What Shall We Bake Today?

Today’s offering is a cute Easter cake that I’ve made with my granddaughter…a Bunny Butt Cake!

1 box yellow or white cake mix

Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box

Tray or cardboard covered with wrapping paper and plastic food wrap or foil

1 container vanilla frosting

Red food color

1 large marshmallow, cut in half

3 cups shredded coconut

Green food color

2 strawberry or cherry stretchy and tangy taffy candies (from 6-oz bag)

1 fruit roll up

3 green-colored sour candies, separated into strips

Construction paper

Heat oven to 325°F. Grease 1 1/2-quart ovenproof bowl (8 inches across top) with shortening; coat with flour (do not use cooking spray). Lightly grease 3 muffin cups in regular-size muffin pan.

Make cake batter as directed on box. Pour cake batter in 3 muffin cups, filling two-thirds full. Pour remaining batter into 1 1/2-quart bowl.

Bake cupcakes 17 to 21 minutes, bowl 47 to 53 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove cakes from muffin cups and bowl; place rounded sides up on cooling racks. Cool completely, about 1 hour. If necessary, cut off rounded tops of cakes.

Spoon frosting into large bowl. Add red food color to make desired pink color. Place bowl cake on tray cut side down; spread 1/3 cup frosting over cake. Use frosting to adhere cupcakes to bowl cake for feet and bunny tail. Use toothpicks if necessary. Place marshmallow halves, cut sides down, on tops of 2 cupcakes to make heels of feet. Spread thin layer of frosting over side and top of cake to seal in crumbs. Freeze cake 30 to 45 minutes to set frosting.

Spread remaining frosting over cake. Sprinkle with 2 cups of the coconut; press gently to adhere. Shake 1 cup coconut and 3 drops green food color in tightly covered jar until evenly tinted. Surround bunny with tinted coconut. Use rolling pin to press strawberry candies into 2 large rectangles. Cut 2 large ovals and 6 small circles out of candy. Press onto bottoms of bunny feet, using frosting if needed.

Roll up fruit snack to make carrot shapes. Cut green sour candies in half crosswise; press into large end of each carrot to make greens on carrot. Cut ears from construction paper; wrap ends that will be inserted into cake with plastic food wrap. Insert into cake. Remove ears, plastic wrap and toothpicks before serving. Store loosely covered.

  1. EXCERPT: “Autism” rates are skyrocketing among children in the United States, especially in the state of California, according to new data obtained from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The new figures claim one in 36 American eight-year-olds, or 2.8 percent, have been diagnosed with autism. This is higher than the 1 in 44, or 2.3 percent of December 2021. By comparison with the CDC’s first autism prevalence report, published in 2007, the increase is shocking: only 1 in 150 children, or 0.7 percent, had been diagnosed sixteen years ago.

The new data makes concerning reading at a time when the nation’s children seem sicker and unhappier than ever before. Back in November, we reported on how members of Generation Z are suffering massive, pandemic-induced depression. Millions of Zoomers were diagnosed with mental-health problems during the pandemic, highlighting the terrible effects of the social-distancing measures, and the constant barrage of fear propaganda, on a generation that had already been identified as perhaps the most fragile and troubled in recent times.

Last week we reported on how Big Pharma is now using “patient-influencers” on TikTok to sell new drugs to teenagers. A new study in The Journal of Medical Internet Research reveals a very dark side to influencer marketing, a segment which is expected to be worth $23 billion this year. Pharmaceutical companies are now paying influencers to help sell “weight loss” drugs like semaglutide, otherwise known by its brand names of Ozempic and Wegovy.

“The bottom line here is that patient influencers act as a form of interactive direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising, sharing their knowledge and experiences on pharmaceutical drugs with communities of followers in which they wield great influence,” said study author Erin Willis, an associate professor of advertising, public relations and media design.”

How can these folks be banned for “reporting” on it???

      1. i don’t know that anyone can explain it other than Musk is not aware of the biased employees left at twitter. the banned group did NOT create the banner, they merely reported on it. i don’t know that the poster was shared before on twitter–so maybe they are claiming that by sharing it they are encouraging violence?
rather than attack the “protected” group for their own poster, they are attacking the messengers who are broadcasting it worldwide.

So interesting to see the IRS “MAKE A STRANGE HOUSE CALL” (WSJ) ON MATT TAIBBI DURING HIS HOUSE TESTIMONY ON TWITTER AND ALL SORTS OF BAD GOVERNMENT ACTS. THAT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE, IT IS JUST PLAIN BRAZEN & STUPID! BUT EVEN MORE BRAZEN & STUPID IS THE WAY THEY HAVE HANDLED ME, LEAKING INFORMATION (WHICH IS ILLEGAL!) &, MAKING A DEAL & THEN BREAKING IT FOR STRICTLY POLITICAL REASONS. I HAD A “DONE DEAL” BEFORE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT-THEY BROKE IT! TREATED WORSE THAN TEA PARTY & EVANGELICALS

I could have easily made a very good deal with the IRS during my 4 years as President, but thought it inappropriate to do so. Besides, I already had a deal from before my Presidency-A deal which they choose not to honor. So now I am demanding the original deal, without late changes in the rules & regulations so that deal would be harder to make. Most people would say that after watching the Biden family take advantage of government, I should have made deal during my term. To me, CONFLICT

Matt Gaetz introduces Somalia war powers resolution, forcing vote on removing armed forces, excluding those assigned to protect the U.S. Embassy.

“While the Congressional War Machine has decided to rage on in Syria, they must explain how continuing the occupation of Somalia best serves the interests of the American people at home. If they cannot, it is incumbent upon the Congress to bring our troops home from Somalia,” the congressman said.

The war powers resolution would force a vote in the House of Representatives within 18 days of the resolution’s introduction. It would also mandate the removal of U.S. armed forces from Somalia no later than 365 days after the resolution’s adoption.

Senator Rand Paul has claimed that Anthony Fauci is still working for the government in order to take advantage of federal legal protection against claims that he engaged in a cover up on the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.

Appearing on Hannity, Paul stated “There is a massive coverup going on and the lead in all of the coverup has been Fauci.”

The Senator continued, “We now have information that he is still working for the government even though he says he is retired.”

“It is my belief that he is worried about being indicted and so he continues to work so he will get legal protection under the federal government,” Paul asserted.

“This is wrong on every level of it and we are going to get to the bottom of it. We are sending a letter to find out what the actual status of his employment is,” Paul added.

“Is he retired? Is he still getting a federal detail? There is a lot of stuff going on, but at the top of every sort of concern we have it is Tony Fauci,” the Senator further noted.

Last week, Paul accused Anthony Fauci of ‘weaponising’ government to get people on board with a COVID lab leak cover up.

“This guy weaponized the NIAD. He weaponized it to get his supporters,” Paul emphasised, adding “At first, they said, ‘My goodness. It came from a lab.’ And then, all of a sudden, they changed their mind. They got more money. They got more grants.”

“He used that grant-making authority — who gets it — and he weaponized government to get what he wanted,” Paul urged, adding “and that was the cover-up.”

  15. guess who told US Marshalls NOT to arrest protestors at SCOTUS’s private residences? go ahead guess…I’ll wait….
    (jeopardy music playing…)
    you’re right! GARLAND!
    entire article

U.S. Marshals assigned to guard Supreme Court justices during the controversy over Roe v. Wade last year were reportedly told not to arrest protesters that gathered outside their private homes.

Last year, individual Supreme Court Justices were targeted by protesters after an illegal leak of a draft decision aiming to overturn Roe v. Wade before it had been officially decided. At the time, even the left-wing Washington Post admitted such protests were likely illegal according to Title 18, Section 1507, of the U.S. Code.

“While protest is indeed ingrained in American democracy, legally speaking, the comparison between protesting a politician at home and a member of the judiciary at home is inexact. And experts say the latter category of protests is probably illegal regardless of how peaceful the demonstrations are,” the Post admitted.

“The law states that it is illegal, ‘with the intent of influencing any judge to: ‘picket or parade “’n or near a building or residence occupied or used by such judge, juror, witness, or court officer,’” it added, “‘or with such intent,’ to resort’“to any other demonstration in or near any such building or residence.’”

According to documents obtained by Alabama Republican Sen. Katie Britt, Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered U.S. Marshals not to arrest protesters, telling them it should “not” be a priority. Per the Washington Times:

Mr. Garland told senators earlier this month that his prosecutors couldn’t bring cases unless the marshals made arrests, and the marshals on the scene didn’t think there was a reason to do that.

Ms. Britt said the guidance documents show they were directed not to.

“They were actively discouraged from doing so,” she said.

A section of the guidance given to marshalls even said that arrests were “not the goal” of their deployment, with another section advising that arrests should be “a last resort to prevent physical harm.”

Regarding the law barring Americans from pressuring judges to influence a court decision, the attorney general told agents in the guidelines that the law could face legal challenges and discouraged them from using that as a base to make an arrest. Sen. Britt also said that the guidance told agents to coordinate with federal prosecutors before making an arrest, which also contradicts Garland’s claim that the agents were free.

“Any contemplated [marshals] enforcement action should be coordinated in advance with the appropriate USAO,” the guidance said.

At the height of the protests, police arrested California resident Nicholas John Roske, 26, near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house in Maryland after he had allegedly traveled there to murder the sitting judge to protect Roe v. Wade.

“A California man carrying at least one weapon near Brett M. Kavanaugh’s Maryland home has been taken into custody by police after telling officers he wanted to kill the Supreme Court justice,” reported the Washington Post at the time.

“Two people familiar with the investigation said the initial evidence indicates the man was angry about the leaked draft of an opinion by the Supreme Court signaling that the court is preparing to overturn Roe. v. Wade,” continued the Post.

Police and court documents say that Roske had in his possession a Glock-17 pistol, a tactical knife, pepper spray, zip ties, and a crowbar.

Italy moves to ban lab-grown meat to protect food heritage

Italy’s right-wing government has backed a bill that would ban laboratory-produced meat and other synthetic foods, highlighting Italian food heritage and health protection.

If the proposals go through, breaking the ban would attract fines of up to €60,000 (£53,000).

Francesco Lollobrigida, who runs the rebranded ministry for agriculture and food sovereignty, spoke of the importance of Italy’s food tradition.

The farmers’ lobby praised the move.

  17. “The Decades of Evidence That Antidepressants Cause Mass Shootings–As we have seen with the vaccines, almost no social cost can keep a lucrative pharmaceutical off the market.”

    A Midwestern Doctor

Note: This original version of this article was published a year ago, but sadly is just as pertinent now as it was then. Each time one of these shootings happen, I watch people get up in arms over what needs to be done to stop murdering our children, but at the same time this, the elephant in the room, the clear and irrefutable evidence linking psychiatric medications to homicidal violence is never discussed (which I believe is due their sales making approximately 40 billion dollars a year).

Many of the stories in here are quite heart wrenching, and I humbly request that you make the effort to bear witness to these tragic events.

Prior to the Covid vaccinations, psychiatric medications were the mass-prescribed medication that had the worst risk-to-benefit ratio on the market. In addition to rarely providing benefits to patients, there is a wide range of severe complications that commonly result from psychiatric medications. Likewise, I and many colleagues believe the widespread adoption of psychotropic drugs has distorted the cognition of the demographic of the country which frequently utilizes them (which to some extent stratifies by political orientation) and has created a wide range of detrimental shifts in our society.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) have a similar primary mechanism of action to cocaine. SSRIs block the reuptake of Serotonin, SNRIs, also commonly prescribed block the reuptake of Serotonin and Norepinephrine (henceforth “SSRI refers to both SSRI and SNRI), and Cocaine blocks the reuptake of Serotonin, Norepinephrine, and Dopamine. SSRIs (and SNRIs) were originally used as anti-depressants, then gradually had their use marketed into other areas and along the way have amassed a massive body count.

Once the first SSRI entered the market in 1988, Prozac quickly distinguished itself as a particularly dangerous medication and after nine years, the FDA received 39,000 adverse event reports for Prozac, a number far greater than for any other drug. This included hundreds of suicides, atrocious violent crimes, hostility and aggression, psychosis, confusion, distorted thinking, convulsions, amnesia, and sexual dysfunction (long-term or permanent sexual dysfunction is one of the most commonly reported side effects from anti-depressants, which is ironic given that the medication is supposed to make you less, not more depressed).

SSRI homicides are common, and a website exists that has compiled thousands upon thousands of documented occurrences. As far as I know (there are most likely a few exceptions), in all cases where a mass school shooting has happened, and it was possible to know the medical history of the shooter, the shooter was taking a psychiatric medication that was known for causing these behavioral changes. After each mass shooting, memes illustrating this topic typically circulate online, and the recent events in Texas [this article was written shortly after the shooting last year] are no exception.”
