I found an interesting article about Dr. Suess since today is his birthday! He was born February 2, 1904 and he passed away September 24, 1991. Today is also National Read Across America Day! This article details 20 interesting facts about Dr. Suess.
From Parade.com:
20 Dr. Seuss Facts You Didn’t Know
1. Dr. Seuss was voted “Least Likely to Succeed” by his classmates at Dartmouth College (1921–25).
2. And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, his first children’s book, was rejected 27 times before getting published in 1937.
3. Dr. Seuss is credited with inventing the word “nerd,” which first appeared in If I Ran the Zoo in 1950.
4. Green Eggs and Ham was written on a $50 bet when his publisher challenged him to write a book using 50 words or less.

5. Celebrities who’ve voiced or acted as characters in TV shows and movies based on Dr. Seuss books and stories include Boris Karloff and Jim Carrey (How the Grinch Stole Christmas), Mike Myers (The Cat in the Hat), Danny DeVito (The Lorax) and Jim Carrey, again (Horton Hears a Who!).
6. The Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden in Springfield, Massachusetts, features sculptures of him and many of his characters.
7. Dr. Seuss comes by his love of verse from his mother, who used to make up rhymes based on pie flavors for him when he was a child.
8. Before finding success as a children’s author, Dr. Seuss earned his livelihood creating ads for an advertising agency.

9. At one point, Dr. Seuss’ father ran the local zoo, which is when Dr. Seuss began sketching animals.
10. Seuss added ‘Dr.’ to his name for his father, who had hoped he would become a medical doctor.
11. Dr. Seuss liked that “Soose” rhymed with Mother Goose, so he adopted that pronunciation, rather than “Soice,” which is the correct German pronunciation.
12. From 1943 to 1946, Geisel served as a captain (and ultimately lieutenant colonel) in the animation department of the Army’s 1st Motion Picture Unit and was sent to Hollywood to produce World War II propaganda cartoons featuring the military misadventures of Private Snafu.

13. After WWII, Seuss and his wife, Helen, lived in an old observation tower on a mountain outside La Jolla, California.
14. Dr. Seuss’s personalized license plate read “GRINCH.”
15. After publishing The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas in 1957, Dr. Seuss began receiving thousands of fan letters—so many that the Random House mailroom began weighing rather than counting the letters. In one year, they reported that Dr. Seuss received 9,267 pounds of mail.
16. The title character of Yertle the Turtle was based on Adolf Hitler.

17. Seuss was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1984, the first person to win for writing children’s books.
18. After graduating from Dartmouth, he enrolled at the University of Oxford but dropped out in 1927.
19. Dr. Seuss had no biological children. His second wife, Audrey Dimond, had two daughters.
20. His influence even reached the scientific community, where an Ecuadorian jumping spider is named after The Lorax. The Lapsias lorax has yellow markings near its mouth, which resemble the mustache of its literary counterpart.

It would really be nice to think that my protestations over the history being ignored might have something to do with the light now being shone on that very subject….I know it didn’t but I’m just happy to see them raising the subject now. Rodney posted this last night – about the children being taken and sold for body parts in Ukraine – RFKJ is on it, which means Trump is, too! WHOOPEE!!! He is teasing something coming out from “someone very high up” soon on this subject!

NBC News in 2022: “Biden had barely finished telling Zelenskyy he’d just greenlighted another $1 billion in U.S. military assistance for Ukraine when Zelenskyy started listing all the additional help he needed and wasn’t getting. Biden lost his temper, the people familiar with the call said. The American people were being quite generous, and his administration and the U.S. military were working hard to help Ukraine, he said, raising his voice, and Zelenskyy could show a little more gratitude.”

Just The News: “House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., on Sunday said that Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy might need to resign following the heated Oval Office meeting with President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.
Johnson said Zelenskyy “needs to come to his senses and come back to the table in gratitude or someone else needs to lead the country to do that” so Ukraine can negotiate a peace deal with Russia and the U.S.
Johnson, who appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” also said the mineral-rights deal that was not signed would have been beneficial for both the U.S. and Ukraine.
“They will effectively be in an economic partnership with us after that point, and we will definitely always defend our interests and our investments,” Johnson added. “Russia knows that. China knows that. Iran, North Korea know that and that’s a very important message for us.”

Just The News: “The situation: A non-traditional politician surprises pollsters and more conventional rivals to perform unexpectedly well with voters. Before long, charges start to emerge that the candidate’s surge may have been fueled by illegal support from Russia.
Is it the story of Donald Trump in 2016? No, this time around it’s about Calin Georgescu, the nationalist frontrunner in the race to become Romania’s next president. Georgescu, who has been lauded by Trump, was arrested in Bucharest last week as he was about to formally register his candidacy.
The events took place barely two weeks after U.S. Vice President JD Vance warned Europe was at risk from what he called “the threat from within.”
Sparked by mass migration, slowing economic growth, and rising energy prices, politics in Europe have taken a marked populist and turn in recent years, and Romania– the sixth most populous country in the 27-nation European Union and a key part of the EU’s eastward expansion since the early 2000s – appears ready to dovetail with that trend.
In November, Georgescu and his “Romania First” campaign finished first in the initia round of Romania’s presidential election. He earned about 23% of the vote in a six-candidate field, ahead of center-left leader Elena Lasconi, a former journalist, and sitting Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, who finished within a few thousand votes of each other with around 19 percent each.
The pro-Russian Georgescu was scheduled to face Lasconi in a second round of voting in early December. But that vote was called off after widespread election irregularities, including alleged Russian tampering aimed at helping Georgescu.
The developments earned mixed reviews from European leaders and media. But multi-billionaire and Trump ally Elon Musk loudly criticized the court’s decision, blasting Judge Marian Enache for the decision to call off the vote. “This guy is a tyrant, not a judge,” Musk wrote on X.
A new first round of voting was scheduled to take place May 4, with the second round two weeks later. Georgescu was again expected to do well, with the country seeing pro-Georgescu protests in recent weeks and polls showing his support had expanded to as much as 38% of likely voters. Lasconi, meanwhile, sank into single digits.
On Wednesday, Georgescu was on his way to submit paperwork for the May vote when his aides said he was taken into custody by authorities and taken to the General Prosecutor’s Office in Bucharest for questioning.
Prosecutors said 47 Romanian addresses connected to people and entities associated with Georgescu and his campaign were raided the same day on allegations of ‘false statements regarding sources of financing” and activities “with a fascist, racist, or xenophobic” character.
Ciolacu, the prime minister who decided not to run in the new presidential election, defended the prosecutors’ apprehension of Georgescu. “The judiciary is independent and the law must be applied regardless of who is involved,” he said.
Georgescu said authorities “will do anything to block my candidacy for the presidency.” But anger about recent events went beyond Romani’s borders. “They just arrested the person who won the most votes in the Romanian presidential election,” Musk said. “This is messed up.”
Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu was among many in Romania who accused Musk of “a form of election interference” in his vocal support for Georgescu. Musk has not been shy about supporting European leaders he likes, including Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Alice Weidel, the leader of Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany party that finished a strong second in elections there on Sunday.
Vance earned global headlines earlier in the month when he told leaders at the Munich Security Conference that the biggest security threat they faced was not Russia or China but rather “the enemy within,” referring to what he called the suppression of certain voices.
Later, Vance applied that point of view to Romania at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
“You don’t have shared values if you cancel elections because you don’t like the result, and that happened in Romania, if you’re so afraid of your own people that you silence them and shut them up,” Vance said.”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump will have a routine physical exam sometime in April, Sean Barbabella, the president’s physician said in a White House statement. The exact date will be announced later.
The March 1 statement said that the exam will take place at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. At 78, Trump is America’s oldest president, second only to former President Joe Biden. He underwent annual exams at the center each year of his first presidency, CNN reports.
A physical in 2018, the AFP reports, suggested Trump could lose 10 to 15 pounds, but he was otherwise in “excellent health.” His doctor noted that there were no signs of cognitive decline and that he could “live to be 200 years old.”
Trump does not drink alcohol or smoke, but he does reportedly enjoy fast food.”

EXCERPT: “A prominent Ukrainian lawmaker declared it was “absolute idiocy” for President Volodymyr Zelensky to openly argue with U.S. President Donald Trump in front of the world during their Oval Office meeting on Friday.
Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada parliament in Kyiv, lamented that Ukraine’s relationship with President Trump came to an “end” on Friday after a heated White House meeting in which President Zelensky was accused of being “disrespectful” to the U.S. leader and the American people.
Goncharenko wrote on Facebook that it was “absolute idiocy to start ARGUING with the President of the United States in front of the cameras,” adding that “it can be done and probably should be done, but not in front of cameras.”
The Ukrainian MP, who sits with the European Solidarity bloc of former Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko in the parliament, went on to warn that Zelensky’s behaviour on Friday could have “very bad consequences” for Ukraine.
Goncharenko said that such consequences could include a potential shut down of Elon Musk’s Starlink internet access to the Ukrainian armed forces to even an end of Washington sharing intelligence with Kyiv, both of which have been critical for Ukraine in its war with Russia.
The Ukrainian lawmaker added, “Zelensky has put millions of people at risk, and it’s madness.”…..

Left-wing theatre managers who invited 200 migrants to a free show will abandon the building and face bankruptcy as refugees still refuse to leave after three months and spark wave of sex-related violence
27 February 2025
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14444165/Left-wing-theatre-managers-invited-200-migrants-free-abandon-building-face-bankruptcy-refugees-refuse-leave-three-months-spark-wave-sex-related-violence.html
Left-wing managers of a Paris theatre occupied by hundreds of homeless African migrants are set to abandon the building because of sex-related violence.
They say the crisis at the Gaîté Lyrique – one of the French capital’s most historic arts venues – is now ‘so explosive’ that retreat by this Friday is their only option.
Some 200 mainly young men moved in last December when the management gave them free tickets to a ‘Refugees Welcome in France’ conference.
But when the conference was finished, the migrants, who mostly come from France’s former west African colonies, refused to leave the venue.
Performances were soon cancelled – losing the theatre thousands in revenue – as makeshift beds were placed around the stage and auditorium.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is holding a Ukraine summit in London today with EU leaders, following two phone calls with President Trump.
According to the outline Starmer proposed on BBC News, following the disastrous Zelenskyy meeting in the White House, the British PM called President Trump and also Emmanuel Macron. According to his statements, Starmer told Trump he would work with Macron +2 unidentified countries (a “coalition of the willing”), to organize an EU security force for a Ukraine ceasefire; then the group will require Trump to provide a U.S. troop “backstop” as an insurance policy.

Lifted from Facebook. Seems to make sense to me, I don’t think revenge was PDJ T’s first motive. I think his first motive is for the American people. But I think he enjoyed this side effect:
“It seems I need to make one item clearer as it is slipping through the cracks.
This meeting with Zelensky was NOT about the War, it is ending on its own with attrition.
It was not about minerals, or oil, or peace. That was the bait.
It was not about Russia or Putin, Trump is no puppet.
It was not about Ukraine as a nation or a people, the US is going to abandon them.
Although these topics were core to it, the meeting and the very reason it was public, and the very reason it turned nasty and personal and the very reason they did not end it and just turn off the cameras, is because it was intended to be this way.
This was to deliver a personal message on world wide TV.
Donald Trump personally called Zelensky and begged him to come clean, to release the corruption files about Biden and his son Hunter and their oil deals. Deals that also implicated some senior Republicans like Romney.
And Zelensky refused. Then lied. And he left Trump to be impeached by his enemies, have his family and fortunes suffer.
And Trump just returned the favor. He is going to let Zelensky be taken and dealt with by his enemies and without protection.
That is what happened. Nothing else happened. Putin got the message loud and clear because he is a thug. Zelensky got the message loud and clear because he too is a thug.
And Trump showed Zelensky who the biggest of them all truly is.
It will cost Zelensky his life. There is no Swiss resort for him in the future.
He left Trump to die, and they missed. Both politically and literally. Zelensky will not be as lucky.
The war and Ukraine and their people will not enter into it.”

“Hero bus driver saves 15 children from burning school bus”
Not The Bee, Dr. Jones, Mar 1, 2025
“One Cleveland area school district may need to issue a cape as part of the uniform for one bus driver after his act of heroism resulted in 15 students being saved from a burning school bus.
The New York Post reported that the driver, who did not want to be recognized, acted quickly to rescue the kids.
While there was no word on whether a particularly industrious student may have used ingenuity to start the blaze, the district’s superintendent expressed gratitude for the driver’s heroism:
Another bus arrived to pick up the rescued students after the harrowing ordeal and take them to school.”

Now this is a strange situation…..get it together, NE!!!
“This girl got randomly assigned the name “Unakite Thirteen Hotel,” and getting it corrected is proving to be a nightmare. Come see why.”
Not The Bee, Davy Crockett, Mar 1, 2025
“If there’s a problem with a government document — an error on a birth certificate, for instance — it seems like it should be pretty simple to get it fixed, right? Just call up the government, ask them to fix it, and then — boom. Right?
Unfortunately, the government just doesn’t like things that simple. Case in point: This young lady out of Nebraska.
“Unakite Thirteen Hotel”?
It is a made-up name: Specifically it was a “computer-generated name” the government slapped on the birth certificate for some reason.
To be sure, the young lady’s early life has been a bit chaotic. She was born to a mother in Iowa who immediately gave her up to foster parents; she was ultimately placed with Kilburn, the father. He and the mother “had dated on and off for several years but were not together when she gave birth.”
Evidently, in the time leading up to her placement with foster parents, “instead of a birth certificate, the girl had received only a certificate of live birth,” with the bizarre name on it. Kilburn’s lawyer said the process is “a circuitous, bureaucratic loop.”
Amazingly — or maybe not so amazingly, it is government, after all — the bureaucracy said it needed to use the girl’s fake name to get her a real name:
The government did indeed issue the birth certificate with the bogus name, but — of course! — “the agency never followed through with getting her a Social Security number.” A court subsequently denied Kilburn’s request to reopen the matter. In the meantime, as the idiotic process gets dealt with by inept government workers, Kilburn can’t access any government benefits for his daughter, which is causing its own series of headaches.
However, the young lady is reportedly doing well nonetheless:
This should be an easy fix. Hope the government can figure out how to do it.”

“The Deep State Started This War”
Clandestine, Mar 02, 2025
Share
“If you still believe that Russia started this conflict in 2022, then you are either corrupt, ignorant, or brainwashed.
If you don’t know who Victoria Nuland is, or what she was doing in Ukraine in 2014, then you have no idea what’s going on.
The Deep State started this war. It was the Obama CIA/State Dept that funded Nazi militant groups to start a civil war in Ukraine, and initiated regime change to a CIA/State Dept puppet, Yatseniuk.
This was all revealed in the leaked phone call between State Dept diplomats and Deep State agents, Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt.
After the Maidan coup in February 2014, the US CIA/State Dept owned Ukraine via proxy, and the CIA began using Ukraine as a giant offshore playground for criminal racketeering and money laundering. Ukraine became one giant CIA base, directly on Russia’s border.
Then the US/NATO began building up Ukraine’s army for the sole purpose of one day fighting Russia. The US/NATO began supplying Ukraine with weapons, equipment, missiles, training, intelligence, etc.
Covert elements within the US government, along with their European partners in NATO, used espionage to overthrow and take control of the nation of Ukraine, then built a massive standing army on Russia’s border, then tried to bring Ukraine into NATO, and thus start WW3.
If you are still buying the official MSM narrative about this conflict, you should not be engaged in conversations.
Everything the MSM told you about Ukraine/Russia has been a lie, and in many cases, the inverse of the truth.”
