What Shall We Make Today?

We love pretzels at our house and this recipe takes store bought pretzels and turns them into a flavorful snack. I use 2 full bags of pretzels (I like Snyder’s) which sounds like a lot, but this recipe will keep if stored in an airtight container for a long time!

Baked Pretzels

2 1-lb bags of hard pretzels (broken into bite sized pieces)

1 cup oil (not olive!)

1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix (original)

1/2 tsp lemon pepper

1/2 tsp dill weed

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350*. Mix all the ingredients (except the pretzels) in a small bowl. Put the broken pretzels in a large bowl and pour the seasonings/oil mixture over them. Stir to coat the pretzels. Pour the pretzels onto a baking tray and bake for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and carefully stir the pretzels on the tray. Bake an additional 7 minutes. Remove from the oven. Continue to stir several times as the pretzels cool. Enjoy!

  5. yup–poor, poor illegals…but they all got cell phones—THAT is how the illegal pipeline operates…
    FTA
The network reports up-trail conditions, border crossings, violence, smuggling fees, and especially the availability of free stuff like clothes, food and shelter to those who are still down-trail. The intelligence networks don’t just tell with text. They show. Often with photographs and video of real people from the bus stations, on the buses, and in the shelters with their handouts, checks, documents and new clothes.

This works like any flash mob. It is always the phones that tell and show where the deportation and robbery zones are, so the crowds coming up behind can divert elsewhere. It is always the phones that tell of and show where to find the welcome mats and free giveaways, often exactly where and how to get them.

I know this because I have met and interviewed thousands of US-bound immigrants while they were on the trail to the US border, and at the border who have told me repeatedly of their heavy reliance on the phone network.

I’ve rarely met a supposedly impoverished US-bound migrant without a modern cellphone fully connected to the Internet and social media. There they were again, I noticed, in news photos of immigrants in New York homeless shelters.

They have invited me into their chat groups where policy news and border-crossing openings are openly reported and discussed. They have showed me the selfie content that their friends, neighbors and countrymen created as they documented their good fortune of being freed into America with documents handed to them by Border Patrol. In early June, I was in Del Rio, Texas, watching scores of immigrants fresh from the Rio Grande board charter buses to cities all over America create selfie videos of themselves smiling with thumbs up next to the buses.

  6. let more in, right? the visa program SUCKS–pakistani DOCTOR arrested on terrorism charges
    entire article
A Pakistani doctor formerly employed by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a research coordinator has pleaded guilty to attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, namely ISIS.

Muhammad Masood, 30, a licensed medical doctor in Pakistan, was formerly employed at the clinic in Rochester, Minn., under an H-1B Visa.

Charges say between January 2020 and March 2020, Masood made several statements to others pledging his allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (“ISIS”) and its leader, and expressing his desire to travel to Syria to fight for ISIS.

Masood also expressed his desire to conduct “lone wolf” terrorist attacks in the United States.

On Feb. 21, 2020, Masood purchased a plane ticket from Chicago, Ill., to Amman, Jordan, and from there planned to travel to Syria. On March 16, 2020, Masood’s travel plans changed because Jordan closed its borders to incoming travel due to the coronavirus pandemic. Masood then planned to fly from Minneapolis to Los Angeles to meet up with an individual who he believed would assist him with travel via a cargo ship to deliver him to ISIS territory.

On March 19, 2020, Masood traveled from Rochester to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to board a flight bound for Los Angeles, Calif. Upon arrival at MSP, Masood checked in for his flight and was subsequently arrested by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Masood remains incarcerated in federal custody to await sentencing at a later date.

more adults POSING AS MINORS caught…
    entire article
    S. Border Patrol Agents identified 10 illegal migrant adults who were posing as unaccompanied minors while in custody, the agency announced.

The El Paso sector agents said in one example three of the adults were discovered when they were attempting to use counterfeit documentation. The adults included two women and one man, all in their early 20s, who were part of a group of 13 migrants encountered by agents last week, Customs and Border Protection announced Friday.

Three more adult migrants posing as minors were discovered in a separate incident last week, the agency said. The individuals, whose sexes were not given, were 26, 25 and 18 years of age. They entered as part of a group and agents discovered their true ages after finding discrepancies between their stories and documentation.

The agency said migrants are posing as minors in order to avoid being expelled from the United States.

Amid record illegal immigration numbers this fiscal year, El Paso Sector Border Patrol Agents have detected more than 650 adult migrants posing as minors.

“Transnational Criminal Organizations exploit migrants convincing them to pose as minors in order to be processed as such,” El Paso Sector Border Patrol Chief Gloria I. Chavez said. “Identity fraud is a common tactic used by TCOs to take advantage of migrants who do not know the legal consequences of their actions as they attempt to deceive authorities.”

  9. EXCERPT: “New information provided exclusively to RedState by syndicated radio talk show host Howie Carr shows that Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky is finding multiple ways to benefit from her new position. Walensky, who took over as director with Biden’s inauguration, is married to Loren D. Walensky, a renowned pediatric oncology researcher at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard. In October 2019 Loren Walensky became the scientific co-founder and a member of the Board of Directors of Lytica Therapeutics, “an early-stage biotechnology company working on an innovative platform for developing next-generation antimicrobials.” (LabCentral)

Just four months later, Walensky’s Lytica received a $16.9 million dollar HHS grant to “develop antibacterial peptides with broad activity against multidrug-resistant bacteria.” Only $5.3 million of that money was initially disbursed to Lytica, and the remaining $11.6 million is scheduled to be disbursed upon the achievement of “certain development milestones.” I have previously worked in the world of grant writing and can tell you most agencies will not give grants to organizations that have existed for less than a year and organizations that have no other stream of funding. In this particular case Crunchbase, which monitors funding for corporations and non-profits, shows that the only funding that Lytica has received to date is the $5.3 million allocated from the grant received.

Again, the only funding this new company has received to date – nearly two years after its founding – is the $5.3 million allocated from the HHS grant.

The grant was funded and organized by the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees and administers the Biomedical Advanced and Development Authority (BARDA) program, which is similar to the PREDICT program at the center of Wuhan Institute of Virology gain-of-function research controversy. The Lytica Therapeutics grant was provided through BARDA’s CARB-X program. According to the website:”

  10. Entire Article @ Big League Politics: “Sean Spoonts, a US Navy veteran and the editor-in-chief of the Special Operations Forces Report (SOFREP) website, believes that the United States’ and Ukraine’s goals in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict are contradictory.

“It seems like while Ukraine would like to end the war quickly and decisively defeat Russian forces and drive them out of their country, US policy almost seems designed to prolong the conflict hoping to bring about the collapse of Russia itself, both militarily and economically,” he proclaimed.

“That goes a lot further than [Ukrainian President Volodymr] Zelensky’s goal, which is to simply get Russian armies out of his country and regain lost territories in Donbass, Lugansk and Crimea,” he contended.

Press TV reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed the US government on August 16, 2022 of attempting to extend the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, blamed the US national security state for its efforts to destabilize the Asia-Pacific region, specifically alluding to its plans to turn Taiwan into a flashpoint between China and the Collective West.

“The situation in Ukraine shows that the US is trying to prolong this conflict. And they act in exactly the same way, fueling the potential for conflict in Asia, Africa, and Latin America,” Putin asserted during the Moscow international security conference.

Putin declared that the US government is “using the people of Ukraine as cannon fodder”, while also criticizing the US for continuing to send weapons to Ukraine. “They need conflicts to retain their hegemony,” Putin continued.

Geopolitical commentator Dan Kovalik echoed these sentiments. He stated, “Of course, the US is trying to prolong the war in Ukraine to destabilize the region. The US has been provoking this conflict for eight years in order to draw the Russians into a war which would undermine and potentially destroy Russia.”

These comments aren’t just random forms of speculation on the part of dissident geopolitical analysts. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said at the end of April that the US wants “to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine.”

At the end of the day, the US Deep State wants to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian.”

Entire Article @ SHTFplan: ““Tomato flu” was first identified in India on May 6 of this year and has so far infected 82 children, all under the age of 5. The ruling class has described it as “very contagious.”

According to a study by the Lancet Respiratory Medicine Journal, a further 26 kids up to the age of 10 are suspected of having cases of tomato flu. This virus was named for the red blisters that appear on the skin after infection. The blisters are coupled with other symptoms such as fever and joint pain. In addition to the virus being very contagious, it seems similar to hand, foot, and mouth disease. Other reported symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and body aches.

“Just as we are dealing with the probable emergence of fourth wave of COVID-19, a new virus known as tomato flu, or tomato fever, has emerged in India in the state of Kerala in children younger than 5 years,” the Lancet reported. “The rare viral infection is in an endemic state and is considered non-life-threatening; however, because of the dreadful experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, vigilant management is desirable to prevent further outbreaks.”

“Children are at increased risk of exposure to tomato flu as viral infections are common in this age group and spread is likely to be through close contact,” Lancet’s report added. “Given the similarities to hand, foot, and mouth disease, if the outbreak of tomato flu in children is not controlled and prevented, transmission might lead to serious consequences by spreading in adults as well,” the study added.

Those who contract the virus are placed in isolation for 5 to 7 days, according to a report by The New York Post.

Writing in The Lancet, medics said: “Children are at increased risk of exposure to tomato flu as viral infections are common in this age group and spread is likely to be through close contact. Young children are also prone to this infection through use of nappies, touching unclean surfaces, as well as putting things directly into the mouth.”

  12. From Infowars: “WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Whether or not former President Donald Trump is indicted over what federal agents found during a search of his home will come down to perception management rather than facts because the US justice system has been politicized, former FBI Principal Legal Counsel Coleen Rowley told Sputnik.

“The task of predicting a Department of Justice indictment is above my paygrade, especially given the continuing politicization and disintegration of this judicial institution,” Rowley, a Time magazine whistleblower of the year and former legal counsel to the FBI Director, said. “‘Making one’s own reality’ perception management has triumphed, with facts no longer mattering.”

This has been proven, she added, by the Russiagate hoax, alleged WMDs in Iraq, and many other powerful “propaganda sales jobs” of recent history.

“Which of the power-mongering theories of the two competing sides’ narratives will ultimately succeed requires a crystal ball that I just don’t have. But neither does… anyone else,” she said. “All that one can wisely say is plenty of time does exist before the next presidential election for further political shenanigans, the likes of which can and will almost certainly rock the United States.”

The FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida on August 8 and seized nearly a dozen sets of documents, some marked “Top Secret,” according to the disclosed search warrant receipt. Trump condemned the raid, claimed to have declassified all materials present at his residence, and called for the release of the unredacted version of the probable cause affidavit that justified the search.

During a hearing on Thursday, Justice Department national security lawyer Jay Bratt argued that recent threats against the FBI and its agents following the raid – including a recent standoff at a Cincinnati field office – would make it necessary to redact information from the affidavit. US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart then ordered the Justice Department to file under seal the proposed affidavit redactions and rationale by August 25.

Last week, The Washington Post, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that classified documents relating to nuclear weapons were among the material the FBI sought in the search of Trump’s home. The former president denied the claim.

On Thursday, Rasmussen Reports published poll results showing that the raid has damaged the FBI’s standing with Republican and independent voters. Only 30% of Republicans now hold a favorable view of the FBI, down from 38% in December. Nearly half of Republican voters now view the bureau “very unfavorably,” according to the survey.”

…and if an acceptable receipt can be printed for every sale, one can also be printed for every ballot.

Live Voter + Paper ballot with Serial Number + Receipt provides a far better chance to verify voting.

Also, many 3rd world nations use finger prints and it woild be easy to also add a photo to the ballot and receipt. Yes, this adds complexity but a complexity forced by criminals.

One would want to believe the three letter food agencies are there to protect us, but the facts remain, they are the fox guarding the hen house.

Our food source has been contaminated not only during the manufacturing process but genetically modified at worst with an estimated array of 70,000 food additives, preservatives, pesticides, chemicals, artificial ingredients, molds, fungus, insects, rodents, and other foreign matter which by the way enters our bloodstream. The only way to protect our food is if we grow or hunt it ourselves.

We all know that saying, “Control the food supply, and you control the masses,” although it may seem too incredible to fathom, it’s true. Humanity has been witness to the numerous political attacks against our food supply not only since the last couple of years of the Covid-bandit striking humanity but indefinitely.

When I first brought it home and re-potted it:

Now it already has two blooms starting! The oval shape in the center at the top is the bloom – you can’t see the other one in the pic since it’s so small right now; the plant needs sun but I also have to protect the roots to keep them cool – hence, the white cotton dishcloth protecting the roots from the sun:

  16. Entire Article @ Summit News: “Not doing their Bond villain reputation status any favors, the World Economic Forum published an article suggesting it would be a “solid, rational” move for children to be implanted with microchips. Yes, really. The idea is promoted in a blog post on the Davos elite’s website which discusses the future of augmented reality and an “augmented society.”

“As scary as chip implants may sound, they form part of a natural evolution that wearables once underwent. Hearing aids or glasses no longer carry a stigma,” the article argues, perhaps forgetting that glasses and hearing aids aren’t embedded inside the body, nor can they be controlled by outside forces.

“They are accessories and are even considered a fashion item. Likewise, implants will evolve into a commodity,” writes scientist Kathleen Philips, suggesting that mainstream culture and influencers will be tapped to promote implantable chips as a trendy status symbol.

The article pushes the notion that augmented humans are inevitable and that global elites need to establish a power monopoly over the technology in order to “ethically” regulate it. The technology is in need of “the right support, vision, and audacity,” which of course will be provided by your technocratic overlords, the same people who are desperately trying to censor the Internet so they can’t be criticized.

“The augmenting technology will help in all stages of life: children in a learning environment, professionals at work and ambitious senior citizens. There are many possibilities,” writes Philips. “Should you implant a tracking chip in your child?” asks the scientist, adding, “There are solid, rational reasons for it, like safety.”

As we previously highlighted, World Economic Forum chief Klaus Schwab wrote in his book ‘The Great Reset’ that the fourth industrial revolution would “lead to a fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity,” which he clarifies is implantable microchips that can read your thoughts.

During this year’s Davos meeting of global elitists, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla explained to Schwab how soon there would be “ingestible pills” – a pill with a tiny microchip chip that would send a wireless signal to relevant authorities when the pharmaceutical has been consumed.

“Imagine the compliance,” said Bourla. “It wasn’t that long ago that those speculating on a future where this is happening would get dismissed as conspiracy theorists, but now the world elites’ most vocal outlet is predicting that chip implants will eventually become just a commodity,” writes Didi Rankovic.

As we previously reported, an Australian primary school predicted “microchips in student’s brains” within 10 years before subsequently deleting the newsletter that contained the creepy prophecy.”

  17. EXCERPT: “STORY AT-A-GLANCE

    – August 15, 2022, the U.K. became the first country to approve Moderna’s new bivalent COVID booster — Spikevax bivalent — which contains mRNA that codes for the original Wuhan strain spike protein and the Omicron BA.1 subvariant

    – The approval of the new booster comes on the heels of complaints about lack of demand for the shots. Moderna recently threw away 30 million doses of its original COVID jab, as nobody wanted them, and the U.S., has tossed 82.1 million COVID jab doses in the trash for the same reason

    – The Spikevax bivalent shot is already out of date, as both strains included are no longer in circulation anywhere in the world

    – In the U.S., infections are currently caused by the BA.4, BA.5 and BA.2.12.1 variants of Omicron. In Europe, Omicron BA.2, BA.4 and BA.5 are the current “variants of concern.” BA.1 is on the list of “de-escalated variants,” meaning it’s of no concern either because it’s either not in circulation, or because it doesn’t cause severe illness

    – Coronaviruses mutate very rapidly, and when you vaccinate against a rapidly mutating virus, you encourage it to mutate even faster, and to develop immune-evading properties. This is what we’ve been witnessing since the beginning of the COVID jab campaign, and outdated, leaky bivalent boosters may worsen the situation further.”
    —————-
In a June 2022 interview with British radio presenter Maajid Nawaz, Michael Yeadon, Ph.D., a former vice-president and chief scientific adviser for Pfizer and founder/CEO of the biotech company Ziarco (now owned by Novartis), explained why he believes the COVID jabs were intentionally made to be harmful and to prolong the pandemic.

For starters, it’s been known for more than 10 years that spike protein causes adverse effects in humans,26 so this could not be a design error. It must have been intentional.

‘By choosing the spike protein on which to base COVID-19 shots, scientists picked a protein that a) was known to be toxic to humans and b) produced an inferior immune response (compared to other parts of the virus). On top of that, spike protein mutates rapidly, which destroys any protection the shot provides shortly after it’s given.’

As Yeadon explained, when making a vaccine, you have to be very careful about which part of the virus you use, as certain parts are more toxic and some provoke better immune responses than others. “What you would do is ask, ‘What’s the toxicity of the bit I’m going to give a person?’” he said.

Seeing how scientists have known for at least a decade that spike protein from related viruses causes blood clots through at least two different mechanism, the choice to use mRNA that programs your cells to make spike protein raised a warning flag from the start.”

  18. EXCERPT: “Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was asked yesterday about Republican prospects for the November elections. “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different, they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell replied.

The media and others on the left were of course thrilled with the Republican leader’s “notable quotable” disparagement of Republican candidates and the voters who chose them, which somehow came off even worse on video.

What was McConnell thinking? What in the world was he thinking?

Unnecessarily ceding an incredibly winnable Senate to Democrats three months before an election is a great example of the leadership choices that have led McConnell to be the least popular national politician in the country, according to the RealClearPolitics average. And it’s a good example of why so many Republicans — grateful as they may be for his successes — think it’s time for new leadership.

Still, for the time being, McConnell is the top elected Republican, and he has an obligation to effectively lead the Republican team, respecting the voters and who they have chosen.

In this case, having a nearly opposite response about Republican prospects rather than the pouty and clinical one McConnell offered would have been strategically and politically wise. It also would have matched much more with the reality of the political environment.”

  19. Entire Article @ The Federalist: “Three days after the FBI descended on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, Attorney General Merrick Garland gave a press conference lasting less than four minutes about the raid. As he was speaking, he excoriated anyone who questions the motives and integrity of the FBI. His intent was clear: You are not allowed to criticize the FBI and its obvious double standards. Any criticism of the institution will be viewed as a “threat to democracy.” In true Orwellian fashion, the corporate media began parroting the same talking points.

The ruling elite is blinded by their groupthink mentality. The raid on a former president was the culmination of two decades of corruption within the big government apparatus where abuses of power have become increasingly brazen. The loss of trust in the agencies is not the result of conspiracy theories, social media, or millions of Americans simply becoming anti-government. It is a direct consequence of their actions.

The American people believed our institutions were operating in good faith and they took a laissez-faire approach for far too long, even as the evidence of an abusive bureaucracy was mounting. Consider the following:

In 2007, programs that were developed to target terrorists quickly morphed into domestic spying programs. The NSA began capturing and monitoring Americans’ electronic communications and metadata through the PRISM program. Both John Brennan and James Clapper denied the government was monitoring American citizens and openly lied to Congress. They were never charged with perjury, and not a single person who authorized this program was ever held accountable for this direct assault on the Fourth Amendment.

Journalists have also been routinely monitored by federal agencies making a mockery of the First Amendment. Ironically, many within the media now carry water for the institutions and serve as their private PR firms.

In 2012, then-Attorney General Eric Holder refused to provide information to Congress on the government’s ill-thought-out “Fast and Furious” program. He was held in contempt of Congress, and there are indications that he may have committed perjury when he denied knowing about the program. Lucky for him, he never received the Steve Bannon treatment.

In 2013, the IRS admitted to targeting conservative groups. Lois Lerner deemed that these conservative and Tea Party groups were guilty of having the wrong political opinion. For her actions, Lois Lerner refused to answer questions, pleading the fifth, and was found in contempt of Congress by the House of Representatives, but the Justice Department declined to prosecute her on contempt charges. Instead, she was allowed to retire, collect her pension, and never be held accountable.

In 2014, it was revealed that John Brennan’s CIA was monitoring sitting members of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee. Neither Brennan nor anyone else involved in the program was ever held accountable.

In 2015, Hillary Clinton was subpoenaed to preserve her home-brewed email server. Following the subpoena, her email management company Platte River Network wiped the server clean, and employees sent an email with the subject line stating, “Hillary cover-up operation work ticket archive cleanup.”

In 2016, as the FBI was investigating the server, multiple people in the Hillary Clinton orbit were granted immunity. Cheryl Mills, who was a witness in the investigation, was allowed to claim attorney-client privilege. Compare that to the FBI raids on Trump’s lawyers where long-standing norms of attorney-client privilege were thrown out the window.

Hillary Clinton’s top aide told the FBI that she wasn’t aware of the private server, yet she had her own email account on it. We also know that then-FBI Director James Comey already had a draft letter prepared to exonerate Clinton even before she was interviewed. Then, shortly before the 2016 election, it was revealed that Clinton’s emails were found on a laptop shared by Abedin and her husband, disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner. Not a single person was ever held accountable for the lies, the deceit, and the illegal server.

As if spying on U.S. senators and turning a blind eye to Clinton’s malfeasance wasn’t bad enough, in 2016, the FBI began its infamous Crossfire Hurricane operation where FBI agents would use a dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign to investigate and surveil the Trump campaign, and later, the Trump presidency. They knew the dossier had little basis in fact but presented it to the FISA court anyway. FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith doctored another piece of evidence and presented it to the FISA court. Throughout the investigation, FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page would routinely send each other text messages expressing their disdain for Trump and his supporters.

The investigation didn’t end when President Trump won the election. In 2017, FBI Director James Comey leaked sensitive information to the press in order to force then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions to appoint a special counsel. Over the next few years, the country would be torn apart, and in the end, the special counsel never found any evidence of Russian collusion.

What about the U.S. Postal Service’s iCOP program, where postal inspectors were monitoring people’s social media accounts and forwarding posts to the Department of Homeland Security? Again, no accountability.

Federal courts have also admonished the FBI on several occasions for illegally accessing the NSA’s repository for information on Americans.

Multiple intelligence and federal law enforcement agencies continue to monitor and collect the data of American citizens, including the FBI, the CIA, and ICE. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has amassed millions of records on legal firearm owners even though a gun database is strictly prohibited by Congress.

What about how the Secret Service reportedly tried to cover up Hunter Biden’s firearm incident or how the FBI was used to track down Ashley Biden’s alleged diary? What about all the former senior-level intelligence heads stating that Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation in order to manipulate an election? Why haven’t we heard of any investigations into the current president given that he is directly implicated in the Biden family pay-to-play scheme?

Then you have the Department of Education, the National School Boards Association, and the Department of Justice colluding to target parents and label them as domestic terrorists.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, we witnessed repeated lies from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health institutions, ranging in topic from vaccines to masking to lockdowns. Even worse, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails show his ruthless efforts to target any scientists or medical professionals who disagreed with him in an attempt to destroy their credibility.

The evidence of rampant abuse within the bureaucracy is widespread and illustrates that we should not blindly and obediently trust these institutions. Many of our officials act as if we exist to serve them as opposed to them serving us. They justify their abuses with a sense of righteousness as long as they qualify their wrongdoing with the sentiment of preserving democracy. In their delusional minds, they believe they are guardians of democracy.

Thomas Jefferson once warned, “The time to guard against corruption and tyranny, is before they shall have gotten hold on us.”

      1. ALL of it! Start over and do it according to our Constitution this time! The Constitution limits the power of the Federal government – everything else is to be determined at the State level.

Entire Article: “To prevent the federal government from becoming too powerful the Founders made sure its powers were limited and well defined. The powers given to the federal government are listed in the constitution. It has the powers listed there and nothing more.

In general, the federal government’s powers are limited to areas that are of interest to the states as a whole and that are best handled at the national level. Those powers include providing a national defense, dealing with foreign nations, regulating commerce, financing the federal government, and other things that affect all the states. All other powers are left to the states or to the people.

The Constitution gives the federal government a number of powers to provide the national defense. The federal government can declare war, raise and support armies, provide and maintain a navy, and govern and regulate the armed forces. Additionally the federal government can organize, arm, and discipline the states’ militias and call them into the service of the federal government when needed.

The federal government is given powers that allow it to deal with foreign nations. The federal government can regulate commerce with foreign nations, set the value of foreign money, make treaties, appoint ambassadors and consuls, control immigration, and declare war. To prevent the states from interfering in foreign affairs, the Constitution prevents the states from entering into treaties or agreements with foreign nations.

The federal government is given powers related to commerce. Those powers include regulating commerce with foreign nations and between the states, coining money and regulating its value, and creating standards for weights and measures. Other powers related to commerce include establishing a post office, issuing patents and copyrights, and creating bankruptcy laws.

The federal government has power to finance its operations. It can collect taxes and borrow money. It can pay the debts it incurs.

The federal government has a few other powers. Those powers include creating and operating a federal court system, controlling immigration, and establishing a capital.

We can see that the powers given to the federal government are few and are well defined. This allows the federal government to do what needs to be done at the national level while preventing it from becoming too powerful and oppressive.

    1. I can’t wait to be able to eat tomatoes again! I’ve also come to the realization that using the rain barrels is not a good idea. They are too big and all the water sinks to the bottom. I saw something within the last couple of days about the cause of rot on the bottoms of tomatoes – I had an issue with that last year with my Beefsteak tomato plant and now I know why – it’s a lack of water. Same problem with the cuke vines I have now in one of them. They produced a couple early on but none since I moved it and no flowers. I think I’ll just cut them both down to half the size they are now.

  21. EXCERPT: “The IRS has stockpiled 4,500 guns and five million rounds of ammunition in recent years, including 621 shotguns, 539 long-barrel rifles and 15 submachine guns.

The Veterans Administration (VA) purchased 11 million rounds of ammunition (equivalent to 2,800 rounds for each of their officers), along with camouflage uniforms, riot helmets and shields, specialized image enhancement devices and tactical lighting.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) acquired 4 million rounds of ammunition, in addition to 1,300 guns, including five submachine guns and 189 automatic firearms for its Office of Inspector General.

According to an in-depth report on “The Militarization of the U.S. Executive Agencies,” the Social Security Administration secured 800,000 rounds of ammunition for their special agents, as well as armor and guns.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) owns 600 guns. And the Smithsonian now employs 620-armed “special agents.”

This is how it begins. We have what the Founders feared most: a “standing” or permanent army on American soil. This de facto standing army is made up of weaponized, militarized, civilian forces which look like, dress like, and act like the military; are armed with guns, ammunition and military-style equipment; are authorized to make arrests; and are trained in military tactics.

Mind you, this de facto standing army of bureaucratic, administrative, non-military, paper-pushing, non-traditional law enforcement agencies may look and act like the military, but they are not the military. Rather, they are foot soldiers of the police state’s standing army, and they are growing in number at an alarming rate.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the number of federal agents armed with guns, ammunition and military-style equipment, authorized to make arrests, and trained in military tactics has nearly tripled over the past several decades. There are now more bureaucratic (non-military) government agents armed with weapons than US Marines. As Adam Andrzejewski writes for Forbes, “the federal government has become one never-ending gun show.”

While Americans have to jump through an increasing number of hoops in order to own a gun, federal agencies have been placing orders for hundreds of millions of rounds of hollow-point bullets and military gear. Among the agencies being supplied with night-vision equipment, body armor, hollow-point bullets, shotguns, drones, assault rifles and LP gas cannons are the Smithsonian, US Mint, Health and Human Services, IRS, FDA, Small Business Administration, Social Security Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Education Department, Energy Department, Bureau of Engraving and Printing and an assortment of public universities.

Add in the Biden Administration’s plans to grow the nation’s police forces by 100,000 more cops and swell the ranks of the IRS by 87,000 new employees (some of whom will have arrest-and-firearm authority) and you’ve got a nation in the throes of martial law.

The militarization of America’s police forces in recent decades has merely sped up the timeline by which the nation is transformed into an authoritarian regime.
    ———————
This standing army has been imposed on the American people in clear violation of the spirit—if not the letter—of the Posse Comitatus Act, which restricts the government’s ability to use the US military as a police force. A standing army—something that propelled the early colonists into revolution—strips the American people of any vestige of freedom.

It was for this reason that those who established America vested control of the military in a civilian government, with a civilian commander-in-chief. They did not want a military government, ruled by force. Rather, they opted for a republic bound by the rule of law: the US Constitution.

Unfortunately, with the Constitution under constant attack, the military’s power, influence and authority have grown dramatically. Even the Posse Comitatus Act, which makes it a crime for the government to use the military to carry out arrests, searches, seizure of evidence and other activities normally handled by a civilian police force, has been greatly weakened by exemptions allowing troops to deploy domestically and arrest civilians in the wake of alleged terrorist acts.”

  22. EXCERPT: “Any serious effort to end the crisis must deal with the problem of the administrative state and the bureaucratic power thereof. Without that focus, no reform effort can get anywhere. That is surely a main takeaway from the trauma of our times.

The solution has to be drastic and it has to work. The reason is simple: a free and functioning society cannot coexist with an undemocratic beast like this on the loose, making its own laws and running roughshod over rights and liberties with zero oversight from elected leaders. Until the administrative state is defanged and disempowered, there will be no representative government and no hope for change.

It’s obvious that the bureaucracies will not reform themselves. In promising an overhaul of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for example, Rochelle Walensky emphasized better communication and less confusing messaging to the public. This is the appearance of an apology: “I’m sorry you’re upset.” The reform will be the same: cosmetic without reality. It will not deal with the central problem as plainly stated by Harvey Risch: “industry subservience and epidemiologic incompetence.”

The agency wants another chance. Maybe it does not deserve one. Still, let us reflect on how reform happens in the real world outside of government.

When a private company loses customers, its revenue declines, its stock price falls, and what happens if it wants to avoid bankruptcy? It usually taps new management, including in its C suite. Then begins the hard look. Where are the excess costs? Where are the unprofitable sectors? Where are the missed opportunities? In every case, there is a test of the new actions. Do they increase valuations?

Every private company of a certain size has a wasteful bureaucracy and taming it is always a challenge, even for the best of managers and owners. In this case, however, there is both the incentive and a standard by which to judge the results. Thanks to double-entry bookkeeping invented in the 14th century (though there are scraps of evidence of it in the ancient world too), we have a rational means to discover where to cut and where to expand. It’s not infallible but it provides a guide and an efficacy test.

In the case of government bureaucracy, accounting operates very differently. Congress approves the money and it is spent. That’s the end. There are no consumers voluntarily electing to purchase their services. Their revenue is extracted via various forms of force.
    ——————–
If a serious reform-minded Congress comes to power, abolition and not reform and not cuts, needs to be the starting point of discussion. The hour is late and so much is at stake, including freedom itself. This might be the last chance.

New CEOs do it all the time. They shut down whole divisions, let go thousands of employees, end relationships with suppliers, sell off properties, and do anything possible to save the company. They do it in order to survive. The company in this case is the United States and it too needs saving. To have any hope of that requires dismantling the unConstitutional structures of cruft that have grown up within government which have so completely alienated it from the will of the people.

There needs to be a to-be-abolished list and any federal government institution with the word agency, department, or bureau needs to be on it. The last few years have shown us the power of these institutions and the devastation they can cause. The only sure way of preventing it from happening again is to put a hard stop on all the bureaucracies that caused our suffering. Society itself, which is smarter than bureaucracy, can manage the rest.”

DEVELOPING: The Biden administration is also investigating Truth Social’s parent Trump Media & Technology Group, and in its sweeping and indiscriminate raid on Trump’s inner sanctum, it potentially walked away with an untold number of personal and business documents, including ones that may be related to Truth Social and the Biden SEC’s ongoing investigation, which happens to be led by Hillary Clinton’s old campaign CFO Gary Gensler, who recently named Peter Strzok’s wife Melissa Hodgman as his associate director of SEC enforcement
