Trundle Manor, Pittsburgh PA

Trundle Manor is the private home of Mr. Arm and Velda Von Minx and is located in the Swissvale neighborhood in east Pittsburgh. It describes itself as “The most unusual tourist trap in the world meets the most bizarre private collection on public display”, which seems like a quite fitting description for this unusual residence.

The homeowners opened their home to tours in 2009 and offer a peek into their very unusual and eclectic collection of items by appointment. Since this is a private residence, don’t just show up here and expect a tour. Make sure to reach out to them via their website as early as possible to arrange a time to visit (typically on weekday evenings and on weekend afternoons).

Trundle Manor is definitely a bizarre collection of items ranging from 100-year-old taxidermy to meat cleavers, handmade robots, and even a singing tumor (more on that later).

What’s even more incredible is that many of the items on display were created by Mr. Arm and Velda Von Minx themselves, though they make sure you know that they did not kill or torture any of the animals that they have taxidermied themselves. However, they do have their own deceased cat and a friend’s deceased dog on display after preservation.

Tours last about 45 minutes and take you through four rooms on the lower level of the home. While there are no steps on the tour, note that there are a fair number of steps to get into the home.

The rooms on the tour of Trundle Manor are chock full of items. In fact, you could probably spend all day here and still miss something.

Display cases are overflowing, decades-old taxidermied items are stacked multiple layers deep throughout the space, and a myriad of items also hang from the walls and over doorways. Somehow, though, the collection keeps growing as new items are found, made, or donated to Trundle Manor.

During your tour, one of the homeowners guides you through the space offering stories about various pieces and interesting tidbits (such as the fake and creepy dog made by Mr. Arm when he was a child). Visitors are also welcome to ask about items they find interesting, and if you love the strange and macabre, you are sure to find plenty of things to ask questions about during your visit.

One of the most unusual pieces is Olivia’s Singing Tumor, which is located just inside the main entrance to the home.

This is an actual benign tumor that was removed from a friend’s body and has been given a place of honor inside a glass jar. It has been rigged to lights and music to create one of the most interesting displays you’ll ever see. It’s even said that the woman who donated the tumor comes by the visit it from time to time.

The largest room in the space is the home’s main parlor. This room is not just full of more unusual displays but also serves as their personal living room, complete with a hidden video game system and projector screen.

In this space, you can find their now-deceased pet cat, which has been freeze-dried and placed in an enclosure, right next to a giant painting that features its likeness, and a collection of meat cleavers in case of a zombie attack (Pittsburgh is the birthplace of zombies after all!)

Tours end with the chance to go through a hidden doorway into the home’s kitchen, which is also filled with incredible items and is one of the most unique spaces in the home. There is also a small gift shop here with everything from stickers to homemade Halloween costumes.

Through the back door, visitors can also see the homeowners’ cars, including one that has been modified to shoot flames six feet into the air. While they don’t demonstrate the flames, the modifications on this car are really interesting to look at.

It’s worth noting that there is no specific charge to tour Trundle Manor. However, donations are accepted, and they have a jar near the door for those with cash. They also accept strange oddities as a donation and some of the items pointed out during my visit were donated by past visitors, which really adds a unique twist to the collection here. They also accept non-beer alcohol as a donation as well, according to their website.

Overall, Trundle Manor is one of the most unusual places I’ve ever been, and to think that this doubles as someone’s private home is truly mind boggling.

The collection here is one of the most eclectic you’ll find anywhere and probably isn’t for everyone (including young kids who like to grab things and the easily squeamish).  However, for those who enjoy strange oddities, unique art, and simply exploring the unusual, this is definitely a stop you won’t want to miss in Pittsburgh.

Alright, kids. Here it is. Released today by the FBI, nearly 200 pages of formerly classified FBI documents, posted today on the House Judiciary Committee website and proves that the “state law cases” with the fake criminal charges against Pres Trump, Trump lawyers, Trump electors…and supporters were NOT state initiated AT ALL. These were ALL proxies for the feds…the BIDEN feds….

The FBI with the blessing of the Biden DOJ and no doubt the Biden White House initiated and conducted the entire investigation of hundreds and hundreds of RNC, Trump campaign employees, consultants, lawyers, supporters….all for the purpose of DESTROYING the MAGA movement …
by prosecuting / persecuting not only the President but anyone in his orbit.

Look through the documents yourself…see the evidence… those puppet Democrat AGs in Arizona (@krismayes NV @AaronDFordNV Wisconsin @JoshKaulWI and Michigan @dananessel — not to mention your favorite disgraced slut @faniforDA Willis from GA….they were just puppets of the Biden / national Democrats who pulled the strings for the indictments on FAKE charges against Trump and Trump electors, lawyers, supporters.

I do NOT want to hear ONE MORE WORD from these creeps and their sycophants in the leftwing media about Donald Trump being authoritarian.

When in American history have we seen this massive all-of-government investigation of normal citizens who committed NO crime, but simply were supporting or were part of the opposition political party? Never. NEVER.

It is time to realize those so-called state criminal proceedings were a mere proxy for the Biden White House/ DNC / DOJ / FBI who concocted a plan to make sure Donald Trump never again could run for president and to cripple the entire MAGA movement.

There are hundreds and hundreds of victims of this massive conspiracy — and the worst of it was inflicted on Pres Trump, the defendants in the Trump electors FAKE criminal prosecutions, and the J6 prisoners.

We can’t let these creeps get away with this any longer. We need more pardons and MORE investigations and PROSECUTIONS of those who deprived hundreds of Americans of their constitutional and civil rights.

’m so tired of hearing “Our grandparents could buy a house on one salary, but now we can’t even afford rent on two!”

Yeah, because Grandma wasn’t blowin’ half her paycheck on $12 iced coffee and avocado toast, that’s why!

Back then, if they wanted coffee, they made it at home.

With grounds so strong it could remove rust. You didn’t drink it… you survived it.

And Grandma wasn’t out there “brunchin’.”

You think she had time for brunch? No!

She was at home, cooking something called whatever’s left in the house.

And don’t even bring up Uber Eats.

These people today are crying about money while living in a 4-bedroom house with two SUVs, six streaming services, and matching sleeve tattoos.

You think Grandpa had a tattoo?

Yeah it said “Korea, 1951.” And it came with nightmares, not realitic shading.

Oh, don’t even get me started on the kids.

“We can’t make ends meet, but Brayden needs the new iPhone!”

No, he doesn’t! You’re giving an $1100 phone to a kid who still eats glue and boogers.

When we were kids, the family phone hung on the wall.

It had a cord long enough to jump rope with, and if you wanted privacy, you had to go stand in the pantry.

    And somehow, we survived.

And the TV? There was one. One. It was in the living room, and Dad controlled it.

If he wanted to watch bowling, guess what?

    You liked bowling.

Now every room’s got a 65-inch screen, the baby’s got an iPad, and you’re sitting there wondering why you can’t afford rent.

Because you’re living like rappers, that’s why!

Grandpa wasn’t out here leasing Teslas and buying $12 smoothies called “Detox Sunrise.”

He was driving a truck that sounded like thunder and smelled like oil and cigarettes.

    They lived within their means.

Whatever Grandpa’s paycheck bought, that’s what they had.

They didn’t try to keep up with the Joneses.

They were just trying to keep the fed and a roof over their heads.

So yeah, Grandpa could buy a house on one salary.

But he also didn’t have 47 subscriptions and emotional-support crystals.

He had one support system, Grandma, who told him to suck it up and mow the yard.

Now folks are broke, tired, and stressed… and it’s not because of inflation… it’s because y’all keep ordering tacos from DoorDash like you’re royalty.

Wake up and smell the truth!

  3. Illegals vs. the Deserving American Poor
    By John Conlin

The other day I was driving on a small mountain road and came upon a road construction project. At both ends of the work the flag crew consisted of two older women bundled up against the cold — yes, it’s starting to get cold in the Colorado mountains.

What struck me was their age. They were surprisingly old. I have never met these women in my life, but I’d bet a lot of money they were out working on this job not because they like the fresh air but because they need the money.

You see the same thing in Walmart, grocery, and other retail stores, and in thousands of other unseen occupations. Older workers struggling to get by, doing whatever jobs are open to people of their age and ability.

And it annoys me beyond belief. I would also bet a lot of money that the vast majority of these people either personally bled for this country or have relatives who have — far too many actually giving their lives for this great country.

What greater sacrifice can one make for their country? I can think of none. Yet these people are kicked to the curb by our government and the elites while money that could go to them is instead showered as free stuff for illegal aliens.

Remember, that’s what the illegal part is all about — they shouldn’t have been allowed in the country in the first place.

What could Social Security payments and others be if all this money went to only U.S. citizens? A few hundred a month could make a huge difference in these citizens’ lives. Perhaps big decreases in health insurance costs for the average working schmoe?

Is there a greater insult a country could send to its citizens than this? You or your kin gave blood and sometimes lives for this country, but when in need, the sacrifice is ignored and non-citizen criminals — they broke the law coming here and they break it every day they remain — are placed ahead of you.

Every dollar spent on them is a dollar not spent on citizens. This is a cold, hard fact. This is called opportunity cost.

Many have long argued that a prime weakness of modern governments is their refusal to address opportunity costs.

“When an option is chosen from alternatives, the opportunity cost is the “cost” incurred by not enjoying the benefit associated with the best alternative choice.”

It can be as basic as a dollar spent here, is dollar not spent there. Or it could be time; you can’t be at both your son’s soccer game and your daughter’s lacrosse game if they are at the same time in different places. There are opportunity costs associated with every decision ever made. That’s just the way it is.

One can argue about the wisdom of low-rent apartments, food stamps, housing assistance, “free” medical care and housing — since few things are free, that just means someone else is paying for it — and other types of social programs and welfare, but one cannot argue with the basic reality that a dollar spent on illegal aliens is a dollar not spent on a deserving U.S. citizen.

Many of these U.S. citizens have kids or relatives in public schools that are overwhelmed by the children of illegals. So, the children of citizens who gave their blood for this country over generations are getting a suboptimal education so that the children of people who shouldn’t be here consume the resources? Opportunity costs are a reality that might be willfully ignored, but that doesn’t make them any less real.

There are also tremendous opportunity costs associated with the remittances these illegals send back “home.” These are the number one source of income for Mexico and many other countries — that’s why their governments purposely send their “excess” population here.

But this process bleeds dry the localities where they live and work. Every dollar sent out of the country — estimates are over $200 billion a year — is a dollar not spent in these U.S. neighborhoods. These are generally poor neighborhoods where that money remaining in the community could do a world of good. They consume “our” social services so they can send “their” money out of the country. Why is this a good idea for actual U.S. citizens?

Various levels of government try to hide the actual spending on illegal aliens but it is easily in the hundreds of billions — each and every year! All going to folks who are here illegally — what don’t the people in power understand about that designation, illegal? Don’t like it? Then change the law. Until then, enforce it.

All while people who gave their blood for this country are kicked to the curb. Demanding this be changed is not anti-illegal immigrant but pro-U.S. citizen. If we are going to ask young men and women to fight and perhaps die for this country, is it asking too much that the country remembers them when they and their kin might be in need?

  4. EXCERPT: “Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon announced that states that do not comply with Justice Department requests to examine voter rolls face lawsuits, eight of which have already been filed.

“We’ve been asking states to produce the data of their voter rolls, to be able to make sure that they only have citizens on the rolls and that they don’t have duplicates and have people voting in multiple jurisdictions,” Dhillon told Just The News. “So we’ve had to file eight lawsuits throughout the United States to enforce our data requests, which is something that they have to comply with under the Voting Rights Act and Civil Rights Act of 1960.”

The eight lawsuits referenced are against the states of California, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New York, and most recently, Oregon and Maine.

The DOJ has asserted that these states are not complying with federal laws, specifically the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). These laws require states to maintain accurate and accessible voter registration records.

Since voter data should be accessible, the DOJ is seeking comprehensive voter registration lists that include information like names, date of birth, addresses, state driver’s license numbers and the last four digits of Social Security numbers.

    Dhillon: An important task “neglected”

President Donald Trump rallied crowds throughout his campaign on election integrity issues following significant skepticism surrounding the 2020 general election. Pressure has mounted on the DOJ to clean up voter rolls and ensure “one person, one vote” for only lawful citizens. According to Dhillon, utilizing her DOJ division’s employees to ensure this is accomplished is novel to many of them….”

  5. Clearly, there is more work to be done @ HHS!!!

Just The News: “The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on Tuesday confirmed that it has fired an administration adviser who opposed COVID-19 vaccines and promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine during the pandemic.

HHS told The Hill that it fired Steven Hatfill over the weekend for cause, but did not provide details about the termination.

An official told the New York Times that Hatfill was fired because he misrepresented himself as the “chief medical officer” for the assistant secretary for preparedness and response, but Hatfill said he was ousted as part of “a coup to overthrow” Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., which was allegedly organized by the secretary’s chief of staff Matt Buckham.

Hatfill said that Buckham had asked him to resign, which he refused and said he would have to be fired instead.

The former health official previously served as Trump’s adviser in his first term and advocated for using hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, for treating COVID-19 infections during the pandemic, claiming the MRNA vaccines cause “biochemical havoc” in the body.”

  6. Just The News: “Twenty-five Republican attorneys general have filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court, challenging birthright citizenship.

Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti was joined on the brief on Friday by Iowa’s attorney general and 23 others: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

“The idea that citizenship is guaranteed to everyone born in the United States doesn’t square with the plain language of the Fourteenth Amendment or the way many government officials and legal analysts understood the law when it was adopted after the Civil War,” Skrmetti said in a statement on Friday.

“If you look at the law at the time, citizenship attached to kids whose parents were lawfully in the country. Each child born in this country is precious no matter their parents’ immigration status, but not every child is entitled to American citizenship. This case could allow the Supreme Court to resolve a constitutional question with far-reaching implications for the States and our nation.”

The Republican AGs are siding with the Trump administration in urging the Supreme Court “to clarify that the Fourteenth Amendment’s Citizenship Clause does not provide automatic citizenship to everyone born in the United States. The States argue that lower courts have misinterpreted the Citizenship Clause to require automatic citizenship for anyone born on U.S. soil, regardless of their parents’ residency and immigration status,” according to Skrmetti’s office.

The amicus brief includes “historical evidence from the 1860s through the early 1900s” to support its interpretation of the 14th Amendment, the Tennessee AG’s office said.”

  8. “New Jersey Legislation Would Force Homeschool Parents To Teach Public School Propaganda: These bills represent a fundamentally different worldview than the one that animated the founders of this nation, one that replaces loving and caring parents with the unfeeling apparatus of the state.”

The Federalist, By: William Estrada, October 29, 2025

    homeschooling

EXCERPT: “As New Jersey voters head to the polls for a hotly contested election, the future of homeschool freedom in the state is on the ballot. New Jersey has long been a state where parents can homeschool their children without obtrusive government regulations and bureaucracy. Now the legislature is considering multiple bills that not only threaten this fundamental right to home education, but are also antithetical to the American tradition. These bills have languished in committee, but that could change after Nov. 4 depending on whether pro-freedom legislators are elected or sent home.

These proposed bills would unfairly single out homeschool parents for additional scrutiny simply because they choose to exercise a constitutional right and take responsibility for their child’s education.

Among the bills for consideration, one, Senate Bill 1796, would require an intrusive annual notice with no privacy protections for homeschool families and students. Another pair of bills, Assembly Bill 5796 and Senate Bill 4589, would require parents and children to meet annually with school officials for a “general health and wellness check.” Despite peer reviewed studies demonstrating that homeschooled children are not at greater risk for abuse or neglect, these proposed bills single out homeschooling parents for suspicion, undermining the fundamental principle of our legal system: “Innocent until proven guilty.”

What is more, these bills transform public schools into social service agencies by placing the responsibility for the wellness of homeschool children on the public education system, a system that was neither designed nor intended to meet this need. Child welfare is not the role of public educators who are often undertrained for this task, and who are increasingly overwhelmed with attempting to ensure that public school students are on grade level.

Worse still, these two bills are astonishingly vague, leaving “health and wellness check” undefined and open to interpretation by school officials. This invites privacy violations, potentially giving public officials carte blanche to pry into private medical affairs.

Even more troubling is a fourth bill, Assembly Bill 5825, which targets the educational freedom of homeschool families by requiring them to precisely align their private homeschool curriculum with New Jersey Student Learning Standards. This includes required courses, themes, and topics determined by the state.

This bill mandates not only what must be taught in private homes, but also how the parent or guardian must conduct the teaching, ignoring the importance of individual learning and instruction. This undermines one of the core pillars of homeschooling — namely educational freedom — and it threatens religious liberties and freedom of conscience…..”

  9. “New York City Must Be Politically Quarantined After Zohran Mamdani’s Victory: This is far worse than just the loss of a city. We must be prepared for more people like Zohran Mamdani getting a foothold in American society.”

    JD Rucker, Oct 29, 2025

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Zohran Mamdani is New York City’s next mayor. There are those who are holding out hope that some scandal will break or the polls are wrong or he’ll get deported or… something. But the last real sliver of hope of an electoral reversal died when neither Andrew Cuomo nor Curtis Sliwa dropped out before early voting began. It will take an act of God to stop Mamdani at this point, and I’m being quite literal when I say that.

As bad as things are going to get in the Big Apple, we have to turn our focus to the rest of the country. The Islamist-Marxist contagion must be contained. We’ve seen a glimpse of what happens to western society once the contagion spreads. It happened in London and is now spreading throughout the United Kingdom. As bad as Sadiq Khan has been for the Brits, Mamdani represents a far worse potential for America.

He’s more radical. He’s more charismatic. He’s better funded. And we’re about to witness the most concentrated effort by the Globalist Elite Cabal to infect America since Barack Obama’s Cultural Marxist rise in the mid-2000s just prior to his presidential run. They’re going to unleash everything they can to not only prop up Mamdani, but to make him the prototype for electoral victories across the nation.

This is the emergence of the Red-Green Alliance in the United States of America. If we don’t quarantine it to New York City (and Minneapolis where Omar Fateh may win), then it will spread just as it has done in the UK and parts of Europe.

The biggest roadblock for us is timidity from patriots who do not want to call it out. The tired playbook of the left will be invoked in which any criticism on Mamdani will be labeled Islamophobia. Sadly, this will keep far too many in and out of politics from calling out the Red-Green Alliance. To counter this, the focus will obviously be on the Red side, the Marxist policies Mamdani will bring to New York City. That’s the low-hanging fruit and will make itself more apparent the deeper we get into Mamdani’s time as mayor.

Let’s just not forget the Green side. Political Islam can be far more powerful if not contained. As impossible as it is for most to imagine America pandering to it anytime soon, we have to remember that few paid attention to it in Europe until it actually took hold. And now that some are finally calling it out, it appears to be too late. There are parts of Europe that are now lost.

Mamdani’s victory will not just be a local embarrassment—it’s a warning siren to every city, state, and citizen who still believes in the principles that built this nation. His campaign wasn’t built on serving the people of New York. It was built on reshaping them. He has openly aligned himself with movements that seek to demonize America’s allies and destabilize our moral foundation.

The danger isn’t merely ideological. It’s spiritual. What Mamdani represents is a fusion of Marxist materialism and Islamist zealotry, a zealous power structure wrapped in the language of “justice” and “liberation.” It’s the same toxic blend that hollowed out once-proud European cities and left them in cultural and moral chaos. The Red-Green Alliance uses compassion as camouflage. It preaches tolerance while silencing dissent. It weaponizes victimhood to gain control, then replaces liberty with obedience.

The globalist class loves men like Mamdani because they are the perfect tools: polished, radical, and unashamedly anti-Western. They will portray his mayorship as a model of progress while quietly steering America toward dependency, division, and moral decay. Under his leadership, New York City will almost certainly accelerate its descent into chaos—more crime, more taxes, more censorship, and less freedom. Families will flee. Businesses will follow. The city that once symbolized the American dream will become a case study in cultural collapse.

That’s why “political quarantine” isn’t hyperbole. We must isolate this contagion for our very survival as a nation. Other cities must resist embracing this ideology at all costs. Governors and legislators across red and purple states must harden their borders against the policies and cultural influence that will soon radiate out of New York. State sovereignty, parental rights, and local control are the antidotes to the metastatic spread of globalist control. If America is to remain a constitutional republic under God, its citizens must learn to draw moral boundaries and defend them.

This battle is not between right and left—it’s between those who believe in truth and those who believe in power. Mamdani’s rise was made possible not just by radical activism but by the apathy of good people who stopped paying attention. Christians, patriots, and traditionalists cannot afford to look away anymore. Every election now has spiritual weight. Every school board, city council, and mayor’s office can either preserve or poison the fabric of the nation.

New York City made its choice. Some would argue that the Globalist Elite Cabal forced the choice upon them. Now, the rest of America must make our own choices by defying the rise of ideological idiocy that follows. We can shake our heads and mock the insanity, or we can recognize that what begins in the cities rarely stays there. If we want to preserve our country’s soul, we must treat the ideology that elevated Mamdani as the virus it is—and seal it off before it spreads beyond control.”

Add powdered sugar (and a little flour if necessary) to make a stiff dough. pull off pieces of dough and flatten on a floured surface. spread with peanut butter and roll up jelly roll style and slice into pieces. refrigerate.

Use sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes for a sweeter flavor.
Replace peanut butter with almond butter, sunflower seed butter, or Nutella for different tastes or dietary needs.
For a nut-free version, use seed butters like Wow Butter.

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/10/arrest-jack-smith-now-latest-arctic-frost-list/

FTA “The Arctic Frost investigation was a codenamed FBI probe launched in April 2022 under the Biden administration. Originally, we were told it was an investigation into the legitimate alternative electors from the 2020 election. On Tuesday, we found out that the investigation was much more than that. It now appears that Arctic Frost, launched by Jack Smith and the Biden regime, was an attempt to wipe out MAGA and to persecute many of the top MAGA personalities.

    Per Tuesday’s GOP-led Judiciary Committee:

Arctic Frost investigators utilized FBI field offices from across the country to conduct its investigation.
Arctic Frost investigators requested $16,600 to travel to conduct more than 40 interviews.
109 individuals, including Peter Navarro, Dan Scavino, Jeff Rosen, and Ed Martin, were under investigation.
What was the crime? There was no crime. Smith and the Biden team were attempting to eradicate MAGA from the country by eliminating over 100 of its state and national leaders. The House Judiciary Committee PDF appears to be a heavily redacted document. Between the two sections, Jack Smith was spying on 96 + 13 = 109 prominent Republicans. The lists include prominent nationally recognized names and prominent battleground state activists.”

Another Committee report no indictments yet!? Are they coming? Asking for a friend!

In Haiti, 25 people died, according to officials, The Associated Press reported. Jamaica has one confirmed death thus far.

The hurricane, which was a Category 5 when it hit Jamaica on Tuesday, has weakened to Category 2 after making landfall in Cuba. Hurricane Melissa is the strongest to hit Jamaica since records were first kept 174 years ago.

Jamaica’s education minister, Dana Morris Dixon, said that 77% of the island was without power on Wednesday.

Cuban officials said about 735,000 people are in shelters after they were evacuated from their homes in the island’s eastern region.

In Cuba, the hurricane had top sustained winds of 105 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The U.S. State Department said Wednesday that it was deploying emergency teams to assist with search-and-rescue efforts.

“In response to catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Melissa in many Caribbean countries, @StateDept is deploying a regional Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) and activated US-based Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams to bolster response efforts,” the department posted on X.

“These teams are working with affected countries and local communities to determine what assistance is needed and with interagency, international, and U.S. military partners to coordinate emergency response efforts.”

    1. any job requiring brawn does not HAVE to be a woman’s job. Short people can’t play basketball–but both men and women can. certain jobs have physical requirements–you can’t meet them, you don’t get it. what is so difficult to understand? if it’s a desk job, then academic requirements should apply–if you’re too dumb no matter what sex you are–you don’t get it.

why do they make this difficult?

  12. Just The News: “The Federal Reserve on Wednesday cut its benchmark interest rate for the second time this year. The Fed cut the rate by a quarter of a percentage point. The federal funds rate is now at 3.75% to 4%.

The cut comes amid a roughly four-week-long partial federal government shutdown, and follows a Bureau of Labor Statistics report last week, the Consumer Price Index, that showed the costs of goods increased slightly, for the first time since January.

The central bank last month cut its benchmark interest rate a quarter of a percentage point, its first such reduction this year, in an attempt to jump start a slowing labor market. “

“Democrats Vow To Starve As Many Food Stamp Recipients As It Takes To Get Free Healthcare For Illegal Immigrants”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Democrats have taken a bold stand by vowing to starve as many food stamp recipients as it takes to get free healthcare for illegal immigrants.

According to prominent Democratic leaders, starving a couple million kids is a small price to pay to ensure that blue states continue to provide free healthcare to illegal immigrants.

“If you’re going to make an omelette, you’ve got to crack a few eggs. And if you’re going to give free healthcare to illegal immigrants, you’ve got to let some children go hungry,” said Senator Cory Booker. “Honestly, who cares? Kids can’t vote. Plus, they’re very resilient, they can dig around in some dumpsters, or forage for berries or whatever. Cry harder.”

Booker’s statement was echoed by other intellectual pillars of the Democrat Party.

“It’s, like, not hard for kids to find food. There are stores literally filled with food,” said Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “Some food even grows in the ground, and the ground is everywhere, so technically, they can get food from anywhere. You just, like, dig the food out of the ground or whatever.”

At publishing time, Democrats had vowed to personally go to grocery stores to filibuster poor people attempting to buy food.

Image for article: America's Obesity Crisis Solved As EBT Benefits Run Out

U.S. — The American Medical Association announced the long battle with American obesity had finally come to an end thanks to EBT benefits running out amidst the ongoing government shut down.

“The government being shut down is the best thing that could ever have happened to the health of the American people,” said Dr. Anton Scout, a pediatrician and AMA board member. “People can’t afford to get fat anymore.”

EBT benefits are designed to assist lower-income families with basic needs like buying soda, paying for the Internet, and going to zoos. The program has long been criticized for encouraging emotional eating for people without jobs. But no more, says United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “Get a job, fatty,” he said.

For the first time in decades, Americans are losing weight, and they owe it all to the government shutdown. “Help me, I’m starving,” said Natalie Graves, a lower-income mother from Tennessee. “I’ll eat anything as long as it’s not fruits or vegetables.”

Democrats slammed the ongoing shutdown they’ve caused, blaming Republicans for the lack of EBT funding. “My constituents need to live off the government or they’ll turn on me,” warned Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. “Please, give in to our unreasonable demands and reopen the government.”

At publishing time, President Trump said he was so impressed with the results of the government shutdown that he had encouraged Republicans to keep it shut forever.

  16. “Hurricane Melissa has moved on from Jamaica. The storm is about 770 miles wide – which is close to the size of Texas. The incredibly powerful storm has sustained winds of 115 mph and is moving about 12 mph. The NHS said the storm will bring “damaging winds, flooding rains, and dangerous storm surge” as it moves over eastern Cuba. The storm is one of the strongest to ever form in the Atlantic after its sustained winds reached 185 mph. Hurricane Allen in 1980 had 190 mph winds.”

  21. A LOT of detail…..I bolded the paragraph that I think is probably the MOST egregious….the icing on the cake, so-to-speak!!!

EXCERPT: “Then-Special Counsel Jack Smith issued nearly 200 subpoenas in his sweeping Arctic Frost-linked case against President Donald Trump related to the 2020 election and the events of January 6, 2021, seeking records on more than 400 Republican personalities and groups, according to records related Wednesday by a top Senate investigator.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, made public 197 subpoenas which Smith and his Biden-era DOJ team issued “as part of the indiscriminate election case against President Trump,” the Republican senator’s office said on Wednesday. Smith’s case began at the FBI — led at the time by now-former FBI Director Chris Wray — under the codename of “Arctic Frost.”

The records released by Grassley provide even more new insights into the sweeping investigation aimed at Trump World, which was launched by the FBI and later picked up by Smith under then-Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The GOP-led House Judiciary Committee had previously disclosed on Tuesday that more than 160 Republicans – including many closely connected to Trump – were targeted for possible investigation during the Arctic Frost investigation.

Grassley’s office said the subpoenas, which were provided to him by whistleblowers, were sent to 34 people and 163 businesses, and that the subpoenas “requested testimony, communications, and records related to at least 430 named Republican individuals and entities.”

The records Smith subpoenaed included “communications with media companies such as CBS, Fox News, Fox Business, Newsmax, Sinclair, and others,” Grassley’s office said, as well as “communications with White House advisors” such as Stephen Miller, Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, senior adviser Dan Scavino, Trump daughter-in-law Lara Trump, and others.

The 197 subpoenas, totaling more than 1,700 pages long, also went after “statistical data and analysis relating to donors and fundraising efforts” and “broad financial data relating to conservative individuals and entities,” the Iowa Republican’s office said.

On top of this, the subpoenas also related to communications with “any member, employee or agent of the Legislative Branch of the U.S. Government.”…….
