  1. Good Morning All!

We had a good visit with Mom yesterday–thanks Filly for minding the store! She was like her old self again, except she has no memory of why she went into the hospital in the first place. I told her about the UTI and she remembered her legs swelling, BUT she has no sense of time. When i asked how long she thinks she’s been away from her house and all, she thought 2 years.

Her room is nice, and she keeps it clean–she was that way at home too. She loved the goodies I brought her.

    Trump for President (Facebook).

“General Flynn has just declared that, with James Comey officially indicted, the floodgates are wide open! FBI WHISTLEBLOWERS are streaming in with bombshell revelations about the even more heinous crimes he orchestrated.

General Flynn: “We got whistleblowers coming out of the woodwork, and we’re funneling it into the right governmental offices to do the right things. And let me tell you, these people are busted. And so for Jim Comey, that’s why I said earlier, Jim, if you get this message, start thinking about what you’re going to give up because you’re going to give up some of your freedom, because you’re going to go to jail. You must go to jail because of what you did. But maybe they’ll cut you a little bit of a deal and they’ll put you in a softer prison for a shorter period of time because you’re able to give up some evidence on some of these other people who are even more deeper than you involved in this. Because Jim, you know exactly who I’m talking about.”

  5. Just The News: “Oregon sued the Trump administration late Sunday seeking to block President Donald Trump’s order to deploy 200 National Guard troops to the city of Portland to protect federal buildings. Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield joined the City of Portland in filing a preliminary injunction in U.S. District Court, arguing Trump’s order violates the Posse Comitatus Act and the 10th Amendment.

“Oregon communities are stable, and our local officials have been clear: we have the capacity to manage public safety without federal interference,” Rayfield said.

The suit came after Trump invoked Title 10, authorizing 200 Guard members to deploy to Portland for 60 days, including protecting federal property amid anti-ICE protests.

Gov. Tina Kotek also has objected to the deployment. “There is no insurrection or threat to public safety that necessitates military intervention in Portland or any other city in our state.” She emphasized that deploying the National Guard on Oregon streets is “an abuse of power and a disservice to our communities and our service members.”

  6. I went to WM yesterday to pick up a few things and a 50″ Vizio TV caught my eye on-sale for only $200. Since my big screen TV went out recently, I was getting tired of trying to see the tiny screen of the small one that was in Piper’s room all the way from my DR table and that price was just too tempting. It is in the back seat of my truck and my sis will help me move it into the house next week-end. It will be nice to be able to see the TV again!!!

Some good news from Colorado. I enjoy listening to them whine.

    https://www.summitdaily.com/news/ice-operations-colorado-mountain-towns-cause-community-tension/

We were up in the mountains enjoying the fall foliage on Saturday and there was a “protest” involving 30-40 people near the I70 interchange in Silverthorne. The usual sanctimonious sign waiving and mariachi band music. A couple horns beeped in sport. But there were dozens of cars and the “protesters” were largely ignored.

The thing the Government worshippers are starting to panic about is Headcount Day on 10/1. Schools get their state funding based on headcount. If the illegals leave the country and there’s a “35% drop” in enrollment (allegedly), then that can impact their school funding which is based on a 3-year rolling average.

BTW, if you need another reason to get your kids out of the regular public schools, just know that Headcount Day means disruptive, often violent, students are not booted in the first 1-2 months of the school year. If they boot the kid, the school loses money adding to the problems teachers face in the classroom.

I do love the complaint about the “human cost” of illegals not showing up for school. Like the American kids in the school don’t suffer from worse education having so many non English speakers in the classroom.

Just more proof that the Left doesn’t oppose racism. They’re perfectly fine with their own.

  8. EXCERPT: “The unsolved case of two pipe bombs planted at the major political parties’ headquarters in Washington D.C. before the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot is facing new mystery after FBI Director Kash Patel transmitted to Congress the lab analysis and interviews with a key witness who is challenging the official timeline of events.

The documents obtained by Just the News show that both bombs — one planted at the Democratic National Committee and the other at the Republican National Committee — were filled with chemical building blocks of black powder, each was equipped with a 60-minute kitchen timer, and each had destructive potential.

But most notably, the FBI laboratory report never uses the word “viable” to describe either bomb. Both devices never exploded and were discovered about 16 hours after the FBI claimed they were planted outside both major party headquarters.

“When properly assembled and initiated, an IED of this sort can cause property damage, bodily injury, or death,” the lab report stated. The report offered no clear explanation why the bombs — which it called “Improvised Explosive Devices” — did not detonate.

You can read that report here: FBILabAnalysisJ6PipeBombs.pdf

Timeline of when bombs planted, discovered under review

The documents turned over by Patel to the House Judiciary Committee and its special Jan. 6 investigative subcommittee also raise questions about that timeline. They include interviews with a key witness who said the RNC device still had 20 minutes remaining on its timer when she discovered it the following day. That witness raised the possibility that at least the RNC pipe bomb was planted just before it was discovered and not the night before as the FBI claimed.

The mystifying evidence now has congressional investigators exploring stunning new theories, including whether the bombs were made to look real but not to explode to create a diversion during the Jan. 6 protest or whether someone came back and set the timers later on one or both of the devices.

“The single greatest action that facilitated the protester’s ease of entry into the Capitol on January 6 was the placing of the pipe bombs, and the diversionary effect that had on security resources which would have otherwise been at the Capitol,” said Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., the chairman of the House Judiciary subcommittee that is investigating the law enforcement response to Jan. 6.

“After that day, the FBI was zealous in pursuing those trespassing at the Capitol, but quite lacking in their pursuit of whomever placed the pipe bombs,” he added. “One focus of this Committee will be highlighting the bizarre facts surrounding the pipe bomb case, hoping to bring much needed clarity on this subject to the American people.”

Lawmakers pilloried the FBI in a January report for the security failures surrounding the pipe bombs and the “chaotic response of federal law enforcement after their discovery,” Just the News previously reported. They also criticized the bureau for failing to provide “substantive updates” to Congress about the status of its investigation into the two bombs.

The congressional panel also raised questions about how the FBI determined that both pipe bombs were “viable” explosive devices given that both were equipped with 60-minute kitchen timers, but were allegedly planted approximately 16 hours before they were discovered.

Patel hampered by previous admin’s shoddy detective work four years ago

The newly released internal memos are the most comprehensive insight to date into the bureau’s investigation of the pipe bombs. No suspect has been apprehended, despite the offer of a large reward and extensive, timestamped security footage and a detailed description of the suspect’s attire–making the bombs one of the great unsolved mysteries of Jan. 6.

After four years of frustration with limited cooperation from former Director Chris Wray’s FBI, congressional investigators are pleased by the transparency offered by the new director…..”

  9. Just The News: “The FBI called a gunman’s assault on a Mormon church in Michigan on Sunday a “targeted attack” as the death toll rose to four as more victims were found in the charred remains of the chapel. Police said eight were also wounded when 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford rammed his car into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Mich., then opened gunfire and set fires.

Sanford, a former Marine who served in Iraq, was killed during a gunfight with officers, Police Chief William Reyne said. Reyne did not specify a motive at a news conference on Sunday evening.

The FBI took the lead in investigating the shooting and is treating it as “as an act of targeted violence,” said Reuben Coleman, the acting special agent in charge of the bureau’s Detroit  office.

President Donald Trump monitored the tragedy and condemned the violence in a place of worship. “PRAY for the victims, and their families. THIS EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY MUST END, IMMEDIATELY!” Trump wrote on his TruthSocial platform.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer likewise condemned the shooting. “Violence anywhere especially in a place of worship, is unacceptable,” she said.”

  10. Just The News: “A 53-year-old man confessed in a television interview that he killed his elderly parents and buried them in the backyard of their upstate New York home eight years ago. He was arrested as he exited the studio on Thursday, authorities said.

The subject, Lorenz Kraus, said he had suffocated both parents in 2017, describing it as a mercy killing. Kraus had contacted the station himself after he sent a two-page statement to multiple media outlets, according to the station’s news director. He was asked if he would do an interview, accepted and arrived at the studio shortly afterward.

Authorities had discovered that Social Security benefits were still being paid to the elderly couple, Franz and Theresia Kraus, despite their years of absence. The bodies of his parents were recovered from the backyard a few days before the television appearance.

Kraus was charged with two counts of murder. A public defender entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf and he did not speak at the hearing.”

  11. Just The News: “Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Dominion Voting Systems have reached a settlement in a defamation lawsuit stemming from claims Giuliani made about the 2020 election between President Trump and former President Biden, the parties announced Thursday. The specific terms of the agreement are unknown at this time.

Dominion had argued in court that Giuliani’s broadcast and online statements had caused severe financial and reputational harm, according to the Associated Press.

The settlement concludes one of several high-profile defamation suits in the aftermath of the 2020 election. Dominion had already secured judgments or settlements against other entities who promoted unsubstantiated claims of vote fraud.

While neither side commented in detail on the negotiations, the resolution suggests both wanted to avoid further litigation.”

  14. “To Take Down the NGO Industrial Complex, Start with ‘Nonpartisan’ Voter Registration — The ‘charitable’ voter registration industry should be targeted and this is a uniquely opportune moment to hit it.”

The Federalist, By: Parker Thayer, September 29, 2025

    voter registration

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, conservatives and moderates alike are crying out for the decimation of hyper-politicized nonprofit organizations and the “NGO complex” that many believe enables and encourages left-wing extremism. The sentiment is correct, but the righteous anger is currently directionless, leading to dubious comments about “hate speech,” vague notions of charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, and talk of investigations into Antifa funding, with no real sense of where to strike first. There needs to be a clear target, and it should be one easily hit for maximum effect.

The “charitable” voter registration industry is that target, and this is a uniquely opportune moment to hit it.

Despite IRS rules prohibiting charitable groups from engaging in partisan electioneering, it’s an open secret that a small army of voter registration nonprofits operates as an extension of the Democratic Party. In 2020, a Democrat Super PAC called Mind the Gap sent a memo advising megadonors that the largest of these “charitable” groups, the Voter Participation Center (VPC) and the Everybody Votes Campaign (EVC), were “4 to 10 times more cost-effective than the next best alternative” for “netting additional Democratic votes.”

    Everybody Votes Campaign

The EVC is the largest voter registration campaign in history. It has recorded more than 7 million registrations and $200 million in funding since 2015, when it was first conceived for explicitly partisan reasons, as proved by emails between Democrat consultants and John Podesta.

EVC’s canvassers have been repeatedly investigated for submitting thousands of fraudulent registration forms in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. The group is also one of the biggest donors to the New Georgia Project, a Georgia activist group recently fined $300,000 by the Georgia Ethics Commission for engaging in partisan electioneering on behalf of its founder, Stacey Abrams.

    Voter Participation Center

The VPC also has quite the “nonpartisan” track record, registering 6.6 million voters while causing more partisan scandals than one can count. As far back as 2012, left-leaning journalist Sasha Issenberg wrote: “Even though the group was officially nonpartisan, for tax purposes, there was no secret that the goal of all its efforts was to generate new votes for Democrats.” In 2024 VPC was caught filtering their Facebook and Instagram voter registration ads so that they specifically weren’t shown to users interested in things like “NASCAR,” “golf,” “Jeeps,” and “Duck Dynasty” but were shown to users interested in “African-American Literature,” “Jordan Peele,” “Taylor Swift,” “Patagonia,” and “hot yoga.”

    Left-wing Activism Supply Chain

Dozens of state-level affiliates exist downstream of these national groups as well, and they do more than just register voters. They also organize protests, advocate for policies, and, most importantly, upload the information from every voter registration to massive databases like NGP VAN that are sold exclusively to Democrat PACs for use in mailing lists, fundraising, and canvassing. If all of these groups were suddenly stopped, it would devastate all levels of the left-wing activism supply chain, and it would be very difficult to build replacements fast enough for the scheme to work again in 2026.

The good news is there are already numerous elected officials calling for these fake “nonpartisan” voter registration groups to be stopped or investigated. In the last year alone, the attorney general of Maryland sent the VPC a cease-and-desist leter over its invasive mailers, Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., asked the IRS to investigate the VPC for filtering its Facebook ads, and 21 representatives in Michigan signed a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi asking her office to investigate the VPC and the EVC.

    Left’s Infighting

On the other side of the fence, the left’s donors are now expressing doubts about whether their favorite “nonpartisan” voter registration schemes will continue to work after the dramatic swing towards Republicans within several traditionally Democrat-dominated demographics during the 2024 election. For example, in April 2024, panicked Democratic strategists sent a controversial emergency memo warning donors to stop funding “nonpartisan” voter registration groups because young men and Latino voters were no longer reliably Democratic enough. Last month, The New York Times reported that “a fierce fight is underway over how Democrats should address their sagging voter registration numbers and which groups should receive funding to do the work,” and how these questions are “pitting partisans against philanthropists.”

With pressure already building from above and outside, the Trump administration has the chance to turn it up to eleven and send the entire “charitable” voter registration industry into disarray.

    Possible Charges

At a minimum, the worst offenders — the VPC, EVC, and others like them — should have their tax-exempt statuses revoked, and donors to those groups should be sent requests for information and face inquiries about their own tax statuses.

There are stronger options as well. Charges related to tax fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States could also be on the table for groups and donors that knowingly claimed a tax deduction for donations to non-exempt partisan work. Then, there’s the nuclear option, in which the administration might also consider legislation or executive orders designating voter registration a non-exempt function, thus returning the work of registering voters to political parties, PACs, and 501(c)(4) groups, where it belongs. This might begin to restore the American charitable sector’s once-stellar reputation.

In short, if the goal is to dismantle the left-wing NGO complex, voter registration groups are the best place to start.”

  15. “Starbucks announces hundreds of store closures and layoffs”

Not The Bee, Mister Retrops, Sep 28, 2025

Image for article: Starbucks announces hundreds of store closures and layoffs

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “For years, Starbucks has been circling the “go woke, go broke” drain, and they’ve been trying to reverse course: ending their open bathrooms policy, going back to plastic straws, and even reportedly disallowing pride decorations.

They’ve tried everything short of not burning their beans or lowering the price of their drinks to lure back the other half of the country they spurned and have only managed to upset the folks still going to Starbucks.

Now according to CNN, Starbucks has announced massive layoffs and store closures.

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol announced Thursday that Starbucks will close hundreds of stores this month, or about 1% of its locations.

    That’s roughly 500 stores.

Niccol explained to employees the company underwent a review of its footprint and the locations that will close were ones ‘unable to create the physical environment our customers and partners expect, or where we don’t see a path to financial performance.’

Starbucks is also laying off another 900 corporate positions, on top of the 1,000 positions laid off in February. But Niccol has more plans to save the company. He’s raising wages 2% (for everyone not losing their job), and He’s remodeling 1,000 stores to make them cozy coffee shops again.

I’m not sure how any of that will help anyone afford coffee at Starbucks or believe that they’ve really changed back into a place that just sells coffee again, but we’ll see.”

  17. “The Ukraine War: Is it a Foreign Policy Dead End or a Trap?”

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Sep 29, 2025

“Either way, recent statements out of your administration are disastrous and will end in many more lives lost (quite possibly American), United States prestige on the world stage further reduced and more of our national treasure eviscerated. President Trump, we want you to be the PEACE PRESIDENT

Stop allowing your subordinates to speak about eliminating another nation’s leader along with its way of life as though they don’t have a vote. In warfare, all enemies, all sides, have a vote.

Stop for a second and examine the various forces involved and their national and personal agendas. The NATO & EU need this war to shift their internal problems away from themselves and place it on an enemy who has massive physical capabilities and will use them (don’t underestimate this guidance). There are many more underlying issues in play in Europe and they seek our attention more than we need another war.

However, we still have the objective ability to look at the issues from all sides of the equation (yes, this war is multi-dimensional). Don’t just see it through our eyes (and trust that Americans want peace and more focus on America First). Examine it through the lenses of Europe, Asia, Africa, India, Russia, China, even Pacific Rim nations. More importantly, examine, in fine detail, the issue from President Putin’s perspective.

Whatever your decisions are, my principal guidance is to listen to all arguments. Selling weapons to “NATO” may make us feel good but never forget, we are NATO. If NATO gives those weapons to Ukraine, are we not in a PROXY WAR against Russia? Are we not now directly involved? Who provides the guidance systems, the intelligence, the information operations, cyber, space—warfare is multi-domain activity and not a simple bullet or missile flying through the air.

There remain peaceful solutions to ending this war. We must work harder at seeking these. Those pushing you to war are not offering you all the options. In warfare, the best plan gives you the most options right up until the last possible moment.

Mr. POTUS, you still have time. Please use it wisely.

  19. “Schleswig-Holstein recognizes Islamic holidays and plans Islamic religious education in schools. “The treaty makes it clear: Islam is part of our social life. It has taken deep root here and continues to flourish”

ReMix, Thomas Brooke, September 29. 2025

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “For the first time in Germany, a federal state has formally recognized Islamic holidays, granting Muslims the legal right to official leave from school and work.

Schleswig-Holstein, in northern Germany, has signed a groundbreaking agreement with the Northern German Association of Islamic Cultural Centers (VIKZ), which not only enshrines the right to take time off on the first day of Ramadan and Eid al-Adha, but also lays the foundation for broader recognition of Islam in public life.

The treaty was signed by the Ministry of Education and Culture and regulates several key points: Muslims must be granted leave on the two major holidays; VIKZ is given explicit rights to run educational and cultural institutions and to train imams; and, in the long term, there are plans to introduce Islamic religious education as a standard subject in schools, on equal footing with Protestant, Catholic, or Jewish religious studies.

Education Minister Dorit Stenke (CDU) described the step as “an important sign of recognition and equal treatment of religious communities.” She stressed that the treaty was not simply symbolic, but an affirmation that “people of the Muslim faith are part of our society.” For the government in Kiel, the agreement also provides a legal basis for practices that have, in part, existed informally, while giving Muslim communities greater planning security.

Initial confusion about whether or not the agreement was leading to new public holidays exclusively for Muslims was addressed by NDR in an additional comment under its Facebook story.

“It’s not the case that people of the Muslim faith receive additional days off. Children can request an exemption from school for religious holidays, and adults can apply for leave. However, there is no automatic entitlement,” it wrote.

The move, however, does signify further Islamic encroachment into Western society, with Muslim children effectively being entitled to extra days off from school, and businesses needing to manage workflow on what are typically business days in Germany and the West.

VIKZ, one of the largest Islamic umbrella organizations in Germany, hailed the treaty as a breakthrough. Its vice president, Muhlis Şahin, said, “The treaty makes it clear: Islam is part of our social life. It has taken deep root here and continues to flourish.” He emphasized that the recognition of Islamic holidays and institutions is about more than rituals: It is about participation, integration, and respect.

The agreement goes beyond holidays. It highlights youth work, early childhood education, and social integration as priorities. According to the official statement, this includes language support and educational opportunities aimed at strengthening equal chances for Muslim children and young people. Both the state government and VIKZ noted that the agreement is designed to promote constructive coexistence.

So far, Germany’s approach to Islamic holidays has been uneven. Hamburg and some other states have allowed Muslim pupils to take excused absences for major holidays, but Schleswig-Holstein is the first to grant formal recognition under the Sunday and Public Holiday Act, which also applies to Christian and Jewish observances.”

DOJ using FACE act that Biden used against pro-life orgs…

    FTA:

    https://dailycallernewsfoundation.org/2025/09/29/doj-prosecutes-pro-palestine-groups-under-law-biden-admin-used-to-target-pro-life-activists/

“The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act lawsuit on Monday against pro-Palestine protestors who allegedly targeted a synagogue in New Jersey during a Nov. 2024 demonstration that turned violent.

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon believes this is the first time the FACE Act, which the Biden administration used to target pro-life activists, has been used to civilly prosecute an attack on a house of worship.

“In recent years, there have been numerous attacks on synagogues throughout the United States,” Dhillon said during a press conference. “Yet there has been a lack of the use of the FACE Act to stop these heinous attacks.”

“The past administration only applied the FACE Act civil enforcement penalties to silence pro-life protestors while ignoring the same 1994 law was intended to protect pro-life crisis pregnancy centers and, importantly, houses of worship,” she said.”

  21. I got done with the Thanksgiving crafts I wanted to make, so i thought I’ll just put the fabric, patterns and threads back and get out the stuff for the next holiday. 2 hours later…LOL…i reorganized the bins and separated the fabric by season…LOL

I haven’t changed a bit since i was a kid. I would take everything out of my closet at some point, when i couldn’t stuff one more thing in there, and intend to organize it. an hour or two into it, I would fall asleep and Mom would come looking for me. there I’d be…in the middle of the pile asleep.

i didn’t fall asleep this time though. hubby was making too much noise back there! lol

So, now I am made to wonder: “Is there any notion of fraud prevention in any(!) Federal program?” Consider this article:

    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/scott-mcclallen/2025/09/28/detroit-man-allegedly-led-16m-student-aid-fraud-scheme-with-1200-fake-students-n2664087

Federal agents say that a couple of people fabricated “1,200 students” to steal more than $16 million in Federal Student Aid.

My problem with this article is that they say that the scheme began in January 2015, and was not busted until February 2024. I’m sorry, but, “that’s nine years!” During which, according to my calculations, you disbursed about $2 million a year. About $1,666 per “student.” Per year.

Are you seriously telling me that no one is questioning “the paperwork” that is being put before them?

So – “you have now caught two people.” How many more remain un-detected because no one is actually “a suspicious cat?”

  24. Just The News: “A White House meeting between Congressional leaders, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance on Monday failed to produce a deal that will avert a government shutdown. The 2025 fiscal year is set to end on Tuesday, meaning a shutdown would take place as soon as Wednesday morning.

The House has already passed a bill to keep the government funded through late November, but the Senate failed to pass the measure along party lines. The White House has warned of mass layoffs if the shutdown takes effect.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters that there was still too much of a gap between Democratic and Republican priorities to reach a deal. “Their bill has not one iota of Democratic input,” Schumer said. “That is never how we’ve done this before.”

Vance blamed Democrats for the failure to reach a deal, stating that Democrats refuse to “do the right thing.”

  25. Just The News: “YouTube on Monday agreed to pay a $24.5 million settlement to President Donald Trump that ends a 2021 lawsuit over company’s decision to suspend Trump’s account after the January 6 riot.

The company suspended Trump’s account after the 2021 riot but restored it in 2023, citing Trump’s presidential bid in order to give voters full access to his campaign. Meta also announced in 2023 that it was restoring Trump’s accounts on Facebook and Instagram.

YouTube is now the final Big Tech company to settle the trio of lawsuits Trump filed against social-media platforms over account suspensions. Meta settled its lawsuit in January and agreed to pay Trump $25 million. X agreed to settle the other in February for $10 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
