On January 31, 2013, a 21-year-old Canadian student named Elisa Lam vanished inside Los Angeles’ Cecil Hotel — then her dead body turned up in its water tank.
To this day, nobody knows how exactly Elisa Lam died. We know that the 21-year-old Canadian college student was last seen in the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles on January 31, 2013. But the infamously chilling hotel surveillance video that captured the bizarre final moments before her disappearance — let alone the other details that have emerged since — have only elicited more questions than answers.
And ever since her body was discovered in the hotel’s water tank on February 19, her tragic demise has remained shrouded in mystery.
“In 22 years plus of doing this job as a news reporter, this is one of those cases that kinda sticks with me because we know the who, what, when, where. But the why is always the question,” said NBC LA reporter Lolita Lopez in reference to the mysterious death of Elisa Lam.
Although the coroner’s office ruled her death as an “accidental drowning,” the strange details of Elisa Lam’s case have fueled rampant speculation about what may have really happened. Internet sleuths have come up with a myriad of theories about the tragedy, involving everything from murder conspiracies to evil spirits. But when it comes to the disturbing death of Elisa Lam, where does the truth lie?
The Vanishing Of Elisa Lam
On Jan. 26, 2013, Elisa Lam arrived in LA. She had just come by Amtrak train from San Diego and was headed to Santa Cruz as part of her solo trip around the West Coast. The trip was supposed to be a getaway from her studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where she was originally from.
Her family had been wary of her traveling by herself but the young student was determined to go at it alone. As a compromise, Lam made sure to check in with her parents every day of the trip to let them know that she was safe.

That’s why it struck her parents as unusual when they didn’t hear from their daughter on Jan. 31, the day she was scheduled to check out of the Cecil Hotel in LA. The Lams eventually contacted the Los Angeles Police Department. The police searched the premises of the Cecil but couldn’t find her.
Police soon released surveillance footage taken from the cameras at the Cecil Hotel on their website. This is where things took a turn into the truly bizarre.
The hotel video showed Elisa Lam in one of its elevators on the date of her disappearance acting rather strangely. In the pixelated footage, Lam can be seen stepping into the elevator and pushing all the floor buttons. She steps in and out of the elevator, poking her head out sideways toward the hotel’s hallways in between. She peers out of the elevator another few times before stepping out of the elevator entirely.
The last minutes of the video show Lam standing by the left side of the door, moving her hands in random gestures. Nobody else was captured on the video, except Lam.
Public reaction to the inexplicable video crossed all the way to Canada and China, where Lam’s family is originally from. The four-minute video of Lam’s strange elevator episode has amassed tens of millions of views.
The Accidental Discovery Of The Body In The Cecil Hotel’s Water Tank

On Feb. 19, two weeks after the video was published by authorities, maintenance worker Santiago Lopez found Elisa Lam’s dead body floating in one of the hotel water tanks. Lopez made the discovery after responding to complaints from hotel patrons about low water pressure and a weird taste coming from the tap water.
According to a statement by the chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the tank in which Lam’s body was found had to be drained completely and then cut open from the side to remove her five-foot-four frame.
Nobody knows how Lam’s corpse — floating lifelessly next to the same clothes she wore in the surveillance video — ended up in the hotel’s water tank or who else might have been involved. Hotel staff told authorities that Lam was always seen by herself around the hotel premises.
But at least one person did see Lam soon before her death. At a nearby shop, eerily named The Last Bookstore, owner Katie Orphan was among the last to see Elisa Lam alive. Orphan remembered the college student buying books and music for her family back in Vancouver.
“It seemed like [Lam] had plans to return home, plans to give things to her family members and reconnect with them,” Orphan told CBS LA.
When the autopsy results for Elisa Lam’s case came out, it only served to ignite more questions. The toxicology report confirmed that Lam had consumed a number of medical drugs, likely to be medication for her bipolar disorder. But there were no indications of alcohol or illegal substances in her body.
An Incomplete Autopsy Fuels Wild Theories About What Happened To Elisa Lam
Soon after the toxicology report came out, amateur sleuths began poring over any information they could find in hopes of solving the mystery behind the death of Elisa Lam. For example, one summary of Lam’s toxicology report was posted online by a Reddit sleuth with an obvious interest in medicine.
The breakdown pointed out three key observations: 1) Lam took at least one antidepressant that day; 2) Lam had taken her second antidepressant and mood stabilizer recently, but not that day; and 3) Lam had not taken her anti-psychotic recently. These conclusions suggested that Lam, who had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression, may have not been taking her medications properly.
It is an important finding to note given that the use of antidepressants to treat bipolar disorder can risk inducing manic side effects if done without caution. Some sleuths have understandably latched onto this detail and suggested it was a likely explanation behind Lam’s strange behavior in the elevator.
Hotel manager Amy Price’s statements in court strongly support this theory. During Lam’s stay at the Cecil Hotel, Price said that Lam was originally booked in a hostel-style shared room with others. However, complaints of “odd behavior” from Lam’s roommates forced Lam to be moved to a private room by herself.
But even if Elisa Lam had been suffering from mental health issues, how did she end up dead? Furthermore, how did she end up in the hotel’s water tank?
The autopsy did not show any foul play from the evidence that was processed. But the coroner’s office noted that they were unable to do a full examination because they could not examine the blood from Lam’s decomposing body.
Who’s Responsible For The Death Of Elisa Lam?

David and Yinna Lam filed a wrongful death suit against the Cecil Hotel several months after their daughter’s death was uncovered. The Lams’ attorney stated that the hotel had a duty to “inspect and seek out hazards in the hotel that presented an unreasonable risk of danger to [Lam] and other hotel guests.”
The hotel fought back against the suit, filing a motion to dismiss it. The hotel’s lawyer argued that the hotel had no reason to think that someone would be able to get into one of their water tanks.
Based on court statements from the hotel’s maintenance staff, the hotel’s argument is not entirely far-fetched. Santiago Lopez, who was the first to find Lam’s body, described in detail how much effort he had to exert just to find her body.
Lopez said that he took the elevator to the 15th floor of the hotel before walking up the staircase to the roof. Then, he had to first turn off the rooftop alarm and climb up on the platform where the hotel’s four water tanks were located. Finally, he had to climb another ladder to get to the top of the main tank. Only after all that did he notice something unusual.
“I noticed the hatch to the main water tank was open and looked inside and saw an Asian woman lying face-up in the water approximately twelve inches from the top of the tank,” Lopez said. Lopez’s testimony suggested that it would have been difficult for Lam to make it to the top of the water tank on her own. At least, not without anyone noticing.
The hotel’s Chief Engineer Pedro Tovar also made it clear that it would be difficult for anyone to access the rooftop, where the hotel water tanks were located, without triggering the alarms. Only hotel employees would be able to deactivate the alarm properly. If it was triggered, the sound of the alarm would reach the front desk as well as the entire top two floors of the hotel.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Howard Halm ruled that the death of Elisa Lam was “unforseeable” because it had happened in an area that guests were not allowed to access, so the lawsuit was dismissed.
The Chilling Backstory Of The Cecil Hotel

Elisa Lam’s mysterious demise was not the first to happen at the Cecil Hotel. In fact, the building’s sordid past has earned it a reputation as one of the most supposedly haunted properties in Los Angeles.
Since opening its doors in 1927, the Cecil Hotel has been plagued by 16 different non-natural deaths and unexplained paranormal events. The most famous death associated with the hotel, other than Lam’s, was the 1947 murder of actress Elizabeth Short, a.k.a. the “Black Dahlia,” who was reportedly seen drinking at the hotel bar in the days before her grisly demise.
The hotel has also hosted some of the country’s most notorious killers. In 1985, Richard Ramirez, also known as the “Night Stalker,” lived on the top floor of the hotel during his monstrous killing spree. The story goes that after a murder, Ramirez would dump his bloody clothes outside the hotel and return half-naked. Back then, the hotel was in such disarray that Ramirez’ nude stunt barely raised an eyebrow.
Six years later, another murderous patron moved into the hotel: Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger, who earned the nickname “Vienna Strangler.”
With such a macabre history, one would think that the Cecil Hotel would soon be condemned. But actually, the building was recently granted landmark status by the Los Angeles City Council. The hotel was given the distinction because of the building’s opening back in the 1920s, which is considered the beginning of the lodging industry in the United States.
Meanwhile, the tragic death of Elisa Lam at the hotel has inspired pop culture adaptations like Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Hotel.
During a press conference for the show, Murphy stated that the new season “was inspired by a surveillance video from a Los Angeles-based hotel that surfaced two years ago. The footage showed a girl in an elevator who was never seen again.” An obvious reference to Elisa Lam and her bizarre elevator episode.
More recently, a gaming studio came under fire after users of the game YIIK: A Postmodern RPG found undeniable resemblances to Lam’s case in the storyline. In one scene of the game, main character Alex receives a video file showing another character, Sammy, in an elevator. The elevator door opens to reveal an alternate dimension on the other side; Sammy is then captured by a demon, kicking and screaming all the while.
In a 2016 interview with Waypoint, Andrew Allanson, co-founder of Acck Studios, which is the company behind the YIIK game, talked about how the death of Elisa Lam had influenced its development, saying that:
“There still hasn’t been a great official story about her… I remember on local news they reported it from the gross-out angle because people drank water that a corpse had been floating in. That’s unfortunate, but what about the poor girl who died? It’s easy to say she was off her meds, but why can’t people think a bit more about her as a person?”
While an answer to the mystery behind the death of Elisa Lam remains unclear, the obsession surrounding that mystery has remained in the public consciousness ever since.

Good morning! 61 here this morning, partly cloudy. What do you do at night – leave a banked fire in the woodstove? No doubt you’ve mentioned it before but I don’t remember! LOL
I remember this story from Castle!
“The episode “Watershed,” the season five finale of the TV series Castle, features the discovery of a young woman’s body floating in the rooftop water tank of a skid row flop house. This plot point is directly inspired by the real-life case of Elisa Lam, a Canadian university student whose body was found in a water tank atop the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles in February 2013. The fictional case in the episode mirrors the real event, including the discovery of the body due to guest complaints about the water supply and the release of surveillance footage showing the victim’s unusual behavior in an elevator shortly before her disappearance. The episode aired on May 13, 2013, and the storyline was noted for its resemblance to the unsolved Elisa Lam case.”

In the show, it was discovered when bloody water starting coming from a shower head in one of the rooms.
EXCERPT: “Hero of Another Story: Erika Albrook, the Amateur Sleuth Victim of the Week, was an honors computer science student at Harvard out to expose the cover-up of her friend’s death in a drunk driving crash. She had a pretty clever way of staying under the radar by living in a Skid Row apartment to get anonymous access to their wi-fi and playing audiotapes of people having sex to trick everyone into thinking she was just a prostitute. In an episode with a major focus on the Castle and Beckett plotline, her story still manages to be pretty captivating.”

🚨 BREAKING: In a bombshell revelation, US Attorney Bill Essayli just exposed that California Democrat officials oversaw MASSIVE homelessness fund fraud
It has resulted in MILLIONS of dollars worth of fraudulent spending.
“Billions of California tax dollars intended to solve homelessness…they had little to no progress. California state officials FAILED to provide meaningful oversight over the individuals who received most of these funds.”
The state agency paid $26 MILLION for a fraudulent project – the developer did NOT complete construction. Essayli says at least $2.2M was diverted to pay the person’s American Express credit card.
“He stole the money.”
“Accountability starts today…we’re making public 2 criminal cases relating to 2 separate real estate developers involved in misappropriating MILLIONS of state funds intended to combat homelessness.”

George and Alex might just be going down…
And here it is:
Documents declassified by CIA Director John Ratcliffe — at the Olympic level.
Emails from George Soros’ Open Society Terrorist Foundation:
“It will be a long-term affair to demonize Putin and Trump,” approved by HRC — Hillary Rodham Clinton — “to tie Trump to Russia as a means of distracting people from her own missing emails, especially if the affair reaches an Olympic level. For now, it serves to provide a post-convention bounce. Later, the FBI will be right there to add more oil to the fire.”
In other words — yes indeed — Barack Hussein Obama was right there, taking it to the Olympic level by ordering a manufactured ICA report as part of a seditious conspiracy to overthrow the United States government in 2016 — and a long-term affair to overthrow the duly elected president of the United States in 2017.
Followed by two impeachments, multiple investigations, indictments, raids, two assassination attempts, and ultimately, the overthrow of the U.S. government in 2020.
Any questions?

“Patel says FBI found more weaponization crimes, close to solving command and funding for Antifa — Follow the money: Among other things, FBI boss says probes have found fascinating connections between traditional anarchist groups like Antifa and transgender activist groups that are incubating in places like social media platforms favored by gamers.”
Just The News, By John Solomon, October 17, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “FBI Director Kash Patel tells Just the News that the bureau is “on the verge” of unmasking the command structure and financing for anarchist groups like Antifa that have unleashed unrest around America and has also identified potential new criminal activity related to the abuse of federal law enforcement and intelligence.
“We are looking at so many different leads on criminal activity by those who are in positions of power, and we’re not going to stop until every single one of those is fully exposed,” Patel said during a wide-ranging interview this week on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show.
When asked whether more indictments against those accused of weaponizing government may be ahead, he said: “the documents are provided either to Congress or the courts of law and we make every referral we can under the Department of Justice. “These indictments that you’ve seen, and the ones that you’re going to see coming up here in this near future, are just the beginning,” he added.
Weaponization: Two related indictments already
The director, a close ally of President Donald Trump, has pressed his team to uncover tens of thousands of pages of documents long withheld from Congress that chronicle abuses by law enforcement and intelligence agencies in scandals spanning from Russiagate and Ukraine impeachment to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and the raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
Those documents have already led to the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey for allegedly making false statements to thwart Congress during an investigation of news leaks and the indictment Thursday of former National Security Advisor John Bolton for the mishandling of classified information.
Patel asked Americans to be patient, saying some of the abuses of a weaponized government were systematically built over many years and are complex to unravel.
“I have to remind the audience of one thing. Everybody’s like, it’s seven months. What have you guys been doing? Well, they spent 20 years building this diseased temple of corruption,” he said. “It takes a little bit of time to defeat it and beat it down. I’m not asking you to trust me. I’m asking you to look at the work the men and women of the FBI have done so far in these seven, eight months, and just imagine what we’re going to do come the year’s end.”
Unraveling the mysteries of Antifa
Patel said one area where the FBI has made rapid progress is the tracking of financing and command structures of anarchist groups like Antifa that have fomented unrest in American cities, attacks on Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents rounding up illegal immigrants and antisemitic movements on college campuses.
He said there are indications that some support may come from overseas enemies and U.S. nonprofit groups that have tax exemptions from the IRS.
“Look, the thing I can tell you is that money doesn’t lie, and the thing we’re doing at the FBI is following the money,” Patel explained. “And thanks to President Trump, we now have Antifa designated, rightfully so, as a domestic terror organization. And we have had multiple investigations going on.”
Patel said those probes are “mapping out the money, and we are using social media and the influencers that the President had here just this last week, because they’re the ones on the ground, getting us ground level intelligence, because law enforcement isn’t able to enter these spaces, and these people are brave enough to do it.”
Patel’s comments came as a federal grand jury on Wednesday night indicted two people allegedly tied to Antifa on terrorism charges for an attack in July on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Texas.
The two individuals, identified as Cameron Arnold and Zachary Evetts, were charged with providing material support for terrorism, attempting to murder federal and assisting officers and discharging firearms during attempted murders. You can read that indictment here: Antifa indictment
Entirely new program and division planned
That indictment undercut the argument made by many Democrats and even some journalists who have argued that Antifa is not a group, but rather just a mere ideology. Most notably, Keith Ellison, attorney general of Minnesota, recently said that “nobody even knows what it is,” but conservative pundits were quick to point to receipts, such as Powerlineblog.com, which published a photo of Ellison proudly holding a book in 2018 titled, “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook.”
Patel told Just the News that the effort tracking Antifa funding has become so important that “we’ve created an entire new program and division dedicated to rooting out the money that is funding these operations, whether it’s U.S. based or internationally.”
“Someone is paying for this. These are organized acts of violence, fully funded by people who don’t even live necessarily in these communities, showing up in the dozens with the same placards, the same helmets, the same riot gear. Someone’s paying for it, and we’re on the verge of finding that out next to these new authorities,” he added.
The FBI’s top boss detailed that these probes have found fascinating connections, including between traditional anarchist groups like Antifa and transgender activist groups that are incubating in places like social media platforms favored by gamers.
Patel: “Social media is wildly out of control”
“I think there’s going to be some crossover, for sure,” he said. “But what that raises in my mind is a problem that I’ve been trying to tackle for a long time: social media is wildly out of control. I mean our kids are allowed to go on these gaming platforms for fair purposes, gaming.”
“But then, unfortunately, you have the child predators that go on these gaming platforms. You have Antifa that goes on these gaming platforms and no one’s overseeing them, because our kids aren’t monitored while they’re on these platforms, and they’re taking advantage of lawful use of these mechanisms to make basically an anarchist system that wants to take down the United States government,” he said.
“And that’s why this threat is so real, and that’s why we in this White House and this administration are so fervently tackling it with every resource we have at the FBI,” he said.
Patel confirmed that he is similarly concerned that foreign enemies from Iran, China, Cuba and Venezuela may also be involved in creating a toxic brew of radicalization in this network. “I think they were, before President Trump sealed the border, they were coming in by the thousands, these criminals, and they were taking advantage of America and our resources that are supposed to be for our citizens who are lawfully here,” he said.”

The purge of insubordinate bad actors at the DOJ continues.
Acting DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro reportedly confronted Jon Hooks, a longtime DOJ attorney and chief of a key unit in the office, last month for slow walking what she considered high-priority cases including an investigation into the Biden $20 billion money laundering “climate” scam right before the 2024 election; the doctoring of DC crime data; and Soros linked groups funding violent protests/domestic terrorism.
MSNBC: “The night after his confrontation with Pirro, Hooks gave notice that he would resign from the U.S. attorney’s office by the end of October, intending to stay on long enough to help hand off the reins and key cases to his replacement. But instead, days later, a Pirro deputy notified Hooks at a farewell party for fellow prosecutors in the D.C. office that he was being fired immediately,.” Sources tell me he was not allowed back into the building.
Given Hooks’ resume, it is very likely he was involved in the investigation into President Trump for the events of Jan 6. Hooks was one of JP Cooney’s deputies before he succeeded him as chief of the fraud, public corruption, and civil rights section.
Cooney helped lead the Trump J6 investigation at the DC US Attorney’s office; he also brought charges against Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro.
Hooks was promoted–presumably by then DC US Attorney Matt Graves–to succeed Cooney, who a few months later was detailed to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office.
What remains fascinating is how these “career” prosecutors never spoke up against the political prosecutions of Trump, his associates, and his voters on fake crimes but now REFUSE to proceed with pursuing charges for demonstrable crimes.
Good riddance…

Just The News: “Former National Security Advisor John Bolton on Friday pleaded not guilty to all 18 charges in a grand indictment handed down a day earlier. Bolton pleaded before a magistrate judge in Maryland in a roughly 20-minute proceeding.
The national security adviser to President Donald Trump during his first term, who later became a vocal Trump critic, was charged with storing top-secret records at home and sharing with relatives diary-like notes about his time in the administration that contained classified information. The indictment also suggests classified information was exposed when operatives believed to be linked to the Iranian regime hacked Bolton’s email account, according to the Associated Press.
Bolton’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, says his client did not unlawfully share or store any information.”

“DOJ Brings Terrorism Charges Against ‘Militant’ Antifa Cell That Attacked ICE Facility”
The Federalist, By: Catherine Gripp, October 16, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A federal grand jury indicted two alleged Antifa members on counts of “providing material support to terrorists,” the “attempted murder of officers and employees of the United States,” and “discharging firearms during, in relation to, and in furtherance of a crime of violence,” according to the indictment. These are reportedly the first terrorism charges associated with Antifa.
The charges originate from a July 4 attack on the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, allegedly by Cameron Arnold, Zachary Evetts, indicted, and several co-conspirators, as previously reported by The Federalist. The Department of Homeland Security was using the facility to house illegal migrants ahead of their deportation.
According to the indictment, attackers “began by shooting fireworks toward the facility and vandalizing vehicles and a guard shed.” DHS personnel contacted local law enforcement for support.
The indictment says an alleged Antifa member (labeled “Coconspirator-1”) yelled, “get to the rifles” and fired on the officers. He hit an Alvarado police officer, who returned fire, the document says. The attackers left after Coconspirator-1’s rifle jammed. Police arrested “most of the Antifa cell shortly after the attack,” and arrested Arnold the next day, according to the indictment.
The indictment describes Antifa as a “militant enterprise made up of networks of individuals and small groups, primarily ascribing to a revolutionary anarchist or autonomous Marxist ideology, which explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and the system of law.”
The document acknowledged a pattern “beginning in 2025” of “Antifa adherents” targeting ICE facilities and agents, in protest of “policy on the removal of illegal aliens.” It cites one Antifa member in an encrypted chat saying, “I’m done with peaceful protests” and “Blue lives don’t matter.”
President Trump officially designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization last month.”

“Please pardon this use of the word ‘petrol’ when, in fact, they mean gasoline, but then again this is a report from a British source – I say, old chap…
Analysis of 800,000 European cars found real-world pollution from plug-in hybrids nearly five times greater than lab tests.. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) pump out nearly five times more planet-heating pollution than official figures show, a report has found.
The cars, which can run on electric batteries as well as combustion engines, have been promoted by European carmakers as a way to cover long distances in a single drive – unlike fully electric cars – while still reducing emissions. Data shows PHEVs emit just 19% less CO2 than petrol and diesel cars, an analysis by the non-profit advocacy group Transport and Environment found on Thursday. Under laboratory tests, they were assumed to be 75% less polluting.
The researchers analyzed data from the onboard fuel consumption meters of 800,000 cars registered in Europe between 2021 and 2023. They found real-world carbon dioxide emissions from PHEVs in 2023 were 4.9 times greater than those from standardized laboratory tests, having risen from being 3.5 times greater in 2021.”

Just The News: “The United Kingdom’s Prince Andrew said he will give up his Duke of York title and honors amid new questions over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender with whom he had a friendship.
The prince, who is King Charles’ younger brother, said in a statement issued via Buckingham Palace that he would “no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me,” NBC News reported.
He said the decision was taken “in discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family,” after concluding that “the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me,” he also said.
In 2019, Andrew stepped back from public duties and returned his military affiliations and later royal patronages in January 2022, after his lawyers were unable to persuade a U.S. judge to dismiss a lawsuit accusing him of sexual abuse.
Later, Andrew paid a substantial sum to the late Epstein abuse survivor Virginia Giuffre, who alleged that he sexually abused her when she was 17. He has repeatedly denied the allegation.
In a posthumous memoir by Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre set to be released in the coming day, she gives an expanded account about her long-standing claims to have been sexually trafficked by Epstein to billionaires, politicians and with Andrew when she was 17, according to CBS News.”

“No Kings, No Secrets: The Dark Money Behind America’s “Grassroots” Protests”
Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Oct 17, 2025
“This weekend, millions are expected to flood the streets chanting “No Kings, No Secrets” in what’s being sold as a grassroots rebellion against authoritarianism. But peel back the curtain, and you’ll find a different story: one of dark money elite networks and carefully coordinated narratives. This isn’t the voice of the people; it’s a well-funded operation designed to shape perceptions and control outcomes.
Amid the orchestrated chants of No Kings No Secrets there is zero excitement for this demonic cause. What is presented as a grassroots movement is instead a hollow spectacle driven by a web of dark money and hidden agendas. The substantial funding from networks like Arabella Soros and others totaling nearly 294.5 million dollars reveals a calculated effort to manipulate public perception rather than a genuine uprising. This top-down manipulation, lacking the organic passion of true activism, leaves little room for enthusiasm, exposing it as a manufactured narrative.
Over 2500 No Kings protests are scheduled for October 18 across all 50 states, orchestrated by a coalition of over 200 groups, including Indivisible, the ACLU, and SEIU. On the surface, it looks like a broad coalition. But dig deeper and you’ll see these organizations share the same donors, lawyers, and fiscal sponsors, entities like the Sixteen Thirty Fund tied to George Soros’s Open Society Foundations. Politico has called this fund the left’s dark money powerhouse, and for good reason, it funnels hundreds of millions into political operations disguised as civic engagement.
The playbook is simple but effective. Fiscal sponsors like Arabella create shell nonprofits that spin off countless sub-projects, each with a noble-sounding name but zero public accountability. These groups pay for protest signs, organizers’ travel, and media campaigns, creating the illusion of a groundswell while the puppet masters remain hidden. As a crowd-for-hire CEO recently admitted, paid agitators and foreign influence are part of the mix. This isn’t activism but information warfare.
We’ve seen this before. The Color Revolutions overseas followed a similar formula: Western NGOs pulling strings with money, media, and messaging in perfect sync. The 2020 Summer of Justice protests: Millions went into bail funds tied to political PACs. Those election-year civic engagement drives: Always hitting the same swing states. The pattern is clear. The slogans change, but the players behind the curtain don’t.
Senator Ted Cruz is now calling for a federal investigation into the money web behind No Kings and even pushing for RICO scrutiny on these fiscal sponsors. The coordination is too perfect, the slogans too polished, the timing too convenient, and the media are all singing the same tune. As one X post put it, this is not simply a political protest but information warfare. Money fuels movements, movements shape perception, and perception drives policy. You don’t need bullets to win that kind of war; you only need belief.
To separate real activism from manufactured dissent, start asking the tough questions: Who’s paying for the buses’ training and signage? Who’s providing media coordination and digital advertising? What fiscal sponsor processes their donations? Which national talking points appear word-for-word across supposedly local chapters? Real grassroots movements are messy, unpredictable, and often underfunded. This one is none of those things.
Elite networks hiding behind nonprofits and moral slogans exploit real people with real anger. The best disinfectant is exposure. Until we rip the veil off this dark money machine, exposing the millions funneled through shadowy fronts and the puppet masters pulling the strings, this cycle of manufactured outrage and laundered cash will keep masquerading as change. The American people deserve the truth, and we must fight for it.”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump on Friday asked the Supreme Court to permit his deployment of the National Guard to Chicago after a three-judge panel of a lower court upheld an initial stay on the move.
“This Court should stay the district court’s October 9 injunction in its entirety,” the solicitor general argued, according to The Hill. “The injunction improperly impinges on the President’s authority and needlessly endangers federal personnel and property.”
The Department of Justice’s request followed the panel determining that “[t]here was insufficient evidence of rebellion or a danger of a rebellion, nor was there sufficient evidence that the President was unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States.”
U.S. District Judge April Perry issued the initial stay. Trump has sought to deploy the guard to the Windy City in a bid to crack down on crime and illegal immigration. He previously deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles to contend with anti-ICE riots there.”
