Peter Pan

Today is Kelsea Ballerini’s birthday (born September 12,1993).  I really love some of her songs! I’ve already discussed “If You Go Down, I’m Going Down Too” and how it described how I feel about Filly –partners in crime even if we’ve never met…LOL.

But I want to talk about another song of hers, Peter Pan.  The song discusses a man who seems to resist growing up and for the longest time, I worried my son would be a Peter Pan.

My son is a creative, hardworking man, but he seemed selfishly consumed by his own goals.  He had many girlfriends over the years, but when they got serious, he got wanderlust.

Then he met my future daughter-in-law and I was hopeful.  They dated for many months and then they broke up.  One weekend just before he graduated college, we had a long, long talk.  Being a mom, I had to ask…no plans to settle down?  His answer surprised me.  He wanted to someday move to Colorado and none of the girls he was dating wanted to even discuss moving that far away from their families.

When he brought my future daughter-in-law to the next family function, I was again surprised.  The following week, I asked why.  “I missed her” was his answer, adding “we can always visit Colorado.”

My Peter Pan grew up.

Peter Pan

The smile, the charm, the words, the spark
Everything, you had it
And I guess I had a naive heart, ’cause boy I let you have it
You said I was your only, I never thought you’d leave me lonely

You’re just a lost boy, with your head up in the clouds, yeah
You’re just a lost boy, you never keep your feet on the ground

You’re always gonna fly away
Just because you know you can
Never gonna learn there’s no such place
As Neverland, you don’t understand
You’ll never grow up
You’re never gonna be a man, Peter Pan

Deep down, I knew that you were too good to be true
But every piece and part of me wanted to believe in you
But now it’s happily ever never, and I guess now I know better

You’re just a lost boy, with your head up in the clouds
And you’re just a lost boy, never keep your feet on the ground
Always gonna fly away
Just because you know you can
You’re never gonna learn there’s no such place
As Neverland, you don’t understand
You’ll never grow up
You’re never gonna be a man, Peter Pan

You’re just a lost boy, yeah, I know who you are
You don’t know what you lost, boy, you’re too busy chasing stars

You’re always gonna fly away
Just because you know you can
Never gonna learn there’s no such place
As Neverland, you don’t understand
You’ll never grow up
You’re never gonna be a man
Yeah, you’re never grow up, yeah
You’re never gonna be a man

    1. Morning, Pat! I’ve been a busy bee cleaning up my computer, deleting old documents w/links that no longer work, etc., etc. Ran across some old docs and such from years ago and will be posting some of it. Then I had to catch up on what I’d missed overnight. Love this! I gotcher back, GF!! Just as I know you have mine! I had to go watch that video – cute but the whole Barbie-doll thing just doesn’t work for me.

High 60’s when I got up, up to 70 now and sunny. They’ve dropped the temps in the forecast now – no more 90’s, mostly low to mid-80’s, no rain to speak of – we’re back in the drought stage again.

Wheezer was on the chair, as usual; he must really have a problem with his teeth – he couldn’t even get the tuna stuck to the sides. So I went out and spooned it out of the bowl, on top of his hard food. Then he could eat it. He continuously rubs up against me, arching his back, and wants to be petted but he keeps pulling his head back and lifting one paw, as if to grab me as he would a mate with his claw. Not taking THAT chance!

Six simple facts about last night’s debate:

    1. If Trump destroyed Harris in the debate, Democrats would swap her out for someone else. He’d have had to start all over, campaigning against someone new…again.
    2. Trump debated against three challengers tonight…Harris AND the two moderators. It’s obvious Harris was either fed the questions beforehand or, had a hand in writing the questions.
    3. Harris never answered multiple questions. Answers to those questions would’ve destroyed her campaign. (Trump may not have pushed her due to fact #1).
    4. Harris repeated numerous debunked lies. Many of those lies were started by the news outlet that moderated the debate.
    5. People who are voting for Trump are doing so because we know what’s at stake and we know the truth. Nothing Harris says will change that.
    6. Harris wanted the debate to be about her fantasy of Marxist eutopia so she wouldn’t have to answer for her failed 3.5 years in office as VP. That’s the entire debate in a nutshell.

⁃ NYC Office of Emergency Management

Days like these afford commentary cretins and the bought and paid for Con Inc. doom brigade the opportunity to show you exactly who they are.

Not only did Trump win the fake debate if you’re not an absolute tapwater goblin incapable of critical thinking … the debate happening in the first place is another in a long line of humiliation rituals the American people have been forced to endure in the current zeitgeist.

The American people are not just tired … they’re angry, and Trump is their totem.

The deeper the enemy and those who defend them by proxy dig themselves in, the greater the public mandate for the gloves to come off on all layers of the Info War.

The mood is shifting from one of memetic shock as was the case following the Trump-Biden debate to one of stretched and cracking tension.

That’s a feature of the Great Awakening, not a bug.

Let the sifting accelerate, and let the mass psychological, political and cultural chips fall where they may.

The only way out is through.

    2. Scott Rouse observed that Trump’s microphone was louder, making him appear aggressive.
    3. Trump was “fact-checked” by moderators during his responses, while Harris’s statements were left largely unchallenged.
    4. Moderators frequently spoke over Trump as he tried to complete his answers.
    5. Greg Hartley noticed that Trump received more questions with a negative framing, while Harris was given more neutral or “softball” questions. Overall, he called the moderators’ treatment of Trump “a little heavy-handed at times.”

This stealing/eating people’s pets is not about starving immigrants needing food.

It is people from a very depraved culture practicing a VERY sick religion.

You can’t take 20,000 Haitians and drop them into a town in Ohio without these people bringing a literal Satan-worshipping animal cruelty culture with them.

These are not starving emaciated immigrants with no other access to food. These are practitioners of a very strange and cruel religion who have brought it here with them.

Voodoo pracitioners believe they are ‘building’ their ‘good luck’ by killing/eating animals a certain way. They ain’t killing/eating cats and dogs and geese and other animals they’re stealing cuz they can’t get food or are hungry.

So the first thing you have to realize: these Haitians aren’t killing/eating these animals because they are starving. They are killing/eating them because it’s their religion of voodoo.

This is why the voodoo Haitians can’t simply buy meat in the store. Meat in the store is already DEAD. They have a religious fixation on killing the animal themselves, controlling it’s spirit, then eating the body.

If someone ELSE kills the animal for them, and they just buy the meat in the store, there’s no ‘voodoo power’. They HAVE to kill the animal themselves.

This is what people are missing.

This stealing/eating people’s pets is not about starving immigrants needing food. It is people from a very depraved culture practicing a VERY sick religion.

Travel RN here. That’s not just in OH, it’s all over the US. We started to see upticks in diseases the US hadn’t seen in decades when Obama brought the Somalians over, then it was polio but the government referred to it by its Latin name so the public wouldn’t know. Then in the Western US is was TB, AIDS, whooping cough, and EVERY SINGLE STD you could name. Even the kids have these diseases. Then yellow fever, Rocky Mountain fever, dengue fever. Now it’s diseases PLUS rape and murder. OHIO is just the newest news hotspot.

BREAKING: A federal judge has ordered Georgia and Fulton County election officials to appear before him to explain why he shouldn’t rule against them in an election integrity case that will force them to remove thousands of ineligible names off the voter rolls

Judge Steve C. Jones sent an order to the officials “commanding Defendants to appear and show cause why the relief demanded herein should not be granted.” That hearing is tomorrow morning.

As I previously posted, election integrity warriors @JasonFrazierUSA
    and @_CitizenAG
filed the lawsuit after a Fulton County official admitted on camera that they don’t do routine maintenance of the voter rolls as mandated by federal and state law. They are requesting the judge to issue a writ of mandamus compelling the officials to clean and maintain the voter rolls and to ensure the integrity of the 2024 election, unlike what they did in 2020.

This is a CRUCIAL lawsuit, and I pray the judge follows through with his intention to do the right thing.

Yes … and we’ve got a big problem w/the fact OH Gov DeWine has a “family charity” in Haiti. How much money is the DeWine family making off this “charity?”

DeWine says he is … fine with a small town of 59k being inundated and overwhelmed by 15k illegal foreign nationals. Why?

$2.5 million in financial assistance is a pittance to help this Springfield OH town manage this trauma to their town, schools, communities, resources, hospitals. DeWine is likely only helping Springfield…because it’s in the news now… so he has to do something.

Honestly, we need so many investigations into what our govt political elites (fed and state) are doing to our nation and citizens… it’s staggering.

No one ever bothers to explain WHY – defend why- 10s of millions of foreign nationals are being forced into our cities and towns in such extreme unsustainable numbers.

A few times I’ve asked dems – who support this invasion — WHY they defend it and want it.

Their answer is: (1) the poem on the statue of liberty; and (2) anyone that opposes it should be chastised as a bad Christian… (3) our own ancestors were immigrants [albeit legal immigrants Ellis Island] … and (4) all these migrants are escaping danger, are good people who just want a better life so we should take them all in.

I’ve asked… ok, do you have a cut-off number? If so, what is it? 50 million? 100 million? 150 million? At what point does the US collapse into financial bankruptcy and chaos? There’s lots of chaos already. Many states have huge debt already. The US is $35 Trillion in debt too.Dems never have a NUMBER where they will say: OK, that’s it. We cannot take-in anymore. They pretty much refuse to answer.

  10. yet another administration fool who insults veterans.
    FTA

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby was met with intense criticism Wednesday after he inadvertently emailed a reporter that there is ‘no use in responding’ to veteran concerns about the Harris-Biden administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Kirby, 61, apparently intended to send his dismissive response to White House staffers but accidentally hit ‘reply all’ on an email chain that included the Fox News reporter making the inquiry.

‘Obviously no use in responding. A ‘handful’ of vets indeed and all of one stripe,’ read Kirby’s email, according to the outlet.

“No use in responding” to those who want accountability and answers. For Kirby, it’s better to simply ignore these time-wasting and annoying individuals… who left their brothers, fathers, sisters, mothers, friends, and blood in a desert more than 7,000 miles away. They’re worthless to this administration, and the ends it desires to accomplish, as they’re clearly not the veterans voting Democrat. These aren’t the “Veterans for Walz” sellouts or self-serving scum like retired “Rear Admiral” Kirby himself, but veterans who understand true sacrifice for and service to America and her people.

  11. so NO ONE is verifying that these email ballot requesters ever resided in any community in the US at all???

    FTA

Overseas voting is a time-honored tradition in America.  U.S. citizens living privately abroad or as members of the U.S. military should not have their right to vote hindered because of their geographical location, which is why the federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) was created.

What federal law doesn’t do is provide clear, commonsense rules for how overseas people register or how their votes are compiled and counted.  This means that states can make their own laws — even bad ones.  For example, in more than 31 U.S. states and territories, overseas citizens are allowed to request ballots and cast their votes electronically via email.

An overseas email  ballot request triggers the local clerk to respond — again, via email — and request voter identification. So far, so good, but most of these states do not require a Social Security number or a state ID.  All the email requester who doesn’t have any identification has to do is check a box that says, “I don’t have the above identification.”  And just like that, the requester receives a voter ID and a PDF ballot that can be cut and pasted into a return email.

The voter verification process also asks the email requester for a local address, but no one verifies that the requester ever lived in or has any connection to the state.

The benefit of not being able to speak is that you learn to see things beyond just the words and tone in a conversation. Body language, hand movements, gestures, sentence structure, and importantly, the words not said. I’m not going to ramble over the same talking points many have already highlighted in their analysis or interpretation of the debate last night, but a few things I do believe are crucially important. Firstly, for me this debate only further confirmed that my vote will go to Trump.

So many people are saying he was too angry and kept falling for the bait.

But for me that was what set the two apart – Trump showed raw emotion.

He’s fighting for the White House, and with all the vitriol, the attacks, crazy lawfare thrown at him, as well as an attempted assassination, this is a fight. With everything going on around the world, from the wars to mass illegal immigration to the madness of the woke agenda and media bias, this is a fight. I wanted to see anger. It showed that he cares.

And yes, when we’re angry it often looks optically bad, if you choose to view it that way. But a presidency is like a marriage… couples fight and argue and say and do irrational things when it’s worth fighting for.

When the fighting stops and the emotion disappears, it’s a sign that one or both no longer care. Trump cares. He showed that in abundance.

Kamala simply doesn’t. Everything she said was scripted and unauthentic. Add to the fact that last night was the clearest and most blatant ambush where Trump was up against both Kamala and ABC, his fighting spirit to stand there and fight in a ring designed to protect only her, I think he demonstrated a courage that has been missing in America for 4 years.

We all knew he was going into the lion’s den in this debate, and it was always designed as a setup. Yet he didn’t hide. He didn’t run away. He stood there in the ring that was a trap set for him and he took punch after punch and took every blow as I would want a president who cared enough to take.

Secondly, Kamala lied. And I mean a lot. Not small white lies but some of the most egregious lies imaginable, knowing she could get away with it because this was entirely intended for that.

It was one of the most shameful acts of cowardice I’d seen in a long time. She had nothing of substance to offer. Nothing. It’s bad enough to have no emotion or passion.

But to have nothing to even say that was genuine and that came from Kamala the person as opposed to her script writers and ABC “mediators” was as bad if not worse than Tim Walz cowardly running away from the military to avoid serving on the frontlines.

It’s that same cowardice and lack of leadership that is representative not only of the past 4 years, but what we will get from the next 4.

Thirdly, Kamala made a statement that all Biden and Kamala’s administration has done is defend the sovereignty of Ukraine. And that’s fair enough. I 100% agree that we all should.

But then just moments later, she says she wants a two state solution in Israel. So what happened to the sanctity of sovereignty? Israel is a sovereign state. Its borders and sovereignty have been constantly attacked and violated by all its surrounding enemies for 76 years. Yet she wants to violate that very sovereignty as well by carving up Israel’s sovereign borders and hand it over to freaking terrorists that just raped and murdered and kidnapped a combined 1500 innocent people?

And this after her administration gifted over $150 billion to Iran to fund those same terrorists?

And nobody even mentioned the hate protests the Biden administration defended and encouraged and stated they “had a point”? It’s one rule for one and a different rule for the other.

And that’s where Trump wins hands down. He’s consistent. She has no real clue.

To sum it all up: Donald Trump had a second assassination attempt in two months, and once again he survived. He is a fighter. Kamala is not. He is a president. Kamala is not.

    End/

Hang with me on this one Treepers.

I grew up in Ohio in the 70s and 80s. Ohio was always a 19 year old state for beer and wine purchase and 21 years for hard alcohol (at one point you could buy 3.2 beer at 18). This was around the time that Mothers Against Drunk Drivers was actively pushing Govts across the country to make 21 the minimum drinking age for all alcohol. Ohio was one of the last holdouts because of a powerful beer distribution lobby.

What finally forced Ohios hand? The Feds passed a law that would withhold federal highway transportation dollars to any state that didn’t comply.

So my question is: could President Trump work to pass similar laws or use Executive Order to withhold Medicaid or EBT dollars to any state that was giving out benefits to illegals? Is this the tool to force the hand.

    1. Sounds like a great idea to me!!! And the only experience I have in OH is that I got a speeding ticket there once, many years ago when I was still in the Army. I was on my way home for my summer leave and was just keeping up with the other traffic – maybe 5-7 MPH over the speed limit. Yet he only pulled me over – I can only guess because I had an out-of-state license plate. I asked him why and he said “Well, I caught you.” Asswipe! I’m wondering now if it was a scam, since I had to follow him off the interstate to the nearest small town to pay the fine – in cash! SMDH – Ohio sucks, thank you very much!

  14. Just The News: “Two groups representing top election administrators in all 50 states warned that widespread issues with the U.S. Postal Service could disrupt voting in the 2024 general election.

According to the letter sent to U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy on Wednesday, valid ballots postmarked on time have been received after the deadline to be counted and the issue hasn’t been corrected.

The officials also noted that there have been cases of election mail with valid addresses being returned as undeliverable. “We have not seen improvement or concerted efforts to remediate our concerns,” the National Association of Secretaries of State and the National Association of State Election Directors wrote.

The officials also wrote in the letter that the issues were “not one-off mistakes or a problem with specific facilities” and it “demonstrates a pervasive lack of understanding and enforcement of USPS policies among its employees.”

  15. Just The News: “The Justice Department (DOJ) has dropped nearly half of the remaining obstruction charges that are still pending against January 6 defendants, according to recent DOJ data.

The Supreme Court in June made it more difficult to charge the defendants with obstruction, but charges can still be brought if prosecutors can prove that rioters were intentionally trying to stop the arrival of certificates used to certify electoral votes.

The department said last week that it has already dropped the charge in approximately 60 of the 126 defendants whose cases were still pending. It is still going to charge 13 of the defendants with obstruction, and is still examining the other cases.

In the cases that have already been tried, the DOJ said it does not object to dismissing the charge in 40 of the 133 cases, but it is still reviewing the rest. One person has had their sentence reduced so far, over the Supreme Court ruling.

“There are zero cases where a defendant was charged only for violating 18 U.S.C. § 1512,” the DOJ noted. “In other words, even if the government foregoes this charge, every charged defendant will continue to face exposure to other criminal charges.”

Although there were no cases where a defendant was only charged with obstruction, there have been 17 defendants that were solely convicted of obstruction, and were serving a prison sentence as of Aug. 6.”

  16. Just The News: “Following the presidential debate on Tuesday, social media users theorized that Vice President Kamala Harris wore audio earrings on stage. The Germany-based company that sells the earrings said on Wednesday that the resemblance between Harris’ earrings and their audio earrings “is striking.”

On Tuesday night, Harris wore what appeared to be gold and pearl earrings while debating former President Donald Trump. Social media users compared the earrings to NOVA H1 Audio Earrings, which are wireless earphones. Media outlets and other social media users examined the earrings, coming to the conclusion that Harris’ earrings are from Tiffany & Co., not NOVA products.

Just the News requested comment from Icebach Sound, the Munich-based company that sells the earrings.

“We do not know whether Mrs. Harris wore one of our products. The resemblance is striking and while our product was not specifically developed for the use at presidential debates, it is nonetheless suited for it,” Malte Iversen, managing director at Icebach Sound, told Just the News on Wednesday. “To ensure a level playing field for both candidates, we are currently developing a male version and will soon be able to offer it to the Trump campaign. The choice of colour is a bit challenging though as orange does not go well with a lot of colours.

“Currently, we are unfortunately out of stock and also busy preparing a lawsuit against a big Chinese tech company breaching our patents,” Iversen continued. “We are talking to investors in order to ramp up operations accordingly and are confident that we will ship again very soon.”

  17. One of the items I ran across in my pooter cleaning duties…

“Nancy Pelosi was visiting a primary school in Orlando and visited a 4th grade class. They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asked Mrs. Pelosi if she would like to lead the discussion on the word ‘tragedy.’ So our illustrious Democrat asked the class for an example of a ‘tragedy.’

One little boy stood up and offered: “If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs him over and kills him, that would be a tragedy.”

“No,” said Pelosi, “that would be an accident.”

A little girl raised her hand: “If a school bus carrying 50 children drove off a cliff, killing everyone, that would be a tragedy.”

“I’m afraid not,” explained Pelosi. “That’s what we would call a great loss.”

The room went silent. No other child volunteered. Pelosi searched the room. “Isn’t there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?”

Finally, at the back of the room, Little Johnny raised his hand. The teacher held her breath. In a quiet voice he said: “If the plane carrying you was struck by a ‘friendly fire’ missile and blown to smithereens that would be a tragedy.”

“Fantastic!” exclaimed Pelosi, “That’s right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?”

“Well,” says Johnny, “It has to be a tragedy, because it sure as hell wouldn’t be a great loss and you can bet your sweet ass it wouldn’t be an accident either!”

    The teacher left the room.”

  18. Another one:

“At the National Art Gallery in Dublin, a husband and wife were staring at a portrait that had them completely confused. The painting depicted three black men totally naked, sitting on a bench.

Two of the figures had black penises, but the one in the middle had a pink penis. The curator of the gallery realized that they were having trouble interpreting the painting and offered his personal assessment.

He went on for over half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual emasculation of African Americans in a predominately white patriarchal society. “In fact,” he pointed out, “some serious critics believe that the pink penis also reflects the cultural and sociological oppression experienced by gay men in contemporary society.”

After the curator left, an Irishman approached the couple and said, “Would you like to know what the painting is really about?”

“Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the gallery,” asked the couple?

“Because I am the artist, who painted the picture”, he replied, “In fact, there are no African Americans depicted at all. They’re just three Irish coal miners. The guy in the middle went home for lunch.”

  19. “Wild Pigs – A Reminder For All”

“A thought to remember, Marx said, “Remove one freedom per generation and soon you will have no freedom and no one would have noticed.”

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked: “Do you know how to catch wild pigs?” The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said that it was no joke. “You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free food. “When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.

“They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. “The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare entitlements, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government “help” is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to share this with your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably stay quiet.”

  20. “iPhone Mental Health Assessments — Just don’t…”

Robert W Malone MD, MS, Sep 12, 2024

EXCERPT: “True Story: The Health app built into iPhones is now collecting as much personal information on the mental health of each and every one of us as they can get a hold of.

Yet, a search on Google and Brave yielded no results on the dangers of sharing such information over the phone or internet. Seriously, no single MSM has done an article on why such data sharing might be a bad idea?

To start, in sharing such data, you aren’t just sharing your information, iphone knows exactly who your family members are. In many cases, those phones are connected via family plans.

iPhone mental health assessments not only ask questions about your mental health but can also infer the mental health status of family members, as demonstrated by the image publicly shared by phone on the benefits of a phone mental health assessment.

    What could possibly go wrong?

Although iPhone has historically been known to keep user data “safe,” this is not a given, and there have been hacks and data breaches over the years.

Crowd Strike happened – from just a simple coding error. In 2015, all of my confidential data given to the DoD and the FBI in order to get a security clearance was harvested by the Chinese government, when they hacked into the government’s “super-secret”, and “super-secure” government data storage site. In response, the government offered me a credit report and monitoring of my credit score for a year. Yeah – thanks.

Bottom line- no data is 100% secure, and this is mental health data. Data that might be extremely embarrassing, career-damaging, or has the potential to disrupt family relationships. Remember, no one knows what new laws, regulations, or mores might come to pass years from now. This type of information should not be harvested and stored.

Furthermore, trusting that iPhone will never sell that data or pass it off to research groups is very naive. In fact, mental health data is already being mined…..”

A highlight of the mission will be their attempt to perform a spacewalk without an airlock. Opening the door of the Crew Dragon capsule will expose all four crew members to the vacuum of space. Only their spacesuits will keep them safe. I wish the crew good luck when they try it later this week…”

  23. “The Bee Fact Checks Last Night’s Debate”

    Politics · Sep 11, 2024 · BabylonBee.com

    Article Image

“Moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis tried to graciously provide viewers with real-time fact checks during the Presidential Debate last night, but as noble as their intentions were, those imperfect humans overlooked just a few teensy items.

Here’s what our respected Bee Fact Checker panel uncovered:

    Claim #1

Trump: “Hello, my name is Donald Trump.”

False. His name is Donald John Trump. While it’s unclear why Trump would deliberately withhold his middle name, one thing is certain; Donald John Trump is a liar.

    Claim #2

Trump: “Tim Walz shaves his legs.”

False. While Walz’s legs are indeed as smooth as marble, he does not shave his legs — he waxes his legs.

    Claim #3

Trump: “Madden 2002 is the best sports game ever made. You could knock the helmets off of players.”

False. NFL Quarterback Club 98 exists. Duh.

    Claim #4

Trump: “Trump supporters didn’t kill anyone on January 6.”

False. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was killed 13 times that day.

    Claim #5

Muir: “There is no credible evidence cats are being killed by Haitian immigrants.”

True. They are only killing geese and dogs. And some humans. But no cats.

    Claim #6

Harris: “I’m doing a good job.”

False. She’s doing a GREAT job.

    Claim #7

Davis: “In some states in this country it is legal to kill a baby after it is born.”

False. Well, technically it’s true, but it sounds bad. So let’s say false.

    Claim #8

    Muir: “Good night.”

False. It was not a good night, David. IT SUCKED.

We hope this sets the record straight on the lies of everyone involved.”

Digital billboards, a dozen of them, promoting what is perhaps the funniest conspiracy theory of the year (and that is saying something). “EAT LESS KITTENS — Vote Republican!” the state GOP’s billboards proclaim. The billboard features four kittens dressed in cow costumes, a la the iconic Chick-fil-A ads. Whether it’s effective or not, it’s pretty friggin’ funny if ya ask me…”

Fulton DA Willis seeks to block Georgia Senate subpoenas; 3 judges recuse from ruling

In a filing submitted on Sept. 4, Willis, represented by former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes, argued that the subpoenas’ broad demands for documents would harm the prosecution’s case. She requested a permanent injunction to prevent enforcement of the subpoenas by the committee.

Three Fulton County Superior Court judges have recused themselves from the case. Judges Craig Schwall, Sr. and Melynee Leftridge recused themselves last week, citing unspecified conflicts of interest. On Monday, Judge Scott McAfee also recused himself, noting his involvement in overseeing the election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others.

  26. Daggum, it’s windy!! I had to go check to make sure it wasn’t blowing my trellis down. But at least it’s keeping the temp down a bit – only 85. I’ve got one more jumbo lope that I’m watching and, this time, I’m picking it before it drops off on it’s own. They are overripe and kind of mushy so I think this will work better, with firmer innards. I’ll let you know. Other than that one, I’ve 7 smaller ones left in various sizes so I will end up having gotten 13 lopes this year. Next year, I’ll apply what I’ve learned and see if I can get even more! I’m definitely planting much earlier and with fewer seeds – only 4. They will produce more fruit with more room to grow.

  27. Just The News: “Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump confirmed on Thursday that he would not debate Vice President Kamala Harris again.

“KAMALA SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR YEAR PERIOD. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” Trump wrote in a lengthy TRUTH Social post.

On Tuesday, Trump and Harris participated in a debate on ABC News that saw Trump feud with the moderators as much as with Harris.

Trump then pointed to polling data to claim that he won the debate.

“When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH,'” Trump wrote. “Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate.”

He added that both President Joe Biden and Harris are destroying the middle class and causing suffering with the chaos at the U.S. southern border.”

When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, “I WANT A REMATCH.” Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate. She and Crooked Joe have destroyed our Country, with millions of criminals and mentally deranged people pouring into the USA, totally unchecked and unvetted, and with Inflation bankrupting our Middle Class. Everyone knows this, and all of the other problems caused by Kamala and Joe – It was discussed in great detail during the First Debate with Joe, and the Second Debate with Comrade Harris. She was a no-show at the Fox Debate, and refused to do NBC & CBS. KAMALA SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR YEAR PERIOD. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!
