    1. Morning, Pat! We’re at 70 already and humid again…still dark so I can’t tell if it’s cloudy or not yet. I sat down outside with GT’s food dish closer to me, tried to get him to take some food from my hand. He sniffed at it but wouldn’t take it. Mosquitoes kept buzzing in my ear so I didn’t stay out there long. More rain could be in the offing.

        1. Now that it’s lightened up a bit more, I can see we’ve got a tiny bit of fog as well and almost no breeze at all. I re-filled the suet feeders yesterday – amazing how quickly the WP’s discover it! I saw 2 Ladderbacks on one of the smaller feeders feeding suet to each other. It was from inside and thru the blinds and screen so the one pic I took isn’t very good – opening the door would have scared them away. I couldn’t tell if one was male and the other female or they were the same but it was so cute. They took turns feeding each other! LOL

Biden admin confirms it’s withholding key funds for schools with hunting courses: ‘This is shameful’

The Biden administration confirmed to Fox News Digital that it is withholding critical funds for elementary and secondary schools nationwide with hunting or archery programs in their curriculum.

The Department of Education explained in a statement that its funding decisions were based on the plain text interpretation of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA), which Congress passed and President Biden signed last year after a string of mass shootings. The agency’s interpretation means funding for shooting sport activities earmarked under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965 will be blocked across the country.

“This prohibition applies to all ESEA funds,” a Department of Education spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “The prohibition went into effect immediately on June 25, 2022 and applies to all existing and future awards under all ESEA programs, including [21st Century Community Learning Centers.”

  7. “Organization now toying with the definition of death: ‘It doesn’t really make a lot of sense’
    WND News Services
    Published July 29, 2023 at 1:17pm

    By Nancy Flanders/Live Action News

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The non-profit organization The Uniform Law Commission (ULC) will make a decision next week as to whether it will amend its current definition of brain death. According to a statement from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), which opposes the proposed change, the revision “would replace the standard of whole brain death with one of partial brain death” in the Uniform Determination of Death Act (UDDA). The current definition in the UDDA states that brain death is the “irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire brain including the brainstem.”

The proposed revision would change that to the “permanent loss of brainstem reflexes.” According to Nature, it was the “growing number of lawsuits around the United States” against doctors and hospitals regarding conflicting levels of brain death diagnosis that led to the proposed change. A group of neurologists, doctors, attorneys, and bioethicists now want to make the language more precise so that doctors and hospitals across the country are on the same page regarding what it means to be brain dead and which areas of the brain “are relevant to recovery.”

There are 15 voting members of the ULC who will decide on the proposed change — and none are physicians. “It doesn’t really make a lot of sense,” said Ariane Lewis, a neurocritical care clinician at NYU Langone Health. “Death is something that should be a set, finite thing. It shouldn’t be something that’s left up to interpretation.” In a letter concerning the upcoming vote, the USCCB urged “the Commission to retain the current standard of ‘irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire brain including the brain stem.’”

It explained, “The basis for our objection [to the definition change] is that the proposed revision will allow patients who exhibit partial brain function to be declared ‘legally dead’ when they are not biologically dead. Pope Saint John Paul II stated that “the complete and irreversible cessation of all brain activity, if rigorously applied, does not seem to conflict with the essential elements of a sound anthropology.” Nothing in Catholic teaching provides support for lowering the criterion to something less than ‘irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire brain.’ We are opposed to lowering that standard in the absence of compelling scientific evidence.”

A concern is that organs will be taken from individuals who have been declared brain dead but are not yet dead. While the Catholic Church allows for organ donation, said the USCCB, “vital organs may be procured only after death has been determined with moral certitude.”

The group continued, “Revising the UDDA to support the idea that partial brain death is sufficient for vital organ retrieval could have the unintended effect of dissuading people — likely whether they profess the Catholic faith or not — from becoming donors and ultimately reduce the number of organs available for transplant.”

The USCCB is also concerned about the clinical guidelines that have been created. “We are further concerned that the substitution of the term ‘permanent’ for ‘irreversible’ will be used to justify protocols that actively occlude blood flow to the brain during controlled circulatory death. Under this controversial protocol, the transplant team could directly cause the death of the donor.”

  8. “U.S. ‘News’-Media Hide U.S. Agent’s Description of His Participation in America’s February 2014 Coup in Ukraine”
    July 31, 2023
By Eric Zuesse (blogs at https://theduran.com/author/eric-zuesse/)

EXCERPT: “The U.S.-and-allied ‘news’-media’s hiding of important news is just as important as the news-story that they are hiding is — and sometimes even more important than that news-story itself was. The present article is about the hiding of America’s having perpetrated the coup in Ukraine in February 2014 that started the war in Ukraine. Anyone who is more interested in U.S. V.P. Joe Biden’s having been a leading enforcer of corruption upon the newly (Obama) installed government in Ukraine should first see the earlier interview that had been done of the same interviewee, which is here.

But the present focus is instead on the U.S.-and-allied ‘news’-media’s hiding of the coup, itself, and their lying to allege it to have been, instead, ‘Ukraine’s democratic revolution’ (no coup at all) — which is how the U.S.-and-allied ‘news’-media continue to say that it was, their lying about that history. (Incidentally, any honest news-media had available to them at least by no later than 12 March 2014 — just two weeks after the coup — the evidence that this had been a U.S. coup instead of any ‘democratic revolution’; and one brilliant independent video investigative journalist even posted to youtube on that very date an excellent 10-minute-long compendium of the key raw evidences displaying that it was a U.S. coup as it’s linked-to here (all the ten minutes of it — and here is its smoking gun portion up close); so, why couldn’t such ‘news’-media as NYT, WP, CNN, Fox, London Times, PBS, NPR, BBC, etc., have done the same — with their vast budgets? They could have — but their top managements didn’t want them to; they censored it out. They knew that they were spreading lies and hiding truths.)

So: the original news-story here (the U.S. coup — even called “the most blatant coup in history” by one prominent U.S. expert) is still being hidden, even more than eight years later. But, now, we get to that U.S.-installed Ukrainian diplomat’s description of his participation in that coup:

His name is Andreii Telizhenko. The 13,000-word transcript of his testimony is shown here, and the 83-minute-long video of that testimony is STARTING AT 10:04 into the 83-minute interview.

That testimony is already after 10 minutes into his testimony, which described the 2020 Clinton campaign trying to use Telizhenko to get ‘dirt’ against Trump as being a Putin stooge so that Clinton could electorily crush Trump and complete the job that Obama had started — which Biden instead has been working to complete.

(So: we’ve now linked here to three interrelated news-stories that the U.S.-and-allied press has been lying about: 1. the U.S. Government’s enforcing corruption upon Ukraine, 2. the U.S. Government’s partisan Democrat-versus-Republican contest about what to do with Ukraine after Obama would leave office, and 3. — coming up now — the U.S.-and-allied ‘news’-media’s hiding from the public the truths about what actually happened during that coup itself.)
    —————
And here is the start of the portion of Telizhenko’s testimony dealing with his own participation in this U.S. coup that U.S.-and-allied ‘news’-media hide: (transcription)

  10. “Man who spent $14K to transform himself into collie steps out for first-ever walk in public”
    By Brooke Kato
    July 28, 2023 8:43pm Updated

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The dog days are just beginning for this man. A Japanese native has transformed himself into a canine after forking out more than $14,000 for a custom-made collie costume. The private citizen, who goes only by Toco online, says the unusual garment has helped actualize his dream of “becoming an animal.” Footage shared to Toco’s YouTube channel, where he boasts more than 32,000 subscribers, shows him clad in the costume as he frolics on a lawn, rolls on a floor, and plays fetch. Toco has even uploaded a video of himself venturing out in public as a dog for the very first time.

Bystanders appeared to be in awe of the man’s doggy debut as he paraded down a busy street in the viral clip, which has racked up 1.7 million views. Toco completed the costume with a harness strapped around his furry abdomen but admitted he was “nervous” and “scared” of venturing out in public. “Do you remember your dreams from when you are little? You want to be a hero or a wizard,” he wrote in the clip, describing his life-dog dog dream as seemingly “unrealistic.” “I remember writing in my grade school graduation book that I wanted to be a dog and walk outside.”

As an introduction to his unusual hobby, Toco answered a series of questions in a video posted last year, admitting he always “had a vague dream of becoming an animal” ever since he was a child. “When I fulfilled that dream, this is how it turned out,” he wrote in the clip, adding that he chose to become a collie due to the negligible size difference between the breed and humans.

Zeppet, the company that manufactured Toco’s collie costume, says it took 40 days to create the furry fashion item, which cost a cool $2 million Yen (USD $14,161). “Modeled after a collie dog, it reproduces the appearance of a real dog walking on four legs,” the company’s spokesperson told news.com.au.

Despite garnering online fame with his puppy pursuit, Toco conceals his unusual proclivities from most of his friends and family. “I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird,’ he said in a separate interview with the Mirror. “My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal.”

Meanwhile, the Japanese man said last year that most of his colleagues are also unaware that he dresses as a dog outside of work. “I don’t want my hobbies to be known, especially by the people I work with,” he told the Daily Mail. “They think it’s weird that I want to be a dog. For the same reason why I can’t show my real face.”

  14. Gaetz wants to defund USAID
    FTA

Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced legislation Tuesday that would abolish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for reportedly pushing issues such as abortion, gender equity programs and climate alarmism abroad.

The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the legislation, which is related to a May 10, 2022 Heritage Foundation report that found USAID was using U.S. taxpayer dollars to push far-left ideology. The legislation would eliminate federal funds for USAID to further carry out any of the functions, duties or responsibilities assigned or delegated to the agency.

The bill would also rescind the funds that are not obligated to be made available for the agency and transfer all other assets or liabilities to the Secretary of State.

“American taxpayer dollars are being wasted to fund radical leftist propaganda in foreign countries. The American people will not tolerate government-funded degeneracy at home, and we certainly will not accept its force-feeding abroad under Old Glory,” Gaetz told the Caller before introducing the bill.

“USAID does not serve a meaningful purpose. It is used as a slush fund for international wokeism. Therefore, serious lawmakers in Congress should support its complete abolition,” he added.

“Tafari Campbell’s “mystery drowning” isn’t such a mystery if he was “vaccinated”–Countless people all around the world have “mysteriously” drowned (or “drowned”)—or no-less-mysteriously died NEAR water—since the “vaccination” drive began. So may we please discuss it now?”
    MARK CRISPIN MILLER
    AUG 1, 2023

EXCERPT: “When the story of Tamari Campbell’s drowning (if it was a drowning) broke a week ago, many folks insinuated darkly (and predictably) that it may have been some kind of hit dictated or arranged by the Obamas, and/or even (maybe) “Killary.” After all, the “authorities” were very quick to claim that there was no “foul play,” providing very few details, and offering no names of anyone who may have been involved. This official silence—and the fact that Campbell worked for the Obamas—was enough to get a lot of people on the right suggesting murder, while a lot of people (i.e., everybody) on “the left,” including “our free press,” just let it go.

‘Thus “both sides” have ignored what makes this story genuinely sinister—the fact that countless people all around the world have been “mysteriously” drowning since the “vaccination” drive began. This “our free press” would know if they were duly looking into the unprecedented global die-off that began in early 2021, instead of stridently denying it. On the other hand, those (few) of us who’ve seen what’s going on, and have been trying to wake people up to it, have all the evidence one needs (if one is rational) to see that Campbell’s death is, more than likely, not “mysterious” at all.

Scroll down for dozens of examples of reports of “mystery drownings” all around the world, these last six months or so. They make clear (or should) that there was certainly “foul play” involved in Campbell’s death—the foulest ever in the history of humanity……”

BGI, the Chinese biotech firm in question, has already been blacklisted by both the Department of Defense and the Commerce Department for its criminal business practices and its links to the Chinese military, but the USDA continues to work with the company on the Earth BioGenome Project, which is an effort to map the genomes of over 1.5 million species to catalog life on earth.

The USDA has awarded this Chinese company $1 million in U.S. tax dollars for its part in this decade-long project. BGI also holds leadership positions on four of the project’s nine subcommittees. “Hollywood film industry strike could hit Hungary’s GDP–Hungary is the second-largest European location for U.S. studios after London”
    August 01, 2023
    editor: REMIX NEWS author: VILÁGGAZDASÁG

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The strike involving the United States’ largest media professionals labor union, SAG-AFTRA, could have a measurable negative impact on Hungary’s GDP, business daily Világgazdaság reports. Hollywood writers have been on strike since May 1, and the actors’ union went on strike in mid-July. This means that U.S. film and TV production has come to a complete standstill. The effects of this will spill over to Hungary in the short term, as several major Hollywood studios have been coming to Hungary to film every year.

“With Hollywood studios gone, Hungary will lose around HUF 70-80 billion (€180 million to €206 million) in tax revenue,” tax consultancy and law firm Andersen Hungary, wrote in a statement. The Hungarian film industry closed a record year in 2022, with revenues exceeding HUF 250 billion, 90 percent of which came from U.S. sources.

The growth of the domestic film industry has been driven by three factors. Firstly, foreign studios were attracted by the Hungarian support system established by the 2004 film law. In addition, given the large number of foreign studios coming to Hungary, the weakening forint also helped the domestic film industry, as American filmmakers were paid in dollars for their work. Finally, inflation has also boosted Hungarian revenues, as the fees for services provided to filmmakers have increased substantially.

Hungary is one of the top 10 film production locations in the world. In Europe, only the British film industry is larger than Hungary’s. The main aim of the domestic sector is to serve overseas filmmakers, which is why the strike by U.S. screenwriters and actors is so painful for the 20,000 or so Hungarian workers in the sector.

Károly Radnai of Andersen Global, a global tax firm, said the strike of the screenwriters and actors will have two different impacts on the Hungarian film industry:

“The screenwriters’ strike only foresaw a medium-term slowdown, without immediate damage. Ongoing productions and those already in pre-production were not affected, there were no stoppages, only the arrival of new projects was slowed down. In contrast, the Hollywood actors’ union strike led to an immediate shutdown of almost all major productions, since without the main actors and actresses, filming cannot be resumed without the main cast and principal actors.”

  23. “They got away with it. Now what? Accept reality and educate the masses to stop the next big power grab.”
    JORDAN SCHACHTEL
    AUG 1, 2023

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The technocratic tyrants of the world still believe that there is only upside to any current and future attempts at sweeping power grabs. And how can you blame them? After all, they got it away with it. All of it. Anthony Fauci is a worldwide celebrity and has taken up a prestigious series of appointments at Georgetown University and elsewhere.

Bill Gates and the gang are jet setting around the world preaching the gospel of the Climate Hoax Church.

The C suite executives and boards of directors at Pfizer and Moderna remain unscathed. Most of the appointees to the Trump and Biden coronavirus task forces have long since cashed out and laundered their credentials through the revolving door and into the BioTech/Big Pharma space. And the list goes on.

So it shouldn’t come as much as a surprise that they’re trying to restart the party to attempt another series of grand slams. The Pharma-sponsored corporate media is once more spreading the fear hype. “Time to bring [masks] out again especially as the school season starts,” read the MSNBC headline Tuesday morning.

An entire segment on Tuesday from ABC’s Good Morning America was dedicated to tracking supposed increasing hospitalizations from coronavirus infections, warning that the numbers are “on the rise.”

As a Giants fan, it is incredibly difficult to witness the great Michael Strahan doing this to himself…I’m sorry to break it to the True Believer useful idiots who still triple mask or whatever, but Covid isn’t coming back. Your co-religionists have largely moved on to whatever the next Current Thing is. Despite that, the bad guys of the Covid hysteria era never faced any consequences for the human rights atrocities they committed since 2019. And in all likelihood, they probably never will.

They have never been held remotely accountable for being wrong and especially for behaving with complete disregard for the unalienable rights of the 8 billion human beings who populate our world. Therefore, this very ruling class faction, with its insatiable appetite for power, will never stop attempting to have their way with our civilization. They’re currently throwing bumper sticker narratives at the dart board and seeing what sticks. And with the Slava Slush Fund became increasingly unpopular, they have yet to find a new long term winning ticket, for now at least.

The battle to hold these forces legally accountable appears to be going about as well as the attempted Ukrainian “counteroffensive” against Russia. The aforementioned list makes that quite clear. On the positive side of things, however, it’s worth remembering that coronavirus hysteria didn’t end because a virus suddenly got weaker. Coronavirus hysteria ended because enough human beings became educated to the reality that the “response” to the “pandemic” was wildly overblown and they were no longer worried about acquiring the sniffles. It’s the same reason why Pfizer and Moderna stock is crashing. The signal has arrived. The game is up.

The problem occurred because it took too many people way too long to realize that humanity had been bamboozled by power hungry tyrants. One of the main lessons of the corona hysteria era is that we need to be much quicker on the draw in providing the counter narrative [the true signal] to the propaganda being deployed by the global ruling classes. This is no easy task, but it’s so enormously important to the cause of preserving some semblance of human freedom, and pushing back against those who wish to transform the entire world into their own local versions of China’s Social Credit Score system.

Education is paramount. And through platforms like Substack, the promise held by the social media app formerly known as Twitter, Rumble, and elsewhere, the forces for humanity still have a shot to win the messaging battle. When the next big power grab arrives, we should hope for much more courage and bravery than last time around.”
