The Snow Charts

November is a month steeped with traditions and family activities.  One of my favorite traditions involved the Snow Charts.  As I mentioned before, the kids were always apprehensive when the snow started to fly, because their father had to travel down the mountain road we lived on at that time.  One snowy day in early November, I kept them busy making Christmas gifts for their grandmothers while we waited for my husband to call and say he arrived safely at work.

(The craft itself was a measuring stick for the yard, sort of like this…)

As we painted the pieces, we began to speculate about the coming winter and what they hoped would be a great amount of snowfall…and the idea of the snow charts was born.  One child would be responsible for the Snow Depth Chart.  The premise was simple.  To win the prize, you had to be the most accurate predictor of how much snow we got at the house for the winter season.  At dinner that night, my husband helped them determine the optimal place to put the measuring yardstick.  The child who made this chart was responsible for accurately measuring the snow in the yard at that point and entering it on the chart. They also had to record on the chart everyone’s guess at what the final amount would be.

The other child would be responsible for the Snow Frequency Chart, which would maintain and record the number of storms and our predictions of when the largest snowfall of the season would occur.  Naturally we had to vote on the rules, such as only storms dumping an inch or more of snow would be counted and the guess for when the largest snowfall occurred was expanded to a week and not a day. The responsibilities would switch every year and the kids were encouraged to make their charts as artistic as they could.   And there were additional prizes, of course.  The competition grew increasingly fierce as the kids got older, because they no longer coveted a $5 prize—they lobbied instead for Get-out-of chores FREE cards and longer curfews…LOL

      McConnell is among the top recipients that we’ve found so far.

      If you’re going to run a con, you have to keep people from following the money. Sadly, if FTX hadn’t collapsed it’s very likely this con would have continued unabated for years, even decades. That’s the state of geopolitics today.”

    The Salvation Army Red Kettle fundraising is gearing up for the holiday season. This is a reminder that the Salvation Army once demanded that their White volunteers and church members apologize for being White. After this insane demand was met with a mass boycott last year, the Salvation Army then announced that they had a record fundraising year courtesy of their corporate donors.

    Do not give them money. Even if you put aside the whole “apologize for being White” insult, the corporations who hate us and help steal our elections are picking up the Salvation Army’s tab. Donate the money you would have given to SA to smaller and more worthy charities instead.

    (I was going to leave the above comment on the Salvation Army’s Youtube channel, but they appear to have turned their comments off, LOL. Hateful cowards.).

    I assume everyone is watching Arizona as the great Kari Lake’s easy election win is slowly, yet systematically, being drained away from her, and from the American people. This is a very sad thing to watch. Mail in Ballots, long election counts, many day elections, machines that very few people understand, massive counting centers, and more, are an American disaster. Our elections have become an unreliable joke, and the whole world is watching!

    Even Jimmy Carter, in his and other highly respected pol’s and professional’s Report, said Mail-In Ballots cannot be trusted. There will be massive cheating. A ten year old child would understand that. When will Republicans learn? If they don’t stop this mail-in SCAM now, there won’t be any Republicans left. Get rid of McConnell. He should never have accepted what was sent to him by Mike Pence. He should have fought like hell, like the Dems would have. Losers are Losers, that will never change!

  24. Wonderful news!!! Piper called me last night! We had a nice chat – I told her about Ashley being preggers and she mentioned discussing with her Dad coming up to visit. She also mentioned that she kind of wanted me to come over for Christmas. I suggested it might be too soon for that – since I have NO intention of EVER stepping foot in that house again! Of course, I didn’t tell her that but she came around to agreeing with me and I reminded her she can come here any time she wants. We talked about her hair (she texted a pic – between you and me? – yuck! Old-fashioned bowl cut…but whatever….her hair, after all), about her going into the 9th grade next year, when she’s 14 next year, she can get her Learner’s Permit. She then wants to get a job to save money to buy a Jeep Wrangler – the one she wants costs about $9K and her Dad made a deal with her – she saves half and he will contribute the other half – well, his Dad will anyway. Nice convo!

    Bush’s conference only subtly hints at tackling “misinformation” and “disinformation.” Obama’s conference, the Democracy Forum, more broadly states disinformation will be a topic. The first panel of the conference is titled “Tackling Disinformation, Protecting Democracy.” Anil Dash, CEO of Glitch, a platform that claims to be “the friendly place where everyone builds the web, is listed among the key speakers.”

    The second panel is titled “Lightning Talk: Dismantling Hate in the Digital Age.” One of the key speakers is Vidhya Ramalingam, CEO of Moonshot, a company dedicated to developing tech solutions to “expose threats, disrupt malicious actors and protect vulnerable audiences online.”

    Obama has been a vocal supporter of content moderation and has called “disinformation” a threat to democracy. “Solving the disinformation problem won’t cure all that ails our democracies or tears at the fabric of our world, but it can help tamp down divisions and let us rebuild the trust and solidarity needed to make our democracy stronger,” Obama said at an event at Stanford University earlier this year.

    Despite most Republicans calling for less censorship, Bush has encouraged content moderation.”

Polls favor Democrats by 3%-6%, so in any race that’s close in the polls, Republicans have a better chance of winning it than the Democrat because real results for the GOP outperforms polling. We saw a clear example of this in Florida where polls that favored Republican candidates underestimated their victories while polls that favored Democrats, such as the race between Eric Lynn and Anna Paulina Luna, were wrong. Luna defeated Lynn by 8-points despite the final two polls showing Lynn slightly favored.

    That’s how things are supposed to go, but this last election was different. Very different. Inexplicably and undeniably different. Instead of close races going to Republicans, they defied every election in modern history and went to Democrats. Even candidates who were clearly winning in the final polls, such as Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake or Pennsylvania senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, had their fortunes reversed.

    But here’s the catch. The red tsunami that everyone and their dog predicted was only thwarted in states where voter fraud is essentially permitted through loose voter ID laws, ubiquitous mail-in balloting, ballot harvesting, and unchecked vote counting practices. States that have stricter laws such as Florida and Ohio saw the predicted red wave. States where voter fraud is de facto legalized like Arizona and Pennsylvania saw inexplicable “wins” for corrupt Democrats.

    Unfortunately, we’re not hearing about this from most in conservative or alternative media. Instead, we’re hearing excuses. For example, I’ve seen many conservative pundits that I used to respect claiming that the abortion issue is what caused the failure of the red tsunami. This is unambiguously false for one important reason. Nobody woke up on election day and said, “Hmm, I know I was going to vote for Republicans and told the pollsters I was voting for Republicans just yesterday, but today I remember Lindsey Graham wants to create a nationwide abortion ban so I’m going to vote for Democrats instead.”

    That didn’t happen. If abortion was the issue that stopped the red tsunami, we would have seen that reflected in the polls for weeks ahead of the election. We didn’t. In fact, many Democrat candidates had switched their ads in the final weeks to stop focusing on abortion because it simply wasn’t playing for the general population. We also would have seen it in gubernatorial races. Instead, what we saw is 100% of the governors who signed an abortion ban won reelection.

    Others have blamed the “MAGA Republicans” for being bad candidates. This is also false. Lake, for example, ran a pitch-perfect campaign. This is why she was leading in the final polls. Without massive, widespread voter fraud, I imagine she actually won by double-digits against a very weak candidate who wouldn’t debate, was embroiled in multiple scandals, and whose only pitch to voters was that Lake was somehow dangerous. So the lady who ran the counting of the ballots after being non-existent during the campaign somehow won against a person the people have known and trusted for decades during her television career. That didn’t happen, either.

    Some are pointing to the student loan forgiveness causing a blue wave among students. This may be the most ludicrous excuse of them all. Announcing that college students voted heavily Democrat this election is like saying the sun rose in the east this morning. Students have voted Democrat in every election for the last six decades. It’s not new. It wasn’t exceptional this year. It didn’t stop the red tsunami.

    You are being gaslighting, as Wayne Allyn Root noted on one of his recent columns, which I included in a segment of today’s episode of The JD Rucker Show. Unfortunately, we’re not just being gaslighting by leftist corporate media. Conservative news outlets are blaming the election losses on everything other than massive, widespread voter fraud.

    Know this. If you feel in your gut that voter fraud is the main reason the red tsunami didn’t materialize, you’re not alone. People on both sides of the political aisle are going to try to convince you otherwise. You’re going to be labeled an “election denier” and for some reason that’s scaring enough conservative pundits into silence. Don’t fall for it. You know what happened. You may not know the details, but you know there is no possible way the general population outside of Florida and a few other states voted for more of the torture this nation has been put through the last two years under Democrat control.

    “It’s the economy, stupid.” For Democrats to have allegedly been rewarded with possible gains in the Senate and far fewer losses than projected in the House is simply impossible with the economy the way it is. It wasn’t Roe v Wade. It wasn’t “MAGA Republicans.” It wasn’t student debt forgiveness. It was voter fraud. Period. Don’t let anyone, especially so-called conservative pundits, convince you otherwise.

    Hopefully, there will be some lawfare finally used properly by Republicans. That’s the only recourse at this point. As Leo Donofrio noted on a recent interview, there are ways we can correct the stolen election in Arizona at the very least. I’m sure there are ways in other states as well. It’s time to find some good, patriotic attorneys and plaintiffs who are willing to put in the work to save this nation. Otherwise, there may not even be a 2024 election.”

    The Hill noted that McCarthy would need to win a majority during a vote of House GOP lawmakers on Tuesday in order to snag the nomination for the role, and he would then need to win during a January vote of the full House in order to get the speakership.

    While it still remains unclear which party will have the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives next year, Republicans are expected to gain control of the chamber, potentially by a slim margin. Democrats went into the 2022 midterms with control in both the House and Senate.

    There are reports that the Chairman of the Freedom Caucus, Andy Biggs (AZ-R) will be challenging Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House. Greene is also a member of the Freedom Caucus and it seems that she would rather stand with the establishment out of fear of Pelosi and the Democrats.”

  40. I saw something about 15K Iranian protestors being sentenced to death and decided to verify that. The site I landed on, Verify, had an article debunking it so I decided to find out who Verify was….the story is fake but, along the way, I ran into Howard Elias, CEO of TEGNA, a news conglomerate that started Verify, and got to wondering if he might be Marc Elias’ brother…..Marc has ALL of his personal family info hidden, while Howard has some available but not much. Both were Jewish, born in NY, Marc is 53, Howard is 61……hmmmm….coincidink?

Same applies for that oh-so-boring and stupid X22 report that basically says the same damned thing every fricking day, with ZERO proof, and is good for nothing but putting people to sleep – SMDH. Fox reporting mass missiles raining down on Kiev…..Greg Palkot….”It is very quiet in Kiev right now, maybe deadly quiet….we don’t have that confirmed yet….but just a couple of hours ago first, we heard air raid sirens, then we heard blasts, apparently missiles have struck Kiev and all across this country. Confirmed from the Mayor’s office that 3 missiles – Russian missiles – have hit right here in the center of the city, one of them hitting a residential building, just about a 10-minute drive south of where we are right now here at the hotel. Fire fighters and rescuers at the scene, no casualty figures yet. Apparently a part of a mass Russian attack on Ukraine. The word we are hearing is that every region of Ukraine has been struck. Missiles have been seen or detected on radar coming from the east and the south of this country, Cruise missiles fired from bombers over Russia. We are now getting word of emergency black-outs, not just here in Kiev – pretty dark out right now – but in various cities. It could be that Russia is continuing it’s strategy of targeting electrical infrastructure, the power grid here – we have confirmation of that from the Mayors of 2 different cities in this country. The reason behind this attack? Well, the office of President Zelensky offered one reason – he said it’s a response to the tough words coming from President Zelensky in a video message to the G20 – he demanded that Russia leave ALL parts of Ukraine and he demanded that the borders of Ukraine are restored……right now, air raid sirens still in place, not allowed to move around, but not seeing any missiles.”
