Dads are not hard to shop for if you’ve got a Dad with a sense of humor!
For the Grill Master: Daddio of The Patio Apron
File this Daddio of The Patio Apron under funny dad gifts that are actually useful, especially for outdoor cooking enthusiasts. Buy it for the dad who spends his summer nights grilling up food for the fam. It has an adjustable neck loop and a front pocket pouch for Dad’s grill tools, phone and hand towel. Best of all, it’s easy to clean, so Daddio can throw it in the washing machine when he’s done cooking up a storm.

For the Toothpick Fan: Whiskey Infused Toothpicks
We all know (and love) that guy who gnaws on a toothpick after every meal. Ditch boring picks and gift him these extra-large whiskey-infused toothpicks. The flavor of each pick is released by biting the wood, and there are four different whiskey-inspired varieties included. From single malt to bourbon, these toothpicks are sure to find their home right next to Dad’s favorite recliner and bar cart.

For the Lager Lover: Beer Drinker’s Gift Set
Take Dad’s love for a cold one to the next level (literally) with this raised beer table that holds two beers and a snack for outdoor, post-work drinkin’. The set includes a table, beer foaming stones and a khaki vest-inspired koozie. It’s five o’clock somewhere!

For the Fast Food Fan: Refrigerator Magnet Chicken Wings
We can’t really explain why we like these realistic, life-size chicken wing magnets so much. But we do. And we’re pretty sure Dad’s going to love this unique gift idea, too. The fried chicken pair comes with a 3D flat wing and drum wing that look ridiculously life-like.

For the Koozie Collector: Father Figure Drink Sleeve
“It’s not a dad bod, it’s a father figure,” reads this funny Father’s Day beer sleeve. Handmade from neoprene, this koozie comes in two different sizes: original short and tall. They’re water-resistant and hold up in the washing machine, so they’re basically dad-proof.

For the Dad Who Appreciates Bathroom Humor: Master Crapsman Set
From Poo-Pourri, the non-toxic before-you-go toilet spray brand, comes the Master Crapsman Gift Set—ideal for the guy who spends quality time on the John. The set includes two bathroom deodorizers: Royal Flush and Fresh Sea Salt. The sprays come in hilarious toolbox packaging, perfect for the back of the toilet in dad’s man cave.

ENJOY!!!!

so local Florida laws dictate that President have lawyers who are barred (passed the bar) in Florida.
FTA
Cannon’s order reflects how the case concerns highly sensitive, classified materials – adding another layer of complexity to the high-stakes, first-of-its-kind federal prosecution of a former president.
How long the proceedings stretch out, and whether the trial takes place before or after the 2024 election, will depend in part on how efficiently Cannon manages her docket. Thursday’s move by Cannon suggests an interest, at least for now, in moving the proceedings along without delay.
The new order also puts additional pressure on the Trump effort to expand the legal team representing him in the case. The local rules for the Florida court where the case was filed require that Trump have counsel barred in the state.
At Tuesday’s initial appearance hearing, joining Trump at the defense table was Kise, a former Florida solicitor general who was able to waive in the appearance of Blanche, who is not barred in Florida but who was the second attorney representing Trump at the hearing.
Blanche previously had a clearance and a member of Kise’s legal firm who will be assisting him in the case has a security clearance now, the source told CNN.
Trump is still looking to add another attorney to his team who will also need to obtain a clearance.
Walt Nauta, Trump’s bodyman and co-defendant in the case, had not secured a local attorney to sponsor the appearance of his DC-based attorney by Tuesday’s hearing, and thus was not able to enter his plea.
The proceeding for Nauta to enter his plea is scheduled for June 27.

so they ruined attorney/client privilege and now they are using secret service to testify against the president?
if that’s how the game is going to be played–then subpoena all the secret service (especially the female ones) who were forced to watch the old pervert swim in the nude
FTA
The Obama strategy was to weaponize every element of the federal government. The Biden administration, run by many of the same people, are taking that strategy to the next level.
Previously, I discussed how Jack Smith, the Clinton allied Special Counsel, had violated the attorney-client privilege of 3 Trump lawyers so far, bringing the total number of Trump attorney-client privilege violations to 5 so far.
Even Trump’s Secret Service detail has been weaponized and transformed into informants.
Secret Service agents hired to protect Donald Trump may have provided key evidence in the classified documents case where the former president is at risk of federal indictment, according to a legal expert.
Former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance discussed a “new and interesting” detail reported by The New York Times on June 6. More than 20 members of the former president’s security detail have testified to a grand jury in Washington D.C., the newspaper reported. The grand jury heard evidence as part of the investigation into allegations Trump mishandled classified materials found at his Mar-a-Lago resort and obstructed the federal attempt to retrieve them…
It was previously reported in April that “multiple” Secret Service agents had been subpoenaed to testify in front of the grand jury in Washington D.C. Further details—including the questions the agents were asked to answer under oath—are unknown….
Secret Service agents are always with Trump. And they are also highly trained as observers and witnesses,” Vance wrote.
“Agents work criminal cases and testify before grand juries and trial juries. It’s their job. In other words, these folks are trained witnesses. As a prosecutor, you couldn’t ask for much better.”
While Trump, as a former president, can decline Secret Service protection, if he were to win reelection, he could not.
There is supposed to be a bond of trust between presidents and the Secret Service agents who protect them.
The Democrat DOJ coup there, as with Trump’s lawyers, has set out to violate that bond of trust and to weaponize people who are supposed to protect Trump.

this article (like many others) brings the arguments for dismissing the charges–but i like his thinking on these 2 specific points: where the grand jury was convened and the broad, ludicrous scope of the search warrant.
FTA
The grand jury illegally convened in the Republican-hating District of Columbia, indicting for acts that allegedly happened in Florida, lacks legal authority under the Constitution. First, the Sixth Amendment, which guarantees the President a right to trial by jury of his peers in the district where the crime was allegedly committed. The D.C. Grand Jury also violates federal law, which provides that all proceedings (including the grand jury) must “be in district and division in which offense committed.” The jury also violates the DoJ’s own guidelines, which provide that “A case should not be presented to a grand jury in a district unless venue for the offense lies in that district.” This entire action should be dismissed based on the illegal constitution of the Grand Jury being set in the District of Columbia.
The execution of the overly-broad search warrant, authorizing a vague search for “any government and/or Presidential Records created between January 20, 2017, and January 20, 2021″ violates the specificity provision of the 4th Amendment, that a warrant must “particularly describe the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.” There is nothing particular about the phrase “government records,” which could very well include non-classified records, a state birth certificate, a driver’s license, or just about anything imaginable. The overly-broad warrant in this case was a license for a witch-hunt, demanding the suppression of all evidence.

OK, down the rabbit hole about Beau Biden…I checked to see if he and ConRon were in Iraq at the same time but they weren’t – ConRon returned in April 2008 (from GITMO), while Beau went to Iraq in November 2008 – I wonder if they knew each other at OCS – both were JAG. Hmmm – wonder why Beau was in Kosovo in 2001? Ah – THIS is why!
From CNN in 2021: “President Joe Biden on Sunday will accept an award from the President of Kosovo on behalf of his son Beau Biden for his work helping to strengthen the war-torn country’s justice system, according to a White House official. Biden’s pre-taped message, which was shared with CNN, will air during a ceremony in Kosovo to formally accept the posthumous presidential medal on behalf of his son, who died of brain cancer in 2015. The award will be presented by Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani.
Biden says in the video that the award is a “great honor,” and that his son “fell in love with the country” when he spent time there. Beau Biden worked in Kosovo after the nation’s 1998-1999 war with military forces and with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to help train prosecutors and judges.”

Hmmm….more about ConRon…VERY interesting, I must say!
EXCERPT: “In a new book published in February titled “The Courage to be Free,” DeSantis said the prospect of a deployment to Guantanamo factored into his decision to join the military in 2004.
“One recruiter told me that the assumption was that the Iraq campaign would be over relatively quickly, and that there would be a need for military JAGs to lead prosecutions in military commissions of incarcerated terrorists at Guantanamo Bay,” DeSantis wrote, using the acronym for a judge advocate general. “That turned out not to be what happened, but it seemed plausible at the time and also seemed like a good opportunity to make an impact.”
DeSantis was in his second year at Harvard Law School when he enlisted. After graduating, he was sent to Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida, as a prosecutor, before being sent to Guantanamo shortly thereafter. Hundreds of individuals were being detained at the facility at that time.
“It’s clear they liked DeSantis,” Charles Swift, a former career Navy lawyer who also came out of Jacksonville, said of DeSantis’ supervisors. Swift retired from service in 2007 after successfully defending one inmate, Salim Ahmed Hamdan, in a landmark case before the Supreme Court.
“He had been in what we call a ‘get-out’ job — a position you get when you don’t want to stay,” Swift said. “Everyone I’ve ever talked to said he was smart. But he had not joined the JAG corps for a career. What I take away as an intelligent observer is that Ron DeSantis was a politically motivated individual who saw a value to military service.”
—————
Ahmed Abdel Aziz, a former detainee who was released after 13 years without being charged with a crime, told McClatchy in a phone call from Mauritania that he recognized DeSantis after being shown a photo of the Florida governor. “I remember his face very well,” Abdel Aziz said. “He was coming regularly on the blocks, and sometimes he talked, sometimes he didn’t.”
Abdel Aziz recalls first seeing DeSantis on what he described as a tour of the facility for the new officer. DeSantis’ visits on the block became routine, Abdel Aziz said, noting that he paid particularly close attention to the JAGs because their positions as attorneys made them especially valuable to the detainees.
DeSantis witnessed and received complaints about forced feeding sessions, Abdel Aziz said. “He didn’t start as a very bad guy, but the course of events, I think, led him to have no choice,” Abdel Aziz said. “Many of the very big leadership, if they want to be harsh, it’s hard from the lower people to take a different turn. He aligned with the bad people in the end.”
Mansoor Adayfi, a Yemeni national who was sent to Guantanamo Bay in 2002 and also held without being charged for 14 years, told McClatchy that he realized after seeing Florida’s governor on the news that DeSantis was present at one point as he was force-fed in Camp Delta. Adayfi said he remembers DeSantis being there alongside Zak Ghuneim, the camp’s longtime cultural adviser, and that he vomited on both of them, an account that Ghuneim denied in a phone interview.
McClatchy was unable to verify claims that DeSantis witnessed forced feeding sessions. Multiple former officers and attorneys who worked around the camp in various capacities said it was possible, but not likely, that DeSantis personally observed them. While he would have had access to areas of the camp where they were conducted, it would not have been in his job description to witness them.”

A question for DeSantis found online:
Why did you sign into law, on May 3, 2021, a new law in Florida, identified as Florida Chapter Law 2021-8, that provides as follows:
Amends Section 381.00315, Florida Statutes, to read as follows, in pertinent part-
“2- (d) The State Health Officer, upon declaration of a public health emergency, may take actions that are necessary to protect the public health. Such actions include, but are not limited to:
4. Ordering an individual to be examined, tested, vaccinated, treated, isolated, or quarantined for communicable diseases that have significant morbidity or mortality and present a severe danger to public health. Individuals who are unable or unwilling to be examined, tested, vaccinated, or treated for reasons of health, religion, or conscience may be subjected to isolation or quarantine.
a. Examination, testing, vaccination, or treatment may be performed by any qualified person authorized by the State Health Officer.
b. If the individual poses a danger to the public health, the State Health Officer may subject the individual to isolation or quarantine. If there is no practical method to isolate or quarantine the individual, the State Health Officer may use any means necessary to vaccinate or treat the individual.
c. Any order of the State Health Officer given to effectuate this paragraph is immediately enforceable by a law enforcement officer under s. 381.0012.”
So, does this mean that anyone who refuses a vaccine can be interred in some type of concentration camp like was done to Japanese American citizens during World War II?

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ CBT News: “Florida Governor and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis has signed off on a bill prohibiting car manufacturers from using direct-sales models in the state.
DeSantis signed the law, along with several others, on Tuesday, June 13. Titled HB 637, the measure prevents most automakers from selling directly to consumers, requiring them to rely on franchised dealerships instead starting this July. Other provisions in the law limit the influence car manufacturers can exert over retailer inventories and prices while protecting dealers’ rights to ignore MSRPs and choose their own model mix. The Florida Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) was heavily involved in writing and pushing the legislation through the state government.
While its supporters may have hoped to completely eliminate the direct-sales model in Florida, the bill is not a total ban as it exempts one car manufacturer, and conceivably more, from the provision. The legislation allows electric vehicle companies to continue selling to consumers without third-party retailers, meaning Tesla, and possibly smaller brands such as Rivian, Lucid and Polestar, will be allowed to operate in the state as normal. Legacy automakers, such as Ford and General Motors, must still use franchised dealers to sell their products in the state.
Conflict over the direct-sales model has intensified in recent years, driven primarily by its popularity among electric car manufacturers. Dealership associations representing multiple regions, such as North America’s largest EV market, California, have introduced similar bills aiming to protect the franchise system to varying degrees of success. Under DeSantis, Florida has joined a growing number of states siding with third-party dealers, even if HB 637 stops short of an complete ban.”

EXCERPT: “”A hospital and doctors in California are facing a new lawsuit for removing the breasts of a 13-year-old girl after she claimed she was a boy. The defendants carried out “ideological and profit driven medical abuse” when they prescribed her puberty blockers and hormones and, later, performed a double mastectomy, Charles Limandri, one of the lawyers representing the plaintiff, Layla Jane, said in a statement.
Jane, now 18, was influenced by people online when she was just 11 and told her parents that she was a boy, prompting them to ask for guidance from doctors. While three doctors said Jane was too young for cross-sex hormones, she was eventually referred to several other doctors who prescribed her puberty blockers and hormones. Within six months, they removed her breasts. The hormones and puberty blockers were given based on a single, 75-minute session with Susanne Watson, a psychologist, according to the suit. Dr. Winnie Tong, a plastic surgeon, concluded later after a 30-minute session that Jane could have her breasts removed.
“Defendants did not question, elicit, or attempt to understand the psychological events that led Kayla to the mistaken belief that she was transgender, nor did they evaluate, appreciate, or treat her multi-faceted presentation of co-morbid symptoms,” the suit states. “Instead, Defendants assumed that Kayla, a twelve-year-old emotionally troubled girl, knew best what she needed to improve her mental health and figuratively handed her the prescription pad. There is no other area of medicine where doctors will surgically remove a perfectly healthy body part and intentionally induce a diseased state of the pituitary gland misfunction based simply on the young adolescent patient’s wishes.”

“Wyoming Range Winterkill Far Worse Than Thought: 80% Of Adult Deer & Nearly All Fawns Dead” — Mark Heinz, June 13, 2023 – 3 min read

(Mule deer from the Wyoming Range herd struggle to move about and find food, as much of their winter range is covered in deep, crusted snow. (Courtesy, Wyoming Game and Fish Department))
EXCERPT: “There’s been concern for months over just how hard this past winter slammed the Wyoming Range mule deer herd and adjacent populations, but it could be far worse than even the most pessimistic previous estimates. As many as 80% of the adult deer in that region might have died and this year’s crop of fawns was essentially wiped out, Wyoming Game and Fish Director Brian Nesvik said Tuesday.
The Wyoming Range mule deer herd is one of the most prized herds in the West. Going into winter, it was thought to number about 30,000, Nesvik told the Wyoming Legislature’s Joint Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Committee.
Nothing Like He’s Ever Seen — The fate of other big game species in the hardest-hit areas, pronghorn and elk, hasn’t been fully determined, Nesvik said. Game and fish typically doesn’t do widespread herd counts in the spring. The mule deer losses were gauged according to monitoring of deer migrating back to summer range as massive snowpacks finally melted off.
Some parts of Wyoming fared well over the winter, and overall the state’s elk numbers remain above objective for some herds, he said. However, the winter was brutal enough is some places to kill significant numbers of elk, which he said is indeed rare. “We did see some winter elk mortality. That’s not something I’ve seen in my career,” Nesvik said.”

Dogs are amazing!!! Entire article: “UPDATE: JUNE 8 AT 10:28 A.M.
RATHDRUM, Idaho – Tilly, the 2-year-old Border Collie who was ejected from a car Sunday during a crash, has been found. He was found on a sheep farm, where he had apparently taken up the role of sheep herder. According to Tilly’s owner, he has lost some weight since Sunday’s crash and is now drinking lots of water but is otherwise healthy.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE: The Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating after a crash blocked SH-41 near Hayden Avenue Sunday afternoon. ISP said they are looking for people who witnessed the incident. The crash happened when a GMC Yukon towing a white horse trailer attempted to turn south onto SH-41 when a Buick struck the GMC.
The driver of the Buick, a man from Spirit Lake, was transported to a nearby hospital and was treated and released. No one else was injured. During the crash, a dog was ejected from the rear of the GMC and is still missing. ISP said the dog is a 2-year-old Border Collie Heeler mix that goes by the name “Tilly”. Tilly has no tail, a dark-colored face, weighs approximately 70 pounds, and was wearing a multi-colored plaid and tan-colored collar with a name tag containing the owner’s contact information.

EXCERPT: “Parents Defending Education (PDE), a parental rights organization, has identified thousands of school districts which have policies that advise employees on how to keep a student’s transgender status hidden from parents, according to the organization.
As of Tuesday, PDE’s tracker on its website shows that 1,000 schools districts, which includes 17,612 schools and more than 10 million students, have “Transgender/Gender Nonconforming Policies” in place which advise educators on how to keep a student’s transgender status hidden from parents, according to the organization. The transgender policies are found in school districts across 38 states, with California and New Jersey schools accounting for the most in the nation.”

EXCERPT: “NEW YORK (LifeSiteNews) — New York City Democratic Mayor Eric Adams on Monday signed an executive order to more firmly establish the Big Apple as a haven for mutilating transgender surgeries and drugs. The move comes in direct response to laws in over a dozen Republican states restricting the destructive procedures for minors.
Mayor Adams signed Executive Order 32 on June 12 to shield physicians who provide so-called “gender-affirming care” (i.e. mutilating procedures like vaginoplasties and double mastectomies, as well as pharmaceutical drugs like sterilizing cross-sex hormones) from legal action by prosecutors or investigators either inside or outside the state.”

SMDH…you just gotta luv today’s doctors!!! My Mom hasn’t had a colonoscopy for many, many years…IF she ever had one – she doesn’t recall! She has been having a loss of bowel control for several weeks now and was supposed to be scheduled for it…but nooooo…let’s just control it with drugs – that’s the ticket! Who cares what’s causing it?!?!

“Dory, a German shepherd dog, fell from a cliff in Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach at around 7 p.m. Wednesday. A helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria was dispatched to rescue the injured dog. The dog fell more than 300 feet down a nearly vertical cliff from a hiking trail in the park, according to a Twitter thread from USCGPacificNorthwest.
The part of the beach where Dory was trapped is only accessible by rappelling from a hiking trail, according to the Coast Guard. After a rope rescue team failed to reach Dory from land, they requested assistance from a Coast Guard helicopter to try to reach the dog from the air. The five-person crew of the MH-60 Jayhawk based in Astoria was able to rescue Dory about an hour after she fell.
Upon arriving, the crew decided that the best way to reach the dog was to deploy a rescue swimmer. “The waves were starting to lap at her, and she was sitting and just waiting,” said Lt. Jake Mullins, 36, pilot of the MH-60 Jayhawk. Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Clayton Maidow, 32, was the rescue swimmer dispatched to rescue Dory. After swimming to the beach where the dog was, Maidow determined she was injured but conscious and could be hoisted to the helicopter in a rescue basket.”
