The Executive Test

I came across an “Executive Test” that I thought was very telling. The questions are not that difficult and the answers are included.

How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

CORRECT ANSWER: Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe, and close the door.  This question tests whether you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way.

How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

WRONG ANSWER: Open the refrigerator, put in the elephant, and close the door.

CORRECT ANSWER: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant, and close the door.  This tests your ability to think through the repercussions of your actions.

The Lion King is hosting an animal conference.  All the animals attend but one. Which animal does not attend?

CORRECT ANSWER:  The elephant. The elephant is still in the refrigerator.  This tests your memory.

There is a river you must cross, but it is inhabited by crocodiles. How do you manage to cross it?

CORRECT ANSWER: You swim across.  All the crocodiles are attending the animal conference.  This tests whether you learn quickly from your mistakes.

According to Anderson Consulting Worldwide, around 90% of the executives they tested got all the questions wrong.  But many preschoolers got several correct answers.  Anderson says this conclusively disproves the theory that most executives have the brains of a four-year old.

The political Hacks and Thugs had no right under the Presidential Records Act to storm Mar-a-Lago and steal everything in sight, including Passports and privileged documents. They even broke into my safe with a safecracker – Can you believe? This Act was created for a very good reason, and it works. We are right now living in a Lawless Country, that just so happens to be, also, a Failing Nation

  6. no plan in place for the debt relief–no speial website set up just for this…not KNOWING the income of those borrowers–which will lead to MASSIVE FRAUD (see cv relief check fraud) ultra maggot creates chaos again
    FTA
What we’re watching: StudentAid.gov, the government’s financial aid website, experienced significant delays Wednesday and Thursday after it was inundated with people seeking information on loan forgiveness.

The White House doesn’t know exactly how many eligible borrowers will actually end up applying for loan forgiveness — or how much it will cost.
The Education Department hasn’t yet released the website where people can apply for loan forgiveness by attesting that they meet the income requirement — and it’s still unclear when that will be released, a person familiar with the matter tells Axios.

More importantly: When will borrowers actually see the relief?

“That’s the million-dollar question,” Education Secretary Miguel Cardona told NPR Wednesday.
“It’s really important that folks know that we’re also improving a system that was broken and that was antiquated,” he added

    1. WOW!

Mom would have loved this photo …

She was raised in the orphanage after her Father died when she was 9 … a really free spirit was she, and she would swing high on the playground, trying to get over the wall surrounding the campus. She told me that story often. She’s free now.

Thanks for the memory Pat … and Good Morning!

      1. “A fee of $1.50 applies to each new or remanufactured lead-acid battery designed for use in a motor vehicle (on-road or off-road), vessel, or aircraft sold at retail. The fee applies whether the battery is sold separately or as a component part of a vehicle, vessel, or aircraft. The fee does not apply to sales for resale.

The fee is imposed upon the dealer selling a new or remanufactured lead-acid battery, not the purchaser. Therefore, the fee applies even when a dealer makes a retail sale of a new or remanufactured lead-acid battery to a governmental entity or an organization that holds a Florida Consumer’s Certificate of Exemption.”

        Reference: Section 403.7185, Florida Statutes
        —————
Lead acid batteries are the leading component for the electric car industry today. The reason is clear: their ability to provide the high surge currents needed for an automobile’s starter motor makes them a reliable power source at an affordable cost. For the energy required to run an electric car, the typical car normally has 8-12 kWh lead acid batteries installed, so price is a significant consideration. Their ease of installation makes them that much more attractive as a power source. The disadvantage is their short lifespan of only three years, at which point they can no longer be recharged and must be disposed of. Still, this simple technology is cheap and easily manufactured. Lead acid batteries use a high amount of reused materials. Flat or disposed batteries are recycled into new batteries, keeping the carbon footprint low on the lead acid used in the next batch of batteries and giving about 15 kg CO2 with the normal l kWh lead acid battery.

  9. Entire Article @ WND: “A state mandate for insurance plans in California, including those sold to churches, to cover elective abortion has been canceled by a federal judge. The court said that such a mandate is unconstitutional, in a case brought by Foothill Church of Glendora, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and The Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch.

Alliance Defending Freedom lawyers handled the case for the churches, and spokesman Jeremiah Galus explained, “The government can’t force a church or any other religious employer to violate their faith and conscience by participating in funding abortion.”

He continued, “For years, California has unconstitutionally targeted faith-based organizations, so we’re pleased the court has found this mandate unconstitutional and will allow the churches we represent to operate freely according to their religious beliefs.”

The ADF explained that it found emails confirming the California Department of Managed Health Care demanded the coverage for abortion “in response to specific demands from Planned Parenthood. Those demands asked agency officials to implement a ‘fix’ requiring the health plans of religious organizations to include coverage for abortion, regardless of moral or conscientious objections and despite state recognition up to that point that religious groups shouldn’t be subject to such requirements.”

The ruling said, “In sum, the director has not shown ‘[she] lacks other means of achieving [her] desired goal without imposing a substantial burden on the exercise of religion by [plaintiffs].’ The director’s denial of the churches’ request for exceptions to accommodate their religious beliefs, based solely on the fact that those requests did not originate with a plan, was not narrowly tailored to serve a compelling interest.”

The case had been developing for several years, and months ago Jay Smith, pastor of Cedar Park Church in Washington state, wrote in Real Clear Religion about a related fight in his state.

“Imagine, 75 years ago, some British officer lining up a group of young Indian children against a wall in Bombay, handing some bullets to Mahatma Gandhi, and ordering him to load soldiers’ rifles so that they could execute the youngsters. Would you expect Gandhi to go along with that? Why would an officer even give such an order – except to humiliate Gandhi and mock what he stood for?”

He continued, “Perhaps that gives you some idea of how it feels for the people of my congregation, Cedar Park Church, to be ordered by Washington state officials to provide an insurance plan that covers abortions. Directly paying for abortion coverage is as unimaginable to us as putting bullets in a gun we know would be used to end a child’s life. It is antithetical to everything we preach, teach, and believe.”

The ruling noted that the state of California believed that insurance regulators could only grant an exception to the demand to cover abortions to health plans, not those groups that were covered by the plan. But the judge pointed out state law there actually “permits a ‘religious employer’ to ‘request a health care service plan contract without coverage for FDA-approved contraceptive methods that are contrary to [their] religion tenets.'”

And it provides a general permission for state officials to “exempt a plan contract” from various other requirements. The ruling said, the state “now concedes that the existence of a ‘system of individual exemptions’ … subjects her decision not to expand the plan exemption framework to the churches to strict scrutiny.”

As a result, the judge ruled state objections to the exemptions were not substantiated with evidence.”

  10. EXCERPT: “FIRST ON FOX: A California law enforcement association revoked Paul Pelosi’s lifetime membership, saying his conduct during his May DUI arrest “reflected poorly” on the group.

The California Highway Patrol 11-99 (CHP 11-99) Foundation informed Pelosi of his termination in a letter Wednesday, the group said in a statement shared with Fox News Digital. The group requested in the letter that he return all CHP 11-99 membership items that he currently possesses.

“After evaluating the events that [led] to Mr. Pelosi’s arrest and conviction, we are revoking Mr. Pelosi’s lifetime membership with the CHP 11-99 Foundation effective immediately,” the foundation’s board and staff said in a statement Thursday.

“The mere presentation of his 11-99 Foundation identification credentials to law enforcement made it appear that he was presenting them for preferential treatment whether that was the case or not which violates the terms and conditions he agreed to on his membership application,” the organization’s statement continued.

“These actions reflected poorly on the 11-99 Foundation and undermined our important mission,” it added.”

  11. Good grief! WTF, Alabama??!!??

EXCERPT: “Black pastor is set to file a discrimination lawsuit against the police after he was handcuffed for watering his neighbor’s flowers while they were out of town – despite a white woman stepping in and coming to his defense.

Pastor Michael Jennings was arrested in May outside his neighbor’s yard in Childersburg, Alabama, after police received a complaint about a strange man and vehicle on the property. Jennings, who was seen in the clip watering the flowers with a hose, had just returned from Sunday service. He told police his long-term neighbor asked him to look after his shrubbery while he was out of town.

But despite his good intentions and other residents vouching for him, Jennings was taken to jail and later charged with obstruction of government operation. After insisting that he was just calmly gardening in the front yard, police asked Jennings: ‘How do we know that’s the truth?’

The baffled pastor, who lives in the house across the street, responded: ‘I had the water hose in my hand! I was watering the flowers.’ Body camera footage showed three officers from Childersburg Police Department screaming at Jennings as he refused to provide identification – before he was ushered away in handcuffs.

Jennings later learned the person who called 911 knew him but didn’t recognize him when she called in the report. Laughing in disbelief during the encounter, the pastor tells the officers: ‘Y’all racially profiled me.’

An unidentified officer then says: ‘We’re not racially profiling you,’ before Jennings rebukes: ‘Yes, you did.’ The officer continues: ‘No sir, no sir. We’re not about that okay?’ A white resident then intervened and told officers that Jennings lived next door – insisting that he was friends with the homeowner who had left earlier that day. ‘He lives right there,’ the woman told police while pointing at Jennings’ property.

The pastor, from Vision of Abundant Life Ministries in Sylacauga, was arrested and placed in the backseat of the cop car, despite the woman vouching for him. His mobile phone was also taken from him during the arrest.

‘Does he have permission to be watering flowers?’ police asked the woman. To which the neighbor responded: ‘He may because they are friends, and they went out of town today and he may be watering their flowers. It would be completely normal.’

She later added: ‘This is probably my fault.’

  15. global droughts reveal Spanish stongehenge and other oddities

The findings have also spread to Europe, where a drought resulted in more than 20 Nazi ships breaking the water’s surface on the Danube River close to Prahavo, Serbia. Authorities explained that the ships were in Nazi Germany’s Black Sea fleet in 1944 and were intentionally sunk while pulling back from the approaching Soviets. The authorities added that many of the vessels still have bomb devices and ammunition, so shipping in the area could be dangerous.

The dry conditions are not just impacting the West, with China’s Yangtze River revealing Buddhist artifacts that used to be underwater. The statues are considered to be 600 years old. According to China’s state media, authorities believe the pieces were constructed in the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Warnings from previous droughts have also resurfaced in Germany. “Hunger stones” have appeared along the River Rhine and contain initials and dates, according to Reuters. The dates include 1947, 1959, 2003, and 2018.

  16. student debt in DC
    FTA
Student debt forgiveness is personal for the Biden administration. About one in five of the White House aides required to file a financial disclosure, as Bloomberg News previously noted, reported owing student debt. Collectively, those 30 senior White House staffers owe as much as $4.7 million. Those personal finances are not unusual in the nation’s capital.

There is more outstanding student debt in Washington than in any other city in the country. The average debtor in D.C., according to a 2021 breakdown by the small business analyst, AdvisorSmith, owes $54,982 in unpaid student loans. This includes many political staffers at the Department of Education, senior advisors as well as junior aides who moved to that agency from the Biden campaign.

Analysis of financial disclosures by the conservative-leaning American Accountability Foundation found that the political staff at the agency that oversees the student loan program stand to benefit. The outstanding student loan debt balance among 41 education staffers evaluated could amount to between $2.8 and $6.5 million. According to the AAF estimate obtained by RealClearPolitics, the president may have wiped away as much as $512,646 of their debt.
