The 7 Funniest Deer Hunting Posts of All Time
– Wednesday December 8, 2021 – Daniel Schmidt
Deer hunting is a time-honored tradition and, for many of us, a 24/7 lifestyle. I’ve had the good fortune of spending the past 27+ years of my life living the dream of getting to think about deer hunting “for a living,” and most of that time has been in serious, reflective thought. My job is to report the facts, foster this wholesome lifestyle and recruit our next generations of hunters. But there are times when we keep it light, as they say, and find humor in some of those things we deal with on the daily.
Here are the 7 best deer hunting memes, clips, posts — there’s a mix — that I’ve seen (and even created) over the past, oh, 15-ish years of this social media madness:
#7 Funniest Deer Hunting Post: “Deer Meat Wanted.”
This one has been floating around for year. I do not know it’s origin other than it was a real-life newspaper classified. It reads: “DEER meat wanted, fo free. I am not poor, I am just not a good hunter. (phone number) Thanks!”
Hey, at least the person is honest!
#6 Funniest Deer Hunting Post: “Take Her Somewhere Special.”
I created this meme last year, but I cannot take credit for the top photo. That image has been used on social media thousands of times for other memes. When I added the photo of the deer mounts, I thought maybe my buddies around here would “get” it. They did, but so did a lot of other folks! This post received thousands of likes and shares, and I’ve even seen others take it, revise it and make it even funnier.
5 Funniest Deer Hunting Post: “Sitting in Your Stand … and You Hear a Twig Break.”
This is another one of my creations. I don’t recall the exact year (I want to say this was either 2011 or 2012), but this was another commonly used image in memes across the Internet. Back in those days, DDH was a tiny subsidiary of a large corporate entity. Our bosses were pressing all of us (hard) to either accept social media (when traditional media was pretty much opposed to it) or find new employment. I dove headfirst into building our Facebook page (which became the company’s largest social footprint). This one came to me one day when I saw the baby’s excited face and said, “Hey, that’s me EVERY time I think I hear a deer!” My coworkers laughed out loud (they knew it was true), and a meme was born.
#4 Funniest Deer Hunting Post: “Deer Hides in Barrel.”
No clue who was responsible for this one, but it makes me laugh out loud to this day. Pure genius. Who HASN’T run across a deer-hide donation barrel in their day? Heck, we used to have them at every gas station, grocery store parking lot and even some churches here in Wisconsin. The guys who saw the humor in this — and then pulled off the perfect photo shoot — get a gold star for this one!
#3 Funniest Deer Hunting Post: “Clueless Shed Hunter.”
I vividly recall when this photo was first circulating on Facebook. As much as you would think that it was created to be a joke, it WASN’T! The guy truly thought he had been tracking the same buck for years. The first comment was something like, “Um … who wants to tell him?” That literally made me spit coffee all over my laptop that morning.
#2 Funniest Deer Hunting Post: “The Painful Bowel Movement.”
Poor Tyler. He’s in his mid-20s now, but he will forever be known as the kid that pooped a hefty 8-pointer. That copy editor surely was reprimanded after that newspaper hit the streets.
And, finally, the best of all-time:
#1 Funniest Deer Hunting Post: “Move the Deer Crossing Signs!”
I’m just going to take a wild guess that Tim Abbot knows a little more about deer behavior today than he did when he sat down and hammered out this letter to the editor years ago. Please … someone track him down and confirm that he does. Because I’m quite certain there’s a whole new crop of ill-informed city folks who probably think the same thing today!

Good morning! 63 here this morning and cloudy, possible rain. I’m not sure if that will prevent Chance from taking the tree down…..IF it even rains. Rough night last night….trying to cough up this thick crap in my lungs is exhausting. Woke up drenched in sweat at one point and wide awake. I haven’t had a night like that for while now but, then, I also didn’t have the oxygen going and had the a/c up high – 77. Dropped it and hooked up to the oxygen and it got better. Really shaky this morning…

Finally! Judge dismisses suit against Trump administration by Teachers Union.
FTA
“The first several paragraphs of the Complaint are devoted to sensational rhetoric about the ‘transcendent value’ of academic freedom, and ‘the Trump administration’s’ effort to ‘control the thought’ of ‘faculty and students’ (though Plaintiffs do not purport to represent any students) by placing a ‘gun to the head’ of non-party Columbia University,” Vyskocil wrote.
She then went through the litany of bizarre counts against the Trump administration from the unions that did not describe any more than a tenuous relationship to the funding cuts at best. The unions even argued that the fact that they chose to spend money to oppose potential (yes, potential, not real) action from the Trump administration meant they had standing.
An organization “cannot spend its way into standing simply by expending money to gather information and advocate against the defendant’s action,” the judge wrote, quoting the Supreme Court.
Teachers unions, and universities for that matter, apparently believe they are entitled to federal funding and that any cut is a constitutional impossibility representing some kind of free speech violation. But as Vyskocil soberly pointed out in her second appeal to the fact that elections have consequences, the cuts are often made simply because the president — and the people who elected him — have priorities that differ from those of the unions and universities.
“Plaintiffs apparently fail to grasp that one possible inference from this state of affairs is that funding cuts were made and maintained not to punish speech but because, for example, it is not consistent with the priorities of the NIH under the current, democratically-elected President, to continue to fund Columbia’s research into the impact of climate change on the mental health of women in East Africa. … Declining to fund such research is not a First Amendment injury,” she wrote.
It does not appear that the unions will “grasp” that possibility, as both have stated they plan to appeal the decision, with AAUP stating that “The Trump administration’s threats and coercion at Columbia University are part of an authoritarian agenda that extends far beyond Columbia,” adding, “We will continue to fight back.”

Just The News: “The Pentagon reportedly suspended a military official on Tuesday who helped advise the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on plans and strategies in Israel, after he allegedly made anti-semitic posts online, the Jewish News Syndicate reported.
Col. Nathan McCormack, the Levant and Egypt branch chief at the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s J5 planning directorate, allegedly had a history of making anti-Israel posts through a semi-anonymous social media account, including claims that Israel is a “death cult” who acts as the U.S.’s “worst ally.”
A Pentagon official on the Joint Staff told the outlet that the department is aware of the posts and is investigating the matter. “The information on the X account does not reflect the position of the Joint Staff or the Department of Defense,” the unnamed official said. “The individual is being returned to his service while the matter is being investigated.”
The official clarified that McCormack’s return to service meant he would not be part of the Joint Staff while the investigation is going on, and an officer has been assigned to lead the internal investigation.
“Our global alliances and partnerships are vital to our national security, enhancing our collective defense, deterrence and operational reach,” the official added.
The suspension comes after Israel escalated a conflict with Iran last week by attacking the country’s nuclear facilities and killing multiple military leaders and scientists. The U.S. and Israel have maintained that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.”

Personally, I think she is focusing far too much on the negative….lighten up, Julie! I’m not seeing these so-called “fissures!” Some disagreements – of course! But nothing all that substantial! Anyone else? Tucker’s father worked for the CIA😉😉😉😉 And Bannon? Pffffttt…..
“MAGAlaise Fissures among MAGA are boiling over this week. Let’s hope this malaise doesn’t last.”
Julie Kelly, Jun 17, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “It is hard to believe that barely one year ago, Joe Biden self-immolated on a debate stage in Atlanta. His cringeworthy meltdown set off a chain of events that led to the most dramatic—and exciting—presidential election in U.S. history.
What transpired after the evening of June 27, 2024 is a timeline even the best fiction writer could not have imagined. A near-fatal assassination attempt against Donald Trump; the replacement of Biden with Kamala Harris; another assassination attempt against Trump.
The Supreme Court mostly ruled in Trump’s favor on the question of presidential immunity from criminal prosecution related to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s January 6 indictment. A few weeks later, a Florida judge dismissed the other federal indictment brought by Smith in the so-called classified documents case.
The richest man in the world, once an icon of the Left, endorsed Trump and hit the campaign trail in energetic fashion.
Every day created a rollercoaster-like atmosphere—and ended with the greatest political comeback in U.S history when Donald Trump, written off for the political dead, decisively won the presidency. A story, those of us on the winning side still boast, we’ll one day tell our children and grandchildren. But that wasn’t the end of the grand story.
Too Good to Be True—or Last
Republicans won the House and the Senate. Early cabinet picks indicated Trump 47 would look nothing like Trump 45; rather than fill his White House with Beltway lifers recommended by other Beltway lifers, Trump this time selected hardcore MAGA loyalists to populate his administration. The emboldened MAGA movement signaled playbook efforts to submarine controversial picks would not be tolerated.
In an ironic twist, the president took the oath of office in the very building Democrats, the media, and many members of his own party insisted was the scene of an “insurrection” that he allegedly incited on January 6, 2021.
After Inauguration Day, Trump issued a series of executive orders, many of which settled scores with those who tried to destroy him including Democratic tied law firms. He pardoned J6ers. The directives also attempted to undo the incalculable damage Joe Biden—or someone under his name—inflicted on the country over the course of four years, particularly policies on climate change, DEI, and transgenderism.
The MAGA movement was on a bender, a high that surpassed Trump’s surprise victory in 2016.
A Temporary Letdown or Permanent Hangover?
But reality quickly sunk in. Republicans in Congress, particularly the Senate, gave off first term Trump vibes. Federal judges appointed by Republican and Democratic presidents unofficially declared their role as the new Trump resistance, sabotaging even the most common sense initiatives such as deporting illegal Venezuelans tied to a dangerous South American crime racket or halting gender “reassignment” therapies for federal inmates.
The national news media set its collective sights on Elon Musk, who volunteered to oversee a wide ranging operation identifying hundreds of billions in wasteful and even corrupt government spending, which prompted public backlash that threatened his personal safety and business empire. The promise of the Department of Government Efficiency, fully embraced by the MAGA base, became bogged down in bad press and litigation. Musk and Trump then endured a nasty, if temporary, breakup.
Fissures within the MAGA base quickly developed—in my opinion, unreasonably so—when the new leadership at the Department of Justice and FBI did not immediately start perp-walking the biggest Trump villains, despite aggressive house cleaning at both agencies beginning on day one. (Publicity stunts about the so-called Epstein files did not help.) Impatient for retribution for the lawfare against the president, his allies, and his voters, influential corners of the MAGA social media space even ludicrously suggested DOJ and FBI leadership were somehow compromised.
More recently, the president sent mixed messages about the deportation of illegals, an issue that perhaps more than any other got him elected. After stating he would revisit the removal of illegals working in hospitality and agriculture, an announcement that resulted in swift backlash on MAGA social media, Trump relented. (Luckily, Democrats are jumping the shark on a daily basis by attacking law enforcement and confronting administration officials in defense of those here illegally.)
But nothing appears to threaten the cohesiveness of the Trump coalition like Israel’s ongoing strikes against Iran. The conflict, and potential U.S. involvement, is pitting longtime Trump allies such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Steve Bannon, and Tucker Carlson against the president, Congressional Republicans, and media/social media influencers who won’t rule out engagement of some sort. After Carlson publicly warned participating in the war could “effectively end Trump’s presidency,” the president described Carlson, who campaigned for Trump last year, as “kooky.”
And of course this is all music to the media’s ears.
Now, there’s not too much harm in a little name-calling among friends; disagreement is necessary to keep any political movement sharp and nimble. And this is less a trust issue with the president and more a matter of deja vu—or PTSD, take your pick—from the GOP’s neocon days.
However, there is a real possibility the current finger pointing could develop into long term fractures beyond repair—which endangers the widely agreed-upon agenda of America First.
A letdown after a high, especially a high of this magnitude, is expected. But an extended hangover does no one any good.”

i take most of this stuff with a grain of salt these days. it’s ALL about the clicks with most “press/news” types anymore. everything is sensationalized for profit. are there disagreements in MAGA? of course there are. we are not hive mentality people imo. we think for ourselves for the most part. which is good. respect others opinions and freedom to express them. NO ONE and i mean NO ONE knows everything or what POTUS is thinking/planning…it’s all speculation.

Just The News: “The State Department on Tuesday announced the creation of a new Middle East task force that is designed to help Americans still in the war-torn region amid an escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
The task force comes after Israel attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities last week, killing many of its military leaders and scientists in hopes of stopping the country from developing a nuclear weapon.
The State Department has issued multiple travel advisories and alerts for Americans in the region since the conflict escalated, including changing travel advisories for both countries to a Level 4.
“The Department of State has established the Middle East task force to help coordinate support for U.S. citizens, our U.S. diplomatic missions and our diplomatic personnel and diplomatic engagement,” State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce told reporters. “The task force is operating 24 hours a day. We remind U.S. citizens not to travel to Israel or Iraq, and not to travel to Iran under any circumstances.”
Bruce added that Americans in the Middle East can call the State Department at (+1 202-501-4444) for assistance.”

Just The News: “Disgraced R&B singer Robert Sylvester Kelly, known professionally as R. Kelly, has been hospitalized after allegedly overdosing in prison. Kelly is serving a 30-year prison sentence following a 2021 federal court conviction for racketeering, having sex with underage girls and violating the Mann Act, a sex0trafficking law. The 58-year Kelly was later found guilty on sex crime charges, and he is now serving his sentence in a North Carolina prison.
Kelly’s lawyers allege the overdose occurred on medication that had been given to him by the prison staff, according to USA Today.
The newspaper also reported that prior to the overdose, Kelly was placed in solitary confinement by the prison staff on June 10 “against his will.” This was after his legal team filed a motion for an emergency release from prison, claiming that Kelly’s life was being threatened.
His lawyers also alleged that prison officials have been plotting to have him killed by another inmate. Kelly attorney Beau Brindley has reportedly requested that the courts move his client to home detention for his safety. He has also publicly confirmed that he is seeking a pardon from President Trump on behalf of his client.”

“EXCLUSIVE: Sen. Marshall Introduces Legislation Mandating Truck Drivers Speak English”
The Federalist, By: Brianna Lyman, June 18, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “On Wednesday, Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., will introduce legislation that would require prospective truck drivers or other commercial motor vehicle drivers to speak, read, and understand proficient English before obtaining a license.
“Common sense would tell us that anyone driving on American roads, especially those operating large trucks and trailers, should be capable of understanding what the road signs say or how to communicate with police,” Marshall said in a statement to The Federalist. “Kansans deserve to know that commercial operators are held to the highest safety standards. I am proud to introduce legislation that ensures those driving the largest vehicles on the road can understand the official language of America: English.”
“English proficiency for commercial truck drivers isn’t just practical, it can be a matter of life and death. The unwillingness of previous administrations to enforce this commonsense regulation undermines roadway safety and puts all drivers at risk,” Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, who co-sponsored the legislation, said in a statement to The Federalist. “I’m proud to work with Senator Marshall to restore this critical safety standard. This legislation is a straightforward, sensible step that will make our roads and highways safer for everyone.”
Current law requires a driver operating a commercial vehicle must “read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to response to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.”
But the law is largely toothless, with no enforcement mechanism. The Commercial Motor Vehicle English Proficiency Act would amend Title 49 by requiring the testing of prospective drivers on their ability to read and understand English so that they can understand traffic signs, communicate with law enforcement in English, and provide/receive directions in English. The test must be administered in English as well.
The legislation comes weeks after President Donald Trump issued an executive order stating that “proficiency in English … should be a non-negotiable safety requirement for professional drivers.”
“They should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety, border patrol, agriculture checkpoints, and cargo weight-limit station officers,” Trump’s order stated. “This is common sense.”
“The new order reverses a 2016 memorandum issued during former President Barack Obama’s administration, which removed the requirement to place drivers out of service for English Language Proficiency violations and eased enforcement standards,” according to Newsweek.
Transportation Sec. Sean Duffy later signed a directive ordering truck drivers who are not fluent in English to be taken off the road.”

“‘OceanGate’ Documentary Dives Deep Into The Deception, Disregard That Led To Sub Implosion”
The Federalist, By: Jordan Boyd, June 18, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Exploration — of land, air, space, and water — is often hailed as a noble feat that has defined nations and people for centuries. Whether the OceanGate submersible’s deadly dive to the Titanic in summer 2023 meets that bar, however, is up for debate.
In “TITAN: The OceanGate Submersible Disaster,” documentarian Mark Monroe dives deep into the decisions that ultimately led to the watery demise of OceanGate Founder and CEO Stockton Rush, the Titan submersible, and its passengers.
According to the former OceanGate employees interviewed for the documentary, Rush likely would have believed he died a maritime exploration martyr. After all, the boy who dreamed of being an astronaut became an adult determined to conquer the Earth’s last great frontier.
His desire to be the next Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk by creating a dynasty of ocean excursions and underwater communities, however, never manifested the way he imagined when he launched OceanGate in 2009. “TITAN’s” interviews with the former employees, U.S. Coast Guard Investigator Jason Neubauer, a family member of a Titan passenger, and legitimate explorers and maritime experts who encountered the submersible and its inventor strongly suggest that Rush cut corners on his projects at every turn.
Mothership, We Have A Problem
David Lochridge, OceanGate’s former director of marine operations, was the only employee who, according to reports, emails, and audio recordings, openly pushed back on Rush’s attempts to ignore and cover up operational problems. For his outspokenness, Lochridge explained in the documentary, he was fired.
He tried to loop in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (especially because Rush was doing his best to sell the public on OceanGate without revealing its technological vulnerabilities), but red tape kept his case from getting the timely attention it deserved. Lochridge’s OSHA case manager admitted in the documentary that he did not get to his complaint, which was later withdrawn by Lochridge after months of legal threats from Rush and OceanGate.
One of the biggest flaws Lochridge identified with Titan during his time at OceanGate was the shell of the submersible. Rush’s attempt to create a lighter, cheaper vehicle by using a carbon-fiber hull turned out to be more of a pipe dream than an innovation. Tests on the porous material yielded breakage that manifested as audible “pops” with every mounting pressure marker.
Despite nearly a decade of red flags raised by experts and the team charged with building the Titan submersible, Rush plowed ahead with his quest to take tourists on undersea trips to the Titanic wreckage.
Rush pulled off several test dives in the submersible that increased signs of fissure and damage. His survivor’s bias, especially after living to see a crack in the structure occur without an implosion, led to an exodus of OceanGate engineers and employees who claimed in the documentary that they were uncomfortable with themselves or passengers spending time underwater in the glorified capsule.
Rush’s dreams of turning the Titan into a tourist vessel officially sank on June 18, 2023, when the underwater vehicle’s hull audibly imploded, immediately killing its five passengers.
A Drop In The Ocean
While the U.S. government had evidence of the implosion from the get-go, it was not immediately clear to the public or the families of the passengers that the submersible was gone for good. In fact, the daughter of Titan victim Paul-Henry Nargeolet, a French deep sea explorer and Titanic expert, said government officials falsely inflated family members’ hopes with calls boasting of their rigorous search efforts.
Corporate media also repeatedly suggested that Rush and his passengers could be alive. Outlets often noted how many “hours of oxygen” were left in the pod and circulated claims of “banging noises” around the suspected site of the sub. Debris, discovered a few days after the submersible lost contact with its mothership and later fished out of Atlantic, however, confirmed that neither the Titan nor its crew survived.
It suffered, by different means, a similar fate to the ship it was intended to explore. Many have speculated over the last two years why Rush continued what we now know was his doomed mission. Some said he motivated by the money promised by wannabe passengers. Others, including many in the documentary, claimed he was a narcissist or a “humble human but arrogant scientist” who didn’t know when to quit.
The U.S. Coast Guard has yet to release their findings about the implosion. If one thing about the Titan tragedy is certain, however, it’s that Rush wanted to be remembered as a deep sea explorer.
The sea, like a siren, was always calling to him. Two years ago today, the swirling depths permanently captured him. Unfortunately for the four others aboard Rush’s apparent death trap, the ocean doesn’t discriminate.”

Pretty ticked off right now, TBH. I finally called my power company after waiting a week+ after sending them an e-mail – (1) see if they could help w/a back-up – he was not aware of any grants – I told him my electrician was, (2) We can let you know ahead of time when we’ll be cutting off power so you can go to the hospital or something, (3) Could I at least be one of the first to get power back when that is possible? Nope, we have to do 3-phase first to get the most people back, then do the single phase. SMDH – their customer service sucks bigly and always has!!! I have been a customer for 12+ years and never ONCE made a payment late! But they are the only option. I said thanks for nothing and hung up.

“NY proposes Cow control”
Posted on June 18, 2025
“A New York bill that would restrict the size of cattle farms has sparked controversy as urban climate change legislators from the Big Apple seek to limit rural livelihoods by imposing regulatory limits on the number of cows a farm can have. The attack on cow emissions by city slickers who know nothing about farming has farmers, legislators, and reportedly even Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul up in arms in opposition.700-Cow Climate Limit?
Sponsored by downstate Democrats and several members of the Democratic Socialists of America, NY State Senate Bill 2025-S6530 “Prohibits the department of environmental conservation from issuing or authorizing any permits to new or expanding large concentrated animal feeding operations.” Supporters seek to restrict large-scale factory farms to protect the environment and small family farms, but many farmers claim their larger farms are also family-owned, with some spanning many generations.”

downstate NY is a freaking menace to upstate NY! upstate is really pretty nice, but they can’t lease their own property for gas exploration, and have to be super careful about farming and waterways.
meanwhile downstate can allow millions of leeches off the system in cities which upstate has to pay taxes for. they live on the streets, shoot up anywhere, light people on fire in the subway and get off scott free. but yeah, upstate you have one too many cows. smh

Oh, FFS! I am soooo sick and tired of this fearmongering! CONGRESS NEEDS TO STOP STEALING THE $$$$!!!!
Just The News: “The country’s Social Security program is expected to run out of money a year earlier than projected last year, according to the Social Security Board of Trustees on Wednesday.
Last year, the board projected that the combined reserves of the program – otherwise known as the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance and Disability Insurance Trust Funds – would run out in 2035. This year, the board moved the projection up to 2034 for the funds to pay for all scheduled benefits and associated administrative costs, with 81% of benefits payable at that time.
The OASI Trust Fund is projected to be depleted in 2033, which is the same as last year’s estimate, with 77% of benefits payable at that time. The DI Trust Fund reserves are not projected to be depleted during the 75-year projection period.
In the trustees’ 2025 report to Congress, they stated that the reserves of the two trust funds declined by $67 billion in 2024 to a total of $2.72 trillion, and the total annual cost of the program is expected to exceed total annual income in 2025 and remain higher throughout the 75-year projection period.
“If Congress does not act, combined trust fund reserves are currently projected to become depleted in 2034,” the trustees said.
“To ensure we serve the public and deliver high-quality service to the 185 million people who work and pay payroll taxes for Social Security and the 70 million beneficiaries who will receive benefits during 2025, the financial status of the trust funds remains a top priority for the Trump Administration,” Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Congress, along with the Social Security Administration and others committed to eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse, must work together to protect and strengthen the trust funds for the millions of Americans who rely on it – now and in the future – for a secure retirement or in the event of a disability.”

Breitbart: “British lawmakers have backed the most significant change to abortion law in decades, voting in favour of an amendment to decriminalise abortions up to the moment of birth.
Under current British law, abortion is technically illegal. Still, it is decriminalised during the first 24 weeks of a pregnancy and in some limited cases beyond if the life of the mother is in danger. Over a quarter-million abortions take place legally in England and Wales under this system a year.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, the MPs backed an amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill by a margin of 379 MPs in favour to 137 against to decriminalise abortions at any time for women in England and Wales, the BBC reported. This would effectively end the ability of the state to prosecute women who intentionally end their pregnancies up to the moment of birth.
The legislation, put forward by left-wing Labour MP Tonia Antoniazzi, would not apply to doctors or others who assist in carrying out abortions without authorisation past the 24-week mark. Antoniazzi told the parliament that “these women need care and support, and not criminalisation.”
“Each one of these cases is a travesty, enabled by our outdated abortion law,” she said. “Originally passed by an all-male parliament elected by men alone, this Victorian law is increasingly used against vulnerable women and girls.”
The move was criticised by pro-life advocates, including the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC), which said that it was “horrified” by the vote. SPUC public policy manager Alithea Williams said: “If this clause becomes law, a woman who aborts her baby at any point in pregnancy, even moments before birth, would not be committing a criminal offence.” “Now, even the very limited protection afforded by the law is being stripped away,” she added.
The Antoniazzi amendment passed by the Commons on Tuesday did not go as far as a competing legislation from arch progressive Labour MP Stella Creasy, who also sought to amend the Crime and Policing Bill.
Creasy’s amendment, which did not make it to the floor for a vote, would have enshrined abortion access as a human right and eliminated all restrictions outlined in the 1861 Offences Against the Person Act. Creasy has been one of the leading advocates for liberalising abortion in Britain and has been a major backer of the imposition of anti-free speech “buffer zones” to criminalise protests and even silent prayer outside abortion clinics in Britain.
While MPs voted to add the Antoniazzi amendment to the Crime Bill on Tuesday, the legislation still needs final approval from both the Commons and the House of Lords before it becomes law.”

there is rarely a reason to terminate a pregnancy that late–right before birth.

“Canada Continues Time-Honored Tradition Of Being Worse Than The USA At Everything”
Sports · Jun 18, 2025 · BabylonBee.com
SUNRISE, FL — Residents of The Great White North exploded into celebration once again last night, as Canada continued its time-honored tradition of being worse than the United States at everything.
The latest installment of the 158-year tradition came Tuesday night, as the Edmonton Oilers once again lost in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals to the Florida Panthers, once again solidifying Canada’s status as being inferior to the U.S. in every way.
“We weren’t sure if we could get crushed by a team whose state doesn’t even have ice, but we did it!” said Edmonton center Connor McDavid. “It looked touch and go for a while, there, going to a sixth game in the series. We came pretty close to disappointing everyone by winning it all, but thankfully, we were able to hold on and continue the tradition. This is what Canada is all aboot.”
Following the loss, the team received a congratulatory message from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. “I wanted to extend my gratitude to the Oilers for upholding our nation’s longest and most well-known tradition,” Carney said. “Someday, hopefully long, long in the future, there may come a day when Canada is better at something than the United States. But that day is not today. Today, we celebrate that our proud streak remains intact. So, raise a Molson Ice and eat a bowl of poutine, Canadians. The Edmonton Oilers have shown the world once again where Canada belongs: behind the U.S.”
At publishing time, the Toronto Blue Jays had pledged to double the number of games back they were in the American League East to ensure that they would do their part to uphold the Canadian tradition.

I watched the first trial on ID and I never believed she did it.
Just The News: “A Massachusetts jury on Wednesday acquitted Karen Read on all charges related to the death of her former boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, who died more than three years ago.
The verdict occurred during Read’s second trial, after the first ended in a mistrial last year. Read did not testify in either trial.
Read had been accused of hitting O’Keefe with her car outside a Boston house party and then leaving O’Keefe to die in a snow storm. However, her defense claimed the ex-cop was beaten and bitten by a dog and left in the cold, per the New York Post.
The jury found her not guilty of murder in the second degree, motor vehicle manslaughter while driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision that caused the death of O’Keefe. She was convicted of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, NBC News reported.
The verdict occurred during the fourth day of deliberations and after two months of testimony.”

I’m kind of getting concerned about how, exactly, Chance is planning on taking down this tree. He’s talking about moving all the plant hangers and the swing, parking the bucket truck IN my yard….and I don’t understand why unless he plans on cutting the limbs and just letting them drop. That will put some HUGE holes/gouges in my yard, not to mention some of them are hanging out over the garden beds! I CANNOT have those garden beds destroyed – I’ve worked on that Honeysuckle for 10 years!!!
In 2014, I had a guy from Bloomington come in to trim that tree, as well as take out several others. He parked his bucket truck just outside the fence line, in the alley. He would raise the bucket and wrap a chain around the limb and attach it to the boom, then cut the limb and swing it out into the alley. And nothing had to be moved, no damage to yard or anything else. So I’m going to ask him to explain exactly how he plans on doing it….but I sure don’t want to insult him or anything so I’ll have to be very, very careful…..but I need to know how he’s going to do it.
