DIY 1 Minute

Today’s offering is a do-it-yourself, aromatic project…cinnamon ornaments!

Cinnamon Ornaments

3/4 cup applesauce

2 bottles (2.37 oz. each) McCormick® Ground Cinnamon

Cookie cutters

Drinking straw

Colorful ribbon

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 200°F. Mix applesauce and cinnamon in small bowl until a smooth ball of dough is formed. (You may need use your hands to incorporate all of the cinnamon.) Using about 1/4 of the dough at a time, roll dough to 1/4-inch to 1/3-inch thickness between two sheets of plastic wrap. Peel off top sheet of plastic wrap. Cut dough into desired shapes with 2- to 3-inch cookie cutters. Make a hole at top of ornament with drinking straw or skewer. Place ornaments on baking sheet.

Bake 2 1/2 hours. Cool ornaments on wire rack. (Or, to dry ornaments at room temperature, carefully place them on wire rack. Let stand 1 to 2 days or until thoroughly dry, turning occasionally.)

Insert ribbon through holes and tie to hang. Decorate with opaque paint markers, found in arts and crafts stores, if desired.

    I love the smell of cinnamon! and although it says McCormick’s (since this is their recipe) any type of cinnamon works.
    it’s about 35* here and raining…we are supposed to do a regular banana run later this morning–we’ll see what the weather holds.

Brrrr…..cold, cold, cold – 8 degrees here but still dark outside so I can’t tell if it’s cloudy – the snow scooted by us, thankfully, but it was very windy most of the night….I have some Cinnamon Stick wax cubes I use sometimes and I always put cinnamon in my smoothies. It’s also very good for you.

      2. Let’s be honest with ourselves…the election theft has become MUCH more pervasive but as an example, we’ve known for sometime that Mayor Richard J. Daley stole the election for JFK. Elections have been stolen, likely through out the history of this country.
        Politicians don’t generally want secure elections. (They’re mostly a bunch of cheaters at heart.) spit!

          I was wary of them ever since grade school when we learned all about the 3 branches…but how the branch that MAKES the laws exempts themselves from them…and how only 1 branch had term limits…

    So now it is learned that the FBI, and others in conjunction with the “Justice” Department, met with Big Tech companies to bend them into saying bad things about “Trump” and Republicans in order to RIG & STEAL the 2020 Presidential Election, which was a Scam and a Fraud. Now additional evidence, different but just as illegal and sinister as the many other forms of cheating used, is flowing out of the crevices of this corrupt wound. This is big “stuff.” DO SOMETHING as our Country Melts!!!

      What the FBI did with harassing, cajoling, and intimidating Big Tech companies into corrupting the 2020 Presidential Vote to the side of the Radical Left is no different in meaning than STUFFING THE BALLOT BOXES, only far more sophisticated and impactful. This is a major and very serious violation of the law, yet they come after me for what virtually every other President has done, and is allowed to do by law, probably as a means of complicating and covering up their massive Election Crime!!!

        I am glad that everyone is now seeing the light on what I have been saying loud and clear for the last two years, that the 2020 Presidential Election was rigged and stolen by a combination of Democrats, Big Tech, “law enforcement,” and other bad actors. Sadly, we have become a corrupt Country, perhaps one of the most corrupt anywhere in the world. We MUST right this horrible wrong, and take our Country back!

          Wow! That’s a really big story about Twitter and various forms of government Fraud including, specifically, Election Fraud. The same level of Fraud took place with the other Big Tech companies, if not even worse (if that’s possible?). We are living in a VERY CORRUPT COUNTRY &, AS THEY ARE SAYING ALL OVER THE INTERNET, “NOTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT BECAUSE THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT & FBI ARE TOTALLY CORRUPT.” But they’ll keep investigating “boxes” that were legally & openly taken from the W.H.

    ou can see this note they took down another account but then referred Woods’ account to “Safety” — Twitter Safety — for an evaluation since he was a “high profile” person.

    Not only does this show that Twitter was operating under direct requests from the Democrats but it also involved specifically removing information that could be harmful to their candidate Joe Biden, because it concerned his son.

    If the government was involved, it could potentially implicate constitutional questions.

    It is believed that this is the tweet that might have been in question. It looks like it’s Hunter Biden smoking crack.

    There’s nothing that would appear violative of the terms of service as far as I can tell in that picture. There’s nothing physically visible apart from Hunter smoking. But that would be harmful of course to Joe Biden’s campaign as it would show there was validity to the laptop because of the picture of Hunter Biden. So suppressing it was helping the Biden campaign. This was at a critical point in October, right before the election, with Woods being a big influencer with a very active Twitter account. Many accounts were suspended or locked during that period if they had anything to do with trying to spread the Hunter Biden laptop story.

    Looks like they have a smoking gun here and more on the way. Break out the popcorn.

      On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” actor James Woods reacted to disclosures from Twitter that the Democratic National Committee went after his Twitter activity by stating he’ll take legal action against the DNC and said that the DNC had an enemy’s list akin to Joseph McCarthy’s.

      Woods said, “I will be getting a lawyer. I will be suing the Democratic National Committee, no matter what. Whether I win or lose, I am going to stand up for the rights of every American, not a so-called celebrity, I’m not a celebrity anymore. Now that is the question of the day…..Of course, our vote would be to put the rightful President back in his rightful place, having been massively re-elected in 2020, and give him an extra 6 years BEFORE any re-elections – gotta make up for the first 4 f’ed up years, and the 2 years he SHOULD have been in office.

        Then he can run again in 2028 in the next Presidential election…..hey, works for me! Right??? Or is my math wrong???….that is ALWAYS a possibility!!! LOL

    ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Journalism group Hacks/Hackers was awarded $5 million by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop software that would encourage ordinary Americans to warn their friends and family about misinformation in their online speech. Users of the software would confront alleged misinformation by replying with text recommended by the software.

    Hacks/Hackers has been tasked with developing the “Analysis and Response Toolkit for Trust (ARTT), a suite of expert-informed resources that are intended to provide guidance and encouragement to individuals and communities as they address contentious or difficult topics online,” the NSF group said in an October 24 article.

    According to a video demonstration of the software, the tool will tell users if a social media post is “harmful” and, if it is, it “suggests relevant responses through tailored response examples or templates” that users can copy and paste as responses.

    “Every day there are motivated citizens, like librarians, health communicators, and amateur volunteers, who engage with the misinformation that is posted by their peers and make efforts to share reliable information to empower their communities,” the video said.

    Another video by ARTT claimed that social media efforts to fight misinformation are not as effective in influencing users’ views as efforts made by friends.

    “That’s why we want to focus on these peer connections when it comes to having these conversations online … Instead of coming to you from the platform, it’s actually coming to you from a friend,” the video said.

    The group led by Hacks/Hackers is also working on Wikipedia tools, which will determine those that are a “credible source” on Covid vaccines and prevent sources that are not credible from being cited on Wikipedia.

    The list of credible sources has started to be organized, with outlets like the Washington Post, The New York Times, and The Guardian classified as “reliable,” and outlets like The Federalist and The Daily Wire classified as “unreliable” or “conspiracy.”

    Witnesses close to Musk said the dots first began to appear shortly after he tweeted his intention to provide details about Twitter suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop scandal in the fall of 2020, shortly before the presidential election. “Within minutes of writing that tweet, we noticed the little dots appearing on the walls of every room Elon was in,” said Adrian Haj, a member of Musk’s inner circle. “We didn’t think anything of it at first, but now they’re everywhere. Weird!”

    Musk seemed undeterred. “I understand that there are very powerful forces in this world who very much do not want this information made public. But I bought Twitter to stir the pot, and this really is quite fun.”

    At publishing time, the news was still pending and only a few members of Musk’s entourage had fallen victim to apparent sniper fire.”
