The telescope fish is a unique, brightly colored fish that can be found in deep-sea tropical and subtropical waters. It lives three-quarter miles to 1.3 miles beneath the surface. These fish dwell in the deep, far from natural light and away from the surface. To make up for it, Mother Nature endowed the telescope fish with tubular eyes that protrude from the head like binoculars.
The fish has adapted its eyes to see and seek prey in the most mesopelagic twilight zones of the ocean. The fish employs its distinct eyes to find food. They swim, directing the attention upward to surfaces. They may discern silhouettes of their prey this way. The fish move vertically in the water column to observe both food and predator.
Size
The typical length of a telescope fish is between two and four inches. However, it can grow up to half a foot long in rare cases. A single case has been documented where a specimen reached 16 inches in length.
Nomenclature
The telescope fish is a deep-sea aulopiform species of fish named Gigantura chuni. There are only two species in the world. Outside of that, little is known about the creatures. The genus name (Gigantura) is taken from Greek mythology’s Gigantes, a legendary group of giants.
The “oura” suffix means “end” or “tail,” and the word is a reference to the ribbon-like, elongated lower tailfin that makes up half of the fish’s total length.

Species of Telescope Fish
We do not know much about the telescope fish, but we do know that there are two species.
Gigantura Chuni
The Gigantura chuni, is a deep-sea creature that may be found in the Indian, Atlantic, and Pacific oceans. It also inhabits the Gulf of Mexico. In recent years, there have been sightings in South Africa as well. It has been observed in the seas of New Zealand, Chile, Saint Paul, Tasmania, and Gough Island.
Gigantura Indica
The Gigantura indica is a deep-sea creature with a silvery, scaleless body and tubular, forward-pointing eyes with large lenses and a ribbon-like tail. The animal’s eyes are similar to those of its cousin, the Gigantura chuni, which have tubular, ahead-directed eyes with big lenses.
Both species are adapted to specific water depths and environments. This is why experts do not believe the species suitable for captivity. This fish is superior in temperate seas, thus making difficult to adapt to tanks.
The overall cost of maintaining and protecting an environment for the telescope fish, as well as the expense of the animal itself, is prohibitively high.
Telescope Fish Appearance
The eyes of aequidens are extremely large, protruding, and have delicate glass screens. The bubbles lenses include around two dozen dorsal spines. From the correct perspective, they appear to be binoculars or more precisely, a pair of telescopes.
Telescope fish have big heads and a greenish-blue color with a silvery underside. The fish have blue dotting and tiny brown lines that form stripes along the sides and back. The fish have gritty, slimy scales and a pointy nose. The tail accounts for almost half of the fish’s total length.

Habitat
The telescope fish is found in tropical and subtropical waters all over world. Some countries territorial waters where they are most prevalent include New Zealand, Tasmania and Chile.
The population, which is not closely watched, is considered robust and of “Least Concern” by conservation organizations.
In several situations, such as the IUCN, the fish are not evaluated at all. There isn’t enough information about the numbers to generate trustworthy statistics because there aren’t enough records on them.
The fish’s range includes sub-Antarctic bodies of temperate cool seas with a habitat that ranges across the world’s oceans.
The telescopic scope is positioned more than 66 feet underwater in the water columns and up to 2,000 miles beneath the ocean floors. They may also be found in surge channels and vast low tide pools.
The telescope fish is a solitary by nature, but it will travel in groups. You’ll never see one its own. Grouping together makes for simpler hunting. It’s also a great way for the animals to keep an eye out for predators while everyone else is sleeping.
Predators and Prey
The telescope fish, like all other living animals, has its enemies and favorite foods. Let’s look at both of them now.
Predators
Due to their diminutive size, telescope fish are prey for larger carnivorous fish and sharks that dwell in these habitats.
Prey
This species is an active predator that can’t wait to get its teeth on bristlemouths, lanternfish, and barbed dragonfish. Like the sucker fish, they’ll also go after plankton.
The telescope fish engulfs its prey whole. Sea creatures that are frequently larger than it are among the victims. However, such a technique of consuming is typical for animals at those depths.
It has a long, flexible jaw with razor-sharp teeth. They capture food quickly, usually from below, whilst constantly looking upwards from the ocean floor.

ISLAMIC THREAT!
Islamic Supremacists Plot to Exploit MAGA’s Divide
— Islamize Texas, Penetrate Red States & Seize Power
A shocking new recording exposes British Islamic strategists Dilly Hussain and Muhammad Jalal mapping out a plan to infiltrate America’s conservative movement, focusing on Texas as their power base.
They discuss targeting MAGA influencers like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and Nick Fuentes, using them to redirect America’s conservative base toward Islamic “soft power.”
Their blueprint?
Texas is now the epicenter of Islamic influence in America.
Use Muslim converts to engage conservatives in town halls, churches, and community events.
Reframe Islam as a “moral ally” to win MAGA’s middle ground.
Undermine America’s alliances and global leadership.
This isn’t a theory — it’s their own words.
A long-term campaign of cultural infiltration, ideological grooming, and soft-power warfare.

“Allies Reassured, Adversaries Deterred Early in Trump’s Second Term… Compared to Biden’s Turbulent Legacy”
Sharyl Attkisson, Oct 14, 2025
EXCERPT: “In the nine months since Donald Trump’s inauguration for his second term on January 20, the global landscape has undergone a dramatic shift. From the vantage point of America’s allies and adversaries, the contrast with the Biden administration’s foreign policy—marked by perceived weaknesses, lapses, and cascading crises—could not be starker.
Under Trump, a doctrine of “peace through strength” has materialized in bold actions: brokering ceasefires across multiple conflicts, forging unprecedented Middle East peace deals, and decisively neutralizing Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
This analysis explores how these developments are perceived worldwide, drawing on expert assessments and recent events to highlight the reversal from Biden-era instability to Trump’s assertive recalibration.
Read on for details.
The Biden Years: A Cascade of Crises and Perceived Weakness
The Biden administration’s foreign policy, spanning 2021 to 2025, is widely critiqued for projecting vulnerability that emboldened adversaries and unsettled allies.
The most emblematic failure was the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021, which saw the Islamic extremist Taliban swiftly reclaim power, 13 American service members killed in a terrorist attack during the melee, scored of Afghan civilians killed, and U.S. military equipment worth billions: abandoned.
Critics argue this debacle signaled American retreat, directly contributing to subsequent aggressions. As one congressional report noted, the withdrawal’s mishandling “illustrated the catastrophic failure” of Biden’s approach, fostering chaos at home and abroad.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, which followed, is often linked to this perceived U.S. frailty. Analysts contend that Russia President Vladimir Putin, observing the Afghanistan fallout, calculated minimal repercussions for his ambitions.
Biden’s response—providing aid but eschewing direct confrontation—failed to deter escalation, with Ukraine suffering massive casualties and infrastructure damage. Experts who predicted a quick Ukrainian victory if only the U.S. and the rest of the world flooded resources in their direction proved to be terribly wrong.
Foreign policy experts highlight how Biden’s “strategic failures” extended to Iran, where relaxed sanctions and diplomatic overtures allowed the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world to advance its nuclear program and Islamic extremist proxy activities against Israel unchecked…..”

Just The News: “The suspect in the arson of the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion in April pleaded guilty to all charges on Tuesday. Cody Balmer, 38, of Harrisburg, appeared in person for the court proceeding, which started around 8:30 am Eastern Time at the Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg, local news outlet WHP reported. Balmer pleaded guilty to all counts, including attempted first-degree murder, dozens of arson-related charges, and terrorism.
Balmer called 911 on the night of the arson and admitted to setting fire to Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s (D) residence with several Molotov cocktails around 2 a.m. Sunday, April 13. Shapiro said that he and his family had been inside asleep at the time.
Authorities said Balmer called 911 about an hour after the fire started and told dispatchers, “Governor Josh Shapiro needs to know that Cody Balmer will not take part in his plans in what he wants to do to the Palestinian people.”
In charging documents, police said that when asked what he would’ve done if Shapiro had caught him, Balmer said he would’ve beaten the governor with a hammer.
Balmer said when he first appeared in court to answer to the charges that concerns surrounding his mental health were rumors.”

“‘Islam must adapt to Sweden’ — Swedish deputy prime minister calls for public burqa and niqab ban — ‘You are very welcome to be a Muslim in Sweden, but not in the way that Islam is practiced in Iran and Afghanistan’”
ReMix News Staff, October 14, 2025
EXCERPT: “Sweden’s Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch has called for a nationwide ban on burqas and niqabs in all public places, saying the country must “wake up from its naivety” about Islamism and act decisively to protect Swedish values and social cohesion.
The Christian Democrats (KD) leader told Aftonbladet that she wants legislation prohibiting the full-face coverings in streets, squares, shops, healthcare facilities, and other public settings — a step beyond previous local attempts to ban them in schools and public workplaces that were struck down under current law.
“You should be able to meet for real if you are on the street, if you are shopping in the square, or taking the children to the health center. Then I don’t want to meet someone who has covered their entire face,” Busch said. She argued that the niqab and burqa are symbols of strict interpretations of Islam seen in totalitarian states, which she described as incompatible with Swedish society.
“Islam must adapt in Sweden. You can be a proud Swedish Muslim, Christian, Jew, or atheist, but there are fundamental Swedish values that must apply to us all,” she said.
Asked to clarify whether her proposal would amount to a ban on wearing the garments outside the home, Busch replied: “Yes, that’s it. We don’t want to see burqas and niqabs out in Swedish public. Then we can’t control, and shouldn’t control, what people do at home. But the burqa doesn’t belong in Sweden and we won’t pave the way for it.”
Busch said critics who accuse politicians of overreach by trying to regulate how people dress are guilty of “very naive liberalism” that has contributed to Sweden’s failed integration policies. She cited estimates that around a quarter of a million young people in Sweden live under conditions similar to honor oppression and said nearly 70,000 women in the country have undergone female genital mutilation…..”

Just The News: “House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan on Tuesday demanded that former special counsel Jack Smith testify before Congress about his probe of former President Donald Trump following revelations that the FBI accessed the phone records of several senators.
“As the Special Counsel, you are ultimately responsible for the prosecutorial misconduct and constitutional abuses of your office,” Jordan wrote to Smith. “Your misdeeds were so flagrant that the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility confirmed to the Committee in November 2024 that it had opened an inquiry into the tactics of your office.”
“Over the course of our oversight, we have written you several times to request documents relating to your politicized investigation. You failed to respond,” he added.
Then Attorney General Merrick Garland named Smith as special counsel following the August 2022 FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago. Smith ultimately brought charges against Trump over his alleged mishandling of classified materials, though he failed to secure a verdict prior to the election and he resigned before Trump took office.”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that the U.S. destroyed a Venezuelan boat off that country’s waters as Washington increasingly uses military force in a bid to shut down maritime drug trafficking.
“Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility — just off the Coast of Venezuela,” he posted on Truth Social.
“Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route,” he continued. “The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed.”
The strike marked the fifth such U.S. attack on Venezuelan vessels in a campaign that has seen some libertarian-leaning Republicans increasingly voice their frustrations with Trump’s exercise of executive authority.”

“A Man Powers Home for 8 Years Using 1,000 Old Laptop Batteries”
Piyush Gupta, 2025/04/05 at 7:03 AM
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A man has managed to power his home for eight years with a system using more than 1,000 recycled laptop batteries. This brilliant DIY project, based on the use of electronic waste, has worked flawlessly for straight 8 years without even the need to replace a single battery. He devised this a long time ago and it is what has been enough for powering his home during this time, independent of any outer electricity supply.
The project began in November 2016, when the creator, known with the alias Glubux on online forums, began sharing his plans in the Second Life Storage community. From the outset, his goal was clear: to generate energy for his home without relying on the electrical grid, through a combination of solar panels and recycled batteries.
In its early stages, it used a basic 1.4 kW solar panel system, along with an old 24V 460Ah forklift battery, charge controllers, and a 3 kVA inverter. However, its vision was to expand the system and take it beyond what it had initially achieved.
The centerpiece of their system is more than 1,000 secondhand laptop batteries. For many, old computer batteries are considered waste, but for Glubux, they represented an opportunity to create a completely independent as well as renewable energy source.
Reusing these batteries is a great idea and is an example of how it’s possible to give a second life to electronic waste, a sector in which the UN has noted that less than a quarter of the e-waste generated globally is properly collected and recycled.
The system was initially modest, but over time, Glubux began adding more and more recycled batteries. Soon, his installation grew from a small setup to a self-powered system consisting of 650 batteries.
This growth forced the creator to build a separate warehouse, located about 50 meters from his home, to store the batteries and the new charge controllers and inverters. The warehouse became a workshop where he assembled the battery packs, grouping them together to create blocks with a capacity of approximately 100 Ah each.
At first, he faced some obstacles. The battery discharge rates were uneven due to differences in the battery cells used, causing some to drain faster than others. However, the solution came with rearranging and adjusting the cells to ensure the packs worked more efficiently.
Glubux even began disassembling entire laptop batteries, removing individual cells and organizing them into custom racks. This task, which likely required a great deal of manual labor and technical knowledge, was key to making the system work effectively and sustainably.
The most amazing thing about this project is that, despite the initial difficulties and the experimental nature of the system, it has continued to operate uninterruptedly today. In its eight years of operation, not a single battery cell has needed to be replaced, a remarkable achievement considering the operating conditions and the nature of the recycled batteries.
In addition, over the years, Glubux has improved and expanded its solar panel system. Currently, its installation features 24 solar panels, each measuring 440W, allowing it to generate sufficient power even during the coldest months.
Despite being an unusual system, with recycled and homemade components, no major problems have been reported, such as fires or swollen batteries, which is a common issue with some second-hand electronic devices.
Glubux, for its part, continues to operate with complete confidence in its installation, which has not only been able to supply all of its home’s electricity, but also allows the operation of equipment such as the washing machine.”
