Weird Wednesdays: Abandoned Mansions: Mudhouse Mansion

The origins of Mudhouse Mansion trace back to the 19th century, deriving its unique name from the Mudhouse family, the estate’s earliest recorded occupants. Known also as “Hartman Place,” this grand residence epitomized the Gothic Revival architectural style prevalent during that era. Despite the passage of ownership and decay over time, the mansion’s allure persisted until its eventual demolition in 2015 due to structural concerns. Yet, the legends and the aura of mystery surrounding the mansion continue to thrive, fueled by tales of the paranormal.

Mudhouse Mansion Haunted?

Mudhouse Mansion has a dark reputation not only among locals but also among paranormal enthusiasts nationwide. It is without a doubt, one of the most haunted places in Ohio! There are many local tales and legends as to the origin of the haunting in Mudhouse Mansion. One legend says that a government official lived there after the Civil War and kept slaves. It is told that he locked the slaves in one of the outbuildings every night and generally treated them poorly.

One night a slave dug his way out, entered the house and slaughtered the official and his entire family. It is the spirits of these people which haunt the house. However, according to some it is another more recent family that got murdered in the house.

According to local legend, there was a man who actually bought the house in 1892 and he moved in with his wife and their three children. Neighbors never saw them after they entered the house and they thought it very weird that the family would spend all their time indoors. One neighbor went out to the house to investigate and all he could see was the figure of a woman dressed in white, standing on the second-floor window. The figure was just standing there and staring at her.

The following day the neighbor checked again and saw the figure again, standing on the same position. She checked for 10 days and would see the same figure. On the tenth day she called the police and when they came to investigate, they were met by a terrible sight. All the 5 family members were hanging lifeless dressed in white night gowns. The figure which the neighbor had seen was the mother and she was not standing at the window. She had actually been hanging there for several days/weeks.

Mudhouse Mansion is said to be the home of the original “Bloody Mary”. If you say her name three or five times while in front of the mirror, she will appear. Children in town have even called Mudhouse the House of Mary. According to traditional folklore, all her children were killed either by her or her husband.

A woman named Colleen once explored Mudhouse in 2001 and she recalls hearing a whole group of people moving around the third floor of the house. They went upstairs to talk to the people they assumed were causing all the noise but they found the entire floor and the rest of the house completely deserted. There was no one else there but them. The mansion’s neighbors reported hearing shrieks and groans coming from the empty mansion when it lay abandoned.

History

Mudhouse Mansion was built sometime between 1840 and 1850. Christian and Eleanor Rugh purchased the property, where Mudhouse Mansion now stands, from Henry Byler and Abraham Kagy. The property was then sold to Henry and Martha Hartman in 1919. When Henry died, the property was inherited by his daughter Lulu. Her descendants still own the land today and locals have also labeled the mansion as “Hartman Place”.

No one has lived in the home since 1930 although transients and a group of hippies in the 1960’s did call it their home for a short period of time. The grand structure has been damaged by vandalism and fire.

Note: Mudhouse Manor was demolished September 21, 2015.

The bill was defeated in a 44-48 vote, with Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman voting for the Republican bill, and GOP Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska voting against it, The Hill news outlet reported.

The continuing resolution would have funded the government until Nov. 21.”

New investigation traced George Soros funding to 54 groups directly linked to domestic terrorism

Here’s where it gets crazy, each one of those groups also networks with as many as 300 separate entities orchestrating terrorism

      – “We traced over $80 million going from the Open Society Foundations to at least 54 groups engaged in crime and domestic terrorism on US soil or that are pro-terrorism — according to his own files, so it’s rock solid”
      – Over $23 million, went to at least seven groups that are doing things that meet the FBI’s definition of domestic terrorism

George Soros linked to training terrorists on American soil

“The Center for Third World Organizing, for example, is an organization that has a hub that fuse together several,, really extreme organizations. We found $400,000 going to them and they openly boast of the fact that they threw down during the uprisings in Minnesota, obviously referring to the rioting and boasting of how many thousands of people they helped train. A lot of these groups have created what they’ll call, like, a protest guide or an activism toolkit”

“When I say 54 groups, just one of those might have 300 entities — actually, the real number is actually much higher”

This is the definition of racketeering

    1. Just The News: “A cyberattack late Friday night left several European airports with crashed check-in and boarding systems. Passengers at major hubs like Brussels, Berlin Brandenburg, and London Heathrow were affected. The attack led to airlines moving to manual processes, which caused long lines and slower check-ins.

The disruptions left thousands of travelers stranded or delayed.

In a statement, Brussels Airport said the attack targeted their third-party service provider for check-in and boarding systems, not the airports or airlines directly..

“An attack was launched against our check-in and boarding system provider, which caused a major interruption in our services, affecting several airports across Europe,” a spokesperson from Brussels Airport said.”

  1. Just The News: “Interim United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Erik Siebert on Friday reportedly resigned his post, hours after President Donald Trump said he wanted him out of office because he received support from the state’s two Democratic senators.

Trump made the remark during comments to the press in the Oval Office, where he claimed Siebert could “not be any good” because Sens. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine support him. Trump nominated Siebert in May.

“I want him out,” the president told reporters of Siebert. “When I saw that he got two senators, two gentlemen that are bad news, as far as I’m concerned, when I saw that he got approved by these two men, I said, ‘Pull him,’ because he can’t be any good.”

Siebert would have been responsible for weighing whether to pursue mortgage fraud claims against New York Attorney General Letitia James if confirmed by the Senate.

The move also comes after Warner denounced Trump’s effort to push Siebert out of office. “Unbelievable. Trump has now announced he is pushing out a U.S. Attorney because he refused to prosecute Trump’s political enemies,” Warner posted on X. “The message is clear: Trump will punish anyone who has the independence to challenge his baseless vendettas.”

Siebert has not publicly commented on his resignation so far, but an email obtained by NBC News confirmed his departure.”

  2. Just The News: “President Donald Trump declared Antifa a terrorist organization on Wednesday, describing them as a “sick, dangerous, radical left disaster;” however, it’s unclear at this time if or how the president will make the designation official, and what it all means for the group.

The Anti-Defamation League, a group that fights “all forms of antisemitism and bias,” defines Antifa as a “decentralized, leaderless movement composed of loose collections of groups, networks and individuals.” Awareness of the movement, whose name stands for “anti-fascist,” spread in 2020, when its members were active in Black Lives Matter protests, riots, looting and clashes with police.

Domestic terrorism is defined in federal law as criminal acts occurring in the U.S. that either threaten human life, are intended to coerce or intimidate civilians or to influence government policy or action. But, domestic terrorism on its own is not a criminally chargeable offense.

Congress has considered the possibility of new domestic terrorism laws, but concerns over constitutional rights have seemingly prevented lawmakers from doing so.

“Any congressional consideration of additional legislation in the area of domestic terrorism—such as a criminal statute expressly prohibiting acts of domestic terror—would necessarily involve a broader discussion of potential policy concerns and constitutional constraints,” reads a report by the Congressional Research Service.

“Legislation seeking to address domestic terrorism also may implicate certain constitutional considerations, such as First Amendment protections of speech and association, Fourth Amendment restrictions on government searches, and broader federalism-based restraints on federal jurisdiction in general,” the authors added.

In his Wednesday post on Truth Social, in addition to the terrorist designation, Trump implied that any groups financially supporting Antifa could expect federal scrutiny. “I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices,” he wrote.

In a response to a question from The Center Square regarding Antifa, the president mentioned going after the group through the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, a federal statute that was critical to the FBI’s takedown of the American mafia. It allowed prosecutors to hold mob bosses and other leaders accountable for crimes they directed lower-level members to commit.

“I’ve asked Pam [Bondi] to look into that in terms of bringing RICO cases… criminal RICO,” Trump said, “because what they’re doing to this country is really subversive.”

However, many have noted that it may be difficult to do since RICO was created for organized crime, and Antifa is allegedly leaderless.”

  3. Just The News: “The Department of Education on Friday placed Harvard University on heightened cash monitoring status, which requires the university to use its own funds to disburse federal student aid before drawing funds from the government.

The department said that students at the Ivy League school will still have access to federal aid but that the initial disbursements will need to be covered by the school as a means to ensure the school is spending government funds appropriately. Harvard sits on a $53 billion endowment, CNN reported earlier this year.

The department said the latest action is the consequence of three events, including the department’s determination that Harvard has violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and allegations that Harvard has taken steps to secure $1 billion in bonds.

“Today’s actions follow Harvard’s own admission that there are material concerns about its financial health,” Education Secretary Linda McMahon said in a statement. “As a result, Harvard must now seek reimbursement after distributing federal student aid and post financial protection so that the Department can ensure taxpayer funds are not at risk. While Harvard remains eligible to participate in the federal student aid program for now, these actions are necessary to protect taxpayers.”

The order marks the latest escalation in Harvard’s funding fight with the Trump administration. Harvard President Alan Garber has accused the federal government of attempting to exert “unprecedented and improper control” over the Ivy League school.

President Donald Trump has also recommended the Internal Revenue Service rescind the school’s tax-exempt status after the school said it would not comply with the administration’s demands over its handling of antisemitism. The demands included merit-based hiring, reforming programs with a history of antisemitism and getting rid of “diversity, equity and inclusion” policies.”

Officials expect the memorial service at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday to draw about 100,000 attendees, including President Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

“The U.S. Secret Service in coordination with local law enforcement in Glendale, Arizona, is investigating an individual who was observed exhibiting suspicious behavior at State Farm Stadium,” Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said, according to Fox News Digital.

“The individual was approached by Secret Service and stated during the encounter that he was a member of law enforcement and that he was armed. The individual is not a member of authorized law enforcement working the event and is currently in custody,” he also said.”

  5. “Why The Feds Can’t Trust Utah To Achieve The Death Penalty For Charlie Kirk’s Murderer — As President Trump vows a full federal investigation, Attorney General Pam Bondi needs to file federal charges that carry the death penalty.”

The Federalist, By: John and Andy Schlafly, September 19, 2025

spencer cox gives a press conference

EXCERPT: “The assassination of Charlie Kirk cries out for the death penalty, which is rarely imposed by Utah courts. This murder was premeditated and executed with vengeance, against an innocent victim, merely for exercising his constitutional freedom of speech.

This crime struck at the heart of our republic and has made countless Americans who believe the same things Kirk did feel like they too have targets on their backs. Like the anarchist assassin who shot President William McKinley on Sept. 6, 1901, and was executed on Oct. 29 after receiving full due process, Kirk’s assassin must swiftly face the death penalty.

Before the suspected Kirk assassin was arrested, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox pointed out that Utah still has the death penalty. Utah law, however, makes it nearly impossible to apply. Utah has executed only one person (an American Indian) in the last 15 years, and there are only four criminals on Utah’s death row, each of whom has been supported there at taxpayer expense for more than 29 years.

A murderer cannot be punished by the death penalty in Utah state courts unless there is an aggravating factor as narrowly defined by Utah law, such as killing a police officer or shooting in a way that creates a “great risk” to bystanders in a crowd. Kirk’s assassin allegedly fired one shot from a high-precision rifle at Kirk while he was seated on stage, so it is unclear if Utah’s death penalty even applies to this crime — though there’s a solid argument that the crowd was endangered enough to reach Utah’s legal threshold.

In addition, Utah has a pro-transgender culture, contrary to every other Republican state. In 2023, with Gov. Cox’s signature, Utah codified a pro-transgender administrative rule that had first been promulgated in 2020, making it one of the only Republican states with a law that prevents parents from seeking professional counseling to treat gender dysphoria in their children. In 2022, Gov. Cox also vetoed legislation that would have protecting girls’ sports from the participation of male athletes.

The suspect, Tyler Robinson, was living with his transgender partner, whom Gov. Cox praised as being “incredibly cooperative” with investigators. Robinson reportedly had a romantic relationship with his transgender roommate…..”

  6. “Guest Post: Turning Up the Heat on Arctic Frost: Dr. John Eastman outlines the Biden DOJ’s unconstitutional search to find evidence of a crime, any crime, in an outrageous attempt to bring federal charges against him and other Trump associates.”

    Julie Kelly, Sep 20, 2025

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “On September 17 (Constitution Day, no less), Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) released an unclassified version of the Biden FBI’s Arctic Frost investigation memo. The memo is as stunning as it is politically slanted.

At the outset, it lists a number of so-called “Lines of Effort” for investigators to pursue as potential crimes, conduct that represented the ordinary exercise of free speech and the right to petition the government for redress of grievances, both of which are protected by the First Amendment. Activity involving “propagating false election fraud allegations,” for example, or a “scheme to have a false slate of electors … submitted,” or “filing numerous unsubstantiated fraud lawsuits related to the 2020 presidential election” were to be investigated by the Biden regime.

I am directly named in one investigative pursuit, the “Pressure Pence/Eastman Plan,” which was described as “an attempt to pressure Vice President Pence to reject the legitimately cast votes of electors from certain states or otherwise suspend the elector counting process, followed by an armed attack on the U.S. Capitol.” (Emphasis added.)

Of course, the whole dispute was whether illegality in the conduct of the election rendered the electoral votes from certain swing states NOT legitimately cast, and as a Michigan court has just held in dismissing the criminal charges against the Trump electors in Michigan, those individuals were exercising their constitutionally-protected right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

But the most egregious part of that litany is the false claim the protest at the Capitol was an “armed attack.” The only person who carried and used a firearm on January 6 was Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd, who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt at near point-blank range that afternoon. The false narrative of an “insurrection” was already in full swing and animated the totality of the bogus investigation.Looking for Evidence of a Non-Crime

The memo also includes five single-spaced pages of subpoenas or search warrants that were issued to scores of financial institutions, apparently seeking financial transaction data from the accounts of a wide range of organizations and individuals: the Save America PAC, Conservative Partnership Institute and its Senior Partner, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Mike Lindell’s My Pillow company, America First Policy Institute, the late Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA, the Republican Attorneys General Association, the Trump for President campaign committee, The Public Interest Legal Foundation, and numerous lawyers including former NY City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Assistant Attorney General of the United States Jeff Clark.

Talk about a Biden enemies list!

My name appears in the subpoena list 16 times. Seven of those subpoenas were issued to financial institutions with which I have never had an account, including American Express, TIAA Bank, Discover, Elan Financial (whatever that is—never heard of it). One was to JP Morgan Chase, which held the mortgage on my home until I refinanced it with another mortgage company more than 20 years ago. Another was Wells Fargo, at which I did not even open an account until the year after the 2020 election dispute.

And most egregiously, one was to the financial institution where the 529 education accounts for my kids are held.

In what universe could the Biden FBI have had probable cause to scour the financial records of institutions in which I have never held accounts, or to search through my kids’ education accounts? The document released by Senator Grassley lists the probable crime underlying each subpoena, but there are none listed for any of the subpoenas issued in reference to me.Clear Cut Violations of the Constitution

Many, perhaps all, of these therefore appear to be “general warrants,” an outrageous violation of the Fourth Amendment, which requires that searches be conducted only upon probable cause; warrants also must identify with particularity the things to be searched or seized. Indeed, the very reason we have the Fourth Amendment was to prohibit general warrants such as had been issued by the King and was one of the causes of the Revolutionary War.

The same was true for the search warrant issued for seizure of my phone, which appears to also be identified in the Grassley document. It authorized seizure of my phone and “all” data on it — a general warrant, given the volume of data on modern phones.

The Department of Justice’s excuse was that the initial warrant only authorized the “seizure” of all data, but that a second warrant identifying which data could be searched would be required and subsequently obtained. The prohibition against general warrants applies as much to “seizures” as to “searches,” so that excuse won’t fly.

More egregiously, the Biden DOJ then searched the data—I learned of this when they started asking me whether some of the communications they had viewed were privileged. When I asked how they had been able to search that data since I had not seen any subsequent warrant, I was told that because the phone was by then in their possession, they served the warrant on themselves. Outrageous abuse, and clear constitutional violation, in my view.

The people that perpetrated this abuse of our criminal justice system need to be held accountable. Kudos to Senator Grassley and his investigative team on the Senate Judiciary Committee for getting the receipts on this and, as importantly, making them public.

This would seem to be more fodder, gift-wrapped on a silver platter, as it were, for the grand jury that Attorney General Pam Bondi has already convened in response to the “Crossfire Hurricane” Russia Hoax criminal referral from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard earlier this summer.

Time to turn up the heat on “Arctic Frost” and hold feet to the fire!

    Memo:

Dr. Eastman is a Senior Fellow at The Claremont Institute, former Professor of Constitutional Law and law school Dean, and one of the attorneys for President Trump challenging illegality in the conduct of the 2020 election.

  9. “In Memory of Sergeant U.S. Army (Retired) Boone Cutler” Isaiah 6:8

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Sep 20, 2025

“It is with deep sadness, that I share the news of the recent passing of our friend and fellow warrior, Sergeant U.S. Army (Retired) Boone Cutler.

    (Video)

“Boone was a voice for truth, for patriots, and for the veteran community across the nation. He was truly a brother to all who have borne the weight of war – in its many forms. His life’s work was dedicated to giving hope and strength to veterans suffering from war-related injuries, Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and many other unseen scars of combat.

I am calling on all those who Boone has stood alongside, to take a moment – give a moment to Boone and his wonderful family. Reflect on his unbelievable life of service and sacrifice, all purposely and divinely created to protect others and defend our nation. He fought for all of us in so many ways. He made it his mission to ensure no one was left behind in their battles at home or abroad.

Boone’s legacy will forever live on in The Spartan Pledge, a solemn vow he championed for veterans: “I will not take my own life by my own hand until I talk to my battle buddy first. My mission is to find a mission to help my warfighter family.” This pledge remains a lifeline for those struggling with the invisible wounds of war, and it stands as a testament to Boone’s enduring commitment to saving lives.

As we mourn his passing, we honor his warrior spirit and renew our promise to look out for one another. Boone’s fight continues through each of us who live by the pledge, remember his words: “Control your emotions, protect your mind, and remember the mission.”Rest in peace, Boone. Your battle will carry on, along with your legacy.

And to Boone’s beautiful wife and children, we love you and we are here for you – always.Boone lived Isaiah 6:8,

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, Here am I. Send me!”

As I sit here today, as a witness to his passing into the eternal presence of God, I am reflecting on Isaiah 41:10.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Boone loved the Lord and this verse serves as a reminder of God’s presence in our lives, His strength and support for each one of us. God encourages us not to be afraid or discouraged but to trust in Him.

Boone would want us to Trust in Him, God our Father and Creator of everything that is good and decent in our lives. Say a prayer today for Boone and for our nation. Please consider donating to Boone’s family. Thank you.”
