    How did you do?

    ANSWERS:

    1. 46 million
    2. Vinnie Joyce from Nitta Yuma, Mississippi, sent President Coolidge a live raccoon to serve for Thanksgiving dinner. But instead of putting it on the menu, Coolidge adopted the raccoon as a family pet and named it Rebecca!
    1. 50 million (estimated).
    2. They were sent to Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Why, you ask? To serve as the honorary grand marshals of Disney’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, of course.
    3. A turducken is a deboned chicken placed inside a deboned duck, placed inside a deboned turkey. It’s a lot of poultry! Chef Paul Prudhomme is believed to have invented the dish and served it at his New Orleans restaurant, K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen.
    1. Each year, Butterball’s experts take over 100,000 calls about turkey preparation during November and December.
    2. The first Turkey Trot was established in 1896 in Buffalo, New York. A mere six runners showed up to participate. Since then, the race has become decidedly more popular, with more than a million participants showing up for Turkey Trots across the nation.
    3. The first Thanksgiving feast took place in 1621, and it was more than just a single meal. It was a celebration that lasted three days.
    4. Green bean casserole.
    1. Minnesota
    2. They were released. In 1927, after Felix the Cat floated down the streets of New York as the first-ever parade balloon, there wasn’t any protocol in place for deflating them. So once the parade was over, the balloons were simply let go. This strategy proved to be ineffective, as most of the balloons popped right after being released.
    3. Orlando, Florida

    Till next time…stay sharp!

      1. Good morning, Pat! Still not bad here. 43 this morning but still too dark to see the sky. I think it’s cloudy since I can usually see some lightening in the east but not today. I used one of those window insulation kits on my glass French doors onto the patio yesterday. I can already feel the difference! Wheezer was here and ate most of the tuna overnight.

    3. EXCERPT: “President Donald Trump’s second term has brought a sense of stability, hope and growth for America’s small businesses. And ahead of chilly weather sweeping much of the country, recent data shows that Trump’s Main Street initiatives are still feeling warm, despite a slight dip in October.

The American economy enjoys the products and services of the 34.8 million small businesses that existed here in 2024, which represent a staggering 99.9% of all businesses operating nationwide. The beginning of the year showed increased optimism that, while dipping in October, is still high.

According to the early 2025 data, the U.S. is now home to 36.2 million small businesses that employ nearly 46% of the private-sector workforce. From March 2023 to March 2024, these businesses generated 9 out of every 10 net new jobs, opening 1.1 million new establishments and adding a net 1.2 million positions. Despite challenges like inflation and staffing, optimism and growth showed promise in the same data set. A staggering 67% of small business owners anticipate higher profits to close out 2025, while 66% forecast increases in sales due to inflation cooling and the growing optimism and anticipation of further interest rate cuts.

The data also showed that 73% of small business owners reported being very, somewhat or cautiously optimistic about their entity’s viability. Last month, small business owners showed only a slight dip in confidence, with the National Federation of Independent Business Index falling 0.6% to 98.2—still above its 52-year average.

Trump has launched a number of initiatives to boost American businesses. Supercharging the Small Business Administration by launching his Made in America push kills more than $100 billion in red tape, much of which had weighed the heaviest on smaller manufacturers. Paired with tariffs that seek to level the playing field and new tax breaks for companies that keep production at home, these changes are giving entrepreneurs lower costs and greater freedom to operate. The proof is in the numbers: small-business confidence has soared to its highest level in over five decades, driving a wave of new hiring and expansion…..”

    4. Just The News: “A U.S. Marshall operation has resulted in the rescue of 122 children in Florida, according to state Attorney General James Uthmeier. The statewide rescue operation, “Operation Home for the Holidays,” was one of the largest child-recovery operations in U.S. history, Uthmeier said at a news conference on Monday.

He also issued a warning to those preying on children. “By now you should know if you come into Florida and you want to lay a finger on our kids, if you want to prey upon them, if you want to groom them, if you want to abuse them, everybody up here is coming for you with everything we’ve got. “We’re going to lock you up for as long as possible. Where eligible for child sex battery, we will indeed seek the death penalty,” he said.

This operation spanned across Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville and Fort Myers. It took place over a period of two weeks, involving a multi-disciplinary and multiagency task force looking for vulnerable youth in Central Florida.

Marshals located and rescued 57 children in the Tampa Bay region, 14 in Orlando, 22 in Jacksonville, and 29 in Fort Myers, authorities said. Children rescued were between the ages of 23 months and 17 years old. Many “had experienced various levels of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or exposure to other criminal activity,” authorities said.

Authorities said they have so far made six felony arrests; additional charges are expected. Investigations are ongoing. The operation “highlights the strength and diligence of Florida’s Law Enforcement,” Uthmeier said. “Many of these kids have been victimized in unspeakable ways. We will prosecute their abusers to the fullest extent of the law.”

U.S. Marshal for the Middle District of Florida Bill Berger said the operation was built “on the wants and needs of our communities. We are honored to play a leading role in answering those calls.”

Investigators used real-time intelligence and field operations to locate the missing children, Uthmeier said. Once found, they employed “rapid access to child-focused services,” involving state child protective services agencies, victim advocates and child welfare specialists who coordinated with law enforcement partners to provide immediate resources to the rescued children.

The AG’s Office of Statewide Prosecution is prosecuting multiple felony cases stemming from the operation, including crimes involving sexual battery on a child and custodial interference. The operation was the second in four months.

In June, the U.S. Marshal’s Office led Operation Dragon Eye in the Tampa Bay Area. The AG’s Office of Statewide Prosecution provided legal counsel; 20 federal, state and local agencies were involved. The operation resulted in more than 60 children being rescued, The Center Square reported.”

    5. Just The News: “O.J. Simpson’s estate has agreed to pay $58 million to Ron Goldman’s father after a court order.

Simpson, a football star acquitted of the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, was found liable for their deaths in a California civil case and ordered to pay the families $33.5 million in 1997. A Las Vegas judge in 2021 ordered Simpson to pay the Goldmans nearly $58 million, The Hill news outlet reported Monday.

Simpson died on April 10, 2024, in Las Vegas at the age of 76 from prostate cancer, and neither he nor his estate ever paid the $58 million. After Simpson’s death, Fred Goldman, who is Ron Goldman’s father, filed a creditor’s claim against the estate in Clark County District Court.

A probate judge is overseeing a case to settle parts of Simpson’s estate and trust, and according to court documents filed Friday, the estate approved the judge’s nearly $58 million figure, plus interest.

“The executor will continue to work with Claimant Goldman on a more accurate accounting of interest accumulation based on the variable rate nature of the Nevada judgment interest computation, either through a stipulation or a petition for compromise,” documents said.”

Civil law, in contrast, deals with disputes between individuals, organizations, or entities over rights, obligations, and liabilities, such as in contracts, torts, family matters, or property disputes, and typically results in remedies like damages or specific performance rather than criminal penalties.”

    7. Just The News: “Former Democratic Treasury Secretary Larry Summers on Monday announced that he was stepping back from public life after questionable emails between him and the late-convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were released last week.

The House Oversight Committee released a trove of emails and documents last week between Epstein and several prominent politicians and former government employees, including Summers, who served under former President Bill Clinton.

Summers’ emails with Epstein revealed the former Cabinet official sought the late-financier’s advice on pursuing a woman he referred to as his mentee, and Epstein in an email referred to himself as Summers’ “wing man,” Politico reported.

The former secretary said that he was ashamed of his relationship and ties to Epstein. He also said he would be stepping back from public life but did not specifically comment on his position on the board of OpenAI or at Bloomberg.

“I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused,” Summers said. “I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein. While continuing to fulfill my teaching obligations, I will be stepping back from public commitments as one part of my broader effort to rebuild trust and repair relationships with the people closest to me,” he added.

Summers is currently a tenured professor at Harvard University, which has not commented on his ties to Epstein so far.

The former secretary has not been accused of any wrongdoing, but acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton is expected to lead an investigation into Epstein’s alleged ties to prominent Democrats.”

    8. “EPA’s Proposed WOTUS Rule Aims To Keep Feds Out Of The Puddle-Monitoring Business — The soon-to-be-replaced significant nexus rule meant a ditch in a rainstorm or pooling water that occurs only in the rainy season could be grounds for the federal government preventing land use.”

The Federalist, By: Beth Brelje, November 18, 2025

      EPA Zeldin

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The Trump administration is about to curb an overzealous Obama-era environmental regulation by revising the definition of “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) under the Clean Water Act.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin and Adam Telle, assistant secretary of the Army for Civil Works, introduced a proposed WOTUS rule change Monday that is meant to establish a clear, durable definition of the rule that won’t be changed every time a new administration comes in. There will be 45 days of public comment on the proposed rule once it is published.

A rule change was ordered in 2023 after the U.S. Supreme Court decision on Sackett v. EPA. The Biden administration issued an amended WOTUS rule that year, but that action did not allow for public input and failed to fully implement the court’s direction to conform to the court’s new, limited interpretation of WOTUS, according to an EPA press release.

To understand how all this relates to land use and puddles of water that develop during heavy rains, it helps to go back to 2015, when the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers promulgated the Clean Water Rule, which included the “significant nexus” standard. It called for protection of all waters with a significant nexus to “downstream traditional navigable waters.” The result was that a lot of land that was usable before the rule became useless.

In Sackett v. EPA, the Sacketts bought a residential lot but were prevented from building a house on it because the land had wetlands leading to a creek that led to a lake. The EPA decided the wetlands were considered a “significant nexus” of the navigable WOTUS. At one point, the EPA threatened the Sacketts with $40,000-a-day fines. But the Supreme Court ruled in their favor in 2023.

The significant nexus rule meant that a ditch in a rainstorm, a tiny creek that only occasionally appears, or pooling water that occurs only in the rainy season could prevent land use. The definition of WOTUS has been unclear, and the consequences for landowners were immense, especially in agriculture.

“For too long there’s been a great deal of uncertainty about this term, Waters of the United States Rule. Unfortunately, it left many people holding the bag — farmers, contractors, small business owners — guessing whether their ephemeral stream or a backyard ditch was going to be classified as a Waters of the United States Rule, and potentially subject them to significant penalties,” West Virginia Gov. Patrick James Morrisey said Monday in Washington, D.C., during an event promoting the proposed rule. He called the old rule a “textbook example of federal overreach.”

According to a press release, these are the key proposed revisions:

      •Defining key terms like “relatively permanent,” “continuous surface connection,” and “tributary” to appropriately delineate the scope of WOTUS consistent with the Clean Water Act and Supreme Court precedent;

      •Establishing that jurisdictional tributaries must connect to traditional navigable waters either directly or through other features that provide predictable and consistent flow;

      •Reaffirming that wetlands must be indistinguishable from jurisdictional waters through a continuous surface connection, which means that they must touch a jurisdictional water and hold surface water for a requisite duration year after year;

      •Strengthening state and tribal decision-making authority by providing clear regulatory guidelines while recognizing their expertise in local land and water resources;

•Preserving and clarifying exclusions for certain ditches, prior converted cropland, and waste treatment systems; Adding a new exclusion for groundwater; and

•Incorporating locally familiar terminology, such as “wet season,” to help determine whether a water body qualifies as WOTUS.

Zeldin said Monday that he expects the proposed simplified WOTUS definition will bring relief and happiness to landowners who have been looking for a “simple, prescriptive definition that the whole country can operate off of, and would allow individuals to know whether or not there’s a Water of the United States without having to go hire an attorney or a consultant — having to pay someone to tell them.”

“Trump Welcomes Saudi Crown MBS to White House”

      Clandestine, Nov 18, 2025

“The world doesn’t know it yet, but the relationship between Trump and MBS will be remembered as the alliance that changed the world. Think sword dance 2017. A month after Trump’s visit, King Salman rescinded the Crown from Muhammad bin Nayef, in favor of MBS.

This led to the infamous Saudi corruption purge of 2017 and consolidation of power/money within the Saudi royal family. Nayef and his faction were essentially neutralized.

Why is this significant to the US? Because in 2015, Trump himself accused the Nayef faction, via Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, of buying/controlling US politicians.

Trump, along with King Salman and MBS, took out the corrupt faction within the Saudi royal family, and have been working together ever since to create a new world and peaceful Middle East, which included neutralizing Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

And the world had no idea it was happening.”

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is facing fresh scrutiny after WIRED obtained over 1,600 documents revealing he operated an illegal school at his Palo Alto compound for years, sparking a neighborhood revolt. The “Bicken Ben School,” named after a family chicken, operated without permits while neighbors complained about preferential treatment from city officials.

The tech world’s most powerful neighborhood just got a lot more interesting. Mark Zuckerberg has been quietly building an empire in Palo Alto’s exclusive Crescent Park area, but his latest venture – an illegal school named after a pet chicken – has his affluent neighbors up in arms.

Caroline Haskins at WIRED just dropped a bombshell investigation backed by 1,665 pages of city documents that paint a picture of Silicon Valley royalty playing by different rules. The “Bicken Ben School” – yes, really named after one of the Zuckerberg family’s chickens – operated without proper permits from their sprawling compound that now spans 11 formerly separate properties.

The timeline is particularly damning. While California Department of Education records claim the school opened in October 2022, neighbors spotted operations as early as 2021. The school’s director had already updated her LinkedIn profile two and a half years before the official opening date, suggesting this wasn’t exactly a spur-of-the-moment educational experiment.

What makes this story fascinating isn’t just the regulatory violations – it’s the pattern of behavior that’s been building for nearly a decade. Since 2016, neighbors have been documenting complaints about Zuckerberg’s expanding presence in their quiet residential enclave. Construction noise, intrusive security details, staff traffic, and parking issues have turned what should be a peaceful neighborhood into what feels like a corporate campus.

One particularly telling message from frustrated neighbors to the Zuckerberg family office reads: “Ideally, stop, or at a minimum, give us an extended break from the acquisition, demolition, and construction cycle, to let the neighborhood recover from the last eight years of disruption.” That’s the kind of plea you’d expect from residents dealing with major infrastructure projects, not a neighbor’s house renovations.

The school itself appears to have been created to serve the compound’s residents – essentially a private educational facility masquerading as a home-based operation. Under Palo Alto’s residential zoning codes, operating such a facility requires specific permits and compliance with various safety and operational standards. The documents suggest these requirements were simply ignored.

What’s particularly striking is the alleged preferential treatment from city officials. Multiple neighbors expressed frustration that their complaints weren’t being addressed with the urgency or effectiveness they expected. When you’re paying millions for a home in one of America’s most expensive neighborhoods, the expectation is that zoning laws apply equally to everyone – even tech billionaires.

This isn’t Zuckerberg’s first brush with neighborhood tensions. His 2013 purchase of four homes surrounding his original property sparked concerns about market manipulation and community disruption. The pattern suggests a systematic approach to creating a private compound that operates more like a corporate facility than a residential property.

The timing couldn’t be more interesting for Meta. As the company faces increasing scrutiny over its business practices and regulatory compliance, having its CEO embroiled in local zoning violations creates an uncomfortable parallel. If Meta is asking users to trust it with their data and governments to trust it with platform governance, what message does it send when its leader can’t follow basic municipal regulations?

The documents also reveal the broader challenge of tech wealth concentration in Silicon Valley communities. When a single individual can acquire entire neighborhood blocks and operate private institutions without oversight, it raises questions about how local governance adapts to extreme wealth inequality.

For neighboring residents who’ve watched their quiet street transform into what feels like a tech campus, the school represents a final straw. They’re not just dealing with construction noise or parking issues anymore – they’re watching their residential neighborhood become a private corporate compound with its own educational institution.

The story highlights a broader trend of tech executives creating elaborate personal compounds that blur the lines between private residences and commercial operations. From Elon Musk’s Texas facilities to Larry Ellison’s Hawaiian island, Silicon Valley’s ultra-wealthy are increasingly creating private kingdoms that operate outside traditional community structures.

The Bicken Ben School saga represents more than just a zoning violation – it’s a window into how extreme tech wealth can reshape entire communities. As Silicon Valley’s elite create increasingly elaborate private compounds, local governments and residents are grappling with new challenges around accountability and community integration. For Zuckerberg, this episode adds another layer to questions about whether tech leaders believe rules apply to them the same way they apply to everyone else.

      1. Same-same in Hawaii: “Mark Zuckerberg is expanding his private estate, known as Ko’olau Ranch, on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, which has grown to over 2,300 acres through a series of land purchases, including a recent acquisition of 962 acres for an estimated $65 million. The compound, initially purchased in 2014, is now one of the largest private landholdings in Hawaii and is valued at approximately $300 million.

Construction on the 1,400-acre property, located on the island’s North Shore, has been underway for over a decade and includes two grand mansions totaling 57,000 square feet, multiple guest houses, treehouses connected by rope bridges, a gym with pools and a tennis court, and a network of underground tunnels.

A central feature is a 5,000-square-foot underground shelter equipped with living space, a mechanical room, an escape hatch, and blast-resistant doors, which Zuckerberg has stated is not a “doomsday bunker” but rather a secure structure. The compound is designed to be self-sustaining, with its own water system, energy supply, and food production, including cattle ranching with wagyu and angus breeds fed on macadamia meal and beer produced on-site.

The project has been shrouded in secrecy, with hundreds of workers bound by strict nondisclosure agreements, and violations can result in termination. The development has sparked controversy, particularly due to its location atop a burial ground where ancestors of local resident Ako were interred, and concerns over the impact of billionaire land acquisition on local communities and housing affordability.”

The House Oversight Committee is currently investigating whether the federal government botched its probe into Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex-trafficking and other charges related to the late-financier, who died in prison in 2019.

Comer is also requesting U.S. Virgin Islands Attorney General Gordon Rhea provide documents to further the investigation, including all documents referring to any federal or local criminal investigation or potential criminal investigation of Epstein or Maxwell.

“It is imperative that Congress conduct oversight of the federal government’s enforcement of sex trafficking laws generally and, specifically, its handling of the investigation and prosecution of Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell,” Comer wrote in a letter to Rhea. “The Committee may use the results of this investigation to inform legislative solutions to improve federal efforts to combat sex trafficking and reform the use of non-prosecution agreements and/or plea agreements in sex-crime investigations.

“Additionally, the Committee is assessing possible legislation aimed at bolstering or otherwise amending laws aimed at ethics disclosures for elected officials,” he added.

    19. “Epstein File Expectations: The wheels of justice turn slow, but they do turn”

      Jordan Sather, Nov 18, 2025

“After all the recent drama with “Releasing the Epstein Files,” the House of Representatives voted today to release the files to the public.

Now I think it’s important to temper expectations. It’s possible the Epstein Files that get released are largely already publicly available, with little new information. I hope I am wrong, but it’s safer to take this attitude rather than expect some grand disclosure, get hopes dashed and then butthurt over unrealistic expectations.

It goes to note that the House bill just passed apparently is calling on the government to release unclassified documents related to Epstein.
The question will therefore be begged regarding will be what doesn’t get released (what’s classified), and why?

Of course the conserva-shills and TDS libs will try to spin it like Trump was involved in Epstein crimes or is covering up for Israel. What I think is more likely is that the classified data that won’t be released is related to ongoing investigations into Epstein’s network. Investigations of this nature take a LONG time. Ask any cop. Even investigations resulting in street level drug dealer arrests can take years.

Now think about this: the amount of time Trump has been in office since Epstein’s arrest has only been about two years. Epstein was arrested in August 2019, leaving just over a year left during Trump’s first term, and we’re not even a year into Trump’s second term. This is not a very long time with Trump is power to investigate the Epstein network.

And any investigations into Epstein’s network also likely would have been undermined when Biden and his cronies were in office, causing more delay. Who knows what they attempted to do with delaying, undermining, subverting, or planting disinformation into Epstein related investigations.

The Epstein saga also contains some of the most disgusting, depraved evil on this planet (child sex trafficking, satanic rituals, human sacrifice). Not only is it difficult to investigate (especially since these are not low level criminals, but high levels elites who know how to cover tracks), but it’s also difficult to disclose publicly. Extreme caution must be used in disclosing this information, as we don’t want to send people into spin outs of denial or psychological stress.

We do want the truth and transparency, I’m not calling for keeping anything secret, but we also don’t want society to descend into chaos from people learning about what their trusted authorities were doing. I’m for a little chaos, but not too much.

So yes, we may hear the NATIONAL SECURITY excuse as to why certain information won’t get disclosed, and right now I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. I will extend some grace and some time to these investigations. Now, if it gets to the end of 2028 and we haven’t seen any kind of justice, arrests, or real disclosures related to the Epstein network, then I’ll let myself get pissed and feel let down.

The wheels of justice turn slow, but I don’t doubt that they are moving. I think we need to set realistic standards regarding the gravity of what we’re dealing with, and not let the NOISE of social media influencers and their complaining get in the way of our critical thinking.”
