Today is Sam Elliot’s birthday.  He was born August 9, 1944 and I always thought he was an okay guy…till recently when he narrated an ad for the maggot.  But his memes still are funny.  So the heck with the man, let’s celebrate the memes!

    2. Morning, Pat! Still no rain here – down to 54 this morning – had to put on sweats yesterday! Brrrr!!! Cloudy at the moment, with thunder clouds in the west, but not really expecting much rain until Sunday into Monday. Then again, since they’re always wrong…..No Wheezer yet this morning but I slept later than usual today. Still waiting to hear from Jason about installing my door. Sam Elliot was always one of my favorite actors – disappointing to discover he is a lefty.

    Trump assassination attempt: Pennsylvania police release bodycam from deadly Butler rally

    Police bodycam footage obtained by Fox News Digital on Thursday through a records request shows two officers attempting to intercept Thomas Matthew Crooks on a roof seconds before he allegedly tried to assassinate former President Trump at a campaign rally last month.

    The footage is taken from two officers from the Butler Township Police Department who made a desperate attempt to stop Crooks moments before he fired his DPMS AR-15 rifle, striking Trump in the ear, killing Corey Comperatore and injuring two others. 

    “F—ing this close, bro. Dude, he turned around on me,” the officer who was hoisted can be heard saying later on in bodycam video released Thursday.

    One officer can be seen hoisting another officer onto the roof where Crooks was stationed, which is about 12 feet above the ground.

    Crooks pointed his weapon at the officer who scaled the building, before the officer ultimately ducks his head and loses his grip on the roof’s edge and falls about 8 feet to the ground, spraining his ankle, Butler Township Manager Thomas Knights previously told Fox News Digital.

    The footage captures Crooks toward the end as officers surround his body after countersnipers fatally shot him.

    “I’m f—ing p—ed. We couldn’t find him,” another officer can be heard saying in the bodycam footage.

    “Before you motherf—ers came up here, I popped my head up there like an idiot by myself, dude,” the officer who was boosted onto the roof says. “Then he turned around and I f—ing dropped, and I started f—ing, I was calling out, ‘Bro, f—ing on top of the roof.’ F—ing, we’re not on the same frequency?”

    Butler Township PD Lt. Matthew Pearson told a local outlet that the officer was unable to draw his weapon since he was hanging from the building.

    Seconds later, Crooks opened fire and grazed Trump’s right ear. Three rallygoers were also shot, including Comperatore, 50, who was killed protecting his family from danger.

    Additional footage from the Butler Township police department shows officers immediately after Crooks was neutralized…

    In other bodycam video, officers are clearly confused about why the roof of the American Glass Research (AGR) building, where Crooks shot from, was unmanned. 

    “I thought you were on the roof?” one officer says.

    “Why were we not on the roof…why weren’t we?”

    “If you’d all had a gun up there … I’d have shot him. He wouldn’t have ripped out a gun up there,” one officer says in the bodycam.

    “I’d say this is a f— up…somebody f—ed up.”

    …The FBI previously revealed that Crooks had driven to the rally site at 11 a.m. on the day of the shooting and spent an hour there before heading home.

    Crooks did not return to the scene until 3:50 p.m. Local law enforcement officers, in their designated positions, spotted him for the first time around 5:10 p.m. — approximately 50 minutes before Trump took the stage, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital from Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who obtained them from the Beaver County Emergency Services Unit (ESU).

    On his return to the rally site, Crooks flew a drone about 200 yards away from where Trump was going to be speaking, according to the FBI. The FBI later said that no photos or videos were taken from the drone and that the agency found no memory card in the drone…

    At 5:30 p.m., local law enforcement snapped a picture of Crooks and escalated it to command. 

    “Kid learning around building we are in,” an officer wrote in a text message, along with an image of Crooks. “AGR I believe it is. I did see him with a range finder looking towards stage. FYI. If you wanna notify SS snipers to look out.”

    “I lost sight of him,” the officer added.

    A follow-up message said: “Call it in to command and have a uniform check it out.”

    By 6:12 p.m., the “kid” would be killed by a counter-sniper after he opened fired on the rallygoers.

    On the day of the rally, Crooks parked his vehicle and flew a drone between about 3:50 p.m. and 4 p.m. about 200 yards from where the former president would be speaking on July 13. FBI Director Christopher Wray testified during a July 17 congressional hearing that Crooks had been at the rally site for about 70 minutes the morning of the assassination attempt.

    In August 2023, Rachel Morin, a mother of 5, was raped and killed by an illegal alien. In September 2023, an illegal alien attacked a woman and her 9-year old daughter in Los Angeles. On May 14, 2024, an illegal alien from Turkey raped a 15-year-old New York girl after threatening to beat her with a pipe.

    In February 2024, a 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley was killed by an illegal alien. In June 2024, a 13-year-old New York girl was raped in broad daylight inside a Queens park by an illegal alien; Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old Houston girl, was killed by 2 illegal aliens and later found dead after being strangled and sexually assaulted; 5 illegal aliens were charged with kidnapping a 14-year-old Indiana girl.

    During her tenure as the designated border czar, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency ‘‘encountered’’ nearly 302,000 illegal aliens at the southwest border in December 2023, the highest monthly total ever recorded and representing 4 consecutive months of over 240,000 illegal alien ‘‘encounters’’.

    According to the U.S. Customs and Border data, in the first 5 months of fiscal year 2023, 106,000 pounds of drugs were seized at the southwest border, including 11,000 pounds of fentanyl. The first 5 months of fiscal year 2023 saw a 179.3-percent increase in fentanyl seizures over the same time frame in fiscal year 2022.

    According to Drug Enforcement Agency statistics, over 50,600,000 fentanyl pills were seized in 2022, including over 10,800 pounds of fentanyl powder; these fentanyl seizures are enough to kill over 379,000,000 people. Recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate that 107,735 individuals in the United States died of a drug overdose in the 12-month period ending July 2022.

    According to the U.S. Customs and Border, migrant deaths at the southwest border of the United States totaled 856 in fiscal year 2022, the deadliest year on record. A May 2017 report from Doctors Without Borders indicated that out of the number of women surveyed, nearly one-third had been sexually assaulted as they approached the southern border.

    In all of this, Kamala Devi Harris willfully and systematically refused to uphold the immigration laws, failed to control the border to the detriment of national security, compromised public safety, and violated the rule of law, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.

    Wherefore Vice President Kamala Devi Harris, by such conduct, has demonstrated that she will remain a threat to national security and the Constitution if allowed to remain in Office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law.

    Kamala Devi Harris thus warrants impeachment and trial, removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.

    Heard a conspiracy theory that Walz, traveling to China many times was connected to a large counterfeit money crime from China. Floyd arrest for counterfeit $20. Supposedly the counterfeit money evidence was being held at the Minneapolis police station that burned down after Floyd death

      The cash (alleged counterfeit) seized was $900,000 in singles (not $20’s). Who counterfeits $1 dollar bills? Also, it was a rail seizure at the Minnesota port of entry, originating from China? How do you get two pallets of $1’s from China by rail?

      The “counterfeits” we’re seized by CBP and tuned over to the US Secret Service.
      The bills were neatly packed in cardboard boxes, $20k/box, only 5 boxes short of a full $million. 🤔

    Officials were worried about safety and noted that the required permit had not been issued. California is famous for its Byzantine regulation systems, but if there’s a danger, then it should be addressed. I don’t blame the officials in this case; they were doing their jobs.

    Lemonis said he understands that but feels his flag—like the many others at Camping World locations—is safe and he wanted it to stay up  while the issue was resolved:

    “If we felt like we were putting people in danger or causing any issues with air traffic, which would absolutely not be OK, then I wouldn’t do it,” Lemonis said to FOX40.

    Lemonis argued the flagpole was secure and set deeply in the ground. If it were any other flag but the American flag, he would have no problem taking it down while the permit issues were being resolved. However, he feels strongly about keeping the American flag up, no matter what.

    “It’s symbolism about how we feel about this country. We have a lot of veterans who work for us, and a lot of veterans who shop with us,” Lemonis told Fox40. “I happen to be an immigrant. I was given the blessing of being able to enter this country and become a citizen, and I’m grateful for it. It’s been part of my life since I was a little child down in Miami, Florida, where we had the largest flag pole in Miami at our car dealership.”

    It appears that the issue has been resolved as of Thursday, and the permit has been issued. Still, I love Lemonis’ insistence on flying the flag “no matter what.”

If we can assume that is so, then Democratic strategist James Carville sounds like 10,000 screaming lunatics beating on the side of an empty oil tanker with wooden clubs. In the latest such percussionist outpouring, Carville appears to be threatening — yes, threatening — a fellow Democrat, that being Senator John Fetterman (D-PA).

    Democratic strategist James Carville on Thursday warned Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman he will take action against him for allegedly undermining his state’s governor, Josh Shapiro, by lobbying against him to be Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate.

    Fetterman’s advisers discreetly conveyed concerns about Shapiro’s prioritization of his own personal goals, three individuals familiar with the discussions told Politico. Carville, on his “Politics War Room” podcast, said he will “deal with” Fetterman after the election because of how he treated Shapiro despite the governor allegedly helping the senator get elected.

    This begs the question: “What, precisely, do you mean by this, Mr. Carville? Are you threatening a sitting United States Senator?” Because that’s sure what it looks like to me. And why would James Carville issue such a threat?

    “The other thing is, is one of the great backstabbers in modern Democratic politics is John Fetterman, but I’m going to wait ’til after the election to deal with him. But he’s somebody that must be dealt with, and must be dealt with in real terms,” Carville said.

    Co-host Al Hunt chimed in to say Fetterman “sandbagged Shapiro,” with Carville agreeing.

    “And, of course, the reason he’s in the United States Senate is because of Shapiro,” the Democratic strategist said. “If you look at the Pennsylvania election returns, 2022, and you’ll get the idea of how Josh dragged this guy across the finish line.”

    Harris selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz over Shapiro, who was previously rumored to be her top choice.

    In short: Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro helped Fetterman get elected, and then Fetterman was insufficiently enthusiastic about supporting Shapiro to be Kamala Harris’s running mate.

    Shapiro, honestly, would have been a better VP pick for Harris than the puzzling choice of Minnesota’s socialist governor, Tim Walz. He may well have been able to drag Pennsylvania over the line for the Harris campaign’s Electoral College tally, as well as being a slightly more moderate voice than Harris herself, whereas Walz can only slightly dilute Harris’s nuttiness by being even nuttier. But Harris clearly chose not to annoy the Democrat’s Dearbornistan Caucus, and would almost certainly have chosen Lockdown Tim Walz as her running mate regardless of what Fetterman said. 

    This leaves us wondering what, precisely, Carville means when he says he will “deal with” Fetterman. Granted, there’s no love lost between the two. Fetterman has previously told Carville to “shut the f*** up” over Fetterman’s support for befuddled old Joe Biden, who Carville was at that time warning could not win an election against Donald Trump; in this, Carville was correct, as Biden in his current state would lose a debate with a boiled potato.

    But that doesn’t excuse his overtly threatening a United States Senator.”

    Just The News: “After more than three and a half years of a border crisis, Texas followed Florida on a key immigration issue, this time to determine how much taxpayers are footing the bill for illegal foreign nationals receiving medical care in public hospitals.

    Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a three-page Executive Order directing the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to collect information on illegal foreign nationals who receive inpatient and emergency care at Texas public hospitals. It also requires HHSC to annually report all inpatient and emergency care costs incurred for illegal foreign nationals to the governor and state legislature in order for the state to seek reimbursement from the federal government.

    “Due to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ open border policies, Texas has had to foot the bill for medical costs for individuals illegally in the state,” Abbott said. “Texans should not have to shoulder the burden of financially supporting medical care for illegal immigrants. That is why today I issued an Executive Order requiring the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to collect and report healthcare costs for illegal immigrants in our state. Texas will hold the Biden-Harris Administration accountable for the consequences of their open border policies, and we will fight to ensure that they pay back Texas for their costly and dangerous policies.”

    Abbott’s order cites a disaster proclamation he issued on May 31, 2021, due to the surge of illegal border crossers in Texas who “posed and the ongoing and imminent threat of disaster for a number of Texas counties and for all state agencies affected by this disaster.”

    Since April 21, 2021, at least 55 counties have declared an invasion and 60 counties have issued disaster declarations citing the border crisis, The Center Square has exclusively reported.

    Abbott’s order also cites the record number of “more than 11,000,000 people—a number larger than the population of 40 different states— entering the country illegally in less than four years under the Biden-Harris administration.” His number excludes at least 2 million gotaways, those who evaded capture and are in the country illegally, exclusively reported by The Center Square.

    The order cites examples of Biden-Harris “open-border policies that invite mass illegal entry into Texas,” ignore federal laws and have contributed “to the growth of uncompensated medical costs.” Because federal law requires that any individual must be allowed to obtain emergency medical treatment at a publicly funded medical facility regardless of immigration status, or willingness or ability to pay for treatment, Texas is absorbing “a large percentage of the costs associated with medical care for individuals who are not lawfully president in the United States,” he states.

    Not only do illegal foreign nationals receiving taxpayer-funded medical care create a burden for taxpayers, but they also increase medical care costs for all Texans, he notes.

    “The federal government may and should be obligated to reimburse the state of Texas for the costs that its open border policies have imposed on Texans, costs of which the state had no notice and which it could not have anticipated when agreeing to shared health funding mechanisms on the premise that the federal government would follow federal laws.”

    The order directs acute care hospitals enrolled in Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program and any additional providers identified by HHSC to collect required information beginning Nov. 1, 2024. It also directs covered hospitals to report the required data to HHSC quarterly, with initial submissions due March 1, 2025; and to report required data annually beginning Jan. 1, 2026, to the governor and heads of the state legislature. Hospitals are also directed to inform patients that federal law mandates that any response to such questions will not affect their medical care, the order states.

    The order follows hearings held this summer by the state legislature and U.S. House to ascertain the taxpayer burden of illegal immigration.

    Abbott’s order follows one issued by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in September 2021.His 13-page executive order outlines numerous examples of the Biden-Harris administration’s refusal to enforce federal immigration law and the impact on states. DeSantis’ order also addresses thousands of unaccompanied minors being resettled to Florida, the third greatest number behind Texas and California, The Center Square reported.

    After the administration began flying hundreds of thousands of illegal foreign nationals from the border to states across the country, DeSantis said, “it is necessary to collect additional data and information on illegal aliens who have resettled in Florida from the Southwest Border, the illegal alien population in Florida generally, and the impact of illegal immigration on the health, safety, welfare, and prosperity of Floridians.”

    DeSantis’ order also covers multiple state agencies, requiring them to collect a range of data related to illegal foreign nationals residing in Florida. After it was implemented, his office reported that taxpayers spent nearly $340 million on illegal foreign nationals admitted to Florida hospitals in fiscal 2021, up from $312 million in fiscal 2020.

    The state also found that medical facilities appeared to have lost money because they were only “paid for 33% of costs attributed to illegal aliens,” largely through federal subsidies and charity aid, The Center Square reported.”

  18. Just The News: “Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced on Thursday that multiple states have sued the Biden-Harris administration over a rule that allows illegal immigrants to receive government-subsidized health insurance under Obamacare.

    Kobach’s office said that rule is a violation of a 1996 federal law that prevents illegal immigrants from receiving public benefits. The rule circumvents that law by characterizing DACA recipients as “lawfully present” in the U.S.

    “The Biden-Harris administration shouldn’t get a free pass to violate federal law. Americans can’t afford to foot the healthcare bills of millions of illegal aliens while they’re struggling to pay for groceries and utilities,” Kobach said in a statement. “That’s why as Kansas Attorney General I am leading a multistate lawsuit to stop this illegal regulation from going into effect.”
