Since Father’s Day is rapidly approaching, I thought it would be a good time to look at some options to make Dad a special cake for his special day.
Let’s begin with a super easy one first. This cake can be made with any flavor box mix baked in a 13 x 9 pan. When cooled, you simply frost with white frosting and add M&M’s to make the suspenders and the bow tie. (You can get fancy and make a regular tie as well.)

If that seems too easy and you’d like to try your hand at more involved decorating, I suggest the Beer Mug Cake. (There are 3-D versions of this cake that are very involved, so I suggest this flat version.) It merely requires any flavor cake baked in a 13 x 9 pan, cooled and then inverted onto a baking sheet. The corners are trimmed into a rounded mug shape and the frosting is piped on in long lines in gold. White frosting is then piped in swirls to mimic foam and a handle is fashioned from white fondant. (Roll the fondant into a rope and make an elongated “U”. Insert toothpicks into the 2 ends and attach to the side of the mug.

If you’re feeling even more daring, there’s always the Hamburger cake. This will require 2 cake mixes—one vanilla (for the bun) and one chocolate (for the hamburgers). The “cheese” in this hamburger is actually colored fondant. (If that sounds too involved or difficult, skip the cheese!) The sesame seeds on the top bun are mini white chocolate chips. The rest of the details, lettuce, ketchup, mustard are all tinted frostings.

If cupcakes are more your style, you can decorate them in numerous ways to honor the sports Dad loves: tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer, are all easy choices.

And while we’re discussing cupcakes, if Dad’s a beer lover, what better cake than one made of both cupcakes AND beer?

Lastly, might I recommend a real show stopper? The Bacon cake! A vanilla layer cake, frosted with vanilla icing infused with maple flavoring and surrounded by…BACON!

Morning All!

it’s a stiffer type of frosting…made with sugar, corn syrup, and water…if you want to make it homemade. you can also purchase a tub of it premade. (walmart has it in its wilton section of frostings, and decorations) It’s for making anything out of frosting that regular icing can’t…like a 3-D bow tie…regular frosting is too soft.
it’s almsot like edible clay–but frosting

i never had that…
have you ever made an icing out of powdered sugar and water? (if you add enough water to the sugar, you make a great drizzle icing) if you add a very little amount of water it’s very thick…that’s sort of what fondant is. the corn syrup makes it smooth and easier to work with…but it is essentially a sweet play dough…LOL

Good go after this lawless administration.
entire article
The National Police Association (NPA) announced that it is suing the Biden administration over the 2021 “whipping” incidents in Del Rio, Texas.
The NPA filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) & Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for withholding information about how the White House handled the event, in which President Joe Biden falsely accused Border Patrol agents of whipping illegal aliens.
The lawsuit was filed after the DHS and CBP failed to reply to a February 2022 FOIA for all records such as texts, emails, phone calls and other communications regarding the CBP’s investigation into the incident last September.
The NPA also asked for any and all communications that happened between DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the White House.
According to the Washington Examiner, Mayorkas stood before Congress promising to conclude the investigation within a “matter of days, not weeks.” However, no conclusion has yet been released.
DHS officials reportedly said that the conclusion would not be shared because it would acquit the accused agents and “embarrass the Biden Administration.”
Although the White House allegedly knew the accusations against border patrol agents were false, no apologies or acknowledgments were made.
In a statement, NPA spokesperson Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith said “we believe our lawsuit will result in DHS and CBP conforming to the law and handing over the communications and documents that prove the Administration knew their accusations against these agents were false and took no corrective action.”
Additionally, she claims that recent media reports believe Biden is planning to charge the agents with “administrative violations” in order to dodge having to admit they made a mistake.

EXCERPT: “A few weeks back, at the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Bill Gates said some surprising things. In the course of a 56-minute panel discussion the vaccine pusher extraordinaire admitted (starting at the 18:22 mark) that the Covid vaccines do not block infection and that the duration of whatever protection they bring to the table is extremely short.
He later talked (starting at 51:00 mark) of the absurdity of implementing any Covid passport program—and one can logically deduce any other measure to segregate the vaccinated from the unvaccinated—when the injections have shown no ability to do the least that one should expect from a vaccine: prevent infection and transmission.
These admissions violently kick the stool out from under the arguments made in favor of the more assaultive and damaging Covid “containment measures” taken in the past two years, many of which are still being pursued with pitiless vigor by public officials, CEOs, and educational “leaders” all around the world.
Are we to believe that Bill Gates had a sudden impulse to undermine all that he used his billions to mercilessly promote over the last two years? And that he was giving all those currently carrying out those plans permission to stand down? It’s a nice thought. But I don’t believe it to be the case.
No. Bill was simply engaging in one of the more tried and true techniques of elite information management, the limited hangout, or what I prefer to call a drive to “save the frame” of an argument that is quickly taking on water.
Since Bill and many of the people he has paired up with to force the experimental and often harmful vaccines upon the world, effectively own or have donated untold amounts of money to many of the world’s more important media outlets, he knew beforehand that he did not have to worry much about his words being widely circulated.
And so it was. Only relatively small independent news gatherers took any note of what he said. So who was he addressing his words to and why? He was speaking to the fellow true believers and providing them with a rhetorical model for handling the loss of faith some among their ranks are having in the face of the vaccines’ abject failure.
The key to understanding the frame game here is the clause Gates uttered right before the “but” with which he introduced his truthful words about the “vaccines” pitiful infection-blocking capabilities and short duration of effectiveness: “The vaccines have saved millions of lives.”
Those familiar with the work of cognitive linguist George Lakoff, or the activities of pollster and so-called political wordsmith Frank Luntz will know what I’m talking about.
What these two men have in common—despite their divergent political allegiances—is their belief in the extraordinary power of rhetorical framing; that is, the tendency of the human brain to subordinate the careful analysis of empirically proven details to the embrace of an overarching cognitive metaphor that appeals to their deeper, if often unstated, cultural and emotional values.
It’s the difference between, for example: “The US invaded Iraq on false pretenses and destroyed it, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people.” and “In its efforts to bring democracy to Iraq, the US made a number of tragic mistakes.”
The first states a bald empirical truth. The second obfuscates that crude reality and subordinates it to the noble vision, so cherished by Americans when contemplating their role in the world, of a country that is constantly helping people around the world to better their lives.
And with widespread imposition of mental frames like this through the media, “poof!” go all the gory, on-the-ground details, and with them more importantly, the need to actually interrogate what we did and how we might seek to repair the lives we broke.”

governor abbot and mexican governor worked together to devise plan to stop the caravans…
FTA
The impetus for the agreement was Abbott’s shutdown of Texas-Coahuila border trade, with intense truck inspections that slowed commerce as Abbott’s troopers searched vehicles for evidence of migrant smuggling.
What drew headlines at the time was Abbott’s transport of illegal migrants to Washington, D.C., but the power move on his part was in the laborous truck inspections which was a problem for the Mexicans. The Mexican governor wanted that stopped, because it was hurting the normal economic activity of Coahuila, and he (along with three other Mexican governors, accordin to Bensman) signed the agreement with Abbott to get it stopped.
That’s why the roadblocks and ship-backs in Coahuila, courtesy of Mexican state police, are going strong now. The Mexican state cops aren’t putting up with these caravans from the migrants from some 150 countries at the expense of their own economy. They’re breaking these cartels up and sending the migrants back, one truck at a time.
The president of Mexico permitted their sending, and Joe Biden of course, had planned to welcome all comers. But the two governors wanted normal life to go on, and the Mexican governor got busy with his end of the bargain to put a stop to the whole thing right then and there.
Bensman’s report is absolutely fascinating in its detail about the agreement in place that was as good as gold for breaking up the vast migrant caravans heading to El Norte.
For that, Joe Biden should thank him for saving him from a public relations disaster. Which of course, he won’t.
What we see here is an amazingly good creative effort, by two governors to keep life normal, and illegal migrant disorder away from Texas. The Coahuila governor keeps cross-border trade in his home state. The Texas governor is spared the expense and mess of yet another border surge inundating his state. This has a rather interesting echo of how President Trump used to deal with Mexico — with direct force and action — shutting down the border until Mexico agreed to play ball on the “remain in Mexico” pact.

The Bee: “RICHMOND, VA—Cigarette maker Marlboro has announced that they have added puberty blockers to cigarettes to make them legal for kids.
“Now that our smooth Marlboro cigarettes can block puberty, 13 and 14-year-old kids should be able to use them legally, without parental consent,” said a spokesperson for the company.
Cited as “lung-affirming care,” the cigarette manufacturer’s decision to supplement their products with puberty blockers has caused progressives to praise Marlboro as a true advocate for children’s health.
“Well, if these things have puberty blockers in them, they must be good for kids,” said Pediatrician Dr. Ima G. Reumer, who specializes in non-invasive, gender-affirming mastectomies and genital mutilations for tikes. “I’ll have my staff add a couple of packs of Marlboros to my patients’ recovery packages.”
Critics have pointed out the cigarette manufacturer’s sordid history of using deceptive marketing tactics to make young, susceptible populations think cigarettes were cool. But these critics were quickly and violently silenced by trans activists for daring to question a child’s desire to please woke parents by changing genders.
At publishing time, Anheuser-Busch announced plans to dip their toe in the lucrative vulnerable-children market by adding testosterone to their beer, thus making it legal for kids.”

EXCERPT: “Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, who has been in a London prison since 2019, has been ordered to be extradited to the US to face charges of of espionage and hacking.
Attorneys for Assange have stated their concern that he may be at an increased risk of suicide in a US prison, due to the “restrictions he could face in US custody,” reports the Washington Post. Assange was on the run for seven years prior to his incarceration in a London prison, and had sought asylum in the Ecuadoran Embassy.”
The Home Office released a statement saying that “the UK courts have not found that it would be oppressive, unjust or an abuse of process to extradite Mr. Assange. Nor have they found that extradition would be incompatible with his human rights, including his right to a fair trial and to freedom of expression, and that whilst in the US he will be treated appropriately, including in relation to his health.”
It was that “oppressive” risk of suicide that led district judge Vanessa Baraitser to rule previously that Assange should not be extradited to the United States, in January 2021.
Assange has 14 days to appeal the order, which was signed by home secretary Priti Patel. Patel is the final word on extradition for the UK, though there are additional legal options Assange and his team can pursue in order to block his return to the US. A further statement from Patel’s office said that Assange “will only be surrendered to the requesting state when all avenues of legal challenge are exhausted.”

Entire Article @ WND: “A record 81 black candidates are running for Congress as Republicans this year, an increase of more than 50% over the 2020 election cycle, according to the National Republican Congressional Committee.
In an opinion column for Newsweek, Jeff Charles noted the new development comes after decades of struggling to attract minorities minority voters as well as candidates. Charles, the host of “A Fresh Perspective” podcast, said that in the “post-Trump era, it appears the GOP is beginning to embrace a new strategy, one that includes supporting minority and female candidates to appeal to a broader swath of voters.”
However, the trend actually began under President Trump, who won the approval of a substantial portion of black voters and featured many black leaders during the 2020 Republican convention.
The black conventions speakers recounted Trump’s accomplishments for the black community, including the lowest unemployment rate ever, the prison and criminal sentence-reforming First Step Act, the “opportunity zones” that incentivize investment in poor areas, permanent funding for historically black colleges and universities, and promoting school choice.
In an interview with the Washington Times in March, Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., listed a number of black Republicans, like himself, who have been elected to office, including Rep. Burgess Owens of Utah, former Rep. Allen West of Florida, former Rep. Mia Love of Utah, Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears and North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson.
“And what they say is, ‘You know what? Maybe I should step up, too,'” he told the Times.”

Entire Article @ JustTheNews: “With May’s fiscal numbers now in the books, Virginia has recorded a 17.8% revenue increase on a year-to-date basis. In addition to improvements over the year, the commonwealth’s revenue numbers this May were 9.9% higher than May of last year. Gov. Glenn Youngkin said the numbers confirm that it is time to deliver tax cuts to Virginians.
“This report confirms that the time is now to deliver meaningful tax cuts to Virginia families who are getting crushed by five dollar gas and record-high inflation,” the governor said in a statement. “While Virginia was nearly last place in recovering from the pandemic, my administration remains laser-focused on job creation, and I’m so pleased we’re now in the top third among states for job growth this year, adding more than 60,000 jobs since the beginning of my administration. We still have much more work to do but I’m encouraged by our growing labor force, increasing wages, and the fundamental strength in Virginia’s economy.”
Secretary of Finance Stephen Cummings said that because last year’s tax filing deadline was in May, rather than April, the commonwealth needs to look at combined April and May numbers compared with last year.
“On a combined basis, April and May revenues in 2022 grew 27.3% versus the same period last year, reflecting better than expected final income tax payments and lower than expected individual income tax refunds,” Cummings said. “Growth in payroll withholding and sales tax collections also showed strong year-over-year gains for the month, indicative of continuing employment and wage growth in Virginia.”
In May, payroll withholding increased by 12.9%. The governor’s office noted there were 113,000 more residents employed in April of this year than in the same month of the previous year. This is a year-over-year increase of 2.7%. At this time, the commonwealth still only has 96.5% of the jobs it had before the COVID-19 pandemic and still needs to recover 151,000 jobs.
Virginia ranked 47th in the country in jobs recovered since the pandemic, despite being 16th during the first four months of 2022, according to the governor’s office.
Lawmakers passed a budget that includes an increase to the standard deduction, which is meant to provide broad tax cuts to the middle class, but did not include every tax relief plan in Youngkin’s original proposal and did not provide drivers with any relief for the gas tax amid increasing costs. The governor is still considering amendments to the budget plan.”

Entire Article: “Attorney Michael Avenatti pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud in a federal courtroom in Santa Ana Thursday. Avenatti, who had already been convicted in New York of embezzling funds from former client and adult film actress Stormy Daniels, pleaded guilty Thursday to four counts of wire fraud and a single count of tax fraud, admitting he misappropriated funds from multiple clients.
Prosecutors had alleged the Newport Beach attorney defrauded at least five clients of nearly $10 million in settlement funds between January 2015 and March 2019 to save his law firm from bankruptcy, fend off creditors, and spend money on himself. In entering a guilty plea to the tax count, Avenatti also admitted to blocking IRS efforts to collect unpaid payroll taxes of an estimated $5 million and include payroll taxes that had been withheld from employee paychecks of a Tully’s Coffee operated by an Avenatti-owned company.
Avenatti has since been suspended by the State Bar of California.
Avenatti made an open plea in the case, meaning there was no prior agreement with prosecutors on a possible sentence. The charges could mean as many as 83 years in federal prison and restitution topping $10 million, but U.S. District Judge James Selna will make the final determination on an appropriate sentence. Avenatti is tentatively scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 19.
After gaining notoriety for representing Daniels in a nondisclosure dispute with then-President Donald Trump over an alleged sexual liaison, Avenatti tried his hand at his own presidential run – then was dragged back to earth by the weight of several lawsuits. He was convicted earlier this year of identity theft and wire fraud for getting Daniels’ literary agent to send about $300,000 in advance money for her book “Full Disclosure” to a bank account he managed. Avenatti was also convicted of attempting to extort as much as $25 million from Nike.
He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison in the Nike case, and four years in the Daniels case, but because some of the time will be served concurrently, he received roughly five years combined.
Avenatti is still facing a total of 31 counts of wire fraud, bank fraud, and tax related charges related to false statements he allegedly made in an attempted to get a bank loan, aggravated identity theft for misusing the name of a tax preparer, and false statements he made after his law firm was forced into bankruptcy.”

Kemp, who soundly defeated Trump-endorsed challenger David Perdue in Georgia’s May 24 gubernatorial primary, announced Thursday he was backing trucking company owner Mike Collins in Tuesday’s Republican primary runoff in the 10th District. Collins’s opponent is former DeKalb County CEO Vernon Jones, a former Democrat endorsed by Trump who was previously a member of the state House in Georgia. With the district drawn to elect Republicans easily, the winner is expected to cruise to victory in November.
“I’m proud to endorse Mike Collins to be the next congressman for Georgia’s 10th Congressional District,” Kemp said in a statement. “I will be casting my ballot for Mike Collins in the June 21st GOP runoff, and I ask fellow Republicans across the district to join me in sending a trusted conservative to Washington!”
Collins outpaced Jones 26% to 22% in the May 24 primary but finished short of the 50% threshold needed to avoid a runoff. He has since picked up endorsements from Republicans who failed to advance to the runoff and would appear to have an edge in the Tuesday contest to pick a GOP nominee in the 10th District. The district, an expansive rural bastion situated east of Atlanta, is held by Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA), who ran unsuccessfully for secretary of state.
Trump’s overall record in Republican primaries across the country is stellar, with the former president racking up more victories this past Tuesday in GOP nominating contests in Nevada and South Carolina.
But Trump’s effort to reshape Republican politics in Georgia has been a resounding failure. In the May 24 primaries, candidates endorsed by the former president came up short in contests for governor, attorney general, insurance commissioner, and secretary of state. In that contest, Hice lost to incumbent Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. The 10th Congressional District GOP runoff could be yet another defeat for Trump.
Jones was originally running for governor but dropped out of the gubernatorial primary to give Perdue a clearer shot at ousting Kemp.
Trump’s endorsements in contests in Georgia stem from his unsupported claims that President Joe Biden’s victory in the state in 2020 was fraudulent and that Republicans in Atlanta did nothing to uncover the plot and overturn the results.”

EXCERPT: “The topics of local military conflicts and illegal human organ trade always go hand in hand, since military actions are not just about solving geopolitical issues and commonplace profiting off the arms trafficking but also about illegal human organ trade. Organ buyer-ups and black-market transplant surgeons have long become ordinary elements of the military landscape just like mercenaries, New Eastern Outlook wrote at the end of March.
On 29 May 2022, the Russian Investigative Committee said it will look into allegations the Ukrainian Red Cross Society was involved in shady activities, including keeping records of children with “healthy organs” in the city of Mariupol. Vladimir Taranenko claimed the office had medical records for over 1,000 children, but they marked their “healthy organs” instead of any medical conditions or procedures.
Taranenko is the head of the Donetsk-based civic organisation ‘Peoples Retinue,’ a volunteer movement that states one of its goals assisting is law enforcement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (“DPR”). He also claimed that some of the reading materials discovered at the office were instructions on “how to use weapons, including in a format intended for children.”
China Rising Investigates
In their podcast on 5 June, James Bradley and Jeff Brown, hosts of China Rising Radio Sinoland, discussed Brown’s research on the latest allegations of organ harvesting. “Jeff has done original deep work and been preparing for this for days. I have in my hand the article that [Jeff] sent me, translated from Russian, and its name is ‘Ukraine is a black market in transplantation’,” Bradley said.
Russia finally was able to get into Mariupol and liberate it and they are finding all kinds of evidence, “and we’re talking about organ harvesting,” Brown said. The image below gives an outline of Bradly and Brown’s discussion, the revelations of which are more horrific than the image suggests.
Hear what Jeff Brown discovered in the video below.
If the video above is removed from YouTube you can watch it on Brighteon HERE. We were unable to find a copy of the article discussed above on China Rising’s website. However, we were able to find an article published by Fondsk the title of which translates to: ‘Ukraine – black market of transplantology’ and is most likely the same article, see HERE. We have translated Fondsk’s article from Russian to English using Yandex and attached it below.
History Of Organ Harvesting In Ukraine
A thorough and lengthy investigation would be required to verify or refute events or statements made over the past few decades which is beyond our capabilities. So, to give some idea of the history relating to organ harvesting in Ukraine, what follows are simply extracts from two sources namely, an article published by Frontier Post and another by New Eastern Outlook. There are, however, numerous resources available online.
More than 100,000 people are currently on the waiting list for organ transplants in the United States, most of whom are awaiting kidney transplants, according to data published on the statistical information portal Statista. It should be noted that there is a shortage of donor organs not only in the United States but also in many other countries and demand creates supply.
The main sources of organs for illicit trade are third world countries and hotspots. Many researchers note that Ukraine has become one of the main centres of black-market transplantation in recent years. After the start of the Russian special operation to demilitarise Ukraine, the advancing Russian troops and the armies of the republics of Donbass discovered mass graves, which, presumably, contain the remains of people who were killed by members of the Ukrainian national battalions. Many of them likely became victims of black-market transplants.
In the 1990s the chief doctor of the Lviv regional clinical hospital Bogdan Fedak founded a crime ring selling children’s organs to foreign countries, mostly to the US. An investigation concluded that around 130 infants went missing in Lviv. In 2007, Ukraine witnessed a scandal around the Israeli citizen Michael Zis who was accused of practising black-market transplant surgery. Zis was detained on 13 October 2007 in Donetsk on request from law-enforcement agencies.
The flourishing of illegal organ trafficking in Ukraine began to be discussed as early as 2014, when, after the start of the so-called anti-terrorist operation in the east of the country, reports of disappearances began to arrive en masse. At the same time, information began to appear about the activities of mobile hospitals in the country, the main activity of which was to extract donor organs with their subsequent shipment abroad. Their victims were both civilians and LDNR militia, and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
On September 29, 2014, the OSCE Special Representative for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings Madina Jarbussynova claimed that the mass graves discovered in the Donbas contained bodies missing internal organs, who have most likely become victims of black-market transplant surgeons.
The OSCE issued a statement on 30 October 2014 saying that Jarbussynova’s remarks had been taken out of context and she was merely citing two Russian NGO reports about the possible removal and sale of human organs in Eastern Ukraine. “The OSCE does not possess any evidence regarding possible organ harvesting in Eastern Ukraine,” the statement said.

From General Flynn – EXCERPT: “Every week we read about some effort or another by states to push back against the Biden administration’s open border policy. Although I support all forms of state resistance to the border policies of our lawless federal government, Americans need to distinguish between theatrical and real resistance.
Citizens must insist that their state officials, especially their governors, resist federal overreach impacting every aspect of their daily lives and the very fabric of American society. Each day we read of new caravans of thousands of illegal immigrants moving north to invade our country.
One story reported on many hundreds of illegals from 11 different countries sprinting across the border in just a couple of hours. The most recent report this author has seen was on the dangerous barrios of Venezuela being emptied of the worst criminal offenders, essentially flushing themselves of destructive elements and sending them due north to invade America. Let’s examine some of the approaches governors are taking to stop the invasion, which in my view are more theater than real.
Shipping Illegal Aliens
In April, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced he wanted illegal immigrants who are caught by federal agents in Texas to be sent directly to Washington, D.C., to the doorstep of the Biden administration. Abbott said the transport would be “voluntary” and signed a directive to the Texas Division of Emergency Management ordering the procurement of buses, planes or other means of “evacuating” illegals from the state.
A week later, Texas delivered the first busload of illegal aliens to Washington, while promising to send more. Apparently tongue-in-cheek, Abbott claimed, “By busing migrants to Washington, D.C., the Biden administration will be able to more immediately meet the needs of the people they are allowing to [illegally] cross our border.”
The public has been told that these illegal aliens are not in law enforcement custody while on the buses and can travel wherever they wish after getting the free ride to D.C. Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced in May that his state would also drop off illegal immigrants in Washington. Likewise, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis responded to his discovery that the Biden administration was flying “multiple planeloads of illegal immigrants … into his state in the dead of night and under the radar.”
DeSantis described President Joe Biden’s actions as a “mass human smuggling operation.” He adopted a similar strategy to Abbott’s, proposing to send illegal immigrants to Biden’s home state of Delaware, or to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, where former President Barack Obama resides.
However, very recently, DeSantis realized the error of this method by declaring “the feds just release them anyways.” He said Abbott “should send them back across the border” and that he, DeSantis, would send resources to Texas to assist. I find this admirable and constitutional, but let’s see if DeSantis’ words turn into action.”

“Note the serious historical and constitutional error in Abbott’s statement when he said that “border security has always been a federal responsibility until the Biden Administration.” As the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia explained in his concurring and dissenting opinion in Arizona v. U.S. (2012), for most of the history of the nation, the states were heavily involved in implementing their own immigration restrictions.
Notwithstanding “the myth of an era of unrestricted immigration” in the first 100 years of the republic, the states enacted numerous laws restricting the immigration of certain classes of aliens. State laws not only provided for the removal of unwanted immigrants but also imposed penalties on unlawfully present illegals as well as those who aided their illegal invasion of America.”

Entire Article @ AmericanGreatness: “We may have been shocked to see the Uvalde cops protecting a school shooter from parents (and that is what they were doing) but we shouldn’t be surprised: It will always be easier, when you have a gun, to point it at someone who doesn’t have a gun. That goes for school shooters, policemen, and everyone else—including the government. That’s point number one.
Point number two is that no one will fight as hard for your life, your family, or your property as you will. Jacob Albarado is the off-duty border patrol agent who grabbed a shotgun and rushed into the school. His being an agent meant the police recognized him and let him pass their cordons, but it had nothing whatever to do with the self-sacrificing impulses that took him to the school: Albarado’s wife and daughter were in the building. He was there as a father and a husband, not as a Border Patrol agent. It was the heroic act of a family-man, not of a government employee. The media has chosen to ignore this fundamental fact entirely and instead pursues the ridiculous contention that Border Patrol agents are somehow inherently braver than policemen.
The other parents at Uvalde must have felt the same desperate impulses that drove Albarado, but they lacked the official imprimatur (and the firepower) to act. Meanwhile, the police who were on the scene only as government employees and not as parents behaved differently: After all, they had lives of their own to consider—and perhaps families of their own as well. In the end they considered them so much that they chose their own lives and families over the lives of the children they were sworn to protect.
It is a virtual certainty that fewer children would have been killed at Uvalde had the police not responded at all. It is likely more parents would have been killed saving their children, but I doubt there is a single bereaved parent who would not take the place of his child if he could.
The tragic lesson we derive from this shooting is not a failure of gun control but a failure of government, for reasons of fundamental human behavior. Never rely on the government to protect your life or your property. When you most need them, they’ll be right there—on the other side.
What the government is supposed to bring to bear in emergencies are the resources of the community. But resources decoupled from human relationships are worse than worthless—they become an instrument of evil. They become guns pointed in the wrong direction.
They become the police at Uvalde.
Severing human connections—for instance, by locking people in their apartments alone for a year—is one means of rendering people weak and helpless. Disarming them is another. The government doesn’t want to face off against you and your friends, much less if you can put up a fight. Remember that you are the human-battery that powers government: The only limit to how much energy the government can extract from you is your willingness to work, and their ability to compel you to work. The only limit to their ability to compel you is your and your community’s ability to defend yourselves from them. No individual criminal can ever be as dangerous, steal as much, or murder as many people as the government can—and does.
So think twice before you surrender the smallest sliver of freedom, no matter what the pressures or the inducements may be. Safety in exchange for freedom is the government’s oldest con game. And that is why the 10 Republican senators who have signed on for “compromise” gun legislation may be the 10 most disgusting people in America today.”
