This month’s games are a little different. These are optical illusions according to their labels, but most are cleverly hidden images. See how many you can sleuth out!
Can You See the Cat?

Can you find the hidden tiger?

Where’s the mouse?

How are the boys?

Morning All
it’s 42* and somewhat cloudy. the clouds look like “snow clouds” if that makes sense to anyone else.
see what today brings

Morning, Pat! I suck at these kinds of things, always have. 52 here this morning and rain, heavy rain, rain, heavy rain, ad nauseum, with thunder but, thankfully, little wind. Wheezer came to eat sometime during the night. I posted Malone’s meme thread at M’s this morning. And yes, I do know what you mean by “snow clouds!” Intimately! LOL

Morning Filly!
we were looking at the photos on the trail camera on the porch. the raccoon has been here numerous times in the week since we last looked–but only left us a “gift” last night again…baffling. in one picture we can see a tiny bright speck on the deck itself–must have been a mouse (its eye caught the light from the flash).
sigh.

So an entire pallet full of boxes that had been held by GSA somewhere outside of DC is dumped at Mar-a-Lago. Apparently these are the boxes that ended up containing papers with “classified markings.”
I will double check indictment but I don’t recall this event in the timeline:

he hung on the chain in the front of the deck and then sat on the railing under the chain looking towards the side deck with their jelly was tied to the deck. i got up and got the feeder and put it out. he waited a few minutes and hopped right over to it. he’s been back feeding one more time so far.

I really hope SCOTUS is paying attention to how DC judges are scheming to keep J6ers in prison on 1512c2 convictions if SCOTUS reverses that charge in J6 cases. This order is not just a warning to the defendant involved—Larry Brock, a decorated military veteran with no criminal history convicted of 1512c2 and 5 nonviolent misdemeanors who successfully appealed an unlawful sentencing enhancement—it’s a warning to ALL J6ers convicted of 1512c2 to NOT seek release from jail if SCOTUS reverses how DOJ and federal judges (including this one, John Bates) applied the law. DOJ has already come up with a replacement “enhancement” to substitute the one overturned on appeal to apply as defendants seek relief waiting for SCOTUS opinion. NOW judges are warning they will take the extraordinary step of ordering prison time to be served CONSECUTIVELY not concurrently (at the same time) on low level offenses. The ex-chief judge recently said ordering consecutive sentences on misdemeanors is not standard practice in DC court but could be considered in order to keep 1512c2 defendants in jail EVEN IF THAT COUNT DROVE EXCESSIVE PRISON SENTENCE. Absolutely shameless and lawless.

Criminal Charges Proposed for Undocumented Immigrants Entering Louisiana
https://thehayride.com/2024/04/criminal-charges-proposed-for-undocumented-immigrants-entering-louisiana/
Legislation proposing criminal charges for undocumented immigrants entering Louisiana has passed a committee in the House of Representatives.
The bill moving forward Wednesday from the Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice is similar to legislation in neighboring Texas. It passed the panel 7-4 and was opposed by the Southern Poverty Law Center and migrant groups.
Next would be a House floor vote.
The Senate, by 28-11 on April 9, has already passed Senate Bill 388 sponsored by Sen. Valarie Hodges, R-Denham Springs.
If it becomes law, the governor could set up a border compact with Texas.
The penalty for a first offense would be a maximum of six months in prison and any subsequent offenses could draw up to a year in prison.
“This bill addresses the crisis of illegal immigration we are seeing across the nation, but addresses it specifically for Louisiana,” Hodges said. “So all of us in this room know that it is no secret that our country is being overwhelmed with a growing invasion of more than 10 million, people who came here without verification or identity or permission.”
Hodges said her bill was necessary because the federal government was not enforcing border control policies.

NF: In the video I watched on Fox, he said he called the baby “Baby Jesus” because it was a couple of days before Christmas and the box reminded him of a manger; plus, he didn’t want to degrade him by calling him “John Doe.”
“24 years ago, an officer was dispatched to an abandoned baby. Decades later, he finally learned that baby’s surprising identity.”
By Steve Hartman, April 26, 2024 / 8:49 PM EDT / CBS News
South Bend, Indiana — “Gene Eyster, a retired police lieutenant, cannot drive past one specific apartment complex here without reliving that strange day 24 years ago. “That was one of the strangest calls I think I’ve ever had: ‘We have a found baby in a box,’” Eyster, a 47-year veteran of the department, told CBS News. “You always wonder, what happened?”
On Dec. 22, 2000, a newborn was found abandoned in a common hallway. For Eyster, the case of the “Baby Boy Doe,” swaddled in cardboard and blankets, didn’t end after the child got to the hospital. “I went back with a teddy bear,” Eyster said. “Just a symbol to let everyone that walked past know that he was cared about.”
For more than two decades, Eyster wondered what became of that boy. Unfortunately, records were sealed so there was no way to find out. That was until just a few weeks ago, when Eyster got a phone call from a fellow officer, who asked Eyster if remembered the case of the baby left in the carboard box.
“And he (the officer) said, ‘he’s (the baby) sitting next to me, he’s my rookie,’” Eyster recounted.
The rookie in question was Matthew Hegedus-Stewart, the baby in the box. After his rescue, he was placed for adoption. He always knew he had been left in a box, but only connected the dots to Eyster after joining the department.
Today, Hegedus-Stewart wears the same uniform Eyster did and patrols the same neighborhood. “Full circle moment,” Hegedus-Stewart said. “That hit home. I can only imagine from his point of view.”
He really can’t imagine. Because what to Hegedus-Stewart may feel like a coincidence, to Eyster feels divined. Their reunion and their new friendship came just a few months after Eyster’s only son, Nick, died unexpectedly at the age of 36. “So the timing couldn’t have been any better, it helped to fill a void that I’ve had to deal with,” Eyster said.
Twenty-four years ago, Eyster was called to be there for a child in need. Now, the child is set to return the favor. And whether it’s a coincidence or not, the result is undeniably great police work.”

LOVE THIS PHRASE…”not the fastest set of tractors on the farm…” LOL LOL LOL
rioters are “demanding” their arrests and violations be scrubbed from their college and personal records so they don’t follow them into adulthood. idiots! they don’t expect to be held responsible for their actions.
FTA
As noted above, the students are fearful that their arrest records and suspensions will “follow them into their adult lives.” Based on their recent actions, I realize that we’re not dealing with the fastest set of tractors on the farm here, but I have a news flash for these rioters. Nearly every one of you is at least 18 years old and some of the juniors and seniors are in their twenties. You are already in your “adult life,” despite the fact that you’re not acting in a very mature fashion.
For what it’s worth, you may not be learning very much at college because you’re missing so many classes, but this could turn out to be one of the more educational moments of your young lives. Everyone’s actions have consequences for better or worse. If you decide to tip back a few drinks and get behind the wheel of your vehicle, you may wind up with a DUI on your record or potentially something far worse. If you knowingly decide to violate the law in any fashion, the consequences of your actions can and likely will follow you around for a long time to come.

“China Yanks US Leash in Blinken Visit and Meeting with Xi Jinping: When the US Secretary of State arrives at the Chinese dog park and is immediately placed on a leash to be marched around a bunch of low-level officials, it’s a reminder of who the boss is.”
POLITICAL MOONSHINE, APR 28, 2024
EXCERPT: “The State Department reports that, “Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken traveled to Shanghai and Beijing, the People’s Republic of China, for meetings with President Xi Jinping, Director of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Foreign Affairs Commission and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong, and Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining from April 24-26.”
This particular trip is notable for its timing relative to four things:
[All of that is old Moonshine to give us an appropriate lens for Blinken’s visit and newcomers are welcome to catch-up on their own.]
When Blinken’s trip was first announced, it immediately became one to monitor for a very good reason that we have examined and discussed before: the Chinese have an historical modus operandi of scripting controllable elements of diplomatic engagement in ways to undermine the potency of US diplomacy, which has sunken to its lowest levels in recorded history under Joe Biden and Barack Obama, who is pulling Joe’s strings from the shadowy backdrop in what amounts to his fourth term [he spent his third term getting rid of Donald Trump during DJT’s first]….”

if the jelly washed out of the little feeder (it’s the bottom of hummer feeder turned upside down)…the jelly will wash onto either the railing or the deck itself and then i have to clean it or it will attract raccoons and bears.
