DIY: Hoppy Easter Crafts

Several years ago, my granddaughter and I made these adorable (and EASY!) Easter jars.  They require clean, empty jars, paint, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, a puff ball and some foam or felt scraps.

Of course, there’s ALWAYS Mason Jars to paint…LOL

This bunny is basically the same idea only you use 2 small glass globes.  I used rounded glass containers that I saved after I burned the candles in them.  I microwaved the glasses to liquefy the remaining bits of wax and poured that out.  Then I washed them and used them!

This idea uses a flowerpot, some burlap for the ears, googly eyes, a wooden ball (for the nose) and ribbon!

How about a super easy carrot?  You’ll need a clay pot and saucer, some twine, felt, acrylic paint and glue.

Lastly, I offer these bunny sachets!!

 You’ll need to draw a bunny shape (see picture below) on doubled fabric, and then, starting at the flat bottom part, sew around the edge.  (If you want that exact size, add a ¼ to ½ inch around the edge for a seam.)  Leave an opening so you can turn the bunny inside out. Turn the sewed bunny inside out and then tie a ribbon at the base of the ears to prevent the filling from going into the ears.  Use a funnel to spoon a mixture of dry rice and dried lavender into the bunny head. Stitch the opening closed. Add a face with a fabric marker if desired.

    1. Morning, Pat! I posted something yesterday about more coming your way, IIRC…..we are at 23 this morning but it’s supposed to warm up a lot today – they are predicting up to 85 next week!!! GS said he would help me with hauling off some limbs and stuff today. That won’t be my biggest priority at the moment – cleaning out the flower beds will come first. But what he doesn’t know, won’t hurt him! LOL

    The Kansas Legislature finally rallied enough votes on Wednesday needed to override Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto of a bill banning transgender girls and women from girls and women’s sports at public schools and colleges.

    Lawmakers failed the last two years to override a veto to similar bills.

    Kansas now stands with 19 other states that have enacted laws limiting transgender girls to participating in sports that align with the gender they were assigned at birth. The Kansas law does not affect transgender boys.

              4. There used to be a show on TV years ago….I thought it was The Munsters but I can’t find any reference to it. Some monster show and they had a pet they called “It.” Do you remember that? It was munchkin-size and covered in long white hair – waddled kind of like R2D2….hang on…or was it in Star Wars and R2D2 had a long white wig on?

  29. This story (and of course, the differing treatments) confuses me. Jack Smith, et al, is making a big deal out of President Trump “rummaging thru” his documents (some may have been classified, some not) AFTER he was subpoenaed to see what documents were in there. He has ultimate clearance. why would it be a crime for him to look thru those documents? After all, if there were any that weren’t classified he has a right to retain those–he even has a right to retain classified ones–if he’s writing a book–like other Presidents. But ultra maggot’s former assistant had access FOR YEARS (as well as any other non cleared person) to access his classified documents. why hasn’t at least SHE been arrested?

    While the press is focusing on President Trump, a disturbing piece of testimony has been delivered to the House oversight committee on just how carefully Joe Biden safeguarded U.S. classified documents in his possession.

    According to Breitbart News:

    Classified documents were transported from then-Vice President Joe Biden’s safekeeping to the Penn Biden Center, where they were kept in an unlocked closet and remained accessible to center employees and potentially others, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) revealed Tuesday after an interview with Biden’s former assistant, Kathy Chung.

    Chung, who current Biden administration officials appear to blame for the mishandling of Biden’s classified documents, told Comer that Biden’s classified documents remained unsecured at the Penn Biden Center for years and remained accessible to her until May 2022.

    “This story does not begin in November 2022, as represented by President Biden’s attorney,” Comer said in a statement. “[T]hen-White House Counsel Dana Remus tasked Kathy Chung with retrieving these boxes from the Penn Biden Center as early as May 2022.”

    Public records reported by the New York Post suggest that Chinese Communist Party-linked individuals or entities donated at least $54 million between 2014 and 2019 to the Penn Biden Center.

    Obviously, anyone could get their hands on these documents who wanted them, and if Joe Biden was “saving” them, from among all the classified documents he came into contact with, they might well have been important.

    The testimony from Chung, who was Joe Biden’s assistant hired at the recommendation of Hunter Biden, suggests that the documents pertained to Ukraine, Iran and the U.K.

    Why the secrets from these places would have been important to Joe is something of a mystery, but it’s pretty obvious he had no business keeping them at a China-funded entity, and apparently there were quite a lot of them — which have been found not just there but in multiple places. At the House oversight committee, Rep. James Comer noted that he was particularly concerned about one classified document that Hunter handed over to Burisma, the Ukrainian energy conglomerate. Why the heck would this dirty, corrupt foreign entity be entitled to have such documents when ordinary Americans could be jailed for just looking at one? Why have classified information at all when all it’s doing is serving as gravy for Joe Biden’s personal enrichment?

    It’s astonishing how these documents could have been passed around, and no, this doesn’t look like the typical pattern seen of ex-presidents having classified documents in their possession for the purpose of writing their memoirs. Someone in the Biden camp wanted those documents to put to work, to make money for them. It’s one after another.

    It puts the lie to Joe’s claim that he had only a few classified documents and they “were not on the street.”

    These revelations suggest that yes, they were indeed left out on the street, and like illegal drugs, had a street value of millions. The Biden family fortune suggests just that.
