    1. Morning, Pat! Some time ago, when I found myself unable to fall asleep, I started doing slow, really deep breathing, focusing solely on that….next thing I knew, I was waking up in the morning. And why would you apologize for snoring? You have no control over that…..

27 on my thermometer this morning – predicting down to 16 one night this week-end. Ah! And there’s Wheezer showing up for breakfast. He’s still very leery of me…I opened the door to put his food out and he scooted out the doggie door. But a few seconds after I came inside, he returned to eat.

I turned on Fox, only for breaking news since Newsmax is always behind the 8-ball on that, and what do I see? The TikTok video of the illegal bragging about taking over abandoned houses. But do they focus on the issue with the border? No, Brian Kilmeade focuses on the fact that it was done on that oh-so-dangerous TikTok!!! Have I said lately how much I despise that POS??? They could have just as easily used Twitter/X or any other social media app!!!

And again, rescuing Americans from Haiti who were beyond stupid to go there in the first place!!!! In this case, I agree with the administration’s statement that the State Dept. has been warning for months and months to avoid Haiti!!! They chose to be stupid – this is on THEM and not our responsibility!!!

In case you hadn’t guessed….I woke up in a bad mood and thoroughly fed up!!!

      1. Morning Filly!
i thought i was snoring, because hubby snores when he sleeps on his back–but only sometimes–and if it wakes me up and won’t let me go back to sleep, i gently tap his shoulder and whisper roll over–which he does.
I thought i was getting the return treatment…lol

      1. agreed–that’s why i want everyone in the dept–of Homeland Security fired–all the way to the top–and if that doesn’t rectify it–go higher–the entire executive branch should be held accountable.

    1. You prompted me to look up the DHS (Office of Homeland Security) on Wiki. It was created by George W. Bush in 2002, following 9/11. The first director was Thomas Ridge. On March 1, 2003, 22 agencies united under a single department. DHS covers the third largest department of the US government, with a workforce of 260,000 and 22 components, including TSA, Customs and Border Protection, CISA, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, US citizenship and Immigration, FEMA, Coast Guard, and Secret Service . . . Current director is Alejandro N. Mayorkas.

My point is that all government bureaucracies consist of bureaucrats who don’t know how to do anything except generate needless paperwork.

No wonder Gov. Greg Abbott is doing Texas’ own border security.

  2. I commented on a Substack this morning asking them to please stop calling the US a “democracy” instead of a “Constitutional Republic.” Getting a LOT of likes on that, thankfully! We need to push this wherever we can to wake people up!!!

The Clinton Foundation Timeline website has a big Thank You to The Conservative Treehouse.
Introduction: Conservative TreehouseIn Conservative Treehouse, Email/Dossier/Govt Corruption Investigations, Independent Researchers by Katie WeddingtonJanuary 1, 2000
Conservative Treehouse has been very generous in allowing us to republish some of their work and we would like to thank them publicly for saving us countless hours in research, and for sharing in a common goal to awaken the masses the best way we can. They have a stellar research team that is doing deep dives into IG Reports, FBI Reports, Congressional testimonies, text messages, emails…where there is information or a document to be found, they’re on it.
They also have an excellent video production team and so I’d like to introduce some of their work that you will find peppered throughout our timelines. In this series of videos, CT reports on the DOJ OIG Horowitz Report and their findings on the Clinton email investigation and the Weiner laptop.
You can find all of their excellent work at: Conservative Treehouse
“This is the first of a series of reports on the Department of Justice Inspector General’s report on the investigation of Hillary Clinton by the FBI and Justice Department. This report focuses on DOJ’s legal interpretation that virtually assured Clinton would not be prosecuted. And that, as the IG reports states, the FBI and DOJ knew that “by September 2015.”

  6. President Trump’s response to 6-Pence not endorsing him? “I couldn’t care less.”

    FTA

“Oh, I couldn’t care less,” Trump told the press corps. “I couldn’t care less. We need patriots. We need strong people in our country. Our country is going downhill very fast, very rapidly.”

He added: “Millions of people coming across the border, coming from jails, from prisons, coming from mental institutions and insane asylum terrorists. We need strong people in this country. We don’t need weak people.”

  7. Pat, have you ever seen the movie “The Horse Whisperer?” Incredibly good movie, if you haven’t watched it.

PLOT: “The mother of a severely traumatized daughter enlists the aid of a unique horse trainer to help the girl’s equally injured horse.

Teenager Grace MacLean (Scarlett Johansson) is riding her horse and is hit by a truck. To help heal her troubled and injured daughter, and horse, the mother, Annie MacLean (Dame Kristin Scott Thomas), takes them to Montana to recuperate at the ranch of Tom Booker (Robert Redford), a “horse whisperer”, a horse healer of mystical talents. Annie proceeds to fall in love with him, as well.

It is a cold winter night. Grace MacLean (Scarlett Johansson) and her best friend Judith (Kate Bosworth) go for a ride with their horses, but a terrible accident changes their lives forever. A truck hits them, Judith and her horse are killed, while Grace and her horse Pilgrim are seriously injured, both physically and mentally.

In an attempt to bring Pilgrim back from his now savage condition, Grace’s mother Annie (Dame Kristin Scott Thomas) takes them to Montana in search of Tom Booker (Robert Redford). Tom is a “horse whisperer,” a cowboy with the ability to “communicate” with horses. In the land of the Wild West, Annie will change the way she sees life forever, as the wise cowboy slowly heals the souls of Pilgrim and Grace.”

When Grace finally rides Pilgrim again….

  8. Well, I’m pleased – our Governor vetoed the bill for “Syringe Service Programs” to provide syringes to addicts and the proponents failed to get enough votes to override the veto. Yeah!!!

New York Attorney General’s office takes initial step to prepare to seize Trump’s assets, including golf course and private estate north of Manhattan.

  10. Just The News: “New York Democratic Attorney General Letitia James took her first step toward seizing the assets of former President Donald Trump as part of the more than $450 million civil fraud judgment he faces.

James’ office filed judgments in Westchester County, which indicates that the state is getting ready to try to seize Seven Springs, Trump’s golf course and private estate, CNN reported Thursday.

The judgments were entered with the Westchester County Clerk’s Office on March 6, one week after Judge Arthur Engoron ordered Trump to pay the major fraud fine and well before Trump’s deadline to satisfy the judgment.

The filing is the first step a creditor takes to try to recover property. The next steps could be putting liens on assets or trying to force a foreclosure, among other things.

Trump offered last month to post a $100 million appeal bond instead of the full $464 million he is required to post to appeal, but Engoron denied the proposal.”

  11. Just The News: “The House Judiciary Committee led by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Thursday sued in federal court to compel two Justice Department Tax Division officials to testifying about the wide-ranging investigation into Hunter Biden.

The 59-page lawsuit seeks to enforce congressional subpoenas for the testimony of Mark Daly and Jack Morgan that were previously issued as part of the committee’s investigation of allegations that Hunter Biden received favorable treatment from prosecutors during its investigation into the first son’s tax crimes.

Some of the allegations were brought to the House Ways and Means Committee last year by two IRS whistleblowers, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler.”

Well, well, well…lookie what we have here…

“Executive Director of the Georgetown University School of Law’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protections Mary McCord was cited by Sessions for her recent comments, per NBC, that “We’re already starting to put together a team to think through the most damaging types of things that he [Trump] might do so that we’re ready to bring lawsuits if we have to.”

McCord, and those working with her on this project, have been figuring out how to nullify the next American president in the event that the people choose Trump.

“Please define if Professor McCord and her colleague are conducting this hyper partisan activity under the auspices of ICAP—an entity which is described as a ‘non-partisan institute within Georgetown University Law Center’ on the ICAP website,” Sessions demands.

Sessions’ concerns here stem from the NBC News report describing McCord’s work with a “loose-knit network of public interest groups and lawmakers” that is “quietly devising plans to try to foil any efforts to expand presidential power, which could include pressuring the military to cater to [Trump’s] political needs.”

    This is just so outrageous…

    https://www.cnbc.com/2024/03/21/judge-orders-trump-company-to-tell-watchdog-about-appeal-bonds.html

FTA: “A judge ordered Donald Trump’s company Thursday to inform a court-appointed financial watchdog about any future efforts to obtain an appeal bond.

Judge Arthur Engoron’s order came three days after Trump’s lawyers said in a court filing it has been “impossible” for the former president to get such a bond for a civil fraud case he lost.

Trump was seeking the bond to prevent New York’s attorney general from collecting on a $454 million civil fraud judgment against him while he appeals the verdict in Manhattan Supreme Court.

His attorneys said more than 30 surety companies rejected Trump’s request for a bond.”
