I Love Rock and Roll!

Today is Joan Jett’s birthday (born in 1958) and this great song is one of my favorites!

I saw him dancing there by the record machine
I knew he must have been about seventeen
The beat was going strong
Playing my favorite song
And I could tell it wouldn’t be long till he was with me, yeah me
And I could tell it wouldn’t be long till he was with me, yeah me

Singing, I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
Ow!

He smiled, so I got up and asked for his name
But that don’t matter, he said, ’cause it’s all the same
He said, “Can I take you home
Where we can be alone?”
And next we were moving on, he was with me, yeah me
Next we were moving on, he was with me, yeah me

Singing, I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
Ow!

He said, “Can I take you home
Where we can be alone?”
Next we’re moving on, he was with me, yeah me
And we’ll be moving on and singing that same old song, yeah with me

Singing, I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with

I love rock and roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock and roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

  1. Morning All!

if I heard correctly, we got some rain over night…sounded heavy at times. Gotta wait til the sun comes up to see if it did any good for the pond.

I loved this song when i was growing up–always did the clapping above my head whenever it came on!

    1. ROFL – when you were growing up, eh? I was already married by that time and she was one of my hubby’s favorite singers. In fact, he had a poster of her in his wall locker, which got my dander up. I decided if he was going to have a poster of a sexy woman in his wall locker, it was going to be a poster of me. So I had my friend take some sexy pics of me and had one of them blown up to a 3′ X 5′ poster. No more Joan Jett in HIS locker, I’ll tell you that!!!

Raining again here this morning but not a heavy rain. Glad you finally got some to refill your pond (hopefully).

UN Faces Big Budget Cuts And Job Losses After US Funding Dries Up

    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/un-faces-big-budget-cuts-and-job-losses-after-us-funding-dries

The UN has announced it will need to cut $500m from their 2026 budget and will lay off 20% of its staff as it struggles to cope with a massive reduction in funding by the Trump administration. Trump has eliminated at least $1 billion in total funding from the UN.
The plan is likely to involve an initial minimum 3,000 job cuts out of a 35,000-strong main workforce, with eventual job losses at around 7,000. The overall UN core or regular budget would be cut from $3.7bn to about $3.2bn next year. It means reductions of 15.1% in resources and 18.8% in posts in the regular budget compared with the 2025 budget.
Despite the funding losses, UN Secretary General António Guterres continues to press ahead with his new “pact for the future” focusing on artificial intelligence and policies for sustainable development. The UN is now looking for alternative funding for their operations, though, it is unlikely they will be able to fill the void left by US cuts. Most countries have no interest in paying more; the reliance has been entirely on Americans for generations.

The only problem I see with this is Trump should have cut funding to zero dollars and kicked the UN out of the United States!

  3. Just The News: “The Secret Service announced Tuesday that it dismantled a telecommunications threat network near the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. A network of electronic devices throughout the New York tristate area was dismantled by the Secret Service, according to the agency. The network was used to conduct multiple telecommunications-related threats directed at senior U.S. government officials.

Through the investigation, the agency discovered more than 300 co-located SIM servers and 100,000 SIM cards across multiple sites. The devices were concentrated within 35 miles of the UN General Assembly. The investigation is ongoing.

The devices could also be used for telecommunications attacks, such as disabling cellphone towers, enabling denial of services attacks, and facilitating anonymous, encrypted communication between potential threat actors and criminal organizations.

Early analysis indicates there were cellular communications between nation-state threat actors and individuals known to federal law enforcement.

“The potential for disruption to our country’s telecommunications posed by this network of devices cannot be overstated,” Secret Service Director Sean Curran said in a statement. “The U.S. Secret Service’s protective mission is all about prevention, and this investigation makes it clear to potential bad actors that imminent threats to our protectees will be immediately investigated, tracked down and dismantled.”

  4. Just The News: “On Sunday, as tens of thousands of mourners filled State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona, for a memorial service for Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, voter registration tables at the event were inundated with future voters.

The massive event doubled as a tribute to Kirk’s lifelong focus on conservative activism and youth outreach. In line with his legacy, voter registration booths staffed by Turning Point volunteers were set up inside the stadium, drawing significant participation.

200,000 to 300,000 attendees, many register to vote

Turning Point USA has not published official voter registration data. However, approximately 200,000 people registered for tickets for the memorial in advance and estimates report that there were 200,000 to 300,000 with overflow. On-site law enforcement corroborated these estimates. Given the scale of attendance, that could translate to thousands of new registrations, given the crowd size and focus on unregistered conservatives (roughly 30% of U.S. Christians are unregistered, a group Kirk spent significant time and treasure to engage).

Recent data show GOP voter registration gains in key states like Pennsylvania, where Republicans clocked in at +3,022 net in the days following Kirk’s assassination (week ending September 22). This included 1,756 Democrat-to-Republican switches. Additionally, North Carolina and Arizona both outpaced prior months and linked the surge directly to the assassination and memorial.

    The “Charlie Kirk Effect”

Matt Margolis of PJ Media remarked that “Some on the left celebrated the attack.” That reaction has now triggered what’s being called the “Charlie Kirk effect,” a historic wave of Democrats abandoning their party and joining the GOP.

On Sunday, Kirk’s wife, Erika, publicly forgave her husband’s alleged killer. By contrast, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., told CNN viewers that if his party regains power, they will use the government to go after anybody “doing the bidding of the Trump administration.”

That message of unity by Kirk and the message of disunity by Jeffries could be driving political sentiment more than Democrats may realize or would like to recognize.

Democrats losing on the economy, immigration and crime

CNN’s Chief Data Analyst Harry Enten broke down numbers from a new Washington Post/IPSOS poll showing that Democrats are underwater on three major issues: the economy, immigration and crime.

When asked which party is trusted more on the economy, Republicans had a seven-point lead. On immigration, an issue for which Democrats have demonized the Trump administration, Republicans are up by 13 points. California’s Democratic Speaker of the California State Assembly recently referred to ICE agents as “secret police.”

As for crime, blue-city mayors and sanctuary state governors are under investigation for allegedly trying to falsify crime data in opposition to Trump’s utilizing the National Guard in several cities.

Independent voters are tilting to GOP as well

Independents in the poll favored Republicans by one point on the economy, ten points on immigration and 21 points on crime. He also reflected on the same poll leading into the 2022 midterm elections, which resulted in a 12-point lead on the economy for Republicans, a three-point lead for Republicans on immigration. On crime, Republicans saw a 13-point lead.

“At this particular point, the ball may be on the ground, but the Democrats have not picked up the ball and run with it. If anything at this particular point, it’s the Republicans who are running with the ball on the top issues of the economy, immigration and crime,” Enten said.”

  5. Just The News: “White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday told reporters at a press briefing that the Biden administration attempted to entrap President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan but failed to because he never accepted a bribe.

MSNBC reported over the weekend that the Biden administration’s FBI filmed Homan allegedly accepting a $50,000 bribe from undercover agents and insisting he could help them secure government contracts under the Trump administration.

FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche told the outlet that it had looked into the allegations of bribery and found “no credible evidence of any criminal wrongdoing,” and that the probe was closed.

Leavitt supported the FBI and Justice Department’s interpretation after a reporter asked whether Homan would be expected to return the $50,000. Leavitt said the incident amounted to the Biden administration’s weaponization of the bureau.

“Mr. Homan never took the $50,000 that you’re referring to. So you should get your facts straight, number one,” Leavitt said. “Number two, this was another example of the weaponization of the Biden Department of Justice against one of President Trump’s strongest and most vocal supporters in the midst of a presidential campaign.

“You had FBI agents going undercover to try and entrap one of the president’s top allies and supporters, someone who they knew very well would be taking a government position months later,” she continued. “[The FBI] found zero evidence of illegal activity or criminal wrongdoing. And the White House and the president stand by Tom Homan 100% because he did absolutely nothing wrong, and he is a brave public servant who has done a phenomenal job in helping the president shut down the border.”

The comments come after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries demanded that the Trump administration reopen the probe, after Trump urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to pursue charges against several high-profile Democrats.”

  6. Just The News: “Republicans lead Democrats on the economy, immigration, and crime heading into the 2026 midterms, according to a Washington Post/Ipsos survey.

“At this particular point, the Democrats are the New Orleans Saints of political parties,” quipped CNN’s Harry Enten. “The ball may be on the ground, but the Democrats have not picked up the ball.”

On the economy, Republicans enjoyed a 7-point edge in voter trust over the Democrats. On immigration, the figure was 13 points in favor of the GOP. On crime, it was 22 points.

In 2022, Republicans held a 12-point edge on the economy, but a mere 3-point lead on immigration and a 13-point lead on crime.

“Look at this! The Republican lead’s [on immigration] actually gone up by 10 points. What are you doing Democrats?!” asked Enten. “My goodness gracious!”

  8. “Trump Knows the Truth About Covid”

    Clandestine, Sep 23, 2025

“I don’t think people realize the earth-shattering magnitude of what just happened…

Trump just stood up in front of the UN General Assembly, and told them all to their faces that they must stop making biological weapons. This means Trump knows Covid was a man-made bioweapon… Which means he knows who is responsible for making Covid… Which means someone is responsible for CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY!!!

What has been one of the most talked about subjects at the UN since February 2022? US bioweapon development at USAID-funded biolabs around the world, most notably UKRAINE!!!

Russia have been talking about the need for investigations into US bioweapon development for years now at the UN, and have been ignored and vetoed by the US every single time. The specifically named Obama, Clinton, Biden, and Soros, of being the main ideologues of this plot.

Trump’s DNI Gabbard has been all over this since the jump, and she told us back in May that she was working with RFK Jr., Bhattacharya, and Ratcliffe, to look into the origins of Covid, and she specifically mentioned the biolabs in Ukraine multiple times.

In conclusion, Trump knows the truth about Covid, and it sounds like he is getting closer to telling the public.”

  9. “Crimes Against Humanity”

    Clandestine, Sep 23, 2025

“Trump just dropped one of the biggest disclosures of all time. He called to end the development of biological weapons.

The thing is, we already agreed to that. It’s called the Biological Weapons Convention of 1972. Bioweapon development is already an international war crime and/or crime against humanity. Which means, that nations or NGOs are currently engaged in bioweapon development, which is a serious violation of international law, and Trump knows about it.

Russian MIL have been presenting evidence to the UN for 3+ years outlining the US bioweapon network worldwide, but most notably Ukraine. They directly allege the leaders of the US Democrat Party, in conjunction with NGOs and elements within the US government, have been wittingly developing bioweapons at USAID-funded labs worldwide.

They even directly named Obama, Clinton, Biden, and Soros, as the main “ideologues” of the plot. Elon even said himself that DOGE found USAID was funding bioweapon development (Project PREDICT).

If you think Trump and Putin have not discussed this at some point during negotiations, you are mistaken. The world must eventually cross this bridge, and I think we are getting very close. US Deep State actors are/were engaged in bioweapon development, are guilty of crimes against humanity, and Russia alleges it’s the same exact people who are behind the treasonous Russiagate plot against Trump.

It’s all connected. The Dems created and released a biological weapon (C19) in order to sabotage Trump’s Presidency, implement mass mail-in voting, all to steal the 2020 election and overthrow Trump.

Covid was the next phase of the Deep Stare regime-change operation to overthrow Trump after Russigate failed, The Deep State shut down the global economy, and killed millions of people, all to stop Trump from winning 2020.

    CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY!”

  12. we’ve been going from window to window watching the buck parade. A nice 8 pointer was munching grass in the front yard with 3 button bucks. Then a 5 pointer emerged by the pond, so I grabbed the binoculars and spotted more coming in behind that one. another 6 and then a 5–all the racks are shaped differently. This is a fun time of year watching them. Hubby was cutting down the cattails last weekend so we could watch them emerge at the “tree”. 15. “Autism – what we know. Science backs up President Trump’s statements”

Robert W Malone MD, MS, Sep 23, 2025

EXCERPT: “The complex landscape of “what” is causing the five-fold increase of autism spectrum disorder in the last twenty-five years is finally being evaluated.

    Big-pharma is big mad.

The Trump administration is challenging conventional medicine and science in making this a priority. They are searching deeper, going beyond big-pharma-funded studies that have distorted the concept of “evidence-based” medicine and science.

If you haven’t listened to the press conference from yesterday, please do so. At the very least, listen to the opening statements. For brevity, I cut out a few of the speakers that weren’t making policy statements and some of the “big, beautiful bill” questions towards the end of the press conference.

    (Video)

As President Trump delves into this press conference, he specifically states that:

“I’m making these statements from me.”“I talk about a lot of common sense.”“This will be as important as any single thing I’ve done.”

Read that last statement again. Secretary Kennedy and MAHA have President Trump’s full support! More than that, these issues are critically important to President Trump. In this press conference, President Trump states explicitly that no drug should be recommended for pain in pregnant women. That pregnant women should try their hardest to avoid pain medications.

He also states that children should not be given vaccines in large combinations at a young age. We all know that all vaccines have risks; some vaccines have much higher risks. The compounding effects of medicines are a real issue. Putting two and two together (or not…) is just common sense.

    This is all common sense.

The President’s statement is one of the most responsible, pro-scientific process statements ever to come out of the White House, and I am proud to be associated with this movement. So, what does the “scientific” establishment think about President Trump’s presser?

The greatest shill on earth for Big Pharma had this to say about the press conference.

Not a single mainstream media outlet called Dr. Proffit out on this outlandish statement.

In fact, none of the usual MSM outlets bothered to do any real research before attacking the press conference and its findings, with the exception of Politico, which published an “opinion” piece written by Dr. Jay Bhattacharya,, Dr. Marty Makary, and Dr. Mehmet Oz.

All of the mainstream media outlets attacked the position that taking drugs while pregnant was a bad idea. Which means they endorse the idea that it is better to be without pain and cause risk of fetal harm… No words can express how disgusted I am by these propagandists.

Of note, Dr. Profit (above) must also believe that Harvard’s School of Public Health and it’s Dean, Andrea Baccarelli, are irresponsible, as they have largely endorsed the President’s statements:

And yet, this is the response by MSM.

With this in mind, as I prepared to speak on various news programs today, I conducted a literature search on recent peer-reviewed papers on the causes of autism.

Below, some of the more recently published papers on Autism are highlighted:…..”

  16. “Where’s Fauci?”

    Clandestine, Sep 23, 2025

“Trump just told the world that everyone needs to stop making biological weapons. I wonder what prompted him to say that? I’m just spitballing here, but maybe it has something to do with a man-made pathogen that shut down the world and killed MILLIONS of people…

Where’s Fauci? Why did he give himself a blanket pardon beginning in 2014? The same time the Obama administration offshored gain of function to UKRAINE!! Why did Hunter Biden give himself a blanket pardon beginning in 2014? The same time his biolab company, Metabiota, began receiving USAID grants to study bat coronaviruses in UKRAINE!! When did the CIA/State Dept take over Ukraine? 2014.

Why did the entire global Western media apparatus lie and say there were no biolabs in Ukraine whatsoever? The enemy told us what they did via their attempts to cover it up.”

  18. “Why DOJ Should & Will Prevail in the Google Ad Tech Remedies Trial”

    Mike Davis, Sep 23, 2025

Google rigged the digital ad market. For over a decade, Google has dominated both sides of the $600B+ online ad ecosystem—controlling 80-90% of publisher ad servers and exchanges through exclusionary tactics like tying its DoubleClick tools to AdX auctions, as Judge Brinkema ruled “willful” and illegal in April 2025. The April 2025 liability ruling means the trial isn’t about proving misconduct—that’s settled—it’s about ensuring remedies tough enough to unwind Google’s cartel. This isn’t fair competition; it’s a digital cartel manipulating prices and crushing rivals, harming publishers and advertisers alike.

Ordinary Americans pay the price. Google’s monopoly skims 35% fees on every ad transaction, inflating costs that small businesses pass on to families through higher prices for goods and services—potentially billions in overcharges annually. Breaking it up with divestitures would slash these “taxes” by 15-20%, boosting innovation and putting money back in Americans’ pockets, just as consumers deserve in a free market. That means higher grocery bills, pricier online purchases, and fewer options for families—every American is paying a hidden tax to Google.

It’s about free speech as much as free markets. Google’s ad dominance lets it economically censor by demonetizing conservative voices and independent outlets it dislikes, starving them of revenue under vague “policy violations” that smack of viewpoint bias. This deplatforming threatens the First Amendment and the marketplace of ideas—remedies like spinning off ad tools would restore fair revenue flows, ensuring all Americans can speak freely without Big Tech gatekeepers.

Breakup is the only real fix. Fines alone fail, as Europe’s $10B+ penalties since 2017 (including a fresh €2.95B hit on September 4, 2025) haven’t curbed Google’s abuses. Structural remedies—divesting AdX and open-sourcing auctions—mirror the 1984 AT&T breakup that sparked telecom booms and price drops; anything less lets Google rebuild its empire, especially in AI.

National security is at stake. One company’s grip on ad tech data flows creates vulnerabilities, exposing sensitive user info (like targeting national security personnel) to foreign threats from China or Russia via real-time bidding leaks. Concentrated control over digital infrastructure endangers U.S. sovereignty—Trump’s remedies would fragment this power, protecting American interests at home and abroad.

The Trump DOJ showed real leadership. While Obama and Biden dithered, Trump’s first-term filing exposed Google’s rot, and his second-term team is delivering tough enforcement with the remedies trial kicking off September 22, 2025. This isn’t overregulation; it’s antitrust law in action, fresh off the September 2 search remedies win, to dismantle Silicon Valley bullies and revive true competition. Trump’s DOJ isn’t just punishing past misconduct—it’s writing the playbook for how America will confront monopolies in AI, e-commerce, and beyond.

This case is a template for Big Tech accountability. A DOJ victory here—forcing Google to compete fairly—sends shockwaves to Meta, Amazon, Apple, and TikTok, ending their anticompetitive playbooks of acquisitions and tying. Trump’s message is unmistakable: the days of unelected tech oligarchs building empires without consequences are over, paving the way for broader breakups that unleash American innovation.”
