    1. Good morning, Miss Pat!

You need one of those light bulb hats above on dark mornings in the Fall and Winter.

Or one of those nice warm LED beanie hats with a rechargeable battery.

They make ’em with stereo too.

      1. Morning GA!
I bought one of those hats for hubby!! in the winter when he was still traveling to work, if it snowed, he’d need to walk to the woodshed where he parks the tractor. he left at 6 so he’d be out there at 5 in the cold and darkness.

  1. Morning, Pat! Went to sleep too early – woke up @ 5 am and couldn’t go back to sleep. Yes, I did get all of those correct, of course!

69 this morning, partly cloudy – some windy days coming up supposedly. Yuck! And humid as all get out! Wheezer was “talking” today, rubbing his head against my leg – but, as usual, when I start petting him, he tries to grab my hand with his claws out and teeth. Tomcats! SMH

I’ve discovered I need to pick the lopes even earlier. This one is also a bit mushy…..but slightly more flavorful. I’ve got 6-7 still left to experiment with – by next year, I should have it nailed!

    Strange things are happening…

This person, Edward Heckman, wrote an article dated August 30, 2024

He wrote that bank records revealed Thomas Crooks from the 1st assassination attempt, made unusual payments to two individuals… Including Ryan Routh, from the Second Assassination Attempt
—— he even connected Maxwell Yearick as a CIA Operative who trained Ryan Routh…

    But here’s the weird part…

I used the way back machine and found the that this information WAS NOT part of the original article; meaning, this information was added recently.

Stinks of three letter agency involvement…

This means Routh was put in position as a ‘contingency operator’ by his handlers on the supposition that Trump, during a trip to Florida, **MIGHT** decide to go play golf at the Trump International course. When it was leaked to the handlers that Trump just **had in fact** decided to go play golf… Routh was activated. This explains WHY he was already outfitted and in the area waiting in case he was called on by his handlers to go ‘live’.

Here’s how you know they’re panicking and they’re at the stage they’re throwing plans together on the fly using literal morons and are epically screwing it all up:

They were in position to INSTANTLY KILL CROOKS after the shots were fired at Trump at the Butler rally.

Nobody was there to take Routh out if it went bad.

    And it went bad.

Now they have Routh alive and they have his phone.

If they were in control, they wouldn’t be pulling this desperate, dumb shit. They’d just let Trump meander on to his eventual ultimate defeat in the election.

    Ain’t life grand?

  5. Just The News: “The House of Representatives on Monday night alerted the United States District Court for the District of Columbia that it intended to file an amicus brief on behalf of IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler.

The House said it would file a “friend of the court brief” on behalf of the whistleblowers if their joint request to dismiss a lawsuit from Hunter Biden against the IRS, where he alleged the whistleblowers unlawfully disclosed his personal tax information, is granted.

The House of Representatives on Monday said they would get involved because Congress has a “significant interest in whistleblowers providing information to Congress regarding waste, fraud, abuse, and other misconduct at federal agencies.”

They also argued that allowing Biden’s lawsuit would discourage other whistleblowers from coming forward, and therefore harm the House’s ability to conduct oversight of the executive branch.

The House said it would continue monitoring the case.”

  6. “President Trump needs Tier One military protection — Delta, DEVGRU operators far superior to Secret Service.”

    Lee Williams, Sep 17, 2024

(Photo courtesy U.S. Department of Defense).

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “President Donald J. Trump and the entire country have been lucky — twice — but the problem with relying upon luck as an executive protection strategy is that luck can eventually run out.

The United States Secret Service had their chance to protect our 45th and possibly 47th President. They failed miserably, two times, and a good man was murdered and three people — including the former president — were wounded because of their ineptitude.

Rather than ordering immediate firings, all the Secret Service offered an angry public was excuses. President Trump’s protective detail was “redlined” they claimed, suffering from too much overtime. As a result, a handful of unfit and inexperienced DHS agents were seconded to the President’s protective detail, but only after watching a two-hour webinar. One of the DHS agents couldn’t even holster her Glock.

While senior FBI and Secret Service officials dither, dodge and dick around over who is to blame, President Trump remains protected mostly by sheer luck and a lot of prayers.

    This. Must. Change.

Trump’s sleepy Secret Service detail should be fired and quickly replaced by blue and green guys from JSOC’s Special Mission Units.

Delta and DEVGRU Tier One operators are infinitely superior to the poorly trained clock-watchers in the Secret Service. They’re faster, fitter and far more professional. They shoot with surgical precision and operate regularly on a zero-fail mission basis — a standard to which the Secret Service can only claim to aspire.

Key to our operators’ success is their training, which includes executive protection and just about everything else, and they don’t deploy alone. Both Delta and DEVGRU have their own highly specialized support elements, which include air assets, drone operators, cyber warriors and intelligence analysts, who are all experts in their fields and far superior to anything the Secret Service could ever dream of bringing to the fight.

It is clear the left will never stop weaponizing unstable individuals with their heated anti-Trump rhetoric. History has shown they’ll watch their mouths for a week or two, but then resume their “threat to democracy” hogwash en masse, as if on cue.

The Congressional investigations into the first assassination attempt will take months and likely blame only low-level supervisors who have already been allowed to retire and keep their federal pensions. Meanwhile, President Trump remains at risk.

By the Grace of God, he survived two assassination attempts. Delta and DEVGRU operators could guarantee there will never be a third.”

Still experimenting with my lopes – just picked the last jumbo and I still have 7 or so small ones to practice on. I’m going to take a couple of them and try freezing it – cut it up into squares and freeze it. It’s supposed to be as simple as that….I’ll let y’all know how that works out.

Some days I make pink or purple smoothies with yogurt and berries. I have some ground flax and chia seed too. Used to add whey, but it’s too expensive now.

    JD Vance:

Yesterday, Donald J. Trump nearly lost his life. An armed gunman waited for him in the bushes. He brought a go-pro camera to record it. A secret service agent spotted the barrel of a gun through a fence and shot at the gunman. The gunman fled. He was caught. And now we slowly learn about him and his motive.

President Trump is my running mate, and my friend, but he is more importantly a father and grandfather to people who love him very much. I want him to have many more years with his family. (And selfishly, I’d like many more with my own.)

I admire the president for calling for peace and calm. The rhetoric is out of control. It nearly got Steve Scalise and many others killed a few years ago. It nearly got Donald Trump killed twice. But I want to say something about yesterday’s news, and how it illuminates the difference between vigorous debate and violent rhetoric.

Here is what we know so far: Kamala Harris has said that “Democracy is on the line” in her race against President Trump. The gunman agreed, and used the exact same phrase. He had a Kamala Harris bumper sticker on his truck. He was obsessed with Ukraine’s “fight for Democracy” and absorbed many unhinged views about the Russia-Ukraine war. HIs name is Ryan Routh, and he donated 19 times to Democrat causes and zero to Republican ones.

How do you think the Democrats and their media allies would respond if a 19-time Republican donor tried to kill a Democratic official? It’s a question that answers itself. For years, Kamala Harris’s campaign surrogates have said things like “Trump has to be eliminated.” And how have their media allies responded to the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump in as many months?

NBC News called the attempted assassination a “golf club incident.” The LA Times told us “Trump Targeted at Golf Club.” The USA Today’s top of the fold headline is “Hope in America,” and they published a preposterous letter to the editor arguing that Trump “brings these assassination attempts on himself.” CNN’s Dana Bash–who just yesterday bizarrely accused me of inciting a bomb threat–said today that Harris campaign rhetoric didn’t motivate Routh even though he echoed their rhetoric explicitly.

PBS’s weekend show perfectly illustrates the double standard of Kamala Harris’s media friends. After spending 30 seconds on the second assassination attempt on President Trump, they then focused on the real danger: me and President Trump, who are, according to them, personally responsible for bomb threats against Springfield. Of course, I repeatedly condemend those threats. And reports today suggest they came from a foreign country, not–as the media suggested–a deranged Trump fan.

The double standard is breathtaking. Donald Trump and I are, by their account, directly responsible for bomb threats from foreign countries. Why? Because we had the audacity to repeat what residents told us about the problems in their town. Meanwhile, Harris allies call for Trump to be eliminated as the media publishes arguments that he deserved to be shot.

This seems like a double standard. But at a deep level, it is entirely consistent.

Consider Springfield. Citizens are telling us that there are problems. These include the undeniable truths of higher car accidents, unaffordable housing, evictions of residents, overcrowded hospitals, overstressed schools, and rising rates of disease. They also include the infamous pet stories–which, again, multiple people have spoken about (either on video or to me or my staff).

Kamala Harris’s first strategy was to ignore these people and their concerns. Yes, she had prevented the deportation of millions of illegal aliens, and some of them made their way to Springfield. But it was a small town with no voice. Some of the local leadership even loved the cheap labor. So the suffering of thousands of American citizens went ignored.

Their next move with these stories is censorship. In Springfield, a psychopath (or a foreign government) calls in a bomb threat, so they blame that on President Trump (and me). The threat of violence is disgraceful of course, yet the media seems to relish it. They cover a bomb threat, but not the rise in murders. They cover the threat, but not the HIV uptick. They cover the threat, not the schools overwhelmed with new kids who don’t speak English. They cover the threat, not rising insurance rates or the car accidents that caused them. They cover the threat, not the failures of Kamala Harris’s leadership.

The purpose is not to turn down the rhetoric. If anything, covering the bomb threats gives whoever makes them exactly what he wants: attention. The purpose is distraction and shame. How dare you talk about the problems of Haitian migration in Springfield? You’re endangering people, simply by discussing the problems of Kamala Harris’s policies. It’s a form of moral blackmail, designed not to make anyone safe but to shut everyone up.

Springfield is the most recent, but hardly the most egregious example. There was the Hunter Biden laptop story, censored by BigTech. And who can forget that anyone who didn’t support Kamala Harris’s Ukraine policy was drenched in the blood of Ukrainian children. That last one appears to have had some effect on Routh–the most recent would-be assassin. The message is always the same: don’t you dare express an opinion on the public affairs of your nation. The message is: shut up.

This is the difference between debate–even aggressive debate–and censorship. It is one thing to attack Kamala Harris for “destroying the country” and quite another to say that President Trump should be “eliminated.” It is one thing to criticize overheated rhetoric, and another to say that a former president has invited an assassination on himself. It is one thing to say that Donald J. Trump’s arguments about the election of 2020 are wrong; it is another thing to attempt to remove him from the ballot over it.

It is one thing to say that pets are not, in fact being eaten, and another thing to say that anyone who disagrees is trying to murder people. Dissent, even vigorous dissent, is a great tradition of the United States. Censorship is not.

For the next 7 weeks of this campaign, I will vigorously defend your right to speak your mind. I believe you have every right to criticize me and Donald J. Trump, even if you say terrible or untrue things about us. But when I ask you to “tone down the rhetoric” it’s not about being nice–our citizens have every right to be mean, even if I don’t like it–or empty platitudes.

Instead, I’m asking all of us to reject censorship. Reject the idea that you can control what other people think and say. Embrace persuasion of your fellow citizens over silencing them–either through the powers of Big Tech or through moral blackmail.

I think this will make our public debate much better. But there’s something else. Reject censorship and you reject political violence. Embrace censorship, and you will inevitably embrace violence on its behalf.

The reason is simple. The logic of censorship leads directly to one place, for there is only one way to permanently silence a human being: put a bullet in his brain.

Yesterday, Donald J. Trump nearly lost his life. An armed gunman waited for him in the bushes. He brought a go-pro camera to record it. A secret service agent spotted the barrel of a gun through a fence and shot at the gunman. The gunman fled. He was caught. And now we slowly…

  8. EXCERPT: “A veteran FBI agent said Monday that he would be “shocked” if intelligence agencies did not already have would-be Trump assassin Ryan Wesley Routh on their radar for his travel and apparent efforts to recruit foreign fighters for Ukraine.

“I asked about it in almost every case I had, especially in counterterrorism Division at the FBI when I was there, what did the other intelligence agencies know about this American citizen out on the battlefield and who was recruiting in Afghanistan?” Jeff Danik told the John Solomon Reports podcast Monday.

“These are target countries, high criteria intelligence collection points for—are legitimate collection points—for our CIA, our NSA and our five eyes partners,” he said.

Danik is a 28-year veteran of the FBI with experience in domestic and international terrorism investigations, as well as white collar crime. The former agent said one of the first investigative steps would likely be for the FBI to contact other intelligence agencies about what data, if any, they had collected on Routh.

“So an American traipsing around in that battleground is going to perceive focus, I would be shocked if one of the intelligence agencies didn’t have his devices compromised,” he said. “All that data and collection is going to be classified, of course, but my question is, does it even exist? Do we know who he was contacting, who is contacted with it?” ……”

  9. SMDH – they never learn!!!

EXCERPT: “(The Center Square) — The New York City Council has approved a controversial plan to study the impact of slavery on the city and consider reparations for the descendants of enslaved people.

The measure, approved by a majority of the Democratic-controlled Council, calls for the creation of a “truth, healing, and reconciliation” task force to study the city’s historical involvement in slavery and its present-day legacies and determine if any monetary reparations are necessary.

Overall, the legislation is expected to cost the city’s taxpayers about $2.5 million, according to a fiscal analysis of the bills. A source of funding for the study has not been identified.

“The legacy of slavery and systemic racism has impacted all facets of our society today, and it’s important that our city recognizes and takes steps to redress these longstanding harms,” City Council President Adrienne Adams, a Democrat, said in a statement.

The proposal must still be signed by Mayor Eric Adams, who has previously signaled his support for the legislation. In recent comments, Adams called the proposal “another crucial step towards addressing, systemic inequities, fostering reconciliation and creating a more just equitable future for all New Yorkers.”

Backers of the plan argue that while New York abolished slavery in 1827, some businesses, including banks and other financial institutions, continued to benefit from the slave trade for many more years. They say the impact of those business practices is still impacting Black Americans nearly two centuries later….”

  11. Just The News: “The suspect in a second alleged assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump wrote and self-published a book last year, in which he encouraged Iran to assassinate the former commander-in-chief.

Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested on Sunday and charged on Monday for the alleged assassination attempt, which was thwarted by the Secret Service. Routh allegedly stalked the former president at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday and had aimed his gun at Trump before he was spotted by Secret Service.

The incident is the second such assassination attempt on the former president this year, after he was hit in the ear by a bullet at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

Routh has expressed a wide range of political views, showing support for Nikki Haley, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, and even Trump in the past, according to the Associated Press. Routh has also attempted to recruit fighters for Ukraine, and told Iran that it could kill Trump.

“You are free to assassinate Trump,” Routh wrote to Iran in his book “Ukraine’s Unwinnable War.” He also described the former president as a “buffoon” and a “fool” for his role in the January 6 riot, and for leaving the Iran nuclear deal in 2018.

Routh also admitted in the book that he voted for Trump, and therefore is partly to blame for “[the] child that we elected for our next president that ended up being brainless.”

Although Routh admitted to voting more conservative in the past by supporting Trump, his opinion more recently appeared to favor Democrats, including encouraging Americans to vote for President Joe Biden in April, because “DEMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose.”

Routh also urged Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in July to visit the other people who were injured and the family of the man killed in the July 13 assassination attempt, claiming Trump would not do anything for them.

Trump has spoken with the other victims and the family of the firefighter, Corey Comperatore, who was killed. He also had Comperatore’s uniform on stage during the Republican National Convention.”

  12. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/would-be-trump-assassin-palled-around-neo-nazi-azov-brigade-ukraine-what-did

Our Take: So not only was this loser trying to recruit “freedom fighters” from Afghanistan to go fight the Russians in Ukraine, but he was also hanging out with literal Nazis? He even appeared in one of their propaganda videos? Hah!

Should we add that the New York Times interviewed him last year for doing this? Why would the New York Times do that? Interview (glorify) a guy who hangs out with actual Nazis?

Does that story have anything to do with this story from 2022?

You think this guy was the CIA’s contact on the ground to go meet up with their ISIS goons and get them to Ukraine?

Here’s a completely separate story from last week.

But wait, it gets better. In the ZeroHedge article, the author quotes a source, who asks, “Who was he working with in the US government that was allowing him to do this?”

Here’s one guy from the Biden administration that we can prove was on the ground in Ukraine with Routh: Chef Jose Andres.

Back in 2022, two months before the ISIS story was reported, Chef Andres was appointed Co-Chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition, the White House announced Wednesday.

So why the hell was Chef Andres taking a picture with Routh in Kiev?

As hilarious as that sentence may be, it is a very serious question, which demands an answer. And let’s not discount the fact that Routh was vocally calling for Iran to kill Trump, and when that didn’t materialize, he apparently took matters into his own hands. Amazing. — GhostofBasedPatrickHenry

  13. Germany angers European neighbors as it tightens migration along all land borders

UK Leader Starmer Seeks to Learn From Meloni’s Tough Migration Policies at Meeting in Rome

Our Take: It’s important to recognize that the criticism of Germany’s decision to impose border security with certain nations, in an attempt to crack down on illegal migration and its burdens, is that other EU countries do not want to assume Germany’s share of that burden across Europe.

Poland is pushing back, and ‘both Greece and Austria have warned that they would not accept migrants rejected by Germany.’

The EU nation states’ burgeoning resistance — to what McKinsey and the WEF described as ‘The Great Migration’ — is not without cause. For over a decade, tolerance and empathy ruled European migration sentiment, but the ‘approach to migration has toughened in recent years, in light of a surge in arrivals – particularly from the Middle East and Ukraine – as well as terror attacks motivated by Islamic terror.’

A surge in unchecked migration has led to an increase in terror? That can’t be true because this article was written by CNN, and CNN repeatedly reports that resistance to unchecked migration is rooted in racism.

While European countries are criticizing Germany’s decision due to the additional burden that it will impose on their sovereignty and resource allocation, recall that US media has been labeling AfD as white supremacists since their campaign earlier this year, which resulted in a globalist panic-inducing electoral victory.

This spin will likely continue in the US media in the wake of Germany’s immigration decision. From the article:

‘The coalition government seeking to counter the country’s burgeoning far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), which is known for its explicitly anti-immigrant and anti-Islam agenda.’

    Muh, racism.

If EU countries turn off the migrant faucet, do we think migration will stop? Or will it shift to more accepting and tolerant locations? Locations where border security is racist and all one needs is a dollar and dream to access basic income and all the government services.

As I write this from Italy, its notable that ‘Meloni pledged a crackdown on migration after taking office in 2022, aiming to deter would-be refugees from paying smugglers to make the dangerous Mediterranean crossing to Italy.’ Illegal migration in Italy is down 60% YTD over 2023.

AfD is now following in Meloni’s footsteps, and the UK is exploring their options. The lesson for Americans: It’s possible. It won’t take long. It simply takes will. Only one player in the American theater has demonstrated that will.

Our Take: The awakening is accelerating and is accompanied by increasing courage. Hearing mainstream, non-political voices, with massive platforms, speak boldly about the regime is refreshing:

“They want us divided. They want us separate. They want us compartmentalized in our little niches, in our own little groups… to keep us distracted from holding them accountable,” Scott Stapp said recently.

I saw Creed at Red Rocks in 1998 and, while they’ve always been loosely associated with conservative values, Stapp openly speaking about ‘them’ wanting to ‘divide’ us, is both refreshing and undeniably true.

They want to keep us divided and fighting each other. We combat that intention by uniting across externally-agitated divides and shining a light on ‘them’ and their sinister psyops. As

Burning Bright talks about, we are experiencing a crisis cascade crescendo, accompanied by deep state panic patterns. The only way out is through. And the only way to win is not to play their games.

Expect the panic to continue as more normies of every stripe and caste stand up and speak out. Accelerate. — Ashe in America

  17. Red State: “New York real estate investor Steve Witkoff is speaking on social media and on Fox News about his reaction to the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump’s life, and he says he’s “blessed” to have been there because he witnessed what a real leader looks like. Appearing on Sean Hannity’s show, he said even a figure as high-profile as Trump should have at least some moments leading a normal life:

Yesterday was quite a day. I actually feel blessed that I was there yesterday. And the reason I feel blessed, Sean, is that I got to see what it’s like for my dear friend to live his normal life. His normal life, which is punctuated by two attempts to assassinate him in the last 60 days, being vilified since he left the presidency, falsely accused [and] harassed.

It seemed like an idyllic day, Witkoff remembered—before things suddenly turned south:

Here he was yesterday on a beautiful day, just trying to get some rest and relaxation like all the rest of us, and there’s a man with an…assault rifle who’s attempting to kill him. It was terrible. But I got to see… I got to see a man who was stoic, courageous, cared about his friends’ safety first before his own life. He was an inspiration to everybody who was around him yesterday.

I wish the whole country could have witnessed what happened yesterday because they would have seen a real leader.

Democrats used increasingly incendiary rhetoric against President Trump in the days, weeks, and months leading up to the two assassination attempts:

Kamala Harris — repeatedly: “Trump is a threat to our democracy and fundamental freedoms.”
Kamala Harris: “It’s on us to recognize the threat [Trump] poses.”
Kamala Harris: “Does one of us have to come out alive? Ha ha ha ha!”
Joe Biden: “It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.”
Joe Biden: “I mean this from the bottom of my heart: Trump is a threat to this nation.”
Joe Biden: “There is one existential threat: it’s Donald Trump.”
Joe Biden: “Trump is a genuine threat to this nation … He’s literally a threat to everything America stands for.”
Joe Biden: “Trump and MAGA Republicans are a threat to the very soul of this country.”
Joe Biden: “Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic … and that is a threat to this country.”
Tim Walz: “Are [Republicans] a threat to democracy? Yes. … Are they going to put peoples’ lives in danger? Yes.”
      Gwen Walz: “Buh-bye, Donald Trump.”
Rep. Nancy Pelosi: “[Trump] is a threat to our democracy of the kind that we have not seen.”
Rep. Jasmine Crockett: “MAGA in general — they are threats to us domestically.”
Rep. Dan Goldman: “He is destructive to our democracy and … he has to be eliminated.”
Disgraced Harris staffer TJ Ducklo: “Trump is an existential, urgent threat to our democracy.”
Top Harris surrogate Liz Cheney: “Trump presents a fundamental threat to the republic and we are seeing it on a daily basis.”
Rep. Steve Cohen: “Trump is an enemy of the United States.”
Rep. Maxine Waters: “Are [Trump supporters] preparing a civil war against us?”
Rep. Maxine Waters: “I want to know about all of those right-wing organizations that [Trump] is connected with who are training up in the hills somewhere.”

Rep. Stacey Plaskett: Trump “needs to be shot.”
Rep. Steven Horsford: “Trump Republicans are a dangerous threat to our state.”
Rep. Gabe Vasquez: “Remove the national threat from office.”
Rep. Mike Levin: “Donald Trump is a threat to our nation, our freedom, and our democracy.”
Rep. Eric Sorensen: “He is the greatest threat to law and order we have in our country.”
Rep. Greg Landsman: “The threat is not over.”
Rep. Pat Ryan: “Trump is an existential threat to American democracy.”
Rick Wilson, The Lincoln Project: “They’re still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump.”
Former Harris-Biden staffer Kate Bedingfield: Democrats should “turn their fire on Donald Trump.”

That doesn’t even include the dangerous rhetoric against President Trump spewed by deranged Democrats during the 2016 and 2020 elections, the impeachment hoaxes, and the Summer of Love.

Meanwhile, the deplorable commentary from Democrats and the Fake News in the aftermath of the latest assassination attempt has been even worse:

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries: “We must stop [Trump].”
Rachel Vindman, wife of disgraced impeachment hoax ‘witness’: “No ears were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.”
Rep. Mikie Sherrill: “This really seems to be the confluence of two very bad things going on in the Republican Party … the attempts to divide, to enrage the population.”
State Rep. Steven Woodrow (D-CO): “The last thing America needed was sympathy for the devil but here we are.”
Lester Holt, NBC Nightly News: “Today’s apparent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail. Mr. Trump, his running mate JD Vance, continue to make baseless claims…”
Alex Witt, MSNBC: “Do you expect there to be calls from within the Trump campaign to [tone it down]?”
Phil Bump, The Washington Post: “Another chance for Trump to frame Democrats as dangerous has emerged.”
Bill Kristol, The Bulwark: “Vance … incite[s] potential violence with lies.”
Ron Filipkowski, liberal commentator: “Was the golf course guy with the gun a migrant?”
David Frum, The Atlantic: “Trump and his running mate have spent the past week successfully inciting violence … today they want to present themselves as near-victims of violence.”
Jonathan Chait, New York Magazine: “Trump is a threat to democracy, and saying so is not incitement.”
The Cincinnati Enquirer: “The former president, Donald Trump, brings a lot of this stuff on himself.”
      USA TODAY: “Hope in America.”
      NBC News: “Golf course incident.”
Bloomberg: Trump “seizing on assassination attempt.”

Nonoriginalrants: “Pretty sure that’s not gonna turn out the way he thinks….Harris’ batshit crazy babysitter, aka Tim Walz (you know, the guy who let Minneapolis burn and had police shoot paintballs at people sitting on their porches during covid lockdowns) thinks it’s a good idea to accost people at the grocery store and have ‘hard discussions’ about the elections.

He also wants people to ‘discuss their policies’ (which we don’t know and from what I’ve seen are completely at odds with most folks’ thoughts and ‘stand on their record’, which is absolutely abhorrent and destructive, again, IMO.

Honestly, from what I’m seeing and hearing in talking with people is that those who indicate that they are voting for Kamala aren’t really Kamala supporters.  They just personally don’t like Trump.  They don’t know anything about policies.  They don’t understand that the problems that they expound on ad nauseum are caused by the present administration and will be exponentially exacerbated if Harris gets in.  If they’re being honest, they know she’s a mess.  But they can’t get over the propaganda.

All I know is that it’s likely that people at the grocery store are pissed off at prices and would probably not be in the mood to discuss the cause.  They already know–it’s Biden/Obama/Harris.  And the only way to fix it is a Trump administration with a Republican, non RINO House and Senate.”

EXCERPT: “Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on federal charges at a hotel in New York City Monday amid an ongoing sex trafficking investigation. The disgraced rapper was taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations at the Park Hyatt New York following a grand jury indictment.

“The hip hop mogul has fully cooperated and voluntarily came to New York in anticipation of the charges,” a source told us Monday.

Page Six learned he was being processed at 26 Federal Plaza in the Big Apple. The charges are currently unclear. Combs is expected to be arraigned in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday.

    —————-

Combs, 54, has been at the forefront of sexual misconduct allegations ever since his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura sued him for rape and physical abuse in November 2023.

Ventura, 38, claimed the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper routinely abused and mistreated her, including allegedly forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes, over the course of their 10-year relationship.

    —————–

The “Me & U” singer also alleged Combs raped her in 2018 before they officially called it quits. The exes settled the lawsuit privately one day after it was filed.

At the time, Combs denied the allegations against him. However, surveillance footage surfaced in May of the music mogul physically abusing Ventura at a hotel in March 2016…..”

Hundreds of Hezbollah members wounded in Lebanon when pagers explode, security source says

      https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/dozens-hezbollah-members-wounded-lebanon-when-pagers-exploded-sources-witnesses-2024-09-17/

BEIRUT, Sept 17 (Reuters) – Hundreds of members of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, including fighters and medics, were seriously wounded on Tuesday when the pagers they use to communicate exploded, a security source told Reuters.

A Hezbollah official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the detonation of the pagers was the “biggest security breach” the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel.

The explosions took place amid heightened violence between Israel and Hezbollah, who have been engaged in cross-border warfare since the Gaza war erupted last October in the worst such escalation in years.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military to Reuters enquiries about the detonations.

  24. Huh…interesting story I just watched on Mysteries at the Museum – feel free to use it if you like, Pat:

“Robert Garrett, descendant of a prominent Baltimore family, was the 20-year-old captain of the track and field team at Princeton University when he was encouraged to participate in the revival of the Olympics by his professor of Classics, William M. Sloane. Dr. Sloane had attended the 1894 international meeting held in Paris to resurrect the ancient Olympic Games and was actively recruiting athletes to attend.

Reflecting on his experience years later, Garrett recalled: “Having noticed in the program the throwing of the discus, I decided in youthful fashion to have a try at it merely for the sake of competing in an event that belonged to antiquity…” But, up to that time, the discus throw had never been part of track & field in the US, and the size and weight of the discus were unknown in America.

In order to prepare for the event, Professor Sloane and Robert Garrett reached back into history by consulting 2nd-century Greek author Lucian’s works, and drawings on ancient Greek vases, to make an educated guess about the dimensions of the discus and how it was to be thrown. Lucien had described the discus as: “a lump of brass, circular and not unlike a small shield.”

A Princeton blacksmith was contracted to create the discus, and the result was a 12-inch disc that weighed an incredible 20 pounds. But Garrett abandoned the idea of entering the discus throw after trying out the “unwieldy” 20-pounder and almost dropping it on his foot.

When the US Team departed for Europe on March 20, 1896 aboard the North German Lloyd steamship S.S. Fulda, they were unaware that Greece still used the Julian calendar, not the Gregorian calendar used throughout most of Europe and the West. So, instead of arriving 12 days early, which would give them time to practice, they arrived in Athens on April 5, 1896, the day before the first day of competition.

Garrett toured the Panathinaiko Stadium that afternoon and discovered a regulation discus that someone had left behind in the stands; it was actually only 8-inches wide and weighed less than five pounds. He resolved to give the event a try after all.

During the first day of competition, Garrett just barely made it to the finals, where he was pitted against the Greeks’ champion discus hurler. His first two attempts went wildly off course. But his third and final throw stayed true to its course and flew 95 feet and 7.5 inches, beating the Greek champion’s throw by more than 7 inches.  Garrett had won!

Overall, Garrett finished first in two events (discuss and shot put) and second in two others (running high jump and running broad jump) during those first modern Olympic Games. Then, in the 1900 Olympics in Paris, he placed third in shot put and standing triple jump.”

The Vigilant Fox, Sep 17, 2024

“This means that Ryan Routh can be prosecuted for attempted murder, not just federal charges.

The Governor explained his rationale, saying, “In my judgment, it’s not in the best interest of our state or our nation that the same federal agencies that are seeking to prosecute Donald Trump [are] leading this investigation, especially when the most serious, straightforward offense constitutes a violation of state law, but not federal law.”

DeSantis has directed state agencies “to move expeditiously and to provide full transparency to the public.”

He emphasized that the public deserves to know the truth about the assassination attempt, stating, “In addition to holding the suspect accountable, the public deserves to know the truth about how this assassination came to be.”

  27. “11 New Security Measures The Trump Campaign Will Be Implementing After Assassination Attempt”

    Sponsored · Sep 16, 2024 · BabylonBee.com

    Article Image

Brought to you by: Trump Trendz

“Following what the FBI confirmed was a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, the Secret Service has reportedly been hard at work collaborating with the private security team at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home to increase security.

Through interfacing with a vast network of inside sources, The Babylon Bee has obtained the following list of new security measures the Trump campaign will be implementing immediately:

    1. Security will now be required to yell “Any assassins out here?” before bringing Trump outside: Also, all would-be assassins will be required to say “Yeah, I’m here.”
    2. Post “Gun-Free Zone” signs around Mar-a-Lago: Everyone knows a good “Gun-Free Zone” sign is the most surefire way to eliminate all threats.
    3. Obtain a restraining order against the FBI: This will remove the number-one threat to Trump’s safety.
    4. All Secret Service agents will be replaced by Kyle Rittenhouse: He’s all you need.
    5. Build a wall around Mar-a-Lago and make Mexico pay for it: Even Democrats agree that walls around private homes are effective.
    6. Laura Loomer will now be chained in the yard outside the front door of Trump’s house: No one will want to go anywhere near that crazy loon.
    7. Have 10-foot-tall Barron Trump search for snipers from his high vantage point: From up there, he can see things that normal human beings would never be able to spot.
    8. Triple the size of Trump’s current Secret Service detail to six people: The previously allotted security team of two ladies just isn’t cutting it.
    9. Strongly secure all doors by wedging chairs under the doorknobs like they do in the movies: If it’s good enough to work in every drama from the 70s and 80s, it’s good enough to work today.
    10. Give Trump’s Secret Service agents real guns from now on: In hindsight, the airsoft and bubble guns may be putting Trump’s life in danger.
    11. Politely ask the Harris-Walz campaign to stop referring to Trump as Hitler and calling him an existential threat to democracy: Nobody thinks this will actually happen, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

Once these countermeasures are in place, the American people can rest assured that attempts on Trump’s life will be knocked all the way down to one or two per week, tops.”

  28. “Report: Trump Furious As Would-Be Assassin Fired Gun Right During His Backswing”

    Sports · Sep 15, 2024 · BabylonBee.com

    Article Image

MAR-A-LAGO, FL — Former President Trump was reportedly furious at today’s would-be assassin for rudely opening fire right in the middle of his backswing.

“Assassins these days, they have no manners, it’s terrible,” said a clearly irritated Trump. “They have no respect for the game.”

According to sources, Trump had just started his backswing when the potential assassin’s AK-47 began firing, completely throwing off the swing’s rhythm. “Reassure the people that I still hit an excellent ball, pin high,” said Trump. “In times like these, America needs to know that I hit a beautiful draw, really a gorgeous draw, to about twelve feet out for birdie — with the ball sitting below the hole, just like I planned. I could take a mulligan, totally legal when people try to kill you, but I’m not going to.”

At publishing time, the Trump campaign had issued a statement assuring Americans that he had sunk the birdie putt despite three more assassins lobbing grenades at him while he putted.

  30. “The Media is the Enemy of the People: Most Media Companies Aren’t Actual Businesses”

    Erik Carlson, Sep 17, 2024

EXCERPT: “Shortly before a second assassination attempt was made on Donald Trump’s life, Trump posted on Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Some could have read this as a hateful, if not immature statement by a 70-something-year-old billionaire towards a 30-something-year-old billionaire. Some may have read this post and rolled their eyes and thought, ‘why, why must you always draw negative attention to yourself?’

What must be understood is that everything Trump says has meaning. Everything he communicates has a purpose. When Trump appears to be drawing negative attention to himself, or doing what some think is putting his foot in his mouth, he is actually setting a trap or drawing attention to something or someone he wants the light shown on.

It’s time people who think they know better, that continue to want to give Trump advice on how to present himself, simply shut up. Trump knows exactly what he is doing. When will you finally figure this out? Every time he seems to have made a misstep, it doesn’t backfire on him, it explodes in the Deep State’s faces. How many times does this have to happen before it sinks into that brain of yours?

When Trump said he hates Taylor Swift, in all capital letters and with an exclamation point, he is actually drawing attention to her. I believe when he says he hates Taylor Swift, he is actually saying he hates the machine that created her. Taylor Swift is an American intelligence agency creation. Created to influence, if not brainwash young girls and effeminate men.

Swift is a role model to many future childless cat ladies. Twenty, thirty and forty years from now, many lifelong Swifties, at this point middle-aged women who chose not to get married, and not to have kids, will be sitting in their studio apartments listening to old Taylor Swift music celebrating with a Margarita at 11am on a Sunday morning, convincing themselves they are thankful they chose the path in life they chose to live. No responsibilities, no one to tell them it’s too early to be drinking and they have too many cats.

Obviously not everyone who idolizes Taylor Swift is going to end up here, but enough will. Enough will be influenced in some way.

Notice all the talk about cats lately. It’s not a coincidence. It all ties together.

You see, Trump doesn’t hate Taylor Swift—the empty shell of a human being—he hates what she represents, and the influence she has on millions of young women. He hates the Cabal system that created her. He hates that girls are being influenced and manipulated into pursuing unfulfilling lives. He hates the media and the people who control and manipulate it.

    Bread and Circuses

The expression ‘Bread and circuses’ goes back to the Roman Empire. The expression was coined by a Roman poet named Juvenal. He used this expression to describe how the Roman Empire kept the people under control. The leaders believed if they could keep the people fed and entertained, they would be more easily controlled. If one lacks hunger pangs and is preoccupied, it’s amazing what they can tolerate without standing up and demanding change.

The Cabal still uses this tactic very successfully today. They give welfare, food stamps and other financial assistance to the poor—just enough to keep them dependent on the government and to keep them from rising up against the system. The working and middle class, they keep preoccupied and entertained through TV, movies, video games, music and sports. But today, it goes beyond just distraction to include manipulation and mind control. It’s interesting, polling shows that the elite consume much less media than the lower and middle class.

While bread and circuses were very successful during the Roman Empire to keep the citizens under control, it lacked a few things that we now have today. Today, there is a better understanding of the human mind, and how to manipulate it…..”

  31. “The Five Lies Corporate Media Perpetuates to Steal the 2024 Election: They will do anything they can to convince you that a Kamala Harris victory is real and totally not the result of massive, widespread voter fraud.”

    JD Rucker, Sep 17, 2024

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “In seven weeks, Americans will go to the polls and allegedly decide who’s going to be the next President of the United States. I say “allegedly” because I’m still not convinced that we have actual elections anymore. Between the 2020 presidential election and the 2022 midterms, it appears we have “selections” made by the powers-that-be.

They’re in the process of trying to steal the 2024 election right now. It’s not just the illegal aliens who are being registered to vote or the mail-in ballot fraud that’s already in place. It’s also the manufactured ballots that will be deployed on Election Night where they deem it necessary.

The role of corporate media is not to generate votes. The only role corporate media is supposed to play in all of this is to suspend disbelief in a Harris victory. If they can convince enough people that she’s not going to lose in a landslide, then whatever cheating is necessary will be applied and fewer people will question the results. We saw it in the last two elections and this coming election is going to be far more rigged than either of those.

Don’t believe the polls. Don’t believe the talking heads. The vast majority of Republicans and Independents are smart enough to realize that Harris would be at best a continuation of the awful policies that have decimated prosperity, opportunity, and sanity in America. Many Democrats realize it, too, whether they’re willing to admit it or not.

Donald Trump will receive by far more legal votes in this election, but the only thing that matters is the count of the ballots. This is where they’ll cheat.

The most important thing we can do is pray. The second most important thing we can do is vote and make sure everyone around us does so as well. But the third most important action we can take is to dispel the lies that are being told. As I noted, there are at least a dozen major ones but for the sake of time (to fit it into the first 30 minutes of my show today) I’ve highlighted the top five…

Kamala Harris Is the “Change” Candidate

This is arguably the most laughable argument any political candidate could ever make. She’s the sitting Vice President, which makes her the highest ranking member of the White House who is not currently suffering from dementia. In other words, this is her mess as much if not more so than Joe Biden’s. But since nobody wants more of the same, they’re going with the gaslighting campaign message that she represents change. They don’t really have much of a choice.

    Tim Walz Is Normal

When Dan Quayle ran for Vice President with George H. W. Bush, it was a headscratcher. Sure, he was young which was supposed to balance out the perspective that Bush was too old, but he was both weird and ignorant on many topics. Tim Walz is Dan Quayle squared. He’s a legitimately strange dude. He lies more than your average politician. Watch one minute of any of his campaign speeches and it’s clear the guy isn’t all there. He is NOT normal.

    Donald Trump Is a Fascist

The push to paint Trump as Hitler has been blamed for the Deep State assassination attempts against him. This isn’t true in my humble opinion but the vitriol and even violence that comes from the left against Trump supporters is real. But here’s the thing. It is nearly impossible to make the case that this man is fascist. All they can do is repeat the Big Lie over and over again and hope it sticks. There are things we can criticize him about from both the left and the right but a fascist he is not.

    J.D. Vance Is a Radical Right-Winger

Here’s the reality of J.D. Vance. He’s an opportunist. He is malleable. He goes with the flow and is skilled in political expediency. That may not be what most constitutional conservatives want in a leader, but it’s effective and as Trump’s running mate it’s also beneficial. He may sometimes sound like a right-winger and he may sometimes sound like a moderate, but at his core he is a patriot and I’ll take that any day over ideological purity.

    Cheating Isn’t Happening

The biggest false narrative corporate media is setting up is the notion that cheating isn’t happening and will not happen. This is a challenging one to tackle because unlike the perceptions of the four players involved in this game, cheating has to do with the rules and far too few people understand exactly how it works.

There is no valid reason Pennsylvania needs weeks to count ballots. There is no valid reason to fear cyberattacks when the voting machines are allegedly not connected to the internet. And there is no valid reason to believe illegal aliens aren’t being registered to vote when 14% of them say they are.

Nevertheless, corporate media is promoting these narratives about the cheating that’s being set up now. Unless our representative step up in the next seven weeks to prevent another steal, the only action we can take (outside of prayer and voting) is to learn about the various methods of election fraud and disseminate the information to as many Americans as possible.”
