Russell Cave National Monument

A relatively small cave in what is today northeastern Alabama, Russell Cave has been home to virtually every cultural group in the region. The cave, one of many archeological sites in the Russell Cave National Monument, provided shelter to various groups for approximately 12,000 years – from roughly 10,000 BC to 1650 AD. This staggering achievement makes Russell Cave one of the oldest rock shelters in the eastern United States. Archeological remains found beyond the mouth of the cave and in other surrounding areas provide additional evidence and markers of this long period of settlement.

The cave and associated burial sites and shelters are all the more remarkable, because the occupation and use of the area was regular, providing a chronological layering of artifacts from before recorded history to the modern era. Created when part of the cave collapsed, the shelter inside the cave is roughly 30 by 65 yards and has a streambed that forms part of the cave floor. Attracted by a year-round water source and the consistent temperature inside the cave, many American Indian groups regularly used Russell Cave as a seasonal dwelling place. The cave is located in a valley along the Tennessee River, which helped supply the cave occupants with shellfish and game. Given the location of the cave within the valley, it is probable that the entire area was a hunting ground even before the formation of the cave. As American Indian groups discovered the cave, and camped and lived in it, they found food and raw materials to develop tools on the land around it. They also used the surrounding land for religious ceremonies, including burial of the dead. More recently, this land was the possible site of a log cabin as well as two historic coalmines and associated structures.

Paleoindian peoples, the first humans in North America, were the first group to use Russell Cave. Artifacts from this period tend to be projectile points formed of stone quarried nearby and sharpened into points inside the cave. The majority of objects found at Russell Cave, though, come from three later archeological stages: the Archaic Stage (7000 to 500 BC), the Woodland Stage (500 BC to 1000 AD), and the Mississippian Stage (1000 to 1600 AD). While Archaic dwellers were sedentary hunters and gatherers with few social divisions, the material culture of the Woodland period indicates that larger populations supported the development of a social structure and widening trade networks. In general, people of the Mississippian Stage were very sedentary travelling less than previous groups and relying heavily on the cultivation of crops. They also had highly developed religious ceremonies and political structures. The artifacts recovered from Russell Cave reflect the technological and social changes typical for the Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian Stages.

Given the long history of settlement of Russell Cave, the archeological material provides a level of depth uncommon at other sites. In both the cave and surrounding areas, the continued presence of humans has resulted in a collection of artifacts that almost trace the complete development of some technologies. The cave has yielded projectile points, fishhooks (7500 to 5000 BC and 3500 to 500 BC), basketry (7500 to 5000 BC), and ceramics (7500 BC to 1540 AD). Pottery shards date from the earliest ceramic pieces to those of the early 19th century, and some of the fishhooks are of a type not seen anywhere else. Outside the cave, in some of the outlying archeological areas, seed evidence remains of the maize and other crops cultivated as early as 500 BC.

Residency in the cave and use of the adjacent areas in religious ceremonies declined after about 1000 AD as the local populations, who had formerly used the cave as temporary seasonal shelter, developed permanent year-round villages. Following the arrival of the Europeans in the early 1500s, the use of the Russell Cave area practically ceased, as new settlers replaced American Indian groups. Artifacts from after the mid-1500s indicate that the cave saw only sporadic use as a hunting camp before becoming private property in 1817. The Russell family owned the cave at one point, giving the cave its name. The cave site represents the development of early culture and society and provides important evidence of how American Indians of the region lived for thousands of years.

Despite its eventual decline as a shelter, Russell Cave National Monument offers a unique opportunity to view the past in the present. Although the natural setting has changed slightly since 10,000 BC, the site of the cave itself has remained relatively unaltered. Today, the visitor center and museum present artifacts and reproductions of objects found in and around the cave as well as films about the earliest settlers in the region. Ranger-led cave tours allow visitors to explore the cave itself; other tours conducted by the rangers demonstrate pre-contact weaponry and tools. A visit to Russell Cave is a journey through the early settled history of the Americas presented not only through artifacts, but also through a tour of the very site where people have lived for thousands of years.

    1. I can relate, sort of, given my husband’s work schedule of slightly more than a year now. He gets up at 3am to leave at 3:30am. I usually don’t go up to our room on weeknights because he sleeps so lightly & I want him to be as rested as possible for the workday, which starts at 4:30am. If there’s no OT he’s done around 1pm & home around 2. Then he naps & showers, not necessarily in that order, & has an early dinner. He’s usually in bed by 8pm on work nights.

I’m a pretty big night owl & my sleep schedule, if you can call it that, has been seriously messed up for many years (when I had special ed legal cases for my son I did most of my work on the cases in the middle of the night when everyone else was asleep so I could actually get concentrated work done). Anyway, now that hubby has these really crazy work hours there is literally any point in the 24 hour cycle where I might be awake or asleep. I’ve taken to just dropping into sleep when my eyes get tired & have a hard time focusing on what I’m reading. I’ve been asleep on the couch with 4 other people in the tiny room & heard nothing–blush…

I usually set the stove timer to go off around 3:10am to wake him (& me if I’ve fallen asleep) up if he’s slept through his alarm, which happens rarely. I try to get his lunch box situated for him to help him get out the door w/ slightly fewer things to handle himself. He usually makes himself a pot of fresh coffee to take with him but that actually just takes a couple minutes. 🙂

I’m actually in a fairly sleep deprived state now, waiting for my daughter to come pick up Josiah to take him for a needed blood draw (she’s a paid staff for him again!) following a med change about a month ago. This blood work is time dependent & needs to happen by 9:50am if it’s to be in the 12-13 hour window since his last dose. Fortunately the lab is less than a mile away!

        1. That’s sweet Pat, Thx. My daughter came a couple minutes ago so hopefully they get it all done “on time” but if not the doctor’s office can do some type of calculation to approximate the theoretically correctly timed blood work, LOL…

How’s your hubby doing now? Hope you are taking care of yourself in addition to taking care of him! ❤

          1. he is doing well i think. he walks around sometimes without the oxygen at all. when he gets out of breath he practices the recovery breathing taught to him by a therapist–and that really helps. we FINALLY got the oxygen finger monitor thing delivered and he’s doing well. he’s been sleeping much much better too.
            thanks for asking.
i am holding my breath though because of the poison they gave him in the hospital….

BREAKING: The man who has been filing lawsuits in every state to get Donald Trump removed from the 2024 election ballot has been arrested & charged with filing 17 sets of false tax documents to the IRS

In total, John Anthony Castro has been charged with 33 counts of aiding the preparation of false tax returns. Prosecutors claim he ran a virtual tax preparation business that provided customers with tax returns beyond what they were actually owed, defrauding the government.

Castro announced his “campaign” for President in the Republican primary which was clearly all for show in order for the deep state to use him as a vehicle to file the ballot lawsuits (all of which have failed).

You literally cannot make this up, this guy told judges Donald Trump was a criminal when in actuality, he was a criminal

    1. I would love him as VP – he is an outstanding man any way you look at it. But the VP has to be deeply cognizant on the workings behind-the-scenes in Congress. Unfortunately, Dr. Carson doesn’t have that experience or knowledge. Personally, I’d love to see him somewhere in Trump’s cabinet where he would have a direct affect/supervision on the medical side of things.

  4. this nonsense has to stop!
guy in NE apparently detained (arrested?) for shoplifting is demanding $100M from walmart or unlimited LIFETIME shopping. another ridiculous suit –guy wanted to bring his own chair to a movie theater and was not permitted to. safety regulations and common sense, anyone???

    article

DEI in a nutshell. Endless grievance and bottomless demands.

In one of the complaints, [Robert] Jackson claims that he is suing for “false pretense of shoplifting” that occurred in March 2021 at a Walmart store in Omaha, Nebraska.

Jackson said in a separate complaint filed the same day that he suffered “civil rights violations based on race/color” at the Nebraska Walmart.

Both of Jackson’s suits request relief up to $100 million or “unlimited free lifetime shopping at any Walmart,” additionally asking that any court fees be paid by the defendant on the plaintiff’s behalf.

Jackson’s 2021 lawsuit says that he sustained injuries such as headaches and chest pain from the emotional stress of the incident as well as “frequent pain from too tight handcuffs of being detained.”

Sure it’s easy to laugh, but wait until Ben Crump or Al Sharpton get involved.

William J. Barber II is in the midst of a dispute with AMC movie theaters because he claims that when he went to see The Color Purple, he had his assistant bring a chair along because he can’t sit in movie theater chairs, and he was forbidden from doing that, and then got into an argument with staff. The CEO of AMC called him, Barber II held a press conference and has a lawyer. I can only imagine how much blood money he’ll extract from AMC for that chair argument.

Maybe AMC can give him free lifetime movies.

  5. I’m on the borderline of possibly 5 – 9″ of snow coming my way, starting around 9 am in my area. High temp yesterday was 39 — it is 9 right now with a projected high of 11 (wind chill around -25), Friday 6, Sat -1, Sun -8. With the NW wind and lighter, fluffier snow this time, there will be a LOT of drifting in back. Possible blizzard conditions by tomorrow morning and I’m included on that map….but just barely. The winds could get as high as 45MPH! Alrighty then – feeders BACK on the patio!

Possible wind chill starts really plunging tonight, eventually heading towards -45 by the week-end. Whoooo, buddy! Hmmm….my case of BF mini’s was delayed until today but, unless they deliver it this morning, I’m betting I don’t get it today either. I’ve got enough for now and, worse comes to worse, I’ll walk a block to Family $. This takes me back to the “good old days” when I was growing up here….every winter was like this, pretty much. No, I do NOT miss it!

I’ve been holding on to this ground report since before Christmas. This is another clot shot horror…AND moar.

Roughly November 2022 one of my son’s wife’s aunt, who was “vax’d” & likely “boosted” had a massive health event, presumably a stroke, that left her very incapacitated & on a ventilator/breathing machine. She was mostly paralyzed & ultimately got a tracheostomy, iirc. She was in & out of the ICU for weeks/months & when eventually stabilized sent to a nursing home or rehab center.

Many months of back & forth health issues occurred that saw her travelling between the hospital & the nursing/rehab facility. She never returned home after that “stroke”. My DIL or her sister accompanied their mother to her sister’s bedside to care for her sometimes even twice a month, often living in their car to offset costs for this repeated travel…

Several times it appeared that she was close to death & my DIL & her mom & sometimes her sister would make emergency trips to be with this aunt. Each time she rallied. Slowly she began to regain some minimal functioning including the ability to communicate with her loved ones, but I think this was more via gestures rather than verbally.

DIL’s mother is the oldest sibling in that family, & they were all from Mexico, so there are language & cultural barriers (not to mention special needs) making it hard to get a Complete picture of what exactly was going on with this whole scenario. A couple times my son’s MIL read the riot act to health care providers as her sister’s care was sub-par in the extreme, leaving her with open bed sore wounds, as large as the palm of your hand & having bone exposed & providing no medicine or treatment other than washing them w/ soap & water, apparently only when her sister would “scream” at them.

So, these things were happening in the vicinity of DC, in Virginia. I was hearing a lot of things second & third hand from my son or DIL but finally spoke w/ son’s MIL after her sister’s passing & learned the worst, which I unfortunately had suspected.

As I said before a number of times this aunt was near death, or so the Michiganders were told, & they rushed to be at her bedside repeatedly. Finally they were assured she was in fact “dying” & that there would be one final visit to say goodbye before “life support” was removed. My understanding was that this meant they would be turning off the ventilator/breathing machine.

Anyway, info was trickling in that “other things” were being removed as the aunt continued to linger…I suspected a Terri Schaivo scenario & that was horrifyingly confirmed in the discussion w/ son’s MIL following her sister’s death.

Basically, at some point, & the MIL wasn’t sure just exactly who made this decision, they stopped giving her food & liquids & basically starved & dehydrated her to death. The MIL was with her sister days before she passed & observed someone wafting her favorite type of coffee in front of her nose but refusing to allow her a drink even though she clearly wanted one.

So someone decided to off a medically fragile, severely “vax injured” disabled woman who was NOT in a (controversially “assessed”) persistent vegetative state. She was brought into this condition directly as a result of the Covid Clot Shot, in my opinion. She suffered being starved & dehydrated to death over the majority/entirety? of the 9 days she lasted after turning off “life support”.

This is NOTHING like the scenario shared at the Q-Tree recently of a loved one who passed after about 20 minutes when turning off life support.

This family is mostly from Mexico & speak Spanish & some heavily accented English, at least the MIL’s generation. The aunt’s husband & adult daughter were involved in the decision to allow the removal of “life support” but it is unclear, given language & cultural & perhaps even financial barriers, if they had Fully Informed Consent as to what was to be done to their wife & mother. My son’s MIL was definitely Not in the decision process but was a witness several times to her sister’s suffering & is straight up convinced that she was starved & dehydrated to death.

I don’t know if insurance was a factor in this process for this woman had lingered in her very diminished state for just over a year, ultimately passing just before Christmas.

Barak Hussein Obama’s Death Panels are alive & kicking…

I am repulsed & horrified by this needless suffering & cruel treatment culminating in a torturous medical murder by an apparent American version of the “Liverpool ‘Care’ Pathway”. There are No Words for this Monstrous Evil inflicted on a regular person who naively just went along with mandates/recommendations to get injected w/ genocide juice.

Any thoughts? How can a Terri Schiavo style death be “standard of ‘care’” in America???

    JULIE KELLY
    JAN 10, 2024

EXCERPT: “If a court proceeding held in the nation’s capital on Tuesday is an indication of how 2024 will go—things will be a lot worse than even the biggest skeptic predicted.

A three-judge panel of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia—Biden appointees Florence Pan and Michelle Childs and George H. W. Bush appointee Karen Henderson—heard oral arguments for Donald Trump’s appeal of a lower court decision that concluded presidents are not immune from criminal prosecution for their conduct in office. The appeal originated out of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s four-count indictment against the former president related to the events of January 6.

Given the unprecedented nature of the matter before the court, one would assume the two Biden-appointed judges would take extra care in conducting the hearing as impartially and untheatrically as possible. Further, Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, an Obama appointee, last month authored the landmark decision that denied Trump’s motion to dismiss Smith’s case on immunity grounds.

Convincing the American people that judges appointed by Democrats—including those appointed by the incumbent president using his Department of Justice to pursue not one but two criminal cases against his predecessor and presumptive 2024 rival—would demand restraint and, dare we say, maturity.

    That, however, did not happen.

Pan’s Ready-Made Headline Trap — The debate involved two competing, and untested, views: Team Trump argues impeachment and conviction by Congress is the Constitutionally mandated way to handle criminal conduct by a president while Smith and Chutkan argue that being president does not confer a “get-out-of-jail-free pass,” as Chutkan wrote in her opinion….”

“Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that he believes had the 2020 election not gone the way it did and were he still president right now, a path to true peace in the Middle East was possible.

Instead, with Democrat President Joe Biden taking office after the 2020 election, the region has further destabilized and no new countries have joined the historic Abraham Accords since. During Trump’s presidency, several Arab nations joined the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between them and the Jewish state of Israel.

The countries that joined during the Trump administration were the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. Trump says that several others were on the verge of joining, including even possibly Iran, but Biden taking office and reverting to a failed approach to the Middle East scuttled the efforts and has disintegrated any progress. Not one country has joined the Abraham Accords during Biden’s entire presidency.

“You would have had every country sign, including possibly Iran, into the Abraham Accords if the election wasn’t rigged,” Trump told Breitbart News in a more-than-two-hour-long exclusive interview here at Mar-a-Lago. “By this time, you would have had every country—Saudi Arabia, and maybe even Iran—signed.”

Trump argued that his approach to the Iranians—he was ruthless with them financially through sanctions, and obviously ordered the killing of Qassem Soleimani—was going to force the Islamic Republic of Iran to the bargaining table.

“Iran, as you know, was broke with me. Now, they’ve got $250 billion,” Trump said. “I’m not even talking about the $6 billion and the $10 billion. They have $250 billion now, but they were broke. There was no money for Hamas, no money for Hezbollah.”

Trump also said that if he were president the Hamas terrorists in Gaza—which are largely funded by the Iranians—never would have been able to launch the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

“It [the October 7 attack in Israel] never would have happened,” Trump said. “We would have taken much more decisive action if it did. I don’t understand these people.” — Breitbart

EXCERPT: “At this point, one might be forgiven for thinking that the Nord Stream pipelines sabotage is already ancient history. After all, mainstream media and prime time TV news coverage has by and large ‘moved on’ as soon as it became clear that Russia had nothing to do with it.

At this point, the consensus even among Moscow’s vehement enemies is that the September 26, 2022 series of blasts which disabled the Russia to Germany NS-1 and NS-2 natural gas pipelines had Ukrainian and/or Western involvement. While MSM sources have favored the theory that it was a mystery group of pro-Ukraine operatives on a small yacht, legendary investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has reported that it was a CIA and US Navy special operation with help from Norwegian intelligence services.

Since then, the ongoing investigation by Germany, Denmark and Sweden into the details of what happened has continued to yield very interesting, incremental developments. The latest was revealed in a Wall Street Journal report this week, and involves apparent Polish obstruction of the probe, which has been deemed by officials to be highly suspicious.” — ZeroHedge

  13. “The Wind Turbine Industry Has A “Whale” Of A Problem Despite Leftist’ Denials”
    By Milt Harris —— Bio and Archives–January 11, 2024

EXCERPT: “The left wants us to believe that they are on the side of everything good and righteous. That the myth of climate change is real and their incessant push for everything to be powered by anything, but fossil fuel is justified. They want us to believe that they love and protect nature, and the conservative thought process is anti-planet and profit driven.

Electric cars are far more destructive to the planet — What they don’t tell you is that electric cars, because of the need for lithium-Ion batteries, are far more destructive to the planet. The lithium batteries are extremely expensive, heat-sensitive, hard to recycle, have a relatively low energy density, and a short service life.

In addition, discarded batteries pose a threat to human health and environmental sustainability, lithium-ion batteries may overheat and burn when exposed to high temperatures or when penetrated, releasing carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide that can be very harmful to human health.

The government under the Biden administration is also demonstrating their incompetence by mindlessly pushing the wind industry, even though a recent National Wind Coordinating Committee (NWCC) review of peer-reviewed research found evidence of bird and bat deaths from collisions with wind turbines and due to changes in air pressure caused by the spinning turbines, as well as from habitat disruption.

Wind Turbines also create a low-level noise, they aren’t aesthetically pleasing, and there are limited locations suitable for wind turbines. One place that the government and MSM want you to believe is fine for these monstrosities is in the waters off of the east coast.

Thrown to the Wind — Michael Shellenberger is an American author and journalist who writes about politics, the environment, climate change, and nuclear power. He calls the industrial wind projects which are proven to kill whales, the biggest environmental scandal in the world. Last year in a Public released its documentary “Thrown to the Wind,” he exposed the price the world is actually paying for the industrialization of our oceans by offshore wind corporations: the killing of whales and the potential extinction of an entire cetacean species.

On Monday, he released a follow-up to the original, “Thrown to the Wind, Part 2,” which provides more hard evidence that the wind industry is harming whales. “We won a big victory last year, in helping to halt a wind project off the coast of New Jersey,” Shellenberger says. Unfortunately, plans are moving forward on the wind projects along the rest of the East Coast. “If they go forward, they will make the North Atlantic right whale extinct.”

The following is Shellenberger’s dissertation on this cruel charade that’s being instigated by the left at the expense one of nature’s most revered species….”

Iran has confirmed it seized an US Oil Tanker. I wonder how this administration is going to spin this story?

“Iran’s navy seizes oil tanker in Gulf of Oman that was at the center of a major US-Iran crisis”

    Excerpt:
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran’s navy seized an oil tanker on Thursday in the Gulf of Oman that once was at the center of a major crisis between Tehran and Washington, officials said, a seizure that further escalates tensions in the Mideast waterways.
The vessel was once known as the Suez Rajan and was involved in a yearlong dispute that ultimately saw the U.S. Justice Department seize 1 million barrels of Iranian crude oil on it.
The seizure also comes after weeks of attacks by Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi rebels on shipping in the Red Sea, including their largest barrage ever of drones and missiles launched late Tuesday. That has raised the risk of possible retaliatory strikes by U.S.-led forces now patrolling the vital waterway, especially after a United Nations Security Council vote on Wednesday condemning the Houthis and as American and British officials warned of potential consequences over the attacks.

  15. Pat, here is a pic of one small flock of birds – at times, there were at least twice that many out there and there were at least 8-10 on the big feeder under the eaves when I took the picture. When they hear the interior patio door open, the whole flock takes off together and trickles back in small groups. BTW, I took some before pics of the snow as it is now….we’ll see what the day brings! Long icicles on my downspouts – my gutters always fill up with ice in the winter – probably due to poor insulation in the attic.

      1. At that moment – more showed up after I came back inside. I would think they would feed pretty heavily this morning, before the snow comes.

  16. “Prince Harry’s Military Friend Has ‘Legs’ Stolen”

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ whatsuptoday: “A former Royal Marine and Invictus Games champion told his followers on Wednesday that a set of his prosthetic legs had been swiped out of his parked car in west London. Mark Ormrod, 40, tweeted that the discovery of the theft had not been “the best start to my day!!!”

Attaching a video clip of his smashed-up vehicle, Ormrod explained that the thieves had stolen “a bag full of sweaty gym [clothes], another bag with my JiuJitsu Gi in and what’s really inconvenient is they took a set of my prosthetic legs!” The car was parked at a Premier Inn, which told Ormrod that its security cameras did not capture the break-in, he said. The hotel told BBC News that it is looking into the matter.

Hailed by Prince Harry as a “real hero,” Ormrod is a triple amputee who survived being wounded by an improvised explosive device while serving in Afghanistan in 2007. An Invictus Games athlete, he has won four gold medals in the competition, and has worked extensively with the Royal Marines Charity. “The sad thing is to think that someone would break into a car parked in a disabled parking space and steal equipment someone needs to live independently,” Ormrod tweeted, “and not even care.”

  17. Huh…just got an e-mail that my package is “out for delivery” so, since the local PO usually brings stuff like this, I called and told them not to worry about getting it to my house; just set it by the mailbox and I’ll come and get it, so she doesn’t have to trudge thru the snow.

      1. Oh, no, I like her! She’s cool! I give them cukes and lopes so we get along famously! But that’s also for very short periods of time so…. Of course, I don’t know her name but, then, I’d probably forget it anyway! LOL

  20. NF: Oh, my, does this one ever bring back memories! I can remember being soooo shy at one point that I really didn’t want to walk up in front of the whole class to sharpen my pencil! But I can also distinctly remember doing it to show off a new dress…

  22. “Jews Realize They’ve Dug Too Far When They Pop Out Of The Ground Next To A Mountie Drinking Maple Syrup On A Moose In Front Of A Tim Hortons”
    WORLD · Jan 10, 2024 · BabylonBee.com

TORONTO — Tunnel-dwelling orthodox Jews from Brooklyn found themselves in unfamiliar territory after popping out of a hole in the ground next to a Mountie drinking maple syrup on a moose in front of a Tim Hortons.

The devout Jewish men had toiled underground for weeks to expand their network of secret subterranean tunnels before emerging into what seemed to them to be an alternate reality of hockey, ice fishing, and poutine.

“Ov-vey! Wha-what is this place?” asked Abraham Benowitz as he shielded his eyes from the bright sunlight. “We’ve dug too far. We are not in New York anymore, my brothers. Is that a man sitting on a moose?”

The men huddled together as they observed a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police sipping a cup of maple syrup while sitting astride an enormous moose. “Oh, hi there, eh?” the Mountie said with extreme politeness. “You fellas visiting from down south in the States?”

Onlookers reported seeing the group of Jews cautiously approach the front entrance of the nearby Tim Hortons restaurant to ask for help. “Kinda funny-lookin’ guys, eh?” one witness asked. “With the hats and the curls of hair and whatnot.”

As the men settled into a booth, their fear began to subside. “This is not a bad place to find by mistake,” Benowitz said. “It could have been much worse. We could’ve ended up at Harvard!”

At publishing time, the Jewish men were experiencing overwhelmingly polite service as they enjoyed donuts and coffee while they discussed whether they needed to tunnel back home or just catch a ride on their top-secret invisible Jew jet.”

    POLITICS · Jan 10, 2024 · BabylonBee.com

U.S. — The political world is reeling this afternoon after Republican favorite and frontrunner Chris Christie announced he will be suspending his campaign to run for president. The beloved conservative populist cited his desire to spend more time with his family-sized 12-piece chicken meal from KFC.

“I know Americans were dying to vote for me,” said the former primary candidate, “but I can’t continue to neglect my beloved family-sized 12-piece chicken meal from KFC. I need to get my priorities back where they need to be. I ask that you give me and my family-sized 12-piece chicken meal from KFC our privacy at this time.”

The beloved former governor and folk hero then got into his large SUV with his family-sized 12-piece chicken meal from KFC and closed the tinted windows for privacy.

At publishing time, Christie had also been seen spending quality time with his family-sized box of Oreos from Costco.”

  24. That’s interesting….a ladderback WP was feeding in the garden bed and the 4 Blue Jays were very careful to stay a respectable distance away from him. Guess we know who rules the roost between them!
