Happy Easter, everyone! Cloudy and 41 this morning; no Wheezer yet.
Just The News: “An ailing Pope Francis, still recovering from a lung infection, met Sunday with Vice President J.D. Vance at the Vatican and made an Easter appeal for the release of hostages in the Hamas-Israel war.
“I appeal to the warring parties: call a ceasefire, release the hostages and come to the aid of a starving people that aspires to a future of peace!” Francis said in a prepared Easter message.
Hospitalized for more than a month with pneumonia, the 88-year-old Roman Catholic pontiff made several surprise appearances on Easter, including waving to adoring crowds from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica.
While he did not preside over the traditional Easter mass, he did deliver the “Urbi et Orbi” blessing to the “City [of Rome] and to the World,” a special declaration of reconciliation that only a pope may deliver.
Perhaps his highest profile moment came when he met privately with Vance, a 2019 convert to Catholicism who has tangled with the pope over U.S. enforcement of immigration laws.
“The meeting, which lasted a few minutes, provided an opportunity to exchange Easter greetings,” the Vatican said in a statement.”
Happy Easter Filly! THANK YOU for keeping an eye on the place. We got home yesterday after and had no internet. the winds were wild! it would be one for a minute, then fade out. not sure what all that was about.
My company left about 1/2 hour ago and i am still cleaning up and rearranging stuff…lol
Just The News: “Texas conservatives defeated a memorial resolution that would have honored former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards.
Texas legislator Brian Harrison delivered a floor speech speaking out against the resolution before it was pulled from the floor.
“Grateful for every one of my conservative colleagues who had the courage to stand up and defeat today’s resolution honoring Planned Parenthood’s President,” Harrison wrote Thursday evening on X. “What a damning indictment of Speaker Burrows that a successful day in the Texas House is NOT honoring Planned Parenthood.”
Texas state Rep. Nate Schatzline was also among the group of conservatives who opposed the resolution.
“Texas will never honor those who mass murder our unborn children!” he wrote on X. “We will speak for the 63.6 million babies that have been murdered by the Abortion Industrial Complex! Texas is a PRO-LIFE STATE!”
Just The News: “Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs on Friday vetoed a GOP-supported bill that would have required local and state cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal immigration enforcement efforts, preventing so-called sanctuary cities from operating in the state.
“I will continue to work with the federal government on true border security, but we should not force state and local officials to take marching orders from Washington,” Hobbs said in the veto letter.
According to the Associated Press, the bill would have prevented local and state officials from prohibiting or limiting cooperation with federal immigration officials. Local or state officials would also not be able to block the use of federal databases for immigration-related enforcement.”
“A year ago today, on Easter, President Biden celebrated this sacred event by honoring people who “transitioned.”
Easter honors the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, which is a victory over sin and death, offering the promise of eternal life. That we can all overcome sin in our lives, is something to strive for. The story of Christ gives us that hope. A hope and promise. But we all must work for our own salvation, for our own goodness. To live a life as free of sin as possible.
Which is why, honoring people for their mental health issues that are then being foisted on children, during Easter, of all religious celebrations, was so morally offensive. From the co-option of the rainbow colors, colors that children adore, to the bringing of these fetishes into children’s spaces – such as drag queen hour and a presidential easter egg hunt, is morally wrong. Unbelievably wrong.
That our White House, the people’s house, that was sullied in this way on Easter day. This was and will always be unacceptable.
Ben Garrison – made this cartoon a year ago. It has stood the test of time.”
“Here Come The Hypocrites Of The Week: From a prosecutor with a big mortgage problem to a media gadfly crushing on an accused killer, these hypocrites are especially ridiculous.”
The Federalist, By: M.D. Kittle, April 18, 2025
EXCERPT: “It’s been quite a week for hypocrites. How fitting that so many came out of the woodwork on Holy Week. Jesus was surrounded by hypocrites as He prepared to give His life for them.
Politics, of course, is populated by prevaricators on all sides, and Washington, D.C., is the mother ship of moral turpitude. But the left wing in the opening 88 days of Trump 2.0 has cranked hypocrisy up to 11, in the parlance of This Is Spinal Tap, which itself was created by a leftist hypocrite known for being a Meathead. Let’s just say the “Coexist” and “In This House We Believe…” signs aren’t aging well.
We’ve seen a lot of Do as I say, not as I do on a week devoted to remembering the Savior who taught the world to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” From a prosecutor with a big mortgage problem to an emotionally disturbed media gadfly crushing on an accused cold-blooded killer, the hypocrites were especially ridiculous this week.

(Video Credit: Polk Sheriff)
Friday in Bartow, Florida, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd held a media briefing alongside Bartow Police Chief Steve Walker following a gunfight that left two officers wounded and the suspect dead.
Of 34-year-old Wayne Volz, Judd, known for warning criminals they were putting their lives against the Second Amendment, had no qualms in calling out the deceased suspect who pistol-whipped his own mom in the lead-up to the altercation with law enforcement.
“He was out of control,” asserted Judd, who explained how the threat to the public had begun with Volz holding his parents hostage in their Fort Meade home, where he also lived, following an argument. It was when the situation escalated to Volz accompanying his father to the Bartow Lowe’s that a gunfight ensued with responding officers.
“There were a lot of shots fired. It was a gunfight. And we shot him — a lot … He asked to be shot and killed, and we obliged him,” explained the sheriff as Polk County Sheriff Deputy Edwin Alexander and Bartow Police Department Officer Mark Sills were shot during the incident. Sills had been struck in his bulletproof vest while Alexander was struck in the forearm. Both were taken to the hospital and said to be in “good condition.”
As Judd had explained, Volz, a known drug addict, had taken away his parents’ cellphones and threatened their lives Friday morning while claiming to be “Jesus and God.” “He held them hostage; he pistol-whipped mom; he put a gun between his father’s eyes and told him he needed to beg for his life.”
The hostage situation carried on until the afternoon when the father explained that he needed to go to work, and “Wayne said, ‘Well I need to go to Bartow and kill a lot of people anyway.”
Before arriving at the Lowe’s where employees hid the father, called 911, and, “by the grace of God,” Volz hadn’t opened fire, the suspect had reportedly instructed his father to make a stop where he was said to have procured pills from an as yet unidentified individual.
As law enforcement had arrived on the scene, Volz was seen walking through the area, leading to an encounter with a drone operator who threatened to use a taser on him. When the suspect fled, he encountered Alexander and shot the deputy’s car “seven, eight times” in addition to striking the deputy’s forearm. Volz then encountered Sills and other law enforcement officials who succeeded in neutralizing the threat.
According to PCSD, the suspect had a “criminal history that includes previous arrests for battery domestic violence, larceny, burglary, violation of probation, and failure to appear.”
“Russian ‘Mafia men’ and Ukrainian actresses — Paxton’s blockbuster campaign video used foreign talent” — by Adam Pack
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Several scenes from Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Senate campaign announcement video were shot in foreign countries, the Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
Paxton released a two-and-a-half-minute-long video April 9 following his decision to mount a primary challenge to incumbent Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn. The video, which touts Paxton’s conservative credentials and accuses Cornyn of betraying the “America First” movement, uses stock footage shot in Ukraine, Russia and South Africa, according to a DCNF review of the video’s sourcing.
“Senator John Cornyn turned his back on President Trump,” the video’s narrator states. “It’s time for a change. Ken Paxton is the conservative fighter they couldn’t cancel.”
Paxton’s campaign is not the first to use foreign imagery licensed from stock footage websites to depict Americans. Candidates across both parties, including Democratic Oregon Rep. Janelle Bynum and former Republican Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano, have raised eyebrows in recent years by featuring foreign stock footage in campaign materials.
The locations of the foreign footage used in Paxton’s video or those of the footages’ contributors were easily identifiable on most commonly used stock footage websites, according to a DCNF review. The DCNF verified the footage was shot in the following countries by consulting with the videos’ directors where possible or a spokesperson for the stock footage website where the content is available to be licensed.
The Paxton campaign declined to comment.
The camera trails a woman running on a sidewalk as she raises an American flag above her shoulders. The video’s narrator declares, “Fight for our future. Join the Ken Paxton team.” The woman — a Ukrainian marathoner — is not jogging in the United States, but along a street in Lviv, a city in the western part of Ukraine, the director of the footage told the DCNF.
A European pedestrian crossing sign with a blue background, though partially obscured from view, is visible under the yellow banner. The Ukrainian director told the DCNF that the road signs seen in the shot are common throughout his country.
The Ukrainian shot the video and uploaded the content to stock photography provider Shutterstock in June 2021. He bought the flag while on a trip to Florida in 2018, he told the DCNF. In Key West, he filmed the reverse image: a billowing Ukrainian flag on an American street.
Paxton’s campaign video briefly zeroes in on the silhouettes of a mother and her baby playing in front of a curtained window. The narrator boasts the Texas attorney general has “defended the right to life.” The mother and child are Ukrainian. The director of the foreign footage told the DCNF the scene’s setting is Donetsk — a region in eastern Ukraine that is partly under Russian control.
The stock footage sites iStock and Pond5 list the location of the original video of the mother and baby as Ukraine. The director uploaded the footage to iStock in 2018 and has since left the region, citing the “difficult political situation” in an email.
Also in Paxton’s video, the profiles of four men retreat from view in a dark parking garage. The video’s narrator states that the Texas attorney general is “a fearless conservative who’s taken on the establishment.” This footage was shot in Chelyabinsk — a city in central Russia near the border with Kazakhstan — in 2016, a spokesperson for iStock told the DCNF.
The Russian shot’s location and title, “Epic Mafia Men Walking Away,” is easily identifiable on most stock footage websites where the video is available to be licensed, according to a DCNF review. In another shot, the Russian actors are seen swinging baseball bats. The footage belongs to a Russian multimedia company that claims to have the largest production studio in Russia. A Republican congressman’s campaign used footage sourced from the same Russian production company in 2018.
In another scene, students walk in a school hallway while the video’s narrator boasts, “Ken Paxton … will eliminate all the woke programs John Cornyn funded.” The students are a long way from Texas. The footage was shot in a high school in Cape Town, South Africa, a spokesperson for iStock told the DCNF.
The Cornyn campaign hit Paxton for using “cheap stock footage” in a statement emailed to the DCNF.
“If Con Man Ken Paxton does not have the competence to ensure that his campaign announcement video isn’t using cheap stock footage from Russia, South Africa and UKRAINE, how can Texas conservatives be confident he can effectively represent 33 million Texans and fight to advance [President Donald] Trump’s agenda as John Cornyn has every day?” a Cornyn campaign spokesperson said in the statement, writing the word “Ukraine” in all caps.
Cornyn similarly referred to Paxton as “a known con man and fraud” on April 9 following the attorney general’s primary challenge announcement.
Paxton has repeatedly argued the Republican incumbent senator cares more about Ukraine’s border security than the southern border. He accused Cornyn of starring in a Ukrainian “propaganda video” in February and dubbed Cornyn “Senator Ukraine” in an interview with Punchbowl News.
“Don’t forget that two weeks ago John Cornyn flew to Munich to be the star of a Zelenskyy propaganda video aimed at getting tens of billions more of our tax dollars sent to Ukraine,” Paxton wrote in a post on X referring to his opponent meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy during the Munich Security Conference in February.
The bitter primary contest, already full of personal attacks, is expected to grow more intense as Cornyn and Paxton vie for the Republican nomination. Other candidates still may enter the race. If Trump decides to back a candidate, his endorsement could prove decisive.”
“St. John Signs Lucrative Nike Endorsement After Beating St. Peter To Tomb”
Scripture · Apr 19, 2025 · BabylonBee.com
JUDEA — Saint John the Apostle has reportedly signed a lucrative six figure deal with Nike following his win against Saint Peter in a footrace to the tomb of Jesus.
Saint Peter has continually maintained that it was not a race, and that they were just excited to learn if Jesus had indeed risen. However, that hasn’t put a stopper on Saint John’s growing fame as a sprinter. Nike decided to strike while the iron is hot.
“We’re proud to have signed John to an official endorsement deal,” said Nike CEO Tiberius Calceus. “We’re also excited to announce a collaboration with the apostle on the brand-new Nike Beloved J, the shoe for beloved winners. Run like John with a pair of Beloved J’s today.”
John’s deal with Nike is reportedly the largest of its kind at approximately 2 million denarii. The brand-new “sneaker” is already set to beat earlier sales records set by the Adidas JB Thongs, a sandal inspired by John the Baptist. According to Nike, the Beloved J “offers a comfortable fit designed by the apostle himself. It features an innovative rubber outsole for multi-surface traction to navigate tough terrain faster than ever.”
At publishing time, Saint John had also signed on as a “Wheaties Champion” to appear on cereal boxes.
“It’s not always what they report as it’s how they report it. Calling this assembly of usual suspects college kids is a stretch far beyond the average imagination. Howd’ja like to work the front desk at one of those motels, huh?”
“There are an estimated 1,500 mosques in Britain. In France there are currently about 2,300 mosques with a further 200 to 250 planned. In Italy – the heart and soul capital of the catholic church, there are 4 officially recognized mosques, 4, 906 places of worship and 341 Islamic associations. Rome has one of the biggest mosques in the world.
Now guess how many churches there are in Saudi Arabia. Yup, you got it. Zip. Zero. Nada. Not one. I’m guessing Easter isn’t that big a deal with our towel-headed friends.”
“In the United States in 2022, 55 percent of Republicans reported that they owned at least one gun, and 66 percent said that they lived in a household with a gun. In comparison, only 29 percent of Democrats owned at least one gun, and 35 percent lived a gun household.”
The race is on to save the remaining thatched cottages in Ireland and train the next generation to restore them to their former glory. Donegal County Council has said there are more than 300 known thatched buildings in the county, but the “rate of loss of our historic thatch is a cause of concern”.
The number of thatchers in Ireland is dwindling too. It is hoped that a new training centre, located in a community hall in Portnoo, County Donegal, will change that.
The thatching school uses different types of raw materials to thatch the roofs, including water reed, wheat reed, flax and different straws. It opened in October 2024 and runs free weekend courses, funded by the Irish government.
There are about 2,000 old thatched houses in the Republic of Ireland, according to Irish government figures from 2022.“

SCOTUS Showdown: Justice Alito Issues Scathing Rebuke of Politically Motivated Order Blocking Trump from Deporting Foreign Terrorists Under Alien Enemies Act
.
In a fiery dissent joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, Alito took direct aim at the Court’s liberal majority, blasting their eleventh-hour injunction as legally questionable and procedurally incoherent.
.
“Literally in the middle of the night, the Court issued unprecedented and legally questionable relief without giving the lower courts a chance to rule, without hearing from the opposing party, within eight hours of receiving the application, with dubious factual support for its order, and without providing any explanation for its order,” Alito wrote in his opinion.
.
“I refused to join the Court’s order because we had no good reason to think that, under the circumstances, issuing an order at midnight was necessary or appropriate. Both the Executive and the Judiciary have an obligation to follow the law. The Executive must proceed under the terms of our order in Trumpv. J.G.G., 604 U. S. (2025) (per curiam), and this Court should follow established procedures.”
.
According to Alito, the Supreme Court only had jurisdiction if the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals had jurisdiction first. And the Fifth Circuit could only act if the order appealed from was a denial of a preliminary injunction—not a temporary restraining order (TRO).
.
Alito made it clear that the far-left groups like the ACLU were manipulating the process by prematurely appealing something that wasn’t even formally denied. The High Court, according to Alito, took the bait—something he says violates precedent and basic legal procedure.
.
The emergency request did not stem from a real, appealable decision. Instead, the ACLU argued the district court had constructively denied a request by not acting fast enough.
.
“This Court had jurisdiction only if the Court of Appeals had jurisdiction of the applicants’ appeal, and the Court of Appeals had jurisdiction only if the supposed order that the applicants appealed amounted to the denial of a preliminary injunction,” Alito wrote.
.
“But here, the “order” that applicants appealed was what they viewed as the District Court’s “‘constructive’” denial of their request for a temporary restraining order (TRO).”
Alito said that the Supreme Court intervened before the Fifth Circuit had the chance to weigh in. That violates the normal hierarchy of judicial review.
.
“When this Court rushed to enter its order, the Court of Appeals was considering the issue of emergency relief, and we were informed that a decision would be forthcoming. This Court, however, refused to wait,” Alito wrote.

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “You may recall Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) doing a fake 25-hour filibuster in the Senate not too long ago.
What did it achieve? Well, frankly…nothing. But hey, he could say it was the longest floor speech and he did it. What does it matter if it resulted in nothing, he really, really felt it! If he was hoping that it would give him a big bump nationally, it doesn’t seem to have done that either.
But it seems Cory wasn’t quite done yet with “standing.” On Saturday, he posted a clip of Jane Fonda with the caption, “This is our moment in history to stand.” Talk about hyperbolic leftist manic performance from Fonda, this was it.
It’s actually from her Lifetime Achievement remarks in February. But it’s clearly directed at stoking the “resistance” to President Donald Trump. Cue the serious face and the serious music. Roll ’em!
Have any of you ever watched a documentary of great social movements, like apartheid, or our Civil Rights Movement, or Stonewall and asked yourself: would you have been brave enough to walk the bridge? Would you have been able to take the hoses and the batons and the dogs? We don’t have to wonder…anymore. Because we are in our documentary moment. This is it! And it’s not a rehearsal! This is it. And we mustn’t for a moment kid ourselves about what’s happening.
Oh, please. You lost. You’re tossing a fit. Trump is NOT Hitler and you couldn’t sell that narrative to more than 77 million Americans.
How incredibly insulting and presumptuous to compare yourself to the Civil Rights Movement for being a rich actress getting an award. If Trump were what you claimed, you wouldn’t be able to make that speech. But you’re free to be as hateful and ignorant as you are.
And Cory is also free to tweet out your nonsense and embarrass himself by suggesting this moment is even comparable to the “hoses and dogs” of that time. But you all just look ridiculous with this stuff.
What does Booker even mean by “stand” here? Democrats going to El Salvador to meet with an illegal alien alleged MS-13 gang member? I think Booker is trying to reach here for a national presence, but it’s a complete fail. Even Bill Maher mocked his fake filibuster as an exercise in narcissism.
Then can we talk about Fonda’s history of “standing”… in the company of the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam War? She has no credibility on anything when she went to the enemy, stood with them, and disparaged our soldiers.
That apparently isn’t deterring Booker from tweeting out her nonsense. Something tells me Cory doesn’t exactly understand where the heads of the American people are when he posts this stuff.
Democrats are really covering themselves in glory with those with whom they are standing — from Jane Fonda to illegal aliens accused of domestic abuse and being alleged gang members.”
🚨Now aged 11, Landen is thriving and miles away from the boy in the hospital bed who was fighting for his life with several broken bones, severe head trauma, and a life-threatening injury to his vena cava vein, the one that runs to your heart, his mother Kari Hoffman told… pic.twitter.com/IfnFuQmLzR
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Two people were killed an six more were injured during the mass shooting that took place Thursday at Florida State University. As I described here, the shooter was stopped in the act and sent to the hospital by police. It sounds like he’s going to survive. He was later identified as Phoenix Ikner, a 20-year-old student at FSU. His mother was also identified as a local sheriff’s deputy. Ikner used one of her handguns in the attack.
However, today we’ve got a lot more information about Ikner and his history and what it shows is a lot of family problems, including more than a decade of court battles between his parents, his mother fleeing the country with him and Ikner changing his name. Plus there’s also a mention of his right-wing politics which we’ll get to in a moment.
His birth name was Christian Gunnar Eriksen. His birth mother Anne-Mari Eriksen is originally from Norway and is not a deputy in Florida . The day her son was identified as the shooter, she wrote an angry post on Facebook.
‘Horrible when your alienating son’s dad is as mentally unstable as he is, along with his LCSO cop wife, that they can’t respond when you write to ask if everything is alright with my son, who studies ar [sic] FSU,’ she wrote in a now-deleted post.
‘That whole familly [sic] is nuts. He should write a book on how to parent badly, but he can’t communicate.’
Then, she added: ‘Feel sorry for everyone at FSU and their kids.’
She and the shooter’s father had long ago separated and their custody battle went on for more than a decade, from the time he was a young child until he turned 18-years-old.
By the time the suspect, Phoenix Ikner, was 6 years old, court records showed that he had to repeat kindergarten. His parents fought bitterly over every aspect of his care while accusing each other of manipulation and abuse. Judges were forced to intervene again and again as the parents traded allegations of domestic violence and stalking. The legal battle consumed nearly his entire childhood and ended only when he became an adult and most of the family court matters became moot.
The fighting culminated in 2015 when Christian Eriksen was 10-years-old. His mother said she was taking him to south Florida for a vacation but in fact she fled the country to Norway.
His biological mother, Anne-Mari Eriksen, took him in March 2015 to Norway, in violation of the custody agreement with his father, per a probable cause affidavit reviewed by PEOPLE.
During their time in Norway, Phoenix’s father told police, Anne-Mari repeatedly skirted his questions about when the child would be back in the United States.
While away in Norway, Phoenix, who at the time was named Christian Gunnar Eriksen, missed his school tests, doctor’s appointments and medications he was taking for a diagnosed growth hormone disorder and ADHD, per the affidavit.
A judge in Norway eventually ordered his return to the US and when they returned his mother was charged and given 200 days in jail plus 2 years probation. A few years later he changed his name, taking his father’s name instead of his mother’s.
Court records listed the suspect’s name as Christian Gunnar Eriksen until 2019, when he was 15 and his father petitioned the court on his behalf to change his name to Phoenix Ikner.
Christian spoke to a judge and said the change was in part motivated by the 2015 incident with his mother. At the time the judge said he seemed well-spoken and intelligent.
But he made a different impression later on with a political discussion group he joined at a community college he attended before transferring to FSU.
Reid Seybold, 22, a senior at Florida State, said the suspect joined a political discourse club that Mr. Seybold ran at Tallahassee State. The suspect’s time in the club was short-lived.
“He repeatedly espoused white supremacist, alt-right views to the point where people were uncomfortable, and we had to ask him to leave,” Mr. Seybold said, adding that the discussions often became “Phoenix against just about everyone else,” with the suspect escalating arguments and seeming to thrive on the opposition.
“He said Rosa Parks was in the wrong,” said Lucas Luzietti, 20, who was in a national government class with the suspect at Tallahassee State in the spring of 2023. “He strongly implied that Black people were ruining his neighborhood. He also said Joe Biden was an illegitimate president.”
So there you have it. He seems to have been looking to shock people with his political opinions and he succeeded. We’ll have to wait and see if he says anything about his specific motivation for this attack. Was the motive political or is he just a troubled kid with a mess of a family life?
His maternal grandmother, is out today blaming this on Eriksen/Ikner growing up with his father and his stepmother, the one who is a sheriff’s deputy.
The grandmother of alleged Florida State University gunman Phoenix Ikner reportedly accused his parents of influencing the campus shooting that left two dead and several others injured — ripping the couple as “rotten bastard people.”
Susan Eriksen blamed her grandson’s father and stepmother, Sheriff’s Deputy Jessica Ikner, for turning the “sweetest kid” into an alleged ruthless killer, who claimed the lives of two and wounded five others when he used his stepmom’s former service pistol to open fire on the Tallahassee campus Thursday afternoon.
“They taught him how to hunt, they’re bigoted people, they hated a lot of people,” the 79-year-old grandma told the DailyMail.com at her condo in the Florida capital Friday.
This appears to be a situations where there are two sides to the story but both sides are so angry that neither one is a reliable narrator.”

SHOCKER: Dr. Oz just EXPOSED the jaw-dropping fraud bleeding America’s healthcare system dry—and says a war room is now hunting down the abusers.
The examples he laid out? Absolutely mind-blowing.
Every single one is a bombshell:
“Almost a quarter million people, American citizens were fraudulently enrolled, without their knowledge, in exchange programs by brokers.”
“Tens of millions of dollars… are being spent on illegal immigrants receive Medicaid in California and pushing the bill to us.”
“We are spending about a billion dollars on Medicaid programs for dual state eligible patients… we’re paying all three states for services you’re not getting because you don’t live in three states all at once.”
And it gets even more outrageous.
Medicaid dollars are being funneled into non-medical perks:
“Public labor unions are getting childcare through some of this money—Housekeeping! I wish I could get that for my home.”
“There’s a big problem with student loan repayments taking place with Medicaid dollars. That’s not where it should be used.”
“And we are paying for DEI programs.”
Dr. Oz says enough is enough.
“We have created a war room at CMS to go after, to catch the fraud in real time before the money leaves the federal coffers.”
“The Numbers Behind The Government’s Anti-Misinformation Explosion: The Free Press finds that the Biden administration awarded more than 600 grants”
Greg Collard, Apr 19, 2025
EXCERPT: “You likely already know from reading Racket that the Biden administration was very active in targeting misinformation and disinformation, even as it engaged in those practices.
Racket’s Twitter Files and other reporting have extensively documented many of the anti-disinformation and misinformation programs and organizations that the federal government supported, like the Election Integrity Project, Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI League), and the Center on Narrative, Disinformation and Strategic Influence at Arizona State.
But the number of grants? We didn’t know that. Now we do. The Free Press reports that since 2017, the federal government has awarded about 800 grants to counter mis/disinformation — and the Biden administration is responsible for more than 600 of them. The 800 grants amount to more than $1.4 billion.
The findings by reporters Gabe Kaminsky and Madeleine Rowley are based on a new database of anti-mis/disinformation programs. The database was created by the free speech advocacy group liber-net.
“A large number of these projects cynically employed the ‘misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation’ framework to counter their political adversaries, with U.S. government funding making it possible,” liber-net’s director, Andrew Lowenthal, told the Free Press.
President Trump signed an executive order on his first day in office that accused the Biden administration of violating free speech rights “under the guise” of combatting misinformation, disinformation and malinformation.
But Kaminsky and Rowley found that several of the programs were continuing under the Trump administration — at least until they started asking about the grants, as Kaminsky explains to Racket.
We reached out to agencies to understand if these programs would continue under President Trump. What we found was a groundswell of federal officials taking the information and letting us know that they were either terminating the programs, investigating them, or adjusting internal policies as to how they characterize some of these programs to ensure alignment with the President’s executive order on “restoring freedom of speech and ending federal censorship” that he signed on his first day in office. Some agencies, however, didn’t respond, or, in the case of the National Science Foundation, declined to comment.
In one example the Free Press cites, NIH director Jay Bhattacharya sent an email marked “URGENT” to employees to investigate grants and contracts related to “fighting misinformation or disinformation.”…..”

they’re PRISONERS for a reason and you don’t want to offend them by using dogs to search for knives which they use to stab prison guards? because you don’t want to seem racist? islam is a religion not a race.
article
Kurt Zindulka20 Apr 2025 3:14
In the wake of the stabbing of multiple prison guards allegedly by the Manchester Arena terrorist, the head of the largest prison officers’ union revealed that the prison was barred from conducting searches with sniffer dogs on Muslim inmates.
Earlier this month, four prison officers at His Majesty’s Prison Frankland were injured with boiling oil and a makeshift blade. Hashem Abedi, who was convicted of aiding his brother in bombing an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that left 22 dead and over a thousand injured, was alleged to have been the attacker.
On Sunday, the national chair of the Prison Officers’ Association, Mark Fairhurst, claimed that Abedi and other Islamist inmates in Frankland were exempt from searches with trained K-9s on the order of the prison’s management committee, which sided with Muslim prisoners, who complained that contact with dogs went against their faith.
“When it first opened, every prisoner housed on that unit was thoroughly searched on the unit, and when they left the unit and when they returned to the unit. On occasion, dogs were used,” he told The Sun.
“The prisoners complained that it interfered with their religious beliefs. The management committee overruled the staff and removed the dogs from searching those prisoners.”
“We appease these prisoners and pander to them. Why? Why are we so obsessed with upsetting prisoners, terrorist prisoners, whose sole purpose is to murder prison officers?”
This critique was seconded by Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick, who said: “It’s pathetic if HMP Frankland has folded to Islamist prisoners and allowed them to circumvent security checks.
“This would allow Islamist gangs to control prison wings across the country. Officers should not fear being labelled racist if they step in to restore order and control from radical Islamist prisoners.”
According to the paper, unnamed sources within the Ministry of Justice denied that there had been any operational changes regarding the use of dogs in searches, including at the Falkland prison.
Yet, in a statement which seemingly skirted an official denial, Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood said that the government will seek to “strengthen” the defences of prison staff and the public. She said that in the wake of the stabbing attack at Falkland, the “Prison Service will also conduct a snap review into whether protective body armour should be made available to front-line staff.”
There have been increasing concerns about the Muslim prison population in Britain, which accounts for nearly a fifth of all prisoners despite Muslims only making up around 6 per cent of the country’s population per the latest census.
A 2022 report on the growing influence of Muslim gangs in British prisons by anti-terrorism legislation reviewer Jonathan Hall KC found that such groups were “encouraged” to attack non-Muslim prisoners, as well as on prison staff. The report found that “self-styled emirs” used “enforcers” to exert control over areas of the prison and that there were failures to push back against this by authorities for fear of appearing racist.

Here are top hypocrites of the week.

‘News Distortion Doesn’t Cut It’…..
‘No One Is Above the Law’…..
‘Smiley Face on Assassination’…..
So much un-holiness on Holy Week.”

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “After a suspect claiming to be “Jesus and God” placed his own parents in a violent hostage situation, a no-nonsense Florida sheriff made clear, “He asked to be shot … and we obliged him.”

Wow! REALLY stupid on Paxton’s part!!!

Red State, Nick Arama, April 20, 2025
Roll ’em!
Oh, please.

“FSU Shooter’s Family Life Was a Mess”
Hot Air, John Sexton | April 19, 2025
She and the shooter’s father had long ago separated and their custody battle went on for more than a decade, from the time he was a young child until he turned 18-years-old.
The fighting culminated in 2015 when Christian Eriksen was 10-years-old. His mother said she was taking him to south Florida for a vacation but in fact she fled the country to Norway.
A judge in Norway eventually ordered his return to the US and when they returned his mother was charged and given 200 days in jail plus 2 years probation. A few years later he changed his name, taking his father’s name instead of his mother’s.
Christian spoke to a judge and said the change was in part motivated by the 2015 incident with his mother. At the time the judge said he seemed well-spoken and intelligent.
But he made a different impression later on with a political discussion group he joined at a community college he attended before transferring to FSU.

This isn’t a reform. It’s a reckoning.

In one example the Free Press cites, NIH director Jay Bhattacharya sent an email marked “URGENT” to employees to investigate grants and contracts related to “fighting misinformation or disinformation.”…..”

I am disgusted the world panders to mooseslimes!!!
they’re PRISONERS for a reason and you don’t want to offend them by using dogs to search for knives which they use to stab prison guards? because you don’t want to seem racist? islam is a religion not a race.
