What Shall We Make Today: Christmas in July Party Foods

How about some finger foods to start off? These Santa Hats are slices of banana, grapes and strawberries with a mini marshmallow to top off the skewer. Easy peasy!

Or maybe watermelon trees?

A gorgeous wreath couldn’t be simpler! Some crisp green pea pods with cherry tomatoes and a fresh dip!

Cheese balls are very versatile! They can be shaped into snowmen or ornaments!

But today’s recipe is for a Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread.

Christmas Pull Apart Bread

Ingredients

1 can pizza dough

4 ounces cream cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese

7 ounces basil pesto

2 tablespoons butter

1 minced garlic clove

Fresh chopped parsley

1/2 cup red bell pepper

Mini pepperoni

Fresh rosemary sprigs

Marina sauce

Directions

Unroll a can of pizza dough out on a flat surface, and cut the dough into 36 squares with a pizza cutter.

In a bowl, add cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, and basil pesto and stir them together.

Add a spoonful of the cheese and pesto mixture to each pizza dough square, and pinch the corners together. Close up the seam on your dough square to form a ball around the mixture, and place the ball seam-side down on a parchment paper-covered sheet pan. As you place the mixture-filled dough on the sheet pan, place the dough balls in the formation of a Christmas tree.

Bake the completed Christmas tree for 15 minutes at 400˚. While the Christmas tree is baking, combine butter and minced garlic in a small bowl and melt the mixture in the microwave for about 20 seconds.

When the Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread comes out of the oven, brush it with your fresh garlic butter.

Top your bread with chopped fresh parsley, chopped red bell pepper, and mini pepperoni. Tuck sprigs of fresh rosemary under the edges of your Christmas tree for a final festive touch. Pair with a bowl of marinara sauce for dipping.

And lastly, what could be more fun than a snowball fight in July?

Water balloons, cold water, and a ton of fun!!!

Enjoy!

            1. Considering that I never thought I would be able to own a home – figured I’d be renting forever – it was one of those dreams I didn’t expect to fulfill. For the first 3 years, every time I walked down the hallway and looked at all my “stuff” on the walls…the feeling of security would hit me, reminding myself yet again it IS mine!

  3. I think it’s brilliant. Texas is installing inflatable barriers in the Rio Grande. It has razor wire. Mexico doesn’t like it and the WH wants Texas to remove it–that must mean it’s working. It’s not hidden–it’s not like those trying to ILLEGALLY cross the border can’t see it and know it’s there. SO what’s the problem?

  5. EXCERPT: “What Does the Future Hold?

The trust once broken will take a while to rebuild; there is no doubt about that. It starts with physicians and our commitment to the Hippocratic Oath, those sacred words of “First, Do No Harm”. The practice of medicine has been corrupted for years, through big pharma, regulatory decisions, the corporate practice of medicine and in some instances, government-run healthcare. The true art of medicine is and always has been keeping the health and well-being of the patient as the primary focus. That focus was lost along the way. Healthcare has become the business of illness and not health. We must return to the basics. As Thomas Edison once said: “The doctors of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in cause and prevention of disease.”

    The Dangers Ahead

The World Health Organization (WHO) is currently working on two different approaches to how pandemics will be managed in the future: a new Pandemic Treaty and amendments to the existing International Health Regulations, in an attempt to strengthen the WHO’s control over future pandemic responses. Under the treaty and new amendments, the WHO would focus on:

    — early detection and prevention of future pandemics,
    — universal and equitable responses for all with vaccines, medicines and diagnostics,
    — a stronger international health framework with WHO in charge, and
    — the “ONE HEALTH” approach, that would connect the health of humans, animals, and the planet.

As such, the patient-physician relationship as we know it would further erode. While until recently physicians advocated and “worked” for the patient, with WHO mandates in place, the physician would have to comply with them and follow the directives of the system.

The question that remains is, will physicians recognize the perils of such actions or will they continue on the path of patient abandonment? Time will tell.”

    1. every few months I get “messages” from my “team” at my doctor’s office…telling me it’s time for THIS test or screening or that test or screening. I delete/ignore the messages. then during my annual visit, the PA again says you can have these tests…blah, blah, blah. I look her straight in the eyes and say IF i want those tests I am SMART enough and CAPABLE enough to ask for them. until then, STOP ASKING ME.
when my doctor comes in, I again tell him i don’t appreciate the BADGERING to get tests i have no interest in. He tells me they are OBLIGATED to ask and remind me by the hospital system.
it’s all about $$ they think they are entitled to get from the insurance companies for providing tests I don’t want.

people think oh well…I CAN get this test for free, why not?
they had my mom thinking she was pre-diabetic. because they used low “standard” numbers, and they did during a stressful time for her.
so i took my testing kit and tested her blood sugar after meals all weekend.
it used to be numbers should be below 180 2 hours after meals. now it’s below 140. hers? never made it above 115.
they wanted her to think she might have a problem. why? they told her they could set her up with a testing meter and testing strips—all provided FREE by medicare…$$$$$$$

          1. Yep – same with all those tests the VA wants me to take! It’s a fricking waste of funds!!! Same with this new appointment they’ve set up for me with the SAME people who started this debacle with my sinuses! Seriously??? Like I’m going to do THAT again??? They are out of their fucking minds!!! The appointment is on 8/9 so I’m waiting until 8/1 to cancel it. Stuff that in your pipe and smoke it, asswipes!!! I would wait until the day before but the VA might use that against me so I’ll give them a tiny bit of leeway. They are just checking off the boxes on their checklist, with no thought at all for the individual involved!

One of the biggest reasons Biden doesn’t want news of the millions in payoffs to get about is , not because the DOJ will do anything besides cover up, but because he doesn’t want family members aware of who got what in the family. That creates jealousy and that’s the sort of thing that brings scams down for real…. far more than law enforcement! The falling out among thieves.

So I went out back and called to him; after a couple of minutes, here he came around the corner, slipping thru the fence. Once I get wormer in him and he starts to fatten up, he won’t be able to do that! He still won’t come to the dish until I go back onto the patio….I think he’s been chased away before.

I haven’t looked at the details of this Jan 6 case, what I know is the defendant was sentenced to 7 years. If you think any of the Jan 6 protestors are getting a fair process, you have to look at the venue, DOJ/FIB and judges. In this case, Judge Cooper. Cooper is married to Amy Jeffress, a former Justice Department official and national security counselor to former United States Attorney General Eric Holder. The political persecution continues daily, right under our nose, just like everything else we see. They no longer pretend, they are demonstrating brute power, and they want you to know. That’s why they have been going so hard at President Trump, to tell us if we can do this to a former President, what do you think we can do to you.

The policy comes amid a series of ‘detransition’ lawsuits where formerly-transgender children feel they were pushed into invasive surgeries ”

Tony Thurmond, the California State Superintendent of Schools, was booted from the Chino Valley Unified school board meeting on Thursday after going over his allotted time to vigorously attack the policy.

Over 300 people filled the main hall at Don Lugo High School in Chino, California to weigh in at the hearing, which was marked with hostility as Thurmond clashed with the school board’s president, Sonja Shaw.

After Thurmond condemned the new guidelines for putting transgender students ‘at risk’, Shaw fired back that the official was ‘proposing things that pervert children.’ The board eventually voted 4-1 to introduce the parental notification policy, a move which was met with cheers from the audience.”

  10. “Bass Pro’s background check policy raises questions–The corporate giant is more stringent than the ATF.”
    LEE WILLIAMS
    JUL 21, 2023
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Cecil Trimble, a 35-year-old restaurant manager, took a fishing reel to Bass Pro Shop’s Tampa store last week to be respooled with new line. As he was waiting, he wandered over to the gun department and immediately spotted the object of his recent desire.

Trimble had been searching for a Sig P365 X Macro for weeks. The problem was, so had everybody else. Bass Pro wanted around $800 for the 9mm. Trimble didn’t hesitate. He told the salesperson he wanted it, completed a Form 4473 and handed over his Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License, which exempts him from a waiting period. Trimble had purchased numerous firearms from Bass Pro Shop in the past, so he expected to walk out of the store with his new pistol in minutes.

“The clerk came over and told me, ‘The ATF has approved you, but we’re denying the purchase,’” Trimble told the Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project earlier this week. Astonished, Trimble demanded to know what was going on. The salesperson said Trimble’s brother-in-law had tried to buy a firearm at the store a month ago but self-denied on the 4473 most likely because he misread a question. Unfortunately, Trimble’s brother-in-law, who had lived with him several years ago, moved out but never changed the address on his driver’s license.

“I asked the clerk how this had anything to do with me, and he said it was Bass Pro’s policy not to sell any firearms to anyone living at the same address as someone who has been denied,” Trimble said. “He hasn’t lived there for three or four years. I get the straw purchase thing, but he tried to buy a $200 revolver and I was trying to buy an $800 9mm.”

“The firearms manager agreed with me but could not get the GM of compliance on the phone to talk this out,” Trimble said. “As it stands now, I or anyone living at my address are barred from buying firearms from Bass Pro ever again.”

Trimble pointed out his brother-in-law is retired military, a Florida CWFL holder and not a prohibited person. He must have misread a question on the Form 4473, Trimble said. The staff wouldn’t relent. “My main gripe is this: what if I moved into an apartment and the previous tenant was denied. According to Bass Pro, I couldn’t disprove it’s not a straw purchase, and I can never buy a gun from them again,” Trimble said.

Bass Pro’s response — Neither Bass Pro Shop’s corporate communications staff nor Jarron Ritchie, general manager of the Tampa facility, responded to multiple calls or emails seeking their comments for this story. Calls to Bass Pro’s firearm compliance directors were referred to their corporate communications staff, who did not respond. Multiple calls to the Tampa store’s gun department finally produced a brief interview with “Joe,” who said he was one of the store’s managers. Joe did not provide his last name.

At first, he tried to blame the ATF, but he later admitted, “We do keep a data log on this.” However, he would not discuss or disclose their corporate background check policy. “Again, sir, we are talking about things that I at the store level am not allowed to go into,” Joe said.

Takeaways — It’s important to keep in mind that a gun dealer can refuse to transfer a firearm to anyone for any reason. In fact, they don’t need a reason to refuse a sale. Also, the Biden-Harris administration has declared war on gun dealers. Federal Firearm License revocations have increased more than 500% since Biden took office. If the ATF was able to revoke the FFL of a big-box gun store like Bass Pro, the results would be cataclysmic for the store and its customers. Therefore, it is easy to understand why the sporting goods chain would want to be very careful when transferring firearms.

Still, Bass Pro’s straw purchase fears do not make much sense in this case. Straw purchases usually happen within 72 hours of a denial — not a month later — and nearly all of them involve the same gun — not a $200 revolver and then an $800 9mm.

Trimble was able to find and purchase a P365 from a local gun store the next day. The whole ordeal reminded him of another corporate mishap. “Remember when Dick’s became anti-gun? This could be a slippery slope like Dick’s went through,” Trimble said. “They’re not preventing straw purchases. I answered that question on a federal form, which should be good enough. Bass Pro told me I’d get a call back from them the next day. I’m still waiting for that call.”

Legally, Bass Pro can concoct whatever policies they want, but they also should be willing to explain them when asked by the public. Even at the height of their lunacy, Dick’s still managed to do that.”

  12. “Kiev threatens to sink civilian ships bound for Russia–The warning comes after Moscow de-facto re-imposed a naval blockade of Ukraine”
    21 Jul, 2023 03:08

EXCERPT: “The Ukrainian military has said it will treat all vessels sailing toward Russia’s Black Sea Ports as if they are carrying military supplies, warning they could share the same fate as a Russian warship sunk earlier in the conflict. The thinly veiled threat was issued in a statement by Kiev’s Defense Ministry on Thursday, accusing Moscow of turning the Black Sea into a “danger zone” while vowing to retaliate with force against any ship in the area, including civilian vessels.

“The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warns that from [midnight] on July 21, 2023, all vessels heading in the waters of the Black Sea in the direction of seaports of the Russian Federation… may be considered by Ukraine to be carrying military cargo with all the associated risks,” it said. The statement noted that some areas in the northeast of the Black Sea, as well as the Kerch Strait, would also be “prohibited as dangerous” starting on Thursday.

The ministry said the “fate of the cruiser ‘Moskva’” proves that it has “the necessary” anti-ship means, referring to a guided-missile cruiser that served as the flagship of the Russian Navy before it was sunk in April 2022. Though Kiev has not openly taken credit for striking the warship, American officials told the New York Times that it was sunk with the help of US intelligence. The Russian Navy said that Moskva was lost while being towed to port in stormy seas, after an ammunition explosion on board caused a fire.

Moscow has yet to respond to Kiev’s latest threat, but the warning comes after Russian officials issued a similar notice to vessels headed toward Ukrainian ports earlier this week. Declaring certain areas in international waters to be “temporarily unsafe,” the Russian military said ships attempting to reach Ukraine’s ports could be seen as “taking part in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Kiev regime.”

“The Brandon Administration acquires vintage WWII era German box car for reverse engineering.”

In order to have an accurate type of transportation system for moving political opponents to prison camps, The Brandon Administration has acquired an authentic Deutsche Reichbahn G10 type boxcar. 200,000 copies will be constructed using the $400B originally earmarked for student loan forgiveness but sidelined by SCOTUS. The cars will be constructed with the insides smeared with human waste, and pulled only by steam engines utilizing the hideous sounding high-pitch European whistle for authenticity.

In related news, DHS, ATF, IRS, FBI, and all other armed alphabet regulatory agencies will begin learning to speak German so that the shouted commands for moving political prisoners on and off the rail cars sound more angry and authoritative. Federal personnel will be armed with Mauser 98k rifles, Schmeisser MP-44’s, and Luger pistols. See the new federal uniform styles below. All federal canines will be transitioned to German Shepherds that only respond to German commands.

MAR-A-LAGO, FL — Former President Donald Trump has announced that he will make Vivek Ramaswamy head of Tech Support in his next administration.

“Head of Tech Support for your favorite President — that’s big league!” said Mr. Trump. “Vivek will be a perfect fit for the job. I just know it!”

Mr. Trump has reportedly been impressed with Mr. Ramaswamy, finding him likable and intelligent on camera. “I know talent when I see it, it’s one of my greatest talents,” said Mr. Trump. “Vivek — he’s very smart, and so easy to understand. FT WAYNE, IN — According to sources, a local labrador retriever is being cruelly neglected by his humans as they haven’t even played with him in over 10 minutes.

In spite of repeated requests in the form of yips, barks, tail wags, and very sad puppy eyes, all members of the family are callously going about whatever humans do all day without so much as acknowledging the suffering of the poor creature. How cruel!

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the family did take the dog on a walk this morning and threw the frisbee in the backyard for another 30 minutes when they got home, but then they stopped throwing the frisbee even though the dog really wanted to run after the frisbee again or catch a ball or run or jump around playfully with his humans or chase someone or dig a hole or eat some food.

Instead, the dog’s humans did none of these things, even though the dog wanted them to. Now, he is sitting there very sad, and no one is paying attention to him because they abandoned him and nobody loves him and he wishes there was food and he’s all alone and sad.

At publishing time, someone gave the dog some food, confirming them to be the greatest and most wonderful humans in the whole, whole world.”

“Kamala Harris Petitions Britney Spears’s Judge For Conservatorship Of Joe Biden”
    CELEBS · Aug 13, 2021 · BabylonBee.com

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Citing pressing concerns over Joe Biden’s mental instability after the President got lost in the White House lawn, Kamala Harris has petitioned the judge presiding over Britney Spears’ case for a similar conservatorship of Mr. Biden.

“If the judge thinks Britney Spears is incapable of making her own decisions, deciding about Joe will take five seconds flat,” said Ms. Harris. “Just yesterday, the man gave an hour-long interview to a sock. Then he yelled at a parking meter for not spitting out a gumball, and later I had to spend thirty minutes convincing him that Jen Psaki wasn’t really his wife.”

With Biden and Harris present, Judge Brenda Penny read aloud the evidence presented: “Let’s see here, Mr. Biden it appears that you threatened to nuke Alabama, shut down oil pipelines and then begged for oil, demanded to spend trillions fighting inflation, you think Catholics support abortion, believe Antifa arsonists are some kind of mirage, support castrating seven year olds, believe it is heroic to stuff record numbers of children in cages, you accused Facebook of murder, think thousands of Americans dying in a terrorist attack was not as bad as January 6th, believe requiring an ID to be something called ‘Jim Eagle’, and you have never once correctly guessed the number of people who live in the country you are President of. Mr. Biden, what do you have to say?”

President Biden took a moment to compose himself before responding, “Judge Penny, there’s just one thing I need to know from you. Is Britney Spears actually here? Or do you have her number? Hoo-boy, that woman could make an Oreo blush, you know what I’m saying?”

Judge Penny, realizing the error of her own ways, decided to finally make everything right by awarding conservatorship of Joe Biden to Britney Spears. With Ms. Spears effectively becoming President, polls show Americans feeling historically great about the direction of the country, and foreign leaders have shown unprecedented interest in coming to the White House.”

  19. “Country Music vs. Cultural Marxism: “They’re coming for Country Music because it’s in the way of them coming for you!”
    BY ROD LAMPARD
    JUL 22, 2023

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “When country music clashes with cancel culture it’s a sure sign Woke folk haven’t yet won the Country vote. This week, in between a frantic quest to stop audiences from seeing Jim Caviezel’s blockbuster, Sound of Freedom, the far-left was screaming for the head of CM star, Jason Aldean. Reading racism into Aldean’s Try That in a Small Town, released in May, critics had the July video version removed from high rotation on Country Music Television.

Activists falsely accused Aldean of ‘wolf-whistling to White Supremacism,” inciting gun violence, and cheering on lynchings. They’re proof was spawned from a typical leftwing twisting of a presumed subtext. Aldean’s video ‘was filmed in front of the Maury County courthouse, where a real lynching took place in 1927,’ explained Hugo Schwyzer in his cynical rundown for the Federalist.

“Surely, this is a racist dog whistle! Surely, the choice of location signals Aldean’s longing to return to one of America’s darker chapters when summary justice was dispensed in the streets!” he quipped. Or, Schwyzer suggested, “Maybe Maury County is part of Greater Nashville, and for a video-production crew, it is a short drive from Music Row to a set that offers an authentic small-town aesthetic.

“You know the left, though. They’ll never attribute to practicality what they are oh-so-certain is better explained by bigotry.” If there’s no subtext to mutilate, they’ll insert subtext to manipulate. His greater point – which is well worth repeating – was that the attack on Aldean comes from both the Left’s paranoia and their lust for power.

Country Music is one of the last bastions in the United States that hasn’t sold out to Cultural Marxism, and its “long march” towards ‘total cultural hegemony.’ ‘The left’s answer to this demographic rebuke is to try to erase the culture and heritage of red states, who still have wholesome values,’ argued Schwyzer. If, he said, the Left can convince fed-up urbanites that small towns are not a refuge but instead hotbeds of hate, they figure they can stop the ‘exodus from Democrat-run states.’

“If they can cancel the Aldeans, and replace them with [far-left trans activists, like ‘Jesus was a white supremacist,’ country singer, Adeems the Artist,] the Left can have the total cultural hegemony that has eluded them for so long.” This is, as far as the demographic goes, country music vs. cultural Marxism.

As the late great, Charlie Daniels, wrote:

“What most people call a redneck
Ain’t nothin’ but a workin’ man
And he makes his livin’ by the sweat of his brow
And the calluses on his hands’

‘Now you intellectuals may not like it
But there ain’t nothin’ you can do
‘Cause there’s a whole lot more of us common folks
Then there ever will be of you.”

Country represents hard truth vs. falsehood. Hard work, not a life dependent on welfare. Father God, not daddy government. Christ, not chaos. It represents family values, duty, faith, flag, and freedom. Not line-up, fall-in, salute, then goosestep in unison.

All these things are anathema to the cultural Marxist hive mind. Country is currently counter-culture. Hence the hatred, and skewed logic thrown at Aldean, for Try this in a Small Town. To paraphrase Hugo Schwyzer, “They’re coming for [Country Music] because it’s in the way of them coming for you!”

We previously learned that the FBI had illegally searched hundreds of thousands of citizens’ private banking records and other online data without obtaining warrants in a clear abuse of the Bureau’s FISA Section 702 authority. FBI boss Christopher Wray assured a House committee that “reforms” had been put in place so there would be “fewer incidents” of this illegal activity. But this week’s news suggests that his alleged efforts haven’t addressed the problem. A new report reveals that the FBI searched the data of a U.S. Senator, a state senator, and a judge. All of this was reportedly done without obtaining a warrant. If anyone needed yet another reminder that Section 702 needs to be seriously modified before it is reauthorized, look no further. (Associated Press)

FBI employees wrongly searched foreign surveillance data for the last names of a U.S. senator and a state senator, according to a court opinion released Friday. The disclosure could further complicate Biden administration efforts to renew a major spy program that already faces bipartisan opposition in Congress.

Another FBI employee improperly queried the Social Security number of a state judge who alleged civil rights violations by a municipal chief of police, according to the opinion by the chief judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

News of the latest violations comes as the Biden administration faces a difficult battle in persuading Congress to renew Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which allows spy agencies to collect swaths of emails and other communications.

The government isn’t releasing the names of the officials who were improperly searched, but they have all been privately informed that the incursions took place. The case of the unnamed state judge who was searched is particularly disturbing. Was it merely a coincidence that the judge was in the process of investigating a municipal chief of police who had been accused of civil rights violations? That seems unlikely, to say the least.

  22. More reasons to cut Fox cord. Canadian never-Trumper John Roberts is part of a cabal inside Fox that has tried to take out Trump since he was elected in 2016. He was an a-hole during my four years in the White House and he is an a-hole now.https://t.co/hMekpXPSNQ

WATCH: ‘Just Stop Oil’ Climate Activists Blocked By Counter Protesters Wearing ‘Just Stop Pissing Everyone Off’ Shirts

The Daily Caller reports, “As Just Stop Oil protesters were sitting on a sidewalk preparing for a ‘slow march,’ a form of protest in which demonstrators hold up traffic, a group 0f citizens held hands to form a circle around the disruptors, the group said on Twitter. The counter protesters all wore orange t-shirts to match Just Stop Oil’s colors and their “Just Stop Pissing Everyone Off” slogan was written to mimic the Just Stop Oil font.”

Apparently they had a dialogue, and “The counter-protesters eventually disbanded without incident.”

but surely this abortion pill would have some instructions on what to do with the body. if not, that woman should sue the company putting out the pill.
granted if it’s very early in the pregnancy, it would be flushed I guess–but if the person waits…it must be covered in the instructions /s
