50 Astonishing Facts About Every State: Part 2

Montana

The temperature in Loma once climbed from -54 degrees F to 49 degrees within 24 hours—the largest one-day hike ever recorded.

Nebraska

About 80 percent of the world’s sandhill crane population alights on Nebraska’s Platte River during the cranes’ annual spring migration, bringing with them thousands of bird-watchers.

Nevada

From 1951 to 1992, a swath of land about 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas was used for hundreds of nuclear weapons tests.

New Hampshire

This state’s license plates—bearing the slogan “Live Free or Die”—are made by prison inmates.

New Jersey

When it comes to the Garden State, remember two things: horses and divorces. New Jersey has more horses per square mile than any other state, including Kentucky, and the lowest divorce rate in the country.

New Mexico

According to New Mexico state law, “idiots” are not allowed to vote. The statute doesn’t give a clear definition of who fits that description.

New York

Twice a year, the setting sun aligns perfectly with the Manhattan street grid, illuminating the borough’s east-west streets with an orange glow.

North Carolina

The Biltmore Estate, in Asheville, is the largest privately-owned home in the country, with more than four acres of floor space and 250 rooms (including 35 bedrooms and 43 bathrooms).

North Dakota

In 2007, North Dakota nabbed the Guinness World Record for Most People Making Snow Angels Simultaneously. The State Historical Society of North Dakota organized the event and rounded up 8,962 people on the Capitol’s lawn to participate.

Ohio

Half of the presidents who died in office were from Ohio: William Harrison, James Garfield, William McKinley, and Warren G. Harding.

Oklahoma

It appears to serve up the only official state meal: a heaping plateful of fried okra, squash, cornbread, barbecue pork, biscuits, sausage and gravy, grits, corn, strawberries, chicken-fried steak, pecan pie, and black-eyed peas.

Oregon

It boasts the nation’s fastest talkers, according to an analysis of consumer phone calls placed to businesses across the country.

Pennsylvania

This state’s name is spelled Pensylvania on the Liberty Bell. The Constitution uses one n in one section and two n’s in another.

Rhode Island

The smallest state in the country shares a state water border with New York.

South Carolina

The Angel Oak Tree, located near Charleston, is estimated to be one of the oldest living things in the country. It produces a shadow that covers about 17,000 square feet.

South Dakota

Catching some z’s must be easier in South Dakota, which one survey found is the least sleep-deprived state in the country.

Tennessee

On a clear day, seven states are visible from Lookout Mountain, near Chattanooga. But you don’t have to look further than Chattanooga for the largest freshwater aquarium in the world.

Texas

The phrase “Don’t mess with Texas” originated in 1985 as the slogan for a campaign meant to combat littering. It has gone on to be a very famous line within the state and even appears on the crest of the USS Texas submarine.

Utah

The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry holds the highest concentration of Jurassic-era remains ever found. More than 12,000 dinosaur bones (and one egg!) have been excavated since the 1920s.

Vermont

Don’t visit the Haskell Free Library and Opera House in Derby Line unless you’re prepped for travel. The stage is in Canada, while the fans watch from Vermont; the entrance is in the U.S., while the stacks are in lumberjack country.

Virginia

Virginia ranks number one in patriotism among the 50 states, according to one WalletHub survey, which based its list on factors like military and civic engagement.

Washington

The world’s largest building by volume—Boeing’s final assembly factory in Everett—spans 98.3 acres and 472 million cubic feet. Seventy-five football fields could fit inside.

West Virginia

In 1776, a group of residents asked the Continental Congress to create a 14th colony called Westylvania, including parts of West Virginia and surrounding areas; the plea was ignored.

Wisconsin

When the state dance is the polka, it’s awfully convenient that A World of Accordions, a museum with more than 1,000 types of squeeze-boxes, is also found in the state.

Wyoming

There are only two sets of escalators in the entire state.

    1. Morning, Pat! We’ve gotten none of the “light rain” that was predicted; skies are still clear and sunny, altho a bit on the chilly side at 34. Possibly up to 82 for this week-end! Wheezer was sleeping in my chair again this morning.

we were just cleaning off the deck. something was on it last night and was apparently sick. didn’t look like bear poop or raccoon poop–it was full of worms–like earthworms–big ones–and still alive…it was gross.

Mike Johnson and Donald Trump to promote bill to prevent non-citizens from voting

WASHINGTON – House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., will promote a bill with former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence aimed at preventing non-citizens from voting.

Johnson will hold a joint press conference with Trump on Friday at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residence, where the top House Republican will tout the legislation to “elevate the issue of non-citizens voting in federal elections,” according to a person familiar with the planning.

The event is also an effort to rally Republican lawmakers to “get on the team,” on the issue of election security, the person said.

    1. Just The News: “House Speaker Mike Johnson’s meeting with former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate and subsequent election integrity event could be the beginning of an alliance that shields him from a possible ouster led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.

There will also reportedly be a joint news conference taking place at the event, marking Johnson’s first public appearance with Trump since he was elected to the speakership in October 2023. The subject of Greene’s threat to remove Johnson is likely to come up during the presser.

The event will reportedly center around proposed legislation designed to prevent non-citizens from voting in federal elections.

Greene filed a motion to vacate in March over Johnson’s decision to put a $1.2 trillion spending package on the House floor for a vote, which passed with more votes from Democrats than Republicans. The spending bill also contained thousands of earmarks that distribute money to both Republican and Democratic districts.

A motion to vacate was used to oust former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., last year. The House went without a speaker for three weeks after McCarthy’s removal. A senior GOP congressional source who declined to be identified said the conservative House Freedom Caucus and House Republican conference overall do not want to go through a similar process of finding a new speaker in an election year.

Greene has also been outspoken about her opposition to Johnson’s handling of Ukraine war funding as well as Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) reauthorization. The rule to advance the bill failed on the House floor on Wednesday after Trump called on the GOP to “kill FISA” in a Truth Social post.

“How he [Johnson] handles the FISA process and how he handles funding Ukraine is going to tell our entire conference how to handle the motion to vacate,” Greene said on Wednesday.

On FISA reauthorization, Greene wrote on X that she wants to see Johnson “allow for open rules and allow votes on ALL amendments” to the legislation on the House floor. “That’s a rule that he could actually get passed,” Greene wrote.

McCarthy predicted on Tuesday that Johnson would not be ousted. “The Dems will never let it happen,” McCarthy said during an event at Georgetown University. McCarthy noted that Greene’s motion to vacate is different than the one Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., had filed, which led to McCarthy’s ouster.

“What she’s doing is much different than what Matt Gaetz is doing. She didn’t make it privileged, so it’s not up for a vote,” McCarthy said during an interview this week. “And the one thing I’ve always found about Marjorie is she’s a very serious legislator that deals with policy. And the best way to deal with anyone like that is sit down and talk to them.”

Johnson said in a recent interview that he had attempted to contact Greene after she filed the motion, but she apparently said she “wasn’t interested.” Greene said her threat to oust Johnson stands despite the pair meeting face-to-face on Wednesday.

“Right now he does not have my support and I’m watching what happens with FISA and Ukraine,” she said after the meeting on Capitol Hill.

The event taking place on Friday gives Trump, the 2024 GOP presidential nominee and leader of the party, a chance to influence the situation.”

Former Obama Aide: Joe Biden Should Be in Prison

    Excerpt:

McCormick became aware of the criminal nature of the activity after poring over the emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop, which allowed him to put it all together. “When I worked for him, I thought Joe was harmless — egotistical, buffoonish, and unpresidential, but harmless,” he said. “Now I think of him as an evil criminal who should be impeached and imprisoned.” McCormick served as Biden’s stenographer when he was vice president from 2011 to 2017, transcribing every speech and interview.

He said he personally witnessed Biden negotiate the Burisma kickback scheme — U.S. funding to Ukrainian energy, primarily Burisma, in exchange for putting Hunter Biden on Burisma’s board of directors — on a trip to Poland in 2014. He came to a lot of conclusions that other reporters haven’t figured out, due to his unique position and intensive study of this issue.

  4. probably won’t pass, but at least they’re trying and can get those who vote against on record.

    FTA

Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) is introducing legislation to prevent President Joe Biden from allowing migrants at the United States-Mexico border to bypass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules while flying throughout the country.

Green, who serves as chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, issued the “Verifying that All Illegal Aliens Have Legitimate Documents Act” — also referred to as the VALID Act — on Thursday.

“Having legal identification to board a flight in the United States is a no-brainer, but not for the Biden administration,” Green said in an exclusive statement to Breitbart News. “My VALID Act is critical for protecting our national security.”

    Those cosponsoring the bill are:

Reps. Michael McCaul (R-TX), Michael Guest (R-MS), Clay Higgins (R-LA), Dan Bishop (R-NC), Eli Crane (R-AZ), Morgan Luttrell (R-TX), Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY), Jake Ellzey (R-TX), Dale Strong (R-AL), Andy Ogles (R-TN), Burgess Owens (R-UT), Troy Nehls (R-TX), Bob Good (R-VA), Tom Tiffany (R-WI), Bill Posey (R-FL), Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), Randy Weber (R-TX), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA), Jefferson Van Drew (R-NJ), Scott Perry (R-PA), John Rose (R-TN), and Rick Crawford (R-AR).

Under the Biden administration, migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border can use DHS documents as their official identification (ID) to present to TSA agents at airports.

For example, a migrant who recently crossed the border can use arrest warrants, deportation orders, Notices to Appear (NTA) in immigration court, and federal custody booking records as their ID at TSA. Meanwhile, Americans are required to present official government IDs to pass through TSA agents at airports.

The Biden administration is also allowing migrants to use their applications with the “CBP One” mobile app to be used as ID at TSA checkpoints. The CBP One app, as Breitbart News has chronicled, has allowed more than half a million migrants to schedule appointments at the border and subsequently be released into the U.S. interior.

Green’s bill would halt the practice altogether.

  5. Just The News: “House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is preparing to bring a bill that would reauthorize section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) for 2 years instead of 5 years to the House floor on Friday as well as allow a vote on legislation related to Fourth Amendment right to privacy.

The House Rules Committee on Thursday night voted 8-4 to adopt the rule for legislation that would renew section 702 and advance a group of proposed amendments including a warrant requirement.

If the rule passes on the floor, the House would begin voting on the proposed amendments. A rule providing for consideration of the FISA renewal bill with reforms was previously blocked on the House floor by 19 Republicans.

“We’re putting together an agreement around a two-year extension, same set of reforms, same deal with having Warren Davidson’s bill voted on separately,” said a House GOP leadership aide who declined to be identified. “The thinking is two years later Trump will be president, most likely, we think, we hope, and then at that point he can kind of address FISA as he sees fit.”

The aide described the FISA renewal bill that will be considered on the floor Friday as essentially the same bill as the one that was blocked on Wednesday “but it would be a two-year extension instead of a 5-year extension.” The deadline to reauthorize FISA is April 19.

The separate vote expected to take place would be on the bipartisan Fourth Amendment Is Not For Sale Act, sponsored by Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio. The GOP aide said most conservatives who blocked the FISA bill from advancing on Wednesday will hopefully allow it to move forward in Friday, given that the Fourth Amendment Is Not For Sale Act will see a floor vote.

According to Davidson’s office, that legislation “stops the federal government from circumventing Americans’ Fourth Amendment right to privacy by closing loopholes that allow the government to purchase Americans’ data from big tech companies without a search warrant.”

  6. Just The News: “(The Center Square) — A federal judge has granted a motion to dismiss a challenge to Georgia’s citizenship verification process, state officials said.

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross granted Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s motion to dismiss.

“Ensuring that only U.S. citizens vote in our elections is critically important to secure and accurate elections,” Raffensperger said in a statement. “Georgia’s citizenship verification process is common sense and it works. With this ruling, we are able to continue ensuring that only U.S. citizens are voting in our elections.”

The ruling in the Northern District of Georgia follows a September 2022 ruling by U.S. District Judge Steve Jones in favor of Raffensperger in another case Fair Fight Action filed. According to a release from Raffensperger’s office, Ross’ ruling will result in Georgia’s citizenship verification processes remaining in place for the 2024 election.

“This is disappointing because it will potentially disenfranchise citizen voters who now have to jump through multiple bureaucratic hurdles to vote,” Aunna Dennis, executive director of Common Cause Georgia, said in a statement to The Center Square. “It will also create shock waves that may chill other new voters from trying to vote, even when they are eligible.

“Sadly, Georgia’s lawful voters will bear the brunt of anti-immigrant sentiments.” Dennis added. The group and the New Georgia Project, GALEO Latino Community Development Fund, ProGeorgia State Table, Asian-Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta and the Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda filed the lawsuit, claiming Georgia’s citizenship verification process violated the U.S. Constitution, the Voting Rights Act, and the National Voter Registration Act.

State officials previously confirmed to The Center Square that the earlier Fair Fight Action lawsuit left taxpayers with a roughly $6 million legal bill. A spokesperson from the state attorney general’s office did not respond to a request for information on how much the state has spent defending the lawsuit.”

  7. Just The News: “Foreign policy expert and national security adviser Dr. Walid Phares said Thursday that those calling for a ceasefire amid the Israel-Hamas war are ignorant and don’t know what they are talking about.

“You have thousands of uneducated, uninformed, misinformed people here in the west, specifically in the United States who are chanting on the street ‘ceasefire,'” he said on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show. “They don’t know what they’re talking about. This is a tactical mode by Hamas and other jihadists so that they could have the upper hand on the battlefield.”

Israel has been at war with the terrorist group Hamas since Oct. 7 after the deadly attack that killed over a thousand Israelis.

Pro-Palestinian protesters have been calling for a ceasefire around the country as the war has continued, specifically highlighting the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“Ceasefires are not that easy or not as well-respected as in other wars,” Phares said. “And that could be a problem for Israel. Eventually, not just Israel. If Hamas is left without being dismantled, their next target is going to be Egypt.”

He said that calling a ceasefire before dismantling Hamas would be “the biggest mistake of the century.”

  8. Just The News: “The Senate passed has passed a resolution to end a Federal Highway Administration rule that requires states and municipalities to monitor emissions reductions and set reduction goals.

The upper chamber on Wednesday passed the GOP-led measure 53-47, with four Democrats joining Republicans.

“Few things are more frustrating in government than unelected bureaucrats asserting authority they don’t have and foisting federal mediocrity on the excellence of states,” said bill sponsor Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D.

A group of senators who wrote the 2021 bipartisan infrastructure law considered granting the FHWA the authority to establish greenhouse gas emissions monitoring, Cramer said, but after debating the measure, it was left out.

However, White House says Democrat President Joe Biden intends to veto the measure.:

  9. Just The News: “Harvard University on Thursday announced that it would again require applicants to submit either their SAT or ACT scores, starting with the class of 2029.

The university had previously indicated it would not require scores through the class of 2030, the Harvard Crimson noted. Applicants must submit scores from either exam or, in limited circumstances barring an applicant’s access to either one, the school will accept Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exam scores.

“[S]tandardized tests are a means for all students, regardless of their background and life experience, to provide information that is predictive of success in college and beyond,” Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Hopi E. Hoekstra said. “More information, especially such strongly predictive information, is valuable for identifying talent from across the socioeconomic range… With this change, we hope to strengthen our ability to identify these promising students.”

Harvard’s move follows that of Ivy League rival Yale University, which reinstituted standardized testing in February. Both universities had implemented test-optional policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yale, in February, contended that “inviting students to apply without any test scores can, inadvertently, disadvantage students from low-income, first-generation, and rural backgrounds.”

  10. https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/russia-bombards-ukraine-hypersonic-missiles-drones-damaging-power-plants-natgas

Our Take: “So Russia has launched six hypersonic missiles at Ukraine, and all six successfully penetrated Ukraine’s US/NATO-provided missile-defense systems and struck their targets. Russia also launched 42 non-hypersonic missiles, and 24 of them found their mark.

(The fact that Ukraine could only down 18 of the 42 regular missiles, and none of the hypersonic ones, should terrify Israel, being that Iran has similar technology as well as the allegiance of Russia.)

As far as war strategy goes, Putin is being diligent here. He is targeting critical infrastructure that will force Ukraine to the negotiating table. While some would call attacking energy plants an act of cruelty, I would call it a mercy, considering that Ukraine just passed new conscription measures intended to bolster its forces by 500,000 men.

All of those men will die if they are forced to meet Russia in the field. The sooner Putin can end this kinetic conflict, the better. The real question here is what exactly is Ukraine clinging to? Why is this conflict seemingly existential?

We all know the answer, and it is spelled C-I-A.

Our Take: “OJ Simpson passed away Wednesday, refreshing our collective memory about that time he (allegedly) killed his wife.

One of the most interesting parts of that story is the fact that the OJ story is tightly connected to the Kardashian phenomena, a scandalous family that makes bagillions of dollars for being awful on camera. Caitlyn Jenner wasted no time reacting to the news of Simpson’s death, tweeting ‘Good Riddance’ in response.

There’s history there. Jenner used to vacation with Simpson, along with their families, and was married to Kris Jenner when OJ allegedly killed his wife. Kris and Nicole were reportedly best friends. Both Kris and Caitlyn Jenner have been on quite the journey in the decades since the 1994 killing. Kris is mum about the killing on socials, but apparently Caitlyn still has beef.

Simpson was officially acquitted of the killing, and Kris Jenner’s ex husband Robert Kardashian was part of the defense. In other words, the Jenners/ Kardashians were kind of on both sides of the OJ saga.

Interesting…Now do Kanye West.” — Ashe in America

  12. “The only way to save the republic is to fire all the Mike Johnsons in Congress and elect more Marjorie Taylor Greens.”

By Charles Wills ——Bio and Archives–April 12, 2024

EXCERPT: “Some Republicans are criticizing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) because she filed a motion to oust Speaker Mike Johnson after he rammed the Democrat’s spending spree through Congress. Former Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy, who helped Democrats keep the phony Russian collusion investigation going, now a Fox News propagandist, had Johnson on his show Sunday night.

Gowdy started out defending Johnson by declaring that the speaker’s job is so hard, difficult, and unrewarding, and that nobody appreciates what the speaker has to do. He went on to lament that Johnson never put his name in for the job; that he was chosen. Once Johnson came on, he said that Green’s motion to vacate is “a distraction from the mission to save the republic.” Gowdy never asked Johnson any questions like this:

    • How is funding full term abortions and the child transsexual agenda going to save the republic?
    • How is funding a Nazi government, that has suspended elections and imprisons Christians, going to save the republic? How is funding the transportation, housing, food, and medical expenses of illegal aliens going to save the republic? How is funding the LGBTQ movement going to save the republic?
    • How will funding projects that the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein requested or the building of Chuck Schumer’s environmental justice center in New York City going to save the republic?

Last week, Rep. Green told Tucker Carlson that Mike Johnson, who claims to be a pro-life Christian, funded full term abortion clinics, and the child transsexual agenda. She said that the funding for both were included in the recently passed Democrat spending bill that Johnson rammed through Congress. Green went on to say that Johnson also supports sending another $60 billion dollars to Ukraine against the will of 70% of the American people. Johnson’s actions, since gaining the speaker’s gavel, confuses people because his actions contradict the conservative Christian image he painted for himself

Tucker Carlson added, “Mike Johnson has talked a lot about his faith as a Christian, and it informs all of his decisions. So with that in mind, here he is funding a government in Ukraine that’s putting priests in jail, banning a Christian denomination and sending the army in to close churches.” Tucker added, “So how can a Christian be in favor of using U.S. tax dollars to kill and imprison other Christians? I don’t understand that!” ……….

Three Supreme Court rulings issued today; 2 remanded back to the lower court (one on arbitration, the other on the duty to disclose information that may affect investors) the other a clear victory for private property rights (Scheetz vs El Dorado County) saying that the burden imposed by local municipalities or other governments (a county was imposing a $23,000+ fee for roads before giving a couple the building permit they actually applied for) was a taking.

    all three unanimous.

  14. Friday Funnies: For Your Own Good – “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help”

ROBERT W MALONE MD, MS, APR 12, 2024

EPA’s new emissions standards for heavy-duty trucks will effectively require that electric semi-trucks make up an increasing share of manufacturer sales from 2027 through 2032, similar to its recent rule for passenger cars. The difference is that the truck mandate is even more costly and fanciful.

EVs make up less than 1% of U.S. heavy-duty truck sales, and nearly all are in California, which heavily subsidizes and mandates their purchase. EPA’s rule will require electric models to account for 60% of new urban delivery trucks and 25% of long-haul tractor sales by 2032 (WSJ).

This EV truck mandate on manufacturers is not feasible. EV big rigs and commercial vehicles will need to make more stops for charging, will not be able to carry heavy weights and there are no charging stations available for commercial vehicles. This will drive up the cost of goods throughout the USA, as well as making farm, manufacturing more expensive – which equals less demand for product.

At this time, there is not even a single long-haul tractor truck on the market, and yet 25% of them are now supposed to be EVS?

Biden officials who have pushed these new mandates are well aware of damage they are doing, but believe that in the name of “climate change” it is justified. This will reduce the American standard of living and limit economic growth. Weaponizing government agencies to push activist agendas is especially detrimental to the American political system and must stop.

  16. For those that have a hard time believing the above meme, check out the American Institute for Economic Research’s article titled “Fact-Checkers Are Gaslighting You on the Feds’ Vehicle ‘Kill Switch’ Mandate”, it is eye opening. Or for some, it may be eye popping!

The issue of bribing students just prior to the election is real.

The Administration is essentially turning college into an open-ended, taxpayer-financed entitlement by canceling loans on the installment plan. It even boasts that it has already “approved $146 billion in student debt relief for 4 million Americans through more than two dozen executive actions.” That’s $36,500 per borrower. It’s good to be the King.

The Supreme Court ruled last year that Mr. Biden’s cancelation of $10,000 to $20,000 per borrower exceeded his authority under the 2003 Heroes Act, which allows the executive to “modify” loan terms in an emergency. The Administration “modified” loans, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote, in the “same sense that ‘the French Revolution “modified” the status of the French nobility.’”

An Administration official said late Sunday its new plans “involve different considerations” and use “different legal authority.” It invokes the Higher Education Act, which lets the Education Secretary “compromise” or “waive” claims. The Administration says its new plan is targeted even as it boasts about its scale.

Mr. Biden’s new loan forgiveness is still illegal. The High Court stressed that student loan forgiveness is a major question that requires clear authorization from Congress. But Mr. Biden seems to believe he can jam the courts by automatically forgiving debt before a judge has time to stop him.

The White House says most borrowers won’t even have to apply for loan relief. Sometime before the November election, Mr. Biden will simply declare their debt forgiven. That means a future Congress and a President Trump might be unable to undo the lawless act. Where are the press scolds who warn about a President who threatens democracy? (From the WSJ).

    1. The horses are Camargue horses – from Wiki:

The Camargue, French: Camarguais or Cheval de Camargue, is a traditional French breed of working horse indigenous to the Camargue area in southern France. Its origins are unknown. For centuries, possibly thousands of years,[4] these small horses have lived wild in the harsh environment of the Camargue marshes and wetlands of the Rhône delta, which covers part of the départements of Gard and Bouches-du-Rhône. There they developed the stamina, hardiness and agility for which they are known today. Traditionally, they live in semi-feral conditions in the marshy land of the region. The Camargue horse is the traditional mount of the gardians, the Camargue riders who herd the black Camargue bulls used for courses camarguaises in southern France.

  17. Just The News: “A bill to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act’s controversial section 702 surveillance program through 2026 passed without a warrant requirement amendment in a bipartisan vote on Friday. The amendment to end warrantless surveillance failed to pass in a tie vote of 212-212 on the House floor.

The amendment would have prohibited “warrantless searches of U.S. person communications in the FISA 702 database, with exceptions for imminent threats to life or bodily harm, consent searches, or known cybersecurity threat signatures.”

There are currently 431 House members due to 4 vacancies but only 424 members casted yes or no votes on the amendment to end warrantless surveillance. A separate amendment that would enable the use of Section 702 information to “vet foreigners traveling to the United States” passed.

The FISA reauthorization bill first cleared a procedural hurdle after the rule allowing consideration of the legislation passed on the floor in the morning 213-208. The bill to renew FISA section 702 for 2 years as opposed to the original 5-year period now heads to the Democratic-led Senate for consideration.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, R-Ohio, urged a no vote on the warrant requirement amendment, arguing that it would hinder U.S. authorities from collecting intelligence on terrorist groups to prevent attacks in the U.S.

“You would have to have evidence of a crime that is occurring in order to get that warrant, which means we’ll be blind. The moment that this becomes law we will be blind and will be unable to look at what Hezbollah is doing in the United States, what Hamas is doing in the United States, and what the Chinese Communist Party is doing in the United States,” Turner said Friday on the House floor.

The warrant requirement amendment passed in an initial voice vote on the House floor and a recorded vote was requested. The final recorded votes on the amendment was postponed while lawmakers debated the other proposed amendments to the bill.

Other members like Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., and Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., said the warrant requirement would provide Fourth Amendment protection to Americans. Biggs said that constitutional protections do not apply to suspected terrorists so the warrant requirement would only apply to “U.S. person queries” of the section 702 database.

Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, also said he supports the warrant requirement amendment. “Massive amounts of Americans’ communications are still swept up in section 702 searches,” Nadler said. He noted that a report in 2023 found that U.S. law enforcement abused FISA section 702 more about 278,000 times over a period of sever years.”

  18. “Profiting From War — Connecting the CIA, the Bush Family and Prince Alwaleed”

    JOE LANGE, APR 12, 2024

Photo by Marek Studzinski via Unsplash

EXCERPT: “What is money flow disruption? Disruption causes money flowing from established money streams to be stopped or diverted.

That can be a bad thing when it comes to running a business, but it could be a really good thing when it comes to fighting a war against a cabal of elites who have controlled the global financial debt system.

The wealth of the world has been constantly stolen, and the enemy has used FEAR to provoke our emotions in order to coerce our approval of that theft, right before our very eyes. The enemy uses FEAR to convince us to go to war and those wars are massive money laundering operations and theft of tax payers money.

That’s exactly what happened in the Middle East. The CIA and shadow government turned the Middle East into a war zone by using fear—fear of Saddam Hussein as the next Hitler, and fear of terrorism. Both Saddam and Iran, with their proxy terrorist groups, were puppets of Bush and the CIA. They were both CIA creations to foment FEAR as motivation for war.

Q asked some very important questions in this portion of drop #119 on November 6, 2017, the day AFTER Prince Alwaleed’s arrest:

Q asked “What is money flow disruption?”Q then says “List the billionaires.”

Who was it that had their money flow disrupted? Prince Alwaleed was arrested in Saudi Arabia the day before this Q drop. Was that just a coincidence?Q then begins referencing the Bush family.

What family history goes back pre_WW1/2?

    Why is this relevant?

Why did the Bush family recently break silence and attack POTUS?

    Coincidence pre SA arrests?

The Bush family have been puppets for the cabal for generations. Were they Alwaleed’s puppets now? …..”

The petition is from American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), a

Trump’s legal team. He was the lead outside counsel for Trump’s first
    impeachment.

“Now the case is being appealed, and we’re taking action,” the

Again, the reason Biden (illegally) raided Trump is because Trump declassified (via memo on 1/19/2021) and kept his personal copy of his Crossfire Hurricane presidential records.

Biden, through his Deputy Counsel White House Jonathan Su, waived Trump’s claim of executive privilege.

Biden AG Merrick Garland personally approved the raid.

These Crossfire Hurricane records are devastating to Obama, Biden, Hillary, Clapper, Comey, and so many others.

They made up the Russian collusion hoax in 2016.

Because Russia almost certainly hacked Hillary’s home server.

Evidencing her Clinton Foundation foreign corruption as Obama’s Secretary of State.

If Russia leaked the hacked material before the election, Hillary wanted to blame a Trump dirty campaign trick—falsely accusing him of colluding with Russia.

    Conspiracy theory?

51 former intel agents, working with the CIA, ran the same play with Hunter’s laptop of Biden’s foreign corruption in 2020.

    This is a criminal conspiracy.

Trump could have publicly disclosed these declassified Crossfire Hurricane records in his civil lawsuit versus Hillary over the Russian-collusion hoax

Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, a Democrat operative who bashed Trump on Facebook, was forced to recuse from that case.

Six weeks later, Reinhart’s clear bias against Trump (somehow) didn’t matter anymore. Reinhart approved Biden’s (through Garland and Jay Bratt, now Jack Smith’s counselor) unprecedented, unnecessary, and unlawful raid on Trump.

For presidential records Trump was allowed to have in the Office of the Former President, per the Presidential Records Act.

In other words, Obama and Biden have politicized and weaponized law enforcement and intel agencies to interfere in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 presidential elections against Trump.

Because Obama and Biden know Trump has the goods on their ongoing Russian-collusion criminal conspiracy.

The Trump 47 DOJ must deliver severe consequences.

Merrick Garland/Lisa Monaco DOJ and Chris Wray/Steven D’Antuono FBI sent agents to interview (interrogate) one of Trump’s closest personal aides without Trump’s knowledge. The ruse–once again–was national security interests. (Just like Mike Flynn ambush by FBI in 2017). Nauta, like Flynn, wanted to help the FBI get information. But Nauta walked into a perjury trap by agents who talk like Romy and Michelle.

Some mini bombshells out of this afternoon’s court hearing in Florida classified docs case. First, things continue to get spicy between Judge Cannon and Jack Smith’s team. She expressed great frustration at what she called “secrecy” surrounding grand jury materials in DC. Keep in mind–DOJ then Jack Smith conducted nearly the entire investigation in Trump-hating DC then switched to FLA at last minute for indictment. Cannon said there is something “ambiguous going on in the background” and commented that it is “impossible to really know” why grand jury materials remain in DC, some under seal. She pushed Jay Bratt, Smith’s lead prosecutor, to explain why records from a closed grand jury matter must remain sealed. Apparently one matter involves Judge Beryl Howell’s order that pierced attorney-client privilege between Trump and his lawyer. Defense attorney Stanley Woodward said he has asked DC court to docket his requests for certain GJ materials. They have “declined,” he told Cannon.

      Julie Kelly:

Second–and stunningly–Jay Bratt basically admitted they do not have proof that Walt Nauta, charged with conspiring with Trump to conceal classified files from Trump’s lawyer then the FBI to impede grand jury investigation, moved boxes that actually contained papers with classified markings.

He also indicated he did not believe DOJ would have to prove that at trial. HUH?

That prompted a heated response by Woodward. “Show us the evidence” he said. If, as Bratt stated, they can’t or don’t have to prove Nauta moved boxes with records with classified markings “there is no crime.”

DOJ making “assumptions” that any boxes Nauta moved contained sought-after evidence.

And get this: All the boxes retrieved during MAL raid are at the corrupt Washington FBI field office. Agents apparently removed the alleged “classified documents” and put some sort of marking as to where the contraband paper was in the box.

      Suuuure.
