Try That in a Small Town

In honor of Jason Aldean’s birthday, I present the lyrics to one of my favorite songs by him…Try That in a Small Town.

Sucker punch somebody on a sidewalk
Car jack an old lady at a red light
Pull a gun on the owner of a liquor store
You think it’s cool, well, act a fool if you like
Cuss out a cop, spit in his face
Stomp on the flag and light it up
Yeah, you think you’re tough

Well, try that in a small town
See how far you make it down the road
‘Round here we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won’t take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don’t
Try that in a small town

Got a gun that my granddad gave me
They say one day they’re gonna round up
Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck

Try that in a small town
See how far you make it down the road
‘Round here we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won’t take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don’t

Try that in a small town
Full of good ol’ boys, raised up right
If you’re looking for a fight
Try that in a small town
(Try that in a small town)

Try that in a small town
(See how far you make it down the road)
‘Round here we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won’t take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don’t
Try that in a small town
(Try that in a small town)

Ooh, try that in a small town

    1. Morning, Pat! I just did not want to get up this morning! We’re at 7 at the moment – that’s with the sun shining brightly! But the wind has dropped, thankfully, and no more snow.

    1. Don’t get me wrong – I really like that guy…but he is sooo vain about his body and his muscles. Notice how he always wears shirts and jackets that show off his bulging muscles. That jacket is way too small for him.

        1. I’m beginning to wonder if he’s gay – that is something gays do a lot, show off their muscles. He is 54 and never been married, no info on anything else.

              1. IDT the average Joe on the street would even realize that either Scott or Ric are gay. Most people don’t know the signs to look for – I can tell after only 5 minutes of watching someone speak in most cases. There are a few that surprised me but not many.

    ⚡️Campaign Finance 🧵: Letitia James

When I got asked to look into Letitia James’ financials last week, I really wasn’t expecting to find much. As you probably know, James is the Attorney General of New York who just secured a $454 million judgement against Donald Trump.

James was elected as the NY AG in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Prior to that James was the NYC “public advocate” for 4 years and a NYC city council member for 8 years prior to that. Prior to elected office she was a public defender for Legal Aid.

IOW Letitia James is a lifelong public servant and other than a mishap in the 2010s where she neglected to list the Brooklyn brownstone she owns & rents out on her financial disclosure forms, she hasn’t had any public scandals.

With that being said, I’m not quite sure what I was expecting to find but I do know I wasn’t expecting what I found.

The first thing you’ll notice when you download and sort the expenditures of any politician running for reelection in a safe seat is how they use their campaign funds to supplement their lifestyles to a degree middle America could never dream of.

What do I mean? Well, in 2023 alone, James spent over $28,500 on hotels. Over $15,000 of that was spent on luxury hotels in Puerto Rico.

Then there’s the airfare. In the 5 years she’s been the New York State AG, James’ has spent over $84,000 on airfare to fly herself all over the country.

    This includes private jet rentals.

She’s billed her campaign over $20,000/year for meals. And no, these aren’t large catering events.

These are receipts for everything from $18 at Dunkin Donuts to $60 at Dave & Busters to $165 at an oyster bar in Massachusetts and then $700 at a steakhouse in Brooklyn.

Then there’s thousands spent on Ubers and Lyfts.

Tens of thousands spent on “office” at everywhere from Target to BJ’s wholesale.

Over $7,000 dropped at a nightclub in NYC and billed as “office.”

I could go on… the multiple stays at the Beverly Hills Wilshire, the $65,000 in “reimbursements” to “campaign consultants” which could literally be anything.

Speaking of campaign consultants, can anyone tell me why a state Attorney General would need to spend over $300,000 in a single year on campaign consultants when they *just* won re-election the previous November? What could she possibly be consulting on?

Furthermore, why do these million dollar “campaign consultancy firms” always seem to be ran out of random 2 bedroom apartments?

TBC I’m not accusing Ms. James of breaking the law w her expenditures.

But considering the high bar she set for Trump in his civil fraud case, I find it more than a little galling that she plays so fast and loose w what she deems to be “legitimate campaign expenses.”

$4,335 at “Nathan’s Luxlifestyle” on Martha’s Vineyard last August? Mmm hmm.

$5,122 dropped at the “48 Lounge” in NYC last September under expense code “office.”

    Righhhtttt….

So you might be wondering, where does all this money come from?

Well here’s where things get interesting.

Because it appears our holier than thou Attorney General, Ms. James, has gotten herself wrapped up in the ghost donor scam.

Now I knew the ghost donor bots weren’t just operating at the federal level but I had no clue how big it was at the state level.

Here’s a list of Ms. James’ total donations and their corresponding receipts by year… anything jump out at you?

Obviously 2022 is off the charts. Over 32,500 receipts and over 62% are from out of state. Who the heck donates to an Attorney General, running in a totally safe seat, in a whole other state?!

    Answer: Ghost donors.

Take for instance this woman named Suzanne, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Ms. Suzanne has to be one of the most faithful Democrat donors on the planet. Not only did she make 3,232 individual donations to ActBlue in just one year (2022) totaling more than $46,193

But she also found the time and money to also make 25 separate donations (for $266) to Letitia James’ campaign and another 9 (for $305) to Kathy Hochul!

And she didn’t stop there! I found Suzanne’s name on the donor rolls in Nevada, Idaho and Virginia!

Or how about this lovely old lady Barbara from Silver Springs, Maryland. Ms. Barbara, a retired 71 year old widow living in a modest townhouse, not only made 1547 donations to ActBlue at the federal level totaling more than $37,000

She also gave Letitia James $610 total in 34 separate transactions and then she sprinkled some money in Nevada, Massachusetts and Wisconsin!

I could go on but yall get the point. Almost every name I grabbed from James’ 2022 donor list had AT LEAST 200+ donations at the fed level for 2022 and tons of them had over 2,000.

It turns out ghost donors are just as big of a problem at the state level as they are at the federal.

So to recap: we’ve got unknown entities funding our state and federal elections and everywhere you turn there’s a sleazy politician using this tainted campaign money to fund their extravagant lifestyles.

If you enjoy my threads on campaign finance be sure to share them and if you’re feeling generous buy me a coffee to help support independent journalism!

Why are we enrolling all these illegal alien children into our schools?

    Because it’s a path to issuing a formal State-issued license, that’s why!

According to the State of Indiana,”you must be a legal resident of Indiana to obtain an Indiana credential. Evidence of Indiana residency includes:

    1) Maintaining a residential address in Indiana and not claiming residency in another state

    2) Being a registered voter in Indiana

    3) Having a dependent who is enrolled in an elementary or secondary school located in Indiana

Straight out of the BMV study guide for new drivers. Did any of these options mention that you have to be citizen? Nope.

EXCERPT: “Gary Sinise’s only son, McCanna “Mac” Sinise, died last month after a 5½-year fight with a rare bone cancer, the veterans activist and “Forrest Gump” actor announced Tuesday on his foundation’s website.

“Like any family experiencing such a loss, we are heartbroken and have been managing as best we can,” the actor wrote. “As parents, it is so difficult losing a child. My heart goes out to all who have suffered a similar loss, and to anyone who has lost a loved one.”

Mac Sinise was 33 when the cancer chordoma took his life Jan. 5, his father wrote. After being diagnosed in August 2018 — the same year his mother, Moira, was diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer — Mac faced five spine surgeries in less than two years, Sinise said, in addition to radiation and chemotherapy treatments….”

  5. Entire article @ Just The news: “Former President Donald Trump decidedly won the Michigan Republican primary on Tuesday evening, notching another win in a string of consecutive primary victories as he appears poised to claim the party nomination.

Trump declared the win was a harbinger for an even bigger victory in November in the battleground state, predicting autoworkers are moving in his direction because they were dissatisfied with Joe Biden‘s electric vehicle mandates. “We win Michigan; we win the whole thing,” he said during a victory speech. “The auto workers are with us. We have so many people with us.

”They’ve destroyed the auto working business—the auto workers— with this new deal, and with the all-electric mandate, all those cars are going to be made in China. And we’re going to bring it all back into Michigan and other places in our country.”

The Associated Press projected Trump to win the contest with 65.0% of the vote as of press time. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley placed second with 30.9%, while “uncommitted” votes placed third with 2.0%. Pastor Ryan Binkley earned 0.2%.

Ahead of the contest, Binkley withdrew from the race and endorsed Trump. He had not qualified for any of the Republican National Committee’s primary debates and struggled to gain traction as a candidate despite spending millions of his own money on his campaign. Other candidates who withdrew also appeared on the ballot, including Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, who earned 1.1%.

The Tuesday contest will only see the party allocate 16 of the state’s 55 delegates while the remainder will be up for grabs during the March 2 party convention, according to the New York Times.

Haley has remained in the race despite losing her home state of South Carolina to Trump over the weekend. Prior to that contest, she stated she would stay in the primary “until the American people close the door.”

  6. “Student group sues school for allegedly trying to cancel Riley Gaines event by jacking security fees”
By Charlotte Hazard, Just The News
    Published: February 27, 2024 1:43pm

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A conservative student group at the University of New Mexico says the school had demanded increased security for an upcoming speech it’s paying for by women’s sports activist Riley Gaines to the extent the group can no longer afford the event, resulting in a federal lawsuit arguing the school’s move is an attempt to stifle free speech.

The suit was filed Tuesday by the Southeastern Legal Foundation on behalf of the Turning Point USA chapter at the university and the Leadership Institute. It alleges the university charged the student groups over $5,000 in security fees to host Gaines due to her views on biological men competing in women’s sports, which resulted in massive protests at other schools.

“Rather than meet its duty to staff security with money from its multi-million dollar endowment, to protect the students, and to remove any potential hecklers from the crowd, UNM instead imposed a hefty fee on the students that they surely would not be able to afford,” the Southeastern Legal Foundation stated.

Gaines is a former NCAA swimmer who is one of the most vocal of athletes advocating against biological males competing in women’s sports due to her racing against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. The Southeastern Legal Foundation alleges that the school only raised the speaking fees after it found out Gaines was speaking.

“Turning Point USA is the only conservative group left on UNM’s campus, and it is no wonder,” said CeCe O’Leary, director of SLF’s legal initiatives. “When students have to pay thousands of dollars every time they want to engage in basic speech activities—the very thing they are supposed to be doing during their college years – eventually they stop speaking and assembling altogether.”

The University of New Mexico has not responded for comment at this time. The case is active in the District Court of New Mexico.”

  7. “Conservative film producer says Mexican officials ‘obstructing’ his presidential bid, plans to sue”

By Nicholas Ballasy, Just The News
    Published: February 27, 2024 11:00pm
    Updated: February 28, 2024 3:20am

EXCERPT: “Actor and political activist Eduardo Verástegui, a producer of the film “Sound of Freedom” who has registered as an independent candidate for president of Mexico, said Mexican election officials are intentionally “obstructing” his bid for the presidency. He warned at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this month that Mexico “will become Cuba and Venezuela on steroids” without a change in leadership.

Verástegui said he is still waiting for Mexican election officials to formally certify him as an presidential candidate and if they do not, he plans to take them to court, in part due to technical problems with the National Electoral Institute’s smartphone application.

“I’m fighting with the majority of the people and we have a movement. We’re going to build our own political party in 2025, Viva Mexico, a political party, a conservative party, because Mexico is a conservative country, a Christian country, Catholic country, governed by an anti-Christian government, anti-Catholic government, a communist government,” he said during an interview at the conference.

“And if we don’t do something now, I’m telling you, this is very big. Mexico will become Cuba and Venezuela on steroids at your southern border,” he added. Verástegui described the fight in Mexico and other countries like Spain and El Salvador as “the globalists against the sovereignists.” He noted that the people of El Salvador re-elected President Nayib Bukele, a conservative, and he predicted that Mexico will eventually do the same.

“Even though they have the media, they have Hollywood, they have some universities, they have hospitals, Big Pharma, the U.N., European Parliament, a lot of institutions, we have the people, and the people are waking up. And when the people wake up, no one can stop us,” he said.

Verástegui has been outspoken about the amount of child trafficking and drug smuggling taking place at the U.S.-Mexico border. According to a U.S. Department of State report, the Department of Homeland Security in fiscal year 2022 opened 1,373 human trafficking investigations, up from 1,111 the prior year. The report also revealed that the Justice Department “secured the convictions of 256 traffickers” in fiscal year 2022, which was a “significant increase from 203 traffickers in 2021.”

Verástegui said the Mexico government is doing “zero” to secure the 2,000 mile border it shares with the U.S. “They’re involved. They’re part of the crime. They’re criminals,” he said during the interview.

Verástegui also said former President Trump has done more to combat human trafficking “than any other president in the history of the United States,” including President Biden. “Biden, I think, has done the opposite: harm children unlike any other president in history,” he said….”

  8. “The People have Speaker Johnson’s back for this battle plan and this only. The whole republican Congress must stand in accordance. No retreat, no surrender…If Biden and dems won’t buckle, no option remains: Shutdown the government”
    By A. Dru Kristenev, Canada Free Press–February 28, 2024

EXCERPT: “The deadline approaches (yet again) for the House to weigh what must be done regarding government funding. This Congress has done nothing to restrict, let alone rollback, or restore spending to pre-Covid levels. Instead, what was supposedly a republican majority in the House has allowed itself to be rolled by uniparty saboteurs.

To believe that they “escaped” from the CCP to seek “a better life” is nonsensical and insupportable
With the current budget (if it could be called that) adding one trillion dollars to the deficit approximately every 100 days, there is no time left to play numbers games, nor will the populace tolerate it.

When he landed the seat after McCarthy’s ouster, Speaker Mike Johnson made what is hoped was not an empty promise to abandon all future continuing resolutions. Thus far, he has waffled in his pledge and, against the will of the majority of constituents, championed a short-term CR that is coming to an end this week.

In the view of two-thirds of Americans, according to mainstream pollsters, the end of the road has been reached. There are no more detours available.

Despite the Biden administration braying that there has been no crisis on the border – both borders now – legal citizens realize that it’s not perfectly normal to tally four to five thousand migrant encounters a day at the southern crossings alone. And that does not include the thousands of “gotaways” that avoid ports of entry to engage in illegal activities. Hispanics are now speaking with a majority voice to close the border.

Adding to the those numbers some 44,000 Chinese nationals that Secretary Mayorkas has ushered into the country over the last three years, there is good reason to be alarmed. These are well supplied, generally strapping young men who represent the worst totalitarian regime in the world today. To believe that they “escaped” from the CCP to seek “a better life” is nonsensical and insupportable.

Americans have spoken loudly that they will not suffer one dime more being sent into the financial sieve that is Ukraine’s corrupt government…”

Lara Logan is recounting her horrific 2011 rape in Egypt while she was covering the resignation of then-president Hosni Mubarak. Logan, 49, opened up about the ordeal in an interview with Newsweek on Monday, telling the outlet that she wants to tell her story again as part of a bigger discussion about the media.

“You can’t have a #MeToo movement standing up for women and righting the wrongs of the past but say nothing about a female journalist who was gang-raped and almost died,” she said.

Logan, who was in Cairo at the time working as a journalist for CBS News, said that at first, the crowd she was in seemed “pro-American.” “Suddenly, our translator turned to me with a look of sheer terror and said, ‘Run, run!’ I felt people grabbing between my legs,” she recalled. “I was quite stunned.”

The journalist told Newsweek that her security guard, Ray Jackson, and crew were running with her and others in the crowd. “I thought we were getting away,” Logan said, “but some of the men running with us became my rapists.”

“Ray told me to stay on my feet and hold onto him. If I was knocked down, I’d die. I fought the assault as best I could for 15 minutes, but they tore all my clothes off and raped me with their hands, with flagpoles and with sticks. They sodomized me over and over. They were fighting for my body. I couldn’t hold on to Ray any longer.”

“There was a moment I gave up, but I kept thinking about my two babies,” she said, referring to her children…..

  11. “Guest Submission: Do Big Data and SSRIs equal MK Ultra?”
    POLITICAL MOONSHINE
    FEB 28, 2024

“INTRODUCTION: This article is a guest submission by ShanghaiMoon [@MoonShanghai on Xwitter, @shanghaimoon on Substack]: “Veteran MI analyst, Forensic Investigator, Problem Management. An amateur trains until they get it right, a professional trains until they can’t get it wrong.” The article is reproduced in full as written and readers are left to their own to vet content and sourcing. In short, we both believed this to be excellent information for folks to have in the light of a PSA. Thank you to ShanghaiMoon.

“Do Big Data and SSRIs equal MK Ultra?”
    By ShanghaiMoon

EXCERPT: “Big Data is the term used for massive amounts of data that can be collected from any source and held in the cloud. The raw data is called ‘unstructured data’, while once indexed, it becomes ‘structured data’.

Current global cloud security firms operate their threat identification AI on Big Data pools, that while often provided by the customer (employee status and role lists), are in no way limited to them. There are Big Data services, data brokers, that do nothing but use their AI to scrape the ‘supposedly’ public only data and compile a database to be accessed for a nominal monthly fee.

Consider the email lists, property and criminal records, purchasing history, and reverse phone lookup services we can access as private consumers and realize that is only the tip of the iceberg of these Big Data databases. For example, the ATF has recently been using these public services via credit card companies to circumvent national gun registry restrictions.

Think about all the free psychological profile games on social media. Which Harry Potter character are you? What items can you check on the list that you have done? Who would spend money to create and support these games? How much of our societal demographics can be gleaned from our answers? How do you train an AI?

Most of the readers here are aware of the dangers of social media and of the cultural “nudging” by Main Stream Media. We have seen the censorship, the shadow-banning, deplatforming, and the exclusive promotion of the approved MSM narratives. Tristan Harris with “The Social Dilemma” in 2020 and Shoshana Zuboff with “Surveillance Capitalism” in 2014 were both whistleblowers on the pervasive intrusion of Big Tech manipulation.

Shoshana was shadow-banned nearly off the internet. From search engine biases, the sale of our personal information, to the ubiquitous use of AI to identify and manipulate the target audiences, we have seen how quickly AI advances. It goes without saying that the three major AI that The Social Dilemma referenced will have grown exponentially over the years. I am also certain that there are more than three major AI involved in social media now. Have you heard of one of the oldest AI, Wall Street’s Aladdin? How do Naked Shorts and Dark Money work after hours?

So, once the Big Data is collected how is it used? First, cyber threat analysis, such as someone trying to gain unauthorized access to a corporate or government client’s sensitive data, or worse attempting to download it. Second, identification of an employees’ activity like searching for a new job. Lastly, an outside cyber attack, such as an attempted phishing or port scan for nefarious ends like ransomware.

The above are all the main, publicly touted benefits of Big Data. These apply to governments, government agencies, banking institutions and all major corporations like Amazon.

As of last year, the SLA (Service Level Agreement, which is to say, the expected terms of services purchased and penalties for failure to comply) for identifying a threat was 3 nanoseconds. Let me say that again, 3 nanoseconds. In that 3 nanoseconds, not only is aberrant behavior identified, but also includes all of the following:……”

EXCERPT: “After the onset of Russia’s invasion into Ukraine, western powers responded with haste to impose a plethora of sanctions against Moscow, hoping to use the dollar as an economic weapon to strike back against the Kremlin’s kinetic activities in Ukraine.

Two years ago on this very day, the Biden Administration’s Treasury Department moved to freeze hundreds of billions of dollars in Russian assets that are held in the United States. The number held by the U.S. and European powers is estimated today to amount to $300 billion.

By attacking the Russian Central Bank through the weaponization of the Dollar system, policymakers hoped that the Russian economy would crash as a result. Russia responded by imposing domestic currency controls to protect the Ruble, and sought outside trading partners (China, India, Iran, Saudis, etc.) to cushion the blow of being banned from accessing an enormous chunk of wealth.

The West ultimately did not land the KO punch against the Russian economy. Over the course of two years, the Biden Administration has largely failed to form a broad enough international coalition to freeze Russia out of global markets. The sanctions have not done much at all to mitigate the Russian war effort, and on top of that, taxpayers have soured on the idea of continuing to allocate more cash to Ukraine.

So with the West becoming more frugal with their cash, the people in charge have been brainstorming other ways to facilitate the flow of cash into the monetary black hole that is the Slava Slush Fund. Today, the Biden Administration and Congress have a $300 billion question on their hands: What are they to do about Russia’s frozen stash?,,,..

  17. I am sooo disappointed with this “apology” from Winsome Sears!!!

“Trans Virginia lawmaker storms out of chamber after being called ‘sir’”

    Video

“This is the moment a transgender lawmaker stormed out of the Virginia Senate chamber in protest after Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears referred to the lawmaker as “sir.” Sen. Danica Roem, is the first transgender person to serve in the Virginia legislature.

Roem, who is biologically male but identifies as female, asked a question about a piece of the legislature during a general session in the chamber on Monday (26 February).

Roem clarified: “What would be the exact number of that, Madam President?”

“Yes, sir, that would be 32,” Sears said. Roem could then be heard putting down the microphone and leaving the chamber.”

Per-Erik Muskos, a councilman from the small town of Övertorneå, has announced plans to give the municipality’s 550 employees paid time off to have sex.

“There are studies that show sex is healthy,” Muskos explaied, adding that couples in Sweden weren’t spending enough time together. “It’s about having better relationships.”
