Penguins are flightless, aquatic birds that spend half their lives in water, and on land. They mainly habitat the Southern Hemisphere, with only the Galapagos penguin, north of the equator. They are members of the order Sphenisciformes and family Spheniscidae, and the number of extant penguin species is debated, somewhere between 17 – 20 current living species in total.
They range in size from the Little Blue (or Fairy) Penguin (Eudyptula minor) which stands just 40-centimetres tall to the Emperor Penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri) which averages just over 1-metre tall. Depending on the species, Penguins can weight from as little as 1-kilogram up to 40-kilograms and can live to 20 years. These meat eaters are usually found in coastal waters as well as areas that that are covered in ice.

One misconception about penguins is that they are all cold weather creatures. They are native to the southern hemisphere and are found not just in the Antarctic. Many species inhabit warmer climates with one in particular – the Galapagos Penguin – that calls the region near the Equator home.
Penguins can’t fly, but they sure can swim.
The wings of the Penguin have actually become flippers. This means they are somewhat clumsy on land, but can really move underwater. In fact, they are so agile ducking and weaving about that their actions in water look much like a bird in flight in air.
Penguins are speedy underwater and are deep sea divers.
When a Penguin dives into the water it can reach a speed of up to 12-kilometres per hour and when in high gear, some can reach up to 27 km/h. As for diving, the larger penguins can go deeper, with Emperor Penguins capable of diving down to depths of 565-metres – with dives lasting up to 22-minutes.
The average Penguin spends as much time on land as it does in the water.
Actually, they will spend half of their life in one or the other.
Penguins have devised ways to travel on land that would otherwise be hampered by their overall body shape and length of their legs.

They slide across snow on their bellies in a move known as tobogganing. When upright, Penguins waddle on foot or jump with both feet together in order to navigate terrain.
Although the actual number is not clearly known, there are many Penguin species.
The common belief is that there are between 17 and 20 different Penguin species on the planet.
Penguins use a layer of air for various benefits.
When underwater, the layer of air that is trapped in the smooth plumage of the bird provides buoyancy. The air layer also acts as an insulator when in cold water.
The diet of the Penguin is met with underwater diving.
It may look like they are playing, but since the Penguin feeds on sea life while swimming, it spends a lot of time in the water. One species, the Gentoo Penguin, can make up to 450 dives in a day when foraging for food.
Penguins have special underwater vision.
The eyes of the Penguin have special adaptations which provide superior underwater vision. It assists in finding food and spotting predators.
Penguins are highly social.
Because they tend to live in large colonies, Penguins have constant opportunities for social interaction and as a result have a number of vocal and visual signals that they have developed in order to communicate with one another.
They have large extended families.
Penguins also breed in large colonies. The Gentoo Penguin colonies can number just 100 pairs where other species have colonies in the size of several hundreds of thousands.

Penguins know the value of working together.
In harsh environments, Penguins will huddle together to stay warm and conserve energy. Once a bird in the center has warmed up, it moves to the perimeter and this continues so that each Penguin gets a turn in the center of the huddle.
Monogamy is common in the Penguin world.
Pairs will stick together during the breeding season. Often they will re-couple afterwards, or it depends. Sometimes a couple just goes their separate ways after the young have hatched and grow old enough to take care of themselves.
Homosexuality is part of the Penguin culture.
Penguins have the distinction of having the most widely publicized homosexual relationships of the entire animal kingdom.
Penguins have small families.
A typical clutch is two eggs however, the King and Emperor – the largest of the Penguin species – only have a single egg in a clutch. When measured proportionately to the adult Penguin body weight, these birds have the smallest eggs of any bird species on the planet.
Roughly 99.999% of the Penguin species will share the incubation duties.
It’s true, males take on as much of the work as females in the care of the eggs of their young. Well, that is with one exception. The male Emperor Penguin does not participate in this process.
It’s a good thing that most of the male Penguins pitch in with incubation shifts.

When one part of the Penguin couple ventures off to sea in order to feed, the incubating egg is left with the other partner. Sometimes the shift can go days and even months simply because the ice pack can form leaving open ocean as much as 80-kilometres away from the colony.
Penguins have incredible hearing.
It is with their sensitive hearing that parents and chicks are able to locate each other in a crowded colony.
Penguins have a built-in camouflage.
The counter shading of the Penguin plumage – black backs with white fronts – protect these birds from most prey that cannot distinguish a swimming Penguin from sun shimmering on the water surface when viewed from deep in the water below. The dark plumage on their backs helps to ‘hide’ them from above.
They have no land predators.
Penguins are safe in colonies on land as they have no predators except those living in the water. This is very likely why Penguins have little or no fear of humans. Humans have taken advantage of this and have been able to conduct many studies on these interesting birds without much problem.
The size of the Penguin can tell you where they are from.

The larger Penguin species inhabit the colder climates. This obviously means that the smaller Penguin species would live in the warmer climates of the world.

Now questions raised because Willis hired alleged lover’s law partner for $126,000
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ hired her alleged lover’s law partner to work for her office at a rate of $150 an hour, according to documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation — an arrangement that is raising eyebrows among legal experts who question her spending of public funds.
Christopher Campbell, a partner at Wade & Campbell Firm, has received $126,070 from the Office of the District Attorney since 2021, according to county records. Willis hired Campbell to provide services as a “Taint Attorney” reviewing privileged evidence beginning in Jan. 2021 at a rate of $150 an hour, contracts obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.
“Taint attorneys” help sift through files obtained from a search warrant to filter out evidence covered by things like attorney-client privilege and prevent them from being passed to prosecutors.
Willis appointed Campbell’s partner, Nathan Wade, in November 2021 to serve as special prosecutor in the case against former President Donald Trump despite him allegedly being her boyfriend.
A co-defendant of former President Donald Trump accused Willis in a motion last week of awarding Wade, her alleged lover, a “lucrative” contract, claiming she benefited from it because he took her on trips and cruises using the money he earned from the position. The motion further alleged Willis never secured approval from the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to appoint Wade and paid him using funds she requested to clear a backlog of cases from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The circumstances surrounding the contracts raise concerns about Willis’ allocation of funds, legal experts told the DCNF [Daily Caller News Foundation].
John Malcolm, vice president for the Heritage Foundation’s Institute for Constitutional Government and former deputy assistant attorney general in the DOJ’s Criminal Division, told the DCNF that payments to Campbell could pose additional problems for Willis if his work as a taint attorney was for the Trump case.
“It’s not just the issue about Wade being her paramour and the issue of kickbacks, but she also got the funds by misleading the Fulton County Commissioners about what the funds were going to be used for,” he said. “In addition to that, it would enrich [Wade’s] firm”…

Laura Loomer digs deeper (emphasis mine):
EXCLUSIVE
In addition to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis paying her lover Nathan Wade nearly $700,000 of taxpayer funds, Fani also spread the money from the Fulton County coffers to Terrence Ahmed Bradley, who is Nathan Wade’s divorce attorney/tenant.
So basically, while Fani was having an affair with a married man (Nathan Wade), she used $75,000 of Fulton County taxpayer money to pay for her lover’s divorce lawyer’s fees. Her lover Nathan Wade is the landlord for his divorce lawyer, as I have also uncovered that Wade is the owner of the office space that his lawyer Terrence Ahmed Bradley rents from him. He’s owned the space since 2017.
Additionally, records also reveal that Fani Willis also funneled $126,070 to another attorney named Christopher Campbell, who just happens to be Nathan Wade’s law partner.
This looks like potential money laundering of Fulton County, Georgia taxpayer funds by the corrupt, anti-Trump, Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis.
RECEIPTS! I have prepared a 4 image breakdown of the receipts below.

“‘I Just Don’t Know Where We Went Wrong,’ Contemplates Sports Illustrated Executive In Front Of Framed Covers Of Obese, Trans Swimsuit Models”

SPORTS · Jan 19, 2024 · BabylonBee.com
NEW YORK, NY — After sending a company-wide email to notify all of its staff that they were being laid off, a top executive at iconic publication Sports Illustrated contemplated how things turned out so wrong as he stood in front of framed covers of obese and trans swimsuit models.
“I just don’t know where things went south,” said Jack Weber. “Did we not get woke enough? Should we have featured trans models even earlier? Was the heavy woman we put on the cover not heavy enough? What was it? Maybe we should’ve given more consideration to plastering the Pride flag on our cover back in June. I was certain we signaled the appropriate amount of virtue for every possible cause and movement out there. It just makes no sense.”
The magazine, long seen as the authoritative source for all sports news, finally cut loose all its workforce after realizing no one was reading the publication anymore. “This really threw us for a loop,” Weber said. “We had so many big things planned to turn things around. A salute to Caitlyn Jenner. Naming Lia Thomas our Female Athlete of the Year. We were even in negotiations to have Lizzo as a special celebrity cover model for the swimsuit issue this year. Now, all of that will be lost.”
At publishing time, Sports Illustrated announced it had found a new solution to its problems by hiring an entirely new staff that would be the most diverse and inclusive in the history of sports news publications.”

“‘We Would Prefer If 3000 Babies Weren’t Murdered Every Day,’ Says Crowd Of Deranged Extremists”

WORLDVIEWS · Jan 19, 2024 · BabylonBee.com
WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to local authorities in the nation’s capital, a large mob of unhinged extremists has converged on the National Mall to politely state they would prefer it if 3,000 babies weren’t being killed every day.
“It’s disturbing to be reminded that lunatics like this really exist,” said Capitol Police Chief Donald Jones to reporters, who were huddling behind barricades for their safety. “It’s a sobering reminder that pockets of extremism still thrive in remote corners of this country. We will remain vigilant to ensure these deranged people don’t make any rash moves to stop the mass slaughter of babies.”
Several representatives from the group made their demands known in the form of polite statements to the media and cardboard signs held by school kids. “Yeah, that’s pretty much it,” said Dirk Flanders, spokesperson for the Please Stop Killing So Many Babies Foundation. “If it’s not too much to ask, maybe we can not kill 3,000 babies every day? I dunno, is that rude?” Thankfully, the disturbed zealot was quickly shouted down by a group of brave activists screaming into a bullhorn and throwing tampons.
Sources confirmed hundreds of thousands are attending this march and several like it around the country. Law enforcement is encouraging citizens to ignore it and pretend like nothing is happening.
At publishing time, sources had seen Ray Epps in the crowd trying to convince the crazed lunatics to storm the Capitol.”

“Study Finds Over 3 Million Millennial Women Die Of Dehydration Every Day Because They Don’t Have A Stanley Tumbler”

LIFE · Jan 19, 2024 · BabylonBee.com
ANN ARBOR, MI — A surprising new study reveals over three million millennial-age women die every day from dehydration linked to not owning a Stanley water bottle tumbler.
“This number is tragic but not surprising,” Lead Researcher Joel Rosenberg told reporters. “Everyone knows that without at least 2 or 3 Stanley tumblers, these millennial women will not get the minimum of 38 gallons of water per day required for them to survive. These 3 million deaths could have been avoided had all of these women owned a Stanley tumbler.”
The data show many millennial women own inferior water bottle brands that just can’t keep them properly hydrated. The Stanley bottle has risen in popularity over the past few years, especially among white, suburban moms who have Instagram accounts and pretend to bake sourdough. Researchers believe additional dehydration deaths are preventable but women need to act quickly and prioritize heading out to their local Target, throwing a few punches, and stopping at nothing to acquire the latest special-edition Stanley tumbler before it’s too late.
“We know these water bottles are a good $20, $30 over what other very similar bottles cost, but there seems to be a connection between women dying tragically of dehydration and not owning a Stanley, so we highly encourage every woman in the U.S. to run out and buy one today,” Rosenberg said. “The risks are just too high.”
As of publishing time, a reported two thousand additional women had died due to lack of Stanleys in just one day, while another ten thousand are thought to have died from exposure after not being able to find their favorite chapstick at the grocery store.”

“CRT and DEI call for the abolition of excellence, suppression of liberty, denial of justice, imposition of racial prejudice upon us—Challenging the U.S. Constitution”

By Paul E. Vallely & Colonel Andrew P. O’Meara Jr. US Army (Ret), January 20, 2024
EXCERPT: “The introduction of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Critical Race Theory (CRT) as part of the curriculum of the Service Academies has raised fears for the security of the U.S. Constitution. After years of ignoring, opposing, and criticizing the Constitution, it is feared the Democrats are determined to abolish the US Constitution, replacing it with WOKE doctrine, including DEI and CRT.
A far more legitimate case for the U.S. Constitution rests upon over two centuries of successful representative government by, for, and of the people. Since concepts contained in DEI and CRT challenge the Constitution as written by the founders, the case for the WOKE doctrines is called into question. It is a severe problem. The Constitution of the Republic is the highest law in the Land.
A recently published article by a professor at the Military Academy addresses support for the Constitution at the Academy. While professing loyalty to the Constitution by the Staff and Faculty, the professor asserts cadets at the Academy regularly revise the wording of the Oath taken by all cadets to defend the Constitution. The admission reveals the Oath is seen as communal property to do with cadets as faculty please, a gross misunderstanding.
If that misunderstanding were not bad enough, the dilemma is aggravated by the challenges posed by WOKE policy to the founding principles of the United States contained in the Constitution. Regrettably, the professor’s article completely ignores the contradictions posed by CRT and DEI to the Constitution.
CRT and DEI taught by the Service Academies pose a political revolution that deconstructs, denies, abolishes principles in the U.S. Constitution
The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence jointly capture the founding principles of the United States of America. Included among these principles are all men are created equal; we the people are endowed with inalienable rights to life, liberty, and happiness (understood as ownership of property); the people are sovereign; and American representative government in the form of a Constitutional Republic can only be altered by the American people through the Constitutionally approved amendment process.
—————–
It is necessary to remind the Staff and Faculty of the Military Academy and the Associated Press of the nature of the Oath taken by cadets. It is the property of the American people. It is not subject to opinions held by members of the Corps of Cadets. On the contrary, the Oath, the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence are immutable. They are the exclusive property of the people of the United States of America. They are subject to change based exclusively upon the will of the people.
We remind the Faculty of the Military Academy that the founding principles contained in the Constitution are not subject to change to accommodate the wishes of any political party. They are immutable and hold precedence over political party platforms. Party policy containing contradictions with the Constitution is unlawful. Accordingly, contradictions between party philosophy and the Constitution dictate party philosophy be deconflicted to conform with the Constitution.
Since CRT and DEI call for the abolition of excellence, suppression of liberty, denial of justice, and imposition of racial prejudice upon us, the people, we call upon the Administration to revise party doctrine in conflict with the fundamental principles of the United States Constitution.”

now asking black people to respond to emails is racist…
entire article
The district attorney prosecuting former president Donald Trump in Georgia suggested in an email exchange earlier this month that racism was at play when one of Trump’s attorneys pressed her team for a response to his emails.
Trump defense lawyer Steven Sadow requested responses from District Attorney Fani Willis’s team to a series of emails he sent, according to the New York Times, which obtained portions of the conversation. After Executive District Attorney Daysha Young replied by suggesting the prosecuting attorneys were being treated with disrespect because they’re black, Willis sent an email to Sadow affirming Young’s charge.
“In the legal community (and the world at large) some people will never be able to respect African Americans and/or women as their equal and counterpart. That is a burden you do not experience. Further, some are so used to doing it they are not even aware they are doing it while others are intentional in their continued disrespect,” Willis, who is black, said in an email to Sadow and Trump’s other defense attorneys, most of whom are white men.
The conversation began Jan. 5 when Sadow told the prosecution, “For the life of me, I cannot understand why you refuse to respond to the series of emails below.” Young, who is black, responded to him five days later, saying that she and Willis “are both aware, especially as an African American woman some find it difficult to treat us respectfully.”
“Over the last month the emails of some of you have been disrespectful and condescending lacking both professionalism and decorum,” Young said, adding that she did not respond to some of the emails because they were disrespectful. Sadow then said that alleging racism was “offensive, uncalled for, and untrue” and that Young’s lack of communication “suggests a degree of haughtiness.”
That was when Willis made her statement.
“Now you know, I cannot be bullied,” Willis said in her response to Sadow.
“As you are aware,” she added, “I have now experienced some of the most powerful people in the country call me everything, but a child of God. But, yet here I and my team stand still pursuing justice.”
Sadow has defended prominent black celebrities in his legal career, including the singer Usher and rappers T.I., Rick Ross, and, most recently, Gunna.
Willis is facing controversy after a court filing accused her of engaging in an improper relationship with Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor she appointed to lead a racketeering case against the former president. In a Sunday speech, she suggested that racism had a part in the allegations against her and Wade, who is also black.

yes…the old one was 17 years old. raccoons ATE the plastic wheels and tore down the drip pan so many times it has to be wired up. the inside stuff was crumbling as well…so time for a new one.
we wanted one without side burners–we never would use those anyway. so i went on lowes’ website…picked the one we wanted and made sure that they had several in stock. it was $179–more than the old one for sure, but again, 17 yrs ago.
we get there, snag an employee and he finds it in the computer for us and says we need a blue goose.
what the heck is a blue goose i wondered. it’s one of the gadgets that allows an employee to raise himself high enough to snag items stacked to the roof and bring them safely down.
cool to watch. anyway we get to the cashier and he scans one side and says $449…I said uh…NO. it’s 179–the employee in outdoor living found it for us. so he scans a different side of the box and sure enough $179. he calls the manager over and she puzzles over it…when hubby notices the first scan is an item that has 2 side burners and a warmer. these were scan codes directly printed on the box! anyway the manager finds the one we wanted in the computer and the product number matches the one on the box, so she said what the f*ck and said everywhere says it’s $179…it’s gotta be $179….sigh
we paid and left.

This is blatantly using government funds for the re-election campaign of FJB. Where oh where is our RNC leader and/or the SEC?
“Hawley Blasts DHS Propaganda Grant To ‘Counter’ Conservatives”
On Wednesday, Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas condemning the department’s $700,000 grant to an activist left-wing group. According to The Daily Wire, DHS deployed counterterrorism resources “to pay activists to write blog posts that criticized Donald Trump and other conservatives under the guise of ‘media literacy
This amounts to the use of government funds to further President Biden’s political agenda,” Hawley added.
