The Kryptos Cipher

Filly brought an interesting article about this Cipher outside the CIA building in Langley, Virginia.  I found this article, on the Popular Mechanics website describing the creation, the author and the puzzle.

From Popular Mechanics:

The creator of a well-known CIA cryptographic puzzle has just released a new clue to finally solve it. While the sculpture containing all of the scrambled letters is public, no one has cracked the complete code in the three decades it’s been standing. Part of the reason why this thing hasn’t been solved yet is because the guy who created the Kryptos sculpture, as it’s called, is an artist—not a cryptographer by trade.

Imagine walking past a 12-foot-tall scroll covered in seemingly nonsensical letters every day for 30 years and wondering just what the hell it actually means. That’s probably how it feels to be the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employees who regularly pass by the infamous Kryptos sculpture in the courtyard of the bureau’s headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

Kryptos, devised by artist Jim Sanborn, has been around for nearly three decades, and yet no one has figured out what the full message says, let alone cracked the underlying riddle. Even the National Security Agency (NSA) could only decrypt part of the code.

Now, just months before a dedication ceremony in November to celebrate the copper scroll’s 30 years of stumping experts, Sanborn has released a third and final clue to help hobbyists—who easily number in the thousands, based on activity in code-cracking forums—figure out what the remaining, unsolved 97-character passage says.

But Sanborn says unscrambling that phrase won’t exactly lead you to a quick victory. It’s really just the end of step one. “It’s a 97-character phrase,” he told NPR. “And that phrase is in itself a riddle. It’s mysterious. It’s going to lead to something else. It’s not going to be finished when it’s decoded.

A Brief History of Kryptos

In 1990, sculptors first erected Kryptos. At about 12 feet tall and 20 feet long, the now-greenish copper structure offers up some 240 square feet of frustration to all of the CIA employees and codebreakers—like video game developer and cryptologist Elonka Dunin—who set eyes on it.

Dunin is a master cryptographer and runs a helpful and in-depth website all about Kryptos. (She’s cracked so many codes that Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code, even named a character in that book after her.) According to her site, Kryptos contains a series of punched-out letters in a metal structure, is made up of thousands of characters, and shows four total messages.

There are actually several various parts to Kryptos, all scattered around the CIA headquarters. There’s the ultra-famous copper scroll, which contains nearly 1,800 encrypted characters. It’s next to a petrified tree and a circular pool. Then there are several sheets of copper, embossed with Morse Code, and sandwiched between granite slabs. A nearby landscaped area includes more granite slabs and a duck pond. Finally, there’s an engraved compass with a needle pointing at a lodestone, a naturally magnetized form of magnetite rock.

Sanborn received a bit of help from Edward Scheidt, a retired chairman of the CIA’s cryptographic center, to come up with the codes for each passage. The Kryptos message contains a partial guide to the code’s solution inside the panels of the sculpture.

Thanks to two prior clues from Sanborn in 2010 and 2014, the first three passages have been solved by the likes of NSA employees and James Gillogly, a computer scientist, but the final 97-character portion still eludes experts.

“It is considered to be one of the most famous unsolved codes of the world,” Dunin said in a documentary interview. “Here we are going on 30 years, and it still hasn’t been cracked.”

The Transcript

The first portion of the Kryptos puzzle is a poetic phrase, written by Sanborn, himself:

BETWEEN SUBTLE SHADING AND THE ABSENCE OF LIGHT LIES THE NUANCE OF IQLUSION.

Sanborn says that the misspelling of “illusion” as “iqlusion” was intentional, to make it tougher for cryptographers to decode.

In the second phrase, the exact latitude and longitude of the CIA headquarters is pointed out, and something buried is hinted at:

DOES LANGLEY KNOW ABOUT THIS? THEY SHOULD: IT’S BURIED OUT THERE SOMEWHERE. X WHO KNOWS THE EXACT LOCATION? ONLY WW.

Apparently “W.W.” is a reference to William Webster, who headed the CIA when the sculpture was first unveiled in 1990. Sanborn allegedly gave him a key to decipher the code.

In the third section, there are lines from archaeologist Howard Carter’s diary, describing a door opening into King Tut’s tomb. Note that there are more misspellings:

SLOWLY, DESPARATLY SLOWLY, THE REMAINS OF PASSAGE DEBRIS THAT ENCUMBERED THE LOWER PART OF THE DOORWAY WAS REMOVED. WITH TREMBLING HANDS I MADE A TINY BREACH IN THE UPPER LEFT-HAND CORNER. AND THEN, WIDENING THE HOLE A LITTLE, I INSERTED THE CANDLE AND PEERED IN. THE HOT AIR ESCAPING FROM THE CHAMBER CAUSED THE FLAME TO FLICKER, BUT PRESENTLY DETAILS OF THE ROOM WITHIN EMERGED FROM THE MIST. X CAN YOU SEE ANYTHING? Q

Karl Wang, a student at the University of California San Diego who created a page with the solutions, says the third passage is much more difficult to crack than the prior two.

“The first two parts are straight-forward enough that nearly anybody with a simple education in cryptography can solve them,” he said on his page. “The third part is much more advanced, and the fourth part is borderline impossible.”

Karl Wang

Gillogly was the first to publicly announce a solution for the first three parts, which he completed with a computer attack in 1999, according to Dunin’s website. Afterward, the CIA said its own analyst, David Stein, had also solved those first three parts, but had done so a year prior with paper and pencil.

Two years after Stein’s solution was announced, the NSA claimed it had a team that solved parts one through three all the way back in 1992, but kept mum. Still, no one has cracked part four.

To solve the first two passages, codebreakers used vigenere, which is what cryptologists call a polyalphabetic substitution cipher system. It means multiple alphabets are used to encrypt one message. Created in the 16th century by cryptographer Giovan Battista Bellaso, the scheme was easy to create, but excruciatingly hard to crack. It wasn’t until nearly 300 years later that a vigenere cipher was first solved, leading the French to call it “le chiffre indéchiffrable,” or “the indecipherable cipher.” Today, people mostly use computers to crack these codes.

How to Solve the Code

To solve part four, Dunin and other cryptologists have tried every method at their disposal, from polyalphabetic substitution to transposition. No such luck. Now, with three clues in hand, “BERLIN,” CLOCK,” and “NORTHEAST,” it’s your turn.

When you think you have the answer right, head to Sanborn’s website, where you can find the best way to contact him to see if your solution is correct. Right now, it’s an email process that costs $50 per entry.

If all else fails, don’t get too hard on yourself. “Kryptos” is Greek for “hidden,” and it looks like the answers to this puzzle might well be tucked away for another 30 years—or at least until Sanborn dies and eventually auctions off the solution to the code. He told The New York Times that any of the money raised through an auction will go to climate science.

Pat’s Note: This seems like a waste of time.  Deliberately misspelling a word to make it harder is unthinkable and charging $50 to submit a guess/answer seems like a cheap money-making scheme.

cloudy and rainy again today…gees it’s getting old. thank goodness it’s not a heavy downpour, but still keeping hubby from the first grass mowing. it’s getting really high!

when i opened tcth this morning, I saw Tulsi Gabbard said Comey should be arrested and behind bars for threatening the President. But he posted another message shorty thereafter that he “didn’t know” that that’s what the shells meant. what a frickin liar!

he’s got a new book coming out he wants to peddle. but he should get the same treatment as ANYONE ELSE who posts a message threatening the President.

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father,

There is no shadow of turning with thee.

    Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;

As thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.

  3. LA City Council votes for $30 minimum wage. no wonder illegals flock there.

    FTA

n a 12-3 vote on Wednesday, the Los Angeles City Council approved a minimum wage hike for airport and hotel workers, with the goal of it reaching $30 an hour by 2028 in time for the Olympics.

According to the Olympic Wage ordinance, the minimum wage for airport and hotel workers is set to go up to $22.50 an hour in July, with it going up by $2.50 every July until July 2028, when it will peak at $30 an hour. In addition, employers will also be required to pay $8.35 for each hour payment to cover health care costs by January 2026. A housekeeping training requirement will go into effect as well, giving at least 6 hours worth of training a year, telling them what to do in an emergence, how to respond to human trafficking, violence, and other serious situations.

Hotel and airport workers in Los Angeles have been trying to get a significant wage increase for years. Previously, many hotel workers fought to get a raise to over $11 an hour in 2023. However, a rapidly increasing cost of living in Los Angeles, compounded by recent rent jumps and  Los Angeles hosting several major events in the coming years including the 2026 World Cup, the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, the 2027 Super Bowl and the 2028 Olympics, reinvigored unions, primarily Unite Here, and employees to demand another increase. Many were inspired to do so by AB 1228, which increased the fast food minimum wage to $20 an hour last year.

  5. Just The News: “South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to meet President Donald Trump at the White House next week, amid a feud over the United States accepting white South Africans as refugees, the South African government said Wednesday.

Trump has accused the South African government of committing genocide after it allegedly passed racist, anti-white policies. He was referring to South Africa’s Expropriation Act, which allows the government to seize unused land without compensation in certain cases.

President Ramaphosa denies that that has happened. President Trump has denied that race played a part in his decision to accept the South Africans as refugees.

Ramaphosa is expected to visit with Trump on Wednesday, May 21, but will be in Washington, D.C., from May 19-22.

“President Ramaphosa will meet with President Donald Trump at the White House, in Washington DC to discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of interest,” his office said. “The President’s visit to the US provides a platform to reset the strategic relationship between the two countries.”

The visit was already planned before Trump’s accusation of genocide, but the U.S. president said on Monday that he was not sure the meeting would take place if South Africa hadn’t made any changes regarding the allegations of racial discrimination.”

Illegal alien teen who killed a young woman while joyriding in stolen vehicle gets community service and must promise to attend school
    By Olivia Murray

We used to describe the phenomenon where no-good miscreants would escape punitive (and real) justice with minor consequences as being a “slap on the wrist,” but considering how exaggerated the devolution of justice system has been under progressive influence, that term doesn’t really seem adequate anymore, because a “slap” implies at least a little pain, (just not enough to deter future criminal behavior).

How do you explain a situation where an illegal alien, breaking countless laws, kills someone because of his recklessness, and isn’t only let off the hook entirely, but essentially rewarded? That’s like a parent taking their child out for ice cream after the kid talked back or got an F on a test.

Here’s the story, from a report at the New York Post: In July of 2024 an unnamed 15-year-old illegal alien delinquent, who can’t be identified because of “privacy” laws, stole his mother’s uninsured vehicle (classic illegal alien behavior), raced it at 90 mph through an intersection with a 45-mph speed limit, and slammed into another car, killing the driver, Kaitlyn Weaver, instantly. (Does this mean he was 14 at the age of the crime? Probably.)

The prosecutor, Arapahoe County District Attorney Amy Padden, offered a plea deal which saw the teenaged criminal admit guilt in exchange for no jail time, no fines, and no criminal record—all he had to do was a few hours of community service, promise he’d get back in school, and “not break any more laws” while on probation. After going through the courts with a public defender afforded to you by taxpaying citizens, here’s your “punishment”: You must attend a first-world school that you and your family also don’t pay for, and learn how to read and write and better yourself, continuing to put down roots in America despite having absolutely no right to be here. What will his “consequences” be the next time he kills someone? A condition that he must attend college on the taxpayer dime?

Like I said, light consequences are “slaps” on the wrist while no consequences is anarchic lawlessness.

Now, Padden is a Democrat superstar, with endorsements from high-profile politicians as well as collectives like a pro-abortion and an anti-gun group. Some radical hypocrisy, identified by the victim’s father, John Weaver:

‘If he [Colombian teenager] had taken a firearm and recklessly just shot it and killed someone, this would be a different case. They would be pushing it completely differently,’ he added. ‘There’s no deterrence.’

He’s right, there is no deterrence, and this young thug is now claiming asylum, meaning we’ll be footing another bill for him, this time in the immigration courts.

It’s only a matter of time before this young Colombian national, illegally living in the U.S., kills another American citizen.

  9. Marcus Raskin, Jamie Raskin’s father, was the founder of IPS, a far-left group.

    Like father, like son.

Marcus Raskin was a progressive activist, who co-founded the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), a far- left think tank advocating for social justice, peace, and economic equality. His work criticized capitalism, militarism, and the “national security state.” He believed that the government could be overthrown by taking over the administrative state. He developed a theory of “social reconstruction” as an alternative to traditional revolution. His approach rejected violent Marxist revolutionary models, advocating instead for a peaceful, decentralized process to transform society away from democracy and capitalism.

Whether or not the FBI has records of him being a suspected communist – the optics are bad enough. We now know that Raskin’s left-of-left politics, whether labeled as socialist or communist, came directly from his father.

Former Rep. Curt Weldon just dropped a bombshell.

He says two of the 9/11 hijackers were on the CIA PAYROLL at the time of the attacks.

“I’ll repeat that again. Two of the terrorists on 9/11 were on the CIA payroll at the time.”

This information came from a top FBI international leader, who confirmed it to Weldon in writing.

“Two of the terrorists on 9/11 were on the CIA payroll at the time, and after 9/11 there were between 40 and 50 employees that were reprimanded,” Weldon revealed.

There was no accountability, no transparency, and no mention of any of this to the American people.

Weldon called it “outrageous,” saying we’re being treated like “a bunch of fifth graders.”

How much longer are we going to let them lie to our faces?

  15. “Are all the Leaders on Cocaine & That’s Why They are Pushing for WWIII?”

Posted May 15, 2025 by Martin Armstrong

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “This video [of either tissue or cocaine on table] is all over the place. I even went to my local doctor for the routine checkup, and she was from Serbia. She immediately brought this up. What I will say is this. One of my sources in Ukraine, whom I believe Zelensky had murdered to silence him, was Gonzalo Lira. He told me years ago that Zelensky was a cocaine user.

I have also heard similar stories about Macron, but I never sought to actually go to find proof. I tended to avoid such stories, for no matter what proof you dug up, they would still call it a conspiracy theory or Russian propaganda, like Hunter Biden’s laptop. I suppose it must have been Putin who stashed the cocaine in the White House, which they never bothered to investigate.

    Zelensky Pants on Backwards

Here is Zelensky with his pants on backwards. You have to have been high on cocaine to do that. Never in my entire life have I ever put my pants on backwards. There is no way you don’t notice that unless you are way out there. How Stamer doesn’t tell him calls into question Stamer as well.

Zelenskyy said Tuesday that “if Putin does not arrive and plays games, it is the final point that he does not want to end the war.” Europe wants war very badly, and these three leaders are probably using cocaine, which would explain their disregard for human life. I find it remarkable that this “peace” meeting in Turkey will be on the 15th, precisely the turning point on the ECM based on the war.

Looking at our computer models and the unbelievable number of markets that have Panic Cycles in 2026, I do not see how peace will be the outcome. Putin is not stupid. Any ceasefire is just Minsk all over again. Europe is pushing very hard to prepare for war.

    Leyen Ursula von der

In 2005, Ursula von der Leyen was appointed Federal Minister of Family Affairs and Youth in the cabinet of Angela Merkel. Then she became Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, 2009–2013, then Minister of Defence, 2013–2019. She then became the President of the European Commission in 2019.

This is crony politics. Ursula has ZERO qualifications and moves from job to job, where people tell their children they need a college degree, unless you are a politician. Then you are qualified to be anything, for experience is not necessary. If you need surgery, just ask the Uber driver if he has a nice smile and is free on the weekend.

    Ursula to Steal Russian Assets

Now, Ursula is robbing Russia and violating every fundamental principle of international law. This is why Japan, China, and other foreign nations are dumping European debt. There is no rule of law in Europe whatsoever. Five officials briefed on the ongoing discussions told the Financial Times that the European Commission has said seized capital that a large portion of the sanctions, including €200bn in frozen Russian state assets, could be moved on to a different legal basis to circumvent Budapest’s veto just like they send troops in but call them advisors or peace-keepers rather than military invasion or support.

The EU has no intention of peace with Europe. They have used Ukraine as their vanguard, and they really do not care if one Ukrainian is still standing at the end of this as long as they take one Russian with them. The EU is engaging in a war of conquest.

They pretend Russia wants to invade Europe, but they have nothing. There are NO natural resources and no profit to be had. However, Europe sees Russia as its ticket to ride. Conquer Russia and they get $75 trillion in assets, which is twice the size of the USA, and they will become the leaders of the world. It must be the cocaine that is feeding this delusion.

    Cokehead

We still see the prospect of a major war by 2027. With cokeheads running the governments of Europe, this insane quest to push for war is not going to end well for Europe. We still see 2027 as a critical period where we can see World War III. The only way to stop Europe is that all institutions MUST stop buying their debt. Only then will they perhaps wake up. But they are already planning on confiscating private citizen’ assets they call “unused” so they can fund their invasion of Russia.”

  16. (RealClearInvestigations)—Like the weather, everyone complains about Pentagon spending and mismanagement, but no one does anything about it. Leaders of the world’s most expensive military have refused to conduct or failed to complete every internal financial audit since Congress first demanded such accountability in the 1990s. The Department of Defense owns over 70% of the nation’s assets and can’t account for half of them. In fairness, military brass has had plenty of enablers in its failures to tame wild and sometimes blindfolded spending, with a special boost from political leaders who consistently block reform.

Although the Pentagon budget has grown by 50% over the last 10 years, President Trump wants to add another 12% to the Pentagon’s budget for fiscal year 2026, a move that for the first time will boost defense spending to over $1 trillion.

That number will almost certainly end up higher because, by law, no matter how generous the president’s request is, the Pentagon is required to ask Congress for even more money. The chief of staff of each military branch must put together an unfunded priority list – nicknamed a “wish list” – requesting money for items not included in the president’s budget.

This has been routine since the 1990s, and the procedure became federal law in 2017. The lists don’t need to include lengthy justifications of why the money is needed, as is the case for most budget requests to Congress.

These “Dear Santa” letters totaled at least $30.8 billion in fiscal year 2025, $17 billion in 2024, and $21.5 billion in 2023. Some of the items the Defense Department “wished” for in those three years include:

    • $6.8 million for an Air Force dog kennel
    • $10.2 million for a “high altitude balloon”
    • $22.5 million for “mobile kitchen trailers”
    • $106.6 million for a power plant in Djibouti
    • $8.5 million for the Space Command to renovate its temporary base while it waits for its actual base to be built
    • $20 million for a Great Lakes icebreaker that can sail through frozen water – 10 years from now
    • $398 million for classified Space Force programs

The practice persists even though the Defense Department isn’t always happy about it. The Biden administration’s Pentagon Comptroller, Mike McCord, publicly supported ending the requirement. He wrote in a 2023 letter to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) that unfunded priority lists are “not an effective way to illuminate our top priorities.”…..

EXCERPT: “Lionsgate has been tapped as the studio partner for “The Resurrection of the Christ,” the long-anticipated follow-up to “The Passion of the Christ,” director Mel Gibson and Lionsgate announced Wednesday.

The film, a follow-up to Gibson’s 2004 biblical epic, will be produced under Gibson and Bruce Davey’s Icon Productions banner. It marks a continuation of Gibson’s longstanding relationship with Lionsgate, which also distributed his Oscar-nominated “Hacksaw Ridge” and the thriller “Flight Risk” starring Mark Wahlberg.

“For many, many people across the globe, ‘The Resurrection of the Christ’ is the most anticipated theatrical event in a generation. It is also an awe-inspiring and spectacularly epic theatrical film that is going to leave moviegoers worldwide breathless,” said Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group in a press release. “Mel is one of the greatest directors of our time, and this project is both deeply personal to him and the perfect showcase for his talents as a filmmaker.”

Gibson praised Lionsgate’s approach to filmmaking and expressed confidence in their ability to bring the project to theaters.

“Lionsgate’s brave, innovative spirit and nimble, can-do attitude have inspired me for a long time, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect distributor for ‘The Resurrection of the Christ,’” Gibson added in a statement. “I’ve enjoyed working with Adam and the team several times over recent years. I know the clever ingenuity, passion, and ambition the entire team commits to their projects and I’m confident they will bring everything they can to the release of this movie.”

Gibson has reportedly set an August start-of-shoot date for the follow-up to his 2004 biblical epic. Filming will take place at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios — the same lot where the original 2004 film was shot, while production will take place in the Italian town of Matera, along with several other old-world locations, including Ginosa, Gravina Laterza and Altamura.

Jim Caviezel is set to return as Jesus, along with Maia Morgenstern (Mary) and Francesco De Vito (Peter).

In a January interview on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Gibson described the forthcoming film as “an acid trip,” adding that he’s “never read anything like” the script. Gibson also said he would use de-aging techniques that are “so good now” for Caviezel, who is now 56….”

  19. “The Heartbreaking Reason Why Gary Sinise Left Hollywood”

PJ Media, Sarah Anderson  | 5:23 PM on May 15, 2025

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Gary Sinise was a rarity in Hollywood. Not only is he an outspoken conservative and patriotic American, but he is also someone who puts his money where his mouth is. For years, he has supported our military and first responders and donated countless hours and dollars to veterans’ causes. His humanitarian resume is much longer than his acting and directing one, and that’s saying a lot considering he’s been acting since the 1970s and has quite a number of TV, theater, and film credits under his belt.

But if you take a look at Sinise’s acting resume, you’ll also notice it drops off around 2019 or 2020. That’s around the time his son, Mac, was diagnosed with chordoma, a rare type of cancer that affects the bones in the skull and the spine. Chordoma tumors affect about one in one million people, and they’re difficult to treat because of their proximity to certain nervous system tissue.

Even when they’re treated successfully, they often come back, according to the Cleveland Clinic. In this case, Mac has a tumor on his lower spine. “It looked like a monster grabbing my son’s spine,” Sinise told People magazine in a recent exclusive interview.

When Mac was diagnosed, Sinise’s wife, Moira, was already undergoing treatment for stage three breast cancer (she is now cancer-free after multiple radiation and chemo treatments). That’s when the Sinise decided to put his acting career on hold. Taking care of his son was far more important. Between January and August of 2020, Mac spent six months in the hospital, and their family, which includes Gary and Moira’s daughters, Ella and Sophie, rallied to support him.

Sinise told People that he became his son’s “air traffic controller.” He said, “I started putting everything I had into trying to find a miracle for Mac,” adding:

I didn’t want Mac to be thinking of the next treatment or to worry. So I thought about cancer all the time. You’re trying to take the pain away. A few times I felt like I couldn’t do enough, or I didn’t know what to do. Then you say a little prayer, get back up and go back into the fight.

Mac, who had been a musician — a drummer since the age of nine — fought an extremely tough battle over the next four or five years. Despite trying everything, more tumors developed, and treatment didn’t work. He ended up paralyzed from the chest down and lost some use of his arms, but he didn’t let that prevent him from continuing to explore his passion for music. His mother encouraged him to learn how to play the harmonica, which he did, and in 2023, on his 33rd birthday, Mac recorded an album, “Resurrection and Revival.”

Sadly, in December of that year, Mac ended up in the hospital, and he died in January 2024.

Sinise said three things helped him keep going. First, he’d met numerous kids who had lost their parents through his work with the Gary Sinise Foundation, which supports veterans and first responders. The second was his faith (he converted to Catholicism in 2010). “I’ve wrapped my arms around lots of kids who have lost a mom or a dad. I’ve been around people that have persevered through difficult things. It’s given me strength. There’s no question God prepared me well for dealing with our loss.”

    The third was his family.

Even though he’s no longer caring for his son, Sinise has not returned to acting. He and his family moved to Nashville, Tenn., in 2023, where they live a simpler, quieter life. These days, you’ll find Sinise, who is 70, playing the role of grandpa or “Papa” to his five grandchildren, who range in age from one to eight years old. You might even see him in the school drop-off line, hanging out at the local trampoline park, or shopping for the kids’ favorite ice cream to have on hand when they visit. Sinise’s daughter, Sophie, told People that he “spoils them rotten.”

After Mac’s death, Sinise said he found more music on his son’s laptop and was able to make a second album. He released both, and the proceeds went to the Gary Sinise Foundation, but he’s not done yet. He has big plans to continue bringing his son’s music to the world.

As for acting again, he says the right role could come along, but don’t necessarily count on it. For now, he just wants to be around his family and continue his work supporting the military and first responders.”

  20. EXCERPT: “Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, just announced a $5 million “grant” funded by taxpayers to the Al-Aqsa Islamic Society of Philadelphia to expand its K-12 Muslim school. It is just the latest example of taxpayers being forced to fund “education” by Islamic and even Communist Chinese-linked organizations under various guises.

The massive grant to Islamic “education” in Philadelphia is aimed at helping the Muslim group expand its school from 300 students to 3,000, according to officials. The money will be used to build a dozen new classrooms, a gym, and much more. It is the largest state grant ever given to a Muslim organization, Gov. Shapiro’s office said.

That $5 million grant, which came from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), is in addition to various other taxpayer-funded subsidies already enjoyed by the school. These include scholarships and financial aid facilitated by programs such as the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. Students are not required to pay tuition at the Islamic school.

Chairman Asif Hussain with the Al-Aqsa Islamic Society explained that the group’s Islamic school currently has a large waiting list. Apparently, with mass tax-funded immigration from Africa and the Middle East, there has been a rapid growth of the “community” in recent years. And so, with this taxpayer money, the “Al-Aqsa Islamic Academy” will become an “academic center of excellence” for those Muslim students going forward.

“The idea would be to have a primary, secondary, and high school all in one building, and for students who are enrolled in primary education to stay for graduation, and this become a very important part of their development and their future endeavors,” Chairman Hussain was quoted as saying in local media reports, adding that they expect thousands of students in the years to come.

The Islamic school was established almost 30 years ago. It teaches Islamic studies, Arabic language, and Quran classes, along with other standard academic subjects. The school’s mission, according to its website, is to “provide students with a safe, nurturing, and uplifting Islamic environment that will help them achieve academic excellence.”…..

  21. American Wire News: “President Trump’s successful trip to the Middle East was marked by memorable moments, but one in particular had MAGA rolling. From lavish ceremonies to lucrative business deals, Trump’s four-day excursion overseas even had former Biden and Obama officials admitting they were in ‘awe.’

One shining moment near the end of the trip went viral for the hilarious way the U.S. president accepted a gift from Emirati hosts. After opening a small plaque featuring “the highest quality oil on the planet,” Trump teasingly questioned why they only gave him “a drop.”

“I’m not thrilled,” he jokingly said as the room, clearly not infected by TDS, had a good laugh. The exchange went viral on X where Trump supporters celebrated the president’s inherently funny and down-to-earth nature:

  24. This is just wrong, wrong, wrong on the part of the church!!!!

EXCERPT: “A new Washington state law mandating that clergy report child abuse, even when disclosed during the sacrament of confession, has ignited a fierce dispute with the Catholic Church, who vow to oppose it and excommunicate any priests who comply.

Signed into law by Governor Bob Ferguson (D) on May 2, 2025, Senate Bill 5375 requires priests to notify law enforcement of any suspected or known child abuse or neglect, regardless of the context in which it is revealed. According to the U.S. Justice Department’s investigation into the new law:

Washington State’s new law adds “members of the clergy” to a list of other professionals who are required to report information received in a confessional setting relating to child abuse or neglect to law enforcement or other state authorities, with no exception for the absolute seal of confidentiality that applies to Catholic Priests.”

Furthermore, the State of Washington’s new law singles out “members of the clergy” as the only “supervisors” who may not rely on applicable legal privileges, including religious confessions, as a defense to mandatory reporting.

The Archdiocese of Seattle has vehemently opposed the measure, insisting they will deal swiftly with any priest who breaks the seal of confession. Catholic priests maintain that while they are willing to act as mandatory reporters for abuse disclosed outside the confessional, the sacrament itself is sacred and inviolable. For instance, if a person confesses to ongoing sexual abuse of their children during confession, these clergymen argue they are bound by church doctrine to keep that information confidential…..”

  26. This is pure BS!!!! Grrrrr……

Just The News: “The Supreme Court on Friday afternoon blocked President Donald Trump from invoking the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal migrants in Texas, throwing a curveball in the administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

The Supreme Court sent the case back to a lower appeals court to decide underlying questions in the case, including how much notice those targeted for removal should receive, and whether the move itself was legal, per CNN.

Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented.”

  28. “President Trump Proposes a New, Improved Iran Nuke Deal”

Red State, By Ward Clark  | 1:58 PM on May 16, 2025

    Iranian Presidency Office via AP

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Sometimes, diplomacy is the art of saying “Nice doggie, nice doggie” until you can find a rock. President Trump seems to have a knack for this, as does Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and some of the things they have achieved so far are nothing short of remarkable. One reason for that is that the president and his administration have sent a clear message to all that would inflict harm on America or the American people that they aren’t playing around, unlike some fundamentally non-serious previous administrations.

On Friday, the president picked up a rock in his left hand and handed Iran a proposal for a new nuclear deal with his right.

President Donald Trump said Friday that the U.S. has given Iran a proposal for a nuclear deal.

“Yeah they have a proposal, but more importantly, they know they have to move quickly or something bad, something bad is going to happen,” Trump said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned this week that the United States is facing a critical moment with Iran to curb its efforts to develop a nuclear weapon and limit its uranium enrichment.

U.S. and Iranian officials have held four rounds of talks, primarily in Oman, since Trump took office to address Tehran’s nuclear program.

There are as yet no details as to what’s on offer, but we can assume there are both carrot and stick elements, and it’s a safe bet that there won’t be any late-night deliveries into Tehran of pallets loaded with American currency.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, which is charged with monitoring these things, informs us that Iran is startlingly close to developing a weapon.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, often referred to as the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog, noted in a March report that Iran’s stockpile of 60% enriched uranium had alarmingly grown from 182 kg to 275 kg, approximately 401 pounds to 606 pounds, in early 2025.

“Once you’re at 60, you’re 90% of the way there. You are, in essence, a threshold nuclear weapons state, which is what Iran basically has become,” Rubio said Thursday on “Hannity”.

“They are at the threshold of a nuclear weapon. If they decided to do so, they could do so very quickly. If they stockpile enough of that 60 percent enriched, they could very quickly turn it into 90 and weaponize it. That’s the danger we face right now. That’s the urgency here,” he said.

Here’s the thing, and I’m going to tell you: “Weaponizing” a nuclear device is generally used to mean putting it in an air-droppable bomb or making it fit on a missile. Iran doesn’t have to do that, and Secretary Rubio, the president and the Pentagon certainly know this.

All they have to do is assemble a device that goes “boom” when torched off, load it into an old tramp freighter with a skeleton suicide crew – these kinds of useful idiots are common enough in that part of the world – sail it into a darkened harbor some night and set it off. The target might be Haifa or Tel Aviv, or it might be New York.

Whatever deal is struck, there is one thing we can rely on utterly, as long as Iran’s current theocracy is in place: Whatever they agree to, they will lie about it. If they offer to stop enriching uranium, they will just try to move their enrichment facilities out of sight. If they agree to stop trying to produce a bomb, they will keep trying, but their efforts will be moved to some cave in the Alborz Mountains. Whatever they agree to, they will harbor no notions of actually keeping the agreement.

That’s what they have done since 1979. That’s what they always will do, as long as the mullahs are running Iran.”
