George Clooney

Today is George’s birthday—born May 6, 1961—and I had a whole post about him with some interesting facts about his life, because I respected George’s attitude on aging as a movie star.  He didn’t want to dye his hair or get plastic surgery, because people always look a little off when they try to recapture their youth, he said.

Then just recently I read this article where George makes the comment that it might be time to FORCE JAB people with the vaccine.  Suddenly an individual making their own choices was not a good option for George.  Sad.

The time has come to force-jab every unvaccinated person in the United States, according to Hollywood actor George Clooney who declared his support for “mandatory vaccines, period” during a red carpet interview.

  1. Morning All

more clouds this morning and sprinkles–temps sitting at 50*.

We left the 2 hummer feeders on the side deck out because the raccoons cannot get to them. the bears can if they want, but they didn’t. this morning i had 2 hummers on them–barely light enough to see them, but there they sat…lol

Sad about Clooney…at this point in time calling to force jab folks…sigh. very disappointing.

            I’m so sorry!!
after all you do, how can they feel that way about you?
none of us is perfect, but your family does not realize what an absolute GEM you are!!
turning the other cheek and going back to help after being mistreated? you are an absolute angel to do that. I don’t know that I’d have the compassion to care for people who mistreat me like that.
God has Blessed you with a wonderful spirit GA! never let anyone make you feel different!

    2. Morning, Pat! George Clooney is a putz thru-and-thru, IMO. What a jerk! Remember when people were actually suggesting that HE run for President? Pfftttt!

      Remember this?

We’ve got more high winds coming later – 45 MPH+ – so I went out and took everything down – 8 hanging plants, 4 feeders. Most of the rain will be to the south and east of me altho we’ll get some here; the wind has been building all night – it woke me up several times during the night.

Surprisingly, I’m not hurting much this morning – just my knuckles. Frankly, I’m surprised – I figured my back would be hurting at least but I’m also not complaining! LOL

It will be a miracle of those cantaloupe seeds actually come up – that soil is simply awful but, considering it was nothing but lawn for many years and I haven’t amended it at all, it’s not really a surprise. I did a combo of original seeds and those I saved from last summer – it will be interesting to see what happens. Life is nothing but an experiment!

Not to weigh in on another controversial topic, but here goes: When we screen female athletes in the Olympics for testosterone supplementation etc., we do so because we understand that male hormones can give female athletes a material and unfair competitive advantage. How then can we allow transfemales to compete in women’s sports? What is the best argument for allowing transfemales to compete in women’s sports, but disallowing women to use performance enhancing drugs in the same contest? What am I missing?

San Francisco Has Carried Out It’s First Ever Solar Geoengineering Cloud Brightening Experiment “The scientists intentionally kept the experiment a secret in hopes of stopping public backlash” “This is the first publicly disclosed cloud brightening experiment ever conducted in North America and only the second to be done in the world.” “in San Francisco earlier this month. The experiment artificially brightened existing clouds by using a machine to shoot microscopic salt aerosol particles hundreds of feet into the air. As reported by the Smithsonian in the New York Times, scientists from the University of Washington’s Marine Cloud Brightening Program used a decommissioned aircraft carrier in Alameda. The scientists intentionally kept the experiment a secret in hopes of stopping public backlash The goal of climate and solar geoengineering is to increase the Earth’s albedo, which will reflect more sunlight back into space. David Santio, a senior scientist who is not part of the experiment, told the New York Times that these engineering projects are concerning because you could change climatic patterns not just over the sea, but over the land as well. Solar geoengineering could impact wind patterns and drive unexpected weather which could have unforeseen impacts on fish populations and the overall climate.” “As I touched on in my video last year, Mexico banned solar geoengineering after an American startup ran unapproved data collection trials in their airfields” “Comment what you think about this project and solar geoengineering as a whole.”

    1. Morning, Katherine! Clooney is a putz thru-and-thru. IIRC, his Father had some relatively high position in government somewhere and, back in 2016, people were even suggesting that Clooney himself should run for President. He’s a rich globalist. Remember this in 2016?

      1. Thanks for the reply, but the 2016 campaign bored me, and I don’t see the connection to Clooney. It helps to know his father was a government drone. Government drones (the human variety) and the media universally hate gate crashers like Trump.

            1. My favorite actress was always Sally Field, mainly because I looked just like her in my early teen years and I thoroughly enjoyed every movie she was in. My nickname at church camp was Gidget! Jimmie Stewart is at the top of my male stars list. As for younger actors, my fav would be Jim Caviezel. Of course, then there is Lee Majors – loved watching him in the Big Valley, 6 Million $ Man, etc. I had the chance to kiss him in Pueblo, CO at the airport and he put his arm around me – reeked of alcohol, and Farah was a flat-out bitch!

              1. Sallie Field. The Flying Nun. I’d forgotten about Gidget. My father loved TV, and I loved Colorado, when I lived in Telluride and did a lot of hiking and backpacking in the San Juan Mountains. Lots of Hollywood types would show up for the film festival each September. That’s when I worked for the local weekly, the Telluride Times, but it was bought out by a local realtor shortly after I left. He ran it into the ground.

              2. I was only in Pueblo for 2 years, from 1974-76. I always thought it was in the perfect location – in kind of a valley between Co. Springs/Denver and Raton Pass. During the winter, both the pass and city airports would be shut down, while Pueblo only had a couple of inches of snow and we were open for business. I enjoyed riding horses out on the mesa and heading up to Rye on the week-ends to wander thru the woods. I visited Bishop’s Castle when it was just in it’s beginning stages – only 2 floors at that time – in ’76 – that was the week-end before I left and returned to NE.

              4. There were lots of different varieties of hummingbirds in Telluride in the summer. We had a hummingbird feeder and a small garden, but different climates and soil conditions have taught me what to grow or not grow in the various places I’ve resided. In Telluride, the hummers became so tame that sometimes one would settle on.my finger under the feeder. Strawberries grew well in the garden, but carrots were thin and crooked. In Savannah, plant roots rot or bugs and caterpillars or birds, racoons, squrrels, rats, or dear eat whatever food is available. I don’t use poison, which only makes the mosquitoes meaner, after the helicopters spray to kill mosquitoes over the marsh.

      1. Yes. New York and California are delusional that way and don’t understand what it’s like to live in the Real World. I liked Roseanne, but I’ve never been much of a TV watcher, or a movie-watcher, so I’m generally out of touch with fads, celebrities, or anything except for overall trends. Clooney is eminently forgettable. Trump is a New Yorker, so knows how the game is played.

  6. OK, I ran down that so-called “connection” to the Presidency vis-a-vis Clooney. His Father was actually a newscaster

EXCERPTS: “Nick Clooney, George’s father, was also in the media industry. He started his career as a disc jockey in the American Forces Network in Germany while serving as a corporal in the army. Two of the shows he helped produce were “Music in the Air” and “Melody-Go-Round,” per The Famous People.

Nick had hoped to break into Hollywood upon his return to the United States but was unsuccessful. Instead, he returned to Kentucky and worked at WKYT-TV in Lexington. He moved up the ranks after a few years, hosting a morning talk show called the “The Nick Clooney Show.”

However, Nick’s big break came when he was selected as a host for the ABC show “The Money Maze,” which gave him a national audience. Nick continued to work in various news and hosting jobs, even moving to Los Angeles for a brief period for his duties.

It was also Nick who gave George his first taste of the camera. According to Biography, George would often appear in sketches that were part of his father’s talk show, starting when he was just 5 years old.

Nick’s career was enough of an inspiration to George that the “Gravity” star originally hoped to pursue a career in journalism as well. George attended Northern Kentucky University with the intent to major in broadcast journalism. However, George quickly realized that he was on the wrong path and dropped out.

    —————

Though the Clooney clan appears to be mostly centered around entertainment, there is one interesting link far back in the family tree that not only links them to politics but to one of the most notable presidents of American history: Abraham Lincoln.

According to Geneastar, George Clooney’s great-great-great-great-grandmother on his mother’s side was a woman named Mary Ann Sparrow. Mary Ann Sparrow’s half-sister was Nancy Hanks, who later married a man named Thomas Lincoln. Their son was Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States.

That means that Mary Ann was Abraham Lincoln’s aunt and George Clooney is Lincoln’s half-first cousin five times removed, as calculated by Reuters.

Though George hasn’t really discussed his distant relative, he has been vocal about his political opinions in the past. In addition, he has often fundraised for Democratic candidates and donated money to political causes. At one point, it was even rumored that he was eyeing a run for office, but he recently shot down rumors of those ambitions, joking that he’d prefer to have a “nice life,” per Bloomberg.”

  8. They’re at it again! SMDH

    EXCERPT:

It has become the topic of the season at Washington dinner parties and receptions. Where would you go if it really happens?

Portugal, says a former member of Congress. Australia, says a former agency director. Canada, says a Biden administration official. France, says a liberal columnist. Poland, says a former investigator.

They’re joking. Sort of. At least in most cases. It’s a gallows humor with a dark edge. Much of official Washington is bracing for the possibility that former President Donald J. Trump really could return — this time with “retribution” as his avowed mission, the discussion is where people might go into a sort of self-imposed exile.

Whether they mean it or not, the buzz is a telling indicator of the grim mood among many in the nation’s capital these days. The “what if” goes beyond the normal prospect of a side unhappy about a lost election. It speaks to the nervousness about a would-be president who talks of being a dictator for a day, who vows to “root out” enemies he called “vermin,” who threatens to prosecute adversaries, who suggests a general he deems disloyal deserves “DEATH,” whose lawyers say he may have immunity even if he orders the assassination of political rivals.

“I feel like in the past two weeks that conversation for whatever reason has just surged,” said Miles Taylor, a former Trump administration official who became a vocal critic of the former president. “People are feeling that it’s very obvious if a second Trump terms happens, it’s going to be slash and burn.” — The New York Times

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/05/us/politics/trump-biden-election-dc.html

Our Take: ““‘Where will elites flee to avoid accountability for their treason?’ Just kidding, The NY Times chuckles nervously.

This article is peak projection, as the NYT talks about a dictator, prosecution of political adversaries, and dehumanization of large swaths of the population. In other words, they’re afraid that Trump is gonna act like Biden. They might just be realizing all the norms they’ve blown up over the past eight plus years. All precedents they’ve set. Yikes.

It’s important to remember that Trump doesn’t elect himself. The underlying truth in this piece is not that they’re afraid Trump will hold them accountable. They’re afraid you will.” — Ashe in America

Anne Applebaum is a well-decorated, Pulitzer Prize winning historian and journalist. She is married to former Polish Minister of Defense, and current EU bureaucrat, Radoslaw Sikorsky…

    WTF is going on?

These are some pretty high-profile individuals, who have been producing pro-NATO propaganda for decades, trying to discredit US/Ukrainian biological activity, and defaming me in the process.

This is not just your standard media hit-piece. This is part of a broader political propaganda campaign, conducted by lifelong EU bureaucrats, to run cover for their crimes against humanity…

Anne’s reporting and upcoming book are nothing but State-sponsored propaganda, as part of a last ditch effort to reclaim control of public perception.

    They already failed.”

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Office said the war cabinet “unanimously decided that Israel is continuing with the operation in Rafah to exert military pressure on Hamas in order to advance the release of our hostages and the other goals of the war” after Hamas said it accepted a ceasefire proposal brokered by Egypt and Qatar, according to The Times of Israel.

The prime minister’s office also said Israel would send a delegation to continue hostage negotiations even though the “Hamas proposal is far from Israel’s necessary requirements.” Furthermore, up to 100,000 Gazan civilians are still being urged to evacuate Rafah.”

Mulino has pledged to shut down the crossing and deport migrants who break Panamanian law, saying that he “will not permit thousands of illegals to pass through our territory like nothing, without control.”

His opponents were actually campaigning to open up the path even more to increase the flow of illegals to the US

He was originally supposed to be Vice President under Ricardo Martinelli but the current government sentenced Martinelli to 10 years for embezzlement & money laundering, Mulino became the Presidential candidate after that. Their Conservative Populist party had zero seats in the National Assembly and now they control the presidency. God has visited Panama
