The pharaoh hound is a medium-sized dog breed from Egypt with a long, thin build, large pointed ears, and a short, glossy coat. This breed has been used to hunt rabbits on the island of Malta for thousands of years. Some of these dogs are known to show all of their teeth in a special pharaoh hound smile, and they also have an especially unusual characteristic—they can blush when they’re excited, earning the nickname “Blushing Dog of Malta.”

Characteristics of the Pharaoh Hound

The bouncy pharaoh hound is an energetic dog breed with a playful personality, always interested in what’s going on in the household. Kids and the fun-loving pharaoh hound make great playmates, although these boisterous dogs might accidentally knock over a small child if not supervised by adults.  This sight hound (bred to hunt by sight) is used to working in packs, which means they’re especially dog-friendly and get along well with new people. Since pharaoh hounds have such a friendly temperament with humans, they’re more likely to engage a stranger in play than to guard the home front. However, they tend to bark at suspicious sounds to alert their family.  This breed has a high prey drive, so while pharaoh hounds can do well with cats when raised together, they’re likely to chase other pets like birds and small mammals.

History of the Pharaoh Hound

One of the oldest recorded dog breeds, the pharaoh hound originated in Egypt thousands of years ago. Evidence of the breed’s ancient history lives on today in beautiful works of art depicting pharaoh hounds. These sculptures and paintings found in Egyptian temples date as far back as 4400 B.C.1 

At some point in history, the pharaoh hound was brought to the Mediterranean island of Malta, possibly by the Phoenicians, where the dogs were used to hunt rabbits. The pharaoh hound has been known in Malta for more than 2,000 years, where the breed has remained virtually unchanged from its ancestors who are seen decorating Egyptian tombs. Today, the pharaoh hound is the national hound of Malta. The breed was first registered with the American Kennel Club in 1983 and is now a member of the Hound Group. 

Pharaoh Hound Care

Caring for a pharaoh hound is similar to other hound breeds, as these dogs require plenty of exercise but minimal grooming to stay happy and healthy. When it comes to training, this intelligent breed can learn new things with positive reinforcement methods but may have a stubborn streak.

Exercise

The pharaoh hound was born to run and needs appropriate outlets for this abundant energy. Provide daily running opportunities in a safely enclosed area, and include daily walks in your routine as well. Dog sports can be a great outlet for them, especially lure coursing (chasing a fake rabbit across a field). Younger dogs will need to stretch their legs more frequently (three or four times a day), but older pharaoh hounds can usually be satisfied with about 30 minutes of exercise per day.  When getting enough activity, pharaoh hounds are generally content to spend the rest of their day relaxing at home, perhaps with an impromptu play session indoors. 

Grooming

The pharaoh hound’s short, fine coat sheds very little. Truly a “wash and wear” breed, they require little brushing and infrequent bathing. A simple weekly wipe down over the body with a damp cloth is often all that is needed to keep the coat glossy. Pharaoh hounds do not typically have doggie odor, so bathe only when dirty. Clean the ears weekly with a pet-safe ear cleaner, brush the teeth daily, and trim the nails regularly.

Because the pharaoh hound’s coat is very thin, they do not tolerate cold well. It’s recommended to provide extra cold-weather care for this breed. They cannot be left outside in cold weather, and many people outfit their dogs in warm coats for winter walks. Even indoors, pharaoh hounds feel the chill of winter and the Pharaoh Hound Club of America recommends fleece jackets or even flannel pajamas when indoors in cold temperatures. These dogs also love to snuggle under a blanket with their family to keep warm. 

Training

Although highly intelligent, pharaoh hounds aren’t particularly obedient in the sense that they are independent-minded and won’t just do something because you ask. Training must be entertaining and fun. Make it a game and use positive methods with plenty of treats, toys, or playtime as rewards.  Pharaoh hounds have a high prey drive and will chase after anything they see or smell. Because of this, practice extreme caution with off-leash adventures; only allow them off leash if they have a rock-solid recall.

        I do know that Bill Montgomery and Foster Friess, both Christian conservatives, backed and mentored young Charlie Kirk, during and after his college years.

        SD says there are no indications that Israel influenced or killed Charlie Kirk.

      1. i remember puberty as being a rocky road for me–and mine started at 9. i can’t imagine throwing in a drug cocktail into the mix! these “doctors” need to reigned in. soon they will be willing to alter a kid’s face–adding cat ears or heaven forbid a real tail. experimenting on kids should be a BIG NO!

    Two leaders of Armed Queers — Ermyia Fanaeian and a man who called himself “Connor” — discussed their trip to Cuba in a since-deleted May video titled, “Cuba Report Back: Our Time as 2025 May Day Brigadistas.” A search by Just the News could not positively identify him. 

    The group’s core principles

    The Armed Queers leaders made it clear that they had been inspired by the Cuban revolution while over there and that they were looking to bring the revolution back to America. 

    Connor said that “we were there in Cuba to learn and to learn of the successes of the revolution and bring it back home with us.” Fanaeian said that “we definitely felt the pressure” to bring the revolution back to America, saying that she was essentially told in Cuba that “okay y’all are here, y’all are learning this information, you’re learning how we made our revolution, but now it’s time for you to go home and make your own revolution.”

    The Utah-based Armed Queers of Salt Lake City (SLC) was founded in 2020 and describes itself as “a revolutionary LGBTQ organization dedicated to the defense, and success, of oppressed people’s movements.” 

    Armed Queers SLC merges armed community defense and LGBTQ activism with anti-imperialism with the goal of “advancing a broader struggle against capitalism and state violence,” according to a review of its public social media posts and materials.

    The group did not respond to a request for comment sent to its email account. As of Saturday, their Facebook page does not indicate that Tyler Robinson is or was a follower of the group. Just The News was unable to determine if he had been a member or follower prior to any such evidence possibly being deleted.

    Robinson, a 22-year-old who had anti-fascist messaging engraved on his ammunition found by law enforcement, was charged with several felonies, including aggravated murder for the shooting of conservative leader Charlie Kirk.

    The Armed Queers claimed to abide by six principles, an archive of the group’s membership application describes. The first principle is the “armed and militant protection of queer and trans communities.” The group also aims to achieve “the end of capitalist oppression and exploitation,” the “creation of a socialist society,” “trans liberation,” and the “abolition of prisons and police,” the principles describe. 

    Armed Queers is an explicitly Communist organization. One leader of the group said at a July event that “we are a queer and trans-led Marxist-Leninist organization.”

    Acted as security detail for drag shows against “right-wingers”

    The group’s now-deleted Instagram account shows Armed Queers holding monthly training sessions to develop “self-defense knowledge.” According to photographs archived by Just the News before the social media account was taken down, members were trained in the use of firearms……”

    The case will now go to trial to decide whether the plan discriminates specifically against sheriff’s deputy Anna Lange.

    The Supreme Court rejected many of Lange’s arguments for insurance to cover “male-to-female” surgery by upholding Tennessee’s ban on blockers and hormones for gender-confused minors, the majority said. The county plan “does not treat anyone differently based on a protected characteristic” in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

    The announcement comes ahead of the Wednesday deadline for the short-video app’s U.S. assets to be divested or shut down, Reuters reported Sunday. The outlet had reported that Trump was expected to extend the deadline for TikTok to be sold by, or divested from, China’s ByteDance.

    This extension, of which a source informed Reuters, would be the fourth of the original January deadline set by a law that Congress passed. After taking office on Jan. 20, Trump first extended the deadline to early April, then from May to June, and a third time to September. Trump said last month that he had U.S. buyers lined up for the app and could extend the deadline again.

    However, on Sunday, Trump said regarding TikTok’s future, “I may or may not, we’re negotiating TikTok right now. We may let it die, or we may, I don’t know, it depends, up to China. It doesn’t matter too much. I’d like to do it for the kids.”

    The White House did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment on the expected extension for the app that is used by 170 million Americans.

    On Sunday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer began trade talks with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and China’s top trade negotiator, Li Chenggang, in Spain that will include TikTok, but a deal is not expected before Sept. 17, according to Reuters’ source.”

    ENTIRE ARTICLE: “While leftists around the country seek emergency court orders to stop President Donald Trump from fulfilling many of his campaign promises, a group of activists in Pennsylvania recently tried to use a similar tactic to take down an 88-year-old election law.

    Pennsylvania’s closed primary system, which requires voters to be registered with a political party to vote in that party’s primary, dates back to 1937. Like any law, it can be changed by the state legislature, but that requires time, effort, and political will. Instead, a group of four voters who don’t like the current primary system tried to use a judicial shortcut to accomplish their policy objective.

    They bypassed not just the legislature but also the lower courts, filing a Petition for Exercise of King’s Bench Jurisdiction and Declaratory Relief with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

    In the filing, the petitioners’ lawyers demanded the court exercise its King’s Bench power, a rarely used tool giving jurisdiction to the highest court in urgent matters, to declare the closed primary system unconstitutional. To explain why Pennsylvania’s 88-year-old system was a problem of “immediate public importance” needing an urgent, drastic solution that sidestepped the other branches of government and the lower courts, the filing referenced voters who chose not to register with a political party. Why that became such a pressing emergency during the summer of 2025 was not made clear.

    Each petitioner claimed roughly the same reasons for choosing not to register with a political party: that their former party no longer reflected their current views. The petitioners also denounced the public nature of registering with a party that they felt would reveal their own political preferences. Notably, they did not cite any law or government body that prevented them from registering with a political party, and therefore participating in primaries like millions of other Pennsylvanians. 

    The lead petitioner, Michael Smerconish, an attorney and media figure with a radio show and a weekly CNN program, waxed poetic online about the unfairness of closed primaries. You’d think someone with his résumé might understand that choosing not to affiliate with a political party is actually an exercise of a constitutionally preserved freedom, not a suppression of one. And even if he were granted the relief requested, his public voting record would show in which primary he participated — revealing the preferences he is so concerned about.

    On Aug. 25, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied the petition. Although the Commonwealth’s highest court has shown a penchant for conspicuous judicial activism in the past, trampling on laws duly passed by the legislature, this time, it chose not to jump into the fray. Three of the court’s seven members are on the ballot this year, asking voters to grant them each another 10-year term. While previously not shy about legislating from the bench, they likely weighed the risk of doing so right before an election, which could anger voters and place their seats on the bench in peril.

    In the closing paragraphs of their filing, the petitioners pointedly admit they are not asking the justices “to commend a constitutionally-permissible primary system to the Legislature.” This legalese demonstrates the hypocrisy of the entire exercise. In plain language, the petitioners told the court that they did not want it to craft a new primary scheme or recommend a legislative solution, as they considered that outside their power. 

    The petitioners tried to leave nothing to chance by explicitly narrowing the request to striking down the statutory definition of a qualified primary voter. They knew excising that definition would be akin to rewriting the law, but tried using lofty language to disguise their intent. In a refreshing and unusual exercise of restraint, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court declined to participate in their scheme.”

    “I locked all the doors. And I was afraid he’d come and do something to us,” said the 17-year-old son who was ordered to kill his sister, while speaking to police. Bild newspaper reports that the 17-year-old son courageously defied his father after he ordered the boy to kill his sister because she had violated the family’s honor.

    Her alleged violation? She had saved a boy’s phone number on her phone, which was supposed to merit a death sentence. “He looked at me with a cold stare. No smile, nothing,” the brother said. “Then he said, ‘You have to kill her. Make it look like an accident, like a fight. No one must know that she insulted my honor.’”

    The teenager went to the police with the information, saying it was clear he would never take his sister’s life.

    “It deserves the highest recognition that a young person in such a difficult and stressful situation finds the courage to turn to the police and thus also to stand up against his own father,” says Stephan Hartmann, head of the 1st Specialized Department of the Cuxhaven Police Department.

    The male suspect, 46-year-old Ali, fled to Germany with his wife and eight children in 2019 and lived on state benefits in a large apartment. However, the media reports indicate that the family lived under a very strict upbringing mandated by the father, who regularly beat his daughters and watched their every move. He forbade them from contacting other boys…..”

      EXCERPT: “For starters, let’s get the usual disclaimer out of the way. The opinions expressed in this essay are my own, and do not claim to represent the opinions of the US Government (USG), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), or the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). I currently serve as an unpaid volunteer member of the ACIP. What I am observing and learning from serving in that position has informed my opinions. I am embargoed by HHS from speaking about the specifics of internal deliberations, plans, and non-public information provided to me as a volunteer member. Basically, I am bound by a non-disclosure agreement.

      Last week, in the context of being lambasted by Senator Blumenthal for posting three memes (out of about forty, over two different substack posts) that he interpreted (or psychologically projected) as indicating that I was advocating violence against vaccine scientists, the Senator tried to express the nature and purpose of the ACIP. His inferences about the purpose of the ACIP basically parroted the misconceptions about this federally chartered advisory committee (under FACA) that have been promoted by lazy and incompetent corporate media narrative reinforcers. So what is the ACIP? Does it set vaccine policy for the nation, the narrative the Senator seems to believe, and the press so actively promotes?

      The ACIP is, by charter, an INDEPENDENT advisory committee only. Just like the name says. It is an Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. It does not set vaccine policy for the nation.

      Who does it advise? The Director of the CDC. Congress has recently determined that the Senate must have advice and approval of the Director of the CDC, which is an enormously cludgy and politicized process. If there is no confirmed Director, then the Secretary of HHS has to step in and receive the recommendations of the ACIP.

      The Director of the CDC or Secretary of HHS receives information relating to immunization practices from a variety of sources, including CDC bureaucrats and staff, published literature, policy advisors and virtually any other source of information the Director or Secretary wishes to use. The ACIP is only one source.

      The Director of the CDC or Secretary of HHS establishes policy, including federal policy regarding immunization. But the US Federal Government does not regulate the practice of medicine. That is not a responsibility of the Federal Government, as it is not enumerated in the US Constitution. The regulation of the practice of medicine, including vaccine policy, is the responsibility of the states. It is not within CDC or HHS authority, let alone ACIP authority, to establish national vaccination policies. This is a States Rights issue.

      This fundamental fact was explicitly clarified in the Supreme Court case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022). Writing for the majority in Dobbs, Justice Samuel Alito said that the only legitimate unenumerated rights — that is, rights not explicitly stated in the Constitution — are those “deeply rooted in the Nation’s history and tradition” and “implicit in the concept of ordered liberty.” Regulation of the practice of medicine, whether abortion policies or vaccination policies, is not a federal responsibility, it is explicitly the responsibility of the States. If California, Oregon, and Washington states wish to establish separate medical vaccine policies from Florida, that is their right to do so, within the boundaries of the Constitutional rights of individuals…..”

      ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Michael and Helen Green, of the UK, took a family vacation to Toronto, Canada, as a family of three, but came back as a family of four after Helen gave birth following a “cryptic pregnancy.”

      The family was spending the very first night of their vacation at a hotel in Toronto when Helen woke up in the middle of the night with a stomachache. Helen talked through what happened on the UK morning show, This Morning, telling hosts,

      All of a sudden, my body just said, ‘Push.’ It’s – my body just took over. And, a big push, and then, I sort of wasn’t sure what was happening, but I thought, ‘I kind of know this.’

      And she should have known what was happening, as this wasn’t her first pregnancy, but this time around, she reportedly had no symptoms of pregnancy, besides the actual baby at the end.

      Just as Helen realized what was happening, she reached down to grab the 8 lbs 3 oz baby girl out of the hotel toilet, saying she just held her away from her and looked at her in shock. Her 6-year-old daughter was sleeping in the hotel room, along with her husband, when Helen called out for help.

      The dad woke up to the shock of his life, telling This Morning,

      I genuinely thought it was a dream. When I first heard the baby cry, I thought, ‘I’m just having a dream,’

      It wasn’t a dream, and he quickly returned to the hotel room to call for medical assistance, telling his half-asleep daughter,

      I think mommy’s had a baby.

      Paramedics soon arrived and took the shocked mom to the hospital. They did have difficulty in delivering the placenta, which they believed could have contributed to masking the baby’s movements during pregnancy, but otherwise, the mom and baby had no complications.

      Unlike many of these stories, baby Olivia was born to married parents who appear to be joyfully accepting of her surprise arrival, and a big sister who is thrilled with having a real live baby doll.

      This was such a huge huge shock, and also such a lovely surprise. She just came along and it feels like she’s always been with us.

      If you did click from that popup, and you are unable to complete it because it won’t let you accept Terms etc, then:

      Go to C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload and DELETE any item dated today and day before.

      Then, go back to Updates in Settings and click PAUSE for 7 Days.

      Then click the option to INSTALL NOW at top of that app to undo the pause for 7 days… and the upgrade will download and install without error.

      Many of these Left-wing groups are funded by George Soros, ANTIFA being suspect #1. They are the “Brown Shirts” of the Democrat Party, a paramilitary organization used for violence and intimidation.

      Then take into account the ANTIFA phrases carved onto the bullet casings calling Charlie a “fascist” and “Bella ciao”, I think it’s safe to assume Robinson had some ANTIFA influence.

      If we find out ANTIFA, or one of these other Left-wing Soros-funded groups are involved with coordinating this attack, Charlie’s assassination could serve as the catalyst to declare the entire Soros network as a terrorist organization.”

      ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The news is moving fast – here’s the latest the Charlie Kirk assassin, Tyler Robinson, his transgender boyfriend, and apparent knowledge of the impending assassination by a handful of their transgender friends.

      For starters, Robinson isn’t cooperating with authorities. The cooperation is apparently coming from Robinson’s transgender boyfriend/partner: Lance Twiggs (he also goes by Luna). Twiggs was allegedly raised in a Christian home but rejected the faith and his family, chose radical gender ideology (leftism), and had an account on a sexual anime furry website. And of course, he was a Biden supporter. He “developed a hatred of Christians and conservatives,” becoming “progressively worse the last year or two” and having issues with anger.

      And according to reporting from Wisconsin Right Now, who spoke with a member of Twiggs’ family, he was in the process of transitioning and was taking different medications to further that goal. He was “very angry with anyone who is supportive of conservative ideals and Christian values.” He “is full of evil and hatred.”

      By all accounts, the political values of Robinson and Twiggs were aligned. They were liberal, had hatred for those who were against radical transgender ideology, and certainly had intense hatred for Charlie Kirk and what he stood for. And it seems like Robinson had a type: poorly transitioned dudes into furries. From our friend 0Hour:

      The left and the trans community has pushed-back on the allegations that Robinson was in a relationship with a transgender, claiming there was no proof, only rumors spread by the FBI. But eyewitness testimony, from a neighbor at their apartment complex who witnessed the two kissing two weeks ago, corroborates the relationship: “random guys don’t hold hands and definitely don’t kiss.”

      And even if the left accepts that Robinson and the transgender were in a relationship, they still conclude that Robinson was “straight.” How do you respond to that nonsense? Whatever the response is, it’s hard to improve on the repost below:

      Twigg has lied to investigators.

      Reporting indicates that Twigg was “aghast” that Robinson was responsible for Kirk’s murder, telling investigators “”That’s what happened? Oh my God, no.” Twigg maintains he “had no idea” about Robinson’s plan to assassinate Kirk, and that Robinson sent a “joke” about the killing.

      But is that true? Let’s go through what we know. The probable cause affidavit, released by Steven Crowder, states that Robinson sent these Discord messages to Twigg (and possibly others):

      “The content of these messages include messages with the contact ‘Tyler’ stating a need to retrieve a rifle from a drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush, messages related to visually watching the area where a rifle was left, and a message referring to having left the rifle wrapped in a towel. These messages also refer to engraving bullets, and a mention of a scope and the rifle being unique. Messages from the contact Tyler also mention that he had changed outfits.”

      From those messages, we can see at least a couple lies. First, Robinson wasn’t joking in his Discord messages. Rather, he was describing his actions in real-time.

      Second, Twigg’s shock at Robinson’s involvement is fake. Totally false. Twigg had knowledge that Robinson fired the shot minutes after it occurred. Twigg knew about the engraved bullets, the method of concealing the firearm and the necessity to retrieve the firearm, and how Robinson was evading capture.

      It is likely there were additional messages between Robinson and Twigg after the shooting – perhaps some that expired after sending. Robinson trusted Twigg, and they were close enough that Robinson confessed the crime to Twigg. And Twigg rewarded that trust by refusing to report Robinson to authorities.

      The Transgender Assassination Predictions

      And if Robinson trusted Twigg with information post-assassination, it’s highly likely that he shared the assassination plans with Twigg before it occurred. Are we to believe that Robinson didn’t store the gun at their apartment before the shooting? Or that Twigg didn’t see Robinson packing his bag with a change of clothes or engraving the bullets? That Twigg is just an oblivious idiot, having no idea where his boyfriend was on the morning of September 10?

      This isn’t just deduced from their relationship and apparent shared hatred of Charlie Kirk, Christians, and conservatives, but also from the predictions from transgenders (and those involved in transgender subcultures) who foresaw the date and location of the assassination. The FBI has confirmed that Robinson expressed his plans in advance to the shooting. (The investigation into what Robinson said and to whom Robinson relayed these plans is ongoing.)

      And according to breaking reporting from Aaron Sibarium with the Free Beacon:

      “The FBI is investigating social media posts by at least seven different accounts that appeared to indicate foreknowledge of the assassination of Charlie Kirk.”

      Transgender social media friends with Robinson’s boyfriend essentially predicted the assassination days before it occurred. It defies belief that this would be coincidental – again, these predictions were date and location specific. Here are some examples:

      A transgender – “Skyler Webster” from Seattle – had “big news” 5 days before the assassination. (HT Aesthetica for the LinkedIn profile.)

      Another social media friend of Robinson’s boyfriend – who actually went to Utah Valley University – had this reaction to the assassination: “WE FUCKING DID IT”

      Tying into the group knowledge is a neighbor’s observation that “several people, driving out-of-state plates, were seen going in and out” of Robinson and Twigg’s apartment. The neighbor stated these people “did not give off a good vibe.” At this point, it’s hard to tell whether anything nefarious was going on or whether this was a gathering of weirdos. These people don’t give off good vibes in general.

      Whether there is enough information to pursue charges is another matter. It’ll be a task for authorities to establish whether Robinson had any assistance in planning or sourcing materials. At a minimum, there was a group of transgenders who knew about the assassination. And they did nothing to stop it.

      That’s not just reflective of how radical the trans community has become, but also demonstrates the broader hatred of traditional values. You’ve seen the social media posts celebrating the assassination. How many of them would have stopped it before Charlie Kirk was killed?”
