Melania

Today is our lovely First Lady’s birthday.  I found the following on the White House website.

From WHITEHOUSE.GOV:

Melania Trump is the wife of the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, and the mother to their son, Barron Trump.

She was born in Slovenia on April 26, 1970, and is the second First Lady born outside the United States. At a young age, she began what would soon become a highly successful modeling career, appearing in many high-profile ad campaigns and working with some of the best photographers in the fashion industry.

In 1996, Mrs. Trump moved to New York, and 10 years later, she proudly became a United States Citizen, making her the only First Lady to become a naturalized citizen. Mrs. Trump has always been an active member of her community. In 2005, she was the Honorary Chairwoman of the Martha Graham Dance Company. That same year, she was awarded Goodwill Ambassador by the American Red Cross—a role she served for 4 years. Mrs. Trump served 5 years as Honorary Chairwoman for the Boys’ Club of New York and was named Woman of the Year in 2006 by the Police Athletic League. In 2010, Mrs. Trump was the Chairwoman of the American Heart Association. In addition to her philanthropic work and modeling and fashion career, Mrs. Trump is an accomplished businesswoman. In 2010, she launched her own successful jewelry collection, Melania Trump Timepieces and Jewelry.

While Melania Trump became a household name, she is, first and foremost, a mother and wife, and in 2017, she made the White House and Washington home for her family.

In her role as First Lady from 2017 to 2021, Mrs. Trump focused on the many issues affecting children across the Nation. This passion led to the establishment of BE BEST in 2018; Mrs. Trump’s awareness campaign focused on the well-being of children and highlighted the people and programs dedicated to ensuring a better future for the next generation. Mrs. Trump promoted BE BEST throughout the country and internationally.

In addition to BE BEST, Mrs. Trump has a deep appreciation for the military and their families. She traveled to military bases domestically and overseas, including Iraq in 2018, and regularly incorporated military families in public engagements.

In her time away from the White House, Mrs. Trump established Fostering the Future, a BE BEST initiative, which provides college-level scholarships to those aging out of the foster care system. The scholarship funds are provided by a portion of the revenue generated from her Web 2 and Web 3 platforms on melaniatrump.com and usamemorabilia.com. Her platforms utilize blockchain technology, marking her as a pioneer within the industry while empowering the next generation of young Americans with the resources needed to excel. Mrs. Trump consistently implements innovative approaches to advance her advocacy for children and the causes she supports, demonstrating a forward-thinking commitment to making a positive impact.

In 2024, Mrs. Trump released her memoir, MELANIA, which quickly became #1 on The New York Times best sellers list.

  1. Morning All!
it’s about 50* here, still dark and cloudy outside. we’ll see what the weather brings but we wanted to get some outside work done this weekend: pick up all the sticks that have fallen so hubby can mow eventually. spray the home defense stuff around the house perimeter for the ants and prune the apple tree. we’ll see if we get any of that done.

    1. Morning, Pat! Still cloudy here w/more rain predicted and 45 again. Within a couple of minutes of my opening the blinds, Wheezer showed up at the door. He has to be waiting nearby. I’m sure the spraying would have to wait until it’s dry but the rest could be done as long as it’s not too cold – you’d just get wet! LOL

Hmmm….the Pope’s funeral is on Melania’s BD. She is, indeed, a beautiful woman and so kind-hearted but her small eyes kind of bug me and her accent is difficult to understand sometimes.

I agree on her eyes–they can seem so cold, except when she smiles. i often wondered if she taught Donald some of her language. little bits of other languages so he can “eavesdrop” on interpreters…lol.

Following the removal of most of U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s senior advisors recently, after several of them were accused of leaking information to the media; the Pentagon yesterday named a number of individuals who will now serve as senior advisors to the Secretary of Defense.

These include Sean Parnell, who is already serving as Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and Chief Pentagon Spokesman; Justin Fulcher, a former employee of DOGE who was working at the Pentagon; Patrick Weaver, previously a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense; and finally Ricky Buria, a Marine Corps veteran who has became very close with Hegseth since the removal of Caldwell, Carroll and Selnick, previously working under Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

And the Defence Advisory Council, or whatever it was, full of former Bushies and Obammies, has been disbanded.

Some saying they were the ones that actually set up the leak stories, Susan Rice was one of them…

Funny, even with the confirmation battle, which SHOULD have been a “heads up” I really didn’t expect Hagseth to be the major attack vector: I thought Bobby Jr., or Tulsi…

    1. Oh, their time will come but the military has always been the first line of defense for our Republic and the most public-facing. I am hopeful that the biggest exposure will come from Tulsi – that is what is necessary to pull us out of all these wars and stop our interference around the world. STOP FOMENTING WARS!!!

    🚨 BREAKING ARIZONA SCANDAL 🚨

    One of @KatieHobbs
state employees at the AZ Dept. of Agriculture was arrested earlier this month for alleged HUMAN SMUGGLING of ILLEGAL ALIENS

    MY STATEMENT:
“It’s no wonder Hobbs vetoes every piece of meaningful border security legislation when on her watch her own state employee is being arrested and prosecuted for the human smuggling of illegal aliens.

From cronyism to nepotism and pay-to-play to human smuggling, Katie Hobbs’ tenure as governor is proving to be one of the darkest periods in state history.

There are no words to adequately describe the obscene mismanagement occurring within @GovernorHobbs
    ’ state government.

As for Brierly, Hobbs’ nominee to lead the Department of Agriculture, the Nominations Committee and Senate Republicans had serious doubts about him already, this profound lack of management certainly won’t strengthen his case before the full senate.”

BOOM. WIKIPEDIA JUST GOT SLAPPED WITH A FEDERAL WAKE-UP CALL.

The Department of Justice just dropped the hammer — the U.S. Attorney for D.C. is formally accusing the Wikimedia Foundation of violating its 501(c)(3) status by letting propagandists flood the platform with disinformation.

Translation? Wikipedia isn’t just biased — it’s likely BREAKING FEDERAL LAW.

Wikipedia’s tax-exempt status is based on being neutral and educational.

Instead, they’ve been running a weaponized disinformation machine, allowing bad actors to edit facts, erase truth, and rewrite history—all while pretending to be some innocent public good.

    Accountability is coming. H/t @WikiBias2024

  6. Re: Virginia Giuffres’ death – her family claims it was suicide:

Just The News: “One of Jeffrey Epstein’s most vocal and prominent accusers, Virginia Giuffre, died on Thursday by suicide at the age of 41, her family announced Friday. Giuffre’s death occurred in Australia, where she had been living with her husband and children since 2019, NBC News reported. Giuffre herself was American.

“It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,” her family said in a statement to NBC. “She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

“Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors,” the statement continued. “In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”

Further details on her death were not immediately released, but it also comes after she survived a bus crash last month.

Giuffre has been credited by other Epstein accusers with inspiring them to speak out about their own experiences with the late-financier. Epstein died in prison in 2019, while awaiting trial on charges of sexually abusing dozens of girls.

Giuffre has also sued Prince Andrew, alleging she was sexually abused by him when she was a teenager. The British prince has denied the allegations.”

    1. someone on tcth posted a nitter tweet that you could see the replies to (unlike twitter). she posted that she is NOT suicidal at all. i will have to see if i can find it again and bring–not sure of the date.
i think that they know the list WILL come out and without a witness ready to say it’s all true, they can plant doubt in people’s minds. and that’s all they need–it’s a story made up–NO witness to say it’s “me”…

          1. I’m going to go with what the family claims and, considering everything she went thru, I think suicide would always be a possibility. We don’t know that it was a “sudden” decision – she may have been contemplating it for some time w/o letting on.

  7. Just The News: “President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday in Rome, a White House official revealed.

“President Trump and President Zelenskyy met privately today and had a very productive discussion. More details about the meeting will follow,” said Steven Cheung, White House communications director.

Trump and Zelenskyy attended the funeral service for Pope Francis. The meeting took place at St. Peter’s Basilica for roughly 15 minutes. A Ukrainian official said the two agreed to meet again later in the day on Saturday, according to Reuters.

Zelenskyy posted about the meeting on X.

“Good meeting. We discussed a lot one on one. Hoping for results on everything we covered. Protecting lives of our people. Full and unconditional ceasefire,” he wrote. “Reliable and lasting peace that will prevent another war from breaking out. Very symbolic meeting that has potential to become historic, if we achieve joint results. Thank you POTUS.”

  8. Just The News: “GOP Rep. James Comer knows that President Trump’s Cabinet secretaries are locked in a fierce, epic struggle to get rid of those within the federal agencies they run who are resisting Trump and his policies – and as chairman of the powerful House Oversight Committee, he’s lending some help.

“Whether it’s Brooke Rollins at Agriculture or Pam Bondi at the Department of Justice, they’re having to fight a lot of internal battles that really haven’t made it into the mainstream media yet,” Comer recently told Full Measure

One such effort is the freshly launched committee task force, led by Florida GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, whose mission is to unmask holdouts who defied Trump’s first-term directives and blocked the release of thousands of JFK documents.

“Our task force is trying to reach out and question the bureaucrats, figure out which bureaucrat didn’t comply with the orders,” he said. “The same thing happened with the [Jeffrey] Epstein files when Pam Bondi thought she was releasing the Epstein files. It really wasn’t the Epstein files, obviously.”

Comer also revealed that even the Trump Justice Department under Bondi is stalling the release of Epstein documents to his committee. “I heard that 10,000 times over the past two years: ‘Well, we can’t turn that over,’” Comer said. “‘There’s an ongoing investigation.’ We’re hearing that with the Epstein files now in this administration,” he said.

Full Measure asked in response: “Who’s telling you that?”

The Kentucky lawmaker said: “Well, whoever replies to our letter or subpoena, that’s what they say. ‘There’s an ongoing investigation.’ They say, ‘We’re gonna release it. We’re in the process of releasing it. We’ve just gotta make sure nothing is released that compromises the ongoing investigation.’”

Beyond just prying open classified files, Comer has the sprawling Deep State in his sights, accusing it of casting a shadow over government operations and throwing up roadblocks.

“We have a Deep State list, [and] we believe these employees need to be deposed at the very least to see, you know, to answer basic questions like: ‘Why did you cover up this?’ ‘Why did you provide this statement?’ ‘Why did you sign the letter saying that laptop was Russian disinformation when you knew darn well it was not Russian disinformation?’ We’ll have public hearings, we’ll do whatever, but we need to work with the Department of Justice,” he says.

Comer also said the Justice Department has yet to give the green light to his plans to deeply investigate such topics.”

  9. EXCERPT: “Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum announced Wednesday that energy projects that usually take a year or two to obtain permits would have their permitting processes shrunk down to as little as 28 days. The new procedures apply to a wide range of projects, including coal, uranium and critical minerals.

The announcement comes less than a week after President Donald Trump issued an executive order aimed at advancing critical mineral projects with greater transparency in the permitting and review process for 10 specific mining projects. The order sets up a Federal Permitting Dashboard to enhance interagency coordination and decision-making.

“This tool will play an invaluable role in ensuring that these projects receive the most efficient review and authorization process possible in order to bring the benefits of next generation infrastructure to communities across the nation,” Manisha Patel, acting executive director at the Permitting Council, said in a statement.

Trump’s list of selected projects includes a few other exploration projects, which involve a separate permitting process from the mining permit. As the S&P study shows, it could be decades before any mines that result from the exploration activities come into production.

With all these projects, even those nearly permitted, production is likely many years away. Resolution Mine, for example, isn’t expected to be operational until 2030, assuming the permitting process and litigation issues are resolved by then.

That means that whatever actions the Trump administration takes to push these mines to the finish line will have to survive subsequent administrations.”

  10. Manufacture the parts here, asswipes!!!

Just The News: “A public-interest law firm filed a lawsuit challenging the president’s authority to unilaterally impose tariffs, at least the fifth such lawsuit since Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs. Stonemaier Games, an American board game company, said in a federal lawsuit that it could soon face a $1.5 million payment to its China-based manufacturing partner.

Trump announced and then suspended wide-ranging tariffs on dozens of countries on April 2. He suspended most of those tariffs seven days later, but kept a 10% baseline tariff and a 145% tariff on imports from China.

“We will not stand idle while our livelihood – and the livelihoods of thousands of small business owners and contractors in the U.S. – are treated like pawns in a political game,” said Jamey Stegmaier, co-founder of Stonemaier Games. “We now face a $14.50 tariff tax for every $10 we spent on manufacturing with our trusted long-term partner in China.”

The lawsuit, filed in the Court of International Trade, seeks to stop implementation of the tariffs. Pacific Legal Foundation, a national nonprofit law firm, filed the suit on behalf of Stonemaier Games and other small businesses.

“The Constitution grants Congress, not the president, the power to impose tariffs. The president cannot assume this power for himself, and Congress can’t transfer that legislative authority to him,” said Molly Nixon, an attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation. “The uncertainty many Americans are experiencing shows why the Constitution gives the power to make laws to the representative and deliberative branch of government.”

Pacific Legal Foundation isn’t alone. The New Civil Liberties Alliance, Tranel Law, and Liberty Justice Center have filed similar suits. California also filed suit. Arizona and Oregon did the same, joined by Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New York and Vermont.

Trump has promised tariffs will make the U.S. wealthy, bring back manufacturing jobs lost to lower-wage countries in decades past, and shift the tax burden away from U.S. families.

A tariff is a tax on imported goods. The importer pays the tax and can either absorb the loss or pass the cost on to consumers through higher prices.”

  12. “SCOTUS’s Refusal To End Leftists’ Judicial Coup Is Damaging Its Credibility More Than The Media Ever Could — By refusing to rein in the lower courts’ lawlessness, SCOTUS has greenlit a judicial coup that is stymying the will of 77 million Americans.”

The Federalist, Shawn Fleetwood, April 25, 2025

    John Roberts

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Not a day seems to go by without some activist lower court judge issuing an overreaching injunction blocking part of President Trump’s agenda.

Throughout Wednesday and Thursday alone, judges across multiple venues handed down decrees barring numerous executive actions taken by the president since returning to office. From DEI to election policy, these cases are but a few of the more than 170 lawsuits Democrats and left-wing political actors have filed to sabotage Trump and the 77 million Americans who voted for him.

Despite this clear effort to destroy American democracy via a judicial coup, the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) seems to have no interest in stopping it. The nation’s highest court has had ample opportunities to halt these lower court judges’ destructive antics but has repeatedly declined to do so.

The first notable instance of this cowardice came to fruition in early March. In a 5-4 decision, a majority on the court declined a request from the Trump administration to shut down a ruling from a Biden-appointed district court judge. The judge had ordered the State Department and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to disburse roughly $2 billion in foreign grants to nongovernmental groups.

Comprised of Chief Justice John Roberts, Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett, and the court’s Democrat appointees, the majority offered no rationale for the decision, a move that left Associate Justice Samuel Alito “stunned.”

Writing for the dissent, Alito underscored the overreaching nature of the lower court’s order and chastised the majority for its unwillingness to shut down such abusive behavior. He wrote, “Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer dollars? The answer to that question should be an emphatic ‘No,’ but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise.”

By declining to rein in the Biden-appointed judge’s outlandish behavior, the high court’s majority all but gave the green light to activist judges across the country to take similar actions on leftist-backed lawsuits filed in their respective jurisdictions. As previously noted, this has encouraged these judicial supremacists to issue blanket injunctions barring the Trump administration from implementing policies the American people voted for, thus effectively rendering the 2024 presidential election results moot.

SCOTUS’s inclination to tolerate judicial tyranny among the lower courts is perhaps unsurprising, however, given that a majority of the justices have indicated their own infatuation with overstepping the constitutional limits erected by America’s founding document.

In the dead of night on Easter weekend, without explanation, seven of the justices essentially usurped the executive branch’s authority over immigration by blocking Trump’s deportation of Venezuelan gang members. Associate Justices Clarence Thomas and Alito dissented, with the latter once again penning a scathing opinion blasting the majority’s “unprecedented and legally questionable” actions.

It’s unclear exactly what game the high court’s majority is playing. Even for a wannabe politician like Chief Justice Roberts — whose primary concern seems to be protecting the judiciary’s “legitimacy” rather than interpreting the Constitution as written — the decisions to allow the lower courts to run afoul of America’s constitutional order and issue late-night orders are unlikely to sit well with the public. In fact, one could argue the high court’s antics are doing more damage to its reputation than leftists’ smear campaigns ever could.

Recall over the past few years when Democrats and their media allies ran hit pieces against many of SCOTUS’s Republican-appointed justices. While much of this manufactured psyop was directed at the high court’s most reliable originalists (Thomas and Alito), the end goal was the same — to delegitimize the body and its constitutional rulings in the eyes of the American public.

Yet, for all their bluster, the media’s smear campaign didn’t seem to have significantly affected non-leftists’ opinion of the Supreme Court. Pew Research data published in August shows that the decline in the court’s favorability in recent years has been driven almost exclusively by Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents, whose views of the court turned sour following the 2022 Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

But what the media couldn’t do to SCOTUS — destroying its credibility among Americans — the high court is now doing to itself. By refusing to rein in the lower courts’ lawlessness, the justices have authorized a judicial coup that is stymying the will of the 77 million Americans who voted for Trump.

The longer a majority on the high court allows this circus to continue, the more faith citizens will lose in its ability to operate as a capable branch of government.”

  13. “Patel Levels Dems Over Judge’s Arrest With One Photo; Even CNN Admits They Have a Problem”

Red State, Nick Arama | 9:58 PM on April 25, 2025

    AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Democrats were losing their minds on Friday over the arrest of Milwaukee Count Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan. Dugan has now been charged with “obstructing or impeding proceeding before a department or agency of the United States,” and “concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest.”

Having already made the bad decision to wed themselves to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Democrats were at it again, going to bat for the judge in this case. They attacked President Donald Trump, wildly calling it a “constitutional crisis,” with even Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) saying they must fight against the government on the case with everything they have.

The rule of law doesn’t matter when Dems don’t like the result. Now they’re escalating the concerning language and whipping up people against President Donald Trump again. However, FBI Director Kash Patel has a direct response to the hot takes from the Democrats in revolt.

Just in case the Democrats thought that what they were saying on the case made any sense at all, CNN legal analyst Elie Honig put paid to that. He said if they can prove what is being alleged here in the complaint, that’s a crime.

“Let’s strip the politics out of it — this is a crime. If they can prove what happened here, it is a crime… Let’s strip the Trump of it all out, let’s strip the immigration of it all out…That is textbook obstruction.”

Exactly. Democrats should be listening to Honig on this rather than falling into their Trump delusions. Instead, all they’re thinking about is politics. Honig is one of the few on CNN who can be straight about the law, so props to him for being clear here. Now, again, the judge is innocent until proven guilty.

The Democrats’ position is always how they can use something to be anti-Trump, though; they don’t seem to care about the facts or the point that Honig is making here.

Once again, they’re digging themselves a deep hole, going all in on this matter. When even CNN has to admit the problem here, you know the Democrats have stranded themselves out on a ledge. It also tells you how little they have with which to attack Trump that’s legitimate, when they have to resort to this kind of thing to fit their “no one is a king” narrative.

How do they think the American people will view this? I assure them, not at all kindly, and it isn’t even a close call. At this point, they’ve become the party wedded to illegal aliens, and that’s going to kill them in the midterms.”

  14. EXCERPT: “….Readers may remember a story in RedState involving Giuffre in late March. That’s when Giuffre reached out to followers of her Instagram account with a dire message about her health, after what sounded like a serious car accident, as my colleague Rusty Weiss wrote:

Giuffre took to Instagram to post a picture of herself having clearly suffered some traumatizing injuries. She indicated doctors have given her a grim diagnosis as she suffers from “renal kidney failure.”

“This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can,” she wrote.

“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.”

Giuffre went on to tell followers that she was “ready to go” while expressing hope that she might see her “babies” one last time.

It’s unclear what happened to Giuffre. The Guardian wrote in its obituary Saturday that while “Western Australia police later confirmed a 41-year-old woman was in a car that collided with a bus on 24 March,” no injuries were reported. “It is understood Giuffre presented to a Perth hospital emergency department on 1 April,” the report continued.

NBC News spoke to her brother, who provided some clarity on her recent health woes–both physical and mental:

Her brother, Danny Wilson, told NBC News she “pushed so hard to snuff the evil out” of the world.

“Her biggest push was, ‘If I don’t do this, nobody’s going to do it,'” he said, regarding her advocacy. “She was in real physical pain — suffered from renal failure. But I think that the mental pain was worse.”

In the family’s statement, they underlined how central becoming a mother was to her decision to begin her legal fight against “those who had abused her and so many others,” and lauded the heroism of “[their] sweet Viginia”:

“It was when she held her newborn daughter in her arms that Virginia realized she had to fight back against those who had abused her and so many others.

“There are no words that can express the grave loss we feel today with the passing of our sweet Virginia. She was heroic and will always be remembered for her incredible courage and loving spirit.”

Giuffre is survived by her three children, Christian, Noah, and Emily, and her husband, with whom she had lived with in Australia since 2019.”

  15. EXCERPT: “I have always loved and admired Jay Leno for a number of reasons, but his illustrating what “to love, honor, and cherish in sickness and in health, till death do us part” looks like, is now top of that list. The devotion Leno exhibits for his wife of over 40 years rarely happens in everyday life, let alone Hollywood. In a recent TV interview on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger,” Leno told the journalist:

I always thought: marry the person you wish you could be. If I married another self-centered person who is funny, one of us would die. You know? My wife is… does a lot of charity work and you know, things like that. And it worked out great. I married the person who had the ideals I wish I had.

Jay Leno and his unconditional love for his Mavis is the subject of this week’s Feel-Good Friday.

I am not a live venue person, but there were certain opportunities to see someone live where I am thankful I decided to be a part of the herd. One was seeing Cab Calloway, and the other was attending “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno. Before the show was taped for that night’s airing, Leno came out to greet the audience and interact with them. Leno is genuinely funny, especially off-the-cuff. Some of the zingers and ad libs he came up with were truly gut-busting.

Leno is also one of the hardest-working people in show business. Even after he was established as the host of “The Tonight Show,” he never stopped doing stand-up, working as many as 200 venues a year on top of the “Tonight Show” residency. After “The Tonight Show” taped (late-afternoon Pacific time), he would hit comedy clubs and venues around Southern California and beyond to try out new material and to connect with his audiences.

Leno also doesn’t just play 1,000-seat venues: he does comedy everywhere from basement clubs in Podunk to state prisons. And if Leno was close to home, he was a man who always went home. Unlike some of his predecessors and peers, there was no hound-dogging, gambling, or midnight rambling. Leno and his wife Mavis were a pair, and Leno was quite happy to be a one-woman man. They have no children, so sometimes Mavis traveled with him; but when she was not with him, Leno made sure he made it home to her and her alone.

Our editor, Becca Lower, used to work in show and tour ticket sales on the Las Vegas Strip. Vegas is less than an hour plane hop from Burbank, so Leno would fly over to do stand-up gigs. Lower had the opportunity to meet Leno as he was walking around the casino floor. She, along with a few others, rushed to greet him, and Leno obliged.

He has never been a Hollywood type: no entourage or princely airs; he genuinely likes people, and appreciates his fans. One of the people in the group asked him whether he was hanging out in town after his show, but he told the group, NO. He always flies back home. Decades later, his desire to be with Mavis has taken on pronounced significance. His wife of 45 years is suffering from an advanced form of dementia, and Leno is her primary caregiver.

On Wednesday, Leno did a two-plus hour sit-down with Bensinger, where Leno tells some incredible stories about his father and mother, his upbringing, and how his dyslexia managed to transform his comedy. Leno explained that because of his dyslexia, “I really don’t write anything down. If it’s funny, I remember it.”

Leno also revealed the world leaders who told the funniest jokes, and why former president Barack Obama told him to lose his number. But the powerful and poignant moments are the minutes within those two hours where Leno talks about his marriage and relationship with Mavis, and discusses walking with her through the advanced stages of the disease.

The former late-night talk show host was granted a conservatorship over his wife last year due to her dementia diagnosis after he petitioned a Los Angeles court to be her legal care provider.

Leno, 74, admitted that their unique situation has shown him what marriage is truly about.

The comedian noted that he’s enjoying everything that goes along with being his wife’s caregiver, primarily the fact that they get to spend time together.

When asked what he’s learned about himself after assuming this new role, Leno said he’s “never been particularly challenged.”

“I was not in the Army. I didn’t have to shoot anybody,” Leno said on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger.”

“I didn’t have to risk my life when I got married,” he said. “You sort of take a vow… and, ‘Will I live up to this? Or will I be like a sleazy guy if something happens to my wife, I’m out banging the cashier at the mini-mart.’ No, I didn’t.”

He added, “I enjoy the time with my wife. I go home, I cook dinner for her, watch TV, and it’s OK. It’s OK. It’s basically what we did before, except now I have to feed her and do all those things. But, I like it. I like taking care of her.

Now it’s getting dusty in here…..”

        1. last year when i bought flowers to plant in mom’s flower bed (for Mother’s Day) i also bought pansies for myself–some deep purple and 2 deep rust colored ones. I bought them from an Amish store and the sign said there were annuals (don’t come up next year.)

I was picking up sticks around the garden and there are all the deep purple ones and one of the deep rust UP AND BLOOMING! i was planning on working on the garden next week and pulling everything out. so glad i waited!

from my window, i thought I saw a purple one in the cinder blocks around the garden, but figured it had to be something else. nope it got in there somehow and is thriving.

          1. Some annuals will do that. I have a similar situation with the lilies I planted in the large black pots in front of the garage – they are supposed to be annuals but they are both coming up, and it looks like there are a lot of seedlings, too.

    🚨NEW🚨

The F-35 Fiasco: Lockheed Martin’s Woke Agenda & The Betrayal of American Taxpayers

It’s time to shine a spotlight on a scandal that’s been quietly draining our nation’s resources while compromising our military readiness. Every single day,

    @LockHeedMartin

, a company increasingly obsessed with pushing a woke agenda, is delivering F-35 fighter jets that are simply not ready for combat. This isn’t just a minor hiccup—it’s a multi-billion-dollar betrayal of the American taxpayer & our national security. This should be getting way more attention & scrutiny than it currently is.

The F-35 program, one of the most expensive weapons programs in history, is plagued by delays, defects, & downright incompetence. The U.S. Air Force is being forced to accept jets that lack functional radar systems—yes, you read that right, NO RADAR!

    According to reports from

    @insidedefense

, and Air & Space Forces Magazine, the F-35 program has shown “no improvement” in software development & testing, with critical systems still lagging behind schedule. The Pentagon’s own assessments confirm that these jets are not combat-ready, yet they’re being rolled out as if everything is fine. How can we trust a company that delivers half-baked fighter jets to our brave men & women in uniform?

Source: Air & Space Forces Magazine https://airandspaceforces.com/new-pentagon-report-f-35-test-progress-readiness/

If you thought jets with no radar was bad, here’s the kicker: about 1 month before President

    @realDonaldTrump

took office for his 2nd term, & right before the busy Christmas & holiday season, Lockheed Martin somehow managed to secure a massive $11.8 billion contract under the Biden administration. This deal, rushed through under the Biden Admin, reeks of cronyism & deception.

Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall, a key figure in the outgoing admin, appears to have done a favor for his buddy, Lockheed Martin CEO Jim Taiclet. Instead of holding Lockheed Martin accountable for their failures, the Biden admin rewarded them with billions of dollars more of your hard-earned tax dollars. Is this what “leadership” looks like?

    BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!

It actually gets worse. You’re probably asking yourself, why are these jets failing so spectacularly? Could it be that Lockheed has been too busy prioritizing Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives& hiring anti-Trump lobbyists instead of focusing on building reliable aircraft? According to a scathing report from Breitbart, Shelly O’Neill Stoneman, Lockheed’s Senior VP of Government Affairs has been described as a “Trump-hating woke warrior.” When a company is more concerned with political posturing than engineering excellence, is it any surprise their jets are rusting at sea?

    Yes, *RUSTING*.

The War Zone reported that the F-35C’s radar-absorbent skin is deteriorating after just months at sea, rendering these multi-million-dollar jets even less effective.

    Source: The War Zone https://twz.com/44067/the-f-35cs-radar-absorbent-skin-is-looking-pretty-rough-after-months-at-sea

    Let’s talk about the cost.

The F-35 program has ballooned to a staggering **$2 TRILLION** over its lifetime. That’s not a typo—trillion with a T!

This is government and taxpayer WASTE on an unimaginable scale, & it’s coming out of our pockets! Meanwhile, Lockheed Martin’s CEO, Jim Taiclet is living large, reportedly racking up $928,000 in corporate jet expenses last year alone. If he wants to live like a king, maybe he should stop fleecing taxpayers & start delivering jets that actually work.

Are we, the American people, footing the bill for his lavish lifestyle while our military gets stuck with defective equipment?

Source: Lockheed Martin 2025 Proxy Statement https://lockheedmartin.com/content/dam/lockheed-martin/eo/documents/annual-reports/2025-proxy-statement.pdf

This is a wake-up call. Why are we continuing to pour tens of billions of $ into a program that delivers rust buckets instead of reliable fighter jets? Our adversaries aren’t waiting for Lockheed to get their act together, & neither should we.

  20. list of deportees SCOTUS has temporarily halted.

    FTA

The Trump administration on Saturday made public the identities, photos, and criminal charges of several suspected members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA), who are currently held at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Texas.

The release followed a U.S. Supreme Court ruling earlier that day, which temporarily halted the administration’s efforts to deport these individuals using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

    Among the individuals listed:

Henry Jose Romero-Gonzalez faces pending charges for three counts of assault,
crimes against a person, and unlawful possession of a weapon. Photos show him
with cash, a gun, and tattoos, including one taken in a sports car while wearing a reflective vest.

Alessandro Benedikt Parades-Worwa is charged with aggravated assault with a
weapon and pointing a firearm at a person. Photos display various tattoos.

Cristian Andres Andrade-Vargas faces charges related to larceny and dangerous
drugs. A tattoo above his left eyebrow is visible in the images released.

Norge Yunaifer Rosales-Ceballos was convicted of criminal flight to avoid prosecution
and is charged with alien smuggling and resisting an officer. One photo highlights a
neck tattoo behind his right ear.

Felix Josue Rendon-Garcia faces charges for possession of drugs and dangerous
substances. Images show a tattoo with a date below it.

Darrin Moises Daza-Segura has been convicted of burglary and larceny. Photos show
tattoos on his knuckles spelling “VIDA.”

Ronny Javier Rodriguez-Tovar has multiple convictions, including hit-and-run, battery,
possession of stolen property, DUI, and shoplifting. He also faces new charges for
battery, resisting an officer, and assault. A photo shows a device inscribed with
    “T.D.A.” and “Venezuela.”

Howard Emis Omana is facing charges for aggravated assault with a weapon.
Social media posts show him posing with a gun and making gang-related gestures.

Angel Ignacio Cardenas-Bravo is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement
officer, child neglect with great bodily harm, resisting an officer with violence, domestic
violence battery, and multiple weapons-related offenses.

He’s a master jokester the likes of which is rarely seen in politics, because he, maybe more so than anyone else who’s been in that office, believes that most politicians are just full of shit. I think he likens himself to be a Reagan-esque leader with a few tricks up his sleeve, but in the end, a President who truly does love the country. Want to really understand why he does what he does? Pay little attention to what he says he going to do, and just watch what he does do. Got it?”

“In Ocean County, NJ, the Pine Barrens blaze – sparked by a little fat jerkoff teenager – was finally around 60% contained as of Friday, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. Since Tuesday, it has torched 15,300 acres, which is about 24 square miles, roughly the size of Newark. Drought conditions, combined with high temperatures and steady winds have exacerbated the problem.

I find it fascinating that there has been almost no national coverage of this situation, but when the Malibu/LA fires were burning down movie stars’ houses, it was 24/7 everywhere. Juss’  shows to go ya – nobody gives a fuck about the Garden State.”

So what are you saying Sundance? I don’t understand. Is Trump giving control to the CIA and our voting means nothing? That’s what this sounds like to me. I’m so exhausted from these mysterious CIA people. WHY CAN’T PRESIDENT TRUMP JUST FIRE THE WHOLE LOT OF THEM!!!!! I am so sick of this entire situation! Again I ask, are these CIA people supernaturanl immortal people who cannot be fired because they are not human or are they mere mortals like the rest of us? It feels to me like they are superhuman based on your posts. For the love of God, please can these people be FIRED ONCE AN FOR ALL!!!!

Not following what Sundance is getting at not liking this picture.

Trump and Zelensky took a time out from the Popes funeral to have a one on one meeting to discuss things face to face.

      No middle men involved.

Trump said he’d be meeting world leaders in Rome.

Perhaps Trump wanted the world to see how he’s trying to bring peace to Ukraine, which is why it was set up in that location.

Where does the CIA fit into this picture?

If the CIA is an agency of the USA government, where are they getting their money to operate?

Why can’t US taxpayer dollars be ramped back from them?

Really love reading everything Sundance has to say, but there are times he should just spit out what’s on his mind, instead of leaving us trying to guess at it.
