As I’ve previously mentioned I worked in a factory for most of my young adult life. It was close to my parents’ home, and because we were paid piece rate, if you were good and fast, you were rewarded with all kinds of opportunities to learn different jobs and work with different people. In the overlock department, I met Maria. She was a friendly, recently married, young Portuguese woman. Her English was excellent and she often translated for the many older Portuguese women who worked there. I worked alongside her while she hemmed sleeves and I ran the binding machine.

One night, I had the strangest dream about Maria and I walking in the woods. There were trees and grass and I was holding the hand of a young boy—and so was she. As we walked, I realized it wasn’t woods, but a cemetery. That was the entirety of the dream. At work the next day I told her about the dream. She said I was weird, we laughed and forgot about it. Two years had passed and Maria and I remained friends. I helped throw her baby shower at work when she got pregnant. Within two years after that, I was also married and had a son—just like Maria.

Life went on pretty much as usual for a while at the factory. We sewed, filled orders, pretty much routine stuff. Then one day disaster struck my life—my estranged husband died. His parents had him cremated, refused to pick up his ashes and didn’t even tell me about it for several days. We had no services for him. We simply moved on. The following year I began evening classes at a local college in preparation for making a better life for my son and I.
And then one Tuesday morning, the Portuguese ladies were all upset when we arrived. Several of the husbands of the ladies all worked together at the same construction company laying pipe. There’d been an accident—a cave in—and 2 men had died. Maria’s husband was lost.
Maria didn’t come back to work for 2 weeks, but I remember the morning that she did. She came into the overlock room and I saw her look around till she saw me. She marched right up to me. “How did you know?” she screamed at me. I took a step back, honestly not remembering the dream till that moment. The cemetery…the 2 little boys…and us.
Perhaps dreams are connected to our souls, and because we are asleep, to our unconscious minds and our spirits. Many people have related dreams that were warnings, encouragement, healing, release, and prophetic. Some of those were repeated over and over. I wonder if those prophetic dreams were GOD’s merciful preparation for things to come.
Speaking of spooky….as one of my favorite weather guys, Conservative Christian (and climate change denier) Big Joe Bastardi predicted, the Ghost of Ian is still kicking up a storm and may form another eye zone along the Mid-North coastal States and continue haunting the area on through tomorrow.
May the clouds be kind and friendly to everyone today.

we’re talking about rearranging the deck furniture a little. right now there is enough of a gap between the chair and table for him to squeeze his chubby body in between. we’re gonna close that gap–and position the chairs flatter against the house so he can’t squeeze back there either.

INTERESTING:
“The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has announced they are developing an AI tool to unmask anonymous writers.”
A press release on Tuesday from the ODNI revealed that the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), their research and development arm, is starting work on the Human Interpretable Attribution of Text Using Underlying Structure program – HIATUS for short.
“Humans and machines produce vast amounts of text content every day,” with “text containing linguistic features that can reveal author identity,” a document from IARPA notes. The HIATUS tool would therefore use AI to identify anonymous writers via features such as “word choice, sentence phrasing [and] organization of information.”

see if desantis has the balls to nip this in the bud…shynese company with military ties purchases acreage in FLA for monkey breeding and quarantine facility which they were told the area was not zoned for…they bought it anyway and want to have it rezoned…
FTA
A Chinese biotech outsourcing company (CXO) with military ties recently purchased a large piece of land in Florida to build a monkey breeding and quarantine facility.
Florida newspaper Citrus County Chronicle reported on Sept. 22 that JOINN Laboratories, a Chinese CXO pharmaceutical company, purchased a 1,400-acre parcel of land in Levy County in July for $5.5 million to build the facility for primates, mostly experimental monkeys.
However, the site is designated as forestry or rural residential zoning, while Levy County only allows research laboratories in its industrial zone. Stacey Hectus, the county’s planning and zoning director, said that JOINN had been told the site was not suitable for its intended use before the purchase.
“They asked to rezone the property but I stated that a request such as that would not be looked upon favorably by staff because of compatibility and spot-zoning,” Hectus told Citrus County Chronicle. Moreover, because the land was more than 50 acres, the rezoning application needs to be reviewed by the state.

Sliding down before reading back….holy cow, Pat!!! What an extraordinary experience!!! And only now do I “get” why you are so much into sewing and such….!!!! That is the kind of almost “out of body” experience I’ve heard other people tell about and I’ve never really experienced one myself….except for one odd, yes, dream….
I was 15 or 16 and still a virgin…and yet I had a dream that I was married (no idea who the man was), got pregnant, with a wonderful comfortable pregnancy, and had a relatively normal, easy birth. Bear in mind, I basically knew NOTHING at that point except the bare mechanics. Yet, in 1971, when I had my son? It was EXACTLY the way it went in the dream!!!! Even down to the position I slept in at night!!! I didn’t even realize it until years later. Very weird!!!
Still comfortable temp-wise – 57 at the moment – and rain, rain and more rain! Been raining off-and-on all night, thankfully – a nice, soaking rain. High within 2 days is predicted to be in the 60’s with a likely frost coming by the week-end. Hello, Fall!

EXCERPTS: “Director Andrew Dominik is receiving hate mail from Planned Parenthood over his depiction of abortion in the Marilyn Monroe film he made, which debuted on Netflix last week. The abortion giant vehemently objects to the humanizing of a human fetus. Ana De Armas, in a powerful depiction of the iconic actress, plays the elation, confusion, regret, and torment perfectly.
————–
Norma Jeane Mortenson (aka Marilyn Monroe) never had an abortion. She had miscarriages, but no abortions. Dominik had more points to make about the long-term regret of abortion, though, so he didn’t stop at one fictitious Monroe abortion. Later in the movie, she becomes pregnant again, with President Kennedy’s baby.
It is gut-wrenching when the fictional Monroe is forced to abort this baby, too. It sends her spiraling. The unbearable pain of losing her children is on her mind as she decides to commit suicide.
Planned Parenthood works hand-in-glove with Hollywood, making sure every movie promotes the right pro-abortion message. Amazingly, they missed this one. A small, accidental victory for pro-lifers. The abortion lobby must really be mad at themselves for not catching this before the movie got out. An article in The Hollywood Reporter, “Planned Parenthood: ‘Blonde’ Is ‘Anti-Abortion Propaganda’”, details that regret and the resulting outrage.
“As film and TV shapes many people’s understanding of sexual and reproductive health, it’s critical these depictions accurately portray women’s real decisions and experiences,” Caren Spruch, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s national director of arts and entertainment engagement, told The Hollywood Reporter.
The last thing Spruch seems to want is an accurate portrayal of abortion and how it affects women for the rest of their lives, the debilitating guilt, regret and despair many experience. Spruch continued, undaunted with such concerns. “While abortion is safe, essential health care, anti-abortion zealots have long contributed to abortion stigma by using medically inaccurate descriptions of fetuses and pregnancy.”
One assumes Spruch believes ultrasounds to be inaccurate. And we are to believe that this is the party of science. She went on to mock the director: “Andrew Dominik’s new film, ‘Blonde,’ bolsters their message with a CGI-talking fetus, depicted to look like a fully formed baby.”
Depicting a baby as a baby and a woman as someone who grows attached to the thing growing in her body is so very outrageous, isn’t it?! The death cult of the Left thinks so, anyway. Still, people passionate about life have a different view.”

Entire Article @ BB: “On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” Iranian journalist and activist Masih Alinejad said that liberals in the West tell her that if she talks about how women are treated in the Middle East, “you’re going to cause Islamophobia.” But “my fear and the fear of millions of Iranian women” is rational because she was told growing up in Iran that “if you show your hair, you’re going to go to jail. You will receive lashes. You will get killed like Mahsa Amini.” She also criticized the Combating International Islamophobia Act passed by Democrats by stating that it’s those who beat and kill women and those who leave Islam that create the phobia, not those who speak out against it.
Host Bill Maher asked, “Why are liberals so moronic about the problem?”
Alinejad responded, “[F]or years and years, we have been warning them about the dangers of morality police. You know why? Because most of them speak perfect English and they have — who actually talk about Islam and Islamic countries. They never go and live under Sharia laws, but they don’t even let us talk about our own experience. I grew up in a country where I was told that if you show your hair, you’re going to go to jail. You will receive lashes. You will get killed like Mahsa Amini. But here, they tell me that if you talk about this, you’re going to cause Islamophobia. Phobia is irrational, but believe me, my fear and the fear of millions of Iranian women and [women in] Afghanistan is rational.”
She later stated, “I invite them all to go and live under Sharia laws in Iran and Afghanistan, they would say no. They always, always try to downplay our cause, but they don’t even dare to live only one day wearing the burqa or hijab. Some of them, actually, I challenged Ilhan Omar. … She’s coming now with legislation gathering information around the world [about] who causes Islamophobia. I was like, oh my God, even here in America now someone monitoring us that we’re going to cause Islamophobia? Those who [lash] us, those who kill us, those who hang us, those who — if we say that I don’t want to be a Muslim anymore, they’re going kill you. Those actually create phobia, of course, not me, if there is phobia.”

Entire Article @ FreeBeacon: “What happened: Chasten Buttigieg, husband of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, joined KNP Communications as a senior consultant.
Why it matters: KNP Communications has close ties to the Democratic Party. In the press release announcing the hire, which declines to mention Chasten’s prominent husband, the firm boasted that it has “helped elect Democratic candidates to office at the national, state, and local level since 2006.”
By the numbers: KNP Communications has received almost $850,000 from Democratic campaigns and committees since 2009, including $89,000 in the 2021-2022 election cycle.
Be smart: The firm, which does not publicly disclose its clients, claims to work with members of Congress, state and local politicians, presidential candidates, corporate executives, charitable foundations, activist groups, university presidents, media pundits, and celebrities. Chasten’s new role could raise conflict of interest concerns, given his husband’s position in the Biden administration.
• KNP Communications did not immediately return a request for comment on whether Chasten would be barred from working with organizations that receive federal funding, for example, or face any restrictions in terms of the clients he is allowed to represent.
What they’re saying: Matthew Kohut, a managing partner at KNP Communications, wrote in 2021 that the United States “is at war with a toxic ideology that has taken root among more than a third of the population.” According to Kohut’s estimation, more than 86 million American adults are afflicted with this ideology, which is predicated on “white supremacy,” “xenophobia,” and “misogyny.” Americans must “overcome” this toxic ideology, he argued, in the same way Germany overcame its “Nazi past.”
Two words: Influence peddling.
The big picture: Chasten is a middle-school drama teacher and theater artist who parlayed his husband’s failed campaign in the 2020 Democratic primary into a book deal and a Harvard fellowship.
• The Washington Post described Chasten’s memoir, I Have Something to Tell You, as a “particularly tone-deaf, if not worse” assessment of his husband’s campaign, which was plagued by racial unrest in South Bend, Ind., where Pete served as mayor from 2012 to 2020.
• He’s about as qualified to be a senior communications consultant as Chelsea Clinton was to be a special correspondent for NBC News, where she earned an annual salary of $600,000.
The bigger picture: Despite failing to win a statistically significant percentage of black voters in the primary, Pete is still widely considered (without evidence) to be a rising star in Democratic politics.
• Pete’s name has even been floated as a possible replacement for President Joe Biden atop the Democratic ticket in 2024.
• Biden, who recently attempted to communicate with a dead congresswoman, continues to validate his many critics who argue he is not mentally fit to serve as president.
• Hiring Chasten is a fun way for a Democratic consulting firm to curry favor with a politician who seems incapable of not running for president. Those national campaigns raise tons of money to spend on consultants.
The even bigger picture: The announcement of Chasten’s new gig comes a few days after the State Department tapped Monica Medina, wife of White House chief of staff Ron Klain, to serve as U.S. special envoy to the plant and animal kingdoms.
Go deeper: Pete Buttigieg will never be president. Even former president Barack Obama thinks he’s too short.”

Entire Article @ FB (SATIRE):
Journalists (and other Democrats) are pouncing and seizing on the leaked excerpts from Confidence Man, the forthcoming book about former president Donald Trump by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman. The book doesn’t come out until Tuesday, but you can read all about it in articles like this one from New York magazine: “Bonkers Revelations From Maggie Haberman’s Trump Book, Ranked.”
Trump’s enemies couldn’t be happier. It goes without saying that many of them suffered irreversible brain damage between 2015-2020. These days the only thing that brings them any comfort is reading new articles about Donald Trump, getting worked up about it, and lashing out on social media. They need those book excerpts the way Hunter Biden needs a smoldering crack pipe and a caravan of Russian hookers.
Alas, they probably aren’t going to like the following excerpts from Confidence Man, which were exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon from a source close to the subject of the book. They portray Trump in a remarkably different light than the supposedly “bonkers revelations” leaked to mainstream media outlets. Here are three of the most compelling passages from Haberman’s reporting that you won’t find anywhere else:
1) The plot
The team of medical experts watched in awe as the White House physician instructed Trump to repeat the list of words in order. “Person, woman, man, camera, TV,” the president said, his voice oozing with charisma. Trump would boast to aides about the “awkward silence” in the examination room as the brain doctors struggled to comprehend what they’d just witnessed.
Unbeknownst to Trump, that now-infamous cognitive test would prompt a series of secret meetings between academic experts and senior intelligence officials to determine the course of America’s future. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” one leading cognitive scientist said in an encrypted group text to high-level operatives. “It’s the highest score I’ve ever observed in my career. BY FAR. I didn’t think it was possible to be that smart, but science never lies. Let’s meet tomorrow to discuss.”
Experts were flown in from around the world. One of America’s most respected historians, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal, described telling the group—which called itself “Project Zeus”—that Trump had already amassed enough accomplishments during his first term to go down in history as one of the most successful (and most unfairly treated) leaders in the country’s history. “Except for Lincoln,” the historian recalled. “Maybe.”
Project Zeus ultimately arrived at a consensus: Trump’s preternatural intelligence was a clear and present danger to the country. He must not be allowed to win reelection in 2020. They hatched a plan to rig the presidential contest in favor of Joe Biden, whom they viewed as a malleable simpleton whose rapidly deteriorating health would make him easy to control. “We stole the election, plain and simple,” said a former FBI official with knowledge of the anti-Trump conspiracy.
2) A perfect love
The First Lady’s public persona—reserved and soft-spoken supermodel—was just an act. Trump’s aides in the White House often went out of their way to avoid Melania, who had a habit of cornering people to boast in great detail about her husband’s prowess in the bedroom. On at least one occasion, a group of junior staffers hid for nearly half an hour in the White House freezer, huddling together for warmth, to spare themselves another conversation about the commander in chief’s unprecedented capacity for passionate lovemaking.
“I thought I was going to lose a foot to frostbite,” one aide said of the incident, which occurred around the time of Trump’s first impeachment trial in December 2019. Multiple aides and allies confirmed that Melania was especially eager to discuss the president’s notorious phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. “She’d ask you how your day was, and then immediately start talking about the call and how she insisted on playing it in the bedroom to set the mood,” another former White House aide recalled. “She’d say: ‘It really is perfect, like my Donald.’ TMI, you know?”
3) The truth will set you free
Days after the 2020 election, which Trump had come to suspect had been rigged by a secret cabal of deep-state operatives, an envelope appeared on the Resolute desk. The president noticed it one day while drinking a Diet Coke and thinking about all the documents he wanted to declassify. Inside was a piece of paper certifying the birth of “Barack Hussein Obama II” at Mombassa Hospital in Kenya on August 4, 1961.
Trump convened a meeting with senior intelligence officials, who were able to verify the document’s authenticity with “100 percent certainty,” according to three high-ranking operatives with knowledge of the situation. The officials turned to the president, eager to know what he planned to do next. Trump, who has never shared this information with anyone, sighed thoughtfully as he considered the implications of this bombshell. “You know what?” he said, according to multiple sources in the room. “Let’s just pretend this never happened. It wouldn’t be good for the country. We’re too divided and the temperature’s too high, okay? I was right all along, and that’s enough for me. Burn it.”
So they did.”

OK, with my love for words….this kind of thing fascinates me – the origin(s) of our words today! H/T Duchess
“The ancient Greeks spoke of lemma as representing a logical premise, a matter of fact. This was in contrast to a dilemma or “double premise” where one was faced with an either-or choice. The Romans further developed this philosophy by referring to the “double premise” as referring to the argumentum cornutum, the “horned argument”, where by answering one argument an individual is impaled by the logic of the second. There lie the ancient roots of the modern idiom “horns of dilemma”.

They were moving him to another hospital to a basic, regular room to a “keep him comfortable” kind of thing. He’s caught in the OCARE Death Panel.

so Houck’s attorney sent an email in June saying he would accept the subpoena on behalf of his client and he would turn himself in…3 months later US Attorney responded–we arrested Houck this morning
FTA
Amid Americans’ growing distrust of the FBI, the agency further damaged its reputation when, not quite two weeks ago, some 15 police vehicles and about 20 law enforcement officers, including many with ballistic shields, long guns, and a battering ram at the ready, descended on Houck’s home. While the FBI disputed the precise number of agents who swarmed Houck’s property and stressed that the officers brandishing the long guns and carrying ballistic shields were not a “SWAT Team” or “SWAT operators,” the FBI’s overwhelming show of force to arrest the father of seven for allegedly violating the FACE Act brought swift condemnation.
The scandal intensified after a dozen Republican senators revealed in a letter sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray that Houck’s attorney, Thomas More Society lawyer Matt Heffron, had informed the Assistant U.S. Attorney Anita Eve that he would accept the summons on Houck’s behalf and that Houck would appear voluntarily. A copy of the email exchange between Heffron and Eve obtained Monday by The Federalist proves even more damning than the senators’ letter to Wray suggests, for two reasons.
First, Heffron’s email to Eve, in which he noted he would “accept a summons on my client’s behalf, rather put Mr. Houck and his family through needless disruption,” was dated June 9, 2022, but Eve’s sole response to that email came on Sept. 23, 2022 — when Eve wrote Heffron to inform him that “this morning, [Houck] was taken into custody by FBI agents and is being transported to the Philadelphia FBI office for processing.” So the first response Houck’s attorney received from the U.S. attorney’s office, following two phone calls and an email, came more than three months later to advise him that his client had already been arrested.

See, it’s this kind of blatant behavior that makes me doubt we are going to be saved from the worst…..it’s awfully hard to be optimistic with these kinds of actions!

Oh, I have no doubt it will go away eventually, just like that couple who pulled weapons on their own property to protect themselves from BLM. But it’s going to cost them an arm and a leg and their name will be bandied about for how long now???? And they will go thru months/years of BS until it finally works it’s way thru the court system.

this man is bad news…

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. and Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman last year cast the lone vote in a failed bid to free a man convicted of murdering a 17-year-old.
Alexis Rodriguez is serving a life sentence in Dallas after he was one of five suspects convicted of first-degree murder in the 1989 killing of Sean Daily, a high school junior and the son of a Philadelphia police officer.
Rodriguez, then 18, and the others were accused of beating Daily with a baseball bat before fatally shooting him in the back in a gang-related, revenge motivated attack. The killing sparked racial unrest in Philadelphia at the time, because the victim was White while the suspects were majority Hispanic.
The Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, which Fetterman chairs, held a public hearing for Rodriguez on Dec. 1, 2021, and Fetterman cast the lone vote in favor of commuting the convicted murderer’s sentence.

so now it’s BOXES OF PRIVILEGED DOCUMENTS the fib took…

The Washington Examiner said the DOJ now has admitted FBI operators seized “numerous boxes containing potentially privileged records belonging” to Trump.
“The revelation was contained within a newly unsealed late August filing by the DOJ following a Monday court order from Aileen Cannon, the Florida judge overseeing much of the case. The DOJ filing made a distinction between the case team investigating Trump and the privilege review team filtering out records that might be subject to attorney-client privilege or other privilege claims made by the former president,” the report explained.

How do you expose woke social justice politicians who rip on others for not embracing the idiotic policies they want to impose? You bring the problem to their backyard and suddenly they don’t like their own solutions anymore. We saw this with Martha’s Vineyard. We’ve seen it with “sanctuary cities” across the nation. Now, we’re seeing it with the former Queen of Woke, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The Democrat-Socialist Congresswoman isn’t happy about plans to build a tent city for illegal aliens in her district. According to NY Daily News:
The progressive congresswoman, who’s had a simmering beef with the more moderate-minded mayor for months, offered the rebuke in a brief interview with the Daily News on the steps of City Hall following a press conference with Adams on an unrelated topic.
“I think we can get to a place with a better solution here,” Ocasio-Cortez said when asked about the tent facilities being built in the Bronx’s Orchard Beach parking lot to house upward of 1,000 Latin American migrants.
Ocasio-Cortez said she also ”very much“ sides with ”the sentiment” of Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, who raised a number of concerns about the Orchard Beach site earlier this week, including poor transit access and susceptibility to flooding.
Ocasio-Cortez, who hasn’t previously commented on the tent facility in her 14th Congressional District, said she’s in talks with other lawmakers about “figuring out if there are additional federal resources” that could be allocated to help the city house migrants.
AOC is suddenly concerned about transit access and susceptibility to flooding for illegal aliens. Those problems existed before the illegal aliens got there but she never mentioned them before. Does that mean she doesn’t care about American citizens having transit access and living in an area susceptible to flooding?
No. What it REALLY means is she’s looking for an excuse for why she’s suddenly no longer woke enough to allow voters in her district to see first-hand the results of the open borders policies she embraces. As is invariably the case, the policies radical Democrats adore are only applicable when they don’t have to face the consequences of their decisions.
Even AOC is only woke when a solution to illegal alien problems doesn’t affect her directly or expose her idiocy to her voters.

Entire Article @ RMX:
“Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has doubled down on his Paris fashion show controversy, in which he sported a White Lives Matter t-shirt alongside conservative commentator Candace Owens, by denouncing the Black Lives Matter movement as a “scam.” The Grammy-winning U.S. star enraged left-wing activists and media alike by wearing the t-shirt during a live-streamed presentation of his latest Yeezy fashion line.
Other models in the show also wore shirts sporting the same “White Lives Matter” messaging. Ahead of the show, Ye told the audience: “Everyone here knows that I am the leader … you can’t manage me. This is an unmanageable situation.” On his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Ye defended the move, insisting that “everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. “Now it’s over. You’re welcome,” he added.
The rapper has been accused of appropriating the Black Lives Matter slogan, previously used to protest racial injustice against Black people, but which also helped fuel protests that led to deadly riots in cities across the United States. The organization, which received millions in funding from private donors and large corporations, has also been beset with fraud cases.
The Yeezy fashion show came a day after Ye had made his runway debut as a catwalk model for Balenciaga at the Paris Fashion Week.
It isn’t the first time Ye has sparked outrage among left-wing activists. In 2018, he said that 400 years of Black slavery “sounds like a choice.” He also famously supported Donald Trump and donned a Make America Great Again cap, much to the dismay of the majority of his counterparts in the music industry.”
