True purple bettas are a rare and coveted treasure in the fishkeeping world. Finding a betta with a genuine, deep purple coloration is almost unheard of, making them incredibly valuable.
Often, bettas marketed as “purple” will have shades of blue, red, or lavender. While these shaded purples are still quite rare and beautiful, they won’t command the same astronomical prices as a true, solid purple betta. Even these shaded varieties are considered prized and can be quite expensive to acquire.
Why Are Purple Bettas So Rare?
The allure of a pure purple betta lies not only in its stunning beauty but also in its rarity. This captivating color isn’t a natural occurrence in the betta world. It’s the result of a fascinating interplay of genetics and selective breeding.

The Genetic Puzzle
True purple bettas owe their unique coloration to a rare genetic mutation. This mutation doesn’t occur frequently, making it incredibly difficult to breed for. While breeders can increase their chances of producing purple bettas by focusing on lines with blue, pink, and red coloration, the final outcome remains a matter of chance.
A Matter of Luck
There’s no guaranteed formula for breeding a pure purple betta. It’s essentially a lottery, with the odds stacked against breeders. Even with careful selection and meticulous breeding practices, the appearance of a true purple betta is often a delightful surprise.
The Allure of Shaded Purples

While true purple bettas are a rare gem, their close relatives, the blue-purple bettas, are slightly more common but still quite elusive. These fish also carry the rare genetic mutation, resulting in a stunning blend of blue and purple hues. However, even these shaded purples remain prized possessions for betta enthusiasts, reflecting the challenges of breeding for this unique color.
The rarity of true purple and blue-purple bettas underscores the intricate world of betta genetics. These stunning colors are a testament to the artistry of nature and the dedication of breeders who strive to preserve and enhance these rare and captivating traits.
How To Take Care of Purple Betta Fish
In the vibrant world of betta fish, where colors burst forth in dazzling displays of reds, blues, oranges, and greens, a truly unique and captivating hue stands out: purple. But unlike the more common colors, true purple bettas are not a natural occurrence. They are the result of a captivating interplay between genetics and the careful hand of breeders.
Unveiling the Genetic Mystery
The secret behind the purple betta’s mesmerizing color lies in a rare genetic mutation. This mutation doesn’t occur frequently, making it a true treasure in the betta world. While breeders can increase their chances of producing purple bettas by focusing on lines with blue, pink, and red coloration, the final outcome remains a matter of chance. It’s like a genetic lottery, with the odds stacked against them.
The Quest for Purple Perfection

Imagine the dedication of breeders who meticulously select and pair bettas with the best possible genetics, hoping to coax out that elusive purple hue. They spend countless hours observing their fish, meticulously recording their lineage, and carefully analyzing their offspring. Their goal is to unlock the secrets of the purple gene, hoping to create a line of bettas that consistently produce this sought-after color.
The Allure of Shaded Purples
While true purple bettas are a rare gem, their close relatives, the blue-purple bettas, are slightly more common but still quite elusive. These fish also carry the rare genetic mutation, resulting in a stunning blend of blue and purple hues. They may not be a solid purple, but they possess a captivating charm that makes them highly sought-after by betta enthusiasts.
The Price of Rarity
The rarity of true purple and blue-purple bettas translates into a significant price tag. These fish are considered prized possessions, reflecting the dedication of breeders and the challenges of breeding for this unique color. Their value is a testament to the artistry of nature and the dedication of those who strive to preserve and enhance these rare and captivating traits.
How Much Does a Purple Betta Fish Cost?
The rarity of purple bettas, both true purple and blue-purple, naturally translates into a higher price tag compared to your average betta. The price you’ll pay will depend on the specific shade and the breeder’s expertise.
While still considered rare, blue-purple bettas are generally more readily available than their true purple counterparts. You can typically find these stunning fish for around twenty dollars from reputable breeders and online retailers. This price point makes them a bit more expensive than your average betta, but still a reasonable investment for those seeking a unique and beautiful fish.
Conclusion
As you’ve journeyed through the world of purple bettas, you’ve discovered the captivating story behind these rare and beautiful fish. From their unique genetics to the challenges of breeding them, you’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the allure of this captivating color.

I was out this morning retrieving the glass covers from our flood lights. On one corner of the house they seem to pop off in really windy conditions. Hubby has tried to put them back on, but he can’t. SO we replace them and inevitably they blow off again. it’s the only corner that does it…???

The state of Michigan has decided the best way to get their growing geese population under control is to gas them to death
“The state’s new pilot program that will allow Canada geese to be rounded up into cages and gassed to death”
“The plan, beginning in June, was approved by the state’s Department of Natural Resources in response to an overpopulation of geese. Golf courses, parks, and lake associations say they’re a public health risk — these decisions are being left to a handful of lakefront homeowners who want geese exterminated for convenience.”

I can definitely understand why – they leave a HORRIBLE mess!!! But there are better ways to do it rather than gassing them. Scare them off, destroy their nests….get a dog!

my suggestion was, if they are truly gonna gas them, instead of that, have them processed like chicken and send them to Haiti as “aid”. they like them.

SALLY Q 💔 UPDATE
We are now entering a different stage of our journey caring for Sally Q.
Yesterday, Sally’s vitals became erratic – her blood pressure went low, her blood glucose and pulse high.
She was cold and clammy, yet complained she was hot.
Last night, hospice sent a nurse to assess her and consult with us.
Since Sally is disoriented more frequently, and having increased difficulty swallowing pills, the nurse asked the doctor to order an Rx of liquid pain morphine.
We will have a meeting today with the Hospice nurse case manager, the Village Home Care nurse and Sally and her Dad’s Care Coordinator/Social Worker and maybe someone from the nursing home – to decide how we can best care for Sally now.
Thanks to all for your prayers 🙏 and encouragement – 💔 GA/FL

Just The News: “Canadians on Monday night elected to keep the liberal Mark Carney as their prime minister, defeating conservative challenger Pierre Poilievre, according to Canadian media.
Voters actually elect candidates to represent them in Parliament, but Carney will continue in his post because the liberal party won the most seats. Party leaders are chosen by party members in earlier votes, according to the New York Times.
The conservative party was initially favored to win the election, but the liberal party gained support in pre-election polls after it took a nationalist angle on U.S.-Canadian tariffs as a way to stand up to President Donald Trump.
While Poilievre has criticized the tariffs, the criticisms have not been as effective, and Poilievre has faced criticism for not taking a firmer stance against Trump.
The results mean Carney will continue to serve as the country’s prime minister. Carney replaced former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who formally resigned last month.”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump on Monday evening signed three executive orders that target illegal migration and strengthen protections for U.S. citizens.
The slew of new actions includes boosting federal support for U.S. law enforcement offices in order to protect Americans, creating a formal list of sanctuary cities that the administration claims are in violation of federal law, and enforcing a rule that requires truck drivers to speak English.
The “Protecting American communities from criminal aliens” directs Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to compile the list of sanctuary cities.
“The prior administration allowed unchecked millions of aliens to illegally enter the United States,” the president wrote in the order. “The resulting public safety and national security risks are exacerbated by the presence of, and control of territory by, international cartels and other transnational criminal organizations along the southern border, as well as terrorists and other malign actors who intend to harm the United States and the American people.
“This invasion at the southern border requires the Federal Government to take measures to fulfill its obligation to the States,” he continued. “Yet some state and local officials nevertheless continue to use their authority to violate, obstruct, and defy the enforcement of federal immigration laws. It is imperative that the federal government restore the enforcement of United States law.”
Chicago, Boston, New York City and Denver are all considered “sanctuary cities.”
Trump also said commercial truck drivers should all be proficient in English, regardless of the country they are originally from, because they need to be able to read traffic signs and communicate with employers and customers.
“Every day, truckers perform the demanding and dangerous work of transporting the nation’s goods to businesses, customers, and communities safely, reliably, and efficiently,” the order said. “They should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety, border patrol, agricultural checkpoints, and cargo weight-limit station officers.”
The order directs Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to issue new guidance on how to test drivers on their English and how to enforce the new policy.”

The incident, which has been attributed to human error, occurred when the crew of the F/A-18E Super Hornet lost control of the plane, while it was being towed out of the hangar bay of the Truman, per ABC News.
“The F/A-18E was actively under tow in the hangar bay when the move crew lost control of the aircraft. The aircraft and tow tractor were lost overboard,” the Navy wrote in a statement. “Sailors towing the aircraft took immediate action to move clear of the aircraft before it fell overboard. An investigation is underway.”
The aircraft carrier has been stationed in the Red Sea since September to help protect commercial ships against Houthi attacks in Yemen. Recent attacks did not impact the plane rolling off the ship. The carrier was expected to return home last month, but its mission has since been extended.”

Just The News: “The House of Representatives on Monday overwhelmingly passed the bipartisan “Take It Down Act,” which seeks to federally criminalize the publishing of computer-generated porn images and videos out of revenge and without consent.
The Senate passed the measure, which was cosponsored last month by Texas GOP Senate Commerce Chair Ted Cruz and Minnesota Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and President Donald Trump has promised to sign the legislation.
The House passed the bill by a 409-2 vote. GOP Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Eric Burlison of Missouri voted against it, and nearly two dozen lawmakers did not vote, according to The Hill. It was cosponsored by Florida Republican Rep. Elvira Salazar and Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Madeleine Dean.
First Lady Melania Trump applauded the passage of the bipartisan bill in a statement on Monday night. “Advancing this legislation has been a key focus since I returned to my role as First Lady this past January,” the first lady said. “I am honored to have contributed to guiding it through Congress.”
The comment comes after Melania Trump went to Capitol Hill to help pass the legislation last month, alongside Elliston Berry, a 15-year-old high school student who was a victim of deepfake pornography.
“Today’s bipartisan passage of the ‘Take It Down Act’ is a powerful statement that we stand united in protecting the dignity, privacy, and safety of our children,” the first lady said. “Through this critical legislation and our continued focus with ‘Be Best,’ we are building a future where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.”
The bill now heads to Trump’s desk for his signature.”

Outstanding! This has been needed for a LONG time!!! Do YOU want someone with schizophrenia serving at your side if your life depends on them? I sure wouldn’t!!!
JUST THE NEWS: “The Defense Department on Monday announced that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered senior Pentagon leadership to carefully review the medical standards for military service, stating that certain conditions could endanger other service members.
The order comes after some members of the military community have expressed concerns about the physical and mental fitness of U.S. troops, should the U.S. be drawn into a war or major conflict, including concerns about current medical waivers. Waivers are currently allowed for issues like schizophrenia, congestive heart failure and chronic oxygen use, the department said.
Hegseth said the U.S. has seen a surge in Americans wanting to enlist in the military, but some people are unable to complete initial training or their first term of service because of serious preexisting conditions.
“Applicants for military service … must be physically and mentally able to perform their duties under the harshest of conditions without risk to themselves or others,” Hegseth said. “Service members need to be medically ready to fight. High standards equal lethality. We’ve seen a huge surge of Americans who want to join … a military with high, clear standards.”
The order gives Pentagon officials 30 days to review their medical standards for enlistment, appointment or induction and come up with proposed updates to the standards.
“High, uncompromising, and clear standards are a hallmark of the U.S. military and are essential to helping us remain the most lethal and effective fighting force in the world,” Jules Hurst, interim Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, said in a statement. To uphold these standards, and ensure that our warfighters are capable and ready, no matter the domain, adversary, or conditions, [Hegseth] has directed my office to conduct a review of existing medical standards for enlistment or appointment into military service.
“These lists will be used to make any necessary updates to DoD guidance that the Services use to assess the medical readiness of individuals seeking to join the military,” he added.”

Aaaand here we go again….SMDH!
Just The News: “Michigan Democratic Rep. Shri Thanedar on Monday filed seven articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, which accuse the president of posing a “clear and present danger” to democracy.
The action marks the first time a Democrat has attempted to impeach the president this year, but others, including Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green, have teased filing such articles in the past.
Thanedar, who is facing two primary challengers next year, accused Trump in the articles of obstruction of justice, abuse of power, usurpation of power, bribery and corruption.
“Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unfit to serve as President and represents a clear and present danger to our nation’s constitution and our democracy,” Thanedar said in a statement. “His unlawful actions have subverted the justice system, violated the separation of powers, and placed personal power and self-interest above public service. We cannot wait for more damage to be done. Congress must act.”
The Democrat also claimed that Trump has ignored the Constitution, Congress, and the U.S. court system, including the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court accusation comes after a Supreme Court ruling ordered the administration to help facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported to El Salvador on accusations he was a member of MS-13.
“When Trump ignores the Constitution, Congress, and the courts, he is not ‘fighting for America,'” he posted on X. “He is tearing it down and endangering our democracy.”
Although the articles have now been introduced, they are not expected to pass with a Republican-led House and Senate.”

“Tucker Carlson’s Biggest Interview to Date – Catherine Austin Fitts on Free Energy, Missing Money, & DUMBs: A must listen”
Jordan Sather, Apr 29, 2025
EXCERPT: “This may be Tucker Carlson’s biggest interview to date. Not in the sense of popularity, it probably won’t get as many views as his other shows (even though it should), but in terms of revolutionary potential of the subject matter this is probably the most important. Thankfully Tucker got fired from Fox, otherwise he never would have done this.
Tucker released an interview with Catherine Austin Fitts yesterday. She is a former investment banker and was the Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Housing during the Bush administration. I came across her work in 2016 during my research into the UFO subject for she was giving lectures on missing government money funding black projects, such as deep underground military bases, disruptive energy technology, and secret space programs.
My eyes lit up when I saw that Tucker brought her on his podcast since these are subjects I’ve been researching for about 13 years and speaking about online for the last 8, having it be one of the primary focuses of my work – and it’s been a long time coming that these esoteric subjects are being thrust into the mainstream spotlight in a deeper, more serious manner than they have been.
“Tucker is FINALLY going there”, I thought to myself. And after listening, they definitely did. THIS is the rudimentary issue of the UFO Disclosure subject – not the grainy, boring black and white videos and gatekeeper talking heads paraded around mainstream media and popular podcasts, but the nuts and bolts questions of “what have the Powers That Be actually built?”, “what secret technologies are they hiding?”, and “why is this money missing and where is it going?”. Catherine Austin Fitts doesn’t have all the answers, but she has the thought processes needed in determining the right questions to ask and how we may find the relevant answers.
I clipped out some of the most important points she bring up during her talk with Tucker, with commentary of mine added underneath each clip…..”
“…..All in all, amazing interview, and I think one of Tucker’s best to date. Thank you to Catherine Austin Fitts for highlighting these important issues to a mainstream audience in a logical, reasonable manner.
The drip, drip of Disclosure is turning into a flood, and this is what we’re here for!”

Europe Power Outage Caused by ‘Rare Atmospheric Phenomenon,’ Company Says
Our Take: Officials are blaming Europe’s power outage on a “rare atmospheric phenomenon.”
IF that’s true (and it’s not actually related to their renewable energy or a cyber attack…) THEN I would venture to guess the cause of that “atmospheric phenomenon” would be related to our Earth’s weakening magnetic field and subsequent shifting magnetic poles.
Pretty important to get our shit prepped, because our Earth’s magnetic field is undergoing some cyclic changes.. and there’s nothing we can do about it.

EXCERPT: “In his final act as pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, Francis, in keeping with his deep commitment to the climate and well-cultivated image of personal humility, could have foregone a papal funeral.
To the thousands of world leaders and dignitaries flying to Rome as required by international protocol, Pope Francis could have extended an invitation to stay home. He could have ordered he not lie in state, preventing the Vatican pilgrimage of hundreds of thousands of faithful to pay their respects. He could have even skipped the motorcade through the streets of Rome. All this, as a memorable gesture to maintain a smaller carbon footprint — one last gift to the planet by not contributing to the climate crisis.
He did not.
In the final moments Francis’ mortal body was on this earth, the Holy Father demonstrated ever more clearly that indeed, there is no climate crisis. There are no personal actions he or the world’s elite would ever, ever, take for the climate. It is all theater.
On climate change, Francis died as he lived: another political hypocrite.
Harsh words coming from me, a Catholic, about the Pope, let alone the recently deceased Pope, but Francis’ climate alarmism, nay his downright climate ignorance, are far, far worse. If Francis’ climate beliefs were ever to become policy prescriptions, most of the world would die, starting with the poor, elderly, and infirm. We can only thank God the Pope no longer has an army….”

“Knives are Out for Ed Martin: As the Trump appointee pursues investigations into the most corrupt practices in the Department of Justice’s recent history, Democrats and other interests are collaborating to sink his confirmation.”
Julie Kelly, Apr 29, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “With his interim appointment set to expire soon, Ed Martin, the acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, is not backing down amid attempts by top Senate Democrats to prevent his confirmation as the office’s permanent top prosecutor.
Martin continues to clean house at one of the most notoriously corrupt and politicized U.S. Attorney’s offices in the country. Since taking the reins of the office shortly after Inauguration Day, Martin has demoted and reassigned line prosecutors who handled January 6 cases and forced a top prosecutor to resign after she refused to follow orders related to investigating a $20 billion Biden-era climate grift.
He recently sent a letter to a former member of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team seeking a sit-down to discuss the DOJ’s dirty prosecution of a Trump 2016 campaign aide. Aaron Zelinsky, who resigned from the DOJ on January 10 and later whined on social media that he was “furious, heartbroken, and disappointed at what the President and his appointees are doing to DOJ,” handled the cases against George Papadopoulos and Roger Stone; Martin wants to address misrepresentations made by Zelinsky in the prosecution of Papadopoulos, one of the fall guys in the Russian collusion hoax.
His no-holds-barred approach is one reason why Martin’s nomination faces heavy headwinds in the U.S. Senate, which must confirm each U.S. attorney. California Senator Adam Schiff appears particularly afraid of Martin; Schiff placed a hold on Martin’s nomination by claiming “no one embodies Donald Trump’s personal weaponization of the Justice Department more than Ed Martin.” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who recently was investigated by Martin over the New York senator’s 2020 threats against two Supreme Court justices, just announced his intention to use the “blue slip” privilege to block two U.S. attorney nominees from New York and is expected to help lead the charge against Martin as well.
Further, Martin is the near-daily subject of intense media scrutiny despite the fact his predecessor, Matthew Graves, received no corporate media criticism over his influential wife’s ties to the Biden White House or for using his office to ruthlessly pursue nearly 1,600 J6ers who had protested the election of Joe Biden, the man who nominated him to the powerful post in 2021.
DOJ lifers also are making noise. More than 100 former employees of the office just signed on to a letter opposing Martin’s confirmation. “He is unworthy of the position, incapable of the task, and an affront to the singular pursuit of justice for which this Office has stood for more than two centuries,” the group, which included some prosecutors who left the office more than 50 years ago, wrote.
But Martin’s critics appear more worried about his success in exposing and holding accountable those responsible for weaponizing the office over the past few years, particularly the unprecedented prosecution of Trump supporters involved in the events of January 6.
Unlawfully Punishing Political Dissidents with White Collar Crime Felony
In one of his first acts in office, Martin announced an inquiry into the Biden DOJ’s use of a post-Enron corporate fraud statute, 18 U.S.C. 1512(c)(2), obstruction of an official proceeding, against hundreds of January 6 defendants. Signed into law in 2002 as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley act in the aftermath of the Enron accounting scandal, the DOJ for the first time charged the felony in cases involving political protesters who temporarily disrupted a government function.
While the Trump DOJ brought the first obstruction charges against J6ers, Graves accelerated its use. His office systematically opposed defendants’ motion to drop the count; following convictions, either plea deals or at trial, Graves then sought an “administration of justice” enhancement to add time to prison sentences for those found guilty of the charge. (The D.C. appellate court later reversed how Graves and several D.C. judges had applied the enhancement.) He also sought a separate “terror” enhancement, which added months in federal prison for a crime already punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
But in June 2024, the Supreme Court overturned how the DOJ had applied the law, determining the statute required proof of evidence tampering or destruction. (At least 17 D.C. federal judges, including James Boasberg, the current chief judge of the district court, had consented to the DOJ’s unlawful use of the statute over the course of three years.) But relief from SCOTUS came too late for at least 100 J6ers who had served, or were in the process of serving, time in federal prison on a 1512(c)(2) conviction.
SCOTUS’ decision exposed an unprecedented abuse of the law by federal prosecutors and judges. Even more brazen is the fact that after SCOTUS reversed the DOJ, Graves fought to keep J6ers in prison for the same amount of time even though the conviction, a felony driving the bulk of the sentence, had been vacated.
“The use was a great failure of our office…and we need to get to the bottom of it,” Martin, a longtime advocate for J6ers, wrote in an email on January 27. He assigned two prosecutors to collect all records and information related to 1512(c)(2) cases. “The 1512 Project is important work.”
Earlier this month, Martin announced the project “is growing” and now involves input from lawyers and judges among others. “We continue to look at exactly how and why so many Jan 6th cases were charged using 1512 which led to the dramatic failure before the Supreme Court.” Leaks to the news media about specific cases, Martin disclosed, also are the subject of the investigation. “It was bad all around.”
Consequences for J6 Lives Destroyed
That comment represents an uncharacteristic understatement by Martin. The cruel, vindictive, and destructive prosecution of J6ers using a corporate fraud statute is one of the greatest travesties of justice in the department’s history. At least one J6er, Matthew Perna, took his life after learning the DOJ would seek years in prison for his 1512(c)(2) plea. Dozens of families were destroyed and bankrupted. The human wreckage left in the wake of the DOJ’s illegal use of 1512(c)(2) will never be fully accounted for.
Full public disclosure as to who was responsible — whether it was Graves, Attorney General Merrick Garland, or Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, who sat on the Enron Task Force that masterminded the obstruction statute —— is necessary. So, too, are consequences. Martin is the man who could accomplish just that. Which is what the powers-that-be are truly afraid of.”

Well, I guess Pam Bondi is doing more than looking good on FNC.
Appearing on FNC gives the low information voters some truth that they are not going to get anywhere else on cable, with the exception if OANN and maybe Newsmax.

Sec. of State Marco Rubio’s new interview just went viral.
And he’s NOT talking about tariffs or China.
He exposed a secret $50M shadow agency inside the State Department that tried to silence Americans…
Here’s what you should know (& how they tried to erase free speech): 🧵 Image
It all started innocently enough 10-15 years ago.
The State Department created a program to counter terrorist messaging from al-Qaida and ISIS.
Who could argue with that?
But here’s where it gets disturbing…
After the 2016 election, the program’s focus shifted to targeting “foreign interference” in elections.
By 2020, it had morphed into something far more sinister:
A government-funded operation targeting individual American voices.
The man running this operation?
Richard Stengel – who publicly claimed:
“Donald Trump talks just like a Russian spy, he talks just like a terrorist, and so do the people around him.”
This wasn’t just talk. They had a sophisticated system to silence opposition. Image
Here’s how the censorship machine worked:
The State Department funded supposedly “impartial” NGOs with taxpayer money.
These third-party groups then tagged American commentators and media outlets as “foreign agents.”
But that was just the beginning…
The consequences were real and devastating.
These weren’t just labels – they led to Americans getting deplatformed and silenced online.
High-profile targets included Ben Shapiro and The Federalist.
But countless everyday citizens were also caught in the dragnet.
Just when you think it couldn’t get more shocking:
Before Trump took office, they didn’t shut down the unit.
They simply renamed it and moved it elsewhere in the bureaucracy.
A classic government shell game to avoid accountability. Image
The most disturbing part?
American taxpayers were unknowingly funding this censorship apparatus.
Your tax dollars were being used to silence fellow Americans for exercising their First Amendment rights.
Sec. Rubio’s team has been quietly dismantling this system over recent months.
They’re documenting what happened for two critical reasons:
So those harmed can prove they were targeted to ensure it never happens again.
But that’s not the end of the story.
We’re now facing an even bigger threat from abroad.
The European Union has become increasingly aggressive in censoring speech, including targeting Americans speaking about American issues.
A concrete example:
When Elon Musk hosted Donald Trump on X during the election season, EU officials threatened him with penalties.
This was two non-EU citizens, discussing American politics, being threatened by foreign censors.
The stakes couldn’t be higher.
Here’s what’s even more concerning:
The foreign censorship laws in places like the EU were partly shaped by the same ecosystem partners that were funded by the State Department.
It created a global censorship machine that’s still operating. Image
The EU Digital Services Act now threatens Americans with fines for speech that would be protected under our First Amendment.
They’ve already threatened a billion-dollar fine against X for “non-compliance with disinformation” standards.
In a stark shift from previous policy, Rubio has raised this issue directly with foreign leaders, including at a recent Oval Office meeting with the UK Prime Minister.
The message:
Attacks on free expression undermine one of the core values that unite Western democracies.
The State Department is now refocusing on pro-American messaging and protecting free speech globally.
A complete reversal from the previous censorship approach that targeted Americans.
What’s the lesson here?
As Rubio put it:
“Sometimes, some idea that starts out as innocuous or maybe even good intention can metastasize, becomes a weapon that can be turned into something else by someone else.”
Thanks for reading.

Exactly one month ago, the EU asked its citizens to prepare a “72-hour survival kit.”
Four weeks later, the largest blackout in history occurred, affecting Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, and Germany.
Curious coincidence, isn’t it?
Do they still think we’re idiots?

“Spanning over 1200 sq meters, the mosaic is made up of geometric shapes and non-repeating figures. It was probably created as a public space at the time. One of the most fascinating aspects of this mosaic is the curved-rug like surface which resulted from earthquakes in 526 and 528 AD. Despite the earthquakes, the mosaic never broke and survived to the present date, intact and unbroken. It took 9 years to unearth.”

American Indian Lore: “The Healer Between Heartbeats”
“They say the hummingbird came from the breath between worlds — too fast to be caught, too gentle to be feared. She appears where pain settles quietly, where the air holds memory. Her wings do not fight the wind — they weave through it, stitching together what was torn by time.
The elders believe she carries the voices of those who left too soon. Not to speak for them, but to remind us: love never leaves, it just changes shape.
Her feathers shimmer with stories. Her flight is a prayer. She doesn’t stay long. Healing never does. But where she lands, something begins again. They call her Teyána — The One Who Touches Without Bruising.”

Push comes to shove, he doesn’t have “control” over his courtroom or his chambers.
A federal agent with a warrant can walk into either to perform his legal duties.
The fact that this judge doesn’t seem to realize that is enlightening.
