One of the most brilliantly colored songbirds in the east, flaming orange and black, sharing the heraldic colors of the coat of arms of 17th-century Lord Baltimore. Widespread east of the Great Plains, Baltimore Orioles are often very common in open woods and groves in summer. Their bag-shaped hanging nests, artfully woven of plant fibers, are familiar sights in the shade trees in towns. This bird was formerly considered to belong to the same species as the western Bullock’s Oriole, under the combined name of Northern Oriole.
Boldly marked black and orange adult male is unlike any other eastern bird. Female brown above, tinged orange below, with white wing-bars, variable black on head. On Great Plains, often interbreeds with Bullock’s Oriole, producing hybrids with intermediate pattern.

Habitat
Open woods, riverside groves, elms, shade trees. Breeds in deciduous or mixed woodland, generally in open woods or edges rather than interior of dense forest. May be common in trees in towns. Often favors elms. Winters mostly in the tropics around forest edge and semi-open country.

Feeding Behavior
Forages by searching for insects among foliage of trees and shrubs. Sometimes flies out to catch insects in midair. Visits flowers for nectar, and will come to sugar-water feeders; also will come to pieces of fruit put out at feeders.
Diet
Insects, berries, nectar. In summer feeds mostly on insects, especially caterpillars, including hairy types avoided by many birds; also eats beetles, grasshoppers, wasps, bugs, and others, plus spiders and snails. Eats many berries and sometimes cultivated fruit. Feeds on nectar and will take sugar-water.
Nesting

Male sings to defend nesting territory. In courtship, male faces female and stretches upright, then bows deeply with tail spread and wings partly open. Nest site is in tall deciduous tree, placed near end of slender drooping branch, usually 20-30′ above the ground but can be 6-60′ up or higher. Nest (built by female, sometimes with help from male) is a hanging pouch, with its rim firmly attached to a branch. Nest is tightly woven of plant fibers, strips of bark, grapevines, grass, yarn, string, Spanish moss, lined with fine grass, plant down, hair.

Good Morning Gina!
this time of year, I hang out the small chains in anticipation of putting out the hummer feeders. A few years ago, i noticed orioles hanging on the empty chains and then when the hummer feeders were out, they’d land on them too. Filly starting filling me in on their habits and I started tying a small red hummer feeder bottom with grape jelly in it on the railing and the orioles found it! They come back every year since.

Reply to MAGA Man
Just think about a trillion a year in fraud, legislated out of Congress, being given to the non-working miscreants in our society, since circa Obama, then get back to me on that. Obama had people working 10 or 20 hours a week with no set schedule so they could not go get another part-time job. This was done at the behest of “corporations.” Fake voters were sent from solid blue counties, given fake jobs by these same “corporations,” registered to vote in red counties and then leave. By the tens of thousands. I saw it with my own eyes. There was a constant flow of people in and out of Lee County, Florida, during the years of 2008-2011. Did you really think Obama won his elections fair and square? Obama completely eviscerated our emergency medical supplies then foisted a World Wide Plandemic™ on us. Decimated our military and turned them all queer. Did the same to our schools. Emptied our reserve fuel supply, cut off all drilling and now “supposed” disgruntled MAGA have soured on President Trump’s economy. Give me a break.

If you want to understand Trump’s on-again, off-again tweets about what he’s going to do to Iran, remember what he said in 2015.
I get it’s easy to criticize Trump.
But it’s more important to understand him:
In a 2015 radio interview with @hughhewitt , Trump repeatedly emphasized that U.S. leaders (and he himself as a potential leader) should avoid being too predictable in foreign policy and military matters, as this telegraphs intentions to adversaries and weakens negotiating or strategic positions.
When pressed on specific foreign policy scenarios (e.g., responses involving China or Middle East groups), Trump declined to detail plans, arguing that unpredictability was a strength:
“I wouldn’t want to tell you, because frankly, they have to, you know, somebody wrote a very good story about me recently, and they said there’s a certain unpredictability about Trump that’s great, and it’s what made him a lot of money and a lot of success.
You don’t want to put, and you don’t want to let people know what you’re going to do with respect to certain things that happen. You don’t want the other side to know.”
He also told the WP: “I don’t want them to know what I’m thinking, does that make sense?
I want people to be guessing … I don’t want people to figure it out.
I don’t want people to know what my plan is.
I have plans. I have plans! But I don’t want to do it.”

Read this carefully. Carney fast-tracked the Grays Bay road project in Nunavut.
$750 million in taxpayer money. It leads to the Izok Lake mine.
Who owns that mine? A Chinese state-owned company.
Your taxes build the road.
China mines the strategic resources from your Arctic.
The same Arctic Carney says we need to defend for sovereignty.
You’re paying to defend territory you’re simultaneously handing to Beijing.
We are compromised.

Dems may well win that district this time…..Omaha area.
“One Democratic House Victory in Nebraska Could Hand Republicans the Presidency — Here’s How”
Gateway Pundit, Ben Kew, Apr. 5, 2026
The Democratic frontrunner, state Sen. John Cavanaugh, would be required to give up his seat in Nebraska’s unicameral legislature if elected to Congress. His replacement would be appointed by the state’s Republican governor, Jim Pillen.
Republicans are currently one seat short of a filibuster-proof supermajority in the legislature. Should they gain that additional seat, they would have the votes needed to advance legislation without Democratic support. That could include changes to Nebraska’s congressional maps, potentially making the 2nd District more favorable to Republicans, as well as efforts to eliminate the state’s split Electoral College system.
Nebraska is one of two states that allocates electoral votes by congressional district. The 2nd District has recently provided Democrats with a single electoral vote, including in the 2024 presidential election, when Kamala Harris carried the district.
In a closely contested national election, that single electoral vote could prove significant. Without the split system, Nebraska would award all of its electoral votes to the statewide winner. Democrats believe they can offset any loss by winning additional legislative seats in upcoming elections.
“We’re prepared that we might lose [Cavanaugh’s] seat. So that means we have to pick up a few more this cycle,” Nebraska Democratic Party chair Jane Kleeb told Politico. In recent years, Democrats have successfully blocked efforts to redraw district boundaries and change how the state allocates its electoral votes. If Republicans secure a supermajority, those constraints would be removed, allowing them to revisit those proposals ahead of the 2028 election cycle.
Meanwhile, the retirement of Don Bacon is no great loss to the Republican Party. Last November, Bacon admitted he also resigned from Congress in protest of President Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine. He denounced the proposal as the “Witkoff Ukrainian surrender plan,” referring to Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, who helped craft it.
However, he said that he intended to honor his “commitment to our constituents to fulfill my term.”

EXCERPT: “A group of immigration law and policy experts, including former senior immigration enforcement officials, has proposed a solution to help the Trump administration implement a mass deportation plan. After more than 14 million illegal border crossers were reported during the Biden administration, and millions more are believed be living illegally in the country, finding them is a monumental task, they argue.
One of President Donald Trump’s campaign promises was to “conduct the largest mass deportation operation in American History.” Of the more than 2.5 million illegal foreign nationals who were removed, the overwhelming majority, 1.9 million, self-deported, The Center Square reported.
Under former Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, border security enforcement was marked by numerous scandals, including questionable hundred million dollar contracts, border wall contracts granted to companies tied to fraud, U.S. citizens who were shot and killed or injured during protests and violence erupting on city streets.
Under new DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, border security advocates are hoping positive changes will come to the agency tasked with securing U.S. borders, implementing national security policies and mass deportation.
In a new 104-page report, the Mass Deportation Coalition has proposed a roadmap to help with deportation. It says deportation is imperative to understanding “what exactly it means to be an American. Misunderstanding America, confusing it for an economic zone or a multicultural population, has led to decades of destructive immigration policies. These have hurt Americans and eroded our understanding of ourselves. America deserves better.”
Coalition members say they “share a devotion to the nation we call home. This requires us to stand up, speak boldly, and fix the existential crisis that is American immigration. Thanks to President Trump, the urgent need to secure the order has been accomplished. Now is the time for step two: removing the many millions of deportable people in America.
“After decades of weak leadership, we finally have a window of opportunity … to make America great again. That window is small. If we do not act – and soon – we will lose our nation. America will cease to mean anything at all.”
The coalition also takes issue with America being defined as a “melting pot … by perpetual cultural transformation.” It points to migrant warfare as a means to destroy the country. While immigration “has played an important role in American history, immigration policy must serve the nation, not replace it,” the coalition argues.
“The United States has reached a moment when clarity is necessary. Either America remains a nation capable of governing its borders and preserving the continuity of its civic life, or it becomes something else entirely: a place defined only by geography and economic opportunity. The choice before us is therefore not simply about immigration policy. It is about whether America will continue to exist as a nation with a distinct character and a shared destiny.”
Many of the recommendations cite concerns raised by the final report of the 9/11 Commission, pointing to the need to identify illegal foreign nationals with terrorism connections……”

BREAKING: DISGRACED former President Barack Hussein Obama has reportedly established a “back channel” and a shadow government to communicate directly with world leaders whose countries are a part of NATO, anticipating a possible Trump administration withdrawal from the alliance. Obama is said to be reassuring his fellow leftist leaders and our so-called allies by forming a “contingency plan” in the event that President Trump does in fact terminate our NATO membership. With Obama recently purchasing a MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR MANSION in The UK and transferring a large chunk of his assets to the country, it appears that he may be orchestrating a GLOBALIST COUP against President Trump and engaging in a CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY to undermine the foreign policy of our duly-elected President. If we had a dollar for every time that Barack Obama has committed TREASON, we’d be as rich as Elon Musk. This man is the worst thing that ever happened to America? ARREST OBAMA NOW!

In an interview with Axios Sunday, Trump said that there’s a “good chance” a deal with Iran will be had, but absent that, “I am blowing up everything over there.”
In the interview, Trump said negotiations are going well, but the Iranians haven’t allowed a final agreement to be reached. Trump has been holding the negotiations through Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey. In the interview, Trump said that the U.S. was close to an agreement to hold direct negotiations a few days ago, but Iran wanted five more days.
That’s when Trump ordered the airstrike Wednesday on a bridge that connects Tehran, the capitol, with northern Iran.”

Just The News: “The Supreme Court on Monday gave the Trump administration a path to dismiss the criminal case against President Trump acolyte Steve Bannon over his failure to respond to congressional subpoenas.
Having the case thrown out would be mostly symbolic, considering Bannon was already convicted and served jail time, according to NBC News.
Bannon, who briefly was a White House political adviser during Trump’s first term before being fired, was convicted in 2022 on two counts of contempt of Congress over his refusal to comply with the subpoenas, which sought documents and testimony related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
The Supreme Court, acting on Bannon’s appeal of his conviction, sent the case back to a district court judge, which erased an appeals court ruling that upheld the jury verdict. In February, the Trump administration, which took over the case from the Biden administration, said it planned to dismiss the case after concluding it was “in the interests of justice,” NBC also reports.”

the most important word in the 14th amendment…”reside”.
FTA
Perhaps because it comes at the end, it has been treated as an afterthought, but careful reading shows how central the term “reside” is. The clause does not say “are born,” “are physically present,” or “pass through on a tourist visa.” Citizenship is granted only to those who actually “reside,” establishing a precondition for the clause’s application, with “reside” carrying a consistent legal meaning across many areas of American law, including taxes, jury duty, voting, school enrollment, in-state tuition, and family law. It refers to an established, settled presence, in other words, a place where you actually live.
During oral arguments at the Supreme Court, “reside” and its significance drew limited discussion. When the term did come up, it was in relation to the related concept of “domicile,” a term that appears repeatedly in Wong Kim Ark (1898), the leading Supreme Court precedent on the question of birthright citizenship. In that case, a man born to Chinese parents who were legally resident in the U.S. was initially denied citizenship. The Supreme Court reversed that decision, applying the 14th Amendment and emphasizing that his parents had “permanent domicile and residence in the United States.”
…
Birth tourism, especially from China, has grown into a large industry. Agencies market packages to pregnant women who travel to the United States in their third trimester, deliver a child, get a U.S. passport, and fly home. These people do not reside in the United States by any definition or any stretch of the imagination. There is no residency, no home, no lease or mortgage, no driver’s license, no vehicle registration, no neighbors, no family doctor, no bank accounts, no pets, and no children in school. The mother arrives on a tourist visa and leaves with a child. Their connection to the United States begins at the arrival gate and ends at the departure terminal on the return flight.
Even under the notoriously aggressive California Franchise Tax Board, people are not considered residents if they are in California temporarily or for a transitory purpose, exactly like birth tourists.

EXCERPT: “…..I’m not saying this is right. I’m saying this is reality. You can either accept reality and work around it to win, or you can be mad. Personally, I prefer to channel my energy into victory.
And we can have victory. The arguments were very interesting because they set the stage for some statutory fixes that could pass constitutional muster. We’re not going to get a constitutional amendment that is going to change things in the foreseeable future, but by raising these arguments and spotlighting some of the practical consequences of birthright citizenship,
Trump has set the stage for legislation that can address some of these issues while remaining in compliance with the birthright citizenship interpretation of the 14th Amendment.
For instance, you remember a lot of the arguments regarding the clause “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” There may be ways to craft legislation to define and expand or constrict that concept. One justice offered a very interesting hypothetical, which was that a child of two Iranian parents is born in the United States, but the government of Iran considers him a citizen who owes it military service. Is he subject to the jurisdiction of the United States?
But how about Iran? This concerns his allegiance. And that’s a good question. Does a foreign country considering you a citizen who owes it duties mean you don’t owe allegiance to the United States?
Perhaps we can craft a law where somebody who is the child of people who are present here legally is not considered to have allegiance to a foreign government, regardless of what the government says, but a child of people who are here illegally retains their allegiance to their parents’ homeland. After all, nobody disputes that ambassadors’ children are not American citizens because they are not under the jurisdiction of the United States. This bears further attention.
We also saw concerns about birth tourism, particularly Chinese women who come here for a week, drop a brat, then head back to Beijing with a Manchurian citizen. I hate saying it, but Justice Roberts was right – the existence of this unforeseen problem (because they didn’t have jets that could whisk a mom into America and back to China when the amendment was drafted) does not change what the text of the Constitution says.
We don’t do the living Constitution thing where the Constitution changes over time by some sort of mysterious process. You change the Constitution by amending it. It might be interesting to see how a statute that says a person born to foreign parents in the United States and then immediately taken away for an extended period is not truly under the jurisdiction of the United States fares before the Court.
You can also change things with immigration laws and regulations governing foreigners. Why are we offering visas to pregnant Chinese women? Or any pregnant foreign women? Maybe we make birth tourism a crime. And maybe we could prioritize removing pregnant illegal aliens.
We could also impose a civil penalty for being an illegal alien who gives birth to an American citizen by birthright citizenship, such as a fine or a perpetual ban on legal presence. We should certainly take pregnant women in custody who are near term and send them to Guantánamo Bay, where they can give birth on Cuban soil. Other folks have other intriguing ideas.
So, there are practical steps we can take to ameliorate some of these problems. But the big problem is the birthright citizenship interpretation of the 14th Amendment. Sadly, that’s not going to get fixed by this case. It just isn’t. But we’ve started a discussion of the subject. We’ve started the fight. And now we just have to finish it.
But it’s not going to help by freaking out, being demoralized, blackpilling, or whining about how we didn’t get our way this time. If you’re not paying attention, let me help you. We’re winning about 90% of our cases. We lost tariffs, sort of, and we are going to lose this, sort of. We’ve won everything else. The Trump Justice Department’s track record is astonishing.
There’s a saying among trial lawyers that if you never lose, it’s because you never try cases. If we’re pushing the envelope, sometimes we’re going to push until the envelope tears. That’s a good thing. So, don’t be discouraged. We’re never going to win all our court cases. Sometimes we’re going to lose, and it’s going to hurt. So what? Welcome to real life. The answer isn’t to throw up our hands in despair. The answer is to keep fighting.”

“This is from the California Post – The US rescued a missing F-15E airman deep inside Iran with an incredibly complex and daring mission that involved SEAL Team 6, a CIA ruse, a hastily constructed forward air strip in hostile territory, and patrols of friendly aircraft that gave the Air Force colonel cover.
A life-or-death race between US and Iranian forces to find the “seriously injured” weapons officer outside Isfahan over two days culminated in the crew member’s extraction by America’s most elite commandos and a firefight with local militias that were hunting for him.
The unnamed officer, who was shot down on Good Friday in southwestern Iran, hid out in the Zagros Mountains and managed to climb a 7,000-foot ridge to evade capture for 36 hours with just a handgun for defense while American MQ-9 Reaper drones pounded nearby Iranian forces with missiles if they got close to his position.
A US Air Force landing strip was set up close to the city, which houses many of Iran’s missile and army bases, nuclear facilities, and the last of its fleet of F-14 fighter jets.
Two of the aircraft — believed to be MC-130J Commando IIs, specialized, high-tech transport planes — became stuck at the forward airfield in Iran, and three more aircraft were dispatched to pick up the US forces left stranded there, according to the Times. The two MC-130Js — each worth around $100 million — were demolished in place so as not to fall into enemy hands.”

“A little-noticed clause in sweeping changes to Germany’s military service policy has caused uproar after it emerged that the law requires men aged up to 45 to get permission from the armed forces before any significant stay abroad, even in peacetime.
The legislation, which went into effect on 1 January, aims to bolster the military and demands all 18-year-old men fill out a questionnaire to gauge their suitability to serve in the armed forces, but stops short of conscription.
If the “modernised” model fails to pull in enough recruits, parliament will be compelled to discuss the reintroduction of compulsory service, the defence minister, Boris Pistorius, said as the legislation passed the lower house of the Bundestag in December.
The fine print, which went largely under the radar until a media report called attention to it this week, says men aged 17 to 45 would have to apply for authorisation to leave Germany for more than three months.

She circled back to that quite a few times during our conversation…lol. “Trump Setting Up Global Transformation”
Clandestine, Apr 06, 2026
(VIDEO)
“There it is again! 👀 Trump calls NATO a “paper tiger,” then criticizes South Korea, Japan, and Australia, for not helping us, despite benefiting from our protection. I’ve been suggesting that Trump is setting up a withdrawal of our military footprint abroad, and will consolidate our military presence to the Western hemisphere. Trump appears to be laying the ground work.
I think the end goal is to withdraw from NATO, which will in turn end the war between Ukraine/Russia, then bring all the troops home to our region, then leave the areas of influence in the hands of the nations in each respective region. After Deep State destabilization assets, i.e. terrorists/cartels, have been neutralized, the need for our military presence around the globe will no longer be necessary.
I think Trump is leveraging the situation in Iran, to show the public why we need to withdraw from NATO and bring the troops home from Germany, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and more.
I think Trump is using Iran to end the Cold War between the US and Russia/China, and prevent full-scale WW3 from ever happening in the future. Trump wants to make a deal with Russia and China, and this surely will include removing our standing armies from their doorstep.
I think Trump is using Iran to reshape the global order to a “multi-polar world”, where a variety of nations hold spheres of influence, as opposed to the complete US hegemony. A world where we are allies/trade partners with Russia and China, not enemies on a collision course for world war.
I think we are witnessing a historic global transformation.”
