    ANSWERS:

    TRUE

The first modern Father’s Day was rooted in tragedy.

On July 5, 1908—the same year that Mother’s Day is credited as beginning—a small church in West Virginia held the first public event meant to specifically honor the fathers of their community. The day was held in remembrance of the 362 men who were killed the previous December in a mining explosion at the Fairmont Coal Company. Though this specific day did not transform into an annual tradition in the town, it did set a precedent of reserving a day for dads everywhere.

    Washington

Washington was the first state to celebrate Father’s Day.

In 1909, Spokane resident Sonora Smart Dodd was listening to a Mother’s Day sermon at her local church when she had the idea to try and establish a similar day to honor the hard-working fathers of the community. Dodd was the daughter of a widower and Civil War veteran named William Jackson Smart, who raised six children on his own after his wife died during childbirth.

She contacted local church groups, government officials, YMCAs, businesses, and other official entities, hoping to gather the community to recognize fathers around the state of Washington. The campaign Dodd embarked upon would eventually culminate in the first statewide Father’s Day celebration in 1910.

Father’s Day takes place on the third Sunday in June.

While Father’s Day always takes place on the third Sunday of June now, that date was actually a compromise after the original turned out to be unrealistic. Dodd’s goal was for the holiday to be observed on June 5 to land on her father’s birthday, but when the mayor of Spokane and local churches asked for more time to prepare for all the festivities involved, it was moved to the third Sunday in June, where it remains today. Officially, the first Father’s Day celebration took place on June 19, 1910.

    Roses

Roses were originally a big part of the Father’s Day celebration.

The first Father’s Day included a church service where daughters would hand red roses to their fathers during the mass. The roses were also pinned onto the clothing of children to further honor their fathers—red roses for a still-living father and a white rose for the deceased. Dodd also brought roses and gifts to any father in the community who was unable to make it to the service. This gave birth to the now-nearly-forgotten tradition of roses as the customary flower of Father’s Day.

    Parent’s Day

In the 1920s and ’30s, there was a movement to get rid of Mother’s Day and the burgeoning Father’s Day celebrations and instead join the two holidays as a unified Parents’ Day. Robert Spere (also known as Robert Spero), a philanthropist and children’s radio entertainer, saw the holidays as a “division of respect and affection” for parents, especially during a time when Father’s Day hadn’t officially been recognized nationwide.

“We should all have love for dad and mother every day, but Parents’ Day on the second Sunday in May is a reminder that both parents should be loved and respected together,” Spere told The New York Times in 1931. The movement died out in the ’40s, but if it had gone through, we’d all be celebrating Parents’ Day every year with the slogan, “A kiss for mother, a hug for dad.”

    1972

It took until 1966 for President Lyndon Johnson to make a nationwide proclamation endorsing Father’s Day across the country. In his proclamation, Johnson wrote that on June 19, 1966, “I invite State and local governments to cooperate in the observance of that day; and I urge all our people to give public and private expression to the love and gratitude which they bear for their fathers.”

Nowhere in Johnson’s proclamation did it say anything about what would happen on Father’s Day the next year, though, and the corresponding Joint Resolution specified “the third Sunday in June of 1966.” It wasn’t until President Richard Nixon signed Public Law 92-278 that Father’s Day was permanently recognized by the federal government.

    Saint Joseph.

For Catholics in Europe, the idea of Father’s Day stretches back to feasts established in the Middle Ages to honor Saint Joseph on March 19. The celebration was prevalent in countries like Spain, France, and Italy, and as it focused on Joseph—the foster father of Jesus—it eventually turned into a day to honor the institution of fatherhood in general. Though many European countries have adopted a more secular observance of Father’s Day, some still uphold the tradition of linking it to Saint Joseph’s Day.

    Lighters

The traditional feasts and celebrations around Saint Joseph began to fade in 20th-century Europe, especially in the years after World War II, so to reignite consumer interest in spending money on dear ol’ dad, a French lighter company called Flaminaire created a new Father’s Day in 1949 to help sell their products. With the help of an expansive ad campaign, the company drummed up brand awareness in the guise of a holiday, and Father’s Day (called Fête des Pères) has been observed in France ever since.

Americans are expected to spend more than $20 billion on Father’s Day gifts.

All those barbecue accessories, coffee mugs, and screwdriver sets add up: Americans are expected to spend about $20 billion on gifts in 2022 for Father’s Day, with clothing and “special outing” gear making up the bulk of the gifts.

    Less.

Though Father’s Day is big business in the commercial marketplace, it still exists in the shadow of mom. In 2022, the National Retail Federation (NRF) found that Americans spent $31.7 billion on Mother’s Day gifts like flowers, apparel, dinner, and spa days—a $3.6 billion increase from 2021’s spending.

    25%

Father’s Day means big business for the greeting card industry. The holiday is the fourth most popular day for exchanging cards, with approximately 72 million flying off shelves annually. Hallmark—which has been producing Father’s Day cards since the early 1920s—boasts more than 800 different designs for dad, with humor cards accounting for 25 percent of the cards sold. The NRF estimates that cards account for 58 percent of all Father’s Day gifts—whether the person honors dad only with a card or includes it with a larger gift.

I’ve never liked eggs much, either, or potatoes, so I can support ranchers and farmers in theory, but tend towards home grown grains and veggies, myself. Factory farming of all varieties, and the packaging required to distribute it gives me the shivers. 1. Morning, Pat! I’ve got your sun…for a while anyway – it will be clouding up later. 66 and clear this morning, altho the humidity levels are going up as we speak – Wheezer’s bowl was empty when I got up. She must have been nearby because as soon as I filled it and put it back on the patio, she showed up to eat then promptly left again.

I’m still waffling on when to go to Norfolk – a possible big storm w/a slight chance of a tornado is predicted for tomorrow afternoon, with temps in the 90’s, so I may just go today whether I get the rebate check or not.

So far, so good with the squirrels and the nectar feeders…..it’s working for the moment at least.

the grosbeaks and the orioles are finally eating together at the little jelly feeder! they would stand on opposite sides on the railing and stare each other down for a few days, but now they are eating from the feeder on opposite sides of the dish. progress!
just be VERY careful tomorrow if you go…tornadoes are very dangerous!!!!

I still can’t tell if I’ve got any Grosbeaks on my feeder – but whatever they are, they are ALL in my back yard!!! LOL – still refilling it twice a day.

WOW 🚨 American Farmer Blowing The Whistle On US Government JUNE 2024, Idaho Farmer’s Water Is Being Shut Off. “A water shutoff order on literally a half million acres of farmland. — A lot of these farmers, and this impacts about 6,400 water users.” “Property like this will become worthless. Without water, the land doesn’t have any value here.” “The state of Idaho has put a water curtailment order which is basically a water shutoff order on literally a half million acres of farmland. ‌ — But a lot of these farmers that are farming this land have already invested thousands of acres, thousands of dollars per acre to grow potatoes. Good morning everyone. My name is Trevor Belknap. I operate a family farm, a fifth generation family farm in the Snake River Valley of eastern Idaho. I just wanted to visit with you for a minute about the impacts of the water curtailment order that’s been issued by Director Weaver from the Outer Department of Water Resources. ‌ The situation which we find ourselves is about as bad as it gets. Not only will we be out of business, many other businesses will be highly impacted and you as my friends and neighbors will also be impacted because we’re so interconnected. If the ag economy in eastern Idaho fails, which it surely will if this containment order is in place, it can remain in place, we’ll dry up and blow away just like it did back in the dust bowl of the 30s. Banks will fail. Equipment dealers, car dealers, gas stations, grocery stores, all rely on the ag economy that’s here in eastern Idaho. The children in our schools, how many of them belong to families who work in some form of ag industry in eastern Idaho? It’s horrible. And we need to fix it. And I would propose to you that it is not a water problem, it’s a management problem. Because we have water. Reservoirs are full. The mountains are covered in snow. The river’s been flowing well. ‌ So why now? Why after we’ve planted our crops, we have crops in the ground that are already growing. Now, in the middle of June, they pull a curtailment order to say, you must cease pumping water. The cost is huge. An acre of potatoes costs upward of $4,000 an acre to grow. How will that ever be recovered? They will not grow without water. And what will that do to everyone else that’s reliant upon us in this area and the state of Idaho? What will the counties do for roads and bridges, police departments, ambulances, hospitals that rely on tax the tax base. Property like this will become worthless. Without water, the land doesn’t have any value here.”

              1. I’m researching the Idaho set-up. Governor Brad Little. Idaho Water Resources board set up in 1965. Current Director Mathew Weaver via the Board issued a curtailment order May 30 due to a “projected shortfall of 74,000 acre-feet of water to Twin Falls Canal Co., which has senior water rights” according to Governor Little’s Blah Blah page. There are 6,400 junior groundwater rights holders to the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer. An acre-foot is about 326,000 gallons, enough water to cover an acre one foot in water.

                1. There is more. In 1894 the US Congress passeded the Carey Act that allowed states to request the setting aside of federal land for private investors. Irrigation systems were to be developed in accordance with pre- approved plans for an irrigation system. This prompted I B Perrine and other investors to start the Twin Falls Canal Company. The entrymen paid the Twin falls Land and Water for the water, developed 20 acres with irrigation water, paid the state 50 cents/acre, and obtained patents for the land.

In 1894, Grover Cleveland was US president.

                2. so in your research, have you figured out why they want to curtail the water rights at this point in time? the farmers says the reservoirs are full and there’s snow on the mountains (so potentially more water from the snow melt in summer)…so why now? after the crops were planted?

                  Liked by 1 person

                3. I suspect development pressure from Idaho cities and real estste developers on the Idaho Water Resources Devopment Board. Governor Little has appointed a Groundwater Management Plan Advisory Council to “find solutions outside government” and the Director Weaver’s mitigation plan assumes an “”ongoing dwindling supply of water in the Eastern Snake Plain aquifer,” which feeds the Snake River. Little’s administration has appointed the Groundwater Management Plan Advisory Council to “find solutions outside government” and Weaver “must follow the approved mitigation plans under “Idaho law and the Constitution”, according to websites from the governor’s office and from the Twin Rivers Canal Company. KO take: Yet another example of the Loopdeloop World of Public-Private Partnerships. Blame the Twin Rivers, Idaho Canal Company’s claim of senior water rights if the cost of your McDonalds french fries goes up next year.

      FTA

Jill Biden is billing the U.S. government for the $345,400 in flights, the National Taxpayers Union Foundation estimated, according to the newspaper.

Fox News estimated that the cost could be even higher since the government plane the first lady usually flies in is usually rated at $200,000 per flight hour.

The Democratic Party is picking up a little bit of the tab and will pay what the flight would have cost if Biden had flown commercially. But taxpayers will pick up the rest.

“In accordance with relevant regulations utilized across administrations, the government is reimbursed the value of a first-class fare for these flights to Wilmington and back to Paris,” the first lady’s office told the Daily Mail.

    5. EXCERPT: “FBI officials conducting a top-secret security clearance review for a longtime employee asked witnesses whether that employee was known to support former President Donald Trump, if he had expressed concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine or had attended a Second Amendment rally, according to internal memos that prompted a complaint to the Justice Department’s internal watchdog alleging political bias inside the bureau.

The employee’s security clearance was revoked months after the interviews, which confirmed his support for Trump and gun rights and his concerns about the COVID vaccine, according to the documents obtained by Just the News.

The memos show that agents for the FBI’s Security Division asked at least three witnesses in spring 2022 whether the employee, whose name and job title was redacted from the memos, had been known to “vocalize support for President Trump” or “vocalize objections to Covid-19 vaccination.” Agents ascertained from at least one witness that the worker, in fact, had declined to get the coronavirus inoculation.

The latter questions about the vaccine were asked in spring 2022, a few months after the U.S. Supreme Court had struck down vaccine mandates in corporate workplaces and a separate federal court had issued an injunction on federal employee vaccine mandates.

The agents also asked witnesses whether the FBI worker had “attended the Richmond Lobby Day event” in January 2021, a rally for supporters of the Second Amendment in Virginia. The agents’ notes referred to the colleague they were vetting as a “gun nut” but who in engaged in “no promotion of violence.”

    6. Good morning, Miss Pat!

A good father is a rare treasure these days!

The lack of a father’s love and guidance creates a painful void that is felt for a lifetime. There are at least 4 books titled Father Hunger.

Abusive, angry, addicted, apathetic, abandoning fathers also create deep wounds, and there are many books to help children of these types of men, learn to see GOD as our Good Father.

Those who had a good father should thank GOD for this great blessing!

    7. National Pulse: “Ex-Clinton Aide Becomes Key Advisor to RFK Jr.”

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Clinton campaign veteran Jay Carson has emerged as a top political advisor to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his independent bid for the White House. Carson, 47, has a notable history in Democratic politics. He served as press secretary for Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign. His political experience also includes work for Bill Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Tom Daschle, Howard Dean, and Michael Bloomberg. Carson describes Anita Dunn, a senior adviser to Joe Biden, as a significant influence in his political career.

Over a decade ago, Carson transitioned from politics to Hollywood, becoming a producer for the television series House of Cards and the creator of The Morning Show. During this period, the former Clinton aide began the process of achieving sobriety. It was at a 12-step meeting that he first met Kennedy.

Carson has provided strategic advice to Kennedy’s campaign in the past year. While acting as an informal adviser, he has assisted with campaign staffing, communications, and field operations. Carson also produced and appeared in a 30-minute advertisement for Kennedy, funded by a supporting SuperPAC. His advice has been instrumental in discussions regarding potential running mates. Kennedy frequently contacts Carson for counsel, often with the text message, “Please call Bobby.”

Kennedy relied on Carson’s guidance after the former faced media backlash over his apparent solidarity with the January 6 Capitol riot defendants. “If it’s not what you believe, just say you messed up,” Carson told Kennedy, with the independent presidential candidate taking his advice.

In describing his turn from Democrat Party insider turned-Kennedy advisor, Carson pointed to disillusionment with the overly cautious and uninspiring Party elite. The Democrat Party’s risk-averse culture means it is vulnerable to charismatic, populist challengers, according to Carson. In a May 2016 Instagram post featuring an image of Donald J. Trump, Carson wrote: “Here’s the really bad news — this guy can win a general election pretty damn easily.”

    10. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/4710804-trump-calls-for-political-vengeance-worry-senate-gop/

Some Senate Republicans are expressing concerns over former President Trump’s calls for political vengeance after the 2024 election, warning that retaliatory prosecutions will lead the country down a bad road.

The Senate GOP’s top leaders — Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Whip John Thune (S.D.) — have shown no desire to embrace Trump’s calls to prosecute senior Biden administration officials or his longtime nemesis Hillary Clinton.

And some GOP senators are pushing back against conservative colleagues who want to freeze Justice Department funding or defund special counsel Jack Smith’s criminal prosecutions of Trump.

They don’t want to stumble into a government shutdown by waging war over the Justice Department’s budget or taking other retaliatory steps favored by Trump’s allies.

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) says he thought Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) case against Trump was “an unjust prosecution.”

But he’s concerned about Trump’s vow to retaliate with politically motivated prosecutions from his own Justice Department if he’s elected in November.

“This is not the direction we want this country to go,” he said. “I think it’s time for adults to take over with regard to the Senate, and it’s time for adults to take over in regards [to] how we treat the judicial climate in this country. — The Hill

Our Take: Let’s cut through all the bulls***.

I thoroughly enjoyed the DPH crew’s analysis on Saturday night of the Dr. Phil-Trump interview. I completely agree with Patrick that we witnessed an emissary of the Empire begging, on behalf of the oligarchy, for their lives.

Listening to these reprobates opine about “fair justice” is rather nauseating, though I do get tickled pink when I hear Andrew McCabe vent about sleepless nights and somber conversations over which foreign nations have the most favorable extradition laws. (Hint: when it comes to pedophilia, the answer is Israel.)

I suppose these arguments about “revenge” and “political retribution” are somewhat compelling to the eunuch demographic, but may I suggest an alternative strategy that may subvert, entirely, these pedantic diversions?

Go after the Republican traitors first.

Think about it. If the first group of parasites targeted for “treatment” (talking about criminal prosecution, Maddow; keep your shirt on) happen to have little R’s next to their name, then that, technically, is not political persecution. It actually makes Trump’s decision to stick with the GOP, rather than go third-party, a pretty genius move. And you get the added benefit of putting the righteous fear of God into the Democrats, who will have to stand by and witness, in horror, as their colleagues are eaten alive by the Justice System, right in front of them. (It’s a metaphor, clowns, ever heard of it?)

Personally, I think Washington DC is long overdue for a true season of fear; Not one that is inspired by vigilantes and violent chaos, but one that is inspired by the rule of law, and the order of civilized men. — GhostofBasedPatrickHenry

    11. https://www.breitbart.com/health/2024/06/10/college-of-pediatricians-slams-flawed-science-of-gender-affirming-care/

Our Take: Most Americans don’t care who you have sex with — unless you find it appropriate to talk about with children. When adults crave an audience of children for their perversion, you’re dealing with psychopaths.

Psychopathy is ‘characterized by impaired empathy and remorse, and bold, disinhibited and egocentric traits masked by superficial charm, and the outward appearance of apparent normalcy.’ When you allow psychopaths to have access to kids, you end up with mutilated, suicidal kids. ‘But the doctor seemed so nice!’

      Yep. Psychopath.

There is no medical or moral argument in favor of supporting gender affirming care for children, given what we know about its impacts. Gender affirming care is not only destroying childhood innocence in favor of mad science, it serves as a beard for pedophilia. Good on the College of Pediatricians for taking this position. Better late than never.

While it’s taking longer than expected for reality to reassert itself in the current gender moment, reality will reassert itself. It’s inevitable. Anecdotally, Pride celebrations seem more muted in 2024 than in recent Junes. It’s still all rainbows here in Colorado, but alphabet community activists are cautioning exhibitionists to save the orgy for the after party; that is, don’t have group sex at noon in the middle of the street with children watching.

      Baby steps, I guess.

Maybe it’s the election year thing, and Democrats want to appear less insane, perverse, and destructive. Maybe it’s the increasing public backlash against rainbow communism. Either way, the change this month is undeniable as reality reasserts. And that’s a good thing. — Ashe in America

    12. “Donald Trump’s three golf courses in New Jersey could be going dry. The New Jersey state’s attorney general is weighing whether to pull Trump’s liquor licenses after he was found guilty by a jury of 34 felony counts, Forbes reported Monday.

According to the report:, someone from the AG’s office is quoted as saying:  “Trump is the sole owner of three golf courses in New Jersey that have active liquor licenses, according to the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control. New Jersey law prohibits issuing a liquor license to anyone who has been convicted of a crime ‘involving moral turpitude.’ A state handbook explains that those sorts of crimes typically involve ‘dishonesty, fraud or depravity’ severe enough to typically be punishable by more than a year in prison.”

All of the shit they accuse him of they are guilty of in the first place. They say he’ll be a ‘tyrant’ when that’s exactly what they are. This is vindictiveness as plain as the nose on your face. The little-dick petty motherfuckers. Juss’ sayin’…”

    13. a momma doe and her baby were just out crossing the driveway–it’s sooo tiny like a small dog. then right behind her, coming out the woods was the same female turkey that’s been hanging around for a long time. no babies with her though. a small deer (last year’s baby) came out after that. Deer trails are certainly well used in the woods.

        1. Just The News: “The jury in the Hunter Biden gun trial on Tuesday found the first son guilty on all three federal charges in connection with the purchase of a gun in 2018.

Biden was on trial for having stated on the gun purchase application that he did not use drugs, while allegedly having been addicted to crack cocaine.

The charges on which he was found guilty include make a false statement on the gun application and being in possession of firearm while being a drug user.

Biden now faces up to 25 years in prison, and a fine of up to $750,000, according to court filings. However, first time offenders rarely get the maximum penalty.

Responding publicly to the verdict for the first time, Biden said he is “more grateful for the love and support” of his family than he is “disappointed by the outcome.”

“Recovery is possible by the grace of God, and I am blessed to experience that gift one day at a time,” he added, according to CNN.

Hunter Biden is set to be sentenced by District Judge Maryellen Noreika, which she said is normally scheduled for 120 days after the conviction, according to CNN. This means the first son will likely be sentenced in mid-October, shortly before his father will face Donald Trump in a presidential election rematch.

The verdict cames after six days of testimony from witnesses that include ex-girlfriends, an ex-wife, and law enforcement officials. Biden did not testify in his own case. This is the first time that a child of a sitting president has been convicted of a crime, though the crimes occurred more than two years before Joe Biden’s inauguration.

In a brief statement after his son’s conviction, President Biden promised to respect the outcome of the trial. “As I said last week, I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today. So many families who have had loved ones battle addiction understand the feeling of pride seeing someone you love come out the other side and be so strong and resilient in recovery,” Biden said, according to CNN.

“As I also said last week, I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that,” he added.

Special Counsel Weiss delivered a public statement Tuesday afternoon following the conviction. “There have been two overarching themes emphasized by the prosecution: this defendant’s illegal choices and the rule of law.”

“Ultimately this case was not just about addiction. This case was about the illegal choices the defendant made while in the throws of addiction,” Weiss said. “It was these choices—and the combination of guns and drugs—that made this defendant’s choices dangerous.”

Weiss also thanked President Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, for providing the necessary “support” and allowing the special counsel’s office to pursue the investigation with “independence.”

i dunno myself. are they making an example of him? you know the old “rule of law” applies to erbody?
OR are they seriously getting rid of the maggot and they will “allow” him to pardon hunter on HIS WAY OUT?
the one article stated there were several blacks on the jury–and if they convicted for this kind of crime, so should the privileged white boy.

Met Mom at WM and transferred the 4 boxes of stuff for my Sis. I also returned several horse plates that Mom had given me as gifts – she can wrap them up and that will be her gift for her great-great GD, who turns 10 this year. Up to 86 now, humidity rising, and nary a breeze!

Try Reverse worrying: Being giddy with positivity is equally as irrational and WAY MORE FUN, ATTRACTIVE and PRODUCTIVE.

      Picasso (yep!)

To be more successful tomorrow than you were today, there’s a simple formula that’s done more for me than the hundreds of success and self help books I’ve read over the years:

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Doesn’t have to be all the freaking time. Just Keep it Simple: At least ONCE DAILY, Push Yourself to do something small that scares the hell out of you.

Most of your growth, opportunities, peak moments and natural highs are hidden just outside of your personal comfort zone. The great thing is… you already know what that area is, and what makes you uncomfortable.

It’s the thing you’re avoiding today, and probably the sales call, relationship move, hobby or business launch, or confrontation you need most. Do it, and you’ll get a natural high and leap forwards in progress bigger than a $5000 weekend walking fire with Tony Robbins will get you.

It’s also, almost certainly, the action with the BIGGEST POSSIBLE PAYOFF you can do today.

Keep it small. Do ONE THING TODAY & Repeat tomorrow for the rest of your life

    16. Just The News: “Former President Donald Trump’s legal team on Tuesday announced a motion to dismiss special counsel Jack Smith’s classified documents case, just one day after U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon rejected a separate motion for dismissal.

“President Trump’s attorneys have filed a powerful motion asking Judge Cannon to fully and completely dismiss the ‘boxes’ Hoax due to the illegal actions by Crooked Joe Biden’s Department of Injustice in its shocking failure to preserve the boxes taken from President Trump’s home in the unconstitutional and unAmerican raid on Mar-a-Lago,” Trump Communications Director Steven Cheung said in a statement.

“Deranged Jack Smith was forced to admit in a public filing that he and his Thugs committed blatant Evidence Tampering by mishandling the very documents they used as pretext to bring this Fake Case. This scam, and all other Crooked Joe – directed Witch Hunts against President Trump, should be DROPPED IMMEDIATELY,” he added.

      Trump motion to dismiss

Smith’s office in May admitted that key evidence in the case had been altered or manipulated since its seizure by the FBI and that prosecutors had misled the court.

“Since the boxes were seized and stored, appropriate personnel have had access to the boxes for several reasons, including to comply with orders issued by this Court in the civil proceedings noted above, for investigative purposes, and to facilitate the defendants’ review of the boxes,” the office informed Cannon. “There are some boxes where the order of items within that box is not the same as in the associated scans.”

“The Government acknowledges that this is inconsistent with what Government counsel previously understood and represented to the Court,” his office also wrote.

Trump has previously filed a litany of motions to dismiss the charges, all of which Cannon has thus far rejected. In April, for instance, she rejected a dismissal bid in which Trump argued that the documents he stored at Mar-a-Lago were his personal records.”

      1. I hope this motion has legs! after all, tampering with the evidence is a big deal. how can the defense be assured those items were actually IN the boxes? there was no witness ALLOWED to watch the search iirc. i thought your lawyer was allowed to be there to make sure everything was on the up and up.

    17. “Hunter’s Gun Charges Mean NOTHING”

      CLANDESTINE, JUN 11, 2024

“I don’t give a damn about gun charges. This is just a slap on the wrist to make it look like the DOJ were looking into Hunter’s criminality. Just like Hillary with Comey’s speedy “investigation” of her private email server before the 2016 election, they are hoping this will appease the public so they can move past it.

Meanwhile, Hunter is heavily involved in the Ukrainian bio network, and is being alleged of crimes against humanity by the Russian and Chinese government

Pictured is a slide from Russian MoD’s formal allegations to the UN, regarding US bioweapon development in Ukraine. Hunter, via Rosemont Seneca, secured the funding for these nefarious US labs in Ukraine that were doing research on bat coronaviruses as early as 2014.

The gun charges mean nothing if the true crimes go unpunished.”

It’s a farce that Hunter wasn’t charged with:

        A: federal income tax crimes,

        B: money laundering,

        C: influence peddling and

        D: FARA crimes

I thought the federal judge ordered that the additional crimes be charged because Weiss was denied permission by Garland???
