11 What was the English sweating sickness?
Between 1485 and 1551, England suffered five outbreaks of a disease so virulent that it could kill an otherwise healthy person in a matter of hours. Its favorite targets seemed to be wealthy adult males; children and elderly people were generally spared, while the aristocracy, members of professional classes, and the clergy seemed particularly vulnerable. The epidemics were short-lived but brutal, and in all but at most a handful of instances the disease did not spread beyond England.
Symptoms came on quickly; according to one account it came with “a sudden great sweating and stinking with redness of the face and of all the body” along with fever, headaches, and delirium. As many as half of those afflicted died within 18 hours. Anyone who made it through the first day would probably recover, but there was always a chance of reinfection.
Whatever the disease was, it vanished as mysteriously as it appeared. The last outbreak was in 1551, and apart from some potential minor appearances in the following decades, we haven’t seen it since—though a similar affliction, known as the “Picardy sweat,” popped up in France a century and a half later, causing nearly 200 small outbreaks before it too disappeared in 1861.
Many theories have been floated over the centuries. It’s been suggested that the English sweating sickness could have been a strain of typhus or influenza, or even anthrax. A more likely answer emerged in 1993, when a similar outbreak occurred in the American Southwest. This disease was caused by a hantavirus, leading researchers to speculate that a hantavirus was also behind the English sweating sickness and the Picardy sweat. Since hantaviruses can be spread by rodents, this could explain why large households and academic institutions were hit so hard by the disease: Well-stocked kitchens and pantries would have attracted mice and rats, and household staff could have aerosolized the virus in their droppings while sweeping. This might be the best solution we get; according to a 2014 paper published in the journal Viruses, a conclusive answer will probably never come.
12 What were the Nazca Lines for?
The Nazca (or Nasca) Lines are an array of geoglyphs carved into the coastal plain of southern Peru. Some are simply straight lines running in all directions, while others depict animals or people.
The lines were studied by researchers traveling on foot in the 1920s, but it wasn’t until commercial pilots began flying over the area in the 1930s that their full scope and elaborate design was revealed. According to UNESCO, the Nazca Lines are “unmatched in [their] extent, magnitude, quantity, size, diversity and ancient tradition to any similar work in the world.” They were built over the course of 1000 years, mostly by removing darker stones to reveal the lighter colored sand underneath.
The question that still puzzles researchers is, why were the geoglyphs made? For decades, some archaeologists believed they served as giant astronomical calendars, possibly linked to constellations or other celestial bodies. Recent research suggests a more earthly purpose: It now appears that the Nazca Lines might have been connected to rituals meant to appeal to the gods for rain. It’s possible they marked processional routes used by pilgrims as they traveled to temples, or that rituals were performed at designated points along the lines themselves.
13 What does the Voynich Manuscript say?

We don’t know when, where, or by whom the Voynich Manuscript was written, but there’s an even larger mystery to solve: We have absolutely no idea what it even says. The text—which is accompanied by astrological charts, illustrations of strange plants and naked, possibly pregnant women emerging from tubes and funnels or wading in green fluid, and other bizarre images—is composed in a writing system that doesn’t appear on any other document or object we’ve discovered so far. Some, including the late U.S. Army cryptographer William Friedman, believe Voynich was written in a synthetic language. Others think the manuscript uses a dead language such as proto-Romance, a precursor of vulgar Latin (though that claim was highly controversial), or that it could be written in some form of code or cipher.
Whatever the case, the book is divided into six sections: one devoted to botanical studies; one that is apparently concerned with astrological and astronomical matters; one that contains elaborate (and super weird) biological drawings; a section containing what Yale University, the book’s keeper since 1969, identifies as “cosmological medallions”; a section dedicated to pharmaceutical sketches; and a text-only portion devoted to what appear to be recipes.
Since bookseller Wilfrid Voynich found the manuscript in 1912, secreted in a bundle of medieval manuscripts he’d purchased from a Jesuit college, the book and its complicated history have been obsessively studied and analyzed. Carbon dating tells us the manuscript’s vellum was sourced in the early 15th century; pigments are consistent with that date as well, so that’s presumably when it was written. We know (or at least we think we know) it’s been owned by a Holy Roman emperor, an alchemist, a famed Bohemian doctor, and possibly Elizabethan occultist and court astrologer John Dee. If any of its previous custodians figured out how to read it, they kept it to themselves, but you’re welcome to give it a go if you’re feeling froggy.
14 Who built Stonehenge?
Since the 17th century, the popular imagination has linked Stonehenge to the Druids, but the timeline doesn’t shake out—the earliest historical references to the Druids date to the 4th century BCE, while Stonehenge was most likely built sometime between 3000 and 2000 BCE. But if the Druids didn’t build it, who did?
There might not be one simple answer. Construction of Stonehenge is thought to have taken place in several phases over the course of about 1500 years. The first monument at Stonehenge simply consisted of a circular earthwork that enclosed dozens of pits and possibly some rocks. The iconic stone slabs were added a few hundred years later—around the same time the Egyptians were building the pyramids at Giza. It’s long been thought that Neolithic hunter-gatherers got the ball rolling, but new evidence suggests Stonehenge’s builders were the descendants of Mediterranean farmers who migrated to northwestern Europe 6000 years ago.
Whoever Stonehenge’s builders were, their accomplishments were astonishing. We’re still trying to figure out how Stonehenge was constructed; some of the stones came from nearby quarries, but others were sourced from a Welsh site 200 miles away. We have no idea how people who didn’t even have wheels were able to transport the stones and hoist them into place.
15 Who killed the Black Dahlia?
History is full of unsolved murders, from the disappearance and presumed assassinations of King Edward V and Prince Richard, Duke of York, in 1483 to the Zodiac killings that terrorized the Bay Area in the 1960s. But none has captivated American popular culture quite like the horrific murder of Elizabeth Short, the young woman who will forever be known by the sensational nickname given to her by the press: the Black Dahlia.
Short’s body was discovered on January 15, 1947, in a vacant lot in Los Angeles. The brutality that had been visited upon her, both pre- and post-mortem, is still shocking: Her face had been grotesquely disfigured, her body cut in half, and some of her organs removed, among other acts of torture and mutilation. No one was ever arrested for Short’s murder, and the case eventually went cold. Recent theories have blamed everyone from Orson Welles to Bugsy Siegel.

The Los Angeles Police Department investigated dozens of suspects, including George Hodel, a surgeon whose social circles included surrealist photographer Man Ray and The Maltese Falcon director John Huston. Upon learning his father had been investigated for the murder, George’s son, Steve, decided to clear his dad’s name after his dad’s death in 1999, only to become convinced that George was indeed Short’s killer. Steve published his findings in a well-received and fairly convincing 2003 book, but later lost some credibility when he also accused his father of being the Zodiac Killer.
In 2018, British author Piu Eatwell also claimed to have identified Short’s killer. In her book Black Dahlia, Red Rose, Eatwell maintains that the culprit wasn’t one murderer but a group of conspirators that included a bellhop and former mortician’s assistant named Leslie Dillon (who had been one of the LAPD’s favorite suspects decades ago), nightclub owner Mark Hansen, and a man named Jeff Connors. Eatwell thinks the police were involved in a cover-up due to their connections with at least one of those men, though she allows that the case will probably never be definitively solved.

We used these big plastic buckets with 2 braided rope handles on either side to clean stalls on the track, then carry it out full of shit and pissy bedding to the manure pile to dump it. They were universally known as “shit baskets,” They took up less space than wheel-barrows in the shed rows and could be stacked when not in use.

That was a saying around the track, used a lot of times in reference to other situations…..it referred to putting your full abilities to use. Kind of…”well, you know it takes two hands to carry a shit basket.” Quite common on the track, meaning different things at different times.

WOLF MOON ON TRUMP’S APPOINTMENTS:
“I have been thinking about the Gaetz, Gabbard, and Rubio picks.
All of them are pleasing to me, but I wasn’t sure WHY. It wasn’t until Rubio was picked, that things started to make sense.
I’m starting to see patterns in what is happening.
Why Rubio? How will he deal with Ukraine/Russia and the Middle East? What’s his forte there?
But then I realized……
Rubio is a CHINA HAWK. He’s not lulled by China.
And then I realized…..
Waltz (new NSA) is a CHINA HAWK.
This is making sense now. This is starting to be a theme.
Who has been fucking with our elections? Who helped COVID happen? Who has helped our illegitimately-in-power Demmunist party be the PESTS that they are?
The EVIL CCP.
Same people who went after Bannon and Miles Guo, using our own – OUR OWN “justice” department. Yes. The hand of CHINA is behind our nasty “Just Us” Department.
Bannon is back, and he has to know who is behind our own stupid minions who took power for 4 years illegitimately.
Florida has been WAY ahead on fighting Chinese influence – particularly after China almost got a minion elected as governor (the gay black meth addict with a Maoist as his top advisor).
Tulsi Gabbard fits in with this. She is absolutely incapable of being gaslit on Russia, Russia, Russia – so she will not be misled as DNI by bullshitter IC silos under her – but she will still hold Russia to high standards, rather than pick fights with them.
Gabbard also not be gaslit by NATO and Atlantis Soros hacks, nor by Ukraine Zelensky money-laundering bullshit.
This means Gabbard is part of Trump’s tilt to the Pacific problems. And that is why the Navy has to be fixed. And that’s why Pete Hegseth, and that’s why external review to boot out the woke generals and admirals.
I think that after China and the American deep state launched the COVID operation, Trump said “NO MAS”.
China and its Pelosi / Newscum / Hokum minions are no longer evading scrutiny and response. Their Maoist Minion Kakala is defeated, to go the way of their gay meth-head minion Whats His Name.
Trump is going to deal with China, and any Dems who are still minioning for them.”

Gaetz resigns from Congress after AG nod
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) will resign from Congress “effective immediately” after being nominated to serve as attorney general by President-elect Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) announced on Wednesday.
The resignation — which was announced hours after Gaetz received the attorney general nod — was described by Johnson as a way to speed up the process of filling the House Republican’s seat to lessen the impacts of being one member down in the narrow GOP majority next year.

Why do you suppose Trump nominated Matt Gaetz for AG?
Sundance posted earlier his thoughts on the Gaetz AG nomination. I have a different opinion.
Let me start by assuming what might happen if Gaetz is confirmed? That’s where the clarity exists.
As Attorney General, Matt Gaetz will have ZERO problems raiding Garland at his home with a SWAT team in the wee hours of the morning. For what you may ask? Retribution?
He will arrest Garland for his contempt of Congress charges. The same contempt charges and violations of the law that Garland’s DOJ sent Bannon and Navarro to prison over. Mayorkas will be arrested, too.Christopher Wray would be next.

Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has gone wild on DEI: – 207 employees spread across 7 Offices of Minority Health – 294 taxpayer-funded staffers dedicated to “diversity, equity & inclusion.” The price tag for payroll alone exceeds $67 million, with a majority of these DEI hires making six-figure salaries. The latest HHS budget request mentions “equity” 829 times, with requests seeking to address “racial equity and environmental justice” at the forefront. An efficient government has no place for DEI bloat. Time to DOGE it.

I find it funny that most people talking about the AG pick confirmation can’t understand a simple timeline.
Trump and Elon went to the House this morning, where Trump gave Mike Johnson his endorsement for the speaker.
Elon stated he will primary anyone in gop that stonewalls Trump’s agenda
The gop senate elected thune (with Trump staying out of the race) who then promises to pass Trump’s agenda.
Trump visited Biden for 2 hours
Then, and only then after he talked to the speaker, got the majority leaders promises and spoke with Biden did Trump nominate Matt for AG.
The timing tells you everything.

SECRET: If you were listening closely you might have heard Trump mention a ‘secret’ he had with Speaker Johnson. It is abundantly clear that if Trump wants to put his dream team together he’s going to need to make a BUNCH of recess appointments. The Senate is unlikely to agree to adjourn so he can use his authority to adjourn both chambers as long as Johnson cooperates. Is that the ‘secret’ Trump mentioned?
Under Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, the President has the authority to adjourn Congress in the case of a disagreement between the House and Senate over the time of adjournment. It’s a power that has never been used, and its scope remains relatively untested. Here’s a quick summary of the conditions that would be needed:
One House Must Request Adjournment:
One of the chambers (in this case, likely the House of Representatives, led by Speaker Johnson) would formally seek to adjourn.
The Other House Must Refuse: The other chamber (in this scenario, the Senate) must then refuse to agree to this request. If this condition is met, it opens the door for the President to step in and resolve the disagreement by adjourning both chambers.
Once Congress is adjourned, the President could use the recess to make “recess appointments” under Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution. This would allow Trump to install his preferred Cabinet members without Senate confirmation.

EXCERPTS @ RedState: “The left was throwing fits on Wednesday as President-elect Donald Trump announced more appointments in his new administration….”
“…But the nomination that truly set some people off was Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for Attorney General.
That had Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) losing his mind and saying Gaetz had to be rejected. “First the Supreme Court granted a president immunity for weaponizing the Justice Department. Now Donald Trump wants to appoint Matt Gaetz as AG? Confirming him would mean affirming the worst potential abuses of DOJ. He must be rejected by the Senate.”
But our sister site Twitchy reported on what has to be one of the most interesting responses on the selection of Gaetz for Attorney General, a response that is likely to drive Democrats absolutely bonkers.
It comes from Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY). Massie was asked if he thought Gaetz would be confirmed by the Senate.
“GOP Massie says “recess appointments” when asked if GAETZ can get confirmed by the Senate “He’s the Attorney General. Suck it up!”
https://twitter.com/haleytalbotcnn/status/1856806886819205280
During the Senate leadership race which Sen. John Thune (R-SD) won, Thune promised to allow recess appointments. That could avoid needing Senate approval.
Recess appointments have been used in the past.
So we’ll have to see how it all spools out.
But I think it’s safe to say the nomination is having folks on the left throwing fits right now. They do not like being out of power and outmaneuvered.”

Our Take: You CANNOT fake that shit-eating grin on #OurBoyBlue.
When I coined that phrase, many thought me a mad man. Or, at the very least, they thought I was joking. Nothing could be further from the truth.
For any in the truth community who’ve spared a moment’s thought to the Q Drops, the plan to save the world, the Devolution Theory or anything in between, you’ve recognized that, without significantly more overt control over at least the PLAYERS on the game board, if not the whole board, it would have been impossible for patriots to position themselves and us in the current manner.
When considering where Joe Biden’s loyalties lie, consider the net effects he has visited upon the American zeitgeist these last four years. Biden was a human controlled demolition of the establishment power structure during his fake administration, while keeping all of Trump’s most vital tariffs and Executive Orders in place, quite like he’d never left.

Our Take: Let’s go bicameral on this one:
There is the obvious take of optimism, which is clearly expressed—even if unintentionally—throughout this article. I don’t think I need to write my normal-length take to explain it. The other way to look at this is a form of Russian Maneuver Defense; i.e. The Feigned Retreat.
As I put last week on Breaking History (the day after the Election), “It’s quiet… too quiet.”
Now, this silence may be golden. It may be a sign of their genuine fear and trepidation, as the cowards scramble to erase their social media posts and destroy damning evidence in their possession. Maybe even make arrangements to flee the country, as some have openly suggested.
But it could also be a ploy. It could be a tactic designed to make us lower our guard. We must remain vigilant and keep our heads on a swivel. We are nowhere near out of these woods, and this forest is dark and full of terrors.
We must keep in formation and tread carefully through The Swamp. Stay frosty, anons. — GhostofBasedPatrickHenry

Our Take: The legacy media’s reaction to incoming SecDef Pete Hegseth has been… weird.
“The Fox News weekend host?” Don Lemon said in a giggly social media post reacting to the pick. Others followed suit, confounded by 47’s selection, but backlash against these civilian elitist liars was swift and savage. Hegseth went to Princeton and Harvard and served in active combat with the Minnesota National Guard. By Wednesday morning, CNN updated their description of Hegseth to “Fox News host and veteran.”
As I attempted to understand this moment — I don’t watch Fox News or cover military affairs, and I was unfamiliar with Hegseth — I watched several of his interviews where he discussed his background and experiences, his philosophy and outlook.
President Trump is planning to streamline US bureaucracy in a year and a half — an 18-month project — and that is a massive undertaking. It would be impossible without a capable and high performing team; it will be difficult even with the best team imaginable, because the bureaucracy will resist and attempt to protect itself.
In realizing that Hegseth has a reputation within military circles for exposing bureaucratic waste, the pick makes sense. Trump has Musk and Ramaswamy running the D.O.G.E., but that is akin to a program office and success requires interagency cooperation. Your agency heads need to be mission aligned and fully focused. Fiefdoms must be demolished. Making America great can be the only goal. Hegseth seems right for this in the context of the bigger picture.
Trump is promising to deliver on rapid, transformative change for the American people. It’s hard not to get excited about this. A friend of mine said on X yesterday, “I’ve always been proud to be an American, but this is the first time I’ve been excited to be American.”
For real, though. The best is yet to come! — Ashe in America

Who wants to bet that President Trump makes it happen???
https://whatsthejam.com/world-news/woman-who-claims-to-be-trumps-oldest-supporter-says-im-desperate-to-meet-him-before-my-time-is-up/ (Videos @ the link)
“A 105-year-old woman who claims to be Donald Trump’s biggest supporter says she is hell bent on meeting him before “her time is up.” Rosalie Cianelli has followed politics her entire life and has always thought highly of Trump, who on 8 November became the US president-elect.
Rosalie, who will turn 106 next month, thinks she might be the businessman-turned-politician’s oldest supporter. And she isn’t afraid to fangirl him online. With the help of her granddaughter, Julie Cestaro, Rosalie regularly uploads videos about her love for Trump and has amassed quite the following.
“She says Trump was our only option to save America,” granddaughter Julie, who lives in Connecticut, told What’s The Jam. “She is a member of the Lions Club, a community club, and attends monthly meetings and participates in volunteer activities. Now that the election is over she’s hoping to meet Trump before her time is up.”
Rosalie sometimes gets millions of views as she shows off her patriotic decor and outfits, her MAGA cap and even a pair of socks with ‘Trump’ printed on them. And after a couple of her videos of went viral, someone from the Republican campaign team reached out to Rosalie with a very special gift.
In a clip, she can be seen receiving the gift as she sits in the passenger seat of her granddaughter’s car. Her son, Peter Cianelli, who also supports Trump, opens up the parcel outside of the car window. He says: “Donald J. Trump to Rosalie Cianelli. What could this be?”
He pulls out a red MAGA cap before Julie shouts out: “And it’s autographed.” Peter continues: “Oh my god, it is autographed. Look at this.” Rosalie appears to be completely speechless. She also received a letter from the President-elect, thanking her for her unwavering support.
Later in the clip, Rosalise says: “Dearest President Trump, I can’t thank you enough for this letter and the autographed hat. I love it. I’m going to frame my letter, and treasure my hat.”
Now Rosalise has made it her mission to see Trump face-to-face. She says she plans to continue making videos until she is lucky enough to meet him.”

“The U.S. Disease Epidemic and MAHA—Americans Are Not Feeling Well”
Robert W Malone MD, MS, Nov 14, 2024
Author: David Marks – Republished by permission from the Report from Planet Earth substack
(Note: A version of this article was published in the Orlando Sentinel)
EXCERPT: “Despite the huge amount of appropriated funds and the strenuous efforts of many individuals working in healthcare, Americans have increasingly suffered from a range of acute and chronic conditions over recent decades. As an influential member of the Trump administration, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will have the opportunity to begin a reversal of this trend. He is developing plans to revamp the Federal agencies that regulate the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
Mr. Kennedy has presented incontrovertible data about the state of our health. He says the first step towards change is reforming policies and restoring compromised government oversight.
It will take a concerted effort to convert a system that has allowed an array of degrading health conditions and an avalanche of human suffering. The statistics compiled by reliable scientific sources reveal details of this staggering crisis.
~ Six out of ten adults in America are living with a chronic illness. Seventy-four percent of American adults are overweight or obese. Rates of kidney disease and autoimmune conditions are going up. Cancer rates among young people are rising.
~ One-third of American teens are taking a prescription drug and nearly 30% are pre-diabetic. More than 18% of adolescents have nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. In 2020, 77% of young adults didn’t qualify for the military based on their health scores, forcing the military to lower its standards.
~ Health problems of young Americans begin at an early age even as they receive vaccines to protect them from illness. The CDC currently recommends at least 70 doses of 18 different vaccines from infancy until age eighteen, yet children have never had more acute and chronic ailments. These vaccination protocols urgently need re-evaluation.
The increasing use of prescription drugs by all Americans presents a dire warning. However, due to the unprecedented influence of lobbyists, elected representatives have allowed the pharmaceutical industry rampant freedom to sell questionable products.
Washington has not solved the problem of the revolving doors between Big Pharma and government regulators. This is the primary reason federal agencies are paralyzed by corporate interests and remain negligent in their protective roles.
Americans are also barraged with a one-sided view about the benefits of pharmaceuticals. The United States is one of two countries in the world where prescription drugs can be advertised. This inappropriate promotional effort has a secondary consequence; news and information about pharmaceutical issues cannot be trusted when coming from networks dependent on this huge source of income…..”

“Gov. DeSantis: Work to set Special Elections will begin ‘immediately’ as Matt Gaetz, Mike Waltz move to Donald Trump admin”
“It will take time to fill the seats, but the Secretary of State has been ordered to expedite the process.
Florida’s Governor hasn’t always rushed to set up Special Elections, but on Thursday, he is saying two Congressional seats will be filled with all possible speed. “I’ve instructed Secretary of State Cord Byrd to formulate and announce a schedule for the upcoming special elections immediately,” posted Gov. Ron DeSantis to the X social media platform.
Byrd says the Department of State “will have this schedule posted soon” and is “working to ensure these special elections are conducted as soon as possible.”
The seats in question in Florida’s 1st and 6th Congressional Districts were held, respectively, by Matt Gaetz, who will need Senate confirmation to become Attorney General, and Mike Waltz, who will advise President-elect Donald Trump on national security.
DeSantis is congratulating the Congress members in question, as well as U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, who will be Secretary of State pending Senate confirmation. He has yet to congratulate Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, an architect of his 2018 election with whom DeSantis split soon thereafter.
DeSantis is making an executive decision to expedite the filling of two Republican seats in a closely divided House of Representatives. But even beginning “immediately” takes time, including time for qualifying. With Primary and General Elections also required, the process to fill the positions will take weeks, even if expedited, given the realities of election administration.
The Governor’s promise of swift action sets a contrast to the slow walk taken when filling a seat held by a Democrat a few years back.
When U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings passed away in office, DeSantis allowed nine months to pass between his death and the Special Election to replace him. The Governor is a former member of Congress, and understands keenly how important the balance of power is in the chamber.
Looming over this process is whether Gaetz can be confirmed, given various Republican skeptics in the Senate who doubt Gaetz will be confirmed due to reputation issues stemming from a Justice Department probe into sex trafficking allegations that began under Trump’s former Attorney General Bill Barr and ended without charges during the subsequent administration.
Additionally, a House Ethics Committee inquiry was still underway Wednesday into whether Gaetz engaged in sexual misconduct or illegal drug use, and whether he granted special favors to romantic interests. While the resignation terminates that probe, it takes one rogue staffer to leak a draft copy of the report, meaning that as was the case with the Justice investigation, the Panhandle Republican could be tried in the court of public opinion.
Meanwhile, DeSantis still has not declared his intentions regarding his appointment for the Rubio Senate seat.
Republican National Committee Chair Lara Trump is campaigning for the opening, saying that she has lived in Florida for three years and would “love” to replace Rubio. Other names closer to DeSantis’ seem like obvious considerations also, including but not limited to Attorney General Ashley Moody or even First Lady Casey DeSantis.”

“Even at low levels, early bisphenol A (BPA) exposure is hazardous to later health, study shows”
Pamela Ferdinand | November 14, 2024
EXCERPT: “Early exposure to bisphenol A (BPA) may increase your risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and obesity later in life, even in small doses, a recent study has found.
BPA is a type of chemical widely found in consumer and industrial products, especially in processed food and food packaging. An endocrine disruptor, it is known to cause hormonal problems that contribute to chronic disease as you age.
The study, published [September 2024] in the Journal of Hazardous Materials, is the first of its kind to assess the relationship between BPA exposure and cardiometabolic health outcomes from childhood to adolescence, using a large variety of health markers.
Cardiometabolic health refers to the overall health of your heart and blood vessels, and your body’s ability to process nutrients, regulate blood sugar, and maintain a healthy weight.
“Our results point to the need to reduce exposure to BPA in the early stages of life,” say the researchers, led by Sofia Almeida Costa at the Institute of Public Health at the University of Porto (ISPUP) in Portugal.
To gauge its effects on the body from dietary sources over time, Costa and her colleagues followed 3,138 children and adolescents, ages 4 to 13, from a prospective Portuguese birth cohort.
Bisphenol A exposure most common through diet, plastics
Food and beverages are considered the most significant source of human exposure to BPA. Ultra-processed foods, for instance, heavily rely on plastics for production and packaging, and chemicals can migrate into food from food processing equipment and packaging, among other ways……”

I thought it wasn’t “official” yet that it would be done but I could be wrong. It was just an announcement on Fox earlier.

they keep counting ballots–some the PA SCOTUS has already ruled should not be counted–like the misdated or undated ones–trying to trigger a recount and we are now in that .05 % (???) area that automatically triggers a recount. But it will cost us a million to recount.

will have attorneys and observers in every county in the state to ensure only lawful ballots are counted. Again. Protect the Vote!

“Matt Gaetz may scare Democrats more than President-elect Trump: Gaetz doesn’t seem to care. He has bigger things on his mind.”
Lee Williams, Nov 14, 2024
“Last January, former U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz [R-FL-1] introduced H.R. 374. It was a short bill that became known as the “Abolish the ATF Act.”
“The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is hereby abolished,” Gaetz’s bill said. It was simple, really. Unfortunately, it received the same response as other bills Gaetz had submitted, such as H.R. 9534, the National Constitutional Carry Act, or H.R.3142, the Stand Your Ground Act of 2023. The bills were introduced but never received any further attention.
Gaetz didn’t seem to care about his lost legislation. He had bigger things on his mind. Gaetz will always be known best for leading the fight that dumped the former Republican Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, last year. But for those who really know the 42-year-old former congressman who lives in Fort Walton Beach, Florida with his wife Ginger, this too was just par for his course.
Gaetz’s critics were never the silent type. Now, they’ve become slaphappy and completely unglued. Axios reported there were gasps in the room coming from Republican lawmakers when Gaetz name was first announced.
“It must be the worst nomination for a cabinet position in American History,” John Bolton told NBC’s Meet the Press. Gaetz is “totally incompetent” for the AG position, Bolton said, adding, “This is a nomination the Republican Party would oppose.”
The BBC seemed to get Trump’s Gaetz decision better than the rest of the traditional media. They said Gaetz’s “bombastic approach” meant that he has no shortage of enemies, including some of his fellow Republicans.
Gaetz recent resignation from the House brought a quick halt to the internal investigations that had plagued him for the past few years, and House Speaker Mike Johnson referred to Gaetz as an “accomplished attorney.”
To be clear, Gaetz has denied every allegation made against him, which are now moot.
Critics be damned
Matt Gaetz was not available Thursday. Calls to his former congressional phone numbers went straight to voicemail. Additional phone numbers were not answered either.
Gaetz is nothing new or divisive to longtime Floridians. In fact, he’s exactly what we want from our public servants. A longtime radio host told me Thursday morning that Gaetz’s now former constituents cared about two issues: “Guns and guns.” I would strongly agree.
Gaetz cares more about the Second Amendment than anyone else in Congress — especially the Democrats. So, of course they are going to attack him personally. In fact, Gaetz is currently attracting as much if not more hate and discontent from the left than President-elect Donald J. Trump.
Unfortunately, much of the press Gaetz now faces is about what you’d expect, especially the stories from NBC. A story published by NBC News Wednesday titled, “Justice Dept. employees stunned at Trump’s ‘insane,’ ‘unbelievable’ choice of Matt Gaetz for attorney general,” sums up most of the angst that characterizes the legacy media.
“OMG,” a current senior Justice Department official said. A second department official called the selection “truly stunning,” and a third labeled it “insane,” the story claims. Of course, none of the alleged Republicans were named.
I’m pretty confident that Gaetz isn’t bothered by NBC’s stories or those of other likeminded reporters. After all, he’s got as they say in his section of Florida’s panhandle, bigger fish to fry.
Matt Gaetz has strongly supported the Second Amendment since his first day in Congress, and he will get President-elect Trump’s backing for his new job regardless of what the Democrats choose to do, even if it takes a recess appointment or some other type of maneuver.
Florida and now the entire country need Matt Gaetz.”

Annnnnd….here they go!!!
Just The News: “Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., on Thursday requested that the House Ethics Committee provide the report regarding former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz to the upper chamber.
Gaetz resigned from Congress Wednesday evening after President-elect Donald Trump tapped him to become the U.S. Attorney General. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., confirmed his resignation.
Durbin chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee and requested the House Ethics Committee “preserve and share” its report on Gaetz where he faces allegations of illicit drug use and sexual misconduct.
“The sequence and timing of Mr. Gaetz’s resignation from the House raises serious questions about the contents of the House Ethics Committee report,” Durbin said, according to The Hill. “We cannot allow this valuable information from a bipartisan investigation to be hidden from the American people.”
“Make no mistake: this information could be relevant to the question of Mr. Gaetz’s confirmation as the next Attorney General of the United States and our constitutional responsibility of advice and consent,” he added.”

“Germany: Police raid pensioner’s house and drag him to court after he retweets meme calling Green minister an ‘idiot.’ Massive police repression in Germany as war against free speech and basic human rights ratchets up under left-liberal government”
Remix News Staff, November 14, 2024 15:40
EXCERPT: “After a 64-year-old pensioner retweeted a meme of Green Economy Minister Robert Habeck, in which Habeck was described as an “idiot,” Bavarian police raided the man’s house and arrested him. The crime has even been recorded as a “politically motivated right-wing crime.”
The man is accused of distributing a photo of Habeck via retweet, where Habeck is described as an “idiot.” The Bamberg prosecutor’s office indicates that this constitutes a federal criminal offense of “hatred.”
“At a time that cannot currently be specified in more detail in the days or weeks before June 20, 2024, the accused published an image file using the account that shows a portrait of Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck with the title ‘Schwachkopf PROFESSIONAL’, based on the advertising campaign of the Schwarzkopf company, in order to generally defame Robert Habeck and to make it more difficult for him to work as a member of the federal government,” read the prosecutor’s statement.
Schwachkopf generally means “idiot,” in German. The rival Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has reposted the meme on X, writing in a statement:
“While Habeck presents himself as a ‘people-friendly’ candidate for chancellor, his critics are being relentlessly pursued. They do not shy away from conducting house searches on sleeping families just because the father of the family shared this Schwachkopf graphic. This is what would happen to Germany under a Chancellor Habeck: the complete restriction of freedom of expression by a children’s book author who displayed maximum incompetence for three and a half years, but still feels called to greater things,” wrote the AfD….”

Re: Recess Appointments
EXCERPT: “On March 4, 1789, the first U.S. Congress convened at New York City’s Federal Hall. It got off to a bit of a rocky start: Only 22 of the 81 members of the Senate and the House of Representatives made it to New York in time to attend the first day in session, and it took another month for enough congressmen to arrive to form a quorum, allowing voting to begin. The first session ran through September 29, at which point the congressmen left for a three-month recess.
It was during this first congressional recess that President George Washington made the country’s very first recess appointments. The U.S. Constitution provides that the Senate must approve presidential appointments. But at a time when cross-country travel by horse prevented senators from quickly convening, the framers of the Constitution decided to add a clause allowing the president to make temporary appointments during a congressional recess.
Recess appointments became controversial as modern travel and longer congressional sessions have eliminated some of the reasons that the framers created the exception in the first place. These appointments drew increased scrutiny in the 21st century, with the Supreme Court ruling on them for the first time in 2014…..”

“The Stage is Set for Trump to Obliterate the Deep State”
Clandestine, Nov 14, 2024
“Here’s why it will be different this time around:
In Trump’s first term, he was extremely hamstrung by the corrupt MSM and the Mueller/Russia hoax lingering over him.
The public still largely believed the media at this time. Trump couldn’t lift a finger without the Dems/MSM losing their minds, and the public believed it. Trump couldn’t fire anyone or do anything without the threat of being labeled a dictator or Russian asset. It was a near impossible environment to implement his policy, because the Deep State had a complete monopoly on public perception. Not anymore.
This time around, Trump no longer has the Mueller investigation lingering over him, he is now the single most vetted man in world history, and they found nothing on him. Also, now that the corporate media have also lost all credibility and lost control of public perception, their cries of “dictator” will fall on deaf ears. They’ve cried wolf too many times.
In addition, with Trump’s convincing and historic victory, he has the mandate of The People to implement the MAGA agenda, and he has a better much better cast of people around him. And thanks to Elon purchasing X, The People are far more awake now. They see what’s going on.
My point is, that Trump’s position this time around is EXPONENTIALLY better than last time. The environment is more suitable for him to actually do what needs to be done, without the threat of the public being riled into a violent frenzy by the Dems and their corporate media lapdogs.
Now that the MSM is dead and their mind-control no longer works, Trump can comfortably carry out his term without having to walk on eggshells or worry about backlash.
The stars have aligned. Trump has control of all 3 branches, the optics, the political ammunition, the precedent, public approval, everything. It’s now or never.”

“The Great Dangers of Statins: Examining the questionable risks and benefits behind these massively overprescribed drugs”
A Midwestern Doctor, Nov 14, 2024
Story at a Glance:
The more I study science, and particularly medicine, the more I come to see how often fundamental facts end up being changed so that a profitable industry can be created. Recently I showed how this happened with blood pressure, as rather than causing arterial damage, high blood pressure is a response to arterial damage that ensures damaged arteries can still bring blood to the tissues and, in turn, rather than helping patients, aggressively lowering blood pressure can be quite harmful. In this article, I will look at the other half of the coin, the Great Cholesterol Scam—something that harms so many Americans it was recently discussed by Comedian Jimmy Dore….”

I didn’t know what it was either but I found an explanation: “The name 4B is shorthand for Korean words starting with “bi” which translates to “no,” according to a paper on the movement published by researchers at South Korea’s Yonsei University.
Bihon: The refusal of heterosexual marriage
Bichulsan: The refusal of childbirth
Biyeonae: The refusal of dating men
Bisekseu: the rejection of heterosexual sexual relationships as a whole”
