Millionaires Row

Whenever we travel home, we pass through Williamsport, PA.  It’s a larger city in PA with a lovely historic district, a vast commercial district and The Little League Museum.  The crown jewel of Williamsport was West Fourth Street in the 1800s. The city was home to more millionaires per capita than anywhere else in the country. This was due to the lumber business and the lumber barons that contributed to the boom in home and church construction. Many of these homes can still be seen today!

The A.D. Hermance House

The Rowley-Hermance Company manufactured woodworking machinery. This 20-room building is an example of the Richardsonian-Romanesque style of architecture.  The interior features beautiful cherry and oak hand-carved wood work by Giovanni Ferrari.

The Peter Herdic House

This home was built in 1854 and changed hands several times, but remained a single-family dwelling until 1957 when it was converted into apartments.  A fire destroyed portions of it in 1977, but it was renovated and restored and turned into a restaurant.  The home features ornate plaster moldings and arches, acanthus columns and a mahogany stairway that curves three floors to a cupola.

The Hiram Rhoads House

Designed by Eber Culver in the late 1880’s for Hiram Rhoads, the man responsible for bringing the telephone to Williamsport, this building is an example of the Queen Anne style. This house has many notable features such as an upstairs bathtub which is encased in mahogany, a solid pecan floor in the living room, and the most magnificent chandeliers in the city.

There are plenty more houses on Millionaire’s Row that have now been converted to apartment buildings and no detail is available about them.  But I have included a bunch of the pictures I could find.

  2. Back then a Million $$$ was a LOT of money – and it was earned by hard work.

My small home town in S GA also had a millionaire’s row – and so did home towns across America.

Lately – communist ideologues and politicians have tried to take away the prosperity of the middle and upper middle class and appropriate it for their schemes, scams and their own pockets.

Communism is always a brutal oligarchy – where the fat cats in power ride in limos and eat and drink the best – steak, caviar and tipples – while the rest survive on cabbage and beans – and tremble for fear of saying and doing the wrong thing and being unjustly jailed or killed.

Filly was asking about you yesterday–Florida had severe weather and she was wondering if you were okay?
I thought it was amazing that with all the HUGE houses there–they didn’t value space around them–they’re fitted in too tightly for my taste…
give me wide open spaces!!! (I’ll take the smaller house–less to clean!)

The Lord brought us a lady who has been an LPN since she was 19 – and has worked with diabetics and is familiar with the SureHands lift and she has a quad patient. Her daughters have also worked with her and they will all be able to tag team with the morning people. I want to build a team that can swap hours when one needs to be out.

Her Dad is still having chest pain – but he’s 88 – and got an excellent work up at the hospital thanks to our SIL who is on staff there. They say he’s just going to have to take nitroglycerine type med for the pain – that it’s the small blood vessels around the heart causing the pain – not a heart attack. His heart was going strong. He’s short of breath – so I’m going to take him some of Sally Q’s CoQ10 to try to alleviate some of his heart symptoms.

    Controlled Demolition

“I assume that by now most readers have heard about the kerfuffle over several sets of classified documents that have been “discovered” in an office belonging to the president, and also at his personal residence in Delaware. I won’t bother posting any links; if for some reason you missed the story, just look at any news site to learn the details. It’s all over the MSM.

“That’s one of the ways we know that a controlled demolition of the presidency of Joseph R. Biden Jr. is currently underway. If the revelations were not a deliberately planned and executed operation, the media would be burying the story.

“In fact, there would have been no reason whatsoever for the information to have become public in the first place. The supposed “discovery” of the initial batch of documents took place in early November, just before the midterm elections. If the president’s men were able to bury the story for more than two months, why not just bury it forever? After all, every government agency involved is under the complete control of the same oligarchs who rigged the election and installed their puppet in the Oval Office.

“There was no reason for the news of the classified docs ever to see the light of day. It would have been a simple task just to deep-six them forever.”

    Jab Injured?

There’ll be a jab for that. Of cour$e.

Protein injection gets heart scar tissue working again

For the study, the scientists injected purified tropoelastin directly into heart walls of rats, four days after the rodents had experienced a heart attack. This task was accomplished via a new technique wherein a needle is precisely guided by ultrasound – it’s reportedly much less invasive than conventional techniques.

Twenty-eight days after the injections, the scars on the rats’ hearts were found to have become smaller, softer and more elastic, to the point that the tissue exhibited “muscle function similar to before the heart attack.” Additionally, in petri dish experiments, tropoelastin treatment was found to cause human cardiac fibroblasts – which are cells that maintain the structure of the heart – to produce elastin.

  9. 5th-Gen Warfare Terms and Tactics
“The deliberate manipulation of an observer’s context in order to achieve a desired outcome.”

    Robert W Malone MD, MS

EXCERPT: “So, what is fifth generation warfare and why does it matter?

5th-Gen warfare is an extension of Asymmetric and Insurgent Warfare strategies and tactics, whereby both conventional and unconventional military tactics and weapons are incorporated and deployed, including exploitation of political, religious and social causes. This new gradient of warfare uses the internet, social media and the 24 hour news cycle to change cognitive biases of individuals and/or organizations. It can be conducted by organized or unorganized (ergo decentralized) groups; it may be led by nation states, non-nation state actors and organizations, non-governmental organizations or even individuals. A key characteristic of 5th Gen warfare is that the nature of the attack is concealed. The goal is to disrupt and defeat opponents by creating new cognitive biases.

The most effective 5th Gen warfare strategies employed by those lacking integrity are not purely based on pushing false narratives, mis or dis information. The most effective strategies mix truth with fiction, and act to increase confusion and disorder in the thoughts and minds of those being targeted, so that they are not sure what or whom to believe.”

“Keyword warrants are challenged in Colorado — Just searching for something can make you a suspect.”
    By Ken Macon
    Posted 3:13 pm

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ ReclaimTheNet: “Lawyers in Colorado are questioning the legality of keyword-search warrants. According to a newly filed motion, after failing to find any leads in an arson case in Colorado in 2020, the police served Google a warrant demanding information on anyone that had searched the address of the location of the fire.

Google refused to comply with the first two warrants but complied with the third, helping the police find suspects. As a result, three teenagers were charged with murder. However, the keyword-search warrant has been legally challenged by the lawyers of one of the defendants, Gavin Seymour. They describe these warrants as “a digital dragnet of immense proportions.”

In a filing at the Supreme Court of Colorado, the defense argued that a keyword-search warrant “is profoundly different from traditional search warrants seeking data belonging to a suspect,” Bloomberg first reported. “Instead, the process operates in reverse — search everyone first, and identify suspects later.” The lawyers argued that while responding to keyword-search warrants, Google has to search billions of users, which raises privacy concerns.

“This is a really significant new legal issue with tremendous implications for not only Mr. Seymour but for everyone in the country who uses Google to run searches,” said Michael Price, one of the lawyers representing Seymour.

The lawyers want the Supreme Court to review the issue, following a ruling by a judge to deny their motion to suppress the evidence.”

  11. “Prince Harry Proves One Thing: The Tabloids Were Right — Martin Clarke, the former Editor-in-Chief of Mail Online, weighs in on ‘Spare’ and the Sussexes of Montecito.”

    By Martin Clarke
    January 15, 2023

EXCERPT: From Bari Weiss: “Like many Americans, I’ve gone on a real journey with Harry and Meghan. When they first got together, I loved everything about what they symbolized. I loved that she was a California girl. I loved that they seemed so genuinely in love. But by the time the Sussexes landed on that Montecito veranda with Oprah I had been reduced to just one reaction: Oy.

I didn’t think it could get more uncomfortable. I clearly suffer from a lack of imagination. Next came the various deals: a reported $25 million for a Spotify podcast; a rumored sum of $20 million for Prince Harry’s just-published book; and then, of course, the eponymous Netflix series.

Reader, I am not proud to admit this but admit it I must: I watched the whole thing. Somehow, six hours I will never recover later, I found myself nodding along to these lines from my friend Caitlin Flanagan: “When she was miserable, the way his own mother had been miserable, he didn’t do what his grotesque father had done—cheat on her, treat her like a broodmare, ignore her suffering; he moved her and his family far away.”

But what I couldn’t get over was the extent to which the couple—Harry especially—blames the press for everything. The tabloids in particular are the subject of the Sussexes’ white-hot rage. So we thought: Who better to hear from Martin Clarke, editor-in-chief of dailymail.com from 2008 to 2022? He argues that Prince Harry’s deep hatred of the media is based on a delusion. In fact, writes Clarke, “the great revelation at the heart of Spare is that so much of the reporting Harry has objected to over the years turns out to be substantially true.” — BW

  12. Video: “Mall of America Kicks Out Black Man For Wearing “Jesus Saves” Shirt – The Media Stays Silent”
    By John Dover – January 15, 2023

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “No one can dispute that America is currently undergoing a racial reckoning. Ever since the killing of George Floyd in the spring of 2020, a nationwide soul-searching over racism has seized hold of the collective imagination, with everyone from massive corporations to national media outlets leading the charge against America’s enduring—even rising—white supremacism.

But what if everyone is wrong? What if the media and the national conversation aren’t exposing racism so much as creating it, or at least, creating the impression that it is far more prevalent than we thought? The BLM protest that burned our cities didn’t help our country to heal.

The latest example is that our media doesn’t care about race or religion that doesn’t fit their narrative is in the video that we received this morning and it comes from Ilhan Omar’s district in Minnesota. Trespassing a man wearing a ” Jesus saves” shirt Saying that other shoppers reported it as offensive. That’s the title of the email we received this morning and I couldn’t believe my eyes!

    Video below:
    [video src="https://defiantamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/mall-of-america.mp4" /]

Here is a more in-depth of mall of America security telling a man his shirt is offensive because “JESUS offends people”. This video shows the front & back of the shirt:
    [video src="https://defiantamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/mall-of-america-1.mp4" /]

The Mall of America in Minneapolis is basically the state’s only attraction. Apparently though, if you wear a Jesus Saves shirt, you aren’t welcome in Minnesota’s Mall of America. Triple Five Group owns this mall. Let them know what’s on your mind.

I’m shocked at what I just saw. I think all Christians should pick a day to put on Jesus shirts and walk in there. There are no calls for religious prosecution or racism for this case because it doesn’t fit their fake narrative!

Mentions of racism in national news outlets have soared since 2015. And this media activity has coincided with a drop in the number of Americans who describe Black-white relations as good. From 2002 to 2013, 70 percent of Americans believed that race relations were good, a number that dropped to half after 2014.”

  13. “5G Is a Weapons System Designed to KILL People, Says Weapons Expert Mark Steele”
by Kevin Hughes January 15, 2023

EXCERPT: “Weapons expert Mark Steele has warned the public that 5G is a weapons system designed to kill people masquerading as a benign advanced technology for enhanced communications and faster downloads. In an expert report, Steele said 5G represents a heinous crime if a person understands the motive behind its deployment.

Steele previously acted as a witness and provided statements in several court cases, exposing the lack of any credible evidence that the 5G light-emitting diode (LED) network and planned neural connection to the 5G grid are safe. He also exposed the nano metamaterial technologies that are contaminating Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinations. His efforts paid off as a judge at Newcastle Crown Court declared that “the 5G risk must be debated.”

“The evidence I presented to the court defeated the attempt by the local authorities and actors in the British establishment to silence me from providing the published scientific evidence on the risks posed to the public and environment from the 5G urban radar network and its ultimate purpose,” Steele said.

That victory in legal battlefield created a publicity storm that helped highlight the actual risks of 5G deployment across the world, as well as the total lack of care by regulators. Steele lamented that the world is blindly following the plans of the technocratic elite and the military-industrial-pharma complex to terminate large numbers within populations across the world.

“The compartmentalization of weapons systems development has played a crucial role in not alerting those within the regulatory authorities and telecommunications industry to the real purpose and intentions of those driving and funding the deployment of 5G and biological chemical weapons masquerading as COVID-19 vaccines for a planned control and command kill grid,” he said.

Steele explains connections between 5G and COVID-19 vaccines — Elsewhere in the report, Steele elaborated on the connections between 5G and COVID-19 vaccines.”

Entire Article @ JustTheNews: “A plane carrying 72 people crashed while landing Sunday at a new airport in the resort town of Pokhara, Nepal, killing dozens of people, officials said. Rescuers are searching a gorge where the plane crashed near the Seti River, nearly a mile away from the Pokhara International Airport, said district administrative officer Tek Bahadur K. C., The Associated Press reported. At least 68 people are confirmed dead and rescuers expect to find more bodies, officials said.

“The flames were so hot that we couldn’t go near the wreckage. I heard a man crying for help, but because of the flames and smoke we couldn’t help him,” said local resident Bishnu Tiwari, who came to the crash site to assist in rescue efforts. Sixty-eight passengers, including 15 foreign nationals, and four crew members were aboard the plane, which was operated by Nepal’s Yeti Airlines, according to Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the plane, a twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft, flew from the capital of Kathmandu to Pokhara. The cause of the accident is not immediately clear. Witness Gaurav Gurung told the wire service that he saw the plane violently spinning in the air after attempting a landing before falling nose-first and crashing.”

Actual Clause 17: “To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.”
    ——————-
“Article I Section 8 Clause 17 of the US Constitution is known as the “enclave clause.”

It establishes Congress’s exclusive power to regulate all matters within the District of Columbia. This would necessarily include all matters related to police power, the option of establishing a city council and position of mayor to run the district’s affairs, and the administration of prisons and the treatment of prisoners.

In other words, your elected representatives, now led by a Republican majority, should be lobbied 24/7 for the immediate release of those imprisoned in the DC gulag now. Withholding federal funding, or exercising the “power of the purse” should be leveraged.”

  19. 7 dead whales wash ashore in a month along the east coast where they are doing preliminary work for wind farms

    FTA
There was no immediate indication of what caused the latest death. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center, based in Brigantine, said it and several other groups were formulating plans Friday for a post-mortem examination of the whale’s remains before the animal’s carcass is disposed of, most likely through burial on the beach.

“We should suspend all work related to offshore wind development until we can determine the cause of death of these whales, some of which are endangered,” said New Jersey state Sen. Vince Polistina, a Republican who represents the area. “The work related to offshore wind projects is the primary difference in our waters, and it’s hard to believe that the death of (seven) whales on our beaches is just a coincidence.”

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection referred a request for comment to the governor’s office, which did not respond Friday.

Earlier in the week, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that, to date, no humpback whale — the species accounting for most of the recent whale deaths in New Jersey and New York — has been found to have been killed due to offshore wind activities.

Orsted, the Danish wind power developer tabbed to build two of the three offshore wind projects approved thus far in the waters off New Jersey, said its current work off the New Jersey coast does not involve using sounds or other actions that could disturb whales.

It did not say precisely what type of work it is currently doing. The company did not respond to a request for comment Friday.

The wire-haired one who died was the one who got all my attention before and the terrier is pretty much nasty to everyone – they often have to put him in a cage when people come over. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen him now since the other one died and he barely even barked this time, came right up to me in a much more relaxed stance. Progress!

If I just stood there when the first 2 cats showed up and ignored them or shooed them away, they would have acted different. But, of course, I bent down and petted all of them, talking to them.

  24. The FDA has scheduled a Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) meeting on Jan. 26 “to discuss the future vaccination regimens addressing COVID-19.” The vague description regarding the nature of the upcoming VRBPAC meeting lacks transparency. Regardless of their agenda, we must demand that VRBPAC looks at the data regarding the failure of the COVID-19 vaccine program.

TAKE ACTION: Submit Comment to VRBPAC: https://www.regulations.gov/commenton/FDA-2022-N-2810-0001

Approximately 16% of eligible Americans over the age of five have received the bivalent booster. This low uptake, combined with serious safety and efficacy concerns, has not deterred the FDA from moving ahead “at the speed of science” to recommend more shots.

VRBPAC is obligated to hear our voices. Submit your public comment to the FDA by Jan.18. Consider using some of these points in your submission:

    — Demand answers about the need for future COVID-19 vaccinations for all age groups when the median infection fatality rate of COVID-19 was estimated to be 0.034% for people aged 0–59 years by Feb. 2021.

    — Compel the justification for continuing the booster program for a vaccine that doesn’t prevent transmission or infection.

    — Share your personal experiences and concerns about the looming mandates that will be imposed once the vaccine is officially added to the childhood schedule.

    — Ask them to stop prioritizing Pharma profits over public health needs and to recognize that vaccine injury is real, not rare.

    — Tell them to explain the data regarding pregnant women and the high miscarriage rate (87.5%) seen among women whose pregnancy outcomes were known.

    — Emphasize how egregious it is to authorize a completely experimental product — that didn’t even undergo human trials — for infants as young as six months old.

  25. “Congress Declares Any Member Who Refuses To Bow To The Bust Of Zelensky Will Be Thrown Into A Fiery Furnace”
    POLITICS · Jan 14, 2023 · BabylonBee.com

“WASHINGTON, DC — The mood around the nation’s capital was somber today after congressional leaders made the declaration that any member who refuses to bow down before the bust of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would be thrown into a fiery furnace.

“The installment of the official bust of the great President Zelensky is a great moment for our nation,” said Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy to an assembly of reporters at the capitol building. “Any member of this body who will not comply with the edict to bow before it will suffer the consequences.”

Conservative voters were taken aback when South Carolina Republican Congressman Joe Wilson presented legislation to place a permanent bust in a prominent location in the Capitol. “I think some of these members of Congress must have attended a few too many cocaine orgies,” said concerned citizen Sal Belfonte. “Placing a bust of a Ukrainian president in the U.S. Capitol could only seem like a good idea if you’re really, really high.”

Rumors spread that Congress was seeking to appease Zelensky with the bust after he submitted yet another request for more funding for Ukraine’s war against Russia. “We’re actually running out of money to give him,” said one lawmaker under the condition of anonymity. “Unless we raise taxes and bring in more from our citizens, we don’t have much more to offer him.”

At publishing time, leaders of both houses of Congress had given orders to heat the U.S. Capitol’s fiery furnace seven times hotter in preparation for executing any dissenting lawmakers.”

  26. “7 Other Problematic Household Appliances That Should Be Banned”
    LIFE · Jan 12, 2023 · BabylonBee.com

“We all know that gas stoves are murderous devils, but they aren’t the only household appliances the government should ban for our own safety! Here are seven other appliances that are problematic:

    1. Toasters: Their job is to turn something white into something brown, which is basically blackface for bread.

    2. Furnaces: Uh oh, that’s basically like a gas stove for your entire house.

    3. Coffee Makers: Do you know how many third-world workers were exploited to bring you that bag of coffee beans? We don’t know either, but it’s probably a lot.

    4. Blenders: These turn everything into one homogenous slurry instead of retaining the individual identity of each ingredient. It’s like they don’t care about diversity at all!

    5. Washing Machines: Separate cycles for whites and colors? What year is it, 1619???

    6. Waffle Irons: You know who else liked waffles? Hitler, that’s who!

    7. Air Fryers: These aren’t problematic, but they take up a lot of counter space. Plus, they’re a real pain to clean.

Now go, be a good person, and throw all these appliances in the trash immediately.”
