Note: The following text is a transcription of the Stone Engraving of the parchment Declaration of Independence (the document on display in the Rotunda at the National Archives Museum.) The spelling and punctuation reflects the original.

In Congress, July 4, 1776

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

I was doing some searches for Q and that burning tree and ran across an article posted on The Burning Platform. Holy shite!!! Talk about negative!!! Here’s just one excerpt – from Jan 2021: “As stated in many of my past articles, I have speculated on Trump as one of three possibilities:

            1.) He was a genuine swamp fighter

            2.) He was an unwitting dupe who vastly underestimated the swamp

            3.) He was a Judas Goat leading his supporters like lambs to the slaughter

            What has now become clear is this: Trump was # 3 all along, who first pretended to be a #1 and now pretends to be #2.

    Now will the transgendered athletes who unfairly won medals and set records now return the “stolen jewelry” as former President Trump likes to say? Numerous Tour de France cyclists gave up their medals over doping infractions. One could say transgendered athletes are “doping” by going through male puberty, their growing and developing bodies bathed in testosterone, unlike their future female competitors.

    Perhaps Big Athletics is now following the science, as the Daily Mail reported, “David Gerrard, vice chairman of FINA’s Sports Medicine Committee, said the decision has provided a blueprint for other sports to follow in balancing fairness with inclusion, and was backed by a robust process.”

The event will provide an opportunity for a Q&A forum between the the agricultural community and Western Legacy Development’s Advisory Board Members and owners.

      Speculation has swirled in cattle country since last month’s announcement of a proposed 8,000 head per day beef processing plant in Rapid City, S.D. Many question the availability of such large numbers of cattle and/or bison in the region, the availability of sufficient labor and housing for the incoming workforce. Many of those same questions are now being asked by Rapid City residents and officials who want more details about the proposed $1.1 billion project.

      “The principals that are involved still have a lot of homework to do,” City Councilman Ritchie Nordstrom told South Dakota Public Radio. “Where do we get those employees? If the number that is being recited is close to being accurate, we don’t know where’re they’re going to come from and where we’re going to house them.”

      Those questions were echoed by City Councilman Pat Jones. He represents a ward in the southeast part of the town. “We have an affordable housing shortage in Rapid City,” Jones said. “The population continues to grow faster than the market can replace housing.”

      Megan Kingsbury, whose family ranches near Kadoka, S.D., announced plans for the project called Western Legacy Development Corporation. Kingsbury and Associates, — which is Megan Kingsbury’s consulting business — and Sirius Realty, where Kingsbury is a managing partner are both based in South Carolina. If realized, the plant would become the largest i North America and one of the largest beef plants in the world.

      Western Legacy’s proposal would create 2,400 jobs and Kingsbury said the plant would utilize the latest technology available. In an interview with SDPB’s Lori Walsh on “In the Moment,” Kingsbury said her company is “holding this project privately and funding it in-house.”

      City councilman Nordstrom questioned if the industrial park could fit the 1-million-square-foot facility into the park or build the infrastructure needed for the plant without extra financing from the city. “I would like to see a meat processing plant, but right now the conditions for the current proposed location don’t fit the parameters,” Nordstrom said.

      Transportation, water use and odor are also concerns. Jones has heard from constituents who worry about heavy rail and truck traffic near their neighborhoods. He’s also worried about the potential for unpleasant smells like those caused by the Federal Beef plant, which closed after a 2002 fire at its central Rapid City location.

      Kingsbury, however, says the proposed plant’s environmental impact would be limited: cattle would not be held outside, water would be recycled on-site and the plant would emit no odor thanks to methane-capture technology. She said the technology will reduce the plant’s environmental impact and allow it to run at a larger scale, with fewer workers in better conditions.

      Kingsbury said she hopes construction will begin in 2023 with a targeted completion date of 2026.”

(the first paragraph below is from the 3 dissenting SCOTUS justices in the roe v wade decision)

Or said more particularly: If those people did not understand reproductive rights as part of the guarantee of liberty conferred in the Fourteenth Amendment, then those rights do not exist. As an initial matter, note a mistake in the just preceding sentence. We referred there to the “people” who ratified the Fourteenth Amendment: What rights did those “people” have in their heads at the time? But, of course, “people” did not ratify the Fourteenth Amendment. Men did. So it is perhaps not so surprising that the ratifiers were not perfectly attuned to the importance of reproductive rights for women’s liberty, or for their capacity to participate as equal members of our Nation.

    Indeed, the ratifiers—both in 1868 and when the original Constitution was approved in 1788— did not understand women as full members of the community embraced by the phrase “We the People.”

    In other words, say the leftist justices, because only White men ratified the Constitution, which they view as a document of mere rules (and one can always cheat when rules are involved) rather than of universal principles, the Constitution is inapplicable to any people who are not White men. And once you said that, you have effectively voided the Constitution because a national document cannot be valid if, as the dissent says, its ratification was dishonest and incomplete. The same justices who swore to uphold the Constitution and whose job is to interpret it invalidated it.

  30. From my house to yours…..God Bless Our Country!!!! You can’t see it because the clematis is so thick but there is another bronze figure (the top 2 were made by M’s hubby) of an old fashioned tram car on one of the rungs on the ladder. The top one is a small hut on the back of a wagon with a team of horses that can be wound up to move back and forth. I doubt it would work any more – she gave me those 4 or 5 years ago.

      1. Everything except the red/white petunias have personal significance for me. And yes, feet in the shade, head in the sun but that is Lily of the Valley – my grandma, with whom I lived most of my early childhood, had it in front of her house, which was why I planted it; the Uncle Sam statue belonged to my a-Mom who died in 2012; I bought the ladder and chair during a once-in-a-lifetime 3-day trip with my sister as adults. It was the same week-end I took her on the riverboat. Of course the items on the ladder that were M’s, as well as the blue pot. And my birth Mom gave me the clematis plant 4 years ago. She had planted it outside her apartment but didn’t have the shade and it didn’t do well so she gave it to me. I expect it will outlive her……

          I can’t name most plants! I didn’t think they were cannas, not tall enough … but, didn’t know what else! There are a number of those plants in my neighborhood… they had white blooms in the early summer … does Lily of the Valley have that bloom? If so, now I know what to ask for, as apparently the deer don’t care for them!

          1. Yes, they do – tiny little white bells and they smell simply divine!!!! I fill several bud vases with them and the whole house smells delicious!!! They bloom very early and for a very short period of time but stay green all summer.

    Newsweek reporting Saudi Arabia may join BRICS

    “The BRICS and the SCO share one important ideological quality: they are both focused on multipolarity, and their summits have even been held back to back with one another at times,” Matthew Neapole, an international affairs expert and contributor to the Macdonald-Laurier Institute in Canada, told Newsweek.

    “Both are angling to act as force multipliers for this drive for multipolarity, to help along with alternatives [i.e, in currency or banking],” he added. “It could, in theory, facilitate economic linkages and step into gaps that U.S. institutions are not filling due to sanctions, such as those laid on Russia.”

    Such an alignment would have significant impact on US dollar reserve currency status. Given the pending collapse of the EU due to self-inflicted sanctions damage, there would be no EuroDollar surplus. The US would find itself unable to finance foreign terrorism and state overthrows when it must make reliance on domestic taxpayer funds alone and cannot militarise the global currency system in its favour.

    If true this is a great reason to celebrate the 4th of July!!!

  34. that picture above of the little girl reminds me of this story about my granddaughter. She was just a kindergartner at the time–her cat died. They buried it alongside the garage and every day she would “visit” Peaches. She would stand there mumbling something and finally curiosity got the better of my daughter and she crept up close enough to hear what the little one was saying…

    Here are some helpful hints on how to bother your local bolshies.
    Tip #1: A “Happy Birthday America” Party

    Long ago, while working in a New York City office, I wore a birthday hat all day at work on Christmas Eve Day. The Christians got it and were tickled. When my liberal co-workers asked whose birthday it was, I said, “It’s Jesus’ birthday.” They got really annoyed. That’s when it hit me: liberals are peeved when we celebrate all the things they hate, like Jesus and America.

    I highly recommend a “Happy Birthday America” party. Decorate your yard as liberals would for their child’s birthday bash. I buy the same birthday hats they buy for their children of yet-to-be-decided gender. Put signs on your lawn. Don’t be shy. Its YOUR house.

    Tip #2: Get Yourself an American Flag
    Nothing sets off a pinko like Old Glory. Flags are like sunshine to vampires Pelosi. I have one in my car so that passing commies will feel the pain. You can put a flag on your social media profiles too. It will keep Marxists from posting stupid things on your Facebook page like “Happy Native American Desecration Day.”

    Remember what I said about hijacking the liberals’ rituals. Look, I’m doing it again.

    Tip #3: BBQ Animals
    This is important. You MUST BBQ at least three species. Many liberals only eat “food” meant for rabbits, and are easily repulsed by the sweet, lofting scent-sation of beef, pork, and chicken being grilled. It took mankind, (yes, I said mankind, suck on that too, libs!) many years to rise to the top of the food chain. Don’t be shy, eat everything you can before Bidenflation has us all eating Alpo. Bonus points if you shot or caught dinner yourself.

    Tip #4: Country Music
    You must blare country music. I prefer to open our yearly shebang by filling the neighborhood with Hank Jr’s “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” as it sets the tone perfectly.     Nothing tops off a great Independence Day celebration like a night of fireworks. Sure, your local laws may require you to stop the barrage before midnight but I seem to recall Antifa prags and BLM flunkies burning our cities on July 4th of 2020. A few fireworks should be acceptable.

    SAN ANTONIO, TX – On Wednesday, Jean Marie Bugoma, 25, pleaded guilty in a Bexar County courtroom to one count of bestiality in the presence of a child.

    Last year, police arrested Bugoma following an investigation, which included the use of DNA evidence that confirmed that he had sexually assaulted at multiple horses since 2020.

    On February 14, 2021, the owner of a horse stables, along with San Antonio police officers caught Bugoma inside the facility. He was also captured on surveillance video walking through the stables naked on June 22, 2020, according to court documents.

    KSAT reported:

    In that (June 22, 2021) incident, the owner noticed items out of place, a horse was out of its stall and two horses had sustained injuries. A veterinarian was called and determined that the horses were sexually and physically assaulted.

    A similar incident occurred on Jan. 7 (2021), when multiple horses were found “hobbled,” meaning their legs were tied together, and the suspect again committed bestiality, the affidavit stated.

    Bexar County Criminal District Court Judge Ron Rangel sentenced Bugoma to 10 years in a Texas state prison.

    Bugoma is a Haitian national.

    There are currently around 55,000 Haitians living in the United States under Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which was granted in 2010, following a devastating earthquake in Haiti.

    Many have been deported over the last several years for committing various crimes in this country. However, current Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorka has extended a ban on all deportations for Haitians under TPS, at least through November 2022.
