Philippine Eagle

The Philippine eagle or monkey-eating eagle is considered one of the rarest and most powerful birds in the world. The Southeast Asian country declared it as its national bird and protects this critically-endangered species at all costs, punishing those who are found guilty of killing it with 12 years of imprisonment or with high fines. Below, we round up 11 interesting facts about this majestic bird.

It can live up to 60 years of age

The Philippine eagle’s life expectancy ranges from 30 to 60 years. Two Philippine eagles were recorded to have lived for more than 40 years – one of which died on October 2016. The full-grown, female Philippine eagle named ‘Thor’ (after the Norse God of Thunder), died due to old age. Authorities believe her captivity worsened her condition. Hence, it is believed the Philippine eagle can live longer if left in the wild.

The female Philippine eagle is usually bigger

The giant forest raptor is not only considered as rare and powerful but also recognised for its length. It can grow up to 3 feet and its wingspan can extend up to 7 feet. Average measurements among male and female Philippine eagles suggest the female Philippine eagle can be 10% bigger than its male counterpart. In terms of length, it’s considered as the largest surviving eagle in the world.

It doesn’t really eat monkeys

Earlier beliefs suggested that the Philippine eagle was also known as the monkey-eating eagle because it preyed on monkeys. However, contrary to popular belief, the Philippine eagle does not eat monkeys. According to recent studies, it preys on a variety of animals, usually rodents, bats, snakes, and pigs.

It has a distinguished noise

The noises heard from a Philippine eagle are described as loud and high-pitched, suggesting its fierce and territorial characteristics. It has clearer eyesight than humans.

It is found in four major islands in the Philippines

It’s only found in the Philippines, and can be spotted on four major islands. These are the islands of Leyte, Luz

on, Mindanao, and Samar. However, due to shooting and trapping, the Philippine eagle has been critically endangered for years. Despite the prevalence of strict laws, there are still cases of Philippine eagles being shot in forests. Thus, the Philippine Eagle Center was put up as a conservation breeding facility for this highly-threatened raptor.

Deforestration is usually the cause of its death

The forest, particularly lush dense forests, is the Philippine eagle’s home. Despite the country’s abundance of greenery, massive logging and irresponsible use of resources is killing the forests, thereby killing the species’ home. Aside from shooting and trapping, deforestration is also seen as a major cause of Philippine eagle deaths.

The Philippine Eagle is monogamous and loyal

The Philippine eagle is reportedly very loyal. Once paired to a partner, they choose to remain as a couple for the rest of their lives. As for their offsprings, a Philippine eagle only lays a single egg every two years. And before they lay another egg, the parent eagles ensure that their offspring can already survive on its own.

A British naturalist discovered the Philippine eagle

t wasn’t a Filipino or local who discovered this powerful bird species. British naturalist and explorer John Whitehead discovered the Philippine eagle in 1896, when he found the specimen in Paranas, Samar. In honor of his father, who financed his expeditions and explorations, the Philippine eagle was scientifically named as ‘Pithecophaga jefferyi’ – where ‘jefferyi’ means Jeffrey (the father of John Whitehead).

It has no recognized subspecies

The Philippine eagle was named as the country’s national bird in 1995. Proclamation No. 615, signed by former President Fidel Ramos, gave way to the recognition of the species as the country’s national bird. It was recognized as such for it is only found in the Philippines and according to the proclamation, its distinguished characteristics of strength and love for freedom exemplify the Filipino people. Unlike other raptors, the Philippine eagle has no known close relatives or sub-species, making it very unique.

Its sighting indicates a healthy environment

Since it lives in forests, many believe that sightings of a Philippine eagle indicate the healthy condition of the forest. Additionally, its presence suggests that there’s balance in the ecosystem and with a healthy natural environment, flooding and climate change effects are minimized.

Re: President Trump’s proposed External Revenue Service. Where might additional revenue be collected?

Primarily thru higher duty rates, and more careful review of import entries to confirm correct tariff classification, country of origin, legitimacy of invoice, etc. This means getting rid of “paperless entries” (honor system), entry summary review bypass, etc. And also reinstating fraud penalties (eg 19USC1592), which were mostly abandoned years ago.

Next, let us take note of Art 1, Sec 10, C 2.1 of our Constitution. It says, in sum, that no state shall lay any duties or imposts, and all duties collected by a state must be turned over to the Treasury. However, some states (for example California and New York) collect a “use tax” on imports. This is essentially a customs duty. In fact California Franchise Tax Board had (has?) a customs department, but they seemed to have stopped using the term.

Where do states get customs entry information? From CBP! Yes, CBP gives states detailed customs import entry information. This means our Federal Customs and Border Protection agency helps states collect customs duties in violation of the Constitution. Obviously, the states that collect duty owe substantial sums to Treasury.

As long as we are on the Constitution, please note that collecting duty on exports is prohibited under
Art 1 Sec 9 C 5.1. An attempt to do so by calling the duty a HMF (harbor maintenance fee) was shot down by the Supreme Court. So, no revenue to be had from export duty.

A review of some customs fees and taxes is in order to determine that they align with what other countries are doing to US shipments, and to US vessels . The MPF (merchandise processing fee) levied on each entry is .3464%, capped at $634. Seems low to me. Vessel tonnage tax is 2 cents a ton. I think it was 1 cent in 1789. Maybe an increase is in order? There are also navigation fees, vessel entry, etc etc. A review is needed.

Let us take a look at penalties that are never assessed, but are sources of substantial revenue. See for example 18USC2320, trafficking in counterfeit goods. Its a felony that merits jail time, but the violative could instead be hit with a penalty. In this case, up to $5 million for a first offense. If the DOJ prosecuted these cases (instead of going after parents who speak up at school board meetings) we would get more revenue and better enforcement.

Time is past due for US to withdraw from the UN, stop supporting their anti American efforts with our tax $$, and kick them out of NYC. The three hostages recently released by Hamas tell us that they were kept in UNRWA facilities, one held in a “hospital”. This should be the last straw and Trump needs to end this sorry excuse of a “United Nations” immediately imho.

    https://conservativefiringline.com/merrick-garlands-departure-raises-questions-about-oklahoma-city-bombing-cover-up-and-legacy/

FTA “As Attorney General Merrick Garland prepares to leave the Department of Justice (DOJ), his tenure is under intense scrutiny, not only for his handling of politically charged investigations but also for resurfacing allegations tied to his role in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing case. Garland, who once described his work on the bombing investigation as “the most important thing” he had ever done, now faces accusations of concealing critical evidence, including the existence of a second suspect, John Doe #2, and suppressing surveillance footage. The Oklahoma City bombing, which killed 168 people and injured hundreds more, remains one of the deadliest acts of domestic terrorism in U.S. history. Timothy McVeigh was convicted and executed for the attack, but questions about a potential accomplice have lingered for decades. Critics, including investigative journalists and legal analysts, allege that Garland, who oversaw the prosecution of McVeigh, played a role in obscuring evidence that pointed to a second individual involved in the bombing.

Merrick Garland’s tenure as attorney general was defined by high-stakes investigations and political polarization. Yet, as he steps down, the focus has shifted to his earlier role in one of the most devastating acts of terrorism in U.S. history. The allegations of a cover-up in the Oklahoma City bombing case, coupled with the mysterious meeting with Hillary Clinton, raise troubling questions about transparency and accountability in the pursuit of justice. Whether these allegations will lead to a renewed investigation remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: Garland’s legacy, once defined by his reputation as a meticulous and fair-minded prosecutor, is now under a cloud of suspicion that may take years to dispel.”

I will admit my ignorance, I had no idea Garland was involved in the OKC bombing case!!! Perhaps there are other Treepers who knew? I hope President Trump will declassify everything about this case as well!!! More transparency is more freedom!!! JMO.

  6. A little more info…..

Just The News: “A group of former Israeli hostages freed from Hamas custody claim they were detained in facilities belonging to an embattled United Nations organization that came under international scrutiny amid the Israel-Gaza conflict over its ties to Hamas.

Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher entered Red Cross custody on Sunday as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. The trio said they spent some of their detention in refugee shelters operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), according to the Washington Examiner. The girls’ claims remain unverified as of press time.

The Israel Foreign Ministry was livid over the claims, saying “The UN refuses to condemn Hamas for hiding hostages in civilian spaces.”

UNRWA is a U.N. operated refugees and humanitarian organization that operates refugee camps in the Gaza Strip and handles the distribution of humanitarian aid. Critics have highlighted reports that staffers for the group have been members of Hamas and that some may have been involved in the Oct. 7 raid that kicked off the hostilities.

Last year, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.-designate Elise Stefanik called the UNRWA a “cesspool of antisemitism” amid revelations that a Hamas leader in Lebanon had been an employee of the organization. UNRWA denied knowledge of his ties to Hamas.

During her confirmation hearing, moreover, Stefanik vowed a review of U.S. funding for UN programs.”

  7. Wonder why not Fox News….? IDK who filed the complaint or whether it was in any way justified, but Fox has done their fair share of misrepresenting and/or slanting news.

Just The News: “The new chairperson of the Federal Communications Commission will reportedly reverse a decision by the agency’s former Democrat chairman to reject three complaints against major media outlets. The decision by new chairperson, President Donald Trump appointee Brendan Carr, is being reported by Newsmax, based on sources.

With days left in her term under the Biden administration, Chairperson Jessica Rosenworcel, a Democrat, last week announced she would dismiss four pending petitions and complaints before the agency that she thought attempted “to curtail freedom of the press.”

Carr will reverse the dismissal of presidential election complaints against ABC, NBC and CBS, but not the one against Fox.

The source told Newsmax that Carr will put the ABC, NBC and CBS cases, related to 2024 election coverage, back into pending or active status but the one against the Fox News Channel will not be reinstated.”

  8. Just The News: “Of the many executive orders President Donald Trump issued, one reinstates federal capital punishment.

The order, “Restoring the death penalty and protecting policy safety,” states that capital punishment “is an essential tool for deterring and punishing those who would commit the most heinous crimes and acts of lethal violence against American citizens.”

Capital punishment has long been used in the U.S. as “the ultimate deterrent and only proper punishment for the vilest crimes. Our Founders knew well that only capital punishment can bring justice and restore order in response to such evil,” it states.

Despite this, some politicians and judges who personally oppose it “have defied and subverted” U.S. laws, the order states. “At every turn, they seek to thwart the execution of lawfully imposed capital sentences and choose to enforce their personal beliefs rather than the law.”

In 2021, President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice issued a moratorium on federal executions, “in defiance of his duty to faithfully execute the laws of the United States that provide for capital punishment,” the order states.

With less than a month left in office, on Dec. 23, Biden also “commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 most vile and sadistic rapists, child molesters, and murderers on Federal death row: remorseless criminals who brutalized young children, strangled and drowned their victims, and hunted strangers for sport,” the order states. “He commuted their sentences even though the laws of our Nation have always protected victims by applying capital punishment to barbaric acts like theirs.”

While opponents of the death penalty claim it is unconstitutional, the order says that the Constitution “explicitly acknowledges the legality of capital punishment.”

“Efforts to subvert and undermine capital punishment defy the laws of our nation, make a mockery of justice, and insult the victims of these horrible crimes,” the order states.

“The Government’s most solemn responsibility is to protect its citizens from abhorrent acts, and my Administration will not tolerate efforts to stymie and eviscerate the laws that authorize capital punishment against those who commit horrible acts of violence against American citizens,” it says.

“It is the policy of the United States to ensure that the laws that authorize capital punishment are respected and faithfully implemented, and to counteract the politicians and judges who subvert the law by obstructing and preventing the execution of capital sentences.”

The order instructs the U.S. attorney general to pursue the death penalty “for all crimes of a severity demanding its use” and where consistent with applicable law, pursue federal jurisdiction to seek the death penalty “regardless of other factors for every federal capital crime involving the murder of a law-enforcement officer; or a capital crime committed by an alien illegally present in this country.”

It also instructs the AG to encourage state attorneys general and district attorneys to bring state capital charges for all capital crimes with special attention to the murder of law enforcement officers or capital crimes committed by illegal foreign nationals.

The AG is also tasked with evaluating the prison conditions of the 37 murderers whose federal death sentences were commuted and take all lawful action to ensure they “are imprisoned in conditions consistent with the monstrosity of their crimes and the threats they pose.” The AG is also tasked with evaluating if they can be charged with state capital crimes and make recommendations to state and local authorities.

The order also instructs the AG to ensure that states that allow capital punishment have “a sufficient supply of drugs needed to carry out lethal injection.”

The AG is also tasked with prosecuting violent crime committed by transnational criminal organizations and violent gangs, including those designated as foreign terrorist organizations and specially designated global terrorists.

A separate order designates Mexican cartels, the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua, Salvadoran La Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), and other organizations as FTOs and SDGTs.

Another executive order tasks the AG and others to protect Americans from foreign terrorists and other public safety threats, and to play a significant role in implementing Trump’s deportation plan, including targeting so-called sanctuary cities, The Center Square reported.”

    1. reading earlier that if PDJ declares a national emergency of sorts, he can classify any immigrant–naturalized or not–deportable. let’s say he names Venezuela–any of them in country can be called enemy combatants and deported–same with Mexico. so any of the cartels’ home countries should be helping us or ALL their citizens will be sent packing–and that means no more remittances.

Not only did the Bureau of Prisons drag its feet in releasing J6 prisoners, about a week before the inauguration, it moved some of them to remote areas. Five were sent to a prison in Oklahoma and released with the clothes on their backs and a prison ID. Oklahoma City is 40 miles away. It will be difficult and costly to get home. 10. Elon needs to control himself, IMO!!! And he clearly doesn’t know Trump as well as he thinks he does!!!

Just The News: “Elon Musk said on Wednesday that the key backers of President Donald Trump’s $500 billion AI project do not actually have the the capital to match their promised investments.

On Tuesday, Trump held a White House press conference to announce the ambitious initiative dubbed Project Stargate involving OpenAI, Softbank and Oracle. The three company executives promised combined investments of up to $500 billion focused on projects to develop AI and aims to create over 100,000 U.S. jobs.

“They don’t actually have the money,” Musk posted to his social media platform X. “SoftBank has well under $10B secured. I have that on good authority.”

The post earned a rebuke from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in a Fox News interview on Wednesday where she said “the American people should take President Trump and those CEOs’ words for it.”

The contradictory statement comes as Musk is set to head a special commission for President Trump targeting government waste, known as the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. Last week it was reported that Musk would be given coveted White House office space for the initiative, signaling his membership in Trump’s inner circle.”

  11. Just The News: “President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday emergency price relief for the cost-of-living crisis, striking down the Biden administration’s regulatory policies.

“The Biden Administration imposed complex regulatory burdens and radical policies designed to weaken American production,” the presidential memorandum fact sheet reads. “President Trump is ordering all Federal agencies to untangle the American economy from Biden constraints and improve affordability of necessary goods and services and increase the prosperity of the American workers.”

The memo takes action to eliminate “climate” policies that increase food and fuel costs; eliminate requirements that raise home appliances costs; eliminate rent-seeking practices and administrative expenses driving up healthcare costs; lower housing costs and increase housing supply; and create employment opportunities for American workers.

“Unprecedented regulatory oppression from the Biden Administration has imposed almost $50,000 in costs on the average American household, whereas President Trump’s first-term agenda reduced regulatory costs by almost $11,000 per household,” according to the memo.”

  13. “…..Jeff covered this earlier today. A lot has happened, which is why it got buried, but the media is bound to truly suffocate since it’s a school shooting that cannot be weaponized against Republicans. It’s an awful story: a student opened fire at his school, killing around 11:15 AM local time at Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee:

‘At least one student was killed after being shot in a Nashville high school cafeteria on Wednesday. Another student opened fire, striking and killing a female student and injuring one more victim before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide.

A spokesperson for the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department (NMPD) told Townhall that the agency received a call at about 11:11 am from Antioch High School reporting the shooting.

The caller said a student shot two other students in the cafeteria, injuring them. The gunman then turned the gun on himself. The authorities have not yet provided details on the nature of the injuries the two students sustained during the incident. However, the spokesperson said, “the situation is contained right now.”

Not that it matters, but in the liberal media world, black shooters are dismissed in these heinous crimes for obvious political reasons. The legacy press lusts for these shootings to be committed by white males with red hats. That’s not the case for Henderson. Check out his purported writings that were discovered by authorities (via NewsChannel5 Nashville):

Pages of writings from the alleged shooter at Antioch High School showed a layout of the school, the weapons he wanted to use and his thoughts about why he wanted to commit a shooting.

The Metro Nashville Police Department identified the shooter as Solomon Henderson, 17. He is accused of killing Josselin Corea Escalante, 16. MNPD Chief John Drake said in an afternoon press conference that there were materials on the internet the department was looking into as part of the investigation.

    […]

In his writings obtained by NewsChannel 5 Investigates, Henderson showed a layout of Antioch High School, photos of a handgun, a lock picking kit and cartridges to load the handgun. He wanted to livestream his attack in the cafeteria. The writings were connected to a social media account that was purportedly Henderson’s. He posted the writings on the account before the shooting in the cafeteria.

In one of his first sentences, Henderson wrote he “was ashamed to be Black.” He was anti-Semitic in his writings and posted a flyer from the Goyim Defense League, which is a neo-Nazi white supremacy group that visited Nashville this summer.

    […]

His writings showed that he had been thinking about violence for a few months. He wrote his final remarks on Nov. 18.

“I was so miserable. I wanted to kill myself. I just couldn’t take anymore. I am a worthless subhuman, a living breathing disgrace. All my (in real life) friends outgrew me act like they didn’t f—ing know me. Being me was so f—ing humiliating. That’s why I spend all day dissociating.”

Henderson’s writings also showed a photo of The Covenant School shooter who died in 2023 after attacking the private Christian school. Three children and three staff people died that day in addition to the shooter.

He wrote he didn’t intend to kill law enforcement and that he didn’t consider himself the victim of bullying.

We’ll keep you updated, but black Nazis cannot be weaponized to attack Trump or push a gun control narrative, so expect this story to once again be buried by the media.”

  14. ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Better late than never: last night a federal district court held that backdoor searches of databases full of Americans’ private communications collected under Section 702 ordinarily require a warrant. The landmark ruling comes in a criminal case, United States v. Hasbajrami, after more than a decade of litigation, and over four years since the Second Circuit Court of Appeals found that backdoor searches constitute “separate Fourth Amendment events” and directed the district court to determine a warrant was required. Now, that has been officially decreed.

In the intervening years, Congress has reauthorized Section 702 multiple times, each time ignoring overwhelming evidence that the FBI and the intelligence community abuse their access to databases of warrantlessly collected messages and other data.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), which Congress assigned with the primary role of judicial oversight of Section 702, has also repeatedly dismissed arguments that the backdoor searches violate the Fourth Amendment, giving the intelligence community endless do-overs despite its repeated transgressions of even lax safeguards on these searches.

This decision sheds light on the government’s liberal use of what is essential a “finders keepers” rule regarding your communication data. As a legal authority, FISA Section 702 allows the intelligence community to collect a massive amount of communications data from overseas in the name of “national security.”

But, in cases where one side of that conversation is a person on US soil, that data is still collected and retained in large databases searchable by federal law enforcement. Because the US-side of these communications is already collected and just sitting there, the government has claimed that law enforcement agencies do not need a warrant to sift through them. EFF argued for over a decade that this is unconstitutional, and now a federal court agrees with us.

Hasbajrami involves a U.S. resident who was arrested at New York JFK airport in 2011 on his way to Pakistan and charged with providing material support to terrorists. Only after his original conviction did the government explain that its case was premised in part on emails between Mr. Hasbajrami and an unnamed foreigner associated with terrorist groups, emails collected warrantless using Section 702 programs, placed in a database, then searched, again without a warrant, using terms related to Mr. Hasbajrami himself.

The district court found that regardless of whether the government can lawfully warrantlessly collect communications between foreigners and Americans using Section 702, it cannot ordinarily rely on a “foreign intelligence exception” to the Fourth Amendment’s warrant clause when searching these communications, as is the FBI’s routine practice.

And, even if such an exception did apply, the court found that the intrusion on privacy caused by reading our most sensitive communications rendered these searches “unreasonable” under the meaning of the Fourth Amendment. In 2021 alone, the FBI conducted 3.4 million warrantless searches of US person’s 702 data.

In light of this ruling, we ask Congress to uphold its responsibility to protect civil rights and civil liberties by refusing to renew Section 702 absent a number of necessary reforms, including an official warrant requirement for querying US persons data and increased transparency.

On April 15, 2026, Section 702 is set to expire. We expect any lawmaker worthy of that title to listen to what this federal court is saying and create a legislative warrant requirement so that the intelligence community does not continue to trample on the constitutionally protected rights to private communications. More immediately, the FISC should amend its rules for backdoor searches and require the FBI to seek a warrant before conducting them.”

The Planning and Zoning Law requires the legislative body of a city or county to adopt a comprehensive, long-term general plan that includes various elements, including, among others, a housing element and a safety element for the protection of the community from unreasonable risks associated with the effects of various geologic and seismic hazards, flooding, and wildland and urban fires. Existing law requires the housing element to be revised according to a specific schedule. Existing law requires the planning agency to review and, if necessary, revise the safety element upon each revision of the housing element or local hazard mitigation plan, but not less than once every 8 years to identify new information relating to flood and fire hazards and climate adaptation and resiliency strategies applicable to the city or county that was not available during the previous revision of the safety element.

So, why was this bill not signed into law? Because Newsom vetoed it.

  17. EXCERPT: “The manipulative media have a new job for unborn babies: public relations in the immigration battle, working the birthright citizenship beat in opposition of President Donald Trump. In exchange for tugging the heartstrings of the American people, the unborn will be granted political personhood, temporarily obviously, until the issue is settled.

The first assignment: a piece in The New York Times titled, “Undocumented Women Ask: Will My Unborn Child Be a Citizen?”

You’ve come a long way, baby! The Gray Lady has declared an unborn is a child. It’s surprising given that a New York Times editorial board’s opinion piece warned in March that, “The anti-abortion movement is pursuing its aims on many legal fronts. One focus of intense activity is so-called fetal-personhood laws, which endow fetuses (and, in some cases, even fertilized eggs) with the same legal rights as living, breathing human beings.”

Don’t cry baby, they said that before they needed to use you as political currency. The value of the voiceless, powerless unborn hinges on the words used to describe them, and that depends on the speaker’s agenda. Unwanted unborn are not valued. They are called a fetus, clump of cells, or product of conception. This language removes the unborn’s humanity, making it easier to justify killing them.

Wanted unborn are called babies. No one throws a clump of cells shower, or announces, “I’m having a fetus!” For the same reason, the New York Times did not title their article “Undocumented Women Ask: Will My Product of Conception Be a Citizen?” They wanted these babies to be valued by the reader.

Usually, fetus is the favored word for pro-abortion politicians, nonprofit representatives, and reporters when they talk about abortion. New York Times abortion writer Kate Zernike can write abortion-related articles without mentioning a baby or fetus. When she does make mention, it is “fetus” unless she is quoting someone who said the B-word.

When possible, the pro-abortion movement minimizes the reality of the baby and tries not to mention it at all. For example, the Maryland measure passed last year, enshrining a right to abortion in the state constitution, never refers to a baby or fetus. It only mentions a “right to reproductive freedom,”– a right that does not extend to the unborn…..”

  18. EXCERPT: “Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr is refusing to say whether he plans to investigate the legally questionable arrest of a GOP state senator during last week’s State of the State address, The Federalist has learned.

The incident in question came to fruition last Thursday, when Sen. Colton Moore attempted to enter the House of Representatives to listen to Gov. Brian Kemp’s State of the State address to joint members of the Georgia General Assembly. The GOP senator was previously banished from the lower chamber last year by Republican Speaker Jon Burns after criticizing the apparent corruption of late Speaker David Ralston, Burns’ predecessor.

Burns sent a letter to Moore on Jan. 14, notifying him that he is “not allowed to enter the House Chamber” to attend Kemp’s Thursday address unless he “deliver[s] a sincere apology to the family, extended family, and loved ones of former Speaker David Ralston from the floor of the Senate” before then. In his Jan. 15 response, Moore called the speaker’s notice “unconstitutional, illegal, and the most disgraceful piece of correspondence issued by a legislator in the history of the State of Georgia,” and threatened to take legal action against Burns and “any others found to be inappropriately interfering or otherwise obstructing any Senator or Representative from discharging their duties.”

The senator cited the Georgia Constitution, which states, “The members of both houses shall be free from arrest during sessions of the General Assembly, or committee meetings thereof, and in going thereto or returning therefrom, except for treason, felony, or breach of the peace. No member shall be liable to answer in any other place for anything spoken in either house or in any committee meeting of either house.”

Upon trying to enter the House for Kemp’s remarks, Moore was detained by Georgia State Patrol officers and was subsequently taken to Fulton County Jail.

Following the incident, Burns defended having Moore arrested and accused the Republican senator of “creat[ing] a dangerous situation” by trying to enter the lower chamber. The speaker seemingly reversed course following a wave of public backlash, announcing on Friday he lifted his ban prohibiting Moore from entering the House…..”

  20. Trump Officials Pause Health Agencies’ Communications, Citing Review

The Trump administration has instructed federal health agencies to pause all external communications, such as health advisories, weekly scientific reports, updates to websites and social media posts, according to nearly a dozen current and former officials and other people familiar with the matter.

The instructions were delivered Tuesday to staff at agencies inside the Department of Health and Human Services, including officials at the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institutes of Health, one day after the new administration took office, according to the people with knowledge, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations.

Some people familiar with the matter acknowledged that they expected some review during a presidential transition but said they were confused by the pause’s scope and indeterminate length. – The Washington Post

Our Take: The narrative about the next pandemic – this time bird flu – has been seeded for months, and a big part of selling a pandemic is the super official communication from the health agencies.

“The CDC was scheduled to publish several MMWR reports this week, including three about the H5N1 avian influenza virus outbreak, according to one federal health official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share internal discussions.”

A communication pause frustrates pandemic narrative control, but that’s not the only impact of this move by Team Trump. The directive reads as those health communications are undergoing a centralized review.

This is the way. You can’t tell the people, you have to show them. – Ashe in America

  21. Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Breaks Records

The beginning of President Donald Trump’s second term has seen his net approval rating reach a historic high, according to Rasmussen Reports, with the latest Presidential Tracking Poll showing a net approval of +14. This marks a significant milestone for Trump, breaking previous records set during his first term.

The poll, conducted by the conservative-leaning polling company over a two-day average from approximately 829 U.S. likely voters, showed that 54 percent of respondents approve of Trump’s job performance, while 40 percent disapprove.

A three-day rolling average of this data is set to be released on January 23.
    – Newsweek

Our Take: It’s day three of the Trump presidency, and 47 was correct:

There is so much happening – since Monday, the news cycle appears to have tripled. The narrative deployments feel disorganized and chaotic, lawsuits are flying in all directions, psyops have become comedically ridiculous.

As we will see later in this brief, “it’s already different,” and it’s only day three. The response to Trump 2.0 from the institutional powers leans toward hysteria but, while polls didn’t suddenly become real, the gap between the institutions and the people appears to be widening.

Of course Trump is popular. He was always popular. It’s now okay for them to admit it. – Ashe in America

  22. “President Trump To Pardon Imprisoned Pro-Life Activists Within Days

Sources close to the White House tell The Daily Wire that freeing pro-life activists targeted by the Biden DOJ is an immediate priority”

By  Mary Margaret Olohan and Leif Le Mahieu, Jan 23, 2025, DailyWire.com

EXCERPT: “President Donald Trump will pardon pro-life activists imprisoned by the Biden Justice Department within days, The Daily Wire has learned.

The plight of the imprisoned pro-lifers is an immediate priority to Trump’s team, and they will likely be pardoned within days, two sources with knowledge of the matter shared with The Daily Wire. The revelation comes a day ahead of the 52nd annual March for Life, a massive peaceful demonstration that takes place in Washington D.C. to bring awareness to the many babies whose lived are ended through abortions. The president is expected to appear at the rally in a pre-recorded video.

Trump issued a sweeping executive order on Monday that granted full pardons for about 1,500 criminal defendants related to the January 6 Capitol Riot, making good on a campaign promises to free those targeted by the Biden administration. His actions prompted many in the pro-life community to hope that he would similarly pardon the pro-life activists targeted by the Biden Justice Department under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

“I hope President Trump will shortly pardon the pro-life prisoners unjustly targeted & jailed by the Biden Administration,” Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley posted to “X” on Wednesday. “They deserve to be free.”

On Thursday, The Daily Signal first reported that Republican Utah Sen, Mike Lee had re-introduced a bill that would repeal the FACE Act once and for all.

“While President [Donald] Trump is stopping these outrageous prosecutions, we should ensure that no future administration has the ability to persecute Americans through unequal application of the law,” Lee told the publication….”

“Couple who rented out home on Airbnb say guests turned it into a meth lab”

    (Video)

“OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT/Gray News) – While visiting their family out of state for the holidays, Daniel and Jocelyn Medrano offered their home in Omaha, Nebraska, as a vacation rental on Airbnb. For about two years, the couple has rented out their house to help pay for travel costs during the holiday season. During their stay in Florida this year, they received a booking request they couldn’t pass up.

“Probably one of the best bookings we have ever got, an 11-day stay,” Daniel Medrano said. “We were super excited because that right there paid for our trip to Florida.” The Medranos said the Airbnb guest paid through instant booking. However, they say communication was difficult throughout the process, and the man didn’t show up on the property until the second day of his booking.

The couple kept a close eye on their home through surveillance cameras they had installed outside a month prior. Once the guest arrived, trouble soon followed. “All of a sudden, he brings two or three other men to the house that are not on the reservation,” Jocelyn Medrano said. “So, then I have to message him, and I am like, ‘Hey you cannot do that. That is against Airbnb policy.’”

The couple could only watch helplessly as the men would leave and come back with more suspicious items. The guests were seen on surveillance camera hauling utility fans, cooking pots and other objects through the front door. The couple also watched in horror as one of the men brought in four big bags of white powder.

The Medranos hoped, at best, that the Airbnb guests were having a house party. But their worst fear became a reality – the guests were turning their home into a meth lab, which police later confirmed. Daniel Medrano said neighbors began reaching out, asking about the situation, which prompted the couple to contact authorities a few times.

Eventually, a detective with Omaha police responded and got to work. After the couple gave their blessing, police set up surveillance outside the home….”

“The Hughes Fire in Castaic, which broke out Wednesday, has put more than 50,000 people under evacuation orders and warnings in the northern Los Angeles County community, authorities say. It has burned 10,176 acres in L.A. and Ventura counties and was 14% contained as of Thursday morning.

Fires across the L.A. area have killed at least 28 people, destroyed more than 15,000 structures and charred some 63 square miles. The Palisades and Eaton wildfires continue to burn today.

“Critical fire conditions” and red-flag warnings for Santa Ana winds are in effect for Los Angeles and neighboring Ventura counties, according to forecasters. Some rain is forecast for the weekend, which is raising concern about possible mudslides and flooding due to burn scars.

In San Diego County, south of Los Angeles, firefighters have battled several smaller blazes that broke out this week.

Somewhere along the line when all is said and done and the fires are contained, any number of civic leaders need to have their feet held to the fire – no pun intended – on how and why these regularly-occurring, natural incidents are not planned and prepared for. It makes no sense for them to piss away so many billions of tax dollars on bullshit like gay pride flags, trains to nowhere and tranny bathrooms when lives could be saved with good, sensible logistics planning and forestry management…”

The people in South Jersey did not want this. They had yard signs all over the place protesting the windmills. It would have been a disaster for the whales and the Jersey shore.

A special thank you to great New Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew for his fight against a large scale Windmill DISASTER off the coast of Southern New Jersey. It needed MASSIVE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY that was impossible to justify. Hopefully the project is dead and gone, as almost all unsightly and environmentally unsound Windmill project should be. Congratulations to the great people of New Jersey. You have FINALLY won your war on stupidity!!!

Still has the original tires on it, which are afflicted with dry rot by now. But talk about a wonderful garage find! A friend of his wife’s grandparents bought it in Europe, then shipped it home with them. It looks something like this but a little darker w/white-wall tires & top:

“Trump is Honing in on Offshore Gain of Function Research!”

    Clandestine, Jan 23, 2025

“Fox News discuss WSJ report about upcoming Trump EO banning US funding being used for gain of function!

If Trump’s team follows this trail, they will end up in Ukraine, at Hunter Biden’s Metabiota, with virologist Nathan Wolfe.

I’m 100% certain that Trump already knows this, and I’m also very confident that this upcoming gain of function EO, is part of the ongoing negotiations with Russia and Putin’s desire to hold the US/Ukraine/NATO accountable for their bioweapon production.

This is also what Fauci and Hunter’s pardons are about, hence why they begin in 2014, when Obama offshored gain of function research, his CIA/State Dept took over Ukraine via color revolution, and Hunter began securing US funds for gain of function research in Ukraine.

All roads will end up in Ukraine 2014. There you will find the key to the entire geopolitical chess board, the creation of SARS-CoV-2, and proof that US oligarchs, USGov entities, NGOs, engaged in crimes against humanity.

This is what we are headed for. This is the epicenter of the Deep State crime syndicate.”
