            1. Let me say that I also enjoy your perspective on other blogs without getting bogged down on personalities. It’s refreshing to recognize genuine people.

              1. Well that takes a certain sense of confidence and reveals one’s upbringing. I seem to get hung up on trying to change the status quo to more my principles rather than simply move to a dance floor that better suits. So thanks for the example.

              2. hahahaha, thank you. My juke box is a clone of a Wurlitzer model 1015 “Bubbler” and filled with mainly 50’s, limited early 60’s and select 70’s. Much to my wife’s chagrin, I have rarely danced (sober) and too late to start now. Take Care.

        1. We used to live in a community that had tons of trick or treaters! Then we moved to the country and our house is about 600 ft. From the road. I had all my little treat bags fixed and was ready to see all the little kiddos! Lol, we didn’t get a one! So, I understand. I gave all my decorations to my daughter and at least my grandsons can enjoy them.

Hope all is well with you! πŸ˜˜πŸ’– hugs!

          1. I used to take my stuff to my mom’s house–she lived in a typical neighborhood—near the high school–we gave out our candy and sat on her porch dressed up. then for our kids we had a party every year–games, costume contest and my parents and in-laws came–in costume and helped–we had a grand time!

            1. That sounds like fun.
The village we used to live had a bonfire, costume contest for the little ones, cider and donuts! I loved it there and my daughter had good memories of living there. But the yard was so tiny and we wanted a few llamas. So we built a home here. We have fun here too but it’s different. πŸ’–

              1. just cut it out. I waited to get the pattern till I had a chance to measure her properly–patterns differ in sizing from ready made and she was on the edge of 2 sizes. I was thinking I needed the smaller one (sizes up to 12) but with her waist and hips, I need the larger).
they’re having their annual hayride/Halloween party soon, so I gotta get to it…

  1. If someone could please post an update on the prayer wall for me about Chloe.
She is recovering very nicely…saw her over the weekend–she has HSP–her smaller blood vessels were leaking…she was confined to a wheel chair for a brief amount of time, but when we saw her, she was walking and helping with the soccer team practice. She has to have her kidneys monitored for a while–but the disease runs for about 4-6 weeks and she is nearing the end of the period. thank you for all who prayed for her!!

My hubby may need shoulder surgery. Has a slap tear. We are waiting for an appointment with the surgeon.
How is your hubby doing? He has an appointment in December, if I remember correctly.
I am praying for you both.

        1. thank you. he’s had minimal improvement with the daily inhaler so I think he needs the rewiring done on the pacemaker. he really doesn’t want that tho–it’ll be a tough sell.
other than that tho, we’re doing good.
I’ll pray for you guys too—is he in a lot of pain??? sounds painful!

          1. He has pain. But he has medication to help. He hopes that he doesn’t need a shoulder replacement. He has arthritis also. So, that’s up to the surgeon.
I am sorry that your hubby has not improved. I will continue praying. I sure hope that they can figure something out besides surgery.
