DIY: Butterfly Garden Markers

Easy DIY Butterfly Garden Markers Materials:

Plastic Butterflies
Wire Hangers
Wire Cutters
Black Outdoor Paint
Foam Paint Brush
White or Black Permanent Marker
Waterproof Glue

Easy DIY Butterfly Garden Markers Instructions:

Cut the straight part of a wire hanger for each butterfly marker. The length of a wire hanger is just about perfect for a garden marker, and these markers are an excellent way to use up wire hangers gathered from dry cleaning.

Use black outdoor paint to paint the wires black. You don’t have to do this step, but I liked how the black looked in the garden better than the white.

Once the paint dries, flip the butterflies over and add a line of glue across the butterfly bodies.

Stick a wire into the glue, then add another layer to seal the wire inside the glue.
Wait for 24 hours for the glue to completely dry.

Once the glue is dry, write the name of your plants on the wings of the butterflies using a permanent marker.

If you grow something else later, you can wipe away the marker with a rubbing alcohol wipe and write in a different name for the new plant.

    1. Good Morning!

30*, winds from the south. Cloudy.

My area usually gets about 60″ of snow, this year we got 96″! I have a snowplow guy for the driveway, I shovel “cleanup” and paths/ walkways. Thinking of getting a small battery blower 😁

Always look forward to seeing the first butterflies, monarchs. 🦋

      God bless 🙏 take care.

      1. Good Morning Gina!
hubby has a tractor with a plow for the driveway–it’s almost a half mile long.
I only have to shovel off the deck and the ramp.
You’re so lucky to have butterflies!! We don’t have a lot a flowers here (the deer find them rather tasty) only the ones i put inside the fenced in vegetable garden. The hummingbirds love the marigolds though!
God Bless you as well! Have a great day!

also, on Monday, there was a ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in the case Zorn vs Linton.

Here is a link to the ruling:
    https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf/25-297_bqm2.pdf

It was during the inauguration of the Vermont governor there were protestors that were present in the capitol building; After the event protestors were told they needed to leave the State capitol building as it was closing. A protestor refused to leave and a law enforcement officer told the protestor if she didn’t stand up and leave he would remove her by force which, she refused to comply and the officer used force by lifting her up by her arm, to remove her. She sued saying the officer used excessive force and that the officer should not be covered by qualified immunity. The lower court agreed, saying the officer was not covered by qualified immunity. The Supreme Court reversed that ruling saying he was indeed covered by qualified immunity.

The price we pay for one illegal alien…

Feds charge former Bay Area resident with $90 million in health care fraud

    Excerpt:

A 38-year-old Azerbaijani who had lived in the Bay Area used a complex health care fraud scheme to steal more than $90 million in government funds, federal prosecutors said Friday.

A federal jury handed down an indictment against Anar Rustamov, an Azerbaijani citizen who prosecutors said entered the U.S. illegally and helped orchestrate a scheme that involved filing thousands of false claims for medical equipment with the Medicare Advantage program. He is charged with 14 counts of aiding and abetting health care fraud and money laundering

Plans For Massive Muslim Community In Texas Ends After Daily Caller Investigation, Rep. Lance Gooden Confirms

    https://dailycaller.com/2026/03/23/rooke-muslim-sustainable-city-texas-kaufman-county-see-holding-kimley-horn-paxton-epic-the-meadow/

Developers and local officials canceled a proposal for a new Muslim-based city in rural Texas, according to Republican Rep. Lance Gooden, after a Daily Caller investigation reported on the plans and subsequent meetings.

Kaufman County, Texas, residents became aware in early February that a potential city was going to be built in their backyard and accused local officials of being very secretive about the deal. The Daily Caller report, and locals’ allegations that the project was an unlawful attempt to establish a “sharia city,” led Attorney General Ken Paxton to announce Feb. 9 that his office launched a formal investigation.

A resident, speaking anonymously to the Caller in February, feared that the new community was a ruse to bring around 20,000 Arab residents to rural Texas after seeing construction of the highly contentious East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC City or The Meadow). They worried about the social impact of having this community in their area and the demand on the local water supply that three new water districts would require.

  5. Just The News: “The State Department Sunday night issued a global caution alert to Americans who are traveling or stationed overseas amid an ongoing regional conflict in the Middle East. The U.S. and Israel began a weeks-long conflict against Iran late last month, which resulted in the death of former Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The department said it issued the global alert because Iran has retaliated against the U.S. and Israel by hitting American bases in the region and warned Iran or its proxy groups could expand its efforts to impact U.S. facilities in other countries.

“The Department of State advises Americans worldwide, and especially in the Middle East, to exercise increased caution,” the department said in the alert. “Groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or locations associated with the United States and/or Americans throughout the world.”

The department also noted that some U.S. consulates and embassies have already been targeted and warned that air travel could be disrupted because of airspace closures. The warning comes as Americans prepare for Spring Break travel.”

  6. Just The News: “President Donald Trump suggested Monday that the Senate merges two of his biggest legislative priorities into one mega bill that would end the ongoing partial government shutdown.

The major bill would combine the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act, which requires people to present proof of citizenship to register to vote and requires Americans to show ID when voting, and the final appropriations bill that would fund the Department of Homeland Security through September.

The president made the suggestion at a roundtable in Memphis, Tennessee, to tout the successes of the Memphis Safe Task Force, which comes as the Senate continues its month-long stalemate.

“We want voter ID, we want proof of citizenship as part of our funding,” Trump said. “We want to merge them so that we can get the great, big, beautiful bill in action. I’m suggesting very strongly that the Republicans, in going for the SAVE America Act, that you weld it into exactly this because voter ID is part of Homeland Security.

“Think of it. We’re talking about two separate items, but they’re really the same,” he continued. “Voter ID is part of Homeland Security. Proof of citizenship is part of homeland security. So I think it should be welded in. I think it should be together.”

The suggestion comes as airports nationwide experience a Transportation Security Administration staffing shortage because workers are not being paid amid the shutdown. President Trump has sent Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to airports to assist the TSA with managing crowds and other duties.”

  7. Just The News: “The Defense Department announced Monday that it has changed protocols for its media briefing room that includes the relocation of reporters to workspace outside the Pentagon, amid the agency’s appeal of a court decision on media access.

U.S. District Court Judge Paul Friedman on Friday dismissed parts of the Pentagon’s new guidelines released last year and ordered it to restore the press passes of seven journalists for the New York Times, which brought the lawsuit challenging the guidelines.

The agency said that in the interim, without conceding the validity of the court’s analysis, it has complied with the court’s order while preserving it’s “legitimate security interests and its statutory obligation.”

In the interim, the department will close the correspondents’ corridor within the Pentagon and relocate their workspace to an annex facility outside the Pentagon that is still under construction.

The new guidelines, to which numerous news outlets objected, limit journalists’ movement inside the Pentagon, restrict their access to officials and require them to sign a pledge to not solicit, access or publish unauthorized information, even if unclassified.”

  9. Just The News: “Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis is opening the door to another presidential bid.  (R) said in an interview with Sean Hannity “we’ll see” about a future presidential bid.

“Will you run for president again?” he was asked by conservative news commentator and Fox News personality Sean Hanity, in a clip released Monday of an episode Tuesday of the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast, according to the Miami Herald. DeSantis, whose gubernatorial term ends next year, said, “We’ll see.”

The GOP governor lost badly in his party’s primary two years ago to eventual President Donald Trump. He only received 21% of the vote in the Iowa caucuses, then dropped out of the race before the primary in New Hampshire.

“In Iowa, the people that voted for Trump, if he wasn’t running, I would have gotten like 90% of those people,” DeSantis said. “They were conservative voters.” Voters in Iowa “didn’t want the non-conservative,” DeSantis said. “They wanted me.”

“But the timing didn’t work out, obviously, for that. So, you just got to see what happens,” he added.”

          1. “An expired U.S. passport is not acceptable as a form of identification for voting in Pennsylvania.

According to Pennsylvania’s voter ID guidelines, a U.S. passport must be current and valid to be accepted.  Expired passports, even if only recently expired, do not meet the requirements. Acceptable forms of photo ID include a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license or PennDOT ID card, a U.S. passport that has not expired, a U.S. military ID, or a student or employee ID from an accredited Pennsylvania institution, provided they include a name, photo, and current expiration date.

If you do not have a valid photo ID, you may use a non-photo ID that includes your name and current address, such as a recent utility bill, bank statement, or government check. Alternatively, you can vote provisionally if you cannot provide acceptable ID.”

          2. “No, a Pennsylvania driver’s license does not need a gold star to vote.

Pennsylvania is a non-strict voter ID state, meaning you are not required to show a photo ID to vote in person, except under specific circumstances.  The gold star on a driver’s license indicates that the ID is REAL ID-compliant, which is required for federal purposes like boarding domestic flights or entering federal facilities starting May 7, 2025.

However, REAL ID status is not required for voting in Pennsylvania.  You can use your standard Pennsylvania driver’s license (with or without a gold star) as a form of ID when voting, but it is not mandatory. Acceptable forms of ID for voting include:

            • Pennsylvania driver’s license or state ID card (with or without gold star)
            • U.S. passport
            • Military ID
            • Non-photo ID with your name and current address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement)

First-time voters at a polling place may be asked to show proof of identification, but this can be either a photo or non-photo ID. If you do not have ID, you can still vote by casting a provisional ballot.”

  10. I couldn’t get a hold of Mom earlier so I thought she was getting her hair trimmed, but she was at a “religious meeting”. They had “generic” people talking about the bile and Jesus and they all recired the Lord’s Prayer and then Mom won a religious medal.

It seems they are getting her to go to more group activities.

  12. “The Federal Communications Commission just banned the sale of any new Wi-Fi routers that are not US-made, citing national security

Late on Monday afternoon, the FCC announced the order, based on a White House determination that foreign-made routers introduce “supply chain vulnerabilities” that hackers and cyberspies can exploit. Specifically, the commission updated its “covered list,” which acts as a blacklist of telecom equipment deemed to pose an unacceptable risk to US national security. It now includes “all consumer-grade routers produced in foreign countries.”

Having taken this action, the FCC stresses, “This action does not affect any previously purchased consumer-grade routers. Consumers can continue to use any router they have already lawfully purchased or acquired.”

“The Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church, also known as St. Curvy Church, is a historic church located at 8501 Woodward Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. It was designed by architect Sidney Rose Badgley and completed in 1911. The church is an example of Gothic Revival architecture and features intricate stonework, stained glass windows, and a tall spire.

Throughout its history, the Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church played an important role in the religious and social life of Detroit. It was known for its vibrant congregation and active community outreach programs However, the church faced challenges in the latter half of the 20th century, as Detroit experienced economic decline and population loss.

The congregation dwindled, and the building eventually fell into disrepair. Due to financial difficulties, the Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church was closed in 2005. Since then, it has been left vacant and has suffered from neglect.”

  15. The ‘Disinformation Dozen’: Targeted by Government, Maligned by Media. Where Are They Today?

It’s been six years since the Center for Countering Digital Hate published the “Disinformation Dozen’ list of “leading online anti-vaxxers.” The Defender interviewed six of the 12 people on the list. They shared how being included on the list affected their businesses, their relationships and their constitutional right to freedom of speech.

    by Michael Nevradakis, Ph.D., March 24, 2026

    six members and word "disinformation"

EXCERPT: “In March 2021, one year into the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) published its list of “leading online anti-vaxxers,” dubbed “The Disinformation Dozen.” The impact was immediate. Social media giants began deplatforming some of the people on the list.

Key Biden administration officials publicly referenced the list and its members, and accused them of spreading dangerous “misinformation” and “disinformation.”

The “Twitter Files,” released in 2022 and 2023, showed that Big Tech worked with the government to censor not only those on the “Disinformation Dozen” list, but also anyone with a significant online following who published content that contradicted the official COVID-19 narrative.

That included Children’s Health Defense (CHD), which on Aug. 17, 2022, was kicked off major social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. CHD wasn’t on the “Disinformation Dozen” list — but its founder and then-chairman, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was. “When the ‘Disinformation Dozen’ list was published, Kennedy was still chairman of CHD,” said CHD CEO Mary Holland. “Silencing his voice meant silencing ours — because at the time, his name was synonymous with that of CHD, the organization he founded and led.”

When Kennedy left CHD to run for U.S. president, it was no longer possible for the government and the CCDH to censor him. “His social media channels were restored,” Holland said. “But to this day, CHD is still being censored.”

Much has changed since 2021. Kennedy is now U.S. health secretary, leading the Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) agenda. Many of the “Disinformation Dozen” continue to actively write, produce documentaries and advocate for health freedom. Social media platforms and CEOs, including Mark Zuckerberg, have since acknowledged that they censored the list’s members at the Biden administration’s request.

Some media outlets have walked back previous negative coverage of the list’s members.

What about the originator of the “Disinformation Dozen” list? Internal documents leaked in 2024 showed that CCDH planned to launch “black ops” against Kennedy. The group has been linked to the Democratic Party and to “dark money” networks — including to billionaire financier George Soros and his Open Society Foundations.

CCDH is now the subject of a congressional investigation. Its CEO, Imran Ahmed — tied to key figures in the U.K. government, including some with links to financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — is facing deportation from the U.S…..”
