Today is Melissa McCarthy’s birthday, born in 1970, and I do not know her politics, but I do enjoy the movies and series I have seen her in—Spy, The Heat, and Mike and Molly. In Spy, she plays an agent for the government who was tricked into providing support for a handsome agent. When he is neutralized, she is sent abroad for a low-key surveillance mission where she is assigned aliases such as housewife and cat lady, which she rejects and shows off her true spy capabilities (with some hilarious, but impressive results.) I found an article on factinate.com her describing 42 things we may not know about her, and I wanted to share a few of these.
From Factinate:
Why Buy It When You Can Make It
Thanks to her fashion background, McCarthy designs the majority of the dresses she wears at award shows and premieres for her movies.

A Little Heads up Would Have Been Nice
In 2011, McCarthy and Joshua Jackson announced the nominees for various Emmy categories, but apparently, no one told her she was up for an award for Mike & Molly. When Jackson announced her name, she was genuinely shocked and so overcome with emotions that she could barely get through the rest of the nominees.

A Dress for Every Occasion
She returned to her fashion roots in 2015 when she launched her own fashion line, Melissa McCarthy Seven7, which offers reasonably priced clothing options for women from size 4 to 28.

Makeover: Diet Edition
After landing the role of Sookie St. James in Gilmore Girls, McCarthy decided to go on an all-liquid diet that resulted in her losing 70 lbs (32 kg) in four months! According to McCarthy, she would never do it again because it drove her crazy, and she would rather have a beer and a burger than starve herself. I’m with ya there, Melissa!

A Very Canadian Heist
In 2011, McCarthy and Mumolo sold a pitch to Paramount Pictures for a movie that has yet to be made and I can’t figure out why. The film would’ve starred McCarthy as a woman who tries to steal the Stanley Cup. Can someone at Paramount finance this movie already!

They Said What?
McCarthy admitted that she was “shocked and heartbroken” after her sitcom Mike & Molly was canceled after 6 seasons. After all, it was one of her first starring roles and she’d achieved much of her film success while still appearing on the show. One of the weirder rumors that was spread after the cancellation was that the show had been axed because McCarthy had lost too much weight after taking diet pills. These rumors were quickly disproven and found to have originated from—you guessed it—a manufacturer of diet pills.

You can read more facts about Melissa at the factinate.com website!

Morning All!
dark start to the day! not sure what weather is coming our way.
wore my FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT shirt yesterday and at walmart, one woman passing me in an aisle, said she loved my shirt. she wanted to buy one for her husband, she said, but things are so expensive now. she regularly bought 2 cartons of a dozen and half eggs and that used to cost $6 (for 3 dozen eggs). now it costs over $10! I got a family to feed, she said. I want him back (pointing at my shirt).

Morning, Pat! The sky was clear an hour ago, when I first woke up, but now there is a haze over the moon that wasn’t there earlier and temp is up to 71 already. Storms moving thru later this morning again….sigh….my yard is already a jungle! But after that, the temps stay in the 70’s for the most part…until they change it again. Wheezer was waiting, as usual; ate his tuna and then hunkered down in front of the door – Jake’s in the BR, of course.
My hand is healing well – I was even able to carry heavy bags of groceries yesterday and can now close my hand into a fist, altho not a tight fist yet. Still hurts in my pinky knuckle when I do that, with the occasional sharp pain and a tiny bit of swelling. I really dodged a bullet this time!
Wheezer just took a turn around the living room – when he started sharpening his claws on my 2nd recliner, I walked over and said loudly, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” He looked up at me and casually walked around the corner behind the trash can, into the kitchen, before casually sauntering thru the kitchen and back out onto the patio.
Sorry but I do not enjoy watching morbidly obese people on TV! Partly because I just can’t stomach it but mostly, I think, because that was the beginning of the long road to HB’s death. Re-runs of Mike & Molly are on the schedule every day but I have no desire to watch even one episode. I’ve also not seen any of her movies. IDC how pretty or attractive the clothes are – can’t turn a stink bug into a butterfly!

When she first started on Mike and Milly she was 6 or was it 8 months pregnant!

Jake still pretends that he’s sharpening his non-existent claws – he does it every time Wheezer has taken a walk thru the place, as well as off/on routinely! And that is exactly why I jumped in to try to stop the fight.
So, IOW, she just got fatter. Got it!

RFK Jr. Exposes the Dirty Secret Between TV News and Big Pharma
He says Big Pharma ads aren’t just about pushing products—they’re there to DICTATE content.
Kennedy witnessed this firsthand.
The founder of Fox News admitted to him that he had a family member injured by a medical product containing mercury, but said he couldn’t give Kennedy a platform to talk about the issue because “70% of our revenues are coming from pharmaceutical companies.”
Roger Ailes told Kennedy, “If any of my hosts allowed you on TV, I’d have to fire them. And if I didn’t, I would hear from Rupert [Murdoch].”
Kennedy says, “Those [pharmaceutical] companies are advertising not just as a platform for selling products but also because they can dictate content. They can make sure that whoever is on that news show is toeing a line.”

Another point many commentators are missing. Why aren’t they discussing this? Notice how top RNC/GOP leaders don’t have much to say in support/encouragement of Trump creating an Unity government with people like RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard? HE’S GOING AROUND THEM. He’s creating a Unity party and the old GOP establishment has been caught flat footed and not sure how to respond to this new threat from him.

The Medical Establishment Isn’t Going to Like This
@RobertKennedyJr
says you can make “diabetes disappear” for a “tiny fraction” of the cost of putting every obese American on Ozempic.
How? “Give every American three meals a day of organic food.”
“Diabetes is treatable with food and exercise, and so is obesity,” Kennedy declared.
This seems like common sense, but you can imagine the pushback such a proposal would get.
Why? Because the medical industries that are supposed to make us healthier “actually make more money if we get sicker.”

Almost a year ago, Oprah and Johnson faced backlash after asking struggling peasants to donate to the Maui fund they launched to help wildfire victims. Oprah and Johnson committed to donating $10 million themselves. This year, Oprah donated $150 million to the Harris campaign. It seems that helping people who lost their loved ones and homes wasn’t as valuable as trying to elect her comrade. A year later, some victims of the fire remain unaccounted for, hundreds, if not thousands, of Maui residents are still homeless, and the island has yet to be rebuilt. If you haven’t already realized it yet… THE ELITE DESPISE YOU!

“Globalism: The UN “Summit of the Future” — “Pact” is just another word for a binding International Treaty.”
Robert W Malone MD, MS, Aug 29, 2024
EXCERPT: “From 22-23 September 2024, the United Nations will convene a “Summit of the Future” to obtain official States Parties signatures on a series of multilateral “Pacts”, or international agreements, between participating nations.
According to a UN website;
The “Summit of the Future” pact and annexes include the “Pact for the Future,” the “Declaration on Future Generations,” and the “Global Digital Compact.”
In other words, this “Summit of the Future” will define a new international system, otherwise previously known as the “New World Order.” The political, legal, organizational, and bureaucratic structure of this new international system will sit above – in other words, it will supersede the prior internal and external national legal structures of the States Parties that sign the “Pact for the Future” agreement and its annexes. This is precisely the political and organizational structure implemented in Europe as the European Union, where formerly independent nation-states no longer control their own internal and external affairs but rather must defer to the centralized decisions of a European Council, which is neither elected nor accountable to the citizens of those nation-states.
To put it another way, in the final days of the Biden – Harris administration, it is likely that the sovereignty and independence of the United States of America will be legally subjugated by executive agreement to a new “international system” centered around the United Nations, its “partner” the World Economic Forum, and the network of global public-private partnerships and non-governmental organizations that will set policy agendas for this “international system.” The US Senate will stand by and do nothing, just like it did nothing when Obama executed UN Agenda 2030 as an executive agreement.
The agenda for the summit consists of the following:
• 22 September 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.: Transforming global governance and turbocharging the implementation of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
• 22 September 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Enhancing multilateralism for international peace and security.
• 23 September 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.: Towards a Common Digital Future: strengthening inclusive innovation and cooperation to bridge the digital divides.
• 23 September 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.: The Future Starts Now: enhancing the global system for current and future generations.
International agreements are formal understandings or commitments between two or more countries. An agreement between two countries is called “bilateral,” while an agreement between several countries is “multilateral.” The countries bound by an international agreement are called “States Parties.” …..

Editor’s Note: The following is an exclusive excerpt from the new book by investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson, “Follow the Science: How Big Pharma Misleads, Obscures, and Prevails.” The book, by publisher Harper Collins, is due out Tuesday, Sept. 3.
EXCERPT: “If you consume the curated, mainstream medicine and media narrative, you’re probably under the impression that the prescription drug that President Trump touted as a possible game changer against coronavirus – hydroxychloroquine – has been thoroughly ‘debunked’ and discredited.
“At the height of the Covid panic as politics, money, and medicine intersected – two divergent views of hydroxychloroquine emerged, both of which could not possibly be true at the same time. The first view was the negative one widely reported in the press. The second view you’ve likely heard less about. Rarely has a discussion about choices of medicine been so polluted by political overtones …
“Many right-leaning media figures and independent scientists sided with hydroxychloroquine, while the public health establishment and left-leaning press backed remdesivir. Each accusing the other of ignoring real science.
“I found an informative view from cardiologist Dr. William O’Neill, a medical director at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, where researchers were studying both remdesivir and hydroxychloroquine and had no known financial stake in the outcome.
“’I’ve never seen science so politicized in forty years of practice,’ Dr. O’Neill tells me when I visit with him.
“’Some people in the media are treating hydroxychloroquine as if it’s something that’s being pitched by charlatans [as if] it’s dangerous, debunked, and discredited,’ I say to Dr. O’Neill. ‘What do you make of that?’” …
“‘I think [the negative media narrative on hydroxychloroquine] is very harmful,’ Dr. O’Neill tells me. ‘President Trump touted it early, and so then the media set out to disprove and discredit it without any regard for science. I think those of us that are actually involved in the scientific endeavor feel that there is some value to it, and it has to be tested.’
“Dr. O’Neill is a world-renowned leader in interventional cardiology, famous for ‘pioneering research in new techniques to diagnose and treat heart attacks.’ He’s not only an eminent researcher; he’s also a clinician.
“When we first spoke, he’d already prescribed hydroxychloroquine, before the government limited its use, to numerous Covid patients. He tells me he saw improvement in all of them. Real-world, firsthand evidence directly from a scientist involved! On the other hand, he tells me he’s far less impressed by remdesivir….”

Michael told me yesterday that 2 of his lopes fell off – one was completely ripe, the other not quite as ripe. He ate the first one and raved about the delicious smell and taste! My mouth waters just thinking of it….speaking of that, when I checked yesterday, I noticed that the exterior of the smaller ones are beginning to look like they will develop but won’t be getting much bigger. There are still a lot of small ones that won’t make it, unfortunately. But you just wait until NEXT year, when I get them planted much earlier. I’m also going to be more diligent earlier about removing the sucker vines that will never develop fruit. That forces more nutrients into the producing vines.

we are going to remove the fences around the grapevines and give up on them. the back 2 rows have been nearly stripped of their leaves and the grapes are gone. you really can’t see that from the front –the front row is still quite lush but when you get close, you can see the grapes are gone. next year they can have it with wrecking the back fences. I’m done trying.

you need 8 ft tall fences to keep deer out if there’s something they like. they have never bothered the vegetable garden in all the years we had it. But once a deer got into the grapevines and tasted the leaves? they’re hooked on them and our fence is not 8 ft high.
the raccoons will climb any fence to get the grapes though, so it’s a moot point.

Our Take: Sometimes … you just have to sit back and let the simulation go full retard, breaking the cardinal sin in furtherance of the awakening.
Lately, some of the most viral headlines coming out of the Media Industrial Complex aren’t doing so because they’re sensational, as would have been the case a decade ago; they’re not even doing so because they’re inversions, as has been the case in recent years.
Instead, headlines are going viral because they’re sort of just stating the truth, replete with commentary that completely inverts it in the aftermath.
To wit, if a Constitution-loving American patriot were to pen a header discussing Donald Trump’s recent alliances, it might look an awful lot like the one Axios put out on Wednesday. And yet, Axios not only felt confident in putting forward the prospect that Trump’s new transition team prided itself on constitutional values, but actually thought it would DAMAGE said team, and the campaign as a whole.
This observation results in a tantalizing Bicameral: either the enemy really is this retarded … or patriot ghosts in the media machine are in complete control of the 4am talking points.
Either way, I feel fine … — Burning Bright

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/08/27/politico-claims-jd-vance-tries-tether-kamala-harris-biden-harris-administration/
Our Take: The internet erupted Tuesday when Politico reporter Mia McCarthy wrote, ‘Donald Trump’s running mate tried to tie Harris to the Biden administration’s policies.’
The comments were hilarious, and Breitbart has captured many of them in this article. It’s refreshing to see a plurality of Americans calling out media gaslighting when it happens, rather than in hindsight.
That being said, neither Breitbart nor the internet goes hard enough at Politico’s editorial team and, while I love mocking the legacy media as much as the next guy, the real pressure points for Politico here are legal.
Politico has a political editor, fact checkers, lawyers, and an editorial board. Misguided Mia wrote the silly line, but she didn’t unilaterally publish the story. It’s hard to believe that everyone in Politico’s editorial chain of command didn’t realize that Harris is the current Vice President, AI Czar, Gun Czar, and Border Czar, and thus already tethered to Joe Biden.
It’s much more likely that the editorial board at Politico is participating in a coordinated effort to distance Harris from Biden. They certainly fact checked Mia’s article. At least one editor took a pass through it. Lawyers were likely available to review on request of the editor. They collectively decided to publish it.
That’s a donation in kind, and one of many for Politico. It’s not journalism, it’s using the power and credibility of a national news platform to help a candidate win an election. This happens all the time, especially at Politico, but #TetherGate is so overt and recognizable, it could move the needle on acceptability.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still gaslighting and should be roundly mocked. It’s also a campaign finance violation and should be prosecuted. — Ashe in America

Jack Smith’s superseding indictment is a good excuse to remind everyone how dark and how far-reaching Smith’s legal claims are, in his frenzy to imprison Donald Trump.
Smith claims Trump broke the law based on which of his advisors he chose to believe in fall 2020. Repeat, according to Smith, Trump is a criminal because he believed advisors who told him there was fraud in 2020, and that he didn’t believe advisors who argued otherwise.
Smith claims that Donald Trump broke the law by openly and publicly organizing alternate electors, based on the idea that alternative electors were necessary to sustain his ongoing legal challenges. According to Smith, this was “fraud,” even though Trump’s team was entirely honest at all times about what they were doing and why.
Smith claims that Donald Trump broke the law by lobbying state lawmakers to convene and pass legislation he supported.
Smith claims that Donald Trump broke the law by giving a speech on January 6. He claims that, simply by calling for his supporters to “fight,” Trump was criminally inciting the people who broke into the Capitol.
Jack Smith’s goal isn’t just to score another unjustified criminal conviction against Donald Trump. His goal is to gut the First Amendment rights of all Americans, criminalize the act of contesting an election, and transform America into a Third World banana republic ruled by a Putin-style oligarchy.
It’s Jack Smith, not Donald Trump, who belongs in prison.

Oh, FFS!!! Right after Jason left, I heard this loud noise in my front yard. When I looked out, here sits this big truck pulled onto my lawn and 2 guys working with a long tube on my connection to the city water line. So I went out to ask what’s going on. They are testing to see if my water lines are copper or galvanized steel – if they are copper, I’m good; if not, I will have to pay to have the lines replaced, in spite of the fact that this place was built probably 50 years ago and I had no say in the matter. It SHOULD be the city’s responsibility since they are the ones who installed it, FFS!!!
One of the guys – an older guy with a beard – loved my Trump t-shirt; we got to chatting and he’s on board with the government being out of control. He and his wife, before she passed, worked hard and put 3 girls thru college, paying for it as they went – where is HIS refund???? I asked that they let me know what they find before they leave so I know what I have to look forward to. All of the houses to the west of me on 4th street have copper, except the house immediately to my west. Hope mine are copper, too….

“Fight by Guarding Your Mind”
Pepe Lives Matter, Aug 29, 2024
“We all need to be vigilant in guarding our minds in these next few months. We know that the enemy is desperate, stupid, and angry. Spiritual awakening is occurring around the planet as so much evil has been “unveiled” to those who used to remain in ignorance. This causes the IQ level of the world to continue to rise while a cry for justice to occur becomes louder.
They just tried to assassinate Donald Trump and failed. Their Covid plan backfired and woke up millions. They framed Trump for treason, but this also failed miserably. If the enemy cannot bring out another event, they will certainly try to pressure all of us individually in our own unique ways. They may attack us through family turmoil, broken relationships, mental anguish, loneliness, or spiritual pressure.
This is why we must all take as much accountability as we can over the thoughts we allow in our minds. The enemy will attempt to discourage us, even as we head towards another finish line in this wild journey. In many ways, warfare is inevitable. There is going to be the pain of fighting spiritual battles. But we can prolong that pain by letting the enemy enter into those thoughts and accepting them, even if only for a time. Instead, we should swiftly reject that which would deter us.
Is the enemy attempting to make you feel tired and weary? Remember that God is your strength and you have already come so far. The enemy may be attempting to use subtlety in the lies so it’s harder for you to perceive them. If you are tired, the subtle deception can be: You cannot make it. But when you look back at the fact-based evidence, you’ve come much further than you, perhaps, ever thought possible. So that lie that you cannot keep going is simply untrue. The human spirit is far more capable of enduring hardship than many give it credit for. In times of trial, we shine and soar to new places. When the water rises, God raises you up as a standard.
Detect the lie that is bringing you down to a low place and you’ll often find it’s such a simple thought. That thought often comes from the spiritual forces attempting to stop you, God’s warrior. Bring truth back into that headspace. Sometimes it’s even better to say it out loud. Is the enemy saying you are too tired to go on? Then remind yourself of all the trials and tribulations that you’ve overcome, with heaven by your side. No challenge is too much. You can keep going. Yes, there is fatigue. But it is not the end for you. The best days are yet to come. You must hold onto this truth. You must hold onto hope. Hope is a truth so powerful.
So as the world looks to bring about another chaotic finale to this Trump saga we’ve all been participants and cheerleaders: Every day I suggest we all watch over our minds like a hawk. There may be chaos in the world but you can give him no victory in your mind and do what is in front of you, what you are called to do and that is a victory that the enemy simply despises. When you don’t allow them to torment you and you thrive in the face of pressure, you grow into a force that hell simply cannot stop. Let’s all finish this chapter with our heads held high. Keep going and fight, fight, fight.

Just The News: “The FBI’s handling of child sexual abuse investigations must improve, an internal watchdog said in a new report released on Thursday.
The report comes more than 3 years after it came to light that the FBI was aware of U.S. gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar molesting female athletes but did not act quick enough.
“The DOJ OIG found that further improvements are needed to build upon the FBI’s recent changes to its crimes against children and human trafficking (CAC/HT) program to ensure it appropriately addresses child sexual abuse allegations,” read a summary of the report.
The OIG findings included suspected child abuse cases that “lacked any recent investigative activity or case updates, logical investigative steps, or referrals to appropriate agencies.”
OIG also discovered “leads that were not appropriately covered” and “instances of substantial non-compliance with FBI policy.”

EXCERPT: “The world is now moving through an epoch-shifting transition, and a new system will be brought online as the $1.2 quadrillion derivatives time bomb that has cancerously taken over the western economy crashes.
Now, this may not be a bad thing, as the system created over the dead bodies of JFK and his brother (which some have dubbed ‘post-industrial society’, consumerism or globalisation) was always an atrocity premised around a Malthusian paradigm that rejected America’s historic tradition of morality and technological progress.
However, as the multipolar alliance races to bring a system of win-win cooperation, large scale development and long term thinking into reality, it has become increasingly clear that the New World Order priesthood is no longer the only game in town.
In the following article, I would like to clarify the principled difference between the oligarchical closed system of transhumanism and the foundation for open systems now coming alive through the Russia/China led Multipolar Alliance, which President Trump fought to unite with the USA, and which will have to occur after the oncoming elections if the world is to survive a tragedy that has the very real possibility of ushering in a new global dark age for centuries….”

We didn’t have clackers when I was growing up. I was pretty good with a yoyo, sucked at frisbees and was very good at hula hoops. Never did like organized sports, except for bowling.

my one claim to fame in the “sports” arena–free throw champion of the entire 8th grade class–boys and girls. hated basketball but loved to throw free throws. LOL

I was just ok but I tried out for the cheer leading squad and, since I wasn’t one of the popular girls, I didn’t get on. I ended up working on stage crew that semester. But I was in the pep club at least.
