    1. Morning! Still dark here, too – temp is at 54. I haven’t seen the black calico again on the patio the last couple of days since I’ve stopped leaving the food dish out. Once Wheezer eats his tuna and departs, I’m bringing it inside. My furnace is starting to make the same clicking and winding-up sounds again and they still don’t have the part yet….crap. At least it’s not supposed to get really cold again for a few days.

    MI Voter rolls have 500,000 more voters on their voter rolls then voting aged citizens.

    The RNC has sued Jocelyn Benson to clean up those voter rolls. Benson publicly dismissed the concerns and said that this was the RNC’s attempt to lay the groundwork for overturning the election.

    Michigan is expected to clear 606,8001 inactive voters from the voter rolls…in 2027.

    Is it just me or is this insane?

    Maher believes that this election is boiling down to one key demographic: “People who think with all of his [Trump’s] flaws, he’s still better than far-left insanity.” The big question for voters when it comes to Harris, Maher explained, is, “Are you part of far-left insanity?”

    Maher pointed out Harris’s past support for taxpayer-funded sex change operations for prisoners. He said such a position is a litmus test, and voters are wondering, “Is there anything your fringe can suggest that will ever make you say, ‘No, that’s f—king ridiculous’?”

    Now that Trump is surging in the polls, Maher confessed that he’s feeling the pressure after publicly predicting a Harris victory. “Ever since I put down my marker on you and said you’d win, and I wasn’t even worried about it,” he said. But now, “Everyone, everywhere [is]… asking me, ‘Bill, are you sure?’ No, I’m not f—king sure!” he exclaimed. “What am I, cresting? Of course, I’m not sure.”

    Perhaps the biggest incentive for Kamala to get her act together is the looming possibility of an angry Joe Biden. Maher warned that if Harris loses, “she’ll never hear the end of it from Joe, ‘I told you I was the only one who could beat him [Trump]’ Biden.”

    And nobody wants that story haunting their political career for eternity.”

    1. i don’t think so! I think they’re more attractive than a sloth–they creep me out!
      we saw moose on the bike trip to Maine. they are very dangerous at night. their fur doesn’t reflect light well (if at all) and we were warned everywhere we went about them being int he road. you can’t see them till you’re on them.
      we saw them mostly in the day though–lotta lakes and small stream where we were and they were frequently in the water. saw one mama and a calf. hubby wanted to see a big guy, but the ones we saw had smaller antlers.

I’ve turned it off again – that worked last time…..sigh….I swear these appliances have a hotline to the service departments and KNOW when a call for service has been made. Likewise, I think they KNOW when the service people aren’t working, like on week-ends!!!

    One person with a camera, supervising 14 people in the task of moving a log into a pile 15 feet away, is government work in a nutshell.

    You know that scene in the first “Avengers” movie? The one where our intrepid heroes ‘assemble’ for the first time, the camera panning around them in a circle as they all take a fighting stance to save the Earth?

    Did these 14 guys and gals feel like that when they got together to move this single log? I mean, mix in a wheelbarrow and you could move at least half a dozen of those suckers in one shot. Using one person. Suffice it to say, viewers on X weren’t nearly as impressed with the effort as the CBP apparently was.

    NEW BRAUNFELS, TX — A large Venezuelan gang was completely wiped out this week after trying to take over a local Buc-ee’s location.

    According to eyewitnesses, the gang, which was formerly based in Denver, had grown too confident after finding it incredibly easy to take over several apartment complexes. The violent criminals were soon put in their place when they marched on a Buc-ee’s, guns blazing, only to find themselves greeted by a world-class force of polite employees, roasted nuts, savory pulled pork, delicious fudge, and heavily armed Texans.

    “They never knew what hit them,” recalled Shawn Erickson, who had stopped at the Buc-ee’s and saw the entire shootout. “They rolled up and tried to start pushing people around and take control of the place. The lead guy barely got half of his first sentence out of his mouth before somebody smoked him. I’m not sure what they expected. This isn’t Denver. All of the customers and half of the employees were armed.”

    Word of the incident had already spread throughout the migrant criminal community, leading to what experts expected to be a drop in crime — at least around any Buc-ee’s location.

    “These fellas better think twice,” said Fred Alcott, a local cattle rancher who claimed to have taken down at least six gang members himself. “Buc-ee’s may have the cleanest restrooms and the widest selection of jerky in the world, but when you mess with the bull, you get the horns. Horns of hot lead. God bless America.”

    At publishing time, all Buc-ee’s locations had been declared safe zones from migrant crime.

No, I’m not kidding. The rubber stamp for Chuck Schumer and his cohorts is claiming to have “bucked Biden” while standing behind Trump’s trade policies. 

    That’s odd. I’ve been assured by Kamala Harris that the Biden administration was never supportive of a ban on fracking. I guess Casey didn’t get the memo. The other mentions are also laughable. While it is true that Casey pushed for tariffs on China, he only did so deep into the current election cycle. In other words, it was clearly a political move meant to create some daylight between himself and a deeply unpopular presidential administration. 

    So what does this tell us? For one, it tells us that Casey legitimately fears the momentum McCormick has been building. A Democrat wouldn’t put out an ad talking about bucking his party’s president while bragging about working with Trump unless he knew things were too close for comfort. I mean, come on. Democrats compare Trump to Adolf Hitler…..”

    ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A Las Vegas couple face charges of assault, battery, and stalking after harassing a Trump voter outside his home earlier this month and running over his foot as after he pulled a gun. 

    According to Las Vegas police, 38-year-old Jennifer Lund and 45-year-old Timothy Parks were driving around while blaring the song “F*** Donald Trump” (presumably the 2016 ditty released by rapper YG) when they stopped their vehicle in front of a home displaying a Donald Trump sign. Lund later told police it wasn’t the first time that she’d parked her car and blasted the tune with the intent of bothering the residents, but when she did so on the afternoon of October 13th, she got more of a reaction than she bargained for.

    “Parks parked his Tesla in front of the residence with Lund in the passenger seat… [playing] the song ‘[Expletive] Donald Trump,’” documents said. Seconds later, three men approached the vehicle — with one man later punching Parks. 

    Detectives obtained surveillance video, which they said showed three men outside the car at the time, documents said. One of the men then took out a gun and pointed it at the car. The car then drives off, running over one man’s foot, the video shows according to police.

    At least seven bullets impacted the car, police said. “Lund stated since [the people] put the Trump sign in their yard, she feels like she has every right to tell them how she feels about it,” police said in court documents. “Lund advised this was not the first time she went to that house to play the ‘[Expletive] Donald Trump’ song. Lund states she hates Donald Trump and hates every person who represents or votes for him.”

    What a sad, pathetic, person. While Lund may have a First Amendment right to blare her Trump-hating song as she rides around the streets of Las Vegas, that doesn’t mean that she can harrass Trump supporters inside their home whenever she feels like it. For that matter, I’m sure some of the undecideds and Harris voters on the street weren’t too happy about having an expletive-filled song echo through their neighborhood with kids around. 

    RedState’s Brittany Sheehan reports that one of the three men who approached Lund and Parks in Parks’ Telsa told police that Lund was just playing “F*** Donald Trump”, but was screaming at him as the pair drove up. At one point Parks was punched by one of the men, which is when Parks put his car in gear and started to drive away, only to reverse his Tesla and back up over the man’s foot. 

    The person who fired the gun said he felt his life was threatened, so he fired. He did not face charges as of Thursday.

    According to police, Lund harassed the homeowners several times before. 

    Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Rebecca Saxe set bail for both Lund and Parks at $20,000. Both defendants remained in custody as of Thursday.

    While Lund and Parks are the only ones facing charges at the moment, that could change as police continue their investigation. If the surveillance video that captured the incident showed any of the three men acting as the initial aggressor, however, my guess is that they would have been charged along with the anti-Trumpers who thought it would be fun to harass their political opponents. 

    I’m glad that no one was seriously injured in this incident, but as Sheehan writes at RedState, “[e]xtreme rhetoric is disrupting the peace as citizens prepare for an election that seems to be locked in a dead heat. As we approach the election, voters must prioritize their safety and well-being.” 

    That includes being able to protect yourself from those ready and willing to inflict violence on their political opponents, but it also means not harassing, stalking, or assaulting those who disagree with you in the first place. No matter how much Lund or Parks hate Trump or despite his supporters, they had no right to harass or intimidate the homeowners for simply showing their support for a candidate. It would have been better had they realized this before their arrest, but perhaps this will be a teachable moment for the Harris fans.”

    ENTIRE ARTICLE: “I just found out an alarming statistic showing that 49% of Evangelical Christians are claiming they are not going to vote in this election. I am pleading for Christians to vote in this election. This is appalling.

    Christians are offended by Trump because he said a few bad words and his personality made them uncomfortable but when George Bush pretended to be a moral man while killing millions in the Middle East as a mass murderer, they were appeased. This is astonishing when you really break it down. The issue here is this: Many Christians don’t realize that the people who are the most evil are the same exact ones pretending to be good, wholesome, and moral.

    But behind the scenes, they are beyond sick. You’d think they would be the ones to understand this given the Bible itself says that Satan appears as an angel of light. He doesn’t always come to you and say, Yeah ‘I’m the bad guy and you must resist me.’ It’s just mind-blowing to me that so many Christians can be spiritually dull to the war happening right in front of their eyes just because the mainstream media told them to hate Donald Trump.

    This is the same mainstream media that told them that the war in the Middle East was extremely moral (it massacred millions, never ended), that never asked a single question about Epstein Island, that covers up every sin the establishment makes without hesitation. It’s no wonder they cannot see the Forest from the trees. They are being blinded to the truth.

    So Trump said a bad word or he didn’t have the most moral life? So what? He took a bullet for this country, by a lone gunman whose origin the government is obviously covering up, the media persecuted him for years in a Russia collusion treason hoax, and he has put his life on the line to save the trajectory of this country. And if you’ve done extensive research like I and many people have these last eight years, he has been viciously fighting the sickest people I’ve ever had the displeasure of learning about.

    Trump is the bravest man I’ve witnessed and, to me, that is a moral characteristic worth a thousand fake politicians pretending to be on your side while secretly making deals, and backstabbing you behind the curtain. Courage is a character trait seldom found in today’s modern society, yet Trump has this in spades.

    I am appalled at how asleep the church can be if we have 49 percent of evangelicals not voting. These are the people who are supposed to believe in the spiritual forces of wickedness and God himself and yet they can’t see that battle being waged right in front of their face because the corrupt politicians told them nice things and didn’t send out a mean tweet.

    How can a Christian vote for unfettered abortion, and human sacrifice? It is unimaginable for someone who reads the verse in Jeremiah: I know the plans I have for you, I made you and formed you in the womb. And then vote for someone who wants sex changes for children and all you can access death. If it wasn’t for Trump, Roe V Wade would have never even have fallen in the first place given he was able to implement Supreme Court Justices.

    But it’s more than that. The people at the top of this system. They are telling you how nice they are while worshiping the very forces of darkness and 49% of Evangelical Christians do not seem to realize this.

    If you expect all of the people God uses to be morally perfect, then you are gravely mistaken. It was David himself, who God said was a man after His own heart, who had many issues with women and flaws that held him down. Yet he was mighty, brave, and did spectacular things with God.

    I’m tired of Christians being so blind and I had to rant about this to someone. History is going to look fondly upon Donald Trump. He has been on a campaign to save this country from people so wicked, I don’t even want to write down what kind of things they do in the dark here at this moment. So many of you already know the truth of this.

    But share this with an undecided Christian if you know one and perhaps it’ll change their mind. You don’t have to like Donald Trump’s personality but you do need to wake up. I am pleading with the Christian population to vote and support the man who has been saving children like no President has in modern history.

    Once you understand this, you cannot help but be moved. Please vote!”

    “Hackers took over robovacs to chase pets and yell slurs”

    ENTIRE ARTICLE @ TheVerge: “Someone gained access to Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni robotic vacuums across several US cities earlier this year and used them to chase pets and yell racist slurs at their owners, reported ABC News in Australia this week.

    The outlet spoke with multiple Deebot X2 owners who say their Deebot X2s had been hacked in May, including Minnesota lawyer Daniel Swenson, who said he was watching TV with his family when a noise “like a broken-up radio signal or something” started coming from the robot’s speaker. He said after he reset his password and rebooted the robot, it began again, only this time the sound was clearly a voice — he guessed a teenager’s — yelling slurs.

    ABC News lists other, similar accounts from owners in El Paso and Los Angeles, the latter of which involved someone using a Deebot to antagonize a dog, yelling at and chasing it. Ecovacs told the outlet in a statement that it had “identified a credential stuffing event” and blocked the IP address it originated from. The company said it “found no evidence” that usernames and passwords were collected by the attacker.

    Researchers demonstrated a flaw last year that let them bypass the Deebot X2’s PIN entry to gain access to the vacuum. Ecovacs says in its statement that it has resolved that, and that it also plans to “further enhance security” with an update in November. It’s not clear whether that would correct a Bluetooth vulnerability that ABC News exploited for a report earlier this month.

    Cloud-connected smart home devices have led to stories like this for years. Sometimes it’s the result of hacks, others simply compromised credentials. Sometimes, it’s bad software showing you another owner’s camera feed, as a little treat. Issues like these can feel inevitable when so many smart home devices require a persistent internet connection to function, especially for those companies that don’t offer easy ways to report security vulnerabilities.”

  28. LEWIS COUNTY, New York (WWNY/Gray News) – Authorities in New York say a missing man’s dog never left his side. According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, when the body of 39-year-old Cody Johnson was found on Wednesday, his pit bull was right next to him. Johnson’s dog Afton acted as his service animal and refused to leave his deceased owner’s side.

    Lewis County Sheriff Mike Carpinelli said the four-day search for Johnson came to an end when a volunteer found his body near a camping spot they were familiar with. He is believed to have died as a result of the cold.

    “I think it’s in a way a little comforting knowing he wasn’t alone. The dog that’d been with him for quite a while was his companion and stayed with him for all those days and evenings,” Carpinelli said.

    According to Carpinelli, Afton initially refused to let searchers get close to Johnson, but he relaxed after being given biscuits and water. The dog is now being taken care of by a family friend and will soon be turned over to family members coming from North Carolina.”

          did i telly out he story of my kid and his birthday wish? every year he ask to go skydiving for his birthday from about 11 yrs or so. I told him yes, but we (him and I) will do it for for 21st birthday. every year he’d say that’s what he wanted and every year I said we have to wait. His 21st birthday came and i said what weekend do you want to do it? I am excited to jump!

  39. Thought you’d like to know, Pat:

    “Hello, everybody—

    My sister called me today. She told me about the visit she had with our brother. Her husband was with her, thank God.

    My brother is now in Palliative Care at the nursing home. PT continues for his legs but other therapy has stopped. My brother is failing. He’s still fighting the dementia but his body is giving out. My brother is 6ft 4in tall. He’s lost 30 pounds since entering the nursing home because he has little or no appetite. He had made some progress at the start of his time there, but has regressed. He now weighs 120 pounds. He is only 75 years old.

    He has dementia. He also has a large “Kennedy ulcer” that developed on his back after the fall he had around Independence Day at his home. The Kennedy ulcer (sorry to be graphic) literally ate through his back down to his spinal cord and severely damaged his central nervous system. My brother is unable to walk and likely never will walk again. Even though the ulcer is healing (itself a miracle), the damage is permanent.

    Just before his fall, my brother had been to the doctor for a check up. He was in good shape, just apparently needed to gain some weight. He was to all accounts doing OK, interacting with his adult children and his grandchildren, etc. Then his life suddenly unraveled.

    I believe my brother’s body and brain alike were incrementally damaged by the COVID-19 shots he started taking in early 2021. His most recent shot was last Thanksgiving. By July of this year, his body and brain could no longer fight the damage these “vaccines” were doing.

    My sister said that when she and her husband left my brother yesterday, they made their Farewells to him (without letting on to him.)

    The nursing home has taken my brother’s pension from the IRS. Took his life savings. Took his care insurance. Now his daughter has to jump through the hoops to get him “re-admitted” to the nursing home under Medicaid—if she can make this work. My brother wants to stay in this nursing home. He feels safe and comfortable there. The nursing home staff love him. But the faceless bureaucrats at Medicaid can deny what they want. God help my brother is he to be moved to some other nursing home that is “Medicaid compliant.” And God knows what type of care he would get if that happens.

    My brother is now in the hands of the Almighty God.

    DAMN THE PEOPLE WHO DEVELOPED THEM.

    DAMN THE “MEDICAL EXPERTS” WHO DUPED/COERCED PEOPLE INTO TAKING THEM.

      we went out for a drive to talk to my mom. then we decided to grab dinner out. on the way home, there was this thing in the sky…like a jet but almost motionless in the sky. it didn’t leave a stream behind it–more like a little tail. then we lost it behind a mountain and couldn’t find it again!

        1. maybe.
          last night while we were watching tv–the house was fairly dark, i saw something incredible bright in the sky to the north…definitely not a star–it was too big. hubby and i watched it hover for a good 5 minutes and then start to move south coming closer to us. maybe it was a drone? can they fly at night? as it got closer we could see a blinking red light and some weird flashing light.

  45. I am adding a short daily prayer to the board. I would invite each of you, if you wish, to also add one or maybe two of your own liking. I do not want to stifle anyone but please limit yourself to one or two religious postings. here’s one I found that I liked.
