I found an interesting article about the origins of a mysterious tower in Rhode Island.
From AncientPages.com Ellen Lloyd:
There is an intriguing stone structure in Newport, Rhode Island that has been a subject of great controversy and debate. Standing in the heart of the city there is a 28-foot tower that is just as impressive as mysterious. No-one knows who built the tower or when it was constructed. Several theories have been put forward. Some have suggested the tower was built by the Vikings. Others maintain it’s a legacy of the Knights Templar.
The tower has also been said to be the work of Freemasons. Native Americans, Chinese explorers and Celts have also been credited with the construction of the tower.Despite all guesses and speculations, many still think the tower’s existence is a real scientific enigma.
According to the mainstream theory, the Newport Tower was built in the mid-17th century. It was originally a windmill. In 1948, the Society for American Archaeology investigated the tower and scientists concluded that all artifacts discovered at the site were from the 17th century.
Newport Tower And Its Astronomical Alignments with Planet Venus
In 20018, forensic geologist Scott Wolter established that the Newport Tower’s construction was completed long before Christopher Columbus reached the New World. This conclusion was controversial and many scientists are still upset by Wolter’s theory. When Wolter investigated the structure, he discovered that Venus alignments are captured in the tower, providing evidence consistent with medieval Cistercian/Templar construction practices that reflect, in part, their religious ideology.

“The capturing of astronomical alignments of the Sun, Moon, and Venus in Western European standing stone sites and churches allowed the builders to use these structures as clocks and calendars, and for determining longitude (using solar and lunar eclipses) and latitude, “Frank Joseph wrote in his book The Lost Worlds of Ancient America: Compelling Evidence of Ancient Immigrants, Lost Technologies, and Places of Power.
Did Vikings or Ancient Chinese Build Newport Tower?
Historian Gavin Menzies argues that in 1421, Chinese sailors built the tower as either a lighthouse or an observatory. According to Menzies, at Newport, the expedition commanded by Admiral Zhou Wen was forced to stop. There they stayed long enough to regroup their fleet and to build a lighthouse. This structure, in his view, resembles a Song Dynasty lighthouse design from the Fijian province in southern China. His theory has not gained many followers and has been rejected by most scientists.

Was Newport Tower built by the Vikings or Knights Templar?
In 1837, Danish archaeologist Carl Christian Rafn published a book named Antiquitates Americanæ in which a Viking origin for the tower. Rafn partly based on his research of the inscriptions on the Dighton Rock near the mouth of the Taunton River. Rafn became convinced it was a Norse structure built by medieval Vikings who regularly crossed the North Atlantic in open boats.
Does The Newport Tower Have Masonic Roots?
Danish researcher, Jorgen Siemonsen suggests the Newport tower is the work of Freemasons. According to Siemonsen circumstantial evidence points toward the fledgling Freemason movement in Rhode Island and a well-connected, English-trained architect who found work among the rich and famous of Colonial Newport.

That architect, Peter Harrison, laid out an octagon summer house in the mid-1700s for Abraham Redwood, a wealthy Newport merchant, Siemonsen said. That geometric form, closely associated with the Freemasons, is mimicked in the eight pillars of the tower, a little more than a block away, that Siemonsen speculated Harrison also designed.
The tower grounds, according to the Dane, could have been a “Masonic garden’’ where the fraternity conducted its rituals.
As you can see there are many theories and they all offer a very different historical account of the construction of the mysterious Newport tower.
Many questions remain unanswered and we still don’t know for what purpose the tower was constructed. Was it a windmill, an observatory or a temple?

Morning! We’re supposed to possibly get some light rain/snow later today with a high only predicted in the 40’s. But the precip is further south and east so we might get the tail end of it. And temps go right back up into the mid-to-high 60’s thru next week….then again, that could change in 24 hrs.

Nassau County Exec Blakeman filed a federal lawsuit against Lettia James–fighting back!
FTA
James slammed the lawsuit in statements to the NY Post, reiterating the rhetoric in her cease-and-desist letter.
“County Executive Blakeman’s executive order is transphobic and discriminatory,” she claimed. “Our laws protect New Yorkers from discrimination, and the Office of the Attorney General is committed to upholding those laws and protecting our communities.”
The Republican County official suggest that women’s rights precede those alluded by James’s interpretation of the New York Human Rights Law.
As reported by the Post, Blakeman’s attorneys wrote, “The defendants’ reliance upon and application of the New York Human Rights Law violates the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution … the Human Rights Law is unconstitutional because it elevates transgender women to a level not recognized by Federal law in the athletics context all to the detriment of biological girls and women, which are federally recognized.”

some interesting new tidbits about the fanny

One of the most interesting things to come out in trial yesterday was how totally brazen Nathan Wade was in leaving his wife. They literally dropped their kids off at college, and this stay at home mom was served with divorce papers the minute she got back, to the never ending divorce. STILL NOT DIVORCED.
But in his brain he was single and ready to mingle, said Wade. In his brain the divorce was done, long ago.
That’s also where he keeps the work product the taxpayers of Fulton county paid for. Where’s that report we paid for about all the prison deaths? In my brain, says the smiling Wade as he counts his Ca$h.
He left her high and dry, and went off to continue his surreptitious affair with Fani, where they lied to everyone including her father and raked in the cold ca$h seized from other people and granted to her as D.A. for the purpose of hiring 55 new attorneys for her office. Which she DID NOT HIRE. Instead she paid Wade, more than the real RICO expert, and his law partners, for which he made a % off too.
BTW, he pretended in court, did this a lot, that he couldn’t find her to serve her the papers any earlier than the day after he got his “$pecial Pro$ecutor arrangement”. You know, like before all of his adultery began years before the kids went to college.
And it was his former partner Bradley that exposed him, anonymously, or so he thought. Wade and Fani would never have known this had they not taken Ashleigh Merchant to court to pry it out of her. That is how devious they are. These are two top rated crooks slithering around, yet operating in plain view for years, but all it took was Ashleigh Merchant to pin them to the wall.
Georgia needs her as D.A., STAT!

Just The News: “Billionaire businessman Elon Musk said Wednesday that he won’t donate to anyone seeking the U.S. presidency in 2024.
The Tesla and SpaceX owner’s announcement came after a meeting with former President Donald Trump on Sunday.
“Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President,” Musk wrote on X.
The meeting at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf club in Palm Beach, Florida, led to speculation that Musk could bankroll Trump as he faces four criminal trials and multiple civil lawsuits.
Trump has lost a series of civil lawsuits and faces millions in judgments as he appeals and seeks a second term in the White House.
Trump must pay $454 million to comply with the verdict in one civil fraud trial, a New York appeals court judge ruled. Trump is appealing a ruling by Superior Court Judge Arthur Engoron in a civil fraud lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James in 2022, accusing the judge of “errors of law and/or fact, abused its discretion, and/or acted in excess of its jurisdiction.” Engoron found that Trump, his company, and top executives, including his sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, deceived banks and insurers by inflating the value of his family’s wealth on financial statements used to secure loans. The judge ordered Trump to pay $355 million in penalties, which, with interest, has grown to nearly $454 million. That fine will increase by nearly $112,000 daily until he pays.
In January, a jury ordered Trump to pay $83.3 million in damages to an 80-year-old writer who accused him of ruining her reputation by denying he raped her in 1995 or 1996. The jury awarded $18.3 million in compensatory damages and $65 million in punitive damages. Trump is appealing that verdict but must put up money to do so.
Trump also faces 91 criminal counts in four separate indictments. He faces two state criminal trials and two federal trials.
Former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley dropped out of the Republican presidential primary Wednesday morning, setting up a rematch between Trump, 77, and President Joe Biden, 81.”

NE is a mix and, unfortunately, they purchased a new voting and tabulation system as well as an EMS (election management system) from ESS, which is Buffet’s company…grrrr….NE only selects 2 – 2.5% of precincts in the State for a post-election audit; votes cast in one Federal race, one State race and one Local race are counted by hand to ensure they match the transmitted results.
Each county has a County Election Official who transmits the results to the SOS office either manually or by uploading a digital file. All transmitted vote totals are confirmed thru a comparison with the county abstract of votes.
You can change your party affiliation on-line only if you currently have a valid NE driver’s license or ID card. The designation by Trump that election security is “critical infrastructure” opened up access by the States to Federal programs and services. And, IMO, that led to opening the State up to fraudulent voting.

I vote for the Vikings, because of proximity and earlier Viking landings on the North American continent. The alignment with Venus is interesting, since Rhode Island’s latitude puts it closer to the arctic circle, and Venus stays within 45 degrees of the sun.

Reading comments, much to say. Raytheon is a notorious war contractor. I liked Nikki Haley when she was governor of South Carolina, but I believe she refused the Vice Presidency under Trump. Instead she became the US delegate to the UN, and voted with the globalists to avoid reprimanding Israel for its genocide in Gaza. Meanwhile, Elon Musk is smart to stay away from the US presidency campaign. He is a brilliant man. I can’t keep up with the machinations around Fani Willis, but as a Georgian, I believe the War Between the States had more to do with Yankee invasion of Southern tradition and culture than slavery. Lincoln was an opportunist who devastated the South to swat a mosquito, as GMO-corn, pesticides, and other products are doing now. I vote for Gregg Abbott. The US is doomed if we can’t learn to get along.

I’ve said for a long time now that Lincoln’s priority wasn’t freeing the slaves at all. As with all wars, it was solely about $$$ and power. The south was getting shafted by the north, many of whom also owned slaves, BTW! All of those fighting for the “north” were brainwashed to believe that was what it was all about, including my adopted GGF, who was wounded at Gettysburg. As for Nikki, she is THE face of the military industrial complex, within which Raytheon is one of many. I worked in the MIC off-and-on for almost 20 years in NOVA and know it well.

As for this so-called “genocide” committed by Israel….pot calling the kettle black is a good comparison. Hamas murders FAR more of their own people annually, I can guarantee you of that!
First off, I don’t agree with any one religion having it’s own country, whether that be Jews or Muslims. Second, there ARE no “people” called “Palestinians!”
They are Arabs from Egypt, Jordan, etc. In one of the many wars (IDR dates), their OWN military TOLD them to abandon their territory in “Israel” (that was incorrectly being called Palestine) and flee and they chose to do so. Until then, Lebanon was a Christian country – with all of the invaders and election shenanigans, it was rapidly converted to primarily Islam. Brigitte Gabriel has done a lot of coverage on that subject. Look at Lebanon now!!!
In the intervening years, Israel turned that barren desert into flourishing agriculture centers and built towns. Then, years and years later, the Fakestinians think they have the right of return to take control of all the progress made by the Israelis? I DON’T THINK SO!!!
Still, it remains a complicated and convoluted subject.

You are right. It is complicated. I’ve never been there and only know from books, newspapers, magazines, and internet. I don’t have a TV. I do know that land has been a crucial crossroads for millennia, between Europe, Africa, and Asia. There has been a lot of intermixing of peoples, cultural traditions, trade, and war. Regarding religion, the Jews predate Christians and Muslims. Historically, they have excelled in linguistics and finance, so became the financiers for empires and business interests, since they were also hard-driving businessmen.
I have a rather detached non-denominational aproach to war and violence. Maybe that makes me a Christian, because Jesus best espoused my beliefs. I don’t really believe much in land ownership, but I’m rooted to where I was born and feel the overlays of history, as from the inside of an egg.

I lean that way myself – I’ve come to the conclusion that I am more of a humanist than anything else. But I do believe in owning your own land — it was the conclusion I came to after years and years and years of renting. Going to all the trouble to engage in landscaping and gardening, only to have to walk away and leave the paradise I’ve built for myself. And I never dreamed I would be able to own my own home some day. Thanks to a small inheritance from my adopted Mom, I was able to buy my place here, just under an acre. I spent easily the first 5 years feeling that sense of wonder at knowing that NO-ONE could ever kick me out; I could feel secure planting a bush or plant that doesn’t mature for 5+ years, knowing I would still be here to enjoy it as long as my health allowed. That feeling of ownership can make all the difference in a person’s mental well being, especially for someone like me who had a decidedly insecure childhood.

One other point: other religions around the world pre-date the Jews so….who is to say which is the “right” religion? Only each individual can decide that for themselves.

Agreed. I have a child-like approach, that God is love. Rather, the substance of the universe is love, and there are lots of ways that plays out. Long before the monotheists, there were the pantheists in all cultures. What we call mythology and folklore stem from sets of beliefs about divinity or divinities. Together, they make for a colorful human heritage.

“You’re Fired!” – Donald Trump Issues Prebuttal to Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address — The former president did not hold back in his comprehensive condemnation of Joe Biden.”
THE VIGILANT FOX
MAR 7, 2024
“What’s happened now is a horror show,” declared former President Trump Wednesday before Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, slated for 9 p.m. Eastern. The former president took the opportunity to record a prebuttal to Biden’s speech.
The following is a verbatim statement from Trump:
Joe Biden is on the run from his record and lying like crazy to try and escape accountability for the horrific devastation he and his party have created. All the while, they continue the very policies that are causing this horror show to go. We cannot take it any longer as a country. Joe Biden’s sad excuse for a State of the Union address aside.
Here are the facts: When I left office, we gave Joe Biden the most secure border in US history. We gave him Remain in Mexico [policy]. Very tough to get, but I got it. Safe Third agreements, the asylum ban, Title 42, 571 miles of border wall, rapid deportations, and much more. We had the safest border in the history of our country. As soon as he got in, Crooked Joe and his radical left lunatics deliberately dismantled each and every one of those policies that were so good — that gave us this best border, according to Tom Holman, according to Brandon Judd, the top people, they said it was the single best border we’ve ever had in recorded history.
What’s happened now is a horror show. The country, our country, is being laughed at all over the world. Over the past three years, Biden has actively aided and abetted the importation of millions and millions of illegal alien migrants and resettled them into your communities at any time during the past three years.
Crooked Joe Biden, and he is crooked as you can be, and the most incompetent president we’ve ever had, could have called off the invasion. But to this day, he is keeping the hordes of illegal migrants and illegal aliens pouring into the country.
By the time his term is up, we could have close to 20 million people in our country. And we have no idea from where they come. We have no idea who they are. They have no identification. Many come from mental institutions. Many come from prisons. They’re terrorists. We have a calamity the likes of which we’ve never seen before.
The very first bill Joe Biden sent to Congress was a plan to turn illegal aliens into voting citizens. That’s just what we need. No matter what Crooked Joe says, his actions prove his priority is to import a colossal new illegal alien population and let them all stay. My priority is securing our border and sending crooked Joe’s illegals back home.
Likewise, the sight of a feeble Joe Biden talking about “shrinkflation,” the term he uses, is one of the most ridiculous things this country has ever seen. Shrinkflation is just another way of saying inflation. It means that you’re losing a lot of money because these people don’t know what they’re doing.
It was all caused by Crooked Joe Biden and the people that surround him. And they are radical left Marxists and fascists and communists and socialists. We have people running our country, the likes of which we have never seen before. He and the communists and his party looted trillions of dollars from you and spent it on illegal aliens and the green news scam, triggering the highest inflation in many, many decades. If your packages are getting smaller, that’s the reason why.
Under my leadership, there was no inflation. We had the greatest economy in the history of the world. It’s time to tell Crooked Joe Biden, “You’re fired!”
