In the realm of state symbols, flowers hold a special place, representing the natural beauty and heritage of a region. When it comes to Georgia, the state flower is the Cherokee Rose. This elegant and resilient flower carries deep significance in Georgia’s history and culture. In this article, we will explore the Cherokee Rose as the state flower for Georgia, uncovering its origins, characteristics, and the symbolic meaning it holds. From its delicate blooms to its enduring spirit, we will delve into the rich tapestry of the Cherokee Rose, providing valuable insights and fostering a deeper appreciation for this cherished symbol.
The Cherokee Rose: A Historical and Cultural Emblem
The Cherokee Rose (Rosa laevigata) holds great historical significance in Georgia, particularly in relation to the Native American tribe from which it derives its name. Here, we will delve into the history and cultural associations of the Cherokee Rose:
Origins and Naming
The Cherokee Rose is native to East Asia but gained prominence in the southeastern United States, including Georgia. It is believed that the flower was introduced to North America by early European settlers.
The Cherokee Rose earned its name in honor of the Cherokee Native American tribe, which inhabited the region where the flower thrived. The association between the Cherokee people and the rose stems from a tale of hardship and resilience during the Trail of Tears.
The Trail of Tears
The Trail of Tears refers to the forced removal of Native American tribes, including the Cherokee, from their ancestral lands in the southeastern United States to Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma) in the 1830s. This devastating event resulted in the loss of thousands of lives and marked a dark chapter in American history.
According to legend, the Cherokee Rose grew along the route traveled by the Cherokee people during their forced relocation. As they endured immense suffering and loss, it is said that the tears shed by Cherokee women transformed into the delicate white petals of the rose, symbolizing their resilience and strength in the face of adversity.

Characteristics and Symbolism of the Cherokee Rose
The Cherokee Rose is a deciduous climbing rose that features intricate and fragrant white blooms. Here, we will explore the characteristics and symbolic meaning associated with this captivating flower:
Appearance and Growth Habits
The Cherokee Rose is characterized by its elegant and abundant white flowers, which typically bloom in spring or early summer. Its blooms have a distinct yellow center, surrounded by layers of delicate petals. The plant itself is known for its climbing nature, often adorning fences, trellises, and walls with its sprawling vines.
Symbolic Significance
The Cherokee Rose holds deep symbolic meaning, reflecting both the resilience of the Cherokee people and the spirit of Georgia. Here are some interpretations associated with the Cherokee Rose:
Resilience and Strength: The Cherokee Rose serves as a symbol of resilience, representing the endurance and strength of the Cherokee people in the face of great adversity. Its presence along the Trail of Tears serves as a reminder of the perseverance and fortitude displayed by the Native American tribe during their forced relocation.
Beauty and Fragility: The delicate white blooms of the Cherokee Rose evoke a sense of beauty and fragility. Despite the hardships faced by the Cherokee people, the flower symbolizes their ability to find beauty amidst challenging circumstances, offering a source of hope and inspiration.
Unity and Heritage: The Cherokee Rose holds a unifying significance, symbolizing the shared heritage and cultural legacy of the Cherokee people. It serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and honoring Native American traditions and history.

Good morning, Miss Pat! The Cherokee Rose is another of my State flowers along with the Orange Blossom. I didn’t realize until I read your post, that the GA State flower wasn’t native to the USA. Now I’m wondering if any roses are native to N America?
There are native rhododendrons aka azaleas, and I know many of their names, because Sally Q’s dad grew those as well as daylilies aka hemerocallis.
I don’t know if I’ve ever smelled the Cherokee Rose, but I do love the scent of roses. My city has many rose gardens and I used to go smell the roses in my neighborhood. Each color rose had a slightly different fragrance. Each rose variety has a different fragrance too. Floribunda roses smell different than tea roses….and so on.
Another climbing rose beloved around here is the soft pale yellow Lady Banks rose, and it’s thornless.

Morning GA!
how pretty they are!
i tried growing roses at our house…we had woods there but the garden got wonderful sun. i had lilies and roses. the deer ate my rose buds. so we got deer off to spray on them–never ever again! it smells like rotten eggs–so of course they didn’t go near them, but then neither could we! lol

You would have to have a very tall fence to protect your flowers from the dear little deer!

yes, they’ll eat anything young and tender. I have a small vegetable garden that we have fenced in. i plant marigolds in the cinder blocks just inside the fence–deer don’t like the smell supposedly. and yet every year i get pictures of the deer laying in the sun with their backs up against the fence in front of the garden…lol
we have our grapevines fenced in on the hill behind the house, but they discovered they can jump down into the area from above. they will eat the big tender grape leaves and then the raccoons will get in and eat the grapes…sigh
I have pictures of a deer lying in the enclosure. some times i wonder why i try

I’m heading back to the Village this morning after I unload and reload my bags and the car. Each trip requires a reorganization.
Sweet miracle – I had a sweet loving visit and hug from my other daughter, Sally Q’s much neglected sister.
The impact of Sally’s disease, her behavior, needs and care, did a number on our family. As one nursing professor at FSU said in an interview, “When a patient is diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia, the whole family gets it.”

AWESOME tweet found on CTH Daily Presidential comment thread today:
https://x.com/DocNetyoutube/status/1793637684134486101
Here’s the full text:
I apologize, this tweet is going to be brutal and honest.
Kenny, you are the biggest piece of trash race baiter on this entire platform. You want to talk about reparations?
Fine, let’s talk about reparations.
1.) First of all, white people did not enslave us, our own people enslaved us and sold us off to all kinds of people of color, not just white people.
2.) 500,000 men died in the civil war setting our asses free. That is your reparation.
3.) Perhaps we should pay white people reparations, after all, we are 12 percent of the population, and we commit 50 percent of the crime. White people pay taxes to pay the lazy brothers and sisters on welfare.
4) We have had the benefit of affirmative action and have we have grants and free education, does our people take advantage of that? No, they bitch and moan and want the checks.
5.) Slavery enabled our people to come to America and be part of the greatest country ever to exist. Yet, that is not enough. I don’t know about you Kenny, but my black ass is happy I am here and not in Africa.
6.) The honest truth is Kenny, our people are lazy. Most of our people either DEAL OR STEAL.
7.) You want to close the gap, Kenny? No, you are a narcissistic asshole who gets off on white people filling your feed up and kissing your ass like you are the second coming of MLK.
8.) To all the white people who follow and worship this asshole: What are you thinking? This man hates you. He is not a leader, he is in fact, a racist.
Yes, racism is alive, but not the old school racism you are thinking off, it is new school anti-white racism. Yes, I said it and it is true. DEI, BLM, CRT and other bullshit has caused a backlash against white people. You keep this type of racism alive and well.
9.) So, Kenny, here is the deal, I will pay for your ticket back to Africa and will give you 15k to start your life over. 15k goes a long way in Africa. All you have to do is renounce your citizenship and leave. For me, getting rid of one race baiter at a time is worth it.
10.) Can some of my white brothers and sisters tell me why in the hell so many white people follow this man and worship him? What the hell are they thinking? I am not afraid to be black.
You should not be afraid to be white. You don’t owe me shit. I will not ask for reparations, if reparations were to be paid tomorrow, I would donate the money. This bullshit needs to stop.
11.) But you are right about one thing Kenny. Slavery still exists. Yes, it does. You see, 60 years ago, after years of trying to lynch us to get us out of the country, the democrats came up with a brilliant plan, they could buy us on the cheap and keep us voting for them for years to come.
LBJ, a democratic President who hated black people and killed every civil rights bill that came up during his time in Congress, proposed a civil rights bill that was passed only because of republicans, not democrats.
He was a racist, piece of shit President who hates black people but was smart enough to BUY VOTES. Does that not sound familiar?? I can think of another modern-day racist piece of shit president who buys votes.
60 years ago, they passed all the low-income programs to keep us reliant and on their plantation. That’s right Kenny, the democrats enslaved us 60 years ago.
12.) So, now that Trump is doing well with Black support, what does this piece of trash president do? He imports illegals as his new generation of slaves. He forgives student loans to buy the votes of people. He supports illegals and puts them up in 5-star hotels and feeds them.
They live like kings. Vets are killing themselves and suffer such PTSD that they cannot function, but they are not a huge voting bloc, so, the hell with them. That is what this president does. That is what this democratic party does. They are the 21st century slave owners.
13.) So, Kenny, after 60 years of white people paying for welfare, affirmative action and other low-income programs designed to help minorities along with now having their taxes pay for illegals to live like kings, you want to ask for reparations?? Shove it up your ass Kenny.
14.) In conclusion Kenny, do you know what BLM really means???
Biden
Loves
Minors
and Democrats are in fact, slave owners of the 21st century.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Here are the questions that were asked by @KeneAkers:
Why aren’t white people anxiously waiting to get on board for reparations for Black people?
How else do we close the financial and everything else gap between Black people and whites?
Are there any other ways besides cutting a check?

another morning without anything in the trap…yay!
we got to see the fawn again last evening…mama brought it across the driveway which surprised me. but the salt licks are on this side. once she stashed it safely in the woods, she came out and ate and then went to the salt lick. there is another deer hanging close–but not too close to her–and i believe that’s her baby from last year.

Good morning! I didn’t hear much wind last night when I got up to pee 20 times (eating watermelon does that to me!) but a lot of rain, thunder and lightning. No damage done around here, haven’t heard anything yet about any other areas. It’s breezy again today but not too bad – feeders are all back out but I’m waiting until tomorrow for the hanging plants.
Ah, the Cherokee Rose – brings to mind that episode of the Waltons when the chief wanted to burn down their barn. The only roses I like are the climbing roses, except that they get sooooo big! And roses are somewhat sensitive plants – I don’t do well with plants that need constant tending. I’m more of a “plant it and let it go” kind of gal! I thin out my climbing rose every spring but that’s about it. And the 2 Clematis next to it are exploding! Still waiting for yellow blooms, tho…..

Morning Filly!
glad to hear everything’s okay there!
I agree on most of the gardening stuff–plant it and forget it is my motto–simply because once i plant it? something eats it.
I had yellow day lilies behind the house–only place that gets the most sun. the first few years they bloomed and were gorgeous. then the animals ate one–thought they were tasty and have been eating them ever since. the come up every year but as soon as there’s buds, something eats them. sigh

Well, we have to live with our choices, eh? Your choice is to live waaaay up in the so-called “back woods” mountains so you have to deal with those ramifications. It’s all about priorities, right?
I chose this place because it fit all of my criteria: large lot, all one floor, the right size, price, location on the edge of town, etc. I looked at several places out in the country and seriously considered a huge acreage in southern NE, near my sister. But the house was only a summer house and would have needed much more extensive work and $$$, and it wasn’t one floor. There was a gorgeous, huge old barn that I really wanted but it just wasn’t enough to make up for everything else.
I also realized that as a woman living alone, it would be foolhardy to buy something out in the country where I was likely to get stuck the first time we got a blizzard, with no way to get out or to a store in a timely manner.
You put it all together in a blender and see what comes out as the best possible future for your needs and desires.

OK, well, maybe once I’m dead and gone but I won’t be around to GAS at that point. I went to soooo much effort and work at rental houses that I ended up either seeing destroyed or having to leave it all behind every single time! It is a freedom that I truly relish!

“CNN Primetime Ratings Hit Three-Decade Low”
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “CNN has logged its lowest primetime ratings since 1991 as corporate news networks continue struggling to retain viewers. According to data published by the market research firm Nielsen, the network’s 8 PM to 11 PM programming from May 13 through May 19 attracted only 83,000 viewers among the coveted demographic of 25 to 54-year-olds.
Meanwhile, Fox News secured over 186,000 viewers among the key age demographic during the same primetime slot, while MSNBC attracted 111,000 viewers. Overall, CNN’s weekly viewership totaled just 494,000, substantially lower than Fox News’s 2 million viewers and MSNBC’s 1.1 million.
Mark Thompson, who took over as CNN’s CEO late last year, has struggled to improve the network’s viewership ratings. The former New York Times and British news executive replaced Chris Licht, who was fired as the network’s CEO last June. Facing rising costs and falling revenue, Thompson announced a round of salary cuts at the network in February.
CNN’s primetime lineup, which is comprised of “AC360” with Anderson Cooper at 8 PM, “The Source with Kaitlan Collins” at 9 PM, and “CNN NewsNight” hosted by Abby Phillip at 10 PM, has notably lacked significant programming and direction under Thompson’s leadership. Additionally, the network’s increasing anti-Trump bias has alienated a large swath of American viewers who support the former Republican president. Among CNN’s primetime talent, Collins has notably displayed a lack of basic political knowledge.
In response to the dismal ratings, a CNN spokesman claimed the network has actually seen growth among the 25-54 age group year-over-year, particularly when including Erin Burnett‘s 7 PM show and Anderson Cooper’s midnight rebroadcast.”

“Now Trump and Biden Will Be SEATED For Their Debates?!”
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Former President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that he has agreed to sit at a table with Joe Biden during their upcoming debates, despite his preference to stand. Trump disclosed this arrangement on the “Cats & Cosby Show” on WABC 770 AM, attributing the seated format to requests from Biden’s campaign team.
“I hear now we’re sitting at tables. I don’t want to sit at a table,” said Trump. “But they want to sit at a table. So we’ll be sitting at a table as opposed to doing it the way you should be, in my opinion, in a debate.”
Trump conveyed his preference for a traditional format involving standing at podiums for the duration of the debate. Nevertheless, he acceded to sitting at a table, citing a willingness to accommodate Biden’s campaign demands to ensure the debates occurred.
During the debates, Trump intends to tackle topics such as the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. “If [Biden] gets through the debate, they’ll say it was brilliant,” Trump said during the interview.
Both campaigns have agreed to two debates ahead of the November election. The first debate is scheduled for June 27, hosted by CNN, and the second on September 10, hosted by ABC News. Details about the seating arrangements for both debates have yet to be clarified. Additionally, neither of the debates will have a live audience, as Biden’s campaign requested.
This agreement between the two campaigns bypasses the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates, which has facilitated the events since the 1988 election cycle.
Both campaigns are also showing interest in a vice-presidential debate. However, the particulars of the event are still under negotiation. Biden’s campaign favors CBS as the broadcaster, while Trump’s team prefers Fox News.”

Pat, did I tell you that I heard from the people who now live in the house where I grew up? I probably did but can’t remember so….They want me to wait a couple of weeks until they can get the pool re-painted so it looks nice for my visit. And yes, they want the picture of the house from before all the changes were made. I think I’ll take some pics with me of the interior in case they’d like some of those as well. I’m itching to see what they’ve done to the attic, with the dormers being added. They must have finished it, which my parents always talked about doing some day.

Our Take: “When it comes to historic Trump rallies—aren’t they all?—the Badlands crew tends to look for anything from Devo comms to Q confirmations in his statements, while marveling at the crowds the true Commander-in-Chief continues to draw in supposedly enemy territory and exulting in the tantrums of the Media Industrial Complex as the very industry that relies on Trump narratives for its lifeblood also needs him to go away forever.
And I’m sure we’ll do all of the above over the weekend.
That said, I thought my friend TheStormHasArrived put it quite well when he posted the following:
Trump’s massive showing in The Bronx isn’t historic because it’s another near record-breaking Trump rally. It’s not historic because it’s happening in a ‘blue state.’ It’s not even historic because it’s happening in New York.
It’s historic in ways we don’t even know quite yet, but that I believe we can feel by watching its fallout over the coming days. There is something intrinsic, American and yes, racial at play, here, and I think it’s something the Deep State fears more than anything else. It’s been said that the Awakening will spread worldwide, and I believe that’s the case.
But it hasn’t even truly reached a fever pitch in our own lands. That day is coming, and I think we’re beginning to transition from the ‘very slowly’ phase to the ‘all at once’ coda.” — Burning Bright

Our Take: “Germany has a long and sordid history with sexual deviancy.
Pedophiles will romanticize the 1920’s as Germany’s ‘decade of decadence,’ but that’s only because Berlin and Munich became the sex-tourism capital of the world, under the communist Weimar Republic. (Woketards will argue that it was a ‘republic,’ not a communist state, but I think we Americans all now understand and appreciate how easily a republic can be infiltrated by Bolshevik deviants.)
When I say ‘sex-tourism,’ I mean that they had brothels of every variety– including children and animals—and transgenderism finally found a place where it could take root and blossom. This was why Hitler’s platform of traditional family values in 1933 resonated so strongly with the German people. They were reacting to societal conditions that had been foisted upon them by nefarious outside forces—the same forces that had funded the Bolshevik Revolution as well as the forth-coming Third Reich. (The controlled opposition dynamic)
The Dulles brothers, working for the law firm Sullivan and Cromwell, had been instrumental negotiators at the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 at the conclusion of World War 1. It was with the ink of their pen that they primed Germany to be raped and pillaged in the 1920’s, making its industry ripe for acquisition by the 1930’s. Within 18 months of the Allies’ sanctions imposed on Germany, the price for a loaf of bread went from five German Marks to over a million.
Corporate Communism, ladies and gentleman. Brought to you by crony capitalism—aka fascism. The Dulles Brothers, along with Prescott Bush, would go on to finance the Third Reich, before forming the CIA in 1947.
They were degenerates then, just as they are degenerates today.” — GhostofBasedPatrickHenry

The Biden Admin’s desperate plot to remove the Guatemalan Attorney General just got more insane. Remember, she’s investigating child trafficking at the US border and how the Biden Admin may be involved.
Rep. @WarrenDavidson exposed a tactic the Biden admin is using that involves threats that affect the kids of Guatemalan congressmen. He then directly confronted Secretary of State Tony Blinken about why the Biden Admin’s trying get Guatemala’s AG thrown out of office as she investigates how the Biden Admin may be involved in or funding child trafficking at the border. Here’s the new tactic 👇🏼
Biden’s State Dept. threatened to CANCEL the visas for Guatemalan Congressmen’s kids who go to school in America if the reps didn’t support removing the Attorney General.
This is a huge escalation in their efforts to remove the AG and it comes on the heels of my exclusive interview with the Secretary General of Guatemala’s AG office that went viral last week with over 4M views on @X.
The Secretary General was also threatened BEFORE our interview by someone claiming to carry a message from the US Embassy that he was “playing with fire” if he did the interview.
At this point, the behavior of the Biden Admin only makes me more suspicious that the AG in Guatemala has stumbled onto something damaging to the Biden Admin.
I’ll post that interview again in this thread for anyone who missed it last week. This is eerily similar to how Biden got a Ukrainian prosecutor fired who was in the middle of investigating issues that involved the Biden family.
I’ll remind you, Guatemala’s AG recently raided an NGO that Jill Biden used to be the chair of. Maybe that’s part of why Biden’s trying to retaliate? At any rate, it doesn’t look good for the Biden admin to try to throw out another nation’s Attorney General under any circumstances but it looks especially corrupt under these circumstances.
Let me know what you think. 👀

Just The News: “Norfolk Southern reached a $310 million settlement with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Justice on Thursday over a train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, last year.
The settlement, which has yet to be approved by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, requires Norfolk Southern to spend an estimated $235 million for clean-up, $30 million for water quality monitoring, $25 million for a 20-year community health program, and $6 million to prioritize addressing historical pollution through a “waterways remediation plan,” reported the Washington Examiner.
Norfolk Southern will pay a $15 million civil penalty for allegedly violating the Clean Water Act, according to the agreement. A DOJ official said that Norfolk Southern will not be expressing liability, but added the settlement is a “very positive step that holds Norfolk Southern accountable for the derailment.”
In February 2023, 38 of the Norfolk Southern train’s roughly 158 freight cars went off the tracks, including some holding such toxic chemicals. The train smoldered for days and leaked chemicals until at least some were siphoned off and burned to prevent an explosion. Nearly half of East Palestine’s residents were displaced as a result.
Norfolk Southern also estimates that it will pay more than $1 billion to address the harms and contamination resulting from the derailment, including implementing measures to improve rail safety.
The settlement came after the federal government filed a complaint against Norfolk Southern in March 2023 for the train derailment’s release of pollutants and hazardous substances.
In a separate case on Tuesday, a federal judge approved a $600 million class action settlement over the train derailment, the Associated Press reported.”

Just The News: “Democratic Pennsylvania Rep. Dwight Evans announced on Thursday that he recently suffered a minor stroke, which will take him away from Capitol Hill for approximately six weeks.
Evans is the second Pennsylvania lawmaker from the Keystone state to experience the medical emergency, after Sen. John Fetterman, who is also a Democrat, suffered the same fate when running for his seat in 2022.
Evans said his stroke was so minor that he had not realized what happened at the time, and only noticed weakness in his leg. The stroke is not expected to impact his longterm ability to do his job, but could affect his walking.
“I wanted to let my constituents know that I am recovering from a minor stroke, and I want to emphasize the word minor,” Evans said in a statement. “It was minor enough that I didn’t even realize what had happened for a few days … In the coming months, I want to help educate people and remove the stigma that sometimes accompanies strokes – many people can recover and continue on with their life and their work.”
The congressman said he received the diagnosis earlier this week, and is being treated at an inpatient rehabilitation facility where he should be remaining for another week. After that, he will continue physical therapy at an outpatient center.
Evans said he expects to be back in Washington D.C. where he would resume his work as a voting member of Congress in six weeks. “I’m focusing on my healing and would ask for privacy during these six weeks,” Evans said.
The congressman’s stroke appears to be less severe than Fetterman’s, who now has an auditory processing disorder. Fetterman also had cardiomyopathy and atrial fibrillation, which are heart conditions but doctors put in a pacemaker to help, according to Managed Healthcare Executive.”

interesting. Harvard faculty wanted to graduate students who were not in good standing due to their pro hamas bullshit. the Harvard Corporation (?) said no. handbook says only those student sin good standing can obtain degrees. faculty may walk out in protest. good riddance
FTA
The Harvard Corporation rejected an effort by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to confer degrees on 13 seniors facing disciplinary charges for participating in the pro-Palestine encampment, an unprecedented veto that opens a new front in the internal battles that have convulsed Harvard for the past year.
The Corporation, the University’s highest governing body, deliberated late into the night on Tuesday as it stared down an impossible decision: render Harvard College’s disciplinary processes toothless by approving the FAS-amended list or undercut the authority of the University’s largest faculty by declining to uphold their amendment.
“Today, we have voted to confer 1,539 degrees to Harvard College students in good standing,” the Corporation wrote in a joint statement on Wednesday. “Because the students included as the result of Monday’s amendment are not in good standing, we cannot responsibly vote to award them degrees at this time.”
Faculty members, at the annual FAS degree meeting, plunged Harvard into something of a constitutional crisis as they voted to amend the list of degrees for conferral at Commencement during what is normally a sparsely attended pro forma session.
Instead, 115 faculty members showed up to a meeting in which a decisive majority voted to confer degrees on the 13 seniors. The students were notified of disciplinary charges from the Harvard College Administrative Board just three days earlier.
During the meeting, faculty members claimed that it had the authority to add the students back onto the list because the disciplinary actions from the Ad Board were subject to approval by the FAS — the “ultimate disciplinary body” for the College, according to the University’s governing statutes.
Whether it intended to or not, the Corporation’s statement signaled that it does not believe the FAS has the authority that some of its faculty members think it does.
This now pits many faculty members against the Corporation at a time when many stakeholders across the University have raised serious questions about the Corporation’s stewardship, accusing the board of repeated leadership failures over the past eight months.
Government professor Steven Levitsky warned in an interview on Tuesday that the Corporation could spark a faculty uprising if it does not sign off on the FAS-approved list of degrees for conferral.
“I would expect a faculty rebellion, possibly a faculty rebellion against the entire governance structure, because there’s already a fair amount of mistrust toward the Corporation to begin with,” Levitsky said.
The Corporation cited rules outlined in the Student Handbook which state that students must be in good standing in order to graduate and noted that the FAS vote on Monday only added students to the list of degrees for conferral — and did not actually overturn the disciplinary charges.

I had another Oriole inside the cage a few minutes ago; this time, it was a full-grown male and he was fluttering from side to side, not stuck in the jelly. There were other males perched around the outside and they wouldn’t let him out! I had decided it was time to do something and opened the door – that scared the birds away from the outside and he was able to get out. Birds can be really nasty critters!!!
Have I said lately how much I hate, and am tired of, the wind??? It’s awful! SMH

“This is the new B-21 Raider. This aircraft will be a dual-capable ‘penetrating strike stealth bomber’ capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear munitions. The B-21 will form the backbone of the future Air Force bomber force consisting of B-21s and B-52s. Designed to operate in tomorrow’s high-end threat environment, the B-21 will play a critical role in ensuring America’s enduring airpower capability.
The B-21 Raider will be a component of a larger family of systems for conventional Long Range Strike, including Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, electronic attack, communication and other capabilities. It will be nuclear capable and designed to accommodate manned or unmanned operations. Additionally, it will be able to employ a broad mix of stand-off and direct-attack munitions.
Each new B-21 Raider will cost roughly $700,000,000.00. Buy Northrop Grumman stock now…..”

it’s an actual portrait …
from The Western Journal:
A new portrait of Catherine, Princess of Wales, is being attacked as an insult to its subject.
The portrait is on the July cover of Tatler magazine, which gushed about it on Instagram and said it was painted by British-Zambian artist Hannah Uzor.
Uzor said the painting is supposed to portray the princess, Kate Middleton, as she looked at King Charles’s first state banquet (November 2022). Uzor said she looked at pictures of the princess before painting the portrait, according to CNN.
