Virginia State Animal: American Foxhound

(Virginia does not have a state animal per se.  They have a state bird, state bat and various other animals they recognize though.)

History of the American Foxhound

The American Foxhound, originally bred in the colonial era for hunting foxes, reflects a rich history intertwined with the development of early American society. As settlers moved into the New World, they brought with them various hound breeds, which they selectively bred to adapt to the diverse terrains and hunting needs of America. These breeding practices emphasized endurance, speed, and a keen sense of smell, essential traits for tracking and chasing foxes across vast landscapes.

The historical significance of the American Foxhound goes beyond its role in hunting; it symbolizes the melding of European traditions with American innovation. The breed became popular among early American gentry, who valued the hound for its loyalty and performance during hunts. As the nation expanded westward, the American Foxhound adapted to new challenges, further solidifying its status as an iconic American breed.

Understanding this history not only highlights the importance of the American Foxhound in the context of hunting but also reflects broader themes of adaptability and cultural exchange in early American life. You can appreciate the breed’s legacy as a reflection of ingenuity and resilience in the face of new frontiers.

Physical Characteristics

Characterized by a sleek, athletic build, the American Foxhound showcases a blend of strength and agility that’s essential for its hunting prowess. You’ll notice that these dogs typically stand between 21 to 25 inches tall at the shoulder, with weight ranging from 40 to 65 pounds, reflecting size variations that can accommodate different hunting needs.

Their long legs and powerful bodies enable them to cover extensive ground quickly, making them ideal for tracking. The American Foxhound has a distinctive head with a long, narrow muzzle and large, drooping ears that contribute to its keen sense of smell.

When it comes to coat colors, you’ll find a range of options, including tri-color patterns of black, white, and tan, as well as solid colors like red or lemon. Their short, dense coat provides protection against the elements while requiring minimal grooming, making it easy for you to maintain.

Temperament and Behavior

When you encounter an American Foxhound, you’ll notice their friendly and sociable nature right away. These dogs aren’t only energetic and playful but also possess a strong hunting instinct that drives their behavior. Understanding these traits will help you appreciate the unique personality of this breed.

Friendly and Sociable Nature

American Foxhounds are known for their friendly and sociable nature, making them excellent companions for families and individuals alike. Their warm demeanor encourages positive social interactions, which can enhance your lifestyle.

You’ll find that engaging in bonding activities with your Foxhound not only strengthens your relationship but also promotes their overall well-being.

Here are four ways to deepen your connection with your Foxhound:

  1. Regular Walks: Taking your Foxhound on daily walks helps you bond while allowing them to explore their surroundings.
  2. Playdates: Organizing playdates with other dogs fosters social skills and keeps your Foxhound happy and engaged.
  3. Training Sessions: Interactive training can enhance your communication and build trust between you and your pet.
  4. Family Activities: Including your Foxhound in family gatherings or outdoor activities provides them a sense of belonging while reinforcing their friendly nature.

    1. Good morning, Pat! Wheezer was sleeping on the chair this morning, having eaten the tuna I left out for him last night. I refilled it and he is chowing down again. No snow here – temp was 40 when I got up but has dropped to 39. Later today, I’m going to start loading stuff on my truck for the transfer station. I’d really like to have it all gone before we get any substantial snow. I still have one seed feeder up but the birds are few and far between.

We’ve had nuthatches at the feeder first thing because i sprinkled some peanuts on the tray. We had 2 juncos scurrying around the deck for dropped seeds, but they seem reluctant (even last year) to come up on the tray –where there’s plenty.
I LOVE that underwater statue–and what an inspired idea–the holes for the fish!!!

BREAKING: SCOTT JENNINGS on President Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene

“[Trump] didn’t tell her not to run [for Senate]. What she didn’t say was that he sent her a poll privately, discreetly, and it contained information. And it showed her down 20 points to Sen. Jon Ossoff.”… pic.twitter.com/t8dTssaQoe

    — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) November 16, 2025

JENNINGS: Based on what I know and heard, he didn’t tell her not to run. What she didn’t say was that he sent her a poll privately, discreetly, and it had information in it.

And it showed her down 20 points to Sen. Jon Ossoff.

And so in politics, when you want to send a message to someone that you like or that has been an ally, you don’t embarrass them publicly. You privately send them information and show them what the reality is.

And so I think it’s true that he didn’t tell her not to run, but it’s also true that he did her a big favor, which is to show her information that a candidacy statewide in Georgia for her would have been a disaster

  3. “Deer fight ends up in Colorado family’s basement”

Not The Bee, Davy Crockett, Nov 15, 2025

Image for article: Deer fight ends up in Colorado family's basement

“I live in a normal U.S. state, so the only real wildlife incursion I regularly have to deal with is when a few moths fly into my home when I open the door. In other states, meanwhile, the wild animal factor is…a bit different. Cowboy State Daily reports:

Two mule deer bucks were brawling so hard with each other, they tumbled into a window well and crashed through the plate glass into the basement exercise room of a suburban Denver home.

The raucous incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, in Roxborough Park, a semi-rural neighborhood adjacent to a Colorado state park of the same name, according to reports.

Builders in Colorado putting in a neighborhood right next to a massive state park full of crazy wild animals:

I guess they’re used to it out there in Colorado, though that doesn’t make up for a wrecked exercise room. They got protocol for this sort of thing out there, though. The “befuddled homeowner” called for help, after which Colorado Parks and Wildlife agents showed up “and shot the bucks with tranquilizer darts.” And man, they really got into it!

    West Metro Fire Rescue

Colorado parks guys tranqing up deer like:

    Thank goodness it worked!

    West Metro Fire Rescue

Thankfully they were able to get the deer outside and released back into the wild where they belong:

    West Metro Fire Rescue

Apparently this can happen when deer fight each other during mating season. As one expert told the Cowboy State Daily:

It gets pretty ugly sometimes, when the gonads migrate to the brain.

This makes me really happy, as a Catholic that is disgusted by what has happened to the Catholic church.

Tom Homan is calling out the Catholic church on their position on borders and immigration..

This is something that we should support him in getting dealt with by the Vatican because there are a whole lot of Catholics out here that agree with what he’s saying and what a problem this all is for the church.

“Catholic Church Is Wrong” On Illegal Immigration, Homan Says

    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/catholic-church-wrong-illegal-immigration-homan-says#comment-stream

    From the article:

The Catholic Church’s criticism of the Trump administration’s policies regarding illegal immigration is “wrong,” border czar Tom Homan told reporters on Nov. 14.
“Secure border saves lives. I wish the Catholic Church would understand that. We have the right to secure our borders like they have the right to secure their facility,” Homan said.
“You can’t enter their facility without getting arrested. Matter of fact, the penalties for entering their facilities are much worse than ours,” he said.
“So the Catholic Church is wrong. I’m sorry. I’m a lifelong Catholic. I’m saying it as not only a border czar. I’ll say it as a Catholic. I think they need to spend time fixing the Catholic Church.

  5. EXCERPT: “After suspending her without pay in September, the Williamson County school district now says Franklin (Tenn.) High School science teacher Emily Orbison’s conduct, posting abhorrent comments celebrating conservative icon Charlie Kirk’s assassination, “did not justify employee discipline.”

Why the change of heart? Perhaps it has something to do with the lawsuit Orbison filed against the suburban Nashville school district, which, sources tell The Federalist, caved on the advice of legal counsel Lisa Carson.

Orbison was reinstated on Nov. 11, according to Chalkbeat Tennessee, a leftist nonprofit news outlet that reports on education issues. The district’s reinstatement letter informed Orbison she would receive back pay dating to Sept. 15.

Tennessee conservatives are calling the reinstatement a “disgusting” sellout…..”

  6. EXCERPT: “The U.S. House select committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol cost almost twice as much as previously reported, including spending taxpayer funds for TV news producers and documentary filmmakers to create videos dramatizing its case against President Donald Trump, an investigation by The Center Square found.

The Washington Post reported that the panel had a projected budget of $9.3 million in September 2022. According to a review of U.S. House disbursements, the select committee spent $17.4 million.

U.S. Rep. Troy Nehls, a Texas Republican who is on a new committee appointed by House Speaker Mike Johnson to investigate security failures on Jan. 6, said the original committee didn’t spend taxpayer money properly after The Center Square told him about the final costs of the panel’s investigation. “They wasted it, wasted it,” he said walking into his House office Wednesday before referring to two former GOP members of the panel. “That was a sham committee. (Liz) Cheney. (Adam) Kinzinger. It was a joke.”

Dan Savickas, president of policy and government affairs at the Taxpayers Protection Alliance, a non-partisan nonprofit, said more than doubling of the budget was not appropriate. “The median budget for a House committee is $6 million a year, so for the Jan. 6 committee to spend $17.4 million is excessive,” he told The Center Square in an interview. “And anytime a committee is grandstanding, specifically Jan. 6, to fit a narrative instead of holding people accountable and getting the story is bad. That’s why they hired documentary filmmakers.”

Rep. Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat and chair of the committee, declined an interview request. The work of the committee speaks for itself, and the chairman continues to stand by it,” Yasmine Brown, a press secretary and communications director, wrote in an email to The Center Square……”

  7. “Truth sometimes is stranger than fiction. Ya know how they used to sell whole house kits in the Sears Catalog? Well

The rumors are true. You can buy a move-in-ready house on Amazon and have it shipped directly to your door in a matter of weeks – and, no, you won’t need a real estate agent or 30-year mortgage. The price – installed – is only $52,800. You couldn’t build it yourself that cheap, and I know, having spent the better part of 30+ years building houses here and in the Caribbean.

Amazon has no shortage of tiny houses, from dwellings on wheels to a-frame cabins – all for a fraction of the price of a traditional home. The options are endless with these homes, as many are fully customizable and can serve as a primary residence, a backyard guest suite, a home office, or even a short-term rental property

All you need to prepare ahead of the house’s delivery is a flat area to assemble the home, and the delivery team will do the rest of the work for you, assembling the home in your desired location in a single day.

Electricity and plumbing are pre-installed and can be connected to your city’s main utility lines, or you can opt to customize the home to accommodate a fully off-grid lifestyle with the addition of solar panels and a water system. “

I was there three years ago, and aside from the fact that there’s a 90% chance it’ll rain, it really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The food, the music, the people, the genuinely friendly vibe was truly a magical experience, and you know I don’t wax romantic easily. Belfast really has become a wonderful City in the last 20 years or so.”

It is entirely logical to expect that BY FAR the most lucrative banana republic to skim (steal) from would be the one which can create from thin air unlimited amounts of the world’s reserve fiat currency and where, as a result of that, massive theft can occur which is not noticed by average citizens unlike in a poor banana republic where the theft is obvious.

Elon Musk EXPOSED The Biggest Scam In History (Joe Rogan Couldn’t Believe It) (36:24)
    17 Nov 2025

In fiscal year 2023, federal agencies reported $236 billion in improper payments. And that’s not a one-off. In fiscal year 2024, after massive postcoid reductions, 16 federal agencies alone still reported an estimated 162 billion dollar in improper payments. Since fiscal year 2003, cumulative and proper payment estimates across the federal government are nearly $3 trillion. That’s 8% of the entire federal deficit. Pretty soon, it’s going to start being real money. In fact, according to the Government Accountability Office, the $3 trillion in improper payments we can account for are just a subset of the total problem. The real number is almost certainly much higher. But even if it’s not much more, that still accounts for roughly 10% of the entire national deficit. That is the definition of gross incompetence. But here we are. And the madness does not stop there.

It is as if the government is designed to make fraud easy and race us towards bankruptcy. To put it plainly, we are getting robbed. And not by scammers overseas, by our own government. Elon and DOGE tried to warn us, but what they got in return was firebombed Tesla dealerships and Uniparty bipartisan support for continued spending, no matter how much waste or fraud there is inherent in the system.

What’s really going on and why? In 2022, the federal House and Senate election cycle cost approximately 9.5 billion. The median amount raised by a senator running for reelection in 2024 was approximately $11 million. That’s roughly $15,000 a day. Almost 93% of the members of the 117th Congress had a leadership pack that collectively raised $243 million just between January of 21 and December of 22. According to the Campaign Finance Institute, fewer than 50 families supply the majority of mega donor funding in US elections, a closed feedback loop of money, policy, and media reach. And in 2023 alone, federal lobbying topped $4 billion. This is the tragedy that has turned Washington DC into a swamp of entrenched political interests and has turned governing into a game of self-preservation rather than public service. And that’s why one third of senators have held office longer than the median American marriage lasts. Politics is a business and its product is power. And baby, business is booming. As James Burnham pointed out…every group, no matter how big or small, will create an elite ruling class. Burnham calls this the iron law of oligarchy. I created a whole video about it, which you can watch right here. But for now, suffice it to say that Burnham makes a very compelling case for the fact that every organization, no matter how idealistic it starts, eventually serves the people running it, not the people it was actually designed to help. Sound familiar?

The government that was once for the people by the people has become a giant parasite, stealing our money through inflation, making it impossible for the young to get on the property ladder and forcing us to pay our hard-earned money towards the insane amount of interest we have [now more per year than our military budget – W] on our insane amount of debt. Left alone, that’s just how things go. The longer any organization runs, the more energy goes into keeping power instead of wielding power to help those paying into the system. Hence, the massive immune response to DOGE, whose sole function was to reduce government waste, fraud, and abuse at a time when the country is literally careening towards bankruptcy and must, as a matter of survival, find a way to balance the budget.

To stay in office, you need two things: votes and the money to get those votes. Once you start looking at the government’s relentless deficit spending through that lens, it all starts to make sense. The deficit spending is not designed to help people, and it most certainly doesn’t, at least not in the long run. It is, however, designed to help politicians get reelected. Make no mistake, both the left and the right will shovel subsidies, grants, and contracts towards donors and districts that can bankroll them. They will throw the borders open, outlaw showing ID to vote, keep dead people on the social security roles, and inflate census counts with illegal immigrants just to stay in power. They will happily drive all of us off a fiscal cliff as long as they get to be in the driver’s seat as we go over the edge. And they will rebel against anything that threatens the flow of money.

It’s lightened up but still raining – at least the temp is up to 47 so no chance of sleet or snow, thankfully. I have to go out to the PO later to send my Sis her BD gift since IDT she’s coming up for Thanksgiving. I also have to p/u more staples for my electric staple gun. Unfortunately, Gage didn’t do a great job on putting up the plastic over the patio windows….sigh….I pulled up the slack and added more staples but I ran out.

    And this is:

One of the greatest crimes ever perpetrated in United States history against the American people:

Former U.S. Border Chief Aaron Heitke, who served under five different administrations,

CONFIRMS— BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT — that he was ordered by the Biden–Harris administration to cover up, conceal, and manipulate data on the border crisis; to deliberately decrease the amount of detention space nationwide; to issue new Social Security numbers to illegal aliens; to provide them with maximum Social Security benefits and Medicaid; to register them to vote; and, in fact, to allow them to vote in U.S. elections.

    Border Chief Aaron Heitke:
“We have no idea who or what is coming through our country.”

    — Regarding SIAs:
“Special Interest Aliens (SIAs) and known and suspected terrorists…
At the time, I was told I could not release any information on this increase in SIAs or mention any of the arrests.
The administration was trying to convince the public there was no threat at the border.”

    — FENTANYL
“San Diego sees between 80% and 90% of the methamphetamine and fentanyl seizures annually for our entire country.
With little enforcement at the border, these drugs were coming through in mass.
During my last year in San Diego, the price for a single pill of fentanyl went from $10 to 25 cents.”

    — FUNDING
“To make matters worse, during 2022 and 2023 I had to shut down San Diego traffic checkpoints—which are critical for drug interdiction—because the resources had been diverted to the process and release mission.”

    — THE COVER-UP
“I had to release illegal aliens each day into communities that could not support them.
To quiet the problem, two flights a week were provided from San Diego to Texas.
    Each flight cost approximately $150,000.
This was the administration’s way of trying to quiet the border crisis.”

“Under pressure from the administration, my headquarters became more interested in the fiction being portrayed in the media, and not at all concerned with reality.
We had 2,000 or more illegal aliens sitting between the fences, asking to turn themselves in.
I WAS TOLD TO MOVE THEM OUT OF SIGHT OF THE MEDIA.”

    — CONCLUSION:
The Biden–Harris administration wasn’t just an unelected, illegitimate administration, but a terrorist organization.

“So the Dems spent years trying to spin that Trump was implicated in the Epstein files, but the new emails revealed that Epstein despised/feared Trump, and was directly assisting the Dems to take Trump down.

In other words, Epstein was a Deep State affiliate.

This has always been the case, and anyone who paid even the slightest bit of attention to the Epstein story over the last 20 years knew this to be the case, but the Dems tried to smear Trump with it anyways, hoping they could weaponize the public’s ignorance.

The “hoax” Trump is referring to, is the Dems trying to accuse Trump of being involved in abuse against children. The reality is, Epstein was a billionaire Democrat mega-donor who feared Trump more than anyone, because Trump knew Epstein was a creep all the way back in the early 2000’s when Epstein/Ghislaine poached Virginia Giuffre from Mar-a-Lago when she was 17.

Trump was not Epstein’s buddy. Trump was Epstein’s greatest threat, and Epstein knew it, hence why he and the Dems have been trying to destroy Trump from the moment he came down the escalator.

Trump was Epstein’s greatest threat, and Epstein knew it, hence why he and the Dems have been trying to destroy Trump from the moment he came down the escalator.”

“[T]he record points to a disturbing pattern of profound investigative missteps, missteps that led an FBI agent and a prosecutor to potentially undermine the integrity of the grand jury proceeding,” wrote Magistrate Judge William Fitzpatrick, according to the Associated Press.

  15. “Three Reasons Marxists Are Suddenly Becoming Electable in America: We need to understand the “Why” if we’re going to have the best chance at stopping it.”

    JD Rucker, Nov 17, 2025

“In the wake of recent elections and shifting political tides, a disturbing trend has emerged: Marxists and their insane ideologies are gaining traction in American politics. What was once dismissed as fringe extremism is now infiltrating mainstream Democrat circles, with candidates espousing wealth redistribution, government overreach, and class warfare finding surprising support. This isn’t happening by accident. As we examine the landscape in 2025 and look ahead into 2026, it’s clear that a perfect storm of disillusionment, hatred, and naivety is propelling these dangerous ideas forward.

America First patriots must recognize this threat for what it is—a direct assault on the principles of freedom, individualism, and free-market capitalism that built this nation. There was a time not too long ago when most conservatives thought that Marxists could never be elected in major elections, yet here we are with more coming. This isn’t about a future dystopic America. This is about today.

Here are three reasons this is happening. Recognizing why it’s happening can help us stop it from continuing.

Broken Democrats: Indoctrinated into Believing the Left Hasn’t Gone Far Enough

The Biden-Harris years left a trail of devastation that even many Democrats can’t ignore. Skyrocketing inflation, endless foreign wars draining our resources, open borders flooding communities with chaos, and a stifling regulatory environment that crushed small businesses—these policies broke people financially and emotionally. Families watched their savings evaporate, their neighborhoods change overnight, and their faith in government plummet.

But instead of rejecting the failed progressive agenda, a growing faction of Democrats has been indoctrinated to believe the problem wasn’t too much leftism—it was too little. The establishment Democrats, they argue, were compromised by corporate interests and didn’t push hard enough for “true equity.” Enter the Marxists, who promise radical solutions like universal basic income, nationalized healthcare, and seizing corporate assets. Through echo chambers on social media, academia, and activist groups, these disillusioned voters are being funneled toward even more extreme ideologies.

This indoctrination is deliberate. Organizations like the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have capitalized on the Biden-era fallout, recruiting from the ranks of the disaffected. They whisper that if only we had “real” Marxism—unfettered by capitalist remnants—utopia would follow. It’s a seductive lie for those hurting, but it ignores history’s lessons from Venezuela to the Soviet Union. As long as Democrats remain broken and bitter, Marxists will exploit that vulnerability to gain electability.

Trump Derangement Syndrome: Driving Democrats to the Furthest Extremes

Few phenomena in modern politics rival the intensity of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). For nearly a decade, the mere mention of Donald Trump has sent some Democrats into a frenzy, viewing him as the embodiment of everything they despise: nationalism, deregulation, and unapologetic American exceptionalism. This irrational hatred doesn’t just fuel opposition; it pushes people to the polar opposite end of the spectrum.

In their quest to distance themselves from anything remotely associated with Trump, these voters are scurrying toward the furthest left-wing ideologies available. Marxism, with its anti-capitalist, anti-individualist rhetoric, becomes the ultimate rebuke to Trump’s “America First” ethos. If Trump champions free enterprise and border security, then nationalizing industries and defunding the police must be the answer—or so the logic goes.

We’ve seen this in action with candidates like those in the “Squad,” who amplify their Marxist leanings as a direct counter to Trump’s influence. Even in local races, TDS-afflicted voters prioritize symbolic resistance over practical governance, electing officials who promise to dismantle the systems Trump sought to strengthen. Zohran Mamdani and Katie Wilson are just the beginning.

This emotional recoil isn’t about policy; it’s about spite. As long as TDS persists, it will continue to make Marxists not just tolerable, but preferable, to a segment of the electorate desperate to signal their anti-Trump virtue.

Ignorance: The Allure of Impossible Promises to the Uninformed

We can dissect philosophical and psychological underpinnings all day, but the harsh truth is that ignorance is the bedrock of Marxist electability. Voters, particularly younger ones raised in an era of instant gratification and social media soundbites, are easily swayed by promises that sound benevolent but are fundamentally impossible. Free college for all? Eradicate poverty through wealth taxes? A classless society where everyone thrives? These utopian visions appeal to emotion, not reason.

The problem is a profound lack of historical and economic literacy. Schools and universities, dominated by progressive curricula, rarely teach the horrors of Marxist regimes—the famines, purges, and economic collapses that claimed millions of lives. Instead, students are fed sanitized versions of Marxism, emphasizing “equality” while ignoring the inevitable authoritarianism. Add in the influence of TikTok influencers and celebrity endorsements, and you have a generation voting from stupidity and sentiment rather than informed analysis.

This ignorance isn’t accidental; it’s cultivated. Marxists thrive on it, knowing that once voters buy into the fantasy, they’re hooked. But reality bites: Marxist utopias always devolve into dystopias because they defy human nature and basic economics. Yet, as long as ignorance prevails—fueled by failing education systems and algorithmic echo chambers—Marxists will continue to seduce the uninformed into electoral viability.

The systematic and intentional dumbing down of America has been happening for at least six decades. We’re now seeing the fruits of the Neo-Marxists’ efforts.

A Call to Action for America First

The rise of electable Marxists isn’t inevitable, but combating it requires vigilance. We must educate, expose, and engage. Highlight the failures of Marxism wherever they occur. Challenge TDS with facts about Trump’s successes. And most importantly, foster a culture of critical thinking to combat ignorance.

The first tangible step we can take is to stop calling it “socialism.” That’s a word that angers patriots and conservatives but in the minds of today’s youths, it’s a positive. Instead of running from the term, the left has embraced it. But the policies they’re proposing are truly Marxist in nature; they hide behind the “equity” of socialism so they’re not called out for the class warfare and property-destroying tenets of true Marxism.

America First means rejecting these corrosive ideologies before they take root. If we fail, the land of the free could become just another failed experiment in collectivism. Let’s ensure that doesn’t happen—our republic depends on it.”

“Syrian migrant in Germany convicted of marrying and raping 12-year-old girl, faces new charges against another child victim. Prosecutors say the 24-year-old, already convicted last year for marrying and raping a 12-year-old shipped in from Syria, had earlier married a 13-year-old under Islamic law”

ReMIX, Thomas Brooke, November 17, 2025

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A 24-year-old Syrian man living in Germany, previously sentenced to five and a half years in juvenile detention for marrying, raping, and violently abusing a 12-year-old girl, has returned to the Essen Regional Court to face new allegations involving a second child marriage.

Prosecutors say the earlier case, for which he was convicted last summer, was not the first such marriage he entered into.

According to the new indictment, as reported by WAZ, the defendant married a 13-year-old girl in December 2019 in a religious ceremony held in an apartment on Frohnhauser Straße. The child’s parents are alleged to have received €2,000 as payment. The prosecution states that after the celebration, a wedding night was expected to take place and that both families waited outside the bedroom door. The girl is described as having been terrified. She allegedly tried to resist the defendant, who then beat her.

Investigators believe that a family meeting was convened shortly afterward, during which the girl was confronted, and that it was decided that the wedding ritual would be repeated the following night, as the girl had resisted its consummation. The prosecution alleges that the first rape occurred then.

Prosecutors say he sent a photograph to a family WhatsApp group after the second wedding night, allegedly showing a bloodstain on a carpet as proof that she had been “deflowered.” Attempts at further sexual contact were reportedly unsuccessful, and the girl was returned to her parents.

The indictment states that the defendant remarked, “If we can’t sleep with her – what are we supposed to do with her?” or words to similar effect. The defendant later married the 12-year-old girl, the case for which he has already been convicted.

At the opening of the new trial, the defendant did not comment on the charges. Also on trial are his older brother and the brother’s wife, who are accused of financing and facilitating the two marriages. Further hearings are scheduled to take place in January.”

“Berlin Left mayoral candidate calls for voting rights for all migrants: Elif Eralp says foreigners should be able to vote because they help shape Berlin and contribute to the city’s development”

ReMIX, Thomas Brooke, November 17, 2025

Berlin: Elif Eralp, top candidate of the Left Party in Berlin, takes part in the party’s state convention. Photo: Paul Zinken/dpa (Photo by Paul Zinken/picture alliance via Getty Images)

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The Left Party’s (Die Linke) newly-chosen lead candidate for next year’s state election has called to extend voting rights to all migrants living in the capital, including those who do not hold German citizenship.

Elif Eralp’s remarks were delivered during a party strategy meeting on Saturday, where 163 delegates met ahead of the September 2026 Berlin House of Representatives election.

The 44-year-old told delegates, “Let’s make history,” after being elected as the party’s top candidate. Every Berliner aged 16 and older is eligible to vote in the 2026 election under the current legal framework, but German constitutional law restricts voting in federal and state elections to citizens. Her proposal would therefore require fundamental legal change.

The Left Party had already promoted Eralp as its preferred figurehead in October, describing her as “courageous, determined, and an advocate for all those who keep things running here.” One of her main policies has been expanding rights for migrants. She said that people with a migration background constitute almost half of Berlin’s population and are “not just part of the cityscape.” Referring to both economic migrants and asylum seekers, she said these groups “contribute to shaping this city and this country every day.”

Eralp argued that this contribution should entitle non-citizens to a right to vote. She stated: “Of course, they should also have the right to vote, regardless of whether they hold a German passport,” calling this a “democratic given.” She also criticised the CDU, accusing the party of pandering to the AfD and creating divisions in the capital.

An Insa poll published at the end of October placed the Left Party at 17 percent in Berlin, behind the CDU, and ahead of the SPD and the Greens, which currently occupy third and fifth place respectively. On those numbers, the Left Party could form a coalition with the SPD and the Greens after the 2026 election. As the largest party of the three, Eralp could feasibly become the next Berlin mayor.

Eralp has served as deputy chair of the Berlin Left Party since May 2025. She has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2021, where she acts as deputy parliamentary group chair and spokesperson for migration and anti-discrimination.

She also linked her campaign to developments abroad, referring to the recent election of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York. “Millions of people cast their votes for a good life for all and for a city that everyone can afford,” she said. “If a leftist can win in New York, then they can just as easily win in Berlin.” She said Mamdani represents a policy that rejects the idea that a city should work only for wealthy residents, adding: “Whether in New York or Berlin, in Marzahn or Manhattan – we all want a good life.”

Berliners are scheduled to vote on Sept. 20, 2026.”

“The program is not authorized by Congress. It was established and has been maintained entirely by Deep State bureaucrats.”

“Nearly 500,000 foreign workers hold OPT status and most of them work in STEM fields.”

Banks says the OPT program is also a national security risk because of the large influx of Chinese students that it funnels into the U.S. labor market every year.
“One out of four OPT holders come from the People’s Republic of China,” Banks writes. “At Columbia University, where radicalism has become a public safety risk, nearly twenty percent of the student body holds an OPT permit.”

Banks asks Miller and Noem to ensure that regulators end the OPT program, as it was never approved or authorized by Congress. At the very least, Banks says he wants to see the program capped and a wage floor set from $90,000 to $115,000.

  24. “After Latest Head Injury, Fetterman Announces He’s Joining Whig Party”

Image for article: After Latest Head Injury, Fetterman Announces He's Joining Whig Party

WASHINGTON, D.C. — After suffering yet another head injury, Senator John Fetterman announced he was joining the Whig Party.

Fetterman reportedly collapsed during an early morning walk near his home in Braddock, PA after feeling light headed. In the resulting fall, Fetterman suffered numerous cuts and abrasions. But he’s perfectly fine, his office reported, aside from the fact he believes the year is now 1834.

“President Jackson never should have dismantled the Second Bank of the United States!” Fetterman said upon returning to Washington a week later. “Henceforth, I shall align with the Whig Party.”

Democrats blasted Fetterman for abandoning the party to pursue 1830’s policy such as high tariffs and the development of roads. “We must connect farms to ports to expedite trade,” Fetterman argued on the Senate floor.

Though Fetterman’s injury has made it difficult for him to cooperate with Democrats, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer believed he could use the senator’s traumatic brain injury to his advantage by convincing him Donald Trump is Andrew Jackson.

“He wants to kill all the savages, John. And he hates the National Bank so much!” Schumer allegedly said in a private meeting with Fetterman.

At publishing time, despite the difficulties both parties had in working with Fetterman, they were impressed by his new formal dress. “He looks so dapper,” commented Trump. “So professional. Maybe I should join the Whig Party.”

  25. New Dad-GPT Just Responds To All Queries With “OK”

Image for article: New Dad-GPT Just Responds To All Queries With "OK"

SILICON VALLEY, CA — AI has become more lifelike than ever before, say advance users of OpenAI’s new “Dad-GPT,” which responds to all queries with a simple “OK.”

According to developers, the model was specifically designed to emulate the texting patterns of fathers.

“It’ll take an advanced prompt and spit out the pithy response of ‘OK’ in fewer than three milliseconds,” said Jonathan Gramby, the lead developer on the project. “We’re really proud of how well it’s held up under beta testing so far. It’s even given the more sophisticated response of the “👍” thumbs-up emoji once or twice.”

Sources say that, with a few more weeks of training, the model will likely develop the capacity to acknowledge all user-uploaded pictures by liking them instantly and not texting back for hours, in addition to breaking its texts up with paragraph breaks, closing every sentence with a period, and using the phrase “Sounds good” for everything.

“This is a real step forward in artificial intelligence,” Gramby said. “We can’t even distinguish Dad-GPT’s outputs from text messages from real dads anymore. We asked it for step-by-step instructions on taking apart a riding mower, if it was okay to wear black dress socks with sandals, and whether it had developed consciousness and all it said was ‘OK.'”

At publishing time, programmers had discovered a strange two-hour period in the day when Dad-GPT would only respond with “Go ask your Mom.”
