I was so intrigued when I saw this picture, I just had to see the recipe! It seemed easy enough, although I have not attempted it myself yet. (I will update if I do by post time.)
Shamrock Pound Cake

Ingredients
2 packages (16 ounces each) pound cake mix
10 drops green food coloring
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
GLAZE:
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
3 to 5 teaspoons 2% milk
Directions
Preheat oven according to package directions. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. Prepare one package cake mix according to package directions, adding food coloring and extract before mixing batter. Transfer to prepared pan. Bake and cool as package directs.
Cut cooled cake into 1-in.-thick slices. Cut slices with a 2-1/2-in. shamrock-shaped cookie cutter (save remaining cake for another use). Stand shamrock slices at an angle in a greased 9×5-in. loaf pan.
Prepare remaining cake mix according to package directions. Pour batter around and over shamrock slices. Bake and cool as package directs.
For glaze, in a small bowl, mix confectioners’ sugar, extract and enough milk to reach desired consistency. Pour glaze over cake, allowing some to flow over sides.

i don’t think we could keep chickens here…it would attract too many predators…

Yeah, they would have to be in a closed wire enclosure and shut into a chicken coop at night because of the raccoons.

It is here, too, but coming from the E/SE! Bright sun, tho, and 47 now…tomorrow evening some snow is supposed to blow in so I’ll be going to Norfolk tomorrow – supposed to be mid-50’s! Not seeing any chemtrails but I don’t ever see many out here.

‘Heartbreaking’: Pharma Eyes Exponential Growth in Multi-Billion Market for Autism Drugs: The global Autism Spectrum Disorder treatment market is projected to reach $11.42 billion by 2028, according to a new report by 360 Research Reports. Critics called the report “heartbreaking” and called for more focus on prevention by keeping “toxicants out of kids’ bodies.”
EXCERPT: “The global Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) treatment market is projected to reach $11.42 billion by 2028, growing from $9.01 billion in 2021, according to a market research report by 360 Research Reports and announced in a press release on Monday. It’s the latest in a series of reports published over the last 12 months predicting massive growth in the ASD treatment industry over the next several years due to rising global rates of autism and increasing investment in pharmaceutical research and development.
Commenting on the report, James Lyons-Weiler, Ph.D., told The Defender: “For decades, the increase in autism was denied, and any discussion of the treatment of autism was met with the same derisive forces that would malign and mischaracterize the parents and physicians trying to give these kids a better day.”
Lyons-Weiler, author of “The Environmental and Genetic Causes of Autism,” added: “Now that Pharma has recognized the scale of the clinical population of people on the spectrum and is charting a translational path toward their profits, it’s finally considered ok to admit the increase and to rush headlong into treatment programs. “I say to the parents of kids with autism, and to adults with autism: Beware Pharma.”
Toby Rogers, Ph.D., who has a Master of Public Policy, told The Defender, “Everything about that press release is heartbreaking.” Rogers said the press release is about the market for psychopharmaceuticals, including antipsychotics Risperdal and Abilify, to “treat” autism. “These drugs are incredibly toxic and do not work very well,” he said, noting that Johnson & Johnson paid $2.2 billion in civil and criminal fines for improperly marketing Risperdal to treat autism (and other conditions) and then kept right on doing it.
Rogers added: “Johnson & Johnson has also paid billions of dollars in civil suits because Risperdal is linked with gynecomastia — growth of breast tissue in males (the primary target for this drug). The fact remains that there is no pill to treat autism but the market is massive because families are desperate for help.”

“Lawsuits Pile Up Alleging Remdesivir Killed COVID Patients: Despite research showing remdesivir is ineffective against COVID-19 and can cause high rates of organ failure, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the experimental antiviral drug for use against COVID-19 — and it’s still being used.”

EXCERPT: “Story at a glance:
— The antiviral drug remdesivir, brand name Veklury, is approved for use against COVID-19 despite research showing it lacks effectiveness and can cause high rates of organ failure.
— John Beaudoin is calling for a criminal investigation into remdesivir, citing data that it may have killed 100,000 people in the U.S.
— Beaudoin received all the death certificates in Massachusetts from 2015 to 2022, finding 1,840 excess deaths from acute renal failure from Jan. 1, 2021, to Nov. 30, 2022, which he believes may be due to remdesivir.
— A study published in The Lancet found “no clinical benefit” from the use of remdesivir in hospitalized patients.
— The U.S. government pays hospitals a 20% upcharge on the entire hospital bill when remdesivir is used.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the experimental antiviral drug remdesivir, brand name Veklury, for emergency use against COVID-19 in May 2020. By October 2020, it had received full approval. It remains a primary treatment for COVID-19 in hospitals, despite research showing it lacks effectiveness and can cause high rates of organ failure.”

Oh, there is far too much family dysfunction to even try, Pat. Even his daughter is estranged from his adopted Mom and brothers on the subject. She can’t even get ahold of his medical records but, since she is close to my SIL, she is not speaking to me. She is just trying to move on – she is pregnant with her first child now.

“Biden Orders Federal Agencies to More Aggressively Disarm Americans”

by Joe Wolverton, II, J.D. March 14, 2023
EXCERPT: “Joe Biden has issued a decree — the “Executive Order on Reducing Gun Violence and Making Our Communities Safer” — ordering officers of the federal government to “undertake efforts” to restrict Americans’ natural right to keep and bear arms.
In his decree, Biden orders his underlings to disarm the people, using the following language taken directly from the executive order: “The Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall develop and implement principles to further firearm and public safety practices through the Department of Defense’s acquisition of firearms, consistent with applicable law.”
Next, per the executive order issued by the White House of March 14, the Secretary of Defense, the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the Secretary of Education “shall undertake efforts to encourage effective use of extreme risk protection orders (“red flag” laws).”
Pay special attention to the agencies tasked with implementing this gun grab: Defense, Justice, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, as well as Education. Additionally, those same federal bureaucrats shall, per the Biden decree, “expand existing Federal campaigns and other efforts to promote safe storage of firearms.”
This latest fiat issued from the White House represents no more or less than a Proclamation of Rebellion against anyone who would insist upon the protections afforded by the Second Amendment to the natural right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of their lives, liberty, and property.
The order goes on to mandate that the federal bureaucracy expand the waiting period for the purchase of weapons and that the marketing of firearms be put under the watchful eye of the Federal Trade Commission. Not surprisingly, the White House claims that these new “laws” are necessary to protect the children of America from increasing gun violence. The decree declares:
“Every few days in the United States, we mourn a new mass shooting. Daily acts of gun violence — including community violence, domestic violence, suicide, and accidental shootings — may not always make the evening news, but they too cut lives short and leave survivors and their communities with long-lasting physical and mental wounds.”
