      1. but the leftist judges (another yesterday iirc) said that the invasion has to be by a foreign government. the DOJ is arguing it NEVER states that in the law or act…thereby leaving that up to the President to decide what is an invasion.
        SCOTUS needs to act! maybe bring these invaders to THEIR neighborhoods and see their response!

    In theory, Israel can try to imprison Thunberg and her merry band for violating its territorial waters. However, Israel has a more appropriate plan, and one that fits the crime. It’s going to educate Thunberg, who lives in a leftist bubble, about what happened on October 7:

    If Thunberg and crew try to close their eyes to the horrors before them, I hope that they are prevented from doing so.

    GPS—this dudes not even from Mexico! He very likely originated from Venezuela (based on money transfers to potential family members)

    Here’s a great tale describing our current illegal immigrant crisis…

    “Not long ago, I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed.

    Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

    But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table… everywhere.

    Then some of the birds turned mean — they would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket.

    And others birds were boisterous and loud — they sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

    After a while, I couldn’t even sit on my own back porch anymore.

    I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone.

    I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

    Soon, the back yard was like it used to be…quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.”

    Maybe we just need to take down the bird feeder.

  20. OK….sliding on down for status report…..posted @ M’s, too.

    I’m here, jam! Just had yet another cluster fuck to deal with first thing since I now have oral thrush (as expected) so I can eat/drink even less – a known side effect of some of the drugs they were giving me. Finally, after 2 hours of bureaucratic BS and me freaking out, I got a call from the Norfolk VA clinic and they are overnighting the medication I need.

    I called our fearless leader and unloaded and she got me laughing! Hangin’ in there and makin’ progress. My electrician, Jake, stopped by and he was curious about my military service so I told him some stories that he enjoyed tremendously. He is working on getting back-up power supply; unfortunately, they don’t manufacture smaller ones just for the oxygen concentrator but he has some leads on a grant, and I have several places to check on.

    My gastro doctor called and said my ulcer was HUGE and wants me to double up on the medication for that. VA will overnight additional 30-60 day supply.

    Gettin’ there a little bit @ a time, my friend! I contacted the PO to arrange front door delivery of my mail since my box is all the way out on the road, so that is in the works. Bureaucratic BS yet again – paperwork has to be filled out and sent to DC – could take 1-2 months for approval…..sigh…..but Lorraine @ the PO will talk to the carrier about it anyway – kind of doin’ it on the down low, so to speak – I give her lopes all the time! He’s a nice guy. If not, Jake said just give him a call.

    ENTIRE ARTICLE: “I can’t take it anymore. I am fully onboard with being fiscally responsible and reducing the deficit, but I feel like many are failing to recognize the severity of the situation. We are in a fight for our survival.

    The Dems use illegal immigration to maintain their power and cheat in elections. Whether it be giving their states more votes in the electoral college by counting illegals in the census, or by illegals voting directly in elections, hence the Dems’ opposition to voter ID.

    If we do not solve the immigration problem, the Dems will win every election, we will become a permanent one-party State, and they will not only destroy this country, but the world. Biden and his handlers literally just funded a proxy war with Russia and tried starting WW3, with our tax dollars. And I didn’t even mention the man-made pathogen that shut down the world and killed millions of people…

    So while I get it that we need to reduce the deficit, we also have to address the unprecedented invasion of our nation, and the treasonous actors that are embedded within our government.

    From this perspective, I say give Trump whatever he needs to finish/secure the wall, and to fund ICE with as many agents as needed to undo the damage the Dems did with their open border policies.

    Secure the perimeter, deport the hostile foreign invaders, and prevent the Dems from stealing elections, so we don’t end up with Kamala as president and nuclear war with Russia… After all that is accomplished, THEN we can talk about cutting costs and reducing the deficit.

    Priorities.”

    1. i agree. we have to strike while the iron is hot. we SHOULD have the votes to pass the BBB which completely funds the border wall–removing it from future bills and the argument over it stops. congress is full of grandstanding asswipes!

  23. Alrighty then! Jake is stepping up for me bigly! He and his contractor (older guy with long white hair – hippie type – my kind of people!) were checking everything out for the back-up generator – may go w/a propane tank for that since the natural gas line isn’t big enough to handle the load. I suppose I’d have to pay for the tank rental but otherwise no expense until I actually used it. He told me don’t hesitate to call him if I need something which is really nice to hear. Also looking for a grant.

  25. Just The News: “The Department of Justice Inspector General confirmed that 55 Afghan refugees accepted under the Biden administration were flagged on the terror watchlist before or during their resettlement in the United States. 

    The report confirmed longstanding concerns by Republicans in Congress that the Biden administration failed to properly vet the refugees fleeing Taliban rule in the midst of the disastrous U.S. withdrawal and collapse of the American-backed central government. 

    “I’ve sounded the alarm about the need to thoroughly vet Afghan evacuee applicants since August 2021. The Biden-Harris administration, my Democrat colleagues in Congress and many in the media were quick to dismiss glaring red flags that a nonpartisan national security analysis now confirms,” Senator Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said in a press release. “As if it wasn’t already obvious, the Biden-Harris administration endangered American lives by allowing suspected terrorists to enter the United States and roam free for years.”

    Senator Grassley vowed his oversight of the Biden administration’s vetting and resettlement of Afghan refugees would continue. 

    The report found that as of May 2023, nearly two years after the Afghanistan withdrawal, the Terrorism Screening Center identified 55 Afghan refugees who were “either already on the terrorist watchlist but still made it to a U.S. port of entry as part of the evacuation or were added to the watchlist during the evacuation and resettlement in the United States.” 

    While many were eventually removed from the watchlist after they were deemed to be no threat, as of July 2024, nine of the individuals remained on the watchlist and were still being tracked by federal law enforcement.

    An earlier assessment in February 2022 by the Pentagon’s inspector general came to a similar conclusion. It found that the Biden administration failed to use all available screening data to vet Afghan refugees brought to the United States in the wake of the withdrawal, allowing at least 50 individuals posing “potentially significant security concerns” to make it inside America’s border, Just the News reported. 

    Senators, including Grassley, Rob Portman, R-Ohio, and James Inhofe, R-Okla., raised concerns that the Biden administration had not fixed the deficiencies in the vetting process following the Pentagon inspector general’s report, noting the failure marked a “serious breach of homeland security.” 

    At least one Afghan refugee plotted an Election Day terrorist attack before his plans were thwarted by the FBI, which arrested him just one month before the 2024 presidential election. Just the News reported that Tawhedi was granted special parole permission to enter the country during Operation Allies Refuge following the withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to a senior U.S. official speaking on condition of anonymity. The unsealed criminal complaint confirms that Tawhedi was granted a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV).”

  26. Just The News: “President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that his administration would restore the names of forts that previously honored Confederate generals, after they were renamed during the Biden administration.

    The name changes came as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) under Trump’s term in 2021. Though he vetoed the bill on the grounds of the name changes, the Congress overrode him.

    “But for a little breaking news, we are also going to be restoring the names to Fort Pickett, Fort Hood, Fort Gordon, Fort Rucker, Fort Polk, Fort A.P. Hill and Fort Robert E. Lee,” Trump said at an event in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

    “We won a lot of battles out of those forts. It’s no time to change. And I’m superstitious, you know, I like to keep it going, right? I’m very superstitious. We want to keep it going. So that’s a big story,” he added.

    Under the prior name changes, Ft. Lee became Ft. Gregg Adams, Ft. Pickett became Ft. Barfoot, Ft. Gordon became Ft. Eisenhower, Ft. Rucker became Ft. Novosel, Fr. Polk became Ft. Johnson, and Fort A.P. Hill became Ft. Walker.

    Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth previously renamed Ft. Liberty to Ft. Bragg, though he opted against restoring the name to honor Confederate General Braxton Bragg and instead picked a U.S. veteran of the same last name. Hegseth made the same move with Ft. Benning.

    White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Just the News that the administration planned on “restoring the names” in an apparent confirmation that the forts would receive their original Confederate names.”

  27. Ah, yes! The memories….I used to be on 2 leagues – the Monday night league, which was the serious league; and the Wednesday night league, which was the leisurely “old ladies'” league. Really used to love it! I bowled until I was 8 mos. preggers w/my son but I fell and decided it was time to hang it up until he was born. I was also playing keep-away with a beach ball in my parents’ pool while my a-Mom yelled at me: “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!” – wasn’t ladylike, ya’ know! Hey! Exercise is good for preggers ladies!

  30. JUST THE NEWS: “ABC News on Tuesday announced that it has decided not to renew its contract with suspended anchor Terry Moran after he made a controversial anti-Trump social media post that has since been deleted.

    The network suspended Moran on Sunday while an investigation was conducted and claimed the post did not meet its journalistic standards. The post was met with heavy backlash by the White House and Vice President JD Vance.

    Moran had called President Donald Trump and his adviser Stephen Miller “world-class haters” in the post. ABC News said the network was already at the end of its contract with Moran and had opted not to renew it in light of the social media post. 

    “At ABC News, we hold all of our reporters to the highest standards of objectivity, fairness and professionalism, and we remain committed to delivering straightforward, trusted journalism,” the network added, according to Deadline.

    Moran worked as the senior national correspondent for ABC News, and had been part of the network since 1997.”
